okay. so i have alot of filler in my walkthroughs. artwork, maps,
commentary that is worthless to finishing the game, whatever other worthless
filler like stuff you can name. but hey, it's free ! i didn't charge you any
thing and the servers i use didn't, either. so take it easy on me.

this is like my semblance of a LIFE here, maan ! *cry*

*sniff* oh yeah ! and NO TOUCHING ! *cryyyy boo hoooo*

Here you will become well acquainted with the play controls.
You will meet with ... ... shh ... don't look over there ... pretend like
you are my friend ... ... okay, coast is clear ... as I was saying, you will
meet up with

                               * KA BANG *

ugh ... okay ... they got me ... listen ... I don't have much time so i'll
get you through this game as quick as possible ... I'll show you simple maps
that will get you from location to location easily, and near the end of an
act I'll show you a map of the whole area for safe-keeping ... anyways ...

                           -=+=- Controls -=+=-

In Dialogue : Dialogue is when there is somebody's face in your face and
there are funny words going on. Press the (A) button to pass along a
dialogue screen when the current one is completed. Press (B) button,
sometimes, to cancel dialogues. Usually, just press the button you are
prompted to press after each screen. When the dialogue is finished, pressing
(A) against will start it all over on you.

In Platform Action : Platform Action is when you are standing up, walking
around in a suit, and people are walking toward you and/or shooting you in
the head. Press (B) button to jump, (A) button to attack.

In Swimming Action : Same as a Platform Action control, but pressing (B) for
jump doesn't apparently do anytherng *hic*. 8-13-00

.. ... oh yeah

In uhhh Maze Action : You know it's a maze when you are looking down
hallways and corridors and stuff. And it's like a maze. Press ... (A), I'm
pretty sure -- no, (B) ... to throw a grenade. And the other button
(whichever one it is) to fire your weapon when faced with an attacked.

                           -=+=- Fighting -=+=-

Oh yeah . The first things you'll notice is you can at first only kick at
things and jump around, and that all your opponents are heavily armed and
rather quick. You'll need to be good at kicking and jump-kicking now, so
practice. Walk along until you see a man with a greasy black haircut and a
grey suit. He will probably shoot at you, but you are able to jump right on
up and over bullets and other missiles. You are also able to jump nearly
three times your own height. If you attack while you're in the air, you'll
do a jump-kick even if you have your gun ready. And, you can jump kick very
low to the ground as well as way up in the air. For these suits, you can
kick them right in the head or do a low-jump-kick and take them out.

                          -=+=- The Virus -=+=-

The second thing you'll notice is that your hit points decrease every few
seconds. This is obviously the Cassandra-G virus in your system at work on
your body, destroying it. (Or so I gather) . Otherwise why would somebody as
powerful as Golgo-13 (a.k.a. Duke Togo) be bothering with such lowly
"international criminals" as these ? It's obvious they have put the virus
into his system and he's just interested now in eliminating the annoying
loss of hit points that occurs every few seconds. Imagine a twenty hour
flight ! Since he can't kill innocents, he'd have to seek out and destroy
any armed opponents he could aboard the plane. If everybody was civilian, he
would be left with destroying the plane itself to provide him with the hit
points he needs to stay alive, and that would leave him with a deadly fall
for sure, but nothing worth writing a novel about. Not here, anyways. Not
now.

Shh ! That man over there ... no , don't look ... ... be quiet ... act like
you're my grandmother ... ... ... no ! not like that , you -- ...

                               * KA BANG *

.. ack ... they got me again ... "okay boys, i'll play dumb!" ... they are
leaving now ... ugggh ... let's continue ...

                            -=+=- Prizes -=+=-

Every time you kill something, you will receive a prize of some ammunition
and some more hit points. The ammunition starts off low and the prize you
get from the grey suits isn't much, but later in the game you will rarely
find yourself running out of ammo. For now, conserve your bullets until you
get to at least a couple hundred rounds, and then just fire at anything you
want to because you're sure to always score more bundles of ammo soon.
You'll find that during the _Pow!_ scenes and the flight scenes, you receive
such huge prizes that after a few of these you won't need to worry about
running out of ammo anymore. But any uncareful player will sustain blows
that will end their life short, so remember -- just because you have tons of
hit points doesn't mean you won't lose them all some day. Whenever you need
more hit points or bullets, walk around one relatively safe area killing
easy opponents until you have them back again.

                            -=+=- _Pow!_ -=+=-

While you're walking around the streets of europe, sometimes you'll be
facing opponents face-to-face in side-scrolling action. Other times, you'll
notice a funny orange gun appear near the bottom of your screen and you'll
be using your controller to move cross-hairs over the opponent and firing
around 360 degrees at a host of enemies. It's during these firing sessions
that I call "_Pow!_" on the map that you'll score the most of your energy
and ammunition as you are street walking.

                          -=+=- Locations -=+=-

You will also have to enter various buildings and other locations from the
side-view. When you are at a location that seems like you can or should
enter, press up on the control pad and you'll walk into it. While some
locations are very easy to point out, such as a square shelter with an open
doorway on it leading to a subway station, others are very hard to find and
at one or two points in the game you may feel as if there is no where to go
when really the entry locations are rather obscured. One of these cases is
in greece near the parthenon but I'll get to that later.

                            -=+=- Flight -=+=-

The first major change of scenery you'll notice is the flight scene. Here,
you will pilot a flying vehicle through the air against a barrage of fire
from all sorts of powerful aeroplanes and satellites. And, you will also be
suscepted to the _Pow!_ sessions in the air as well. Most of the opponents
in flight will take numerous shots to destroy, but the payoff in prizes is
usually well worth it.

                           -=+=- Swimming -=+=-

The next change of scenery will be the swimming. You will be equipped with
scuba gear that never runs out of oxygen and a spear gun that uses your
normal ammunition. You will face frog men (a term that means "Guys in Scuba
Gear") and sharks, octopii, and other underwater denizens including the most
horrible dreaded Sea Weed. Also watch out for floating medusa (mines) that
can take lots of your hit points away and are clustered to provide you with
maximum maneuvering annoyance.

                          -=+=- The Mazes -=+=-

You will find yourself here and there in a first-person perspective looking
down long tunnels and into doorways. These are the mazes, the most
complicated (save the plot) and time-consuming (save the chatting) parts of
the entire game. The best way to get through them is by mapping them out on
graph paper as I have done myself. The details of the map are too
complicated to reproduce in full here, but I will author another file in a
different format that contains the maps.

Well now ! So much for any linearity I was hoping to maintain in this guide.
Suddenly you are ported away from the side-scrolling level and into the air
where you will face many flying opponents who possess great skill and arms
( hey where did the great legs go? ) and you will be in your small flying
Yellow Submarine, making swiss cheese out of the bad guys with the mounted
cannon. No, you aren't using your M66 just yet ... you DO have to keep both
hands free to pilot the Submar-- err Helicopter.

The Enemies You will Face (I don't care what the book calls them):

S*T*A*R*T -> Two Mig Fighters -> Two More Migs -> A Bomber ->

THE MIGS are tricky. You will have to pre-empt them and shoot as they appear
on the screen while you move up or down firing rapidly. You will hit both of
them for sure, and maybe take a hit or two from thier red exploding balls.
Migs always attack very quickly in pairs from the right side of the screen.
LIFE'S REWARD:
AMMO GAINED  :

THE BOMBERS aren't so tough, but you have to take alot of damage from their
cannons before destroying them. I don't know how right I am, but it appears
that direct hits don't damage it. You have to fire constantly while moving up
and down making a wide spray over its entire body, and then it sort of dies.
It's hard to say what kills this thing.
Bombers always attack very slowly from the left side of the screen.
Destroying its bullets rewards you with about 10 bullets.
LIFE'S REWARD:
AMMO GAINED  : 25

-> Another Bomber -> A Rotator -> Two Migs -> A Bomber -> Two Migs ->

Ack! THE ROTATOR ! You will have to rapidly fire at this thing while moving up
and down and spray its face with your rapid bullets. This should tear it up.
If you don't move around alot it won't die as fast, and getting hit bby its
rotating circle of energetic balls or it's head isn't very pleasant.
This thing takes LOTS of bullets to kill so keep at it and don't run out !
The Rotator always attacks slowly from the right side of the screen.
LIFE'S REWARD: 200?
AMMO GAINED  : 0

-> A Bomber -> Two Migs -> Two Migs -> _Pow!_3 -> A Rotator -> A Bomber ->

-> Another Bomber -> !! The Tv Tower !!

So, you've reached the Infamous TV Tower Scene of Golgo-13 Top Secret Episode.

Hey, who the hell are all those people ? In the helicopter ?

If you press start now, you will be looking through the cross-hairs of the M66
that Cherry Grace placed in the helicopter for you. Aww isn't she so sweet.

                                  wicked.

>From here you can move down and you will see the Tv Tower from far away. You
can't even see your target from here. You don't want to just fly up on him,
he might spook... so you have to circle around the tower and get closer while
you are around the other side, then when you get back around to this side
again you'll be able to hit him before he realizes there is a huge helicopter
outside the window. Don't forget that his attention is focused intently on his
target and your scope allows you to be perhaps a mile away without being seen.

Whatever the case, if you hold RIGHT or LEFT on the control pad now, you'll
move the crosshairs off the small view of the tower and then they will come to
rest again on a larger view of the tower. When you have the larger tower in
your hairs, move up (or down, if you are looking at the antenna) until you see
a couple of windows. In the left window there should be a small black dot :
That's him. Press B when the crosshairs are on him.

Now you've got him. You can't back out, you can't move the crosshairs, the
only thing you can do is fire. So hit A already : you have to breath sometime
soon !

                          GOLGO-13, IN SCUBA GEAR,
                          SEARCHES FOR THE HIDEOUT.

Act 3 : River of No Return
(question: where did act 2 go ?)

Okay, now you're in a swimming level. Your first in this game. As you might
notice rather quickly, you're floating now and... you're black now.

No, no, I'm just kidding. That's actually a neoprene diving suit you're
wearing. And that white thing on your back is actually an oxygen tank hooked
up to your face mask. That's what SCUBA gear is.

Anyways, you're supposed to locate some place now, and it's pretty deep in
the water. Nobody's been to clear on where it is you're headed, but you'll
know it when you find it.

Let's look at a crude map of this water level now. In these maps of swimming
or hideout-action levels, P!# is a location where you hit a __Pow!__ Session.
The number still checks against a number in the __Pow!__ Session lists.
"*" is a floating mine, and #?^ is an entry-point info, which you can
reference with the entry-point information in the map of the underground
maze. #A^ corresponds with #A- in the maze map. #C^ corresponds with #C- in
the maze map, etc.

Spree River (Basement):
B
1|~~~~~~~~~*~~~*~~~~~Pow!6~~~|#A^|~~~~~~~~
|________________   _____   ____|____
2    |       Pow!5    *   *      |#C^|
    |____   _________   _____   ____|___
3    |       |#1 |       Pow!7     * |#3 |
    |___________|_______________________|

In the first depth of the level, where the surface of the water is above
you, the only things you have to worry about are divers, poisonous anemones,
and floating mines. Just shoot the divers, avoid touching the anemones or
shoot them alot to get 10 life, as far as the mines go you'll have to swim
through the tiny spaces in between them. There are also missiles in a couple
of places but they are easy to dodge and don't seek you very well.

At the second depth of the level, there are sharks. These will take a few
shots to get rid of, but they ignore you for the most part. There are also
some very narrow passages riddled with the floating mines.

At the bottom of the level, there are some octupii. These take quite a many
shots to destroy, but they reward you with quite a bit of health and,
surprisingly, bullets. If they touch you, however, you can lose upwards of
70 health.

The entry-points in depths one and two will place you in a grey-colored maze
at the top of the underwater complex. This maze has little use to you; it
isn't connected with the main parts of the maze that you need to get into in
order to complete the act. You can skip it if you want.

The entry points on the third depth will put you into either the first or
the second level of some scrolling levels where you will fight against
laser-arrays, flight deck controllers, and little missiles.

Missiles, do whatever you can to them. They are fast, but they don't take up
enough life to worry you. Whatever they hit you for, you will earn back when
you destroy the laser arrays. An easy way to disarm these Missiles is to
wait until their flight converges on one point and then take them both out
with one bullet.

The laser arrays, don't take them head-on with a gun. They hit you for far
too much life to do that. Instead, stand right next to one (really!) and
use your jumpkick on it, jumping over it to the other side. The racks will
swing around to aim at you, but you will be one step ahead, jump kicking it
diagonally over to the other side yet again. Keep confusing it, and four
kicks will take it out.
Some of the laser arrays are located on top of platforms. The good thing
about platforms is if you hold down while pressing the jump button, you will
pass right through them and land on the surface below. When there are lasers
up on a platform, just hold down and press the jump button just long enough
for you to reach them with a kick. Kick them, don't let go of the down
button, and you will land safely underneath the platform.
Finally there are the lasers set underneath a platform, and these are tough
to kill. You can use the confusion method, by jumping and dropping on the
far side of the laser and kicking it, jumping back over, and repeating. This
should be good enough to fry its circuits.
Lasers give 80 Life , 40 Bullets

The flight deck controllers are sort of tough, they will take four hits
from your gun (or your leg) just like the laser racks. However, they will
moves slowly up and down out of your reach. Even worse, they will fire tiny
exploding paper airplanes at your whether you can reach them or not. Be
patient, use both your gun and your kick to knock them down. Either jump
over the swirling paper airplanes, or shoot them.

If you see a black hole (_NOT_ a water-filled hole) in these levels against
a dead end, jump down it to go to the next level down. At the end of the
levels there will be a doorway. Press up through the doorway to enter one of
the entry points to the underground maze.

Here is the map of these side-scrolling levels. "L" is a laser array, "M" is
a point with Missiles, "F" is a flight deck controller. "w" is a pit of
water (which will kill you), "v" is the location of the pit to the next
floor down. "D" is the door. "_" is either the platform or the floor. "^" is
the way to get back out to the water level.

Before you enter the maze, however, you'll go through a little dialogue.

I don't know what he's blabbing about, these underground mazes are
completely safe. When you arrive in the dungeon, you will be in a 1st-person
perspective view of your surroundings. Pretty cool! Those three little green
things in the lower left hand corner are your grenades. When you are up
against a trap wall, you can throw a grenade using the (A) button. This will
deplete your grenade supply, but you always get a grenade back when you kill
an opponent.

Sometimes you will see somebody else on the screen. That's no good! So press
your A button to put your crosshairs on the screen, tap the control pad in
the direction of the invader, and press A again to blow their chest out.
If you get this down fast enough, you will always be able to kill your
opponent before they strike. Down here in the mazes, most opponents grant
you a pretty sizeable reward in health and bullets. If you find somebody who
you can kill pretty easily, and want to fill up, use this method.
Kill them once, them push forward (moving one space forward), then back
(turning you completely around), then forward (moving you back where you
were before you pushed forward the first time), then back again (turning you
completely around again). You will be back on the space you stood on when
you killed the opponent the first time, and they will be back again.
The rule is that when you kill an opponent, you have to travel one square
in any direction before they will come back again. If you must not step on
the location occupied by the opponent, then you can push
back-forward-back-forward to get the same effect.

Now you begin the second swimming scene of the game. There isn't a huge
labrynth or anything to this one, it's just a straight left-to-right swim.
The frogmen are vicious, they come at you in groups of three and sometimes
from both sides of the screen. There are lots of missiles around, as well.
The __Pow!__ scene shouldn't cause you too much difficulty. After some time,
you will find yourself being shot at by a large metal thing in the water.
This is the Water Tank that girl was talking about. You want to swim high to
avoid the bullets and then drop down to the seabed and head left towards the
tank's front. Swim up a little, and touch your head against the blue
windshield to enter the tank.

                            Act 5 : Spartacus

After entering this tank, you will find yourself in another hot-action
scroll sequence. This one is more full of enemies, the same as before, but
now there are also a couple of Agents, "A" on the map below. Use the same
techniques as before and keep on your toes. The enemies are everywhere.
The one "v" on this map represents the exit, but this time it's not all
straight beginning to end. You will have to enter from the tank hatch on the
far right side (a ladder in the ground), and then climb down the ladder on
the left side. After the dialogue, head back to the right through this level
to get bank out to water. Once out, head right until you hit the edge of the
screen to leave the swimming scene. The "^" is still the way back to the
water.

Now you will enter a Maze-style battle (first person perspective) with the
monster. He has a heavy-duty auto-firing weapon, and he will take MANY shots
to kill. Not only that, but he can jump up and land behind you. You will
have to press DOWN to turn around. Walk down the purple hallway and meet him
about halfway along. While he fires at you, press A, Control Pad to Aim,
then A again over and over again. You should get about 5 or 6 hits in each
time you fire at him. I didn't bother to count, but there are about 15 or so
times you must hit him like this. If he jumps up and lands behind you, he
WILL fire at your back! So press DOWN to turn around quickly and face him
again. You'll know he's dead when his heart flies out of his back.
Face out through the passageway to exit the Theater. Somebody is waiting for

After talking with Oz Windham, you will enter the second flying stage of the

\inside the copter a bomb has been set ...\
as the bomb is about to go off
g-13 leaps from the copter...\

After the bomb blows up your copter, you will find yourself in the third
swimming level of the game.

This swimming level features huge groups of 6 frogmen at a time, and they
are very fast. They will zoom right by you, not bothering to stop and ask
for directions. There are sharks in the first and third depths, and these
are also fast and rather intelligent. They track you much more easily than
the previous sharks did. Also, there are more Octopii which are fast and
deadly as ever, taking away 80 of your life with a touch. These Octopii,
luckily, are only on the second depth. The only way through this is at the
bottom of the sea, and you will have to go through most of each level,
through all three of the _Pow!_ sessions, and around most of the mines to
get through this level.

And also watch out for the missiles (oops) which will fly at you in clusters
of 4 at a time.

***************************** WHAT THE HECK ********************************

Well, to tell you the truth, I just wanted to get this
Walkthrough off my hard-drive so I could conscenciously
object to being obligated to writing ONLY on it, and I
could get to some other Walkthroughs for awhile. This one
is probably my most detailed to date, but is not my most
complete by far. There are an entire 2 maps missing, and
the descriptions for an entire level of fighting, walking,
and dialogues. Not only that, but without using a game-
genie code, I haven't come up with a reliable way of
beating the last boss every time. So, I am gonna give up
on writing more into this walkthrough for now. But, I
don't want you totally in the dark ! That's why I have
release all the work I got done on the Golgo 13 file so
far. You can be sure to get whatever I have provided here
and use it to get through most of the game.

           I know that's sort of cheap, but don't worry -- e-mail
me at any of my e-mail locations :

           eyenot @ lunarsurf.com

           eyenot @ cyberspace.org

... and ask me to add whatever details you want added to
that walkthrough, and I will add it later on. If enough
people ask for something to be taken out (say, the annoying
illustrations of the faces, or the senseless humor....)
then I will take crap out, too.

Anyways, keep it rolling in. If I don't get a response, I
just assume that nobody has seen it and/or read it, and
that nobody cares. In which case, I may end up never
           finishing the walkthrough. :(

One thing : Don't ask me for permission to put this text on
your site ! This walkthrough is going one place, and one
place only, and that is GameFAQs.Com . Oh yeah. There is one
exception I make for Al Almaloo's Site, since he always asks
so nicely. Al, if you want this Walkthrough, you have
permission to download it to your site after the date of
9-1-2000 has passed. All others : You may not put this game
guide / walkthrough on your site, plain and simple. I will
not be giving you permission to do so.

Phew. Too Many. What else do I have to say ...

Hmm. Oh yeah. I finished a new version of the Bionic Commando
Walkthrough, thinking about releasing it ! It's larger, but
cleaner. Easier to read and print out !

           Uhm. What else ...

So yeah ! get back to me, s--- , haven't heard from you in
           like forever. Cya !

_Pow_!__Sessions :

1: 4 Guys

Guys: Guys kind of suck. They are highly acrobatic, flying through the air
10 B       with the greatest of ease. They also flip and roll along the ground
25 L       and when they're on the ground they will shoot at you. If they are
up then they hold their gun at you in thier outstretched arms. If
they are down then they lay on their backs and hold the gun at you
in between their outstretched legs. Isn't that funny ? They award
you with about 10 bullets and 25 life. You can hit them at any time
they are always vulnerable if you can only find the point.

2: 2 Helicopters and 3 Guys

Helicopters: Take 2 hits to destroy and shoot at you with missiles.
5  B       Helicopters will swing at you from the top of the screen, and you
10 L       will lose life when they appear (machine gun). They will stay for
about 1-2 seconds and then try to swing back up into the air. You
can hit them when they are stationary or when they are 1 'click'
away from you, but they are only 1 click away for about half a sec.
You can hit them just about anywhere on the body but hitting them
on the lower-left side of the main body is the best spot. It does
not always appear to even hit them, but it's evidently their most
          vulnerable point.

3: 2 Airplanes and 2 Helicopters

Airplanes: Take 2 hits to destroy and shoot at you with missiles. They reward
5 B        you with only a few bullets but about 25 life.
25 L       Airplanes will sweep at you, screeching, from the background and
you will be able to hit them once they are 2 'click's close to you.
After about 4 or 5 clicks they disappear 'behind you' and you will
have to seek them out again. You can hit them just about anywhere.

4: 2 Helicopters and 4 Guys

5: 6 SCUBA Divers

Scuba Divers: These will emerge from the depths towards you, holding a
10 B       missile cannon. The missiles will do some decent damage,
50 L       around 40 health or so. If you hit the divers in the right
spot, you can take them out with just one shot. Sometimes
you will have to hit them 2 times to get rid of them.

6: 5 SCUBA Divers

7: 8 SCUBA Divers

greece POW's

8: 4 Helicopters, 2 Guys

9: 4 Helicopters, 3 Guys

A: 3 Airplanes, 2 Helicopters, and 1 Submarine

B: 3 Airplanes, 2 Helicopters, and 1 Submarine , and a [ ?! ] Box

C: 2 Deep Subs, 6 Divers

D: 1 Deep Sub, 8 Divers

E: 1 Deep Sub, 6 Divers

Submarines: These will of course submerge and re-emerge elsewhere through
the water. You will have to hit them around five times to get
them to give up the ship.

Deep Subs: Underwater, the submarine will track you down and fire torpedos
at you. They only take two hits to kill, and are mostly like
helicopters. They aren't nearly as fast, though.

                                     MAPS
( of course , these are also unfinished )

Map Legend:

These Maps use a specific system designed by me, Eyenot,
to describe to your the various Locations for this game.
You will have to know something about using this system
in order to understand and use it correctly and without
confusion. If you are confused in the midst of battle,
what happens ? You are Killed. You are not here to be
Killed, you are here to complete a Mission.
You will need to know what Level Marks mean. You will
need to know what the Location Anatomy is. You will need
to know about the Enemy. Then you will be able to use the
                Maps.

Level Marks:

Color of Level walls is followed by Level Ground Number.
                Example:   Blue , B#.       Red and Purple , F#.
"B" signifies a Basement at # of Levels down from surface,
"F" signifies a Floor at # of Levels above surface.
                B3 is lower than B1 or F3.
                F3 is higher than B1 or B3.
Floor Blue , B2 is no higher than Floor Purple , B2.
However, these are not the same two Levels.
Floor Blue and Purple , B1 is higher than Dark Blue , B3.
Though these are two differently colored Levels and though
they are on different Ground Numbers, they are both part
                of the same Map.

                                 |_E_|           |_D_|

A Wall is self-explanatory. You cannot pass through these
even if you are an invincible warrior of doom. The only
way to deal with a Wall is to negotiate it as an obstacle,
                which means go around it.
In some Walls there are Doors. Doors are used as passages
through Walls. Some Doors are Locked.
Locked Doors require the Key Object to pass through. If you
do not have the required Key, you will not be able to pass
through the door. Often times, you must approach a door and
apply some force to it in order to open it.
Grenade Barriers will fall in your way from the ceiling.
These are called Grenade Barriers because the only way to
get through them is by applying a Grenade to their surface.
This means throw a Grenade at the Barrier. A Hole will be
made and you will be able to pass through. If you leave a
Grenade Barrier out of your line of sight, it will probably
be re-set and you will have wasted a Grenade.
Laser Barriers are invisible X-Rays of a lethally high
level and are shot through a passage onto the floor by
overhead X-Ray projectors. Walking into one a Laser Barrier
will cause you significant damage for every fraction of a
second you spend under the X-Rays. You will need the Object
of Infrared Glasses in order to see these Laser Barriers in
action. When you can do this, you will notice that every
few seconds the Barrier shuts down long enough for you to
quickly make your way through it. I know that Lasers, X-Ray
and Infrared are not on the same metaphoric planet in terms
of wavelength of radiation. This is not important.
When there is no Wall, Barrier, or Door as a Divider for
a Location, a Spacial Divider will be used. This Spacial
Divider is represented by a Period "." and means nothing
else besides "This is the division of the Map Location".
The Spacial Divider is always location in the lower-right
or SouthEast corner of the Map Location Info.
                Example:    _______
                Location 3 |       | Location 1
                           |   .  .|
                Location ? |       | Location 2
                           |___.___|
How many Locations are in the illustration above ? 4 .
Location 2 does not need a Spacial Divider because it has
an Eastern Wall, and a Southern Wall. Location 1 needs a
Spacial Divider because it has no Soutern Wall. Location 3
needs a Spacial Divider because it has no Southern wall or
Eastern Wall. Location ? 4 needs a Spacial Divider because
                it has no Eastern Wall.
Other Dividers besides Walls also cancel the need for a
                Spacial Divider.
                Example:    _______
                Location 3 |       | Location 1
                           |%%%.   |___
                Location 4 |       o   | Location 2
                           |___.___o___|
                                Location ?
How many Location are in the illustration above ? 5 .
Location 3 needs a Spacial Divider because it has no
Eastern Wall. Location 4 needs a Spacial Divider because it
has no Eastern Wall. Location ? 5 needs no Spacial Divider
because the Eastern Divider is a Laser Barrier.
Note. Sometimes I Misspell things and leave them that way.
                Example:
"Spacial" is correctly spelled "Spatial", but for no reason
that means anything to me. "Spacial" is a word related to
the word "Space" and that is what its use is pertinent to
in this document as well as in many others. "Space" has no
letter "t" in it, and neither does my spelling of the word
                "Spacial".
Exits are the way out of a Map. In some cases you will need
to have obtained an Object in order to pass through these
Exits, and without having reached this Objective you will
                not be permitted to leave.
Dialogues are doorways that lead you into Dialogue scenes.
Refer to the section on Dialogues.

Information:
Information about the contents of each Location is always
stored in the spaces within the dividers. Sometimes the
South-Eastern Spacial Divider will appear in Information,
but it will not ever interfere with the Information.
Objects, Entries, and Enemies in their Placements will
always appear in Information if they are in Location.

Objects:  <S>  = Starting Location for the Map
[+]  = First Aid Bottle, regains your Health
!!!  = Ammunition Case, regains your Ammunition
RED  = Infrared Goggles, for seeing Laser Barriers
Key  = Key, needed to pass Locked Doors
/_/  = File, needed to pass through a certain Exit
M16  = Custom M-16, key plot element and weapon

Entries:  #A^  = Ladder, followed by alphanumeric identifier, followed by
navigation identifier. ^ is up, v is down, which means that
a location marked #A^ will take you up one Level to the
point on the map for that Level marked #Av. A location
marked #Bv will take you down one Level to the point on the
map for that Level marked #B^.
A + or a - on the Ladder navigation identifier means that
this Ladder is meant to transport you from the map into
some other part of the area. A location marked #A+ will
take you up and out of the map. A location marked #B- will
take you down and out of the map.
*a*  = Pit Trap, surrounding alphanumeric identifier. A Pit Trap
always forces you down one Level lower. You will not be
able to get up through the ceiling back to this Location
after you have fallen. You must find some other way to get
back up to the Level above, if necessary. A Pit Trap will
always land you at the same Location of the Level below,
which is marked as a Pit Trap Fall Spot.
         (a)  = Pit Trap Fall Spot, surrounding alphanumeric identifier.
If you fall through a Pit Trap Location marked *a*, then
you will fall and land on the Level below you in the one
                Location marked (a).

Enemies:   A   = One-Letter Enemy Identifier. Refer to the table below for
descriptions of the enemy including Health and Ammo reward.
Placement: Depending on location of Enemy Identifier, Enemy is
expected to appear when you face the Location from a
                specific direction.       ___  N = North  E = East
                                         | NE| S = South  W = West
                                         |WS_|
The West and South positions occupy the same space as the
Southern Divider for the Location. A Location on the Map
that looks like this:     ___  % = Grenade Wall
                                         | AA|
                                         |AA%|
Has an Enemy in every direction and this location also has
a Grenade Wall as a Souther Divider.
It is very unlikely that an Enemy will ever appear in the
same room as an Object. If this ever happens, it will not
interfere with other Location Info but it may obscure the
                information somewhat.
                Example 1:  ___
                Location 1 |   |
                           |_A_|___
                Location 2 | A |   | Location 3
                           |___|___|
If you walk into Location 2 and face North towards Location
1, the Enemy identified as "A" will appear in Location 1,
one space ahead of you. If you were to enter Location 1
and then turn around to face Location 2, Enemy "A" will
                appear before you as well.
However, if you walk into Location 3 and face West toward
Location 2, no enemy will appear.
                Example 2:  ___
                Location 1 | A |
                           |___|___
                Location 2 |  A|   | Location 3
                           |_A_|___|
                           |   |
                Location 4 |___|
If you walk into Location 4 and face North towards Location
2, Enemy "A" will appear. If you walk into location 3 and
face West, Enemy "A" will appear. If you walk into Location
2 and face North, no enemy will appear.
After you kill an Enemy, you will be rewarded an amount of
Health (Life) and Ammunition (Bullets). The Enemy will not
return to their location until you have traveled to another
Location, including their own. Approaching a door is
considering travelling to another location in this case.
Table: The following table lists first the Enemy Identifier (EID),
then the Health Reward for killing the Enemy (Hr), then the
Ammunition Reward for killing the Enemy (Ar). Followed by
this information will be first the name of the Enemy, then
a description of the Enemy. To the left of this information
is a marker "*" that signifies that this Enemy will never
                leave you a grenade.
(NG)(ID)(Hr)(Ar)(Name and Description)
    A   5   4   Machine Gun Soldier
these soldiers will fire at you in long bursts and
then pause to reload. they will not change position.
    B   10  0   Officer
she will throw a grenade which causes 30 damage,
and then she will change position.
 *  F   20  5   Agent Samurai
he will wait only a split second before leaping and
attacking you with his sword. this attack will take 30
health from you. he will then be behind you, and will
                continue to attack you.
