001-General Information
-----------------------------------------------------------
This is a walkthrough for the Nintendo Entertainment System
(NES) game called Frankenstein. It doesn't seem to be based
the book, but I haven't read the book so I don't know. You
can reach me at
[email protected], but make the
subject blank if you do. If you want to use part of this
guide for something, it'd be nice to ask first.
002-Story
-----------------------------------------------------------
(As seen in the opening scene)
Lightening strikes a house a few times. Frankenstein
appears, hidden in shadow and looking really cool. Also,
some small rocks are floating in the air due to his energy
waves (just like DBZ). He then ominously says, "The sleeping
villagers think they are living in peace, but all too soon,
they will learn the terrible truth...Frankenstein has risen
from the grave!"
The villagers awaken in horror as the resurrected Frankenstein
lays waste to the neighboring village (You see Frankenstein
totally destroying the town). Frankenstein, obviously in a
randy mood, kidnaps a good looking girl and runs off with her.
As he's running away with the girl, he yells, "I will take
this girl for my own! Ha. . ha. . ha. !" Emily, the girl
who Frankenstein is taking screams, "Help me!"
Your character says, "Frankenstein has taken our beloved
Emily!"
Obviously, you're going after Frankenstein to rescue the girl
(who knows WHAT he'll do with her), and to get revenge for
his destroying a city.
003-Characters
-----------------------------------------------------------
Frankenstein: He's the evil bad guy behind all this. Half
of the time, he's a cool bad ass who rules. The other half
of the time, he's running away from you, which sort of
destroys the bad guy reputation.
You: You're a dude who lives in a village. Frankenstein's
been bugging the village, so you're off to get him for it.
I also refer to you as Victor, since that's what I called
him.
Emily: A girl who Frankenstein captured. Now what would
Frankenstein want with a pretty young girl? Hmmmm...
Warthogs: Purple things that just run at you.
Troll: Big stupid creatures. Kill one to get a club, and
another for a cool club upgrade!
Pink warthog: Your first boss. Easy fight, but way too long.
Fly: A nasty flying enemy.
The blob: A pink blob that mutates into human form to attack
you, then goes back into its invulnerable blob state. Attack
it when it's in its blob form.
Bone fish: A fish swimming in sewage.
Jumping blues: Blue jumping things.
Water dragon: A boss.
Death: A standard grim reaper guy.
Death's wrath: A nasty creature that attacks you once you've
beaten death.
Demon Horse: The big boss of stage one.
Black death: A lame bad guy, but if it grabs onto you, it
won't let go until you're dead.
He beast: A beast of the forest.
Thing: Just some weird thing.
Blademaster: A swordsman who lies mortally wounded.
Nuts: Not what you think, you sick pervert. It's the acorn
kind of nut.
She beast: Another beast of the forest.
Sea creature: A nasty monster that should be avoided.
Bee: A nasty bee.
Medusa: The famous Greek Gorgon.
Medusa's Wrath: The creature you fight after Medusa.
Gravestone: This thing hops around and can crush you. You
can stand on it to cover distance without moving.
Gorgodons: Flying demon things.
Green Gorgodon: A boss gorgodon.
Statue: A really nasty bad guy. Jeez, they're hard.
Gatekeeper: The gatekeeper guards the gate. You must destroy
him to continue on your quest.
Dark Warrior: A big nasty guy who cannot be seen fighting
the likes of you. You'll have to teach him a lesson.
Evil Tree: An evil tree that attacks you.
Snake head: Flying snake skulls.
Aliens: A wacky alien boss.
Manwolf: A boss who appears to be 50% man and 50% wolf.
Go figure.
Pargi: A green ball that floats around.
Amanti: An evil centipede.
Pargoth: A pargi-like boss.
Vampire: A popular video game bad guy. He can turn into a
bad, and is hard to kill.
Headless statue: A headless statue that somehow can attack
though it can't see you.
Frankenstein's Wrath: After killing Frankie, he mutates
into this more powerful form, sort of like Medusa and
Death did. Is this the inspiration for Majora's Wrath in
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask game? Could be...
004-Walkthrough
-----------------------------------------------------------
004a-Stage One
-----------------------------------------------------------
Start the game. You get to input a name that's six letters
long. You can put in a bad word, but it's not that funny
while you're playing the game. I named him Victor, so that's
what I'll refer to him as most of the time. Oh, and I'll
also call Frankenstein Frank or Frankie since Frankenstein
is a long name.
You see the opening scene, which I described in the story
section. Press any button to skip it. After it's done,
you see the start stage one screen. You start up in the
village in that picture there.
Press A to jump and B to punch. That's about all you can
do right now. Walk right.
A warthog runs at you. Jump to avoid it (you can duck and
hit it, but there's really no point in killing the warthog).
As you go farther right, more warthogs come, just keep jumping
over them.
You'll meet a troll. Punch it twice to kill it. Don't worry
if a stray warthog hits you now. When it's dead, it'll keel
over and drop a club. Stand over the club and press down
(do this fast) to pick it up. Jump and get the heart that
leaves the troll's corpse (refills your energy).
Now you've got a weapon, so everything should just look out
for you! Actually, no. Go right (you can now kill the
warthogs if you'd like).
You meet another troll. Kill it in two hits. It drops a
club, but more importantly, a weird magical ball. Pick up
the ball to endow your club with cool magical powers.
Okay, now everything should try to keep out of your way.
Go right, ready for butt kicking. Attack the trolls/warthogs
that attack you (your magical powers allow you to attack
them from far off).
You'll meet the boss, the pink warthog. It's a normal warthog,
but pink and lives longer.
Don't worry about this boss, it's easy. Duck in the middle
of the screen, and attack the warthog from far off. It
first comes at you from the right, then the left, then the
right, then the left, and lastly the right. Since you know
its attack pattern, you can attack each of those five times
to kill it.
When the warthog dies, it leaves a potion. Pick it up to
increase your life. Now go right to anther part of the
village.
Go right. Try to keep moving, as a fly attacks you if you
stand still too long. You'll see a stone archway, but
blocking your way is a blob.
That pink thing mutates into human form. Kill it from a
distance while it's human. Two hits kills it. Then press
up and go through the open stone door.
Okay, I know this sounds dumb, but go left to exit this
place. Go right and enter the next stone door (it'll make
sense in a bit, trust me).
You're in a sewer. Bone fish are in the sewage (they can't
hurt you, so don't worry), and jumping blues attack at
the top. Duck and attack them as soon as you see them.
Not too tough.
So go right, and you'll meet another boss, the water dragon.
He pops out of the sewage and says, "Ha...ha...ha...I don't know
where you are from boy, but if you want the treasure chest,
you must defeat me."
Fight time. The water dragon will shoot fireballs at you,
so once it's done talking, the first thing to do is jump.
Seriously, jump the second he's done or risk being hit in a
surprise attack.
The water dragon shoots fireballs a lot. Do simple jumping
to avoid them. Attack him with a duck move whenever he's
high enough for you to reach him. A good idea is to shoot
when he's near that area, but you can wait until he's
certainly in that area if you want.
After a few hits, the water dragon dies. You can now get a
chest. Go to the chest, and press down to open it. You
get more life! A life thing appears in the lower right hand
corner, press select to use it and refill your life. Don't
do that now, though, you want to save it for later.
Go back left and exit this area. Go left and through the
stone doorway. Now go right to the treasure chest (don't
jump) and duck to open it. You get your life meter refilled.
Exit this building and go right. Walk right through all
those enemies, and enter the first non-stone doorway you
see. It's some sort of library. Talk to the village elder
there.
Village elder: Young lad, listen to my desperate plea!
Victor: What is it?
Village elder: Frankenstein has destroyed our village and
taken my beautiful Emily! Please find him and bring her
back! Here, take this potion.
Victor: Wha. . what, me?
Village Elder: You are our only hope. Good luck!
Get the chest the elder gives you. You get another of those
handy life refills at the right hand corner. Exit the
building, and go a bit right to meet a boss, death.
Death is a grim reaper. You can't kill him (duh, he's
death), but you can still take him down. Death will appear,
and disappear randomly. Before he appears, a place starts
shimmering. Use that to tell where death will be and then
attack him. Five hits stops death.
Once you've given death the final blow, he goes away. He
chucks his big scythe at you (easy to avoid). Death's
wrath, a weird flying monster will come in.
Quickly make a dodge to either the left or the right when
death is gone to avoid the wrath's initial attack. If it
touches you, it chucks you a long way left, and you'll have
to come back and fight death again. Death's wrath dies in
one hit.
When the wrath is gone, go right. The screen shakes. Victor
falls down a big hole. He ends up in a battlefield plain
with a demon horse flying overhead. The demon horse says,
"What's this? I've been waiting for a worthy opponent all
these years only to face a mere mortal? I am the great demon
horse! You'd better run away while you still can."
Oh yeah, like Victor's going to just run away. It's time to
start this fight against Mr. Big Ego (apologies to Jim
Infantino).
The demon horse will fly to the left (out of reach), but
you can reach him with a jump attack as he goes right. Use
the magic powers bestowed upon your club to get him a few
times. When you hit him, he freezes in place for a bit.
Well, he'll get to the right side of the screen, so sneak
left past him during one of the periods when he's stunned.
From the left part of the screen, just constantly attack.
When he's getting close, slip past him when he's stunned and
do the same thing as he heads right. Around then, he dies.
Demon horse: Curses! Beaten by a mere mortal!
Victor: Now tell me where Frankenstein has taken Emily.
(Victor scans the landscape and spots Frankenstein) Ah!
Frankenstein: If you have to use all of your powers to defeat
even the weakest enemies, you will not catch me.
Victor: Frankenstein!
Frankenstein: You do seem to have some spirit, even though
you're just a human. Ha ha ha!
Victor: Wait, where are you? Where did you go? (Frankenstein
runs for it)
You acquire a sword, and follow Frankenstein into a forest.
You lose him inside the forest and he manages to get way
ahead of you. But the good news is you get a password so
you don't have to do any of that stuff again.
004b-Stage Two
-----------------------------------------------------------
Woo hoo, stage two!
Walk right and be ready to fight. Don't jump, stay on the
ground. A black death will come around. Give it your all,
and when it dies, it leaves a ball. Pick up the ball (it's
not trouble at all), and get a magic power for your sword.
Now that I'm done with that strangely rhyming paragraph,
here's a less strange explanation. Go right without jumping,
and hit the black death that attacks. It'll drop a ball
that gives your sword magical powers.
Go right, and black deaths attack along the way. Look out
for these; though they're easy to kill, they kill you if they
get too close. Jump from branch to branch, as you'll reach
the first boss of this stage, He-man. He-man attacks from
the ground, so it's best not to be there.
Be on the tree on the right, on the lower branch (just above
the ground). He-man moves slow. He'll move left and right.
Once he is left of the branch you're on (make sure he's
facing left), press down plus A to fall to the ground.
Quickly press B, and then press A to jump to the branch.
Repeat this until he-man dies.
Go right here (some black deaths attack) into another part
of the forest.
While on the ground, go right. Some thing attacks you, just
attack it from afar a couple of times to finish it off.
When it dies, it leaves you a new weapon. Pick it up.
Keep going right. Kill the black death that attacks from
the left, and the thing that attacks from the right. From
here, go right while destroying the enemies, but be on the
tree branches (you avoid a surprise attack).
You'll reach a weird kind of wall. Press up to climb up it,
and you'll reach a big hill that overlooks some area. On
the hill is a blademaster, who cannot move due to his wounds.
Blademaster: Who goes there? A human?
Victor: What happened to you?
Blademaster: I, the great blademaster, have been mortally
wounded in battle with the demon horse. Are you also
pursuing Frankenstein? If that's your mission, I'll give
you this secret potion. This should help.
A treasure box appears. Open it for a potion. It increases
your life meter. Walk right past the blademaster (as Victor
passes, the blademaster asks if he has seen the dread he-beast
and she-beast of the forest), and fall off the cliff. You
land in more forest.
When on the ground, walk right and don't stop. This way you
avoid four nuts. And you run into the dreaded she-beast
and he-beast.
Get on the higher branch of the tree on the left. Face
right and just keep pressing B to attack the she-beast (thanks
to your magical powers). Keep attacking and she dies. The
he-beast clutches his forehead and then speaks.
The he-beast speaks of how you've freed the forest from
Frankenstein's evil curse and then gives you one of those
cool life things for the corner. Maybe something different
happens if you kill the he-beast and not the she-beast, I
don't know. If someone knows, could you tell me?
Go right to another part of the forest. See the canoes on
the river? Jump to the first one, and off it to the second
one. Jump off the second one to normal ground. If you mess
up once, a hand pops out of the river and drags you down.
Then you get in a hard battle with a sea creature. Don't
mess up.
A bee (sort of an upgraded fly) attacks you. Go right, and
go across another of those river things. If you go right,
you meet the boss of this stage, Medusa.
Everyone knows about Medusa, right? Well, since I consider
myself a big Greek buff (I wrote a guide to the game Athena),
you can check out the section I added on Greek mythology.
Once upon a time there was a dude named Perseus. He was
ordered to kill the Gorgon Medusa. There were three Gorgons,
and each of them had snakes for hair. If they looked at you,
you turned to stone, and for some reason Medusa was more
dangerous than the other two.
So Perseus was setting out to kill her, and no duh he's
having some trouble. Now Athena, the goddess of wisdom
liked smart dudes like Perseus and Odysseus, so she helped
him out.
Athena told him something about Pegasus (the flying horse)
and the fates. Perseus went to visit the fates. Now the
three fates were wise, but only had one eye and nose between
the three of them.
Perseus went to visit them to find out where Medusa was, but
the fates thought killing him would be easier. When one fate
passed the eye to another fate, Perseus stole the eye and
used it as blackmail to get them to reveal Medusa's location.
Perseus got to Medusa using Pegasus and killed her. Athena
took Medusa's head and put it on a shield. It's a cool shield,
as your enemies turn to stone by just looking at it. Perseus,
being a nice guy, returned the eye to the fates.
Perseus seemed he was on the way to become a god when he
screwed it by falling off Pegasus or something. I forget.
So, back to the game, you're fighting Medusa, a famous
evil monster. She has snakes for hair. This is gonna be a
tough fight.
Medusa says some dialogue which is supposed to freak you out,
but doesn't. She starts out with a snake body. She moves
left/right, and trips you if you come close. This is an easy
one. Attack with fire from a distance, and if she comes too
close, pass her by when she's stunned (that's the hardest
part).
Well, you'll kill her without a sweat and then you'll face
Medusa's wrath. It's the classic snake-haired Medusa. She
floats around in midair over you, too high to reach. At
times, she moves down, sticks out her snake tongue, and then
retreats.
You can attack her at these times. Jump and hit her with
the fire (that's the magic you have). So when she seems to
be going down, quickly dodge and attack her. It may take a
bit, but you can get used to it easily. Once you do, she's
toast.
When she's done, here's what happens.
Medusa: You are too strong for me. I am defeated.
Victor: Medusa, were you also being controlled by Frankenstein
like the tree monsters here?
Medusa: Yes, and now I'm free. You must find and defeat the
terrible Frankenstein before it's too late for all of us!
Victor: ............
Medusa: Boy! Destroy Frankenstein!
Frankenstein: Medusa, you were nothing but a weak snake
monster!
Emily: Victor!
Victor: Emily, are you alright? Come on Frankenstein!
Fight me!
Frankenstein: Ha ha ha! I'll crush you!
Emily: Save yourself! Don't worry about me!
Victor: I've come this far and I'm not giving up now! Where
is Frankenstein? No matter what it takes, I will save you.
Frankenstein: You don't have a chance.
Victor: Frankenstein, I'll put and end to you once and for
all!
Frankenstein: You are not strong enough to challenge me yet!
(Frankenstein runs away like a sissy AGAIN)
Victor: Wait! Emily!
004c-Stage Three
-----------------------------------------------------------
You appear to be near a big castle. You're not inside yet
though.
You're in the graveyard outside the castle. You can stand
on some graves, and others you can't. Go right and stand
still on the first grave you meet.
For some strange reason, the grave starts moving. By standing
on the right side of the grave, you can make it take you
right.
Once you get past the three gravestones that are right next
to each other, be careful. A gorgodon attacks you then. It
flies in, shoots lightening, and flies off.
Two hits kills a gorgodon. From here, you'll have to fight
your way right through several of them.
Past all of them, you'll reach the castle entrance. Here
you have to fight a green gorgodon. Good news is that he's
the last one in the game. Bad news is that he's tough to
beat.
He'll swoop down, shoot some lightening, and go back up. When
he swoops, run towards him (if he's going left, run right
past him; if he's going right, run left past him). Once
you're past him, do a quick turn around and attack him while
he's shooting lightening. Do this again and again until he
dies.
When he dies, a door opens. Enter the door and go right into
the castle.
Now you're in the castle. This whole next part is optional,
and kind of dangerous, so I decided to skip it. Just climb
up the stairs (use the up button) to enter the castle.
Get ready for some tough times. As soon as you walk in, hold
right and don't stop. You just avoid being hit by some
falling things. Remember, don't stop.
A statue jumps up and lands on the ground. Jump about when
he hits the floor (when I use about, I mean it's okay to jump
a short period before then and not a short period after).
He throws something at you, but it misses. When you hit the
ground, duck to avoid it when it comes back. Resume going
right.
When you reach the stairs, climb up. This can be hard if you
don't know how. Use the up button to go up, and then to go
up the stairs to your right.
Now here, go left. Two statues attack, so do what you did
with the first one and you soon outrun it. Past the second
statue, go left carefully. Some stuff falls down from the
ceiling, so do a quick dodge right when that happens and
continue left.
You meet a boss, the gatekeeper.
Gatekeeper: There are no stairs to the top. If you cannot
defeat me, you will never pass! Only a fool would dare
challenge me! Prepare to meet your doom!"
The gatekeeper is basically a floating skull. His hand floats
around also. You'll have to deal with the hand and the skull
separately.
The skull floats around and shoots stuff at you. Dodge a bit,
and then attack the two of them when they come near. The
skull recovers first, so try to get in an extra hit as soon
as it recovers. Then escape to the opposite side of the
screen.
The fight gets simple here. All you pretty much have to do
is survive. Just keep attacking them, and the hand disappears
after about five hits. The head soon follows and you have
defeated the gatekeeper.
When the gatekeeper dies, he leaves behind a treasure chest.
Open it for one of those life things. Now go right back into
the castle.
Hey, there's a staircase. Climb up it and you'll meet a
boss, Dark Warrior.
Dark Warrior: Welcome, Victor. You have fought well, but
to fight me, you must first defeat my servants. I cannot
bring shame to my creed. Prepare to meet your doom!
Boy, I'm getting bored of those people saying, "Prepare to
meet your doom!" However, I can understand that he can't
be seen fighting weaklings, so he has his cronies weed out
the weak from the strong. Guess you'll have to beat his
cronies.
There are four cronies, and you fight them one at a time
(when one dies, the next jumps in). Unfortunately, the
cronies are those statue things. Crap, this could be tough!
The first cronie jumps in. Jump over the thing he throws
when he lands, hit him, and duck as the thing comes back.
Do this again and again to kill him.
When he's dead, you meet another cronie. You'll have to do
the same thing for all for cronies until all of them are dead.
The Dark Warrior returns.
The Dark Warrior takes out his sword and the fight begins.
Here's the lowdown:
At times, the Dark Warrior raises his sword. When he does,
lightening strikes it. Wherever you're standing, the ground
will erupt in flame. So make sure to not be on the ground
(jump) when the Dark Warrior lifts his sword over his head.
Other than that, the Dark Warrior walks at you and starts
whacking at you. Since he has a big sword and heavy armor,
his movement is slow. You can hit him easily.
Once you hit him, he remains frozen in a pose (the pose is
with knees bent). He'll quickly disappear and reappear
somewhere else. If you're good, you can attack him soon
after he appears.
It's a long fight, but eventually he dies. Eventually.
Dark Warrior: Your strength is amazing! I am vanquished.
Victor: I've come this far and I'm not giving up now. Where
is Frankenstein?
Dark Warrior: He is not here! He is in the evil dimension!
Victor: Evil dimension?
Dark Warrior: It is the place where Frankenstein's most
powerful monsters dwell!
Victor: Tell me more.
Dark Warrior: The girl's life is in great danger.
Frankenstein has become almost invincible, but if you were
able to defeat me, you might have a chance against him. Take
this weapon and follow me. I'll take you to the evil
dimension.
004d-Stage Four
-----------------------------------------------------------
Well, Victor's got a sword and now is in the evil dimension.
Last stage here, now you'll soon fight Frankie.
Uh, nice scenery. Really nice.
Walk right. You'll walk into an evil tree. Stop to kill it.
It leaves a potion. Don't pick it up as the potion takes
away your life. Isn't that evil?
Continue right. You'll fight another evil tree. Go right
until you meet the boss. Snake skulls will attack you the
whole time, but their aim sucks. They shoot above themselves
when you are below them. It takes a minimal amount of
dodging to beat them.
Now you've got aliens for a boss. There are always two
onscreen at once. They float around and shoot stuff at you.
Their aim is good, you'll have to dodge a lot.
When you find the time, jump up and hit an alien. They don't
last long before they die. The only problem is that there's
a lot of them. However, it's not much of a challenge.
When you beat them, go right to face another boss, manwolf.
Manwolf: Hey, you have guts! Come on and fight me!
Well, at least he didn't say, "Prepare to meet your doom!"
First of all, press right, as he attacks right away (he
attacked me right away anyway). The manwolf moves left and
right, and occasionally pounces. That's it.
If he touches you, you get hurt. You'll want to hit him
when he's close. Once he's hurt, he freezes for a bit and
then comes back. He freezes for a very short amount of time.
If you want to pass by him when he's frozen, make it quick.
If you're lucky, you'll get by him easily. When the manwolf
dies, he turns into a naked man and disappears. Open the
treasure chest that appears for three way fire, a new magical
attack.
Walk right offscreen to get back to the area with a wacky
background. Move left here. A pargi flies above you. Use
the three-way fire to kill it. Pick up the potion it drops
for more life.
Continue left. Kill the amanti, but watch out for its attack
(it shoots to the right at ground level, so you have to jump
to avoid it).
From here, go left through some amanti and pargi to get to
a boss, pargoth.
Pargoth is basically an orange pargi. Just like the aliens,
there's only two onscreen at once and you have to kill all
of them to continue on with the game.
Try to hit them with three way fire while they're at the
top. When they start coming down, jump attack them and don't
wait for them to use their attack. It isn't that hard of a
fight. Easier than manwolf, anyway.
Go left and you'll meet another boss, a vampire. He smiles
an unnerving smile and says, "So you have defeated the manwolf.
I must not take you too lightly, or it could mean my doom.
But, know this: You have entered the dark world!" Somehow
I think he's amusing himself by saying this.
Honestly, if you still have three way fire, this is a piece
of cake. You just have to rapidly fire B to hurt him. If
he gets too close in bat form, relocate yourself.
Open the chest he leaves. You get a bomb! Cool! Sadly,
nothing ever becomes of this, and you never get to use it.
Go left. Now you're in a wacky place. You know what to do
here. Swing across the vines, Donkey Kong style. This is
hard only due to the poor controls.
Past it, you have to fight the headless statue. Simply get
close to the statue, but no close enough so it hits you.
Jump, and it attacks upwards. Now do it again, but sneak in
and hit it while it is attacking upwards, and then quickly
get out of range. About two hits kills it.
Go right some more. You'll face off against the dark warrior
AGAIN. Jeez. Absolutely nothing has changed except the
background. Oh, and he takes less time to kill.
When he dies, get the heart that appears. Go right to get
to another area, where you meet Frankie.
Frankenstein: I didn't think you'd make it this far. But now
your journey will come to a painful end. Come and meet your
fate!" I KNOW he wanted to say meet your doom.
Sheesh, he's easy to beat. Be as far left as you can, but
still facing right. Press B rapidly when Frankenstein comes
near and hope you hit him. After a long time, he dies. Yeah,
it'd take less time if you tried a different strategy, but
then you'd risk being hit.
A door opens when Frankie dies. Enter it and you meet Emily.
Emily: You made it! Where's Frankenstein?
Victor: I defeated him with my sword.
Emily (sadly): But if you don't use fire, he will never really
die. Use this.
(Victor acquires fire)
Frankenstein: Ha ha ha...you haven't seen anything yet. My
wrath awaits you!
Well, now you fire (the nice magic you used in the forest
where you send magical fire flying). The bad news is that
you have to face Frankenstein's Wrath.
Frankenstein's Wrath is naked (so that's why he stole Emily!
Just kidding...or am I?) He is genuflecting. He shoots stuff
at you from his mouth during the duration of this fight.
Frankie's hand flies off. Try to attack it while you dodge
the attacks. When it's gone, now you have to deal with
the rest of Frankenstein's body.
You have to attack his chest. Here's a hint: you can use
fire so you don't have to be too close to Frankenstein.
When you hit his chest, a piece of his flesh disappears.
You have to attack him again and again and AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Geez, it takes soooooo long!!! This is the ideal fight to
use your life things (in the lower right corner) for, as it
takes so @$#%-ing long.
It takes you a long time to get in a hit since you have to
dodge so much. Then, it takes you about twenty hits to finish
off his body (it probably takes less, but not a lot less).
Now Frankie's head will start flying around. He'll shoot
stuff. At times, he quickly goes down to your level, charges
you, and then quickly goes back up. Whenever you see him
duck down, attack in his direction and you'll most likely
hit him.
Do this again and again to finally kill the head. Poof!
The wrath of Frankenstein is no more!
Victor, you've made it to the dark zone, defeated the
evil Frankenstein, and saved the world from total destruction!
Way to go! Hope you like the ending.
By the way...
If you don't want to play through the whole game (fine by me)
then please scroll down. What you will find is the ending, so
don't scroll down unless you want to see it.
If you want to see the credits section but not the ending, just
check the credits section of one of my other FAQ's (they're all
the same).
Okay, here goes:
Woo hoo! Keep on scrolling!
Still more fun-filled scrolling!
You're on a scroll! Don't stop!
If you're reading this, you must want to know what the ending
is like. You must be a slacker. Cool. Then you should at
least have read the entire FAQ so you get a good idea of what
this game is like without actually playing it.
Frankenstein's head explodes just like how every other boss
exploded. Then his body explodes in a most cool, not seen
before way. Emily comes in and wraps her arms around Victor.
Emily: What can I say?
Victor: It is good that you are safe. We have endured much,
but I am glad that I could save you. (Hmmm...what does Victor
mean by that? What did Emily endure? And why was Frankie
nude in the area he kept Emily in?)
Emily: Victor!!
(The credits roll, and you get to see a bunch of the cool
graphics used in the cutscenes. If you care, here they are:
burning village, Frankenstein, Frankenstein holding Emily on
a plain, Medusa, the woods aflame, Frankenstein in the dark
zone, Emily, Emily hugging Victor with fireworks in the
background, and a really cool cutscene of Emily holding
Victor's arm as a landscape is revealed). The end.
