Fighting Road is a short and simple fighting game released for the Famicom in
Japan. It has seven stages where you fight an enemy for two rounds apiece
before going on to the next level. The unique aspect of this game is that you
have a wide variety of techniques and attacks at your disposal to use,
including a special fireball attack. The game is password-driven, and there
is an extremely helpful cheat code you can use to breeze through the game if
you so desire. In any event, Fighting Road is really not a bad game and may
be worth checking out.

==========
Post-Match
==========

After each match, you will be given a password (see the Secrets section). You
will also have an opportunity to boost the power of any of your techniques,
by way of a stat-boosting star system. You will be given a star which you can
apply to any technique (the maximum a technique can have is 3 stars). The
list of techniques can be found below. Choose wisely, since you only get this
chance six times in the entire game!

==========

                   then press B when landing (must be at a distance from
                   the enemy)

========
1st Ruin
========

The first opponent is a green-skinned man in a blue robe. He is a generic
fighter, sticking mainly to regular kicks with a few punches in there. If he
gets close enough, he may try to hit you with two kicks in a row. Other than
that, you have nothing to worry about here.

========
2nd Ruin
========

Your opponent here is a rather fierce woman fighter. She tends to overuse the
jump kick as well as the sweeping kick. Do not get too close to her since she
attacks quickly and multiple times in a row, giving you a real beatdown! The
best course of action would be to attack once with a kick, and then keep
away. If you can charge up your special gauge, it will come in handy, though
at the expense of your health!

========
3rd Ruin
========

For the third stage, you fight another generic man, similar to the first one.
The main difference is that he is a bit more aggressive, meaning that if you
get trapped in a corner, he will relentlessly pummel you with kicks! Other
than that, quite honestly it's just another simple fight to get through.

========
4th Ruin
========

You will meet a new opponent for the fourth stage: a man wearing shorts and a
bandana with no shirt. He likes to use a low jumping kick to start a combo,
during which he will pummel you with kicks and punches. It is useless to try
grabbing him, or even throwing punches; stick with kicks and lots of them to
succeed!

========
5th Ruin
========

Your fifth opponent is another apparent rehash, this time from the second
stage. This female enemy is basically the same as the first time you fought
her; she loves the jumping and sweeping kicks, and can really pummel you if
you get too close. Stick to the hit-and-run attack pattern, using kicks, and
you will be in good shape.

========
6th Ruin
========

This battle will pit you against the same guy from the 4th Ruin. Of course,
his attack pattern is exactly the same as the first time. Try not to get
cornered or you will find it difficult to get past this enemy. As with
before, he likes to use combo attacks involving jump kicks, so watch out.

========
7th Ruin
========

For the final ruin, your enemy is a clone of yourself! He moves quickly and
has the same exact moves that you have. He tends to favor the more advanced
techniques, like the spinning jump kick and the bounceback kick, so be
careful of that. Luckily, you only have to beat your clone in one round of
combat.

For the second round however, your clone transforms into a weird alien-like
monster. This creature attacks primarily by shooting green fireballs from its
mouth; they hurt quite a bit, so you will spend a lot of time dodging them.
It also has VERY high defense, so your regular attacks alone will take an
incredibly long time to end this battle. Your best bet is to make good use of
your special fireball ability when the gauge is flashing. If you can afford
to lose the health, you may want to get the gauge filled a second time to
unleash another special attack, killing the beast for good.

Once you defeat the final monster, the game will end. Congratulations!
