Fighting Hero is an unlicensed game released in Australia by the infamous
Mega Soft development house. This particular game is a 2D fighting game, and
it becomes quite clear why this is unlicensed. It is almost unplayable; the
hit detection is terrible, movement is extremely slow, making it nearly
impossible to actually win a fight as a result. You are missing nothing if
you choose to skip over this old game for many far better options on the NES.

in the next part).
2 Players: You go right to a fighting stage and can battle with a second
player.

General Information
===================
Starting Off
------------
When you first start the game, you will be in a room where you can pick from
four stages to play in. Your character is named Leon. The stages are Asia,
Australia, Africa, and Europe. Once you beat the first four, you will go on
to a final fifth stage: American. To select a stage, you will need to perform
a jump attack on the urn hanging below each stage name. Each opponent is
detailed below. There are up to three rounds in each battle; whoever wins two
rounds wins the whole match, with a third being a tiebreaker if needed.
Stages
------
Asia: You fight a purple ninja called Masa. He likes to attack with a big
stick of sorts, and throws stars as projectiles. He can also teleport
behind you, which you can see when he jumps in the air and fades away.
Australia: You fight a bald man named Vic. He is quick on his feet, and likes
to do flips to quickly move around the area. He focuses mainly on
punching and kicking to attack.
Africa: You fight a middle eastern man called Billy, with the pyramids as a
backdrop. He throws a boomerang as a projectile, which you can jump
over, but be prepared to duck when it comes back around. Billy also
attacks with a big stick and tends to lunge at you when jumping in
the air.
Europe: You fight a seemingly typical European man called Alex here. His
fighting style is the standard punching and kicking, though he uses a
low jumping attack to quickly move towards you. He likes to punch
using his forearms, it seems.
Once you manage to beat the first four stages, you will go on to a fifth and
final stage!
American: You fight an American boxer in this final stage. He is quick to
move and attack, as you would expect. He seems to really like
jumping and punching, so watch out.

Fighting
========
Of course, the main focus of the game is the fighting. There are a few
annoying tricks that you must keep in mind in order to (attempt to) succeed
in this game. The most crucial one is the jump attack. In order to perform a
jump attack, you must hold the attack button (A or B), then press Up to jump.
This is the only way to make a jump attack.
If you want to do a rolling jump, which covers more horizontal distance, you
can hold Left or Right while pressing Up to jump. Unfortunately, there is no
way to block attacks in this game, so you need to be very careful when
dealing with your opponents. You can crouch down by pressing Down, though.
While crouching, you can perform a low punch or a sweeping kick attack.
