1) RELEASE INFORMATION
=========================
Conflict was developed by Vic Tokai in 1989, for the Nintendo Entertainment
System. As it was released before the ESRB existed, Conflict is not rated.
=========================
2) GAME OVERVIEW
=========================
Conflict is a 1 to 2 player turn based military strategy game loosely based on
a NATO/Warsaw Pact conflict. Player 1 controls the blue team (NATO forces)
while Player 2 controls the red team (Warsaw Pact forces).
The game uses a top down view of the battlefield which is overlayed with a
hexagon grid. Each panel of the grid represents a different type of terrain
which affects your combat capabilities.
The objective of the game is to destroy your opponents Flag tank (an M1A1 for
the blue team and a T-80 for the red team), thereby forcing a surrender.
Players accomplish this by capturing cities and airbases, which generate fame
points, and expanding their military forces.

b- CITIES & AIRBASES
-----------------
i) Cities
- Every turn, you will receive 100 Fame Points for every city which belongs to
your side. (Cities which you own are shaded in your team colour: blue or red)
- To occupy a city, position a ground unit over the city tile and issue the
order SUPPLY.
- You can repair and replenish your ground units in occupied cities. To do
this, simply select SUPPLY as your units order, when it is in a city tile.
- Defend your cities. If an enemy unit spends a turn over one of your cities,
they will take pocession and diminish your Fame Points.
-----------------
ii) Airbases
- Every turn, you will receive 100 Fame Points for every airbase which belongs
to your side. (Airbases which you own are shaded in your team colour: blue or
red)
- To occupy an airbase, position a ground or air unit over the airbase tile
for the duration of one turn. Alternately, you can issue the order SUPPLY,
if you wish to use an air unit.
- You can repair and replenish your air units in occupied airbases. To do
this, simply select SUPPLY as your units order. when it is in an airbase
tile.
- Defend your airbases. They are crucial to air supremecy over the
battlefield. Without at least one airbase, your air units will not be
effective for long.
