Note, this game does not scale enemies when you are playing alone or with
another player. It is recommended you play with another player to make things a
little more manageable, though this guide will still help you if you are
playing alone.

Author's note:
This game can be tough, as most old school arcade games can be.
This is why I am writing this guide. My goal is to write guides for
as many old school games as possible, as I'm an old school gamer myself.
=========================================
A bunch of enemies will come at you at the same time. You want to start off
with some flying kicks, followed up with regular punches to take them out.
You'll head up to another section, and will face a trio of jumping enemies.
Stay on the ground and take them out with punches. More enemies t
hat jump slightly higher. Take them out, then move right and face the next
horde. You'll head back down a level, and will have to watch out for flames
that pour out from the ground. Take the enemies that come from both the left
and the right with sword slashes, and jump attacks, then move right.
You'll have a larger enemy to face that runs from the background towards you.
Take 'em out, and then follow th arrow to the next section. When the going gets
tough, you can change into a different being. The wolf helps out for large
hordes. You'll head down another level once the foes have been taken out, and
will have to watch out for the flames underground again.
Take on the enemies form a distance before they rush you as you make your slow
approach right. You'll head up a level again, and will have to take on move
sporadically moving enemies. Jump kicks followed by regular punch and kick
attacks will fare you well. Be sure to move and evade the strikes from the
enemies as you hit them.
When you head down a level, the color of the sky will change. You'll have a
boss to fight. The boss jumps a lot, but you can use this to your advantage.
Always try to move behind him before he lands, then hit him with a couple of
attacks until he disappears.
One of his attacks to watch for is the one where he throws projectiles at you.
Jump over them, or move to another layer of the screen to avoid them. Time your
jump kicks as he jumps and you'll be able to catch him in the air. Keep at him,
and you'll take him out.
Sword up and head on to face the enemies. Slash at the tough ones to not give
them a change to strike back, then move away before they can retaliate if you
find that they deal too much damage to you. Move through and you'll be elevated
a level once you've taken out enough enemies.
A larger enemy that throws discs at you will appear. Take it out with jump
kicks, and head to the lower level to continue to kick some behind. Remember to
change forms if you're taking a beating.
Head right and take on the rest of the enemies leading up to your next
elevation. Jump kick and dodge the large turtles at they can do some damage,
and then move on, where you'll move to another level.
Take on the horde, but prioritize preserving health. There will be a large
enemy on a cloud that you should jump kick. When he's done for, head down the
next level, and take on the next batch. Be careful when fighting the guys with
swords, as they can take chunks off your life. Jump over them to disorient
them, then attack and don't relent. Head right and face the next few foes.
You'll now be up against a boss. This boss also jumps around, but you should be
able to get a bunch of hits in whenever she comes down. Deal enough damage, and
she'll turn into a foul beast. Keep on the offensive, and watch for the
electric roar, and charge attacks. Other than that, keep landing more hits than
the opponent lands on you, and you'll have completed the stage.
Take on the initial enemies, and watch for the fire. Keep attacking them, and
be sure to keep an eye on the edges of the screen. Take them on as soon as they
appear to prevent them from getting too close, or attacking you first. Be
careful with the sword enemies. Jump kick them to force an opening, and when
they're done for, you'll be elevated a level.
Relentlessly jump kick the large enemy to take him out quickly, and move right
while taking on the minions. Head back down, and you'll be in some sort of
cave. Change form for the enemies here, and fight them. Be sure to incorporate
dodging in your assaults to prevent taking too much damage
You're going to need the health. Head right, and there will be a large number
of enemies coming at you at once. Take them out and move right for the smaller
enemies. You'll head up after a while, and should use projectiles against the
jumping enemies. Jump kicking is an effective alternative, but you'll want to
also switch to a powerful form for when more of them show up. You'll head down
a level for the boss.
For this boss, don't let him land his slash attack, and his slash projectile
attack. He jumps as well, but you can stop him mid air if you attack him just
right after he jumps. This allows for some easy hits. When he does jump
through, though, wait on the other side to catch him with attacks. Jump
slashing occasionally sometimes prevents you from getting hit with his swipe
projectile attack.
You'll have more enemies to face in this new area. They like to jump, the
initial ones, so you'll want to jump kick back. The slightly more difficult
sword slashing enemies will also face you. Once you've taken them out, you'll
head down a level to face some more of them.
The weapon wielding enemies are typically the ones you want to avoid taking the
most damage from by dodging and jumping away. Switch forms when you come to the
femme fatales, and once you've dealt with them, you'll head up to face the
previous beast form of the past boss.
As you've defeated it once before, this time you should still have a grasp on
how to take this foe out. Hitting the enemy enough will make it disintegrate
into smaller little pups. They aren't too menacing, though. Keep moving until
you go down a level. More sword guys here.
Jump kick them, and head right to take in the fresh air. Take on the foot
soldiers. They shouldn't be too difficult, but right after them will be some
sword wielders. These guys aren't the same as the more powerful version,
though, so there shouldn't be too much trouble. Don't let up as you attack the
enemies up. When you head back down, you'll have turtles to face.
There are a few of them to take out, but they go down quick if you don't let
them hit you. Head back up, and take out the other enemies there. Regular
punch/kicks and jump kicks will do. Be sure to dash and evade when there are
too many of them on the screen at once. More enemies will come at you as you
move to the next section, but you're closing in on the boss.
When you finally do get to the boss, either impale him with jump kicks, or
switch to a form with projectiles and keep attacking. The boss takes a few hits
when he tries to slash you, as the attack can easily be avoided, and retaliated
with jump kicks. This boss is not too difficult, so you'll want to find
opportunities to keep hitting the boss, to prevent him from hitting you back.
Times like these are right before hie jumps, and after he slashes at you.
Though not difficult on their own, a lot of enemies will come rushing at you,
and their numbers can get overwhelming. You'll want to hit more than one of
them at a time, until you get to the larger enemy to the right. Take him out,
and you'll have lesser enemies to face before you're transported upwards to the
next section. A ground of armored sword guys will make your acquaintance.
Using projectiles here is very effective as you can take on enemies from the
right or left without having to get too close to them. Keeping your distance is
a good way to prevent taking damage. Continue to take out the enemies on the
edges before they can fully show their faces to hurry through to the next few
sections. Underground, you'll have some plump adversaries, followed by two
large enemies. They rush from right to left, but can be taken down with quick
attacks, followed by dodges or jump kicks.
Head on and slash through the enemies in the next section, and again: when you
find yourself taking too much damage, or there are a little too many enemies on
screen you should change forms. The wolf form works here. Head right,
eliminating all of the enemies, including the couple of sword guys, and you
should slowly be nearing the boss. Destroy the female enemies, and then the
group of jumping enemies, and you'll soon drop down to another section.
You're closing in on the final boss, so try not to take much damage from the
minions. You'll have a few of them to take out, followed by the strong sword
enemies. Slash em through with the samurai form if possible, and then take out
the rapidly jumping next batch of enemies.
You'll head up towards another section. You'll have a boss party to handle
here. A large dragon turtle boss will stand before you. Though it moves slow,
it spits fire at you that can seriously dent you. Slash at the shell, and jump
kick the head to take it out. You're nearing the end of the game once you fell
this boss.
This is it; the final boss. You'll be equipped with a sweet sword, and the
battle will be taken airborne. Slash relentlessly at the enemy while he tries
to slash you back. Deal enough damage, and he'll change forms. Watch for the
fire balls as you continue to slash at him. Keep at it, and his health will
dwindle rapidly. Keep hitting the boss with all you've got, and he'll be out of
the picture shortly.
Great work guys!
