001-General Information
-----------------------------------------------------------

This is a guide for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
game called Wheel of Fortune.   You can e-mail me at
[email protected] if you have any questions
about this game, or if you have some answers to add (that
would help).  Just make sure to have the subject as "Wheel
of Fortune", or I'll delete it thinking that it's junk
mail.  If you have an answer to give me, I'll give you
credit for it.

002-How to Play
-----------------------------------------------------------

Press Start.  Select the number of players, which is one,
two, or three.

If you choose two or one players, you get to choose if the
computer will fill in as many players as possible so in
all, there will be three players.  If you choose three
characters, this does not happen.

You then choose how good the computer players will be.  If
you choose 1, the computer players are stupid and choose
letters like X, which rarely show up in the English
language.  If you choose 2, the computer player will play
like you'd expect a normal person to play.  If you choose
3, the computer player plays like a genius who has good
luck (or someone who cheated and has the answers ahead of
time).

Anyway, after this you enter in the names of characters who
are not computer characters.  The computer characters are
automatically named, sometimes they are strange names
(Timbo?).  You can use the arrow to go back a letter, and
the empty space to make a space.

You then start round one.  You see the board, with a bunch
of spaces on it.  You also see the category under which the
answer falls (person, phrase, thing, etc.).  You have three
moves, spin, vowel, and solve.  Choose one before time runs
out.

If you choose spin, you spin the wheel of fortune.  Choose
how much strength to use, and you spin it.  The wheel will
land on one of four things, bankrupt, miss turn, free spin,
and a number.

If you get a number, you can then choose a letter, one that
isn't any of the letters a, e, i, o, and u.  If that letter
is part of the answer, you then get to see where the letter
is on the board.  For every time that letter appears, you
get a certain dollar amount (the number of dollars is the
number the wheel landed on.  You then take another turn.
If that letter isn't on the board, your turn is up.

If you get bankrupt, your turn is automatically over, and
all of your money disappears.  Oh, no!

If you get miss turn, your turn is over.

If you get free spin, whenever your turn ends, you get the
option of using the free spin to continue the turn.  This
happens at the end of all your turns from then on, until
you use the free spin.

Besides spin, you can vowel.  When you do this, you get to
choose a vowel (a, e, i, o, and u).  If the vowel is on the
board, all of the places where that vowel appears is shown.
It costs 250 dollars to choose vowel, no matter what.  When
it's done, you continue your turn.  Cool part of the game:
when only vowels are left on the board, you are informed of
this.

Besides vowel and spin, you can choose solve.  You get to
put letters in the blank spaces on the answer on the board.
If you put the correct letters in so you get the correct
answer, the round is over.  If not, your turn ends.

Once a player's turn is up, it is the next player's turn.

Once someone solves the puzzle (or all the letters are put
on the board), it is the next round.  The person who ends
the round gets to keep his or her money in his or her
respective total box.

The first two rounds are exactly the same (except the round
number is the number of the player who spins first in that
round).  Round three is the speed-up round.  At the start
of the round, the wheel spins.  The number it lands on is
the set dollar amount for the whole round, meaning you can
only get that amount of money for each letter.

You then get to choose a letter (any letter).   If it is on
the board, you can then choose to solve the puzzle.  If
not, it is the next person's turn.

At the end of the third round, the player with the highest
dollar amount in the total box gets to continue.  They make
it to the bonus round.  If you win the bonus round, you get
a fantastic prize!

If you like the prize offered, choose no, but if you want a
new one, choose yes (seems weird, but technically the
question is "do you want a different prize"?).

In the bonus round, choose five consonants (letters that
are not vowels).  Then choose a vowel.  If any of those six
letters are on the board, they appear.  You then have to
solve the puzzle, and if you solve it, you win the prize.
Yay!

Note: The prizes and money you win in this game will not
actually come to you.  This is just a game, not reality.
