Version 1.7
No actual update or changes to the FAQ... I just changed my alias and
e-mail address and replaced it everywhere in this FAQ. Please note that
[email protected] is no longer my e-mail address!

P.S. - If you want the reason for the name change, mail me and let me know
and I'll tell you (this isn't the place to explain).

*** QUICK UPDATE ***

I found this helpful info in my mailbox just a few minutes ago:

>>
outkast,

to get alot of points after you do a stunt pause the game as soon as the
announcer starts talking and unpause it when he stops talking if you do when
you cross the finish line you can get up to 30,000 points.

Thanks!

Version 1.6
I made some final revisions in the tricks section to help you earn some
more points. I have also concluded that this will be the final update to
this FAQ, but you can feel free to e-mail me any questions you may have.

P.S. - I've mentioned before that I do not own Wave Race, so I do not
have strategies for Glacier Coast and Twilight City, but if you would
like to submit your strategies for either of the two levels, please do
so and I would be happy to update this FAQ once more.

Version 1.5
Since there is no FAQ section in this Stunt Mode Guide, I've added an
e-mail that I received and put it into the Intro section since that
is the best place to answer a question.

9/06/99
Version 1.4
I added an informative e-mail I received in the introduction section
(had no where else to put it), and updated the credits.

7/16/99
Version 1.3
No actual update, I just stuck my new alias and e-mail adress
at the top of the FAQ if you have any questions, comments, or
concerns.

7/1/99
Version 1.2
In the intro section I added some stuff about the characters in the game
and who it is best to be for stunts. Also, I added a  Game Shark
code in the Stunt Mode Guide section (it should help you rack up a
few extra points).

6/16/99
Version 1.1
Remember the message I had posted where I wondered why I couldn't play
twilight city and glacier coast? My question has been answered:

"Twilight City and Glacier Coast aren't available until you reach them
in championship mode. Twilight City--Hard  Glacier Coast--Expert."

Special thanks to Brian Spencer for the information.

4/6/99
Version 1.0
I added it all today...... I listed exactly what to do in each course in
order to get lots of points. One question for anyone out there: When I
rented
the game, Twilight City and Glacier Coast weren't available...... So I
couldn't list them. Anyone know why this happened?

Not much to say, really, I'll get straight to the point and give you the
stuff. I sound like a drug dealer, don't I?

Here are the stunts you'll need to know how to pull off. No barrel rolls,
because they are a waste and the flips give more points. Oh, and in order
to do double flips, you'll have to use the third player because he is the
only one with a high enough speed.

Handstand........... Hit control stick down, then up.
Flip................ Off ramp, hold the control stick down.
Double Flip......... Using player 3, do the same as above only flip twice.

Point System You'll Get:

Every 1/10 of a second you clear a checkpoint... 5 Points
Ring.......... 50 Points more each one you go through.
Flip........................ 750-1400
Double Flip................. 1450-2500
Handstand.................... No exact number..... About 300 pts/10 seconds.

Players/Characters
==================

Player 1 - R. Hayami
This guy is very easy to control and is the player I would recommend
for beginners of the game. He doesn't go quite as fast and do great
stunts like some of the other players, but he's not the guy that
you're going to constantly crash into the walls with.

Player 2 - A. Stewart
She has quite a bit of speed; though not the best in the game. Her
speed is critical to pull off some of the high-point stunts, but
she is harder to control and is not recommended for beginning
players.

Player 3 - M. Jeter
He is the best player in the game for a super amount of speed, great
acceleration skills, and can really be great on the ramps. His speed
allows him to pull off more stuff when going for stunts, though
controlling him will take lots of practice. Certainly not recommended
for beginning players; definetely recommended for advanced players.

Player 4 - D. Marier
Why this person was put in the game is a mystery, in my mind. However,
I actually think it's for a laugh. This guy is heavy, has barely any
speed, can't be controlled, and cannot do stunts for his life. Not
recommended for any players, unless you need a good laugh.

Here is an e-mail sent in by Ryan J. (see credits).

First of all, in almost every stage you tell people to do handstands or
whatever. If you ride backwards on the jet, you
will get over 500 points and you can do it as many as 2 times in 5 seconds!!
You dont have to keep doing it longer to get more points. To do this let go
of the gas, rotate the control stick counterclockwise and
push up. Easy to do and will net you a lot of points!!

Also, if you hit a jump just right at a good speed you should be able to do
a quad (4) flip jump. Very easy to do!! For a quad you get over 2500
points!!!!
<<

Following these will get you more points but are more difficult to do
and I don't recommend trying them if you're a beginner. In fact, I don't
recommend these unless you've been playing the game for a while now.

Here is another e-mail I received:

>>
just saw your faq and i think its cool but i have a question about the two
hidden courses.
how do i unlock them?

Thanks

The answer to this can be found in the update for version 1.0, but here it
is anyways:

"Twilight City and Glacier Coast aren't available until you reach them
in championship mode. Twilight City--Hard  Glacier Coast--Expert."

Special thanks to Brian Spencer for the information.
