IV. Game Introduction
                           =====================

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 is your typical skating/skating/BMXing game.
You can improve your character (one of many famous skaters) by completing
levels, stunts and different goals.

BASIC CONTROLS:
C down: Jump (Ollie)
C up: Grind
C left: Grab trick
C right: Flip trick
Control Stick: Turn/Move; Also used in combination with C buttons to perfom
various tricks.

Trick Tips:

Grab Tricks- The longer you hold, the more points you can rack up. Also, most
grab moves can be performed rather quickly, and as such, are good in combos and
during grinds.

Flip Tricks- Two words: Combos and Air. The more tricks you can fit into one
combo, the better off you will be.

                              VI. The Levels
                              ==============
-----------
The Foundry
-----------

Level Overview
--------------
The foundry is a reasonably small level. At the beginning, you have a choice
between skating down a roll-in or jumping an inclined lip to reach a series of
catwalks hanging over the level. If you skate down the roll-in, there is an
in-ground halfpipe immediately after it, followed by a mechanical press and
then a pool of molten metal down the center. Above the level, a pot of molten
metal moves back and forth and pours glowing steel into the pool near the end.
Beyond the pool of metal is a pair of quarterpipes flanking a control booth.
When you grind the length of the control booth, the molten pot falls along with
the rails that support it -- opening up new combos and gaps. Along both sides
of the level are a series of rails and quarterpipes which make for great
combos. On the right side of the level, there is a blue pool of water on a
raised platform. A series of rails and ledges lurks far above the entire level,
and the walls are adorned with large grindable pipes that can be followed all
the way from one end to the other in a single combo.

Objective Guide
---------------
High Score (10,000 Points)
Pro Score (25,000 Points)
Sick Score (75,000 Points)

The required scores in this level are low enough that you should worry more
about getting accustomed to using combos than getting the score. A series of
flip tricks into manuals leading to a big spinning air off a quarterpipe can
end with a revert and a rapid flip trick into another manual, continuing this
way for quite some time. It should take you very little practice to get to the
point that a 50,000 point combo is reasonably simple. Practice working gaps
into your combos for further bonuses, and get accustomed to doing tricks from
one grind to another.

Collect S-K-A-T-E

S - Over the halfpipe at the beginning of the level.
K - Over a rail shortly past the halfpipe.
A - At the left end of the quarterpipe near the end of the level.
T - Between the two sloping rails on the right side of the level.
E - Over the quarterpipe on the floor under the glass room.

Unjam The Valves

The five valves are near the four corners of the level, with a fifth next to
the blue pool on the right hand side. The easiest path is to get the valve on
the left as you start the level, then head to the right side of the level and
hit the three along that wall before heading over to the final valve on the
left at the end of the level.

Activate the Press

Grind the ledge with the lever on the right side of the area just after the
halfpipe.

Grind the Control Booth

The control "booth" is at the end of the level, between two quarterpipes. The
left quarterpipe had the "A" over it. Grind the entire length of the ledge
between the pipes to get this goal.

Cannonball Over the Halfpipe

Do the "cannonball" trick (normally right+circle) over the halfpipe where the
"S" was located.

Find the Secret Tape

Par for the course in this game, not too difficult but hard to find. The secret
tape is at the crossing of two rails hanging from the ceiling. To get there,
you need to get onto a catwalk next to the rails, which is done by jumping from
a small lip next to a quarterpipe suspended over the control booth. Get air off
the control booth quarterpipe, and grind the edge of the ledge; then jump to
the side to get onto the platform there, so you can hit the quarterpipe for
speed. Once you come off the quarterpipe, you'll need to quickly judge where to
jump the lip at the edge, preferably landing in a grind on the rail closest to
the middle of the level on either catwalk. You can grind straight off that rail
onto the hidden tape rail. If you don't land on that rail directly, you'll need
to jump from the catwalk to grind it. You'll see the tape, so just don't fall
over and you'll get to it pretty quickly.

Hidden Deck Location

The hidden deck is in the glass room at the top of the level on the right side.
Just jump over to the catwalks at the beginning of your run, skate up, and go
get it.

Stat Point Locations

1. Over the pipe on the right hand wall at the start location.
2. Over the rail on the left side of the catwalk.
3. Over the small hump in the center of the press.
4. Between the two ledges at the end of the level.
5. On the ledge over the quarterpipe at the end of the level.

-----------
Los Angeles
-----------

Level Overview
--------------
LA is one of the biggest-looking levels, but has a reasonably simple layout.
From your starting point, there's a library directly in front of you; a rail
leads to the roof where you can jump to a broken overpass, several rails lead
through the lobby, leading to either a large area of sloped curbs and handrails
with a few interspersed funboxes and ramps, or the Nokia building which lurks
between two taller buildings flanked by quarterpipes. Inside the Nokia building
is an elevator which can take you high above the level for a huge air or a
truly ridiculous grind; behind the Nokia building is a series of rails, and
behind that a number of quarterpipes surround a car wash. A small halfpipe on
the car wash is at the other end of the broken overpass from your starting
point, and an alley across from the car wash leads back to a quarterpipe and a
sloped concrete island that can loft you onto a pair of rails leading across
the street. Telephone wires and fallen pipes provide areas for grinding over
large sections of the level.

Objective Guide
---------------
High Score (15,000 points)
Pro Score (40,000 points)
Sick Score (100,000 points)

The area around the car wash provides excellent opportunities for revert combos
leading into long grinds, and you can even start this off with a long grind
down the overpass to get there. Almost everything is jumpable or grindable, so
it's not a question of where you can do a trick, it's more a question of where
you want to do a trick NEXT. The only real flaw in this level is that with so
many appealing spots to do tricks, a lot of them will run you into walls or off
the edges of ramps -- but once you adjust to this, the level is a great deal of
fun.

Collect S-K-A-T-E

S - Over the ledge on the other side of the library from your starting point.
K - On the wall in the middle of the sloped halfpipe across from the movie
theatre.
A - Over the rail leading through the car wash.
T - On a bent pipe at the end of the quarterpipe next to the alley.
E - At the bottom of the sloped rail to the left of your starting point.

Transformer Shutdown

Located around the level are five transformers, pink boxes with green lights.
Wallride over them or jump into them, and they'll blow up, leaving a big black
scorch mark.

To the left of your starting point, on the wall next to the sloped rail.
On the left hand wall of the alley across from the car wash.
At the end of the quarterpipe next to the car wash.
On the wall next to the Nokia building, to the left of the halfpipe.
On the wall of the street leading to the Nokia building from your starting
point.

Grind the Electric Rail

Over the alley across from the car wash, there are two rails. Grind the one on
the left, and it will lead you to the electric rail (which spits and sparks to
let you know what it is). Grind across it, and you'll complete this goal as
well as causing part of the street to collapse and form a series of useful
slopes.

Elevator Grind

There is an elevator inside the Nokia building. Wallride the silver control
panel to open the elevator, then skate into it and wait while it takes you to
the roof. Once there, grind the ledge in front of you, which will take you into
a grind down a very long rail leading all the way to the ground. Grind all the
way to the end, and this goal will be completed.

Kickflip Over Elevator Lobby

Huck a big jump over the Nokia building and throw in a kickflip on the way
over. While this takes a lot of speed, you don't necessarily need to raise your
stats to get it done; all pro, secret, and custom skaters can manage this goal
without spending a single stat point. (In fact, there is not a single goal in
all of THPS3 which needs any special stats to complete. If you don't feel like
it, you don't have to spend a single stat point for the entire game.)

Find the Secret Tape

Grind the rail immediately just to the left in front of your starting point to
get to the roof of the building. Use the quarter pipe directly behind you to
get some speed. Once on the roof, ollie to the rail to the right of the skater
in the image below to get to the broken overpass. Then, use the wooden plank to
ollie up to the ledge you see in the distance. Once you've hit the last ledge,
you will be able to see the tape. Grind the ledge to your right and grind the
right side of the sign sticking out of the building's front. At the end of the
sign, there's a rail with the secret tape on it.

Hidden Deck Location

The hidden deck is well hidden here, over a quarterpipe located halfway up a
building. Grind the right hand telephone wire to reach the quarterpipe, and air
straight up to snag the deck. For a real charge, start this off from the
electric rail with a manual over the kicker to turn it into one big combo, then
revert on the way down and reverse the process all the way back to a huge air
off the alley quarterpipe. Or, of course, you could also take it into a longer
grind combo around the car wash area to end it with a little revert action...
if you're so inclined.

Stat Point Locations

There are 5 stat point icons on each stage.

Over the broken pipe sticking out of the overpass across from the library.
Over the quarterpipe between the theatre and the next building.
On the left hand rail leading away from the alley across from the car wash.
On the wire leading from the Nokia building to the telephone lines.
On the wire leading from the quarterpipe to the Nokia building.

---
Rio
---

Level Overview
--------------
A series of quarterpipes around a pool, further surrounded by several funboxes
and rails, and all of this inside the confines of a series of buildings with
balconies. Not too complex. In the corner of the level by the produce stand,
there's a spiral ramp which leads up to a rail, a kicker, and a quarterpipe.
The quarterpipe serves as a perfect speed-builder to hit a jump to the rail
alongside the building, which leads back to a back alley full of quarterpipes
and grindable balconies behind the rest of the level.

Medal Tips

Due to the curves in the pool and the lack of wide transitions in the main
skatepark area using mostly vert tricks and reverts might be hard to achieve a
high score with. The gaps and grinds around the perimeter of the level make
high scoring effectively trivial. Just grind the rails at the corners, leaping
into more grinds on the ledges along the sides. The entire level can be circled
several times if your balance is good.

Stat Point Locations

There are 5 stat point locations on each stage.

Over the quarterpipe in the center of the funbox on your left.
On the wire immediately behind the funbox on your left.
On the wire at the back right of the level over the pool entry.
Over a curved rail at the front right corner of the level.
Over a quarterpipe in the back alley.
To reach the first two stat points go to the bottom of the roll-in and look to
the left. You should see a large banner and a quarter pipe. One stat point is
high in the air you can reach it by going up the quarterpipe. The next stat
point is nearby. Use the right side of the wedge, directly next to the quarter
pipe to reach the stat point floating above the telephone lines.

The third stat point is near the center of the skatepark. Skate next to the
cement quarterpipes near the pool and you should see a stat point floating
above another telephone line. Use a cement quarterpipe to launch yourself up to
the telephone line and stat point.

The fourth stat point is to the right of the roll-in along the wall. The stat
point is floating on a bar above the ground. One way to reach this stat point
is by doing a wallride to grind from the apartment balcony alongside the wall.

The fifth stat point is well hidden. There is a hidden section of Rio behind
the row of buildings on the left. One way to reach the hidden area is to go
back up behind the building (as if you were going for the hidden deck). There
is a rail high against the wall on the right as you're going uphill. You have
to ollie and wallride to reach this rail and take it back downhill. The rail
will curve to the left and lead you through an open window. Once you are behind
the buildings you will see the stat point floating on a balcony. Just ollie to
reach it. There is a halfpipe and quarterpipe area that can lead you back out
to the main part of Rio should you wish to return.

Hidden Deck Location

To reach the hidden deck go to the bottom of the roll in and turn around. There
is an uphill section behind a building. Go to the top and turn left. The deck
is floating in front of you just ollie to reach it.

Suburbia
--------

Level Overview
--------------
This level is based around a cul de sac, with a set of rails immediately in
front of you that lead to a huge halfpipe next to a trailer park. To the left
of this halfpipe is a mansion, which you can't get to in this version (you can
in the PS2 version), and to the right is a pathway leading to a large drained
swimming pool behind a house. Immediately behind your starting point is a large
building, behind which is a narrow alley filled with quarterpipes. A kicker at
one end of this alley leads to the roof of the building. Turning to your left,
you will see and hear an ice cream truck next to a house under construction;
the interior of the house is, strangely enough, a huge circular vert ramp.
Wooden fences surround the area, and telephone wires stretch above the level
for monumentally long grinds between areas.

Objective Guide
---------------
High Score (10,000 Points)
Pro Score (25,000 Points)
Sick Score (75,000 Points)

Probably the best-balanced level of the bunch, this area provides virtually
unlimited fodder for long grinds and big gaps and huge air off high ramps.
Avoid skating the swimming pool, which is too tight for a decent revert and too
deep for a decent outbound transfer. Sticking around quarterpipe alley is
rarely a mistake, and the trailer park is great for long manuals and big airs
over trailers. The house under construction provides a transfer into
quarterpipe alley with the "OMFG!" gap, which makes a truly impressive start to
a revert combo that later leads across to the trailer park for even more air
and longer grinds.

Collect S-K-A-T-E

S - Right in front of you on the curved rail at the beginning of the level..
K - Between the two halfpipes in the trailer park.
A - Over the quarterpipe at the end of the trailer park.
T - Next to the lip of the swimming pool.
E - Over the quarterpipe next to the building by the swimming pool.

Apall the Appliances

Located around the level are five unidentified appliances which you must skate
through. They look like washers, sort of. Actually they don't look like much of
anything. I guess that's why they've been scattered around the level... nobody
knows what exactly they're supposed to do.

On the lip of the halfpipe in the trailerpark.
On top of the trailer next to the corrugated steel kicker.
On the lip of the swimming pool.
At the end of the rail in the quarterpipe alley.
On the lip of a quarterpipe in the quarterpipe alley.
Disrespect the Dishes
Located around the level are three satellite dishes which you must skate
through.

On the roof of the trailer next to the house.
On the house next to that trailer.
On the roof behind your starting point.

Ice the Ice Cream Man

Behind the ice cream truck, there's a big yellow crane supported by a wire. On
either side of the crane, there are two quarterpipes. Air between them to snap
the wire, allowing the crane to collapse and crush the ice cream truck.

360 Flip the Weather Vane

On the end of the roof behind your starting point, there's a little weather
vane. Grind the peak of the roof, jump over the weathervane, do a 360 flip, and
grind the roof on the other side. Jump into the pool for extra points.

Find the Secret Tape

After collapsing the crane between the quarterpipes behind the ice cream truck,
grind up it to snag the tape hanging in the air over the street.

Hidden Deck Location

The hidden deck is on a wire leading across the cul de sac.

Stat Point Locations

Each level has 5 stat point icons.

On the roof behind your starting point.
On a wire leading from the roof behind your starting point to the steps by the
mansion.
On the lip of the quarterpipe in the trailer park.
On top of the house by the swimming pool.
On a wire leading from the house by the swimming pool to the trailer park.

-------
Airport
-------

Level Overview
--------------
The airport is reasonably simple to understand; it's essentially a downhill
level, arranged in a simple and straightforward configuration. Hanging from the
ceiling, there are several grindable light fixtures, and rails are everywhere.
Various benches and monitors protrude from the walls, suitable for jumping and
grinding. To the left of your starting point and past the counter, there is a
men's room you can skate through; on the right of your starting point, you can
skate through the baggage conveyor into a baggage handling area with a pair of
escalators leading to several rails, quarterpipes, and a small circular pool
before a security checkpoint. Directly in front of your starting area is a
moving "slidewalk", beyond which is a pair of escalators leading down to a pair
of narrow quarterpipes under a hanging model plane. (This is also where you
exit the baggage handling area.) Another slidewalk is just past this, followed
by a security checkpoint and a corner leading to a pair of escalators and the
end of the level. The end of the level is a decently sized area of quarterpipes
with three rails running along the walls for grinding, and a couple of benches
near the window where you can look out and see a large plane on the runway.

Objective Guide
---------------
High Score (40,000 Points)
Pro Score (100,000 Points)
Sick Score (200,000 Points)

Grind, grind, grind. Lots of grinds. There's almost no opportunity to do any
big air until you get to the end of the level, so get up to the light fixtures
at the first escalator and just hit all the lights on down the level to rack up
a stack of gaps and grinds that can lead you all the way to the end into a
couple big airs and reverts -- or just a big monstrosity of a grind on the
rails leading around the room.

Collect S-K-A-T-E
S: The S is directly ahead from the beginning. It is located on a rail on the
long walkway.
K: The K is at the bottom and to the left of the first escalator drop from the
start of the level.
A: The A is located on a rail on another long walkway halfway down the level.
T: The T is floating above a x-ray machine near the turn for the main terminal.
Use a kicker at either end of the x-ray machine to reach the T.
E: The E is on a transition on the side of the main terminal. At the opposite
end from the start of the level.

Snag the Flags
At the end of the level are five flags which you must skate through. Since many
people don't recognise these flags, we've also listed the countries to which
they belong.

Italian, on the second rail up over the quarterpipe.
Canadian, on the first rail up between the quarterpipe and the bench.
Chad, on the third rail up over the bench.
Bahamas, on the third rail up by the windows over the runway.
Australia, on the second rail up next to the bench on the other side.

Lost Luggage Found!

Located around the level are five lost suitcases which you must skate through.

Inside the men's room at the end of the sinks.
At the end of the rail at the bottom of the left escalator.
Next to the quarterpipe on the right of the escalators at the end of the level.
Next to the inset quarterpipe opposite the windows over the runway.
On top of the seats in the middle of the floor at the end of the level.
Nosebluntslide the Airport Sign
The airport sign is big and blue and hangs from the ceiling at the end of the
level. Air off the quarterpipe on the left to get onto it, and do a
nosebluntslide along the length of the sign to get this goal. There is a large
airport sign in the main terminal on the opposite side of the starting point of
the level. To reach the sign (and a stat point on it) use the quarter pipe on
the side and ollie up to the sign and execute a nosebluntslide along the length
of the sign to get this goal.

Grind the Plane

At the bottom of the first set of escalators, there are two very narrow
quarterpipes connected by a rail. Above them hangs a model airplane. Jump up
one of the quarterpipes to grind along the wings of the plane and land cleanly
to complete this goal. You must grind the wing from one end to the other. This
is tricky because if you are going too fast you will slam into the wall and
lose the level goal. Try grinding the plane at a slow to medium speed and as
soon as you receive the bonus ollie away from the plane so you do not hit the
wall.

Find the Secret Tape

The secret tape is next to a light fixture at the end of the level. It is near
the airport sign. Grind the light between the second set of escalators, and
jump to a grind on the angled light beyond it to get to the secret tape.

Hidden Deck Location

To the immediate right of the starting spot there is a luggage claim. Ollie
over the short wall and head through a secret opening on the luggage conveyor.
Follow the tunnel and you will end up in a room with rails, a bowl and the
hidden deck directly in front of you over the funbox.

Stat Point Locations
There are 5 stat point icons on each level.

Between the light fixtures on the left hand wall next to the men's room.
On the light fixture between the first set of escalators.
On the rail between the narrow quarterpipes.
On top of the airport sign.
At the end of the top rail over the quarterpipe to the right of the escalators
at the end of the level.
The first is to the left on a light rail high overhead. Gain some speed from
the start and use the wedge on the side of the lockers to ollie up and reach
the rail.

Then, hanging on a high rail over the first escalator gap is the 2nd. Grind and
ollie from the middle escalator up to the rail to reach this stat point.

Number three is on a rail just under the plane after the escalator drop. Grind
the rail at medium speed to reach the stat point.

On top of the airport sign in the main terminal lies the 4th. Use the
transition to launch yourself up to the airport sign and grind it to reach the
stat point.

Located at the highest possible rail in the terminal the final icon can be
found. The stat point is facing the airport sign. To reach it grind and
wallride the outside edge of the terminal and go from rail to rail until you
reach the highest rail. Maintain your balance and you should reach this final
stat point.

Level Overview
--------------
This level revolves areound a huge halfpipe. On the left is a double bowl, on
the right a single bowl. Two passages provide an entry into the street course
on the other side of the level, where several funboxes dominate the floor and a
pair of quarterpipes flank the door leading out to a small outdoor area. Around
the walls, several pipes provide grinding surfaces, as do various low wooden
ledges and a gridwork of steel rails arching high over the rest of the level.

Medal Tips

With all these bowls and funboxes, getting high scores in this area is
reasonably easy. Start with a grind down the border between the halfpipe and
the street course, then jump off into a manual and hit a big air to revert in
the bowl. Pop into a manual, leap over the side into the street area, and toss
another big air over the door to another revert. Flip into a manual, and just
ride to the end of the course with further flips into manual and jumps over the
funboxes on the way, ending with a big air off the quarterpipe at the end.

Stat Point Locations
There are 5 stat point icons on each level.

On the edge of the platform over the double pool.
On the bar over the passage between the halfpipe and the single pool
Over the door at the end of the street course.
Over the rail in the corner of the street course next to the door.
Over the quarterpipe at the end of the street course.
The first stat point is directly ahead and to the right of the halfpipe roll-in
when you start the level. Grind on the outside edge of the ramp and ollie to
reach this stat point.
Two more stat points are nearby. There is a stat point floating over the
doorway to the outdoor area of Skater Island. Ollie over the door to reach this
stat point. There is another stat point tucked in the corner of the skatepark.
Ollie and wallride to the rail to reach it. Or simply ollie out of the corner
transition and up to reach the stat point.

The fourth stat point is located directly to the left of the ramp (the starting
spot). Ollie over the gap between the ramp and the high ledge and go up the
wedge to reach the stat floating above the bowl.

The fifth stat point and hidden deck are located next to each other. On the
main park course, to the far left of the halfpipe there is a banner that reads
"Tony Hawk's World Tour." Ollie up from the quarterpipe below the sign and
wallride to reach either the stat or hidden deck. The deck is higher and on a
balcony so it might be a few tries before you reach it. Make sure you are going
fast before you try for both items.

Hidden Deck Location

The deck is located on top of the large funbox at the end of the street course.

Canada

Level Overview
--------------
Canada is a pretty confusing level at first. There's a parking lot leading
around the corner of a large concrete skate park, with a series of rails
leading along the back side past a pair of billboards. To your left as you
start the level, there is an alley with several shops and a small stair set
leading between the areas. At the end of this alley is a kicker which can be
jumped to get up onto the roofs of the shops, and at the opposite end is a
building with a snowy area on its right and an area with a large tree to its
left. Beyond that area is a large circular quarterpipe around a circular "hub"
ramp, and arcing around the perimeter of this area is a confusing and complex
series of rails and tracks and ledges for grinding. The skate park itself
contains three pools, each of different depth, and a large series of
quarterpipes leading back to several roll-in channels near a pair of small
pyramids connected by rails. A pair of sweeping quarter-circle quarterpipes are
near the pools, and one has a nicely sloped back suitable for huge airs into
the deep pool at the corner. The park is, of course, surrounded by a nicely
grindable fence.

Objective Guide
---------------
High Score (50,000 Points)
Pro Score (125,000 Points)
Sick Score (250,000 Points)

The big scores in this area are undoubtedly the parking lot rail area, where
you can throw out four and five runs along the lot with reverts in between; the
speed bumps can loft you up for nice 540 and 720 airs into manuals, or you can
take to the parking lot rails instead. Once you get tired of this, the combo
can be extended into either the alley for some more grinding, or to the park
for more big air and revert action.

Collect S-K-A-T-E

It's worth noting that if you jump over the fence into no-man's-land near the
skate park, the game will drop you right on top of the A. Some people panic
when they can't find it after that.

SKATE Locations
S: Located directly in front and to the left of the starting point. Launch
yourself from a kicker to reach the letter..
K: Located above some Canada billboards. From the starting point go right and
follow the fence/rail bordering the skatepark. When the fence turns right you
are facing a downhill into the parking lot. You have to grind the fence on your
right and ollie over to the left to reach the letter K floating above the
parking lot.
A: At the top of a roll-in inside the skatepark. Turn to the right of the start
and ollie the fence to get into the skatepark. Proceed straight ahead past the
pools and launch ramps until you see a tall roll-in. The letter A is in the
center of the tallest roll-in.
T: Behind the skatepark. From the start turn around and go over the trailer.
Turn left and follow the old barn/mine. At the back of the mine there is a
transition and the letter T. Simply go up the transition and grind a little
(through some wooden boards) to get the T..
E: Floating over a kicker in the edge of the skatepark and parking lot near the
letter K. To reach it simply go up the transition facing the skatepark and
ollie towards the parking lot to reach the letter.

Totem Poles
Around the level, there are five totem poles you must skate through.

Between the rails in the parking lot next to the quarterpipe by the billboards.
Behind the starting point next to the tree.
Next to the circular quarterpipe around the hub.
In the snowy area behind the building behind your starting point.
In the skate park, between the pools.

Blow Up the Tree

Turn around from your starting spot and go to the top of the trailers where the
train tracks are. You should notice a detonation switch on the tracks to the
left. Simply skate through it to set off the charge and blow down the tree.

Nosegrind the Tree

Once you blow up the tree (you'll see it fall down facing the skatepark). Now
you have to nosegrind the tree to complete your tasks on this level. I suggest
starting at the base of the tree. Actually go flush to the wall behind the tree
and turn around. You have to gain momentum before you ollie up the trunk and
begin grinding. Once you are on the tree you do not have to keep holding a nose
grind. To keep your speed up I recommend grinding a 50-50, ollie, 50-50, ollie,
50-50 etc... until you reach the last quarter of the tree. Simply nosegrind the
last few feet and the task will be recorded as Nosegrinding the (entire) Tree.

Ollie the Pool

To the immediate right of the start in the skatepark there is a pool you have
to ollie. Turn right and ollie over the fence from the start position. Go to
the middle of the skatepark and you should see a pool. There are black marks on
either side of the pool indicating that this is the space you are supposed to
ollie. Build up some speed (I use the transitions on the opposite side of the
pool to gain speed). And ollie over this pool.
Also, one of the pools in the skate park has a narrow 'tongue' which can be
hopped over with a boneless. Do that for this goal.

Find the Secret Tape

The hidden tape is difficult to reach your first time on the level. Make
yourself familiar with the rooftops and launch ramps on the saloon area to the
left of the starting spot. This is the same place where you find a stat point
and the hidden deck. At the top of the last roof facing the mountain you'll
notice a kicker and a set of train tracks high in the mountain. Ollie up to the
tracks and take them to a wooden halfpipe in the hill. From that halfpipe ollie
up to a higher halfpipe in the side of the mountain. This is frustrating to get
up to but keep trying. Once you are up there you'll notice a pole sticking out
from the side of the ramp. With medium/slow speed grind the edge of the ramp
and make a light ollie up to the pole. If you are going too fast you will
overshoot the pole and fall down. Grind the pole and you will find the hidden
tape at the end.

Hidden Deck Location

The hidden deck is in the alley to the left of your starting point, on the back
of the white-railed balcony. Use the kicker at the end of the street to get on
top of the buildings, then skate along and drop onto the balcony to skate over
and grab the deck.

Stat Point Locations

There are 5 stat point icons on each stage. Here are where these can be found.
To the left of the starting point and high up on top of a billboard. To reach
the stat point pick up speed and grind/ollie/grind up the wire connected to the
billboard.

Inside the skatepark next to the corner pool. To reach it grind up the banister
next to the corner pool and ollie to reach the stat point over the pool.

Also inside the skatepark. It is floating between a rail and a transition.
Grind the transition and ollie out to reach the stat point.

Hidden above the saloon buildings to the left of the starting area. Use a
wallride to go onto the rooftops and search for the stat points on top of a
roof in front of a kicker.

The hardest to reach in the level. If you turn around from the initial starting
point you should see three sets of tracks above a trailer. The set on the left
has the detonator to "Blow up the tree." Follow the tracks down to the floor.
To the left there is a long kicker and a set of tracks on a balcony. Go up onto
this balcony. There is a tunnel straight ahead that curves down and contains
the letter "T" Do not go down this tunnel. To the right there is a rail and a
high wall. What you have to do is ollie and wallride up the rail and over the
wall. There is a ledge that curves out high above the skatepark. You have to
grind this ledge and ollie to collect the last stat point.

Tokyo
-----

Level Overview
--------------
Tokyo is a neon paradise, where quarterpipes dominate the beginning of the
level and a pair of bowls dominate the end. Surrounding the whole thing, there
is a long series of grind ledges at multiple heights which can -- with great
balance -- be followed all the way around the level. In the center, a pair of
full loops wraps around a series of catwalks, and floating high in the air
above the center of the level is a magical alien quarterpipe with a floor
composed of solid light.

Medal Tips
----------
With reverts, this is pretty trivial. Simply hit the quarterpipes near the
beginning, and with a couple big airs to revert, you should have a pretty solid
score. Grind down the ledges to the back of the level for variety, then
duplicate the same general air/revert theme at the other end of the level and
top it off with another grind down the other side of the level to get you back
to the starting point. (This series will also snag all the stat points on your
first run.)

Stat Point Locations

The five stat points are all located on the outside edge of the skatepark.

Over the quarterpipe on your left as you enter the level.
On a ledge on the right side at the front of the level.
On the rectangular platform over the blue glass halfway along the left side of
the level.
On a ledge on the right side at the back of the level.
On a ledge halfway along the left side of the level.

Hidden Deck Location
There is no hidden deck on the Tokyo level.

--------
Downhill
--------

Level Overview
--------------
The downhill level consists of a long series of quarterpipes, ledges, rails,
and stairs leading down a long, steep hill. Speed bumps and small islands with
trees dot the center of the road, and you start at the top of a very long stair
set dropping to a landing and slope which leads to a small flat area surrounded
by quarterpipes. On the right side, a balcony provides a convenient starting
point for a grind that leads down several short rails nearly all the way to the
end of the level. The end of the level is a mini skate park with a pool and
four quarterpipes, along with a couple interesting rails.

Scoring Tips
------------
There's no real need to get a high score here, but reverts are the order of the
day. There are a great many quarterpipes right across from one another, and
they make it very simple to kick out seven and eight reverts into manuals
across the street to big airs. For a change of pace, take your last air into a
grind down the rest of the level and over to the little park at the end.

Stat Point Locations

Most stages have 5 stat points located throughout the level, but the Downhill
bonus stage has a total of 10.
One hidden in a tree on a median strip toward the top of the level.
Three on a wire over the street, which leads to...
Three on another wire over the street, which leads to a ramp which leads to...
The last rail has three icons on it.
