5) Review
************************************************************************

This game is the best! It is the best party game that I have ever
played because of it's multiplayer. This game almost never gets old!
Also the best fighter that I have ever played. Choose from Mario, DK,
Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, and Pikachu plus 4 hidden characters.
There are 9 stages, all packed with fun! The character balance is great
so there is no best character. My first favourite character was Pikachu,
than Mario and Luigi, than Kirby, than Donkey Kong, than Samus, than
Ness, and now Mario and Luigi again! That's one reason that this game is
so great, since there is no best character, you and your friends won't
all be being the same character. The items add a lot of variety to the
action. All the characters have a variety attacks that you need to
master. It's all the little things that make this game shine!

Graphics- 8/10
Very nice graphics. Ness, Samus, Kirby, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff get
their debuts on the N64. The backgrounds are nicely drawn and the
characters look great. It's a good thing that this game is 2D and not 3D
because if it was 3D than we would get that crummy 4 screen split thing
like with most games. Instead everybody watches the same screen so it's
not complicated. You don't see a lot of blocky figures because the
gameplay is mostly from a zoomed out perspective.

Music/Sound- 8/10
Some music is awesome like the Congo Jungle and Saffron City
themes, but some are overly cute like the Yoshi's Island theme. The
sound effects are good. I usually don't notice the music nearly as much
as the sound effects though. The Mushroom Kingdom stage has the 8-bit
music from the NES Mario Brothers! Plus the Zelda overworld theme that
was left out of Ocarina of Time is in here. All of the stages have their
own remix of music from their characters games. Peach's Castle has the
Mario theme, Planet Zebes has the Metroid theme. The sound is great!

Controls- 8/10
The controls are sometimes not as responsive as I would like them
but I don't experienced too many problems with it. Not nearly as
complicated as other fighters like Tekken 3. Some moves can be a pain to
master like Ness' triple jump and Pikachu's Double Quick Attack. Some
combos take a lot of skill to master. Both C and up on the control stick
make your character jump, but I prefer using C to jump so that I don't
get confused when doing Up+B and Up+A moves. The controls are overall,
fairly simple, which is good.

Gameplay- 10/10
This is where the game shines! I can't get enough of the
multiplayer mode. The 1 Player Mode doesn't have much to offer however
and I think it would be a lot cooler if it was in a tournament setup.
There are 12 characters, 9 stages, and tons of options! All of the
characters are great except for Yoshi and Jigglypuff. Some people are
good with them but I just don't like them. The items add a lot of
variety to the gameplay, but I find that some items are too cheap like
the Homerun Bat and the Hammer. Getting the secret characters makes the
game more of a challenge.

Replay Value- 10/10
Like I said earlier I can't get enough of the multiplayer mode. All
I can say is that this game won't get old for a while. I play it all day
when I get the chance. You're guaranteed 2 or 3 months out of this game
after you have all of the secrets. Many will disagree, but I think this
is one of the most addictive games on the N64! You won't want to stop
unless you're hungry or have to go to the bathroom! I wish I had this
game so much, and you will too after renting it once. Even though it's
not an RPG and the game can be beaten in about a week(unless you stay up
all night or are a pro at video games, in which case it will take less
time) the multiplayer mode will keep you coming back for more!

Overall- 9/10
A great game, and a great fighter! It's not bloody, it's not gory,
it's just plain fun! Every aspect of the game is good if not wonderful.
If you're a big Nintendo fan than this game is a must have! Fans of
classic fighting games might be disappointed, but Nintendo fans will
love it to death! If you don't mind the cost than buy this game.
However, this game is not for everybody so rent first. You don't want to
waste $50 if you don't even like the game.

************************************************************************
6) Story
************************************************************************

There isn't much of a story to this game. The story is a boy who
has dolls of a bunch of popular Nintendo characters likes to fight them
against each other. Then he puts on a glove and makes the winner fight
his hand. That is who the Master Hand is, the boys hand! Not much of a
story, but this game doesn't really need one because it's a fighter. The
types of games that really need a good story are RPGs and Adventures.
The story in my opinion is the only bad thing about this game, but you
won't even be thinking about the story while you are smashing Jigglypuff
into the background!

************************************************************************

The controls are pretty basic.

Dash+A- Strong Attack

8) Mode Select Screen
************************************************************************

If you're a beginner at Super Smash Brothers and want to learn
about all of the options than you have come to the right section.
Veteran players you can just skip this section, it probably won't be
anything new to you. Press START on the Title screen to reach the Mode
Select screen and the following four options:

1P Mode- Featuring four-single player modes.

VS Mode- Featuring Free-for-All and Team Battle modes of play.

Options- Gives you three options about the gameplay.

Data- Get information on the characters as well as VS Mode standings.

~1P MODE~

~1P Game~
Battle your way past various enemies and through bonus stages to
reach the final boss. Choose your character on the Character Select
screen by moving the cursor and chip to the character of your choice,
then pressing the A Button. To change characters press the B Button,
then drop the chip on another character by pressing the A Button again.
Change your character's appearance with the C button. High scores for
the game and for each character are shown in the bottom-right corner of
the screen. To choose your stock life and difficulty level, move the
cursor to the yellow arrows in the Options section, and press the A
Button to scroll through the choices. Choose to fight with up to five
lives, and set the difficulty level to any setting between Very Easy to
Very Hard. To change the time move the cursor to the arrows in the Time
section and pressing the A Button.

~Training Mode~
The Training Mode is the best way to learn each character's moves.
Choose your character, your opponent, and the battle stage, then begin
your training session! Like the 1-Player battle screen, the Training
Mode screen also has Damage Meters for the two contestants, but it has a
lot more information than that! Press START to access the Pause screen.
From here you can adjust the following Training Mode options:
CP- Set the Computer Player's action to Stand, Walk, Evade, Jump, or
Attack.
Item- Scroll between items with the Control Stick. The selected item
appears when the A button is pressed.
Speed- Set the speed to 1/1(regular speed), or 2/3, ½, or speed for
slow-motion battle.

~Bonus 1 and 2 Practice Modes~
Choose your character and test your skills at the two Bonus Levels
found in the 1-Player game. The levels are different for each character,
so be sure to check them all out as you race for the best time!

~VS. MODE~
The VS. Mode is an all-out battle for any combination of two to
four human or computer players. Using the Control Stick, move the cursor
to the Rules option and select one of the following four settings by
scrolling left to right with the Control Stick.

Time- A timed free-for-all battle. The winner is the player with the
highest number of Knock-offs(KO's) after subtracting the total number of
times that the player was knocked-off(TKO).

Time Team- A timed team battle.

Stock- A free-for-all battle in which all contestants have a limited
stock of life. The last player standing is the winner.

Stock Team- A team battle in which all contestants have a limited stock
of life.

After selecting the rules, use the Control Stick to set the time
limit for timed battle, or set each character's stock life for a stock
battle.

~Options~
Enter the Options screen to change settings for the following:

Handicap- Turn the Handicap for players ON or OFF, or set it to AUTO to
have it determined by the computer. Change the actual Handicap setting
on the Player Select screen. The higher an opponents Handicap, the
easier it is to knock him off.

Team Attack- Choose whether or not team members can be hit by one
another's attacks in team battles.

Stage Select- Set to ON to select the battle stage yourself or OFF to
have the computer randomly select one for you.

Damage- Set the damage rate for attacks. At 50%, you knock your opponent
half as far.

Item Switch- Must be unlocked, it lets you choose what items can appear
and the frequency of appearance.

~VS Start~
Press the A Button when VS START is highlighted in the VS Game Mode
screen to enter the Character Select screen.

- Select Free-for-All or Team Battle.
- In Team Battle, assign characters to one of three teams(Red, Green, or
Blue).
- Set player control to human(HMN), computer(CP), or none(N/A).
- When the Handicap option is ON, set the Handicap for each human
player.
- Set the difficulty level for each computer player.

Press START to let the battle begin!

9) Combos
************************************************************************

~MARIO~

#1     This combo is used a lot. Somehow get one or more opponents
caught in a Mario Tornado. When they go flying up Super Jump Punch them.

#2     Keep throwing a barrage of Fireballs and this can become
difficult to escape from.

#3     Use the Mario Tornado and then let your opponent fall right back
into another Mario Tornado when they land.

#4     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~DONKEY KONG~

#1     This combo can be done under the arch in Hyrule Castle or under
the left pipe in the Mushroom Kingdom. Get your opponent into one of the
two areas mentioned above, and repeatedly use the Hand Slap. This is the
hardest combo to escape from in the game!
NOTE: The best way to escape this combo is to press Z as you touch the
ground to roll away.

#2     Use the Hand Slap and whoever gets affected by it, give them the
Overhead Hand Swat. Now use the Spinning Kong on them.

#3     This combo is an easy one to pull off. Just pick up your opponent
and throw them off the edge. Now start charging your Giant Punch and
when they come back give it to them. Repeat until dead.

#4     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~LINK~

#1     Get your opponent caught in an Upward Sword Smack then jump up
with an Upward Sword Stab. If they go high enough then throw a bomb up
at them.

#2     Keep throwing the Boomerang and your opponent might have a hard
time getting out of this combo. This usually doesn't work against
experienced players but against novices it can become frustrating for
them.

#3     Use the Downward Sword Stab when you and your opponent are high
in the air and then throw them. Set up a bomb and toss it at him. Now
throw your Boomerang.

#4     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~SAMUS~

#1     First do a Downward Kick and if your foe goes flying up then
Screw Attack them. When they come down give them an Upward Flamethrower.

#2     Keep shooting out small Charge Shots and that can become rather
annoying for your enemy.

#3     Charge you Charge Shot. Now run up to your opponent and Screw
Attack them. Now get underneath him and use the Upward Flamethrower.
Throw him to the nearest ledge and then blast them off with your Charge
Shot.

#4     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~YOSHI~

#1     Trap your opponent into an egg and then butt stomp them.

#2     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~KIRBY~

#1     Stand right beside your enemy facing him then pull off a Final
Cutter. It should hit 4 times!

#2     Suck your opponent in, spit them out, and immediately hold B
right after it. They should keep getting spit in and out.

#3     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~FOX~

#1     Keep firing off numerous Blaster Shots if you want to be
annoying.

#2     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~PIKACHU~

#1     Just tap B and the numerous Thunderjolts will be hard to escape
from.

#2     Stay on the lowest platform and keep using Thunder.

#3     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~LUIGI~

#1     Use a Luigi Cyclone than go up to hit them with a Super Jump
Punch(try to catch them on fire).

#2     Keep throwing out Fireballs to harass your opponents from a
distance.

#3     Keep using Luigi Cyclones over and over again.

#4     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

#1     Jump up and use the Falcon Grab. Now come in with the Falcon
Kick. If you think you can pull it off, then finish him with the Falcon
Punch.

#2     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.
NOTE: The Falcon Punch might also work as an infinite combo.

~NESS~

#1     Keep throwing PK Fire and when you want to end the combo, come in
with the Homerun Bat!

#2     Back your enemy into the corner and keep doing Yo-Yo tricks.

#3     Use PK Fire and smack yourself into your opponent with PK Thunder
while they're still stunned.

#4     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

~JIGGLYPUFF~

#1     First toss your opponent upward and do the Overhead Clap.

#2     This works better the higher in damage your opponent is. Use the
Sing attack followed by the Rest attack.

#3     Keep tapping A when your opponent is backed into a corner.

************************************************************************
10) Characters
************************************************************************

~MARIO~

Profile: Although best known as the mustachioed plumber who battles the
Turtle Tribe with his distinct jumping action, this internationally-
famous hero has acted as a referee, a driver, and even a doctor! He's
been linked to Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom for years, but to
this day their true relationship remains a mystery.

Symbol- A mushroom.
Stage- Peach's Castle.
Taunt- Grows up like Super Mario.

Costumes
C^- It'sa me, Mario!
C>- I'ma Wario! I'ma gonna win!
Cv- Yellow shirt, dark red pants/hat.
C<- SMB1 Mario! Red overalls, blue shirt/hat.

Pros
- Good jump height
- Excellent combo potential
- Damaging Throw
- Easy-to-time taunt(for the Fighter Stance bonus in 1P game)
Cons
- Low speed
- Low damage for individual hits
- Awkward fireball
- No real stomp attack
- Agonizingly long taunt(for team and multiplayer fights)

Comments
Mario is ranked #3 on my favourite characters listed only behind
Luigi and Samus. Mario however is better at combos than Luigi. Both
Mario and Luigi have great attacks that can do damage. Their jumping is
also great. Their speed is average. They both have great throws that can
do damage and have good distance.

How to Beat
Stay underneath Mario and use hits from below. Be careful for his
Super Jump Punch and Mario Tornado. Avoid his Fireballs. Hit him with
projectiles if you have some. Try to throw him when he is high in damage
or use a power hit.

Moves

Up+B- Super Jump Punch
Tip- Catch opponents using their downward aerial power-hits on you with
this move.

B- Fireball
Tip- Torture enemies by throwing these from a distance.

Down+B- Mario Tornado
Tip- Use this when your opponents come to close to you.

A, A, A- Multi-Punch
Tip- This is Mario's infinite combo.

Up+A- Head Butt
Tip- This is a good move for juggling while you are on the ground.

Down+A- Trip Kick
Tip- This is Mario's clearout attack.

Forward+A- Strong Punch
Tip- This big punch is a power hit.

Jump, Up+A- Flying Kick
Tip- Better at juggling than the Super Jump Punch, because of its better
recovery time.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Drill Kick
Tip- This move makes a way better downward aerial power-hit than the
Mario Tornado.

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- Good move to use when your foe is above and to the side of you.

~DONKEY KONG~

Profile: Donkey Kong and Mario started out as arch-rivals, but they've
patched things up in recent years. These days DK spends his time
searching the jungle for bananas instead of kidnapping beautiful
maidens. In the past few years, other members of the Kong family have
cashed in on DK's fame as well, including his favourite nephew, Diddy.

Symbol- the initials DK.
Stage- Congo Jungle.
Taunt- Throws his arms in the air and acts like he's confused.

Costumes
C^- Brown.
C>- Brillo Kong! Gray fur.
Cv- Red (bloody?) DK.
C<- Blue gorillas?? NOW I've seen EVERYTHING.

Pros
- Incredible strength
- Carrying ability
- Useful throw
- Cheap(see "useful") Down+B move
- Long limb range
Cons
- Nasty speed
- Large size
- No projectile
- Bad stomp attack(Down+A)

Comments
Donkey Kong has the greatest strength in the game. He is the only
character that can hold onto his opponents while walking. His speed is
the worst in the game though, and he has no projectile to hit from far
away from with. Still, strength is sometimes more useful than speed. He
ranks #8 on my list.

How to Beat
Donkey Kong is slow and he has no projectile so stay away and shoot
projectiles at him. Avoid the Giant Punch at all costs especially if
you're a light character(Pikachu, Kirby, Jigglypuff, Ness) or if you're
high in damage. If he gets close try to throw him. Donkey Kong is a big
target so don't worry too much.

Moves

Up+B- Spinning Kong
Tip- Donkey Kong can use this move to come back onto the playing field
as well as using it as an attack.

B- Giant Punch
Tip- Donkey Kong must charge his Giant Punch to get maximum power out of
it.

Down+B- Hand Slap
Tip- Using this move throws your opponents in the air stunned so that
you can hit them again

A, A, A- Flurry Punch
Tip- This is DK's infinite combo.

Up+A- Hand Clap
Tip- Not used often as my opponents never seem to be in that general
area.

Down+A- Spinning Kick
Tip- This is DK's best clearout attack.

Forward+A- Strong Punch
Tip- Not as strong as the Giant Punch but a strong punch none the less.

Jump, Up+A- Overhead Hand Swat
Tip- Good move for when your enemies are falling down.

Jump, Down+A- Stomp
Tip- Just what it sounds like, he stomps!

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- This is a good move to use when your opponent is above and to the
side of you.

~LINK~

Profile: Link is the valiant boy hero of the "Legend of Zelda" series in
which he fights against the evil Ganon to recover the Triforce. Though
his tools may change with each adventure, his strength and righteousness
remain constant. With his trusty sword and a variety of weapons, he
takes adventure head on!

Symbol- the triforce.
Stage- Hyrule Castle.
Taunt- Does a pose with his sword.

Costumes
C^- Kokiri Tunic.
C>- Goron Tunic.
Cv- Zora Tunic.
C<- Yeti Mail, I think from Zelda 1.

Pros
- Excellent stomp attack
- Two projectiles
- Good clearout
- Strong A attacks
- Long range throw
Cons
- Two awkward projectiles
- Bad air defense
- Awful jumping capabilities
- Hokey, hard to time taunt
- And did I mention he is bad jumper?

Comments
Link is a good fighter with strong sword attacks. His A attacks are
possibly the best in the game. His throw has long range but it has lag
time which can make it easy to escape. His two projectiles are both
awkward but they can be useful. Link however with all these strong
points is the worst jumper in the game. His Spinning Sword Slash gives
him almost no air time. Link ranks #5 on my list.

How to Beat
Link's biggest weakness is his jumping. If you try to hit him with
physical attacks than he can overpower them with his Spinning Sword
Slash. Use projectiles and dodge his Bombs and Boomerang. Stay away
because Link's main strength lies in his short range sword attacks.

Moves

Up+B- Spinning Sword Slash
Tip- This is not a very good comeback move, but it's the best comeback
move that Link has!

B- Boomerang
Tip- Since you can still walk around after you throw out your Boomerang
use this often.

Down+B- Bomb
Tip- Once you release a bomb, press A to throw it and it'll explode in
about 5 seconds, but press Down+B to throw it and it'll explode on
contact!

A, A, A- Rapid Sword Stabs
Tip- This is Link's infinite combo.

Up+A- Upward Sword Smack
Tip- If your opponent is in the right position this will hit multiple
times.

Down+A- Low Sword Swipe
Tip- This is Link's clearout attack.

Forward+A- Sword Swipe
Tip- Link takes a strong swipe with his sword.

Jump, Up+A- Upward Sword Stab
Tip- A great juggling move!

Jump, Down+A- Downward Sword Stab
Tip- A very strong move!

Jump, Forward+A- Flying Slash
Tip- This is a good move to use when your opponent is above and to the
side of you.

~SAMUS~

Profile: Samus Aran is the toughest bounty hunter in the galaxy. Using a
special suit powered by the technology of the bird people which allows
her to execute daring acrobatic feats, Samus pursues the airborne life
form Metroid through-out the universe.

Symbol- an S inside of a circle.
Stage- Planet Zebes.
Taunt- She poses with her gun.

Costumes
C^- Orange and yellow, with a green eyespace.
C>- Pink and yellow, blue eyespace.
Cv- Earth Samus! Brown and orange, green eye.
C<- All green with a red helmet? Where DO you get your fashion tips?!

Pros
- Insane jumping powers
- Long-range throw
- Excellent projectile
- Good rolling power
- Single most powerful attack(Up+A, timed right, does 40+%)
- High speed
Cons
- Weak bomb
- Slow throw
- No stomp attack
- Very cheap

Comments
Samus is not much of a close in fighter, but her special attacks
more than make up for it. She is a good jumper, she has my favourite
projectile in the game, and she also has the most damaging attack in the
game! Her bombs are weak and her throw has long range like Link's but
also like Link's it is slow and has some lag time. In the hands of a
master, Samus is one of the best and she ranks #4 on my list.
How to Beat

Samus is a very difficult opponent to beat. Stay low because her
bombs are weak and easy to avoid. Hit her with projectiles, dodge the
Charge Shot, and hit her from below. Whatever you do don't go directly
above her because that could put you in position for a Screw Attack or
even worse an Upward Flamethrower!

Moves

Up+B- Screw Attack
Tip- This move can be used to attack and to get back on the playing
field.

B- Charge Shot
Tip- Try to keep a charged shot whenever you can.

Down+B- Bomb
Tip- When fighting characters with bad upward aerial power-hits, just
jump in the air dropping bombs.

A, A, A- Triple Gun Ram
Tip- This is Samus' infinite combo.

Up+A- Upward Flamethrower
Tip- Damage wise, this is the best move in the game.

Down+A- Trip Kick
Tip- This is Samus' clearout attack.

Forward+A- Mega Punch
Tip- This move is hard to pull off but if it connects it can do good
damage. It is good to use when the opponent is stunned.

Jump, Up+A- Upward Kick
Tip- Use this move instead of the Screw Attack around edges because
after the Screw Attack, you don't have any more jumps, but after this
move you can still jump once after using it.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Kick
Tip- An awesome start to combos as it sometimes throws the enemy upward.

Jump, Forward+A- Downward Flamethrower
Tip- Use this when you're in the air and somebody is trying to jump up
and hit you.

~YOSHI~

Profile: Yoshi is the friendly dinosaur of Yoshi's Island. He began as
Mario's partner, but has since built his own identity, and now appears
in many games. He uses his unique ability to turn whatever he swallows
into an egg as his foremost attack. Yoshis come in a rainbow of colours
and are said to have a high IQ from a very early age.

Symbol- an egg.
Stage- Yoshi's Island.
Taunt- Waves his arms saying "Yoshi".

Costumes
C^- Green Yoshi.
C>- Red Yoshi! In SMB, this one could breathe fire.
Cv- Blue, the flying Yoshi, dang that would have ruled here.
C<- Yellow. This one kicked up dust when it landed. Yawn. Still, okay
here.

Pros
- Damaging attacks
- Quick taunt
- Long-range throw
- High double-jump
Cons
- Bad projectile
- Slow
- No triple jump
- Hard to learn

Comments
Yoshi is not a very good character at all and ranks #11 on my list.
His throw is long range but not as long a range as Link's or Samus'. He
has the highest double jump in the game but no triple jump. However,
those good points don't make up for the facts that he has a bad
projectile, he is weak, and he has low speed. I do not recommend Yoshi
at all.

How to Beat
Yoshi doesn't have many strong attacks so don't worry about that.
If you see catch him using his double jump than try to smack him off the
edge before he touches the ground and he will be helpless. He has a
sorry excuse for a projectile so just hit him with yours if you have
one.

Moves

Up+B- Egg Bomb
Tip- This move requires timing to work.

B- Egg Lay
Tip- Once your foe is in an egg, attack the egg and they will take
damage.

Down+B- Butt Drop
Tip- This is a strong downward aerial power-hit.

A, A, A- Triple Kick
Tip- This is Yoshi's infinite combo.

Up+A- Head Butt
Tip- I prefer the Flying Flip Kick, but this move can juggle too.

Down+A- Tail Swipe
Tip- This is Yoshi's clearout attack.

Forward+A- Head bash
Tip- This move has some lag time but it's worth it.

Jump, Up+A- Flying Flip Kick
Tip- Yoshi's best juggling move.

Jump, Down+A- Flurry Kicks
Tip- This is a good move that can do good damage.

Jump, Forward+A- Flying Head Butt
Tip- Used often as there seems to be an opponent on a platform above and
to the side of me a lot.

~KIRBY~

Profile: The 8-inch high Kirby hails from a distant, peaceful star. Like
his simplistic appearance, he is an easily-understood character. True to
his instincts, Kirby eats when he gets hungry and sleeps as soon as he
grows tired. Nevertheless, Kirby remains a formidable opponent. In
addition to his distinct flying and swallowing skills, he also has the
ability to copy enemy attacks for ever-changing action.

Symbol- a star
Stage- Dreamland
Taunt- Waves his arms and says "Hi".

Costumes
C^- Pink Kirby.
C>- Yellow Kirby! Beam ability, anyone?
Cv- Blue (Ice) this time. Personally, I liked a different ability
better.
C<- Fire Kirby! Where's that cool (hot?) flaming hat???

Pros
- Invincibility attack
- Power absorbtion
- Sextuple (or whatever) jumps
- Quick attacks
- Small size
Cons
- Long windup
- No good clearout
- Cheap
- Knocked out easily

Comments
Kirby is a formidable fighter and he ranks #6 on my list. He is
invincible while in the Stone except for throws and the hammer. He can
absorb his opponents B button move by sucking them in. His attacks are
quick and he can puff up giving him multiple jumps. However, he is
knocked out easily therefore giving him a big disadvantage in
multiplayer matches.

How to Beat
Kirby is very light so use lots of throws and power hits. Don't let
him steal your B button attack and avoid Stone and Final Cutter the best
that you can. His strongest attacks have long windup so try to hit him
before he can pull them off.

Moves

Up+B- Final Cutter
Tip- If Kirby's multiple jumps just aren't enough to make it back to the
playing field, than use this for a slight boost.

B- Swallow
Tip- Once in your mouth, press A to spit out opponent or B to steal
their B button move.

Down+B- Stone
Tip- Jump over your opponent and use this for big damage!

A, A, A- Flurry Punch
Tip- Kirby has the easiest infinite combo to pull off.

Up+A- Flip Kick
Tip- A juggling move but it must be executed on the ground.

Down+A- Splits Kick
Tip- This doesn't have much range but it's quick.

Forward+A- Strong Kick
Tip- This kick is a smash attack.

Jump, Up+A- Spin
Tip- This hits enemies from all sides of you.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Drill Kick
Tip- This can combo a few times.

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- This is a good move to use when your opponent is above and to the
side of you.

~FOX~

Profile: Following in his dead father's footsteps as the young leader of
the Starfox team, Fox McCloud's piloting of the super-high performance
combat ship Arwing for the Lylatian System is still fresh in our
memories. His one weakness may be his difficulty earning the trust of
his teammates.

Symbol- a fox with wings.
Stage- Sector Z.
Taunt- Crosses his arms and says "humph".

Costumes
C^- White vest/boots, green pants.
C>- Orange vest/boots, brown pants.
Cv- Pink boots, purple vest, violet pants, oooookay.
C<- Green vest, black pants, and, blood red boots??

Pros
- Speed
- A cheap blaster move
- Good jumps
Cons
- No strong moves
- Dumb throw
- Nerve-grinding windups

Comments
Fox is not a very good character, he ranks #9 on my list. He the
second fastest character and he has good jumping skills. His Blaster
Shot is also fast, but he does not have any strong moves so you will
have to rely on items or combos and juggling. His throw isn't good
either.

How to Beat
Fox is fast but he is pretty weak so just go heavy on power hits.
Attack from below because he has no good stomp attack. Experienced Fox
players will use the Reflector so be cautious when using projectiles. If
he is charging you than he probably won't have time to put up his
Reflector so it will be okay to use projectiles.

Moves

Up+B- Firefox
Tip- A bad attack but a very good comeback move.

B- Blaster Shot
Tip- This is Fox's best weapon, use it to your advantage.

Down+B- Reflector
Tip- Use this move and any projectiles that hit you will be reflected.

A, A, A- Flurry Kicks
Tip- This is Fox's infinite combo.

Up+A- Flip Kick
Tip- It can juggle but the Upward Kick is preferred over this.

Down+A- Splits
Tip- Hits on both sides of Fox.

Forward+A- Strong Kick
Tip- This is a power hit, and it can knock opponents a good ways.

Jump, Up+A- Upward Kick
Tip- Like most characters, this is Fox's juggling move.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Drill Kick
Tip- A good downward aerial power-hit.

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- This is good to use when your opponent is above and to the left of
you.

~PIKACHU~

Profile: Pikachu
        Mouse PKMN
        Height 1'4"
        Weight 13 lbs.
When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build
and cause lightning storms.

Symbol- a pokéball.
Stage- Saffron City.
Taunt- waves and says "Pika Pika".

Costumes
C^- Normal yellow Pikachu.
C>- Aww, Pikachu's got a red birthday hat!
Cv- How about a blue hat instead?
C<- Weird, green tinted Pikachu with a bright green hat.

Pros
- Speed
- Unique projectile
- Small size
- Good jumper
- Cool throws
Cons
- Bad defense
- Fairly low damage

Comments
I used to like him just because he is so cute but he isn't much of
a great multiplayer fighter as he ranks #10 on my list. I set up a
tournament with only CPU characters and to my surprise Pikachu came
second! Luigi came first, Kirby came third, and Ness came fourth. The
computer is good with him, but I don't know anybody who plays good with
him. He is fast, a good jumper, and he has some strong attacks. His bad
defense makes him a bad multiplayer character though.

How to Beat
Pikachu is light so go heavy on throws and power hits. Don't go
above him or else he will Thunder you. The Thunderjolt can sometimes be
hard to avoid but try the best that you can. The Double Quick Attack is
a good move and when you see him using it than try to hit him off and he
will be helpless.

Moves

Up+B- Quick Attack
Tip- Press B and another direction after the first Quick Attack to do a
Double Quick Attack.

B- Thunderjolt
Tip- If you use this in the air it will be a ball of electricity.

Down+B- Thunder
Tip- This is actually Pikachu's best juggling move.

A, A, A- Triple Head Butt
Tip- This is Pikachu's infinite combo.

Up+A- Tail Flip
Tip- An okay juggling move, but Pikachu has better ones.

Down+A- Trip Kick
Tip- This is Pikachu's clearout attack.

Forward+A- Thundershock
Tip- There is some lag time before the shock, and this is sometimes hard
to pull off.

Jump, Up+A- Overhead Tail Swipe
Tip- Not as good a juggling move as Thunder but is sometimes needed to
be used.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Electric Drill
Tip- Pretty much the same as the Electric Drill only it is going
downward.

Jump, Forward+A- Electric Drill
Tip- This is probably the best sideways drill move in the game.
be used instead.

~LUIGI~

Profile: Though often hidden in his older brother Mario's shadow, Luigi
is, in reality, very popular. Taller than Mario, Luigi also jumps
higher. Although he didn't appear in Super Mario 64, in Mario Kart 64 he
performed to the best of his ability. For one who always seems to be in
the background, he has many fans who eagerly await his appearance.

Symbol- a mushroom.
Stage- Peach's Castle.
Taunt- scuffs his heel.

Costumes
C^- Good ol' green and royal blue Luigi.
C>- Fire Luigi! Hopefully those are just yellow gloves.
Cv- Aquatic Luigi, aqua and blue. Not bad.
C<- Um, Pink Luigi. I could say something else, but it's not very nice.

Pros
- Flaming Jump Punch
- High jumping
- High power
Cons
- Low speed
- Little chaining
- too similar to Mario

Comments
Luigi is a great fighter and he ranks #2 on my favourite characters
list just behind the all powerful Samus. Luigi is not as good at combos
as Mario who ranks #3. Both Luigi and Mario have great attacks that can
do damage. Their jumping is also great. Their speed is average. They
both have great throws that can do damage and have good distance.

How to Beat
Luigi is one of the hardest characters to beat in the hands of a
master. Avoid his Fireballs. Stay low and avoid the Super Jump Punch
especially if your opponent knows how to catch you on fire. The Luigi
Cyclone isn't too much of a problem if you stay low. Hit him from below
and avoid his B button attacks the best you can.

Moves

Up+B- Super Jump Punch
Tip- If you're touching the opponent as you execute this than they will
catch on fire.

B- Fireball
Tip- Unlike Mario's Fireball, Luigi's Fireball goes straight.

Down+B- Luigi Cyclone
Tip- This doesn't combo as much as the Mario Tornado, but is still
considered a power-hit.

A, A, A- Flurry Punch
Tip- This is Luigi's infinite combo.

Up+A- Head Butt
Tip- This is a good juggling move, but Luigi has better ones.

Down+A- Trip Kick
Tip- This is Luigi's clearout attack.

Forward+A- Strong Punch
Tip- This big punch is a power hit.

Jump, Up+A- Flying Kick
Tip- Better at juggling than the Super Jump Punch unless the Super Jump
Punch catches fire.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Drill Kick
Tip- This is a good substitute for the Luigi Cyclone.

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- This move should be used when your opponent is above and to the
side of you.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

Profile: A regular pilot in the great galactic race F-ZERO Grand Prix,
Captain Falcon is skilled at collecting prize money. Much about his past
remains hidden in shadow, but it's clear that many a villain hold a
powerful grudge against him.

Symbol- a falcon.
Stage- N/A
Taunt- says "Show me your moves".

Costumes
C^- Blue and red Falcon.
C>- Gray. Much more fitting.
Cv- Blood Falcon! Red on purple.
C<- *blinks* White on pink! G'yaah!

Pros
- FAST!
- Good jumper
- Powerful B move
- Cool
Cons
- Long recovery
- Long windup
- No projectile

Comments
Captain Falcon ranks #4 on my list and he is a good fighter. He is
the fastest character in the game! His attacks do a lot of damage, and
he is a good jumper. He has no projectile and has long recovery and
windup so his strongest attacks are hard to pull off. He is a good
fighter nonetheless though.

How to Beat
You must be quick here or he will walk all over you. Use
projectiles because Captain Falcon doesn't have any. Avoiding the Falcon
Punch should be easy. Watch out for the Falcon Kick while juggling it
can sometimes penetrate your juggle. The Falcon Grab is totally
underestimated so watch out for it.

Moves

Up+B- Falcon Grab
Tip- Also used as a comeback move, if this connects, Falcon will set
them on fire and throw them away.

B- Falcon Punch
Tip- A very strong move but their is some lag time before the actual
punch so don't use unless the opponent is stunned.

Down+B- Falcon Kick
Tip- This move is fast and it shoots Falcon across the screen.

A, A, A- Flurry Fists
Tip- This is Captain Falcon's infinite combo.

Up+A- Uppercut
Tip- An good juggling move.

Down+A- Sweep Kick
Tip- This is Captain Falcon's clearout attack.

Forward+A- Flaming Kick
Tip- A good move and it's fast too.

Jump, Up+A- Flip Kick
Tip- Yes, this is Captain Falcon's juggling move.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Kick
Tip- This is a very good downward aerial power-hit.

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- This is best used when your enemy is above and to the side of you.

~NESS~

Profile: Ness was a seemingly-average kid from Onett, but in truth, he
was destined for much more. When a strange meteorite landed near his
hometown, the little boy with psychic powers set out to save the world.
Little has been said of Ness' character, and much remains hidden.

Symbol- an earth.
Stage- N/A
Taunt- Bows and says "OK".

Costumes
C^- Classic Ness, red, purple, and yellow.
C>- Cool, Charlie Brown! Yellow and Black.
CV- Purple and Blue. Doesn't look bad, actually.
C<- Orange and green. Burns the eyes a little, y'know?

Pros
- Good specials
- Unpredictable jump
- Strong A attacks
- Built in life recovery
Cons
- Slow
- Awkward triple
- Very hard to learn

Comments
Ness used to be my favourite fighter in the game. His special
attacks are great but they leave him vulnerable. His PK shield is very
useful especially against characters like Fox who rely on their
projectiles to be good. PK Thunder is the cheapest and most useful
attack in the game. He is a good jumper, but he is slow and his triple
jump is awkward. He ranks #7 on my list.

How to Beat
Ness is hard to master so if your opponent isn't skilled than this
should be a piece of cake. If he is an expert however than it won't be
pretty. If he tries to save himself from falling off the edge with the
PK Thunder than try to throw a projectile at the PK Thunder to stop it
from hitting him.

Moves

Up+B- PK Thunder
Tip- Once you send out a PK Thunder, use the control stick to steer it
around.

B- PK Fire
Tip- Good move for stunning enemies.

Down+B- PK Shield
Tip- When enemies shoot projectiles at you, use this move to absorb the
damage and lower your damage. Does not work with all projectiles.

Up+A- Vertical Yo-Yo
Tip- This move is good for clearing out and juggling.

Down+A- Horizontal Yo-Yo
Tip- This has longer range than the Vertical Yo-Yo.

Forward+A- Homerun Bat
Tip- Use this as a power move to knock your opponents out of the arena
when they're high in damage.

Jump, Up+A- Flying Head Butt
Tip- Another good move for juggling.

Jump, Down+A- Downward Kick
Tip- Use this move when your opponent is down below you.

Jump, Forward+A- Flying Punch
Tip- Use this when the enemy is above and to the side of you.

~JIGGLYPUFF~

Profile: The Balloon PKMN with the big round eyes. It sings a soothing
melody, sending those who hear it to sleep. As a Balloon PKMN, it's body
is light, weak, and easy to knock away.

Symbol- a pokéball.
Stage- Saffron City.
Taunt- rolls and says "Jigglypuff".

Costumes
C^- Normal pink Jiggles.
C>- Hmm, a she! Red bow on old Puffy.
Cv- How 'bout a blue bow?
C<- Or green?

Pros
- Flying ability
- Sing attack
- To B power hits
- Huge, cute eyes
Cons
- Weak
- No triple
- No projectile

Comments
Jigglypuff is in my opinion the worst character in the game and she
ranks #12. She is a good juggler and she has multiple jumps. Her Sing
attack is way overrated. Jigglypuff is weak, easy to knock away, and she
has no triple jump. Don't bother with Jigglypuff unless you want a
challenge.

How to Beat
Experienced Jigglypuff players are good at juggling but if they're
not than prepare to kick ass! Just use lots of throws and power hits to
get rid of this air bag. Jigglypuff also has multiple jumps so you have
to smash her hard in order to kill her. This should be a piece of cake.

Moves

Up+B- Sing
Tip- Puts opponent to sleep!

B- Pound
Tip- This has some lag time but it's not a bad move.

Down+B- Rest
Tip- Don't use unless your opponent is high in damage, and it's a 1 on 1
match.

A, A, A- Flurry Punches
Tip- This is Jigglypuff's infinite combo.

Up+A- Head Butt
Tip- This is one of Jigglypuff's juggling moves.

Down+A- Splits Kick
Tip- Jigglypuff's best clearout attack.

Forward+A- Low Kick
Tip- This kick is a power hit.

Jump, Up+A- Overhead Clap
Tip- A great juggling move!

Jump, Down+A- Downward Drill Kick
Tip- Just your average Downward Drill Kick.

Jump, Forward+A- Drill Kick
Tip- This is a good move to use when your opponent is above and to the
side of you.

Thanks to Jdude84 for the idea of making a separate walkthrough for
all 12 characters.

~MARIO~

MARIO VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
This fight is so easy. Just keep throwing Fireballs until Link
comes near you. Once he is close to you get him caught in a Mario
Tornado. Now give him a Super Jump Punch. Now throw Link to the side and
use any moves that you want to knock him off. The tornado isn't too much
of a threat here but if you can throw Link into it.

MARIO VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
This fight is even easier. Don't be intimidated by their numbers,
they go flying with one little hit. Super Jump Punches work best, as do
most A button attacks. Don't bother with Mario Tornadoes they take too
long to do.

MARIO VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
This is the first difficult fight. Be careful when using Fireballs
because on the higher difficulties he will reflect them back at you. If
the Arwing comes just throw him and hope he gets shot. Fox is good at
juggling so don't let him. Just get him caught in a Mario Tornado and
when he goes flying up make him fall right into another Mario Tornado
and he won't be able to escape if you keep doing that.

MARIO VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for you on this one. At the start
Super Jump Punch Luigi. Now just stand back using your Fireballs. If you
follow this method, by the time your ally dies, Mario and/or Luigi will
be high in damage so you can just throw them off. If you prefer to bash
around with them than use the Mario Tornado followed by a Super Jump
Punch combo.

MARIO VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Stay under him so that he can't Thunder you. He tends to use
Thunderjolt a lot which can become annoying. He doesn't have a good
projectile so one trick is to hang back throwing Fireballs. Juggling him
shouldn't be too hard because his Down+B move hits above him and not
below him. I suggest just using a lot of throws.

MARIO VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for this battle. This fight
will be easy if you just stick to one strategy. Hang back using
Fireballs. Giant DK's damage usually sores to the 200% range quickly so
don't be afraid to throw in a Mario Tornado or Super Jump Punch here and
here and there. Your main weapon here should be the Fireballs.

MARIO VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
These air bags can get annoying using their copied projectile
attacks. Just throw these marshmallows away! They might not get launched
with one throw so be sure to damage them a bit first. On the higher
difficulties they are the most annoying cream puffs around.

MARIO VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
This is possibly the hardest 1 Player Mode fight. When going for
Ness this is always the one that I lose a life on. Try to throw her into
the acid. Use the Mario Tornado followed by a Super Jump Punch combo
often. Stay on the top 3 platforms so that you have time to jump to the
top when the acid rises. Be very aggressive.

MARIO VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
At the beginning he will just be walking across the top platform so
keep giving him Super Jump Punches. When he drops to the bottom keeping
throwing Fireballs from away. Items like the Fire Flower are very useful
here.

MARIO VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
When going for Ness they sometimes do a lot of damage to you before
you can smash them off. Don't worry though, they go flying easily. Just
use the Super Jump Punch and you'll be fine. There are usually a couple
health items that come up on this stage and always at least one.

MARIO VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
While he is attacking you throw Fireballs if you can. Use a lot of
Mario Tornadoes because they combo a lot. You can block most attacks but
some need to be dodged. Super Jump Punches are also a good choice. This
match is probably where the shield comes in handy the most. Some attacks
need to be shielded against to avoid. This isn't as hard as it looks if
you play it smart.

~DONKEY KONG~

DONKEY KONG VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Just keep charging your Giant Punch and hitting Link with it. He
shouldn't take very long to defeat if you just stick to Giant Punches
and throws. Watch out for the tornado although it shouldn't be too much
trouble. A very easy fight.

DONKEY KONG VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
This is possibly the easiest fight in the game. Just keep using
Spinning Kongs and you'll be okay. The only problem is a very slight
one. If you're using Spinning Kongs around the edge you might
accidentally Spinning Kong yourself right off the edge because after you
do one Spinning Kong you have to touch the ground before you can do
another jump.

DONKEY KONG VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
I find that the best way to keep Fox from hitting you is to
continuously use Spinning Kongs. Try to use throws a lot. If you throw
him off the edge than charge your Giant Punch and run to the edge. If he
comes back just pound him right back off.

DONKEY KONG VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for this fight. Right of the bat
throw Mario. Then jump up and Spinning Kong Luigi. Run to the side and
charge your Giant Punch while your ally keeps them busy. Now run up to
one of them and give them your Giant Punch. Repeat until they're both
gone. Mixing a few Spinning Kongs or throws in is good. Try using the
Hand Slap when they're under the bumper and they might hit it and go
flying away.

DONKEY KONG VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Spinning Kongs work well here. Don't bother with Hand Slaps since
Pikachu is in the air most of the time anyway. Stay under him and don't
let his electric attacks hit you. Throwing a lot is probably the best
way to take care of this mouse.

DONKEY KONG VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for you this time. Charge your
Giant Punch from far back and keep giving it to him. His damage should
go up fast and when it's high just finish him with a Giant Punch. Not
too hard if you stay back and move in with the Giant Punch.

DONKEY KONG VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
All I can say is one throw from Donkey Kong will finish each and
every Kirby that you'll face. Spinning Kongs are effective as well. With
the Giant Punch there is no mercy! Be careful of their Final Cutter,
Stone, and copied attacks. Basically just stay on the offensive.

DONKEY KONG VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
Sometimes a very hard fight. The Giant Punch works great here. Hand
Slaps are handy when you want to slow her down. Throwing her into the
acid is the easiest means of defeating her. Hand Slaps are also good for
setting up an Overhead Hand Swat or a Drill Kick.

DONKEY KONG VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
At the start keep using Hand Claps or Overhead Hand Swats. Now just
keep using the Giant Punch. Donkey Kong's ability to walk while he is
holding somebody is very useful here. If you're going for Captain Falcon
just walk off the edge with him to save you time. This method is
strongly not recommended for getting Ness though.

DONKEY KONG VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
You can get the Single Move bonus with Spinning Kongs here easily.
The Giant Punch isn't necessary for any of them. Throws will work just
as well as Spinning Kongs but I like to use Spinning Kongs better
because I can hit two or three with one Spinning Kong. A hard fight on
the later difficulties.

DONKEY KONG VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
The Giant Punch is the best tool here but if you're looking for a
quick move that you can pull of in seconds try Hand Claps or Overhead
Hand Swats. Use the shield for most attacks but a few need to be dodged.
Don't worry though because they're easy to avoid. This glove is way
overrated.

~LINK~

LINK VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
He won't move for the first few seconds so you can throw a few
bombs at him to start. Once he starts moving use your Downward Sword
Stab a lot because it is a very powerful attack. Don't underestimate the
Boomerang when trying to slow him down while you set up a Bomb. Throw
him off the edge after a few hits because he won't take long.

LINK VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Just use anything but the Boomerang and Bombs. The Yoshis go flying
easily so don't even worry about them. These Yoshis are even worse then
a level 1 CPU Yoshi in multiplayer mode! Heck there is 18 of them! The
Upward Sword Stab is probably my most used attack here.

LINK VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
This fight is probably the easiest with Link because the Downward
Sword Stab can penetrate Fox's juggles. If he tries to juggle you use
the Downward Sword Stab. One good tactic is to run to the side and set
up a bomb because Fox's Reflector doesn't work on Link's Bombs. If he
jumps in the air try to juggle him with the Upward Sword Stab. When he
is high in damage throw him off.

LINK VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for you. Throw Mario right of the
bat. Now jump up and give Luigi your Upward Sword Stab. Keep juggling
Luigi with the Upward Sword Stab and hope that Mario doesn't interfere.
When Luigi is high in damage throw him. Now double team Mario. With one
brother gone the other shouldn't be too tough.

LINK VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Just juggle this mouse like there is now tomorrow! Don't even think
of using the Downward Sword Stab or he'll Thunder you. Throw a bomb at
him if he is far away. He should be easy to throw off at about 80%
damage.

LINK VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for you this time. Just stand
back throwing bombs and you'll be fine. The Downward Sword Stab also
works well because Giant DK is big. Throw him at about 200% damage.
Giant DK is way overrated.

LINK VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Just throw them a few times each. You might want to get a little
damage on the first though because Link's throw won't kill a Kirby at 0%
with one throw. Don't bother with Bomb's and the Boomerang here just use
power hits. Link's Spinning Sword Slash is great for this level. Not too
hard but these Kirbys use their copied attacks a lot and that can really
bug you.

LINK VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
The Downward Sword Stab is very handy here if it hits multiple
times. This is not a very good fight to be Link as. If Samus is on the
top platform than juggle her with the Upward Sword Stab. Throwing her
into the acid is your best bet for defeating her.

LINK VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Right of the bat use the Upward Sword Stab. You won't want to use
that move very many times though because Metal Mario is virtually
impossible to juggle. Bombs are very useful as is the Boomerang. He is
slow so just stay away and you'll be fine.

LINK VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
These guys go flying with everything except the Boomerang. Don't
use Bombs because they take too long to set up. Link's different sword
attacks will do just fine in this fight. Be sure not to let any of these
guys get the Maxim Tomatoes before you because they are very handy here.

LINK VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
My first choice of weapon is the Upward Sword Stab. My second
choice is the Spinning Sword Slash. Most of his attacks can be shielded
against but a few need to be dodged. This fight is definitely not the
hardest fight, because half the time his is just floating harmlessly.

~SAMUS~

SAMUS VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
As the match starts charge your Charge Shot and pump a fully
charged one into Link. Now run up to him and give him your Screw Attack.
Now run underneath the bottom platform in the center of the stage. If
Link jumps on the one above you then give him an Upward Flamethrower, if
not then run to the side and start charging. When he comes to you throw
him off the edge when he tries to come back blast your shot into him.

SAMUS VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
All I can say is Screw Attack, Screw Attack, Screw Attack! These
Yoshis will go flying even if the Screw Attack only hits them once or
twice. That is the only move you will need guaranteed!

SAMUS VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
Jump up to the top of the tail fin and drop bombs. They will roll
right down the fin and hit Fox. Now run to the side and charge your
Charge Shot. Run up to him and shoot it at him, but right after you do
that jump in the air in case he reflects it back at you. Now use the
Screw Attack a lot. Throw him off or into the Arwing when he is high in
damage.

SAMUS VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer gives you a random ally for this battle. Throw Mario
right away. Now go Screw Attack Luigi. Basically for this fight stay on
the bottom and Screw Attack those above you. The Charge Shot should be
used to blast them away when they are at high damage but if their damage
is really high, don't bother and just throw them.

SAMUS VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
The Screw Attack will come in handy here because you want to stay
underneath Pikachu to avoid his Thunder attack. Samus can throw Pikachu
far so do that a lot. If he is falling down from above you after being
hit than do the Upward Flamethrower for big damage.

SAMUS VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer will pick two random allies for this fight. This is an
easy fight if you just stay away firing Charge Shots into him. When he
is at around 200% a Charge Shot will finish him. Projectiles are the
sure way to defeat Giant DK.

SAMUS VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
The Screw Attack can often shake the stolen powers out of these
Kirbys if it doesn't kill them first. Throw to guarantee a kill for each
one.

SAMUS VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
This can be a hard fight unless you play it smart. Jump above her
dropping bombs so that the acid doesn't hit you. When she is at about
70% damage keep repeatedly throwing her into the acid and hope that she
gets roasted and toasted around.

SAMUS VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Right off the start use a bunch of Upward Flamethrowers to get
Metal Mario high in damage. He should be easy to throw after about 5.
You could probably beat him in less than a minute using this method. I
just thought of that while I am writing this and I wonder why I hadn't
tried that before.

SAMUS VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
The Screw Attack is a one hit KO here so try to get the Single Move
bonus. On the higher difficulties these guys can be very offensive and
it will be necessary to get the health items. It is mostly a test of
your endurance.

SAMUS VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
One of the easiest fights if you just keep using the Upward
Flamethrower. This and Metal Mario are the easiest using that tactic.
Dodge or block his attacks are the key to defense here, and the Upward
Flamethrower provides the offense.

~YOSHI~

YOSHI VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
First put Link into an egg and then do a Butt Drop on him. Repeat
that until he is about 65% damage and than keep throwing him. When he is
trying to come back use the Egg Bomb attack. He should be easy to throw
Link because Yoshi has a good throw.

YOSHI VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Use a lot of throws and they'll beat them easily. They go flying
easily so don't bother damaging them first. It may seem unfair at first
but you'll quickly find out that it's not.

YOSHI VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
Use the Egg Lay followed by a Butt Drop combo a lot here to rack up
damage. At about 55% damage keep throwing him to the left side. After a
few throws he will be finished. If he tries to come back hit him with
the Egg Bomb move.

YOSHI VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for this match. Start by throwing
Mario. Now hit Luigi with an Egg Bomb. Keep staying on the bottom and
use Egg Bomb a lot. Use the Egg Lay, Butt Drop combo if you're having
trouble racking up damage. Throw them when they're high in damage.

YOSHI VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Just keep throwing him over and over again to ensure his defeat.
Don't use the Butt Drop too much or he'll Thunder you. Try to get him
near the door where pokémon come out and hope he gets tossed around.
Pikachu is in the air a lot so use the Egg Bomb.

YOSHI VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for this fight. This fight is
hard as Yoshi because he has no good projectiles. Use the Egg Lay a lot
and Egg Bomb him from far away to get his damage up. You're really going
to have to rely on your teammates a lot here.

YOSHI VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Easy. Just throw them all and they'll go flying. Watch out for
their copied attacks because they get annoying fast. Avoid the Stone and
Final Cutter by dashing away. They go flying easily so just stay on the
offensive.

YOSHI VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
This is a very hard fight to be Yoshi on. Start off with an Egg
Bomb and try to aim it at her. Now trap her in an egg and use the Butt
Drop. Repeat until 80% damage. Then throw her into the acid. Watch out
for the acid yourself by staying on the top platform. The Butt Drop
comes in handy a lot here because it is best to stay high.

YOSHI VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
I think the best way is to keep using the Butt Drop until he is
about 100% damage. You will probably get hit by a Super Jump Punch or
two if you use this method but it still works. Here is a good tactic for
this stage. Wait by the edge facing Metal Mario. When he walks up to you
use the Egg Lay and if you were close enough to the edge than the egg
will fall right down the hole!

YOSHI VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
3 moves work good here. Flying Flip Kicks, Butt Drops, and Flying
Head Butts. On the later difficulties you will need to pick up the
health items that pop up and they will pop up. This is a big test of
endurance.

YOSHI VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Use a combination of all attacks like Butt Drops, Flying Head Butts
and all sorts of strong power hits. You can shield against most things
but a few attacks must be dodged. No items appear here so don't rely on
them. Just smash him up until his 300 HP is gone.

~KIRBY~

KIRBY VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Don't steal Link's Boomerang you won't need it. Get Link caught in
the Final Cutter combo that hits 4 times. Once Link is out in the open
with no platforms above him than use the Stone on him. If he ever lands
beside the arch than back him into the corner and tap A to do Kirby's
infinite combo. When he is 100% damage throw him off.

KIRBY VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Just throw them or do Drill Kicks. Final Cutters work well too.
Don't bother to play defensively just stay on the offense the whole time
and they'll be gone before you know it. Don't bother with the Stone
they'll die from almost any attack anyway. Don't steal their Egg Lay
attack it is useless anyway.

KIRBY VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
First steal Fox's Blaster Shot. Now jump above him and use Stone.
Run to the side and fire Blaster Shots at him until he comes close. Than
throw him to the side. Shoot Blaster Shots at him while he is trying to
come back. If he does make it back then Stone him. Don't let him juggle
you because that is his main strength.

KIRBY VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks random ally for this match. Steal Mario's
Fireball not Luigi's. Now use the Final Cutter and try to hit Luigi. Run
to the side where nobody is and launch Fireballs from there. Try to
Stone them while they are double teaming your ally. If one of them comes
after you throw him.

KIRBY VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Just throw him and use power-hits. Pikachu is tricky but his timing
is awful so just pound down on him and throw him. On the lower
difficulties it is okay to use stone, but on the higher ones he will
Thunder you if you try.

KIRBY VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for this battle. First steal
Giant DK's Giant Punch. Now keep charging your Giant Punch and run up to
him and hit him. The Giant Punch can finish him easily if he is high in
damage. Try the Final Cutter combo if you want to keep him from hitting
you.

KIRBY VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
If they are annoying you with their copied attacks then steal them
from them and use them yourself if you want to or just get rid of them.
Throws should do it, as should Stone. Power-hits will send them flying
so that's really all you need.

KIRBY VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
Start off by stealing her Charge Shot. Now jump up to the top and
start charging your Charge Shot. Go back down and blast her. Now try to
stone her. Keep hitting her with Charged Shots to keep her away. The
Final Cutter combo works great her. Try to throw her into the acid.

KIRBY VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
You can't steal his Fireballs so don't try. Keep using Stone
because it is Kirby's most damaging attack. Throw him off at about 200%
damage. Items come in handy here!

KIRBY VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Most A button attacks will kill them. The health items are
important here on the higher difficulties. They go flying easier than
the Kirbys and Yoshis so don't worry about their numbers. The Stone
guarantees their defeat, and so do throws.

KIRBY VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Don't bother with the Stone, it does a lot of damage but it takes
too long to get out of. If you have time try to use Stone to block all
attacks instead of the shield. Wouldn't it be cool if you could steal
one of his attacks?! Use the Final Cutter on him, and try to make it hit
multiple times.

~FOX~

FOX VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Keep firing Blaster Shots at the start until he starts moving. When
he jumps in the air, juggle him like a bowling pin. When he is high in
damage kick him to the side. Try to throw him into the tornado if you
can.

FOX VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Just use Upward and Downward Kicks for all of them. They go flying
so easily that you barely need to touch them. The B button moves are
unnecessary here because they aren't power hits. Throws work just as
well too.

FOX VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
Reflect his Blaster Shots back at him, and don't let him reflect
yours. The easiest way to get rid of Fox is too keep throwing him. If
the Arwing comes try to throw him into the line of fire, and if you
succeed than his defeat is almost ensured.

FOX VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for this match. Throw Mario at the
start. Now give Luigi an Upward Kick. Run to the side and fire off as
many Blaster Shots as you can. Try to throw them at the ramp on the side
of the level and they will fall back down beside you where you can throw
them again. Reflect their Fireballs back at them.

FOX VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Just give him all the power hits and throws you can. You can
sometimes get the Pacifist award on this fight because Pikachu tends to
mess up the Double Quick Attack move. Don't bother for the bonus though
and just hit him as hard as you can.

FOX VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for you in this fight. This is
a good level to be Fox on. Just stand back firing Blaster Shots at him
and you'll be fine. Throw him when he is high in damage and he will get
high in damage fast too because he has two fighters to fend off with a
Fox shooting at him on the other side of the screen!

FOX VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Fox is one of the weaker characters and he isn't exactly the best
for fighting the teams but if you play it smart you can smash these
marshmallows into oblivion with moves like the Upward Kick and Downward
Kick. Don't let them use their projectiles on you. Also use a lot of
throws.

FOX VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
Reflect her Charge Shots back at her (heh heh) and use your Blaster
Shot a lot. Keep throwing her for best results. Watch out for the acid
and try to get Samus into it. The top platform is the only one that is
guaranteed not to get acid covering it. Watch out for Samus' Screw
Attack.

FOX VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
The Blaster Shot is all you need here. It may take a while, but if
you use the Blaster Shot over and over again from far away, it will
ensure that you don't get hit very much. Throw him off at around 200%
damage.

FOX VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
This is perhaps the worst fight to be Fox as. Just hitting them
with aerial power-hits is the best way to get rid of them fast. The B
button attacks are useless here. Items like the Hammer are very handy
here, especially as Fox, Yoshi, or Jigglypuff.

FOX VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Just keep using Blaster Shots and an occasional Firefox. Fox is
fast so most attacks can be dodged easily but some of them like when he
drills his finger into you from above need to be shielded because it is
way too fast. Shield against mostly everything because almost everything
won't break your shield.

~PIKACHU~

PIKACHU VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Start with a barrage of Thunderjolts. When he finally walks over to
you give him a Thunder. Now you should use Pikachu's shocking throw over
to the left side of the stage. Give him the Electric Drill and then
throw him over the side again. Keep throwing until he's done.

PIKACHU VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Start off with a Thunder to kill the Yoshi on top. Electric Drills
and Downward Electric Drills will do great after that. Each Yoshi will
get launched with one each. Play totally offensive here and don't worry
about them attacking you because they really suck.

PIKACHU VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
Don't let Fox reflect your Thunderjolts back at you. Lure him near
the edge and use a lot of shocking throws. If he is high in the air than
juggle him with Thunder. If the Arwing comes throw Fox in the line of
fire to kill him.

PIKACHU VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for this fight. Throw Mario and
then juggle Luigi with Thunder. The Thunders should get Luigi high in
damage but stop if Mario comes after you to throw him and then start
Thundering again. Luigi should die pretty quickly this way so that you
can concentrate on double teaming Mario.

PIKACHU VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Stay under him and juggle him with Thunder. If you see him setting
up a Thunder and it's too late to escape than shield. Throw Pikachu a
lot because he is a lightweight. If the pokémon door opens than push
Pikachu into it and run for cover.

PIKACHU VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for this match. Easy, just
stay under him and Thunder him. His damage will skyrocket by using
Thunder over and over again. He should be at about 200% damage before
you can toss him for good. Just don't go near him because his Giant
Punch can kill you even at 0%!

PIKACHU VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Use Thunder to kill the first one right off the bat. Pikachu's
shocking throws should kill these Kirby's after one or two of them. If
they are really starting to piss you off than just Thunder them and
they'll be gone if they've been damaged a bit.

PIKACHU VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
I hate this fight the most. Start of the fight with a barrage of
Thunderjolts. No matter who you are the best strategy is to try and
throw Samus into the acid once she is around 65%. As long as the acid
isn't too high you can drop to the bottom and Thunder her if she is on
the top.

PIKACHU VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
One word. THUNDER! Metal Mario's damage will go up pretty fast with
this move. Use lots of shocking throws once his damage is around 200%
and hopefully he will go flying off sooner or later. He is even harder
to throw than Giant DK and even when you are on the edge you can
sometimes not throw him far enough to get him off.

PIKACHU VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Throws should guarantee a kill for each of these dummies. Thunder
will without question. Be sure to grab the health items and yes health
items will appear sometime in this fight. The hammer is especially
useful in this fight on the higher difficulties.

PIKACHU VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
You can easily get the Single Move bonus on this stage as Pikachu
with Thunder. Shield against almost everything except for a few attacks
that will break your shield. Dodging is a must have skill for this
fight.

~LUIGI~

LUIGI VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Bombard Link with Fireballs until he starts to move, than run to
the far side and throw even more Fireballs. His damage should be at
least at around 30% now so use the Super Jump Punch and catch it on fire
if you know how. Now kick him to the side and throw Fireballs to keep
him back off. This is an easy fight.

LUIGI VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Super Jump Punches are great here whether they catch fire or not.
Use anything except Fireballs here and they will go flying. Don't be
intimidated by their numbers because this is probably an easier fight
than against Link.

LUIGI VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
If Fox reflects your Fireballs than throw another one to cancel it
out. Try to catch a Super Jump Punch on fire when he is high in damage
to get a Star Finish. Throws come in very handy here. If the Arwing
comes along here just throw Fox up to get him shot into oblivion.

LUIGI VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for this battle. Throw Mario right
off the bat and than do a Super Jump Punch on Luigi(on fire if you can).
Now just hang back throwing Fireballs while your ally keeps Mario and
Luigi busy. Throw them when they get high in damage.

LUIGI VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Just hit him with any kind of power hits to knock him away. If the
pokémon door opens than push Pikachu into it and run for cover so that
the pokémon don't hit you. When Electrode pops out of the door he can
usually kill Pikachu. Throws can make short work of Pikachu.

LUIGI VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for this fight. If you know
how to catch your Super Jump Punches on fire than keep using those but
if you don't than hang back throwing Fireballs. Throw Giant DK when he
gets around 200% damage and he will get high in damage quickly.

LUIGI VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Just throw each Kirby out of existence or you can smash them off
with your power hits. Their copied attacks can get rather annoying so
try to avoid them. Super Jump Punches work well here. I recommend just
throwing them though.

LUIGI VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
Right off the beginning jump up and give Samus a Luigi Cyclone and
then a throw. Start launching off Fireballs now and if she gets near you
jump to the top platform. Throw her into the acid at about 65%. It will
take a few tries but once she gets roasted and toasted you might get the
Acid Clear bonus.

LUIGI VS. METAL MARI0
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Super Jump Punches that catch on fire are the best weapon here.
Once he is down on the bottom platform give him your Fireballs. At about
200% give him a lot of throws to get him off. If you stay away from him
this will be an easy fight.

LUIGI VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Just use anything except for the Fireballs. Grab the health items
and hope for a hammer because they will be a lot quicker to defeat that
way. On the higher difficulties this can be one of the hardest fights.

LUIGI VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Super Jump Punches that catch on fire are the best way to quickly
get rid of this glove. You should throw Fireballs at him while you are
running over to Super Jump Punch him because he will die faster that
way. Shield against most of his attacks and you'll be fine.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Try to land a couple of Falcon Punches at the start of the match.
Every time Link jumps in the air use the Falcon Grab. Throw him off
after a few Falcon Kicks. This fight shouldn't take very long at all.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Use any attack here and they'll will all go flying with one hit
each. Throws work just as good but it doesn't matter. One time through
this fight and their numbers won't scare you any longer. This is a lot
easier than the fight against Link.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
This is the battle of the fast guys but guess what? You're faster!
Use lots of Falcon Kicks and Flaming Kicks. Throw him every chance you
get. Take advantage of your speed and Falcon Grab every time Fox jumps.
This is the first challenging fight.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for you this time. Falcon Kick
Mario and then Falcon Grab Luigi. Keep Falcon Kicking across the screen
hitting everything in your path. The Falcon Grab is handy here because
Mario and Luigi jump a lot. Throw them when they're high in damage.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Don't try a Falcon Punch here or quick little Pikachu will kick you
down. Throw him whenever you can and if Pikachu tries to come back on
the playing field after a throw than Falcon Grab him to push him back
out, just don't fall down the hole yourself.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
The computer picks two random allies for this match. If Giant DK
keeps getting stunned from your opponents constantly hitting him then it
might be safe to set up a Falcon Punch. The Falcon Grab is easy to
connect here because Giant DK is such a big target. Falcon Kicks and
Flaming Kicks should be your main attacks.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
A Falcon Punch would finish these guys off as a one hit KO but
that's too risky so just use Falcon Kicks and Flaming Kicks. Falcon
Grabs can be useful if there is a Kirby on a platform above you. A few
power hits will finish them off.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
The Falcon Grab is useful for the many times that Samus is in the
air. When Samus is on the ground jump towards here and press B in the
air and by the time you land the Falcon Punch should hit. After that
stay on the top platforms using Falcon Kicks. Try to throw her into the
acid.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
On the lower difficulties you can usually easily lay a Falcon
Punch in Metal Mario's face, but on the higher ones he'll usually Super
Jump Punch you before you can fire it. When he is on the top platform
use Falcon Grabs and when he is on the bottom using Falcon Kicks and
Flaming Kicks. Throw him at about 225%.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Just hit these guys with any attack you want and they'll go flying.
Throws are a guaranteed way to kill any of the annoying Polygons. One or
two health items are bound to come up here. This is a big test of
endurance.

CAPTAIN FALCON VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Falcon Punches work great if you can time them. If you're having
trouble connecting the Falcon Punch than Falcon Kicks and Flaming Kicks
work just as well. Falcon Grabs are useless because you can't throw the
Master Hand. Most of his attacks can be shielded against but some must
be dodged.

~NESS~

NESS VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Start off by throwing a barrage of PK Fires. Then when his damage
is high, keep trying to throw him off the edge. PK Shield is useless in
this fight. Smacking yourself into him with PK Thunder is also very
effective.

NESS VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Just use a combination of all your A button attacks, because they
go flying easily. This is a very easy fight. If you lose this, then I
pity you.

NESS VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
This can be a hard fight sometimes. Start off by smacking yourself
into him. Absorb his blaster shots with PK Shield. Don't let him juggle
you, because on the higher difficulties he can rack up your damage very
high. Don't use PK Fire too much or he will reflect it.

NESS VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
You get a random CPU ally for this fight against Mario and Luigi.
Start off by throwing a bunch of PK Fires at Mario, and when he gets
close throw him. Smack yourself into them with PK Thunder, while your
ally keeps them busy. On the higher difficulties, Mario and Luigi combo
you like crazy!

NESS VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Don't let him Thunder you from below! Keep using A button attacks
such as the Yo-Yo and the bat. Throwing him is also useful. He sometimes
messes up the Double Quick Attack move, and kills himself. Whatever you
do, don't under estimate this electric mouse!

NESS VS. GIANT DK
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
You get two random allies for this fight. Mostly just let your
allies do the work while you use PK Thunder from far back. When Giant DK
is high in damage, just throw him a few times. Items are very handy
here.

NESS VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Mostly just hit them as hard as you can with your A button attacks.
Don't bother with your PK Fire or PK Thunder, but PK Shield can come in
handy when they're using their copied attacks.

NESS VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
Stay on the top most of the time to avoid the acid. PK Thunder is
useful. Absorb her charged shot with PK Shield. Juggle her with the
Vertical Yo-Yo. Try to knock her far out into the acid with your bat and
she probably won't be able to make it back if her damage is high enough.

NESS VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
If you're going to smack yourself into him with PK Thunder, than
make sure he is on the other side of the screen. The bat and Yo-Yo come
in handy here. Mostly use physical attacks with a few PK Fires in here
and there. Throw him off at around 175% damage.

NESS VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
This is easy on the earlier difficulties. Just bash them around
with your bat, yo-yo, and Flying Punches. There will most likely be some
Maxim Tomatoes in this battle.

NESS VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Use PK Fire when on the attack. When he walks on two fingers, jump
over him. When his fingers are pointing at you diagonally and the tips
are sparkling, dodge it! If you put up your shield, he will poke you
twice, therefore breaking it. When his fingertips are sparkling, and
they're pointing at you horizontally, put up your PK Shield to regain
tons of damage when he shoots bullets at you! For every thing else, you
can just block.

~JIGGLYPUFF~

JIGGLYPUFF VS. LINK
Stage- Hyrule Castle
Hazards- A tornado sweeps across the stage now and then throwing whoever
gets caught in it upward.
Run up to Link and use Pound. Now run up to him and throw him
straight up, and than jump up and juggle him with the Overhead Clap.
When his damage his high use the Sing attack followed by a rest. If that
still doesn't knock him out than just throw him.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. YOSHI TEAM(18)
Stage- Yoshi's Island
Hazards- None
Just hit them all with aerial power-hits to get rid of them. This
is the easiest fight in the whole game so don't worry about this one.
The next one is more or a challenge.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. FOX
Stage- Sector Z
Hazards- the Arwing comes in now and then and shoots the heck out of
whoever is standing in the line of fire.
Try to grab Fox and throw him straight up. Now juggle him endlessly
with the Overhead Clap. When his damage is high kick him to the side. If
he still needs a bit more damage done to him than put him to sleep and
use the Rest attack. If he makes it back to the edge than just throw him
again.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. MARIO BROTHERS
Stage- Peach's Castle
Hazards- the Bumper at the top of the stage can fling you to the side
but that isn't really much of a hazard.
The computer picks a random ally for you this time. Throw Mario
right at the start and then jump up and Overhead Clap Luigi. Now back
away and keep using hit and run tactics with Pound. If Mario or Luigi
are under the bumper, throw them straight up and they might hit it.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Saffron City
Hazards- the pokémon that come out of the door sometimes attack.
Battle of the Pokémon! Stay under Pikachu and don't let him Thunder
you. Juggle him by throwing him straight up and using the Overhead Clap
attack over and over touching the ground every time you run out of
puffs. Throw him into the pokémon door whenever it's open.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. PIKACHU
Stage- Congo Jungle
Hazards- None but a barrel that floats along the bottom of the stage can
save you if you fall off.
This time you get two allies randomly picked by the computer.
Jigglypuff doesn't have very many strong attacks so just put Giant DK to
sleep and let your allies pound down on him. When Giant DK is high in
damage throw him or use Rest if he is very high in damage.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. KIRBY TEAM(8)
Stage- Dreamland
Hazards- Wispy Woods the tree blows wind back and forth across the stage
that can blow you off if you're not careful.
Just use all of the power hits that you've got to send these
balloons to orbit(look whose talkin'). Throwing them is probably the
best way because Jigglypuff doesn't have too many power hits. You should
be hoping for a hammer here.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. SAMUS
Stage- Planet Zebes
Hazards- the acid that rises occasionally can roast and toast you. The
most annoying hazard in the game.
This is possibly the hardest fight in the game especially being
Jigglypuff(no offense). The best way is probably to run up and throw
Samus straight up and then to keep juggling her so that she can't attack
you. Just watch out for the acid and jump up when you see it coming. Be
careful and don't let Samus attack you too much.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. METAL MARIO
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
It will take a long time to rack up Metal Mario's damage as
Jigglypuff so just put him to sleep, pound, put him to sleep, pound, you
get the idea. You can also use other moves like the Overhead Clap, just
don't expect to juggle this hunk of metal! Throw him at about 225%
damage.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. FIGHTING POLYGON TEAM(30)
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Use Jigglypuff's aerial power-hits to knock away the Polygon team
members. There is bound to be a health item or two come up here so grab
them when you see them. Items like the hammer are very handy here.

JIGGLYPUFF VS. MASTER HAND
Stage- ?
Hazards- None
Just jump up and use the Overhead Clap again and again. It will
take a while but it is still the best way to do it. Dodge some attacks
but most can be shielded against. This is not as hard as many people
think because half the time the Master Hand is just floating harmlessly.

************************************************************************
12) Stages
************************************************************************

Here I will list the stages, I'll give a rating from 1(horrible) to
5(great). I will also give tips on how to play well on that particular
stage.

Peach's Castle(Mario and Luigi's Stage)
Whenever I'm on this stage I always stay on the bottom level
hitting my opponents from below. This method has a few obvious pros. You
don't have to worry about the bumper, it's harder for your opponents to
hit you. Another way is to try to throw people against the ramps and
they're likely to bounce back at you where you can throw or hit them
again. You can also harass your opponents by shooting projectiles from
the side. The two platforms at the bottom that comes in and out are good
places to throw your opponents off and edge guard. Overall a good stage,
I like it.
3 out of 5

Congo Jungle(Donkey Kong's Stage)
I like the music in this stage a lot but I don't really like the
stage itself. The barrel on the bottom can save you if you fall off but
it always seems to be on the other side of the stage. The high platforms
on sides are a good place to charge a weapon you might have or grab an
item. A very small stage it is rather easy to get launched of the side
of the screen. The two rotating platforms in the middle can sometimes
interfere with you attacks. Cool music but the stage is small. It's not
too bad though.
2 out of 5

Hyrule Castle(Link's Stage)
A tornado goes around this stage and can finish off anyone high in
damage. Beside the arch on the right side of the stage is a good place
to pull off an infinite combo(tap A). A very good stage because it's
big. It's hard to throw people off of this stage because it's so big.
Lots of room here and a few platforms. Fun!
4 out of 5

Planet Zebes(Samus's Stage)
I used to hate this stage but now I like it a bit better because my
opponents get thrown around in the acid that rises a lot more than I do.
The music is cool but there isn't much room on the horizontal means. The
acid that rises can cover every platform except for the top one. Try to
throw your opponents into it. It is still a bad stage, it just isn't
horrible to me any more.
2 out of 5

Yoshi's Island(Yoshi's Stage)
Not very much room but there are a lot of platforms which make it
easy to get around in and to hit people. Chansey eggs randomly appear
him. The clouds on the side of the stage can save you from falling but
don't stay on them too long or they will disappear. Try to hit people
from below from the bottom platform. An average stage in my opinion, but
not much room.
3 out of 5

Dreamland(Kirby's Stage)
The tree Wispy Woods blows wind back and forth the stage. Their are
three platforms above and a base platform on the bottom. A short stage
but not as short as other ones like Yoshi's Island. Kind of boring but I
like the music. It's an okay stage.
3 out of 5

Sector Z(Fox's Stage)
A good stage but there aren't any platforms above so it's kind of
boring. Sometimes the Arwing comes along and likes to shoot the crap out
of you. You have to be at the side of the stage in order to throw
somebody off. This is the longest stage in the game. Shooting
projectiles from far away is a good strategy as long as they have the
range. A good stage, but no platforms.
4 out of 5

Saffron City(Pikachu and Jigglypuff's Stage)
This is a fun level. Pokémon come out of the door and attack you.
There are a lot of platforms here. Here is a list of the pokémon that
come out of the door and what special attack they do.
Pokémon          Move
Chansey          Egg Bomb
Charmander       Flamethrower
Electrode        Explosion
Porygon          Tackle
Venusaur         Razor Leaf
4 out of 5

Mushroom Kingdom(Hidden Stage)
This is my favourite stage! There is a POW block that sometimes
appears, and when it does, if someone hits it whoever is on the ground
gets flung up in the air. Use the pipes to escape danger but be careful
if the pipe takes you to the one at the bottom of the stage prepare to
jump. Also Piranha Plants come out of the pipes so you'll have to wait
for them to go down before you can use the pipe. The scale in the center
of the stage falls down if you stay on it for too long. A very fun
stage, it's the best one unless you're Ness!
5 out of 5

than just leave it alone!
Tip- This is better than most power hits!

Motion Sensor Bomb(Goldeneye)
Tip- Put these in places you know your opponent will be.

Maxim Tomato(Kirby games)
Tip- This restores 100% of your health!

Ray Gun(Earthbound)
Tip- After its 16 shots are out throw it to do even more damage.
Tip- This is great for juggling your opponents off the edge with.

Fire Flower(Mario games)
Tip- This is probably the best way in the game to rack up damage
quickly.

Star Rod(Kirby games)
Tip- This weapon can shoot 20 stars or be used as a clobbering item.

Pokéball(Pokémon)
Tip- Here is a list of pokémon that can come out and what their special

* very rare.

Green Shell(Mario games)
Tip- This can be used over again a few times.

Red Shell(Mario games)
Tip- If you're going to use this item then make sure you're not on the
same platform that you throw it on.

Star(Mario games)
Tip- This item does not need to be picked up, just touched.
Tip- This wears off after about 10 seconds.

Fan(Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars)
Tip- Throwing it at an opponent throws them straight up in the air,
setting them up for a combo or a juggle.
Tip- This can be used to pull off infinite combos.
Tip- This is the best weapon for breaking shields.

Bumper(Kirby's Pinball Land)
Tip- Throw this at edges when opponents are trying to come back onto the
playing field.
Tip- This does 1% damage when someone touches it.

14) FAQ
************************************************************************

Q: How do you get mew to appear in the pokéballs?

A: I currently don't know how to get Mew to appear in the pokéballs but
I do know that you don't need all 4 secret characters because I saw Mew
when I didn't have Ness. As far as I know, you don't have to do anything
to get Mew, it is just random and rare.

platform. Now do your longest jump to the right and land on the last
platform.

~LINK~

Bonus 1
1- Hit the target to the left of you.

targets on its way down.
10- Equip a bomb, then jump up twice and throw the bomb up making sure
that you don't do the Spinning Sword Slash.

need to step on, so climb up making sure to step on both of them.
8- Screw Attack your way up to the platform above and to the left of
you.
9- Go down beside the Bumpers and roll through them and board the
platform.
10- Roll back out and charge your shot. Now climb up to the highest

the target.
2- Walk to the left side now and break the target.
3- Break the target directly above you.
4- Jump up the platforms above you and break the target near the top.

3,4&5- Jump over the pointed edge on your right and board the next three

4- Jump onto the larger platform above you, jump to the right and hit
that target on your way back down.
5- Once you're back where you started jump below and onto the moving
platform with the target on it. Break it.
6- When the moving platform is at its farthest left, jump off of it and
into the alcove on the far left. Break the target on it.
7- Jump up to the very top of the chamber and Final Cutter the target.
8&9- Jump up to the very top right corner and jump down the shaft. Hit
two targets on your way down and Final Cutter yourself back onto the

Bonus 2
1,2&3- Board all three platforms in the little chamber.
4- Jump over the right side and board the platform.
5- Stone your way down to avoid the Bumpers. Now comes the tricky part.
Somehow get yourself onto the platform in between the two falling
platforms. My only tip is to note that the platforms fall faster than
you.
6- When the moving platform is almost at the bottom, jump up into the
shaft and onto the platform. Take the rising platforms up to the top and
jump onto the platform right when you see it.
7- Jump over to the right side and fall down the shaft. When you see a
split in the shaft, take the right side and avoid the Bumper by using
Stone.
8- This next jump is hard. Jump all the way up to the top of the chamber
and board the platform. It will take all of your jumps and the Final
Cutter to pull off.
9- Drop down the chamber and into the shaft that goes straight down. Hug
the right wall and eventually you'll land on a platform. Use all of your
jumps and the Final Cutter to get to the platform in the top left hand
corner of that chamber.
10- Drop down and hug the wall. Jump underneath it and onto the last
platform.

~FOX~

6- Jump up to the platform above you. Now hit the target above and to
the left of you with a Blaster Shot.
7- Jump onto the platform in the bottom left hand corner and from there
use both jumps and the Firefox to hit the above target.
8- Once back on the platform, time your Blaster Shot to shoot through
the hole and at the target.
9- Now jump back up to wear you broke target number 6. From there double
jump as far as you can to the left. Use the Firefox to hit the target in
the alcove.
10- You'll probably fall onto the platform in the bottom left hand
corner so jump off the right side and hit the moving target with
anything, I prefer the Firefox but a Blaster Shot could get it too.

Bonus 2
1,2&3- Quickly jump onto the three platforms that you see and then jump
back where you started because that platform will rise.
4- Avoid the two moving Bumpers and stay on the platform. Avoid the next
two Bumpers and land on the platform.

Board the platform and jump right back on the moving platform.
7- Stay on the platform diagonally and board the platform before jumping
right back on the moving platform.
8- On your second time around on the moving platform when you get to the
top left corner drop onto the platform in the middle chamber.
9- Jump across to the platform at the end of the chamber. Wait for the
moving platform to come back and then jump on it.
10- Eventually when you get to the bottom left hand corner jump up into
the bottom of the shaft and use both jumps and the Firefox to reach the
last platform.

~PIKACHU~

6- Jump onto the moving platform on your right and break the target.
7- Jump up to the top and send a Thunderjolt in the air to hop to the
right and break the target.

target.
9&10- Jump down the middle and when you touch the lowest target use
Thunder and it will hit both targets.

Bonus 2
1,2&3- Walk across the three platforms on the right.
4- Jump the gap and land on the platform on the right side.
5&6- Maneuver across the snake like stairs and touch the two platforms
underneath it.
7- Jump down to the next level and make your way across being sure to
board the platform along this level.
8&9- Jump underneath and into the chamber with the two platforms that
need boarding.
10- Use two jumps and a Double Quick Attack to reach the last platform.

~LUIGI~

Bonus 1
1&2- Punch the target next to you and Super Jump Punch the target above
you.
3&4- Jump onto the yellow and black platform to your left and Super Jump
Punch the two targets above it.
5- Super Jump Punch the target high above the starting point.
6- Jump onto the moving yellow and black platform to your right and jump
your way up to the very top and break the target.
7- Drop to the blue moving platform on the bottom and time your Fireball
to hit the target underneath the yellow and black platform on your
right.
8- The platform to the left of you that is shaped like a 1 has a target
on the other side. Use your first jump to jump off the platform that
you're on, the second jump to position yourself underneath and a bit to
the left of the target, and use the Super Jump Punch to break the target
plus land on the platform.
9&10- Jump on top of the yellow and black platform on the right hand
side. Jump off and Drill Kick the target and than Super Jump Punch the
last target over to the left.

Bonus 2
1,2,3&4- Board the four platforms in that chamber than jump down.
5- Jump under the block that comes in and out of the wall and land on
the target.
6- Jump under the block and then board the platform on the right.
7- Jump onto the above platform.
8- Drop down to the blue platform beside platform number 6. Use all of
your jumps to get to the platform in the little alcove above and to the
right of you.
9- Jump onto the platform above platform number 8. Now jump up onto the
platform that sways across the screen like a pendulum.
10- Hop up the red platforms up onto the last platform that needs
boarding.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

Bonus 1
1&2- Punch the target beside you and hit the target above you.
3- Jump up the right side and break the target.

6- Jump to the only moving platform in the bottom left corner and break
that target.
7- Cross the gap to the left and jump up and hit the target above you.
8&9- Falcon Punch through the wall to hit the two targets on the other
side.
10- Jump off the edge in the bottom right corner and jump into the
alcove with the target and hit it.

Bonus 2
1&2- Run along that level boarding both platforms.
3- Run along the level a drop onto the platform that comes in and out of
the blue thing.
4- Jump up to the platform on the right and board the platform.
5- Drop down the shaft and board the small platform.
6- Run to the left and jump up to the platform.
7- Climb over the wall on the left. Run over to the right and fall down
the hole. Board the platform that comes in and out of the blue thing.
8- Go back to the spot right below where you started. Jump through the
gap on the right side and fall onto the moving platform.
9- Drop down onto another platform.
10- Jump underneath the wall on the left and up onto the last platform.

~NESS~

Bonus 1

1- It's right next to you, so pound it!
2- Hit the one above and to the right of you.
3- Jump to the platform on the left. Now use PK Thunder to hit the
target underneath it.
4- Jump up and hit the target above you.
5- Jump onto the moving platform and hit that one with a PK Thunder.
6- Press Start to bring you to the map. You'll see a hidden target above
and to the left of you so hit it with a PK Thunder.
7- Now head over to the right side of the screen. Jump up the side and
you'll see a target, so hit it.
8&9- Jump onto the platform above you and enter the little maze thing.
Once you see a target right in front of your face, PK Fire it. The PK
Fire will drop down and hit the target below it as well.
10- Jump up out of the maze and follow the arrow down with a PK Thunder
or just go down there yourself and hit it with a Downward Kick.

Bonus 2

1- Step onto the platform on your left
2,3&4- Step down continually from one to another until they've all been
stepped on.
5- Drop down the hole, and triple jump yourself(via PK Thunder) up onto
the next platform.
6&7- Jump down and step onto the two platforms on the left.
8- Here is where it gets tricky. Triple jump through the diagonal path
on the left. Now maneuver through the moving platforms above it. Jump
over the two bumpers and land on the platform.
9- Now head over to the right side and triple jump onto the platform.
10- Triple jump up there from platform 9.

~JIGGLYPUFF~

Bonus 1
1- Break the target above you.
2- Break the target on the right side of you.
3- Break the target on the left side of you.
4- Jump up onto the platform on the left and hit the target above it.
5- Jump over the left side, Pound the target, and jump back up.
6- Drop down the right side now and hit the target on the moving
platform.
7- Drop to the moving platform below you and hit that target.
8- Jump up to the stable platform and hit the target above and to the
right of it.
9- Jump onto the green moving platform and jump to the right and use
Pound after every jump to get extra distance. Break the target on the
ledge.
10- Fly underneath the platform that you're on and jump up and hit the
last target.

Bonus 2
1&2- Board the two platforms on the left.
3&4- There are two platforms that need to be boarded on the escalator
stairs going up. Board them and drop down.
5- A platform will come in and out of the blue stuff and it might annoy
you if you keep missing it, but just stay in one spot that it might come
up in and stay there and it will eventually come to you.
6,7&8- There are three platforms in this mess of Bumpers. You will
probably get knocked around in here a bit but don't worry, just board
the three platforms and drop down to the left.
9- Walk to the left and you'll see a platform that keeps falling. Just
board it and move on.
10- This is tricky, jump to the left and after every jump use Pound to
give you extra distance. It might take you a few tries.

Bonus 3(Race to the Finish)

Just avoid the fighting polygon team members. Don't rush through
the bumpers and bombs because you'll get pushed farther back. Dash
through the straight aways, but take your time on the bumpers and bombs.
This is best done with Captain Falcon and Fox.

16) Character Comparisons
************************************************************************

Here I will list how to beat all 12 characters with all 12
characters! That is a lot of writing! I am only filling in some of the
parts now because I want to get this version out right away so don't e-
mail me asking me to fill in the rest, I will do that soon enough. You
better appreciate it because I did it all for you readers!(and because
it enlarges the size of my FAQ making it look better!)

~MARIO~

Mario vs. Mario
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You can cancel out his Fireballs with Fireballs of your own. If he
misses a Super Jump Punch than use one of your own. It is mostly based
on skill with Mario here.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Use a lot of Fireballs because Donkey Kong has no projectiles to
counter them with. The Mario Tornado followed by a Super Jump Punch
combo works well here because Donkey Kong is such a big target. Just
avoid the Giant Punch and you should be fine.

Mario vs. Link
Mario Tornadoes work well here and Link should be used to getting
flung around in tornadoes anyway! Okay, so that was a lame joke, but
they really do work well. Try launching Fireballs from far away, because
both of Link's projectiles have long windup and he can't counter them.

Mario vs. Samus
Your Fireballs are faster than Samus' Charge Shot so take that to
your advantage. Samus is all about powerful attacks, so keep her trapped
in combos and juggles to prevent her from using them. Be quick and stay
on the offensive. Samus has a slow throw so tempt her to use it and then
come in will the Mario Tornado.

Mario vs. Yoshi
Yoshi isn't much of a problem. Don't let him egg you off the edge
and use endless Mario Tornadoes. He shouldn't be able to escape easily
from that combo. Mostly anything will get rid of Yoshis. Fireballs from
far back work because Yoshi's Egg Bomb move is lousy. If he tries to
Butt Drop on you than use the Super Jump Punch.

Mario vs. Kirby
Kirby is light, so go heavy on throws. Don't let him steal your
Fireballs because he will probably use them lots. If Kirby uses Stone
and you think that you have enough time, than jump up and give him a
Super Jump Punch. If you predicted wrong though than prepare to be
smashed away!

Mario vs. Fox
Don't go too heavy on Fireballs or he'll probably catch on start
using his Reflector. If he jumps above you and uses the Firefox in an
attempt to smoke you, than use the Super Jump Punch to stop him. Be
prepared to dodge some Blaster Shots because Fox players use them a lot
beginner or expert.

Mario vs. Pikachu
Just like Kirby, you want to go heavy on throws because Pikachu is
light. Don't let him set you up for a Thunder, because Pikachu players
use that move a lot. The Thunderjolt can get annoying so jump over it.
If he uses the Quick Attack to get back on the playing field than try to
hit him back off before he can touch the ground and he'll be helpless.

Mario vs. Luigi
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You can cancel out his Fireballs with Fireballs of your own. If he
misses a Super Jump Punch than use one of your own.

Mario vs. Captain Falcon
Let's face it, you're not going to beat Captain Falcon by trying to
be fast, because he'll just be faster so try to beat Captain Falcon from
a distance, because Captain Falcon can't fight a distant game. Use your
Fireballs a lot, because Captain Falcon doesn't have a projectile and as
long as you can stay away from him, he will be forced to lose.

Mario vs. Ness
Use Fireballs with caution because Ness has a PK Shield. Ness' main
strength is in his offense, so don't let him play an offensive game and
force him to try and play defense. Mario Tornadoes and Super Jump
Punches work great here. Beginning Ness players might not realize that
they can absorb your Fireballs so it really just depends on who you are
fighting.

Mario vs. Jigglypuff
This is not even a fight if you're a skilled Mario player.
Jigglypuff is easily beaten with power so just throw all of your
strongest attacks at her to defeat her. Only skilled Jigglypuff players
that know how to juggle pose any kind of threat at all.

~DONKEY KONG~

Donkey Kong vs. Mario
Let's see, Mario is faster, Mario jumps higher, and he has a
projectile unlike you! So how are you going to win? Just use the one
strength that you have over him. POWER! Just hit him with all of your
most powerful attacks like the Giant Punch and Spinning Kongs. Watch out
for Fireballs because Donkey Kong is a big target.

Donkey Kong vs. Donkey Kong
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You are both slow, so if you dash instead of walk then you can win
with speed. Speed is a good way to win because your opponent is slow but
you can at least be average speed by dashing. Use throws a lot because
that is one of Donkey Kong's best assets.

Donkey Kong vs. Link
If you can avoid Link's Boomerang and his Bombs than you can force
Link to play a close game in which you have the advantage. Use the Giant
Punch to keep Link off of the playing field once he is off. Throwing is
a good way to rack up Link's damage.

Donkey Kong vs. Samus
Samus is one hard opponent for Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong's strength
is barely an advantage here because Samus has so many powerful attacks.
You are going to have to go close in to beat Samus. The Giant Punch
works well if you can find the opportunity to charge it. Throws are a
powerful way to keep Samus from hitting you. Dodge the Charge Shot,
avoid the Bombs, and everything else just needs to be taken as damage
unless you can find a way out.

Donkey Kong vs. Yoshi
Yoshi is no match for Donkey Kong's incredible strength. Use lots
of throws and Spinning Kongs. Hand Slaps can set him up for Overhead
Hand Swats. Use Giant Punches when he is stunned. Throw him off when he
is high in damage and you shouldn't have a problem.

Donkey Kong vs. Kirby
Don't let Kirby steal your Giant Punch or he'll be deadly. Kirby is
light so go heavy on throws and Giant Punches. If he does manage to
steal your Giant Punch than throw him every time he charges it up. The
Final Cutter can be hard to avoid because you are such a big target.

Donkey Kong vs. Fox
Fox has a huge speed advantage on you here so don't try and beat
him with speed, beat him with power. Fox's attacks are very weak and he
relies on combos and juggles to do damage. Throw whenever you can and
make it a close in fight.

Donkey Kong vs. Pikachu
Donkey Kong is very vulnerable to Pikachu's electric attacks but if
you just stay on the offensive and use lots of throws and Giant Punches
than you should be fine because Pikachu is light. Whatever you do don't
go above him or he'll Thunder you and you certainly don't want that now
do you!

Donkey Kong vs. Luigi
This can be a hard fight. Dodge his Fireballs. Don't let him Super
Jump Punch you because you might catch on fire. Stay away from Luigi and
use hit and runs with Giant Punches and Spinning Kongs. Hand Slaps can
set up Luigi for a hit from below. Throw him off when he is high in
damage.

Donkey Kong vs. Captain Falcon
This is one of the hardest fights in the game. Slowest vs. Fastest!
By staying close to him and fighting from close-in you're making his
speed not account for anything so do that. Throws work well. Hand Slaps
are good for when you want to slow him down.

Donkey Kong vs. Ness
Donkey Kong is a big target so even the less experienced Ness
players should be able to hit him with PK Thunder and that makes this
hard. You are both slow so don't worry about that. Try to stay close in
so that he can't use the cheap run to the other side and PK Thunder
trick.

Donkey Kong vs. Jigglypuff
Possibly one of the easiest fight in the game. Strongest vs.
Lightest! Just use all you've got, throws, Giant Punches, anything that
you can think of just smash her up. When her damage is high throw her
off or punch her off with the Giant Punch.

~LINK~

Link vs. Mario
Link is a bad jumper so try to stay in the middle of the stage.
After Mario has been hit away after an attack set up a bomb and huck it
at him. Mostly use a lot of sword attacks from close in and bombs from
far away.

Link vs. Donkey Kong
Use a lot of Bombs because Donkey Kong has no projectiles to
counter them with. When he is in the air juggle him with the Upward
Sword Stab. Try jumping above him and using the Downward Sword Stab. The
Boomerang is good for when you want to knock him off his feet. Avoid the
Giant Punch the best you can and don't let him throw you either.

Link vs. Link
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. Be careful when juggling because he can penetrate your juggle with
the Downward Sword Stab. Beginning Link players tend to overuse Bombs
and under use the Boomerang. Bombs should be easy to avoid so just use
lots of sword attacks.

Link vs. Samus
You both have long range throws. Samus is all about powerful
attacks so don't let her use them by juggling her. She can't penetrate
them with any attack but she might be able to suck you in with a Screw
Attack so watch out for that. Samus players way overuse the Charge Shot
so just dodge them.

Link vs. Yoshi
Yoshi doesn't pose much of a threat. Just use numerous sword
attacks and juggles. The Downward Sword Stab can hit multiple times when
Yoshi is high in the air. Bombs can do good damage. Throw him off when
he is high in damage. This shouldn't be much of a hard fight.

Link vs. Kirby
Don't let Kirby steal your Boomerang, it tends to get very annoying
if he keeps using it on you. Juggle Kirby with the Upward Sword Stab. A
smash attack or throw should knock him off when he is high in damage.
Avoid the Stone and Final Cutter as good as you can because those are
Kirby's best attacks.

Link vs. Fox
Try to avoid his cheap Blaster Shot. Fox's Reflector doesn't work
on your Bombs and Boomerang so don't worry about that. Juggle Fox a lot
and penetrate his juggles with the Downward Sword Stab. Fox is fast so
whenever he runs up to you use the Spinning Sword Slash.

Link vs. Pikachu
Throws should work well on Pikachu because he is light like Kirby
and Jigglypuff. Stay below him and juggle him. The Downward Sword Stab
won't work on experienced Pikachu players because they will Thunder you.
The Spinning Sword Slash is handy here.

Link vs. Luigi
Luigi is one powerful foe! Stay low to avoid the Super Jump Punch.
Luigi's powerful attacks can be avoided by juggling him with the Upward
Sword Stab. Luigi Cyclones can be countered with a Spinning Sword Slash.
Just dodge his Fireballs.

Link vs. Captain Falcon
Captain Falcon is fast but he lacks a projectile so try to use the
Boomerang a lot and Bombs if you're fast enough. Juggling is helpful
just hope he doesn't Falcon Kick while you're juggling. Staying away
will result in a win.

Link vs. Ness
Ness' PK Shield does not work for Bombs or the Boomerang so don't
worry about that. Juggling him is good because Ness doesn't have any
good downward aerial power-hit. Avoid or block his PK attacks and throw
him when stunned. Ness is slow so take advantage of his low speed.

Link vs. Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff is a joke! Just juggle this balloon with the Upward
Sword Stab and you'll be fine. Don't let her put you to sleep because
that could lead to a Rest attack. If she uses Rest on you than try to
get back at her before she wakes up. If she misses with the Rest than
use Link's throw. If she is juggling you than use the Downward Sword
Stab to counter Jigglypuff's juggles.

~SAMUS~

Samus vs. Mario
Mario's Fireballs are faster than your Charge Shot but is much
weaker. If he misses a Super Jump Punch than use the Screw Attack or if
you think you can pull it off the Upward Flamethrower. Avoid the Mario
Tornado the best you can by staying away. Samus is a pathetic close in
fighter so keep your distance from this plumber.

Samus vs. Donkey Kong
Use the Charge Shot a lot because Donkey Kong has no projectiles to
counter them with. I think every attack does fine against Donkey Kong.
Avoid his Giant Punch and don't let him throw you or walk off the edge
with you.

Samus vs. Link
You both have long range throws. Link's projectiles aren't very
hard to avoid so don't worry about them too much. The Charge Shot works
well. Be careful when juggling Link because you don't want him to use
the Downward Sword Stab. If you're fighting a beginning Link player than
expect a lot of Bombs being hurled your way.

Samus vs. Samus
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. Stay below her to avoid the Screw Attack and to Screw Attack her.
The Charge Shot works well. Don't jump above her using Bombs because she
can Screw Attack you if you do that.

Samus vs. Yoshi
Yoshi is weak but when mastered can be annoying to fight against.
Counter his attacks with powerful ones of your own like the Screw
Attack. Don't let him Egg Lay you off the edge and counter the Butt Drop
with a Screw Attack or if Yoshi is close enough an Upward Flamethrower.

Samus vs. Kirby
Kirby will most likely try to steal your Charge Shot at all costs,
because it is the best attack in the game that Kirby can steal in my
opinion. Use the Screw Attack a lot here and throws work well too. The
Stone and Final Cutter can be hard to avoid but you will need to avoid
them in order to win.

Samus vs. Fox
Fox's laser is much faster than your Charge Shot. If Fox reflects
your Charge Shot back at you than avoid it at all costs, that move is
deadly. Fox has no attack that can penetrate juggles so juggle with
Upward Kick as you wish. The Screw Attack can really annoy him so use it
often.

Samus vs. Pikachu
Throw Pikachu around to rack up damage and get him out of the
arena. If you go above Pikachu than you're as good as fried! Stay
underneath Pikachu and use the Upward Flamethrower and the Screw Attack.
Like I mentioned before throws are a good way to get Pikachu out of the
arena.

Samus vs. Luigi
Luigi can be a very difficult opponent in the hands of a master.
Luigi's Fireballs are faster than your Charge Shot but is much weaker.
If he misses a Super Jump Punch than use the Screw Attack or if you
think you can pull it off the Upward Flamethrower. Avoid the Luigi
Cyclone the best you can by staying away. Samus is a pathetic close in
fighter so keep your distance from Luigi.

Samus vs. Captain Falcon
Captain Falcon is fast so keep him away from you with Charge Shots.
He is a much better fighter close in than Samus so don't try it. If you
see him using the Falcon Grab to get back on the playing field than jump
into him to leave him helpless. The Screw Attack works if Captain Falcon
comes to close.

Samus vs. Ness
Most cunning Ness players will absorb your Charge Shot so if you're
going to use it than make sure you're close in and that it's not
predictable. Ness' main strength is in his offense so make him play
defense by attacking him constantly.

Samus vs. Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff is pretty easy being Samus. Throwing can keep her at bay
but it isn't the only way. When you're underneath her Screw Attack or if
you're on the ground than Upward Flamethrower. Jigglypuff is light so
throws can do good damage and can kill very well too.

~YOSHI~

Yoshi vs. Mario
This is a hard fight. You're probably going to have to rely on a
lot of hit and run tactics to win this battle and lots of throws to.
Yoshi doesn't even come close to Mario's power so try to win with
cunning. Remember, you can slightly aim the Egg Bomb so you can hit him
with it when Mario is in front of you.

Yoshi vs. Donkey Kong
There is a big strength difference here, but Donkey Kong is big and
vulnerable to Egg Bombs. You're faster than him so just be quick and
agile. Just like with the Mario fight it's best to outsmart Donkey Kong
to win. Throws might be necessary just avoid the Giant Punch!

Yoshi vs. Link
Link's projectiles aren't very good but it his close in sword
attacks will send you packing so stay away using Egg Bomb. If the Link
that you are playing is slow than the Butt Drop will work because he
probably won't be able to start juggling you in time. The Egg Lay
followed by a Butt Drop combo is useful, and egging Link off the edge
can work to because Link is a bad jumper.

Yoshi vs. Samus
Samus' attacks are much stronger so you might have to rely on items
here. A lot of A button attacks should do it, just don't let her Screw
Attack you because that move racks up damage like that. The Charge Shot
gets annoying so avoid it the best you can.

Yoshi vs. Yoshi
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. Just use a lot of A button attacks and the Butt Drop. The Egg Lay
can set him up for a Butt Drop. Don't let him egg you off the, instead
try egging him off the edge.

Yoshi vs. Kirby
Don't worry too much about Kirby stealing your Egg Lay, it's not
too good of a move. Use a lot of throws because Kirby is very light. Not
much to say about this one. Egging Kirby off the edge works but if he
breaks out he will probably be able to make it back with his multiple
jumps.

Yoshi vs. Fox
Fox's projectile is fast so prepare to do a lot of jumping. Don't
use the Butt Drop or Egg Bomb on experienced Fox players because they'll
just take advantage of the lag time for the Butt Drop and Egg Bomb. The
Egg Lay can set up Fox for a strong attack like the Butt Drop.

Yoshi vs. Pikachu
Don't jump above him or he'll Thunder you. Stay low and use the Egg
Bomb when Pikachu is in the air. You might be able to egg Pikachu off
the edge, but he might be able to Double Quick Attack his way back up.
Use lots of strong A button attacks and throw to because Pikachu is
light.

Yoshi vs. Luigi
Luigi is a powerful opponent, and Yoshi has no advantages over him.
Personally, I wouldn't use Yoshi anyway, but if you insist on using
Yoshi than I'll give you tips. If he misses a Super Jump Punch than Egg
Bomb him. You're probably going to have to rely on a lot of hit and run
tactics to win this battle and lots of throws to. Yoshi doesn't even
come close to Mario's power so try to win with cunning. Remember, you
can slightly aim the Egg Bomb so you can hit him with it when Mario is
in front of you.

Yoshi vs. Captain Falcon
Captain Falcon is fast so watch out. If he jumps in the air and
does a Falcon Grab than Egg Bomb him than try to kick him off the edge
before Captain Falcon can hit the ground and he will be helpless if he
can't touch the ground. Using the Butt Drop is risky because Captain
Falcon could just jump up and Falcon Grab you away. Avoid the Falcon
Punch and Falcon Kick and you have the defense covered.

Yoshi vs. Ness
Just hope that the Ness player that you are playing isn't
experienced because beginners, especially ones who haven't mastered
Ness' triple jump, will often lose trying to execute one and missing. If
he is experienced though than watch out! Ness' PK Shield cannot absorb
Yoshi's Egg Bomb so don't worry about that. Whenever he tries to hit you
with PK Thunder or PK Fire than shield.

Yoshi vs. Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff isn't very good, but hey neither is Yoshi! If you catch
Jigglypuff using all of her jumps than juggle her before she can hit the
ground and she'll be helpless. If she uses Sing than just sit their and
get pounded, because that is really all that you can do! If she misses
you with a rest than use the Egg Lay followed by a Butt Drop combo.

~KIRBY~

Kirby vs. Mario
Steal Mario's Fireballs right off the start. Use the Final Cutter a
lot and try to hit him with the sword and not just the wave. Harassing
him with Fireballs works well. Stone him or throw him when he is high in
damage. Mario is a strong offensive character so defend against his
Mario Tornado and Super Jump Punch.

Kirby vs. Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong is strong, Kirby is light, and when you put that
together you get a situation. Stay on the offensive and force Donkey
Kong to play defensive so that he can't use his strong attacks on you.
The Stone works well. Donkey Kong is heavy so you will need to inflict a
fair amount of damage before you can hit him off with a smash attack.

Kirby vs. Link
You don't need to steal Link's Boomerang but it can annoy Link if
you keep using it. If Link tries to get in a sword fight with you, than
keep using Final Cutter until he surrenders. Link probably won't be able
to juggle you while you're preparing for a Stone attack, so don't worry
about that.

Kirby vs. Samus
Steal Samus' Charge Shot at all costs, it will come in handy!
Charge your Charge Shot whenever you can and if Samus rushes you while
you're charging than stop charging and throw her, than continues
charging. Stone her when she least expects it so that she won't be able
to counter it with a Screw Attack or Upward Flamethrower.

Kirby vs. Yoshi
The Egg Lay technique can come in handy if you steal it. Try to get
Yoshi in an egg and than Stone him for big damage. Yoshi's strongest
attack is the Butt Drop so don't let him use it by staying high and
using Stone. His Egg Bomb will be hard to aim if you are directly above
Yoshi because it arcs forward.

Kirby vs. Kirby
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You can't steal his power unless he has one that he stole from
another character. Use the Stone and Final Cutter to rack up damage and
throw him when he is high in damage.

Kirby vs. Fox
Fox's Blaster Shot is a fast quick move that you can pull off if
you need something fast so steal it. If you use Stone make sure that you
are high above Fox or else he might start juggling you. Keep in mind
that if you steal Fox's Blaster Shot than Fox can use his Reflector to
reflect them back at you.

Kirby vs. Pikachu
Stay below him to avoid the Thunder. Don't use Stone unless you're
sure that Pikachu won't be able to Thunder you in time. Throws work well
because Pikachu is light, but keep in mind that you are to so try to
take minimal damage.

Kirby vs. Luigi
Luigi's Fireballs aren't as good as Mario's but are still worth
stealing. Don't let Luigi Super Jump Punch you when preparing for a
Stone especially if he knows how to catch them on fire. The Final Cutter
can rack up his damage and keep him from attacking you with his strong
and powerful attacks.

Kirby vs. Captain Falcon
You can steal the Falcon Punch and I would if I were you. If
Captain Falcon is falling down after a hit than you might be able start
a Falcon Punch while Captain Falcon is in the air and it will hit by the
time Captain Falcon falls down. The Stone makes a great surprise attack
but watch out, Captain Falcon is the fastest character in the game.

Kirby vs. Ness
Steal Ness' PK Fire because it's a great move. Ness doesn't have
any good moves to counter Stone so you can use it freely. If you don't
take his PK Fire than you can suck him in, spit him out, and repeat
until he gets annoyed, high in damage, or both!

Kirby vs. Jigglypuff
Remember, you are both light and you can both fly. If you're having
trouble making it back to the playing field than steal Jigglypuff's
Pound move. After each jump press B to jump a farther distance.
Jigglypuff is light and a Stone would send her flying at about 85%.

~FOX~

Fox vs. Mario
Your Blaster Shot is faster than Mario's Fireballs so you can use
Blaster Shots to cancel out his Fireballs. You have a speed advantage so
use that to beat him to items and to perform hit and runs if necessary.
You could also possibly juggle him although I'm not sure if the Mario
Tornado would suck you in.

Fox vs. Donkey Kong
Use the Blaster Shot a lot because Donkey Kong has no projectiles
to counter them with. Donkey Kong is so strong and you are so weak so
just hang back using your Blaster Shot. Also, he is the slowest
character in the game and Fox is second fastest so that makes it even
easier.

Fox vs. Link
Use the Blaster Shot a lot because it can become annoying. Be
careful when juggling, Link's Downward Sword Stab can penetrate your
juggles. You can't reflect Link's Bombs or his Boomerang so don't try.
The Blaster Shot should be your main weapon here.

Fox vs. Samus
Reflect Samus' Charge Shot back at her for big damage. The Blaster
Shot is much faster than Samus' Charge Shot so use that to your
advantage. Samus' Bombs are weak so the Firefox might come in handy as a
good attack.

Fox vs. Yoshi
Yoshi is weak, use a lot of throws and it's safe to juggle Yoshi
too. Use Blaster Shots from far away. You can't reflect Yoshi's Egg Bomb
so don't try. The Firefox can roast him when high in the air. Stay away
from him when he is by the edge or else he might egg you off the edge.

Fox vs. Kirby
Don't let him steal your Blaster Shot, it is one of the best B
button moves in the game. Keep firing off lots of blaster shots and
throw him when he gets close. Repeat. When high in damage throw him off
or hit him with a power hit. Juggling him is also effective.

Fox vs. Fox
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. Don't let him use his Reflector on your Blaster Shots. Use your
Reflector on his Blaster Shots. Try to juggle him and since Fox has no
downward aerial power-hit that can penetrate juggles you can juggle as
you wish.

Fox vs. Pikachu
Pikachu is light so use lots of throws. Blaster Shots from far away
work for almost everybody and Pikachu is no exception. Stay low to avoid
the Thunder, many Pikachu players overuse that move including myself
(yes, I sometimes play as Pikachu). The Electric Drill and Downward
Electric Drill are way underrated, so try to avoid them.

Fox vs. Luigi
Luigi has an advantage over you in everything except speed and
speed of projectile. The Reflector can reflect Luigi's Fireballs back at
him. Stay low to avoid the Super Jump Punch especially if your opponent
knows how to catch them on fire.

Fox vs. Captain Falcon
This is the only faster opponent than yourself. Take Captain
Falcon's lack of projectiles to your advantage by staying away and
shooting numerous Blaster Shots. Also, staying away also prevents
Captain Falcon's very strong punches and kicks.

Fox vs. Ness
Don't use the Blaster Shot unless you're sure that Ness doesn't
have any time to put up his PK Shield. Juggle Ness as you wish because
he has no move that can penetrate juggles. When Ness is stunned use the
Firefox move.

Fox vs. Jigglypuff
Just like Captain Falcon and Donkey Kong, Jigglypuff doesn't have a
projectile so just stay away and use rapid fire Blaster Shots. Juggling
is also fine. Jigglypuff is so light so throws work fantastic here.
Also, don't let Jigglypuff put you to sleep because that is the only way
that she will get a hit on you.

~PIKACHU~

Pikachu vs. Mario
Stay low and use Thunder. This way you will avoid the Super Jump
Punch and hopefully not get caught in any Mario Tornadoes. Dodge his
Fireballs and use lots of Electric Drill attacks. Also, the Thunderjolt
doesn't always cancel out Mario's Fireballs, it sometimes hops under or
over them.

Pikachu vs. Donkey Kong
Use Thunderjolt a lot because Donkey Kong has no projectiles to
counter them with. Pikachu is so light and Donkey Kong is so strong, so
the answer to success is to electrify him to a crisp and to not let him
use his Giant Punch or throws. The Electric Drill hits Donkey Kong many
times.

Pikachu vs. Link
Don't get Thunder happy here, the Downward Sword Stab is Link's
best attack and it can be used when you try to use Thunder. If Link
tries to juggle you than Double Quick Attack away. Thunderjolts are hard
for Link to avoid because Link is a bad jumper. Steer clear of Link's
Bombs and his Boomerang.

Pikachu vs. Samus
Samus' Bombs are weak so just stay low using Thunder. Staying low
also helps you avoid the Screw Attack and the Upward Flamethrower. You
have to avoid the Charge Shot to be good here, that move is deadly.
Samus is a bad fighter so stay close and hit her with lots of Electric
Drills.

Pikachu vs. Yoshi
Yoshi can be juggled relentlessly with Thunder because if he is
high in the air when you use it he won't be able to pull off a Butt Drop
in time. Electric Drills come in handy. Don't let him Egg Bomb you and
especially don't let him Butt Drop you. The Egg Lay isn't much of a
problem but it gets annoying.

Pikachu vs. Kirby
Thunderjolt can get annoying if Kirby copies it and constantly uses
it on you. If Kirby is high in the air than Thunder the heck out of him.
If he is on the ground than use Pikachu's electric throw. Avoiding Stone
and Final Cutter is very important because Pikachu is so light.

Pikachu vs. Fox
Fox can use his Reflector on your Thunderjolts so be careful when
using them. Fox has no strong moves for while he is in the air so
Thunder is a good move here. Dodging his Blaster Shots can be tricky but
it is essential in beating Fox.

Pikachu vs. Pikachu
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. Stay low and use Thunder a lot. If he catches on and stays low just
like you than use a lot of Thunderjolts to slow him down. Whatever you
do don't jump above him or else he'll Thunder you.

Pikachu vs. Luigi
Luigi is a tough opponent so watch out for the flaming Super Jump
Punch it is deadly. Luigi Cyclones can't combo much but they are a lot
stronger than Mario Tornadoes so don't take them lightly. Fireballs can
be hard to avoid sometimes but try your best to dodge them because even
though they do little damage, a whole barrage of them can rack up damage
quite quickly.

Pikachu vs. Captain Falcon
Captain Falcon is fast and strong and there isn't much that you can
do about it, so just lots of hit and runs and Thunders. Electric Drills
can save you if you're put in a bad position. Captain Falcon has no
projectiles so use the Thunderjolt a lot.

Pikachu vs. Ness
Your Thunderjolts can be absorbed by Ness' PK Magnet so don't use
them too much. Thunder is safe to use because Ness has no overpowering
downward aerial power hit. Electric Drills can't be countered with
anything major. Ness' projectiles, PK Thunder and PK Fire, both leave
him open to attack so take advantage of that and attack him while he is
vulnerable.

Pikachu vs. Jigglypuff
If Jigglypuff is flying in the air keep Thundering her and there
won't be much that Jigglypuff can do about it. Jigglypuff is light just
like you so use lots of shocking throws. Jigglypuff has no projectile so
Thunderjolts from far back are handy.

~LUIGI~

Luigi vs. Mario
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You are the better Mario Brother though, so have that as a
comforting thought. You can cancel out his Fireballs with Fireballs of
your own. If he misses a Super Jump Punch than use one of your own.

Luigi vs. Donkey Kong
Use Fireballs a lot because Donkey Kong has no projectiles to
counter them with. If you know how to catch opponents on fire with the
Super Jump Punch than constantly hit him with that. Luigi Cyclones can
prepare him for Super Jump Punches.

Luigi vs. Link
Luigi Cyclones work well here. Super Jump Punches that catch on
fire can smoke Link into oblivion easily. Fireballs can harass Link from
far back because both of his projectiles have long windup. Don't let him
use his numerous sword attacks on you by staying away.

Luigi vs. Samus
Your Fireballs are faster than Samus' Charge Shot so take that to
your advantage. Samus is all about powerful attacks, so keep her trapped
in combos and juggles to prevent her from using them. Be quick and stay
on the offensive. Samus has a slow throw so tempt her to use it and then
come in will the Luigi Cyclone.

Luigi vs. Yoshi
Yoshi isn't much of a problem. Don't let him egg you off the edge
and use endless Luigi Cyclones. He shouldn't be able to escape easily
from that combo. Mostly anything will get rid of Yoshi. Fireballs from
far back work because Yoshi's Egg Bomb move is lousy. If he tries to
Butt Drop on you than use the Super Jump Punch.

Luigi vs. Kirby
Don't let Kirby steal your Fireballs or else he will most likely
use them on you a lot. Throw a lot and hit him with lots of combos like
the Luigi Cyclone followed by a Super Jump Punch strategy. Avoid Stone
and Final Cutter and you have the defense pretty much covered.

Luigi vs.

Luigi vs.

Luigi vs. Luigi
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You can cancel out his Fireballs with Fireballs of your own. If he
misses a Super Jump Punch than use one of your own. It is mostly based
on skill with Luigi here.

Luigi vs.

Luigi vs. Ness
Use Fireballs with caution because Ness has a PK Shield. Ness' main
strength is in his offense, so don't let him play an offensive game and
force him to try and play defense. Luigi Cyclones and Super Jump Punches
work great here. Beginning Ness players might not realize that they can
absorb your Fireballs so it really just depends on who you are fighting.

Luigi vs. Jigglypuff
This is not even a fight if you're a skilled Luigi player.
Jigglypuff is easily beaten with power so just throw all of your
strongest attacks at her to defeat her. Only skilled Jigglypuff players
that know how to juggle pose any kind of threat at all.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

Captain Falcon vs. Mario
You are much faster than Mario so hit and runs might work. If Mario
misses a Super Jump Punch than catch him with a Falcon Grab or even a
Falcon Punch if you have good timing. Captain Falcon is the best close
in fighter in the game so stay close and hit him with punches and kicks.

Captain Falcon vs. Donkey Kong
This is the biggest speed advantage in the game so just use hit and
runs to avoid his powerful Giant Punches and Spinning Kongs. He has no
projectile just like you so it is mostly a fighting battle. He is a big
target for your Falcon Punch.

Captain Falcon vs. Link
You're fast so stay close to him. That way he won't be able to set
up bombs because if he tries you'll be able to pound him in time. If he
jumps in the air than Falcon Grab him. Falcon Punch won't work unless
you have godly timing.

Captain Falcon vs. Samus
Samus' projectile takes a long time to set up so while she's
charging run up and Falcon Punch or Falcon Kick. Avoid the Screw Attack
by staying out of the air and if she jumps high dropping bombs try to
dodge them and Falcon Grab her in the air.

Captain Falcon vs. Yoshi
Don't use the Falcon Grab for jumping purposes or else that sets
you up for an Egg Bomb. Yoshi isn't to fast so Falcon Kicks can catch
him off guard. Flaming Kicks work just as well if you have time. If he
uses his double jump in the air than Falcon Grab him.

Captain Falcon vs. Kirby
The Falcon Punch has some delay, so if Kirby copies it than just
dodge it when he uses it. Falcon Grabs are better than throws here so
just use a Falcon Grab when you want to throw Kirby off. Falcon Kicks
work well as do Flaming Kicks.

Captain Falcon vs. Fox
He is fast, but you are faster! The biggest problem is the Blaster
Shot, if you can dodge it than this fight shouldn't be very hard. Like
for everybody use Falcon Grab when he's in the air and Falcon Kick on
the ground.

Captain Falcon vs. Pikachu
Pikachu is small but can be deadly. Don't jump above him unless you
want to be fried! After he has used Teleport, Falcon Grab him off the
edge. Pikachu's Thunderjolt has some lag time and recovery time so if
you suspect that he is going to use it than jump up and Falcon Kick him.

Captain Falcon vs. Luigi
Luigi is powerful but Captain Falcon is probably a better close in
fighter. Stay close to disable his Fireballs and since you are fast hit
and runs should be very easy. Use lots of Flaming Kicks and Falcon
Kicks.

Captain Falcon vs. Captain Falcon
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. You are both fast so try to be faster than him. Many Captain Falcon
players tend to way overuse Falcon Punch so just dodge it, it shouldn't
be to hard. Many Captain Falcon players also underestimate the Falcon
Grab, it is great for keeping people off the edge, so use it a lot.

Captain Falcon vs. Ness
If he tries to save himself with PK Thunder than go out and Falcon
Grab him to keep him off the edge and he'll be helpless. Ness has the
best projectile in the game but he is slow so just stay close to him and
watch out for the yo-yo.

Captain Falcon vs. Jigglypuff
This is usually an easy fight. If she misses you with a Rest attack
than just Falcon Punch her into space. If she tries to puff her way back
than Falcon Grab her. Flaming Kick is good for racking up damage. Use
Falcon Kick to attack from the air.

~NESS~

Ness vs. Mario
Absorb his fireballs. Stay below him or else he'll Super Jump
Punch you. If he is in the air and he is coming down with a Mario
Tornado, then just use the Vertical Yo-Yo. If he does happen to try to
Super Jump Punch you than dodge it and start juggling him.

Ness vs. Donkey Kong
PK Fire is very useful here. Play somewhat defensively because he
is so strong and Ness is so light. Don't let him hit you and you'll be
fine. For those of you Ness players who aren't exactly the best at
aiming the PK Thunder into your opponent, don't worry because DK is a
very big target. DK has nothing for Ness to absorb with the PK Shield.

Ness vs. Link
You must realize that Ness' PK Shield cannot absorb Link's
boomerang or his bombs. When Link is trying to get back onto the playing
field, use PK Thunder and PK Fire to keep him off, because Link has the
worst triple jump in the game in my opinion.

Ness vs. Samus
A very worthy opponent, Samus is one of my favourite characters and
you'll find out why when you fight her. The Screw Attack can get very
annoying. Absorb her Charge Shot. Samus' bombs cannot be absorbed with
PK Shield. The Upward Flamethrower is the most damaging attack in the
game so watch out! Try to keep her off the edge once she is over with
your PKs. Overall a very difficult opponent.

Ness vs. Yoshi
Stick to A button attacks like the bat or yo-yo. Don't fall for any
Yoshis waiting by the edge because they're trying to egg you off the
edge. Yoshi has a very good double jump so usually you can't knock him
off unless he blows up in the background. His Egg Bomb attack can't be
absorbed so don't try! Yoshi is pretty weak so you shouldn't have much
trouble smacking him around.

Ness vs. Kirby
Kirby is one mean cream puff! Stone and Final Cutter are great
moves! His one weakness is that he is very light, so stay on the offense
most of the time. Absorb the wave from his Final Cutter. Not much to say
about this one. However, make sure that he doesn't steal your PK Fire
because that's a good move.

Ness vs. Fox
Absorb his blaster shots. Fox is very fast so stay on the move
lots. Attack from a distance. If he reflects your PK Fire back at you
try to absorb it although you probably won't have enough time to put up
your shield. Watch out for the juggle, because that is one of Fox's
greatest strengths.

Ness vs. Pikachu
Absorb his Thunderjolt. Don't put yourself in position for a
Thunder because that move is deadly. Use moves like the bat and yo-yo.
Lots of physical attacks and throws should keep this electric mouse at
bay.

Ness vs. Luigi
Absorb his fireballs. Stay below him or else he'll Super Jump
Punch you. If he is in the air and he is coming down with a Luigi
Cyclone, then just use the Vertical Yo-Yo. If he does happen to try to
Super Jump Punch you than dodge it and start juggling him.

Ness vs. Captain Falcon
Not exactly easy. Try to avoid his Falcon Punch/Kick. Firing your
PK Thunder from far away should do the trick. Stay away from him because
he is strong and fast. Hit him with projectiles, and you must be quick.

Ness vs. Ness
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. Don't use PK Thunder and PK Fire against an advanced Ness player
because he will absorb them. A beginner probably won't think of that
idea though. Absorb his PKs. Your bat and yo-yo are useful here. If he
looks like he is trying to smack himself into you with PK Thunder than
dodge it.

Ness vs. Jigglypuff
This fight is a joke! Attack from a distance most of the time
because Jigglypuff has no projectiles and she won't be able to even
touch you. Don't be afraid to mix in the bat or yo-yo once in awhile. An
easy battle unless you're playing a skilled Jigglypuff player. If so
watch out for the juggle!

~JIGGLYPUFF~

Jigglypuff vs. Mario
Oh man, is Mario hard! I suggest you use a lot of hit and run
tactics because if you're far away than he can't hit you unless he uses
his Fireballs. Use the Sing and Rest Combo when he is high in damage. A
very hard fight, because Mario is a great character.

Jigglypuff vs. Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong is a big target so just juggle him. Don't let him hit
you with a fully charged Giant Punch or you're gone! Use sing a lot to
set up throws. If you're having trouble juggling than use the hit and
run tactics just like Mario.

Jigglypuff vs. Link
Link's projectiles aren't very good ones so staying away is a good
idea. Be careful when juggling because Link's Downward Sword Stab can
penetrate juggles. Try to use the Sing and Rest strategy when he is high
in damage. Hit and runs don't always work well if Link plays it smart
and uses the Spinning Sword Slash when you run up to him.

Jigglypuff vs. Samus
This fight is one of the hardest fights in the game. Don't try to
juggle or you'll be Screw Attacked like crazy. Use lots of throws and
try to catch Samus off guard. There's not always much that you can do
about Samus' powerful attacks so just try everything and anything. I
wouldn't even bother being Jigglypuff against Samus, that is just plain
suicide!

Jigglypuff vs. Yoshi
In my opinion the two worst characters in the game. Use lots of
throws and juggle him because there isn't much that Yoshi can do to
defend himself. When Yoshi is high in damage, throw him off or use the
Sing and Rest strategy.

Jigglypuff vs. Kirby
Balloon vs. Air bag! Air bag or not, Kirby is a dangerous foe! If
Kirby uses Stone than dodge it, throw him, and juggle. Use a lot of
throws because Kirby is light just like Jigglypuff. Don't worry if Kirby
steals your power, Pound is a crummy move anyway.

Jigglypuff vs. Fox
Fox is another good juggler but I think Jigglypuff is a better
juggler. Throw Fox a lot and dodge his Blaster Shot. Don't let him use
that crummy Firefox on you, if he starts it just juggle him. When he is
high in damage, use the Sing and Rest strategy.

Jigglypuff vs. Pikachu
Don't let Pikachu use Thunder, that move is downright deadly! Many
Pikachu players overuse Thunder a lot, so stay below Pikachu and juggle
him. Pikachu is in my opinion the better pokémon but Pikachu can still
be defeated if you use a lot of throws, because Pikachu is light, just
like Jigglypuff.

Jigglypuff vs. Luigi
This is another one of the hardest fights. I suggest you use a lot
of hit and run tactics because if you're far away than he can't hit you
unless he uses his Fireballs. Use the Sing and Rest Combo when he is
high in damage. A very hard fight, because Luigi is a great fighter.

Jigglypuff vs. Captain Falcon
You must be quick or you're toast! Captain Falcon is the fastest
character in the game. If he uses Falcon Kick while you're juggling him,
than just stop juggling him! Throwing him is a good idea, just don't let
him land a Falcon Punch on you or fasten your seat belts and enjoy the
ride!

Jigglypuff vs. Ness
Oh man, this is the hardest fight in the game. Weakest character
against strongest character, ouch! Ness is slow though, so try to win
with speed. If he sends out a PK Thunder than quickly run over to him
and put him to sleep with Sing followed by whatever you like, maybe a
Rest attack, or a throw.

Jigglypuff vs. Jigglypuff
This can be a tough fight because if you use one trick too many
times than your opponent can catch on and use the same trick against
you. It really only depends on who is better. Most Jigglypuff players
tend to overuse Sing, thinking that it's such a cool move. Use hit and
run so that she can't Sing or Rest. Juggling is also good because
Jigglypuff can't counter juggles.

18) Multiplayer Strategy
************************************************************************

This will be in 13 parts. 1 general part that applies to everyone,
and 12 separate parts for each character. Sorry for the lack of tips I
will add more in a later version.

~GENERAL~

- if an opponent grabs onto the edge while coming back onto the stage,
than back up. You don't want them to do an edge attack on you.

- use combos a lot, they can really PO your opponents.

- good stages to pull of infinite combos(tap A repeatedly) in are Hyrule
Castle, Sector Z, and Saffron City because they all have walls.

- don't wait until your opponent is at 200% to try to knock them off,
try to throw them at around 100% damage.

- When you overuse certain moves the amount of damage they do decreases.

- in timed matches, always try to be the last person to hit players that
are falling off the edge.

- juggle a lot. It's a very good technique.

- when opponents are trying to come back on the playing field, hit them
with projectiles.

- once some items are out of ammo like the Ray Gun or Fire Flower, throw
them to do extra damage.

- blocking and rolling are techniques that many people don't use but
they are very important.

- if you manage to come back onto the playing field by grabbing onto the
edge and another player is trying to comeback, than stay on the edge.
Doing this keeps the other player from grabbing onto the edge since only
one character can be on at a time, and that could be the difference of
life and death for him.

~MARIO~

- Mario and Luigi are possibly the easiest characters to master and they
are my personal favourites along with Captain Falcon and Samus.

- stay on the offensive. Mario is one of the most offensive characters.

- toss Fireballs at opponents who are trying to come back on the playing
field.

- when fighting characters with no projectiles(Donkey Kong, Captain
Falcon, and Jigglypuff) just stay back throwing Fireballs.

- the best way to win with Mario is to use lots of combos and juggles.

- you don't need to be under your opponents for the Super Jump Punch to
connect, as long as you are touching them.

- try to get multiple opponents sucked into a Mario Tornado.

- if Ness tries to save himself from falling off the edge with the PK
Thunder than hit him with a Fireball before the PK Thunder can hit him
and he'll be helpless.

- Mario's Fireballs bounce unlike Luigi's.

~DONKEY KONG~

- charge your Giant Punch every opportunity that you get.

- sometimes you walk right off the edge with your opponent, throw them,
and still make it back up, but it will take practice.

- the Hand Slap can clearout a group of opponents if you are surrounded
by a lot.

- take advantage of Donkey Kong's ability to walk while holding his
opponents.

~LINK~

- if your opponents are trying to make it back to the playing field and
they have already used their triple jump, than use the hookshot, throw
them back out and they will be helpless!

- throw your Boomerang at players who are trying to come back onto the
playing field.

- good Link players usually rely more on their sword attacks.

- Link's bombs can hurt himself.

~SAMUS~

- charge your Charge Shot every opportunity that you get.

- if your opponents are trying to make it back to the playing field and
they have already used their triple jump, than grapple onto them, throw
them back out and they will be helpless!

- if you're fast enough than you can juggle your opponents off the edge
with small uncharged Charge Shots.

- note that the Downward Flamethrower isn't nearly as strong as the
Upward Flamethrower.

- Samus can sometimes break out of infinite combos with the Screw
Attack.

- Samus is a bad fighter close-in so don't try it.

- use the Screw Attack often, it's Samus most useful move.

- use the Upward Flamethrower every opportunity that you get, it's the
most damaging move in the game.

- Samus' bombs don't hurt her.

~YOSHI~

- attack your opponents when they are trapped in an egg.

- Yoshi's Egg Bomb can be somewhat controlled with the control stick.

- probably the cheapest attack that Yoshi has is to wait by the edge,
and when somebody charges you, use the Egg Lay and they will fall of the
edge still trapped in the egg!

~KIRBY~

- the Stone protects you from everything except throws and the hammer.

- as you know, Kirby can copy his opponents B button attacks. Here I
will make a little chart on the moves that he can get. They are in order
from best to worst(the moves, not the characters).
CHARACTER          COSTUME                  MOVE
Samus              Samus' helmet            Charge Shot
Ness               Ness' hat                PK Fire
DK                 DK's skin                Giant Punch
Fox                Fox's ears               Blaster Shot
Mario              Mario's hat              Fireball
Luigi              Luigi's hat              Fireball
Captain Falcon     Captain Falcon's helmet  Falcon Punch
Link               Link's hat               Boomerang
Yoshi              Yoshi's head             Egg Lay
Pikachu            Pikachu's ears           Thunderjolt
Jigglypuff         Jigglypuff's ears        Pound

- Kirby has the easiest infinite combo to pull off, take advantage of
it.

- try to stay on the offensive because Kirby is knocked away so easily.

~FOX~

- if you want to win you should use the Blaster Shot a lot.

- the Firefox makes a crummy attack, but a good comeback move.

- Fox's reflector will break after a while.

- it is very difficult for your opponents to escape projectiles that you
reflect back at them.

- Fox is very fast and a good juggler so try to keep your opponents in
the air a lot to juggle them.

~PIKACHU~

- when used in the air, the Thunderjolt will turn into an electric ball.

- use Thunder when your opponents least expect it.

- try to stay on the offensive because Pikachu is knocked away so
easily.

- the electric drill is one of Pikachu's best move, use it a lot.

- Pikachu is so small that he can duck under many projectile attacks.

~LUIGI~

- Luigi and Mario are possibly the easiest characters to master and they
are my personal favourites along with Captain Falcon and Samus.

- stay on the offensive. Luigi is one of the most offensive characters.

- toss Fireballs at opponents who are trying to come back on the playing
field.

- when fighting characters with no projectiles(Donkey Kong, Captain
Falcon, and Jigglypuff) just stay back throwing Fireballs.

- you don't need to be under your opponents for the Super Jump Punch to
connect, as long as you are touching them.

- if Ness tries to save himself from falling off the edge with the PK
Thunder than hit him with a Fireball before the PK Thunder can hit him
and he'll be helpless.

- Luigi's Fireballs go straight unlike Mario's.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

- the Falcon Grab is Captain Falcon's best option for keeping opponents
off the playing field.

- some people think that Captain Falcon is hard to master, but I beg to
differ. He is fast, therefore making him a great character for
beginners.

- don't use the Falcon Punch too much, it has a big delay.

- the Falcon Kick is one of Captain Falcon's most important moves.

- this tip is for when playing against Captain Falcon. If Captain Falcon
is trying to come back onto the playing field and you catch him using
the Falcon Grab then jump into him. That may sound like suicide, but it
will force him to throw you therefore pushing himself backwards leaving
him helpless since he can't do another jump. Also if you jumped out a
bit too far while using this trick, than the push he gives you will help
you get back on the playing field!

~NESS~

- Ness is hard to unlock but he is worth it. He is the cheapest
character in the game with his PK Thunder attack.

- Ness is the hardest character to master, I recommend taking him into
training mode first to master him, especially his PK Thunder.

- as you know, Ness can absorb projectiles with his PK Shield. But his
PK Shield does not work against all projectiles. Here is a list of
things that the PK Shield can absorb.

Ray Gun Blasts
Fire Flower
PK Fire
PK  Thunder
Luigi's Fireballs
Mario's Fireballs
Metal Mario's Fireballs
Samus' Charge Shot
Fox's Blaster Shot
Kirby's Final Cutter
Pikachu's Thunderjolt
Master Hand's Bullets
Arwing Laser Blasts
Fire Flower Flames
Star Rod Stars
Starmie's Star Shots
Meowth's Coins
Charizard's Flames

- Ness' bat can deflect projectiles!

- to do Ness' triple jump, send out a PK Thunder and steer it to hit
Ness in the butt and he will go flying!

- try to stay on the offensive because Ness is knocked away so easily.

- use PK Thunder on your opponents when they are trying to come back
onto the platform.

- take note that PK Fire doesn't have very good range.

- one good tactic is to throw a PK Fire at the enemy and then grab them
therefore they won't be able to escape the PK Fire, and it will keep
burning them.

- in a team game, turn Team Attack on and have Ness' teammate shoot
projectiles at Ness with his PK Shield up.

- Don't rely on your B button attacks as they leave you vulnerable.

~JIGGLYPUFF~

- don't use Rest unless it's a 1-1 match, because if it's not than other
players can still hit you.

- the Sing attack is way overrated, don't use it unless you're trying to
set up a Rest attack or a throw.

- try to stay on the offensive because Jigglypuff is knocked away so
easily.

- Jigglypuff's best asset is her juggling skill, use it to your
advantage.

- Jigglypuff is great for humiliating your friends with(by beating them
with her)!

- the Sing Attack is great in team games because your teammate can
follow it up with his/her strongest attack.

- Jigglypuff takes a lot of skill to master so don't expect to be good
with her right from the start.

************************************************************************
19) Team Strategy
************************************************************************

Here I will just list a bunch of general tips for team battles.

- try double teaming one opponent. It makes it very hard for them.

- always help your teammate when he/she is in trouble.

- if one teammate has a weapon to charge like the Giant Punch or Charge
Shot, than the other teammate should guard him/her while he/she charges
it.

- if one of the teammates is Ness, than the other teammate should guard
him while he is using PK Thunder since Ness can't move while he is using
it.

- try doing combos with your teammate. For instance, if the team was
lets say Luigi and Jigglypuff, than Jigglypuff could throw the opponent
straight up in the air, and Luigi could finish it with a Flaming Super
Jump Punch!

- if one teammate is Link/Samus than have Link/Samus hookshot/grapple
onto the opponent and have the other teammate use their strongest attack
on the opponent while they are being held.

- in my opinion, the two best teams are Mario/Luigi and Ness/Samus.

- Ness makes a great teammate for almost everybody!

- in a team game, turn Team Attack on and have Ness' teammate shoot
projectiles at Ness with his PK Shield up.

- if Jigglypuff is one of the teammates than have the other teammate
guard her after a Rest attack since she is vulnerable.

************************************************************************
20) Juggling
************************************************************************

~MARIO~

Mario's best juggling move is the Flying Kick. It's better at
juggling than the Super Jump Punch because the Super Jump punch doesn't
send the opponent straight up, it sends them sideways. The Head Butt is
an okay juggling move for when you are on the ground but it is not
recommended.

~DONKEY KONG~

The Spinning Kong is a horrible juggling move. The Overhead Hand
Swat is pretty crummy juggler as well. DK's only potential juggling
attack is the Hand Clap, and that must be done on the ground. The
Overhead Hand Swat is bad juggler because it sends the enemy to the side
and not above where it needs to send them to be a good juggling move.

~LINK~

The Upward Sword Stab is a superb juggling move! It is very
difficult to escape from an Upward Sword Stab juggle! When your opponent
is high in the air after a few of these you might even be able to throw
a bomb up at them to damage them a lot.

~SAMUS~

The Screw Attack doesn't make a good juggling move because it sends
the opponent to the side and not above you. The Upward Kick is much
better at juggling. When you want to end the juggle, use a Screw Attack,
or even better the Upward Flamethrower(ouch)!

~YOSHI~

Yoshi is not much of a juggler, but the Flying Flip Kick can do its
damage. The Head Butt isn't recommended, but it can get the job done. If
you're looking for a big juggling and combo character, than this
shouldn't be your pick.

~KIRBY~

Kirby can certainly juggle with the Spin or the Flip Kick. The
Final Cutter is great for combos, but it can't juggle very well. Kirby's
throw can throw the enemy high in the air putting them in perfect
position for endless juggles. Kirby is a very offensive character and
should be watched at all costs.

~FOX~

Fox is a good juggler. The Upward Kick is very quick to pull of and
the Flip Kick can juggle when on the ground. Fox's juggling strength
lies in his speed and agility. His A button attacks are weak but fast so
a good Fox player will need to juggle to be effective.

~LUIGI~

The Super Jump Punch is a great juggling move only if it catches
fire, because then they go flying higher and it gives you time to get
back on your feet. The Flying Kick is also an effective juggler as is
the Head Butt, but the Head Butt isn't as good as the other two.

~CAPTAIN FALCON~

The Uppercut is good for juggling along the ground, but the Flip
Kick dominates air juggling. Captain Falcon is fast therefore making him
an effective juggler. If you want to end a juggle, and you have
excellent timing, you might be able to land a Falcon Punch as your
opponent lands and they won't be able to avoid it.

~NESS~

Ness is a good juggler. Both the Flying Head Butt and the Vertical
Yo-Yo are very effective. Ness is unique because he is better at
juggling from the ground then in the air. Also if your opponent is high
enough, you can be cheap and shoot out PK Thunders at them.

~JIGGLYPUFF~

Jigglypuff is possibly the best juggler in the game. The Overhead
Clap is a great juggling move and the perfect way to set opponents up
for them is to toss them upward with Jigglypuff's throw. All good
Jigglypuff players know how to juggle, and you will have to too if you
want to be effective.
