Version 0.7 - This version includes event summaries of most missions,
excluding those unique to Brad and Selein as well as a few others
(section 5); some pilots (section 7); and some secrets (only those that
I´ve been able to confirm myself) (section 6); as well as sections (1) and
(9), and a few questions in section 8.

(1)-Introduction

We lome to my SRW64 guide. My name is High_SRW. I´ve seen an increasing
interest in this game so I´ve decided to make a guide of my own. This
is my first attempt to make a guide so I´m definitely open to suggestions.
SRW64 is a very good game of one of the most popular franchises ever: Super
Robot Wars. This is one of the last "old school" tytles also (those prior to
the Alpha Series) but has a very complex story (I think at least, I don´t
know Japanese, that know the series) that make it enjoyable. While the
sprites don´t have animation, the graphics are very nice because of
their size, and there is a semi 3-D background. The sound has ten
points with excellent BGMs.

Finally, this guide will not cover the basic aspects of a strategy game.
This guide presumes you´ve at least played one SRW game before. I find this
game not the best one to start with the series since it can be a little
difficult to newcomers, specially if they´re not familiar with mecha anime
either.

This guide is dedicated to all the people from SRW Genesis.

Okay, this is the core of the guide. This will only include summaries
of the events of the missions. There won´t be detailed explanations
(I don´t think is neccesary, the general strategies that apply for
most missions, will be in section (4)) or story translations
(Mainly because, I don´t know Japanese). The names of the missions come
from Babelfish and a Japanese SRw64 site (see the last section) and
since the process involves a translator, they may be wrong. Any
corrections/suggestions you come up with, again, I´m all ears. The first
mission is unique to each Original: go to 01 if Ark, to 02 if Selein
(not available yet), to 08 if Brad (not available yet) and to 09 if
Selein.

All right. While most of them are covered in the walkthrough, they
are resumed here. I know there are more than those mentioned, but I
will only write the ones I´ve confirmed myself:

0079 Units: Gundam, Guntank, Guncannon:
(real routes only). They will appear as neutrals in Mission 07.
Initially, they´ll try to leave the map by moving into the green zone.
If they survive, you get the MS after the mission.

Worth: they are initially pretty weak but have a lot of upgrade blocks.
Only the Gundam has value but, again, you need to invest a lot of money
into it, and for such a sum, you can power up a better thing.

Aisha:
Independent Route: not confirmed yet.

C.Pacifism Route: persuade Aisha with Manami in Missions 54 and 55.
Aisha joins during Mission 59

OZ Route: not confirmed yet.

Worth: in the C.Pacifism route, you always get the Simurgh S, so
the only differences would be Aisha substituting Lawrence as the
subpilot. Don´t know if in the other routes you may keep the Elblus
separated.

Allenby and Nobel Gundam:
You may need to recruit Allenby twice and the process is a little
complex.For all cases, persuade Allenby (in her normal self) in
Missions 19 (real) or 20 (super).

If you go through the Independent Route, persuade Allenby with Domon
in Mission 41. Allenby will join after the stage. However, you must go
to missions 66 and 67. In mission 67, Allenby will become an enemy.
Persuade her with Domon and then with Rain in the same turn and she´ll
join after the mission. If you don´t go to 66 and 67, Allenby won´t
be available anymore.

If you go through OZ Route, persuade Allenby with Domon in Mission 100.
Allenby joins after the mission. Later, in mission 109, deploy Allenby
and when she appears as an enemy, persuade her with Domon and then Rain,
in the same turn. Allenby will join after the mission. Not sure what would
happen if you don´t deploy Allenby here.

If you go through C.P Route, you just need to make the second process:
persuade her with Domon, then Rain, in Missions 67/100.

If in any of those missions, you persuade her with Domon and end your turn
without persuading her with Rain, Won will call the Nobel Gundam, and then
Allenby will be the pilot of the Devil Gundam.

Worth: I haven´t tested her, but since she´s supposed to have combination
attacks with domon she´s sure to have some use.

Apolly and Robert:

There´s nothing secret in them, but they´re exclusive to the real routes.

Worth: their good point is that they get high skill levels. Still, there
are far better pilots.

Elrich and Nobulus:
Independent Route: persuade Elrich with Ark in Mission 44.
Then a$fter the mission, pick option 2 to go to Mission 45.

C.Pacifism Route: not confirmed yet

OZ Route: if you go through 92, persuade Elrich with Ark. Not sure if you
go through 94. Then persuade Elrich with Ark in Mission 99. After Mission
99 pick the second option.

Worth: while the Nobulus is not upgraded to a better mech, it´s pretty
good and Elrich is a better NewType than Non-aces (with the exceptions
of Rosamia, Four and the Purus).

Emma and Gundam Mk-II:
For Supers, in Mission 17 persuade Emma with Quatro. She joins after
the mission. Note that even if you kill her, you´ll get a Mk-II later.

Emma joins naturally in the Real routes, but in a Jeagan (you already
have a Mk-II).

Worth: I haven´t used her yet so no comments for now.

Erika:
(super routes only). After Mission 24, you´ll be asked a choice:
pick the first option to get Erika. She´s a Mazinger pilot.

Worth: again, recruiting her is no problem. Erika is quite weak, but
she is one of the few pilots to learn the Saido seishin, and she´ll
learn relatively fast (level 30). Other than that she´s fairly standart.

Worth: It depends on each case. I´d only go for the Funnels/Fin Funnels
since it differentiates between allies and enemies.

(OZ route only). You automatically get it before Mission 101.

Worth: certainly better (WAY better) than the regular Hyaku Shiki.
A very useful mech with a couple of parts equipped.

G-Defensor:
For Supers, you get it after mission 27.

Reals will get the G-Defensor naturally.

Worth: it is useful to level weak MS pilots, but it´s not really
of my preference.

Gale and GraimKaiser:
(real routes only). Persuade Gale with Eiji in Mission 04.
An event will trigger and Eiji will, apparently, kill Gale, but he will
join after Mission 34 (if you don´t join OZ) or after Missions 95/97
(if you join OZ).

Worth: Gale is the best SPT pilot but he cannot be assigned to the New
Layzner. However, there´s no real loss in recruiting him so go for it.

Garalia and Bastoll:
In Mission 21, don´t attack or counterattack Garalia. She´ll automatically
join.

Worth: this one´s tough. Garalia is the worst of the four AB pilots but
you need her to get Silky. Morevover, the prize for killing her is a
Minovsky Craft, so it will ultimately depend on you. If you don´t plan in
using Aura Battlers, go for the Minovsky Craft.

Gato an GP-02 A Physalis:
(OZ Route only). You get him after Mission 92 if no neutral units
reached the green zone.

Gato will defect to Haman after Mission 112, taking the GP-02 with him.

Worth: despite Gato leaving later, the GP-02 is very useful. Just don´t
invest money on it.

Ginrei and Ginrei Robo:
Independent Route: Daisaku´s kills has to be at least 20, at the end
of Mission 34.

OZ Route: not confirmed yet.

Worth: this one surprised me. Ginrei is an amazing pilot, due to her
PsychicPower skill. Ginrei Robo is initially weak, but has the potential
to become a beast (15 upgrade blocks can give her a 5000 base power
attack with no morale-EP-Ammo requirements). When Ginrei´s morale
reaches 120, she can activate the Type2 of Ginrei Robo which is actually
superior. One of my favourites.

Gundam Mk-III and Methuss Kai:
(independent route only). You automatically get them after Mission 47.

Worth: the Methuss Kai it´s the only powerful healing unit. The Mk-III
is a good sniper. See first if you have pilots for them, because there
are better MS like the Nu, GP-03 and Zeta. I prefer the ones you get
in OZ route.

Hilde and Taurus:
In Mission 41 (Independent Route), have Duo persuade Hilde. Hilde
will join inmediately, but must survive the mission.

In the other routes, Hilde joins automatically.

Worth: not much. She´s the worst of the Wing crew. I wouldn´t care if
Duo wasn´t forced to appear in the same missions.

Kiral and Mandala Gundam:
In Missions 44/99, defeat Domon with Kiral. Kiral will join during
Mission 120.

Worth: Not hard to get but not really useful.

Kirika:
(super routes only). Persuade Kirika, first with Duke, then with Maria,
in Missions 65/105.

Worth: another pilot for Mazinger units. I have nothing against her
so it depends again on whether you use Mazinger-types or not.

Mass Production Great Mazinger:
(C.Pacifism only). You automatically get it after Mission 58.

Worth: almost as good as the original.

Mass production Nu Gundam:
(OZ route only). You automatically get it after Mission 109. You have
to decide whether you want Funnels (more powerful, NewType exclusive)
or Incoms (any pilot can use them) equipped.

Worth: almost as good as the Nu. Whenever I play OZ route, I end up
using it.

Minerva X:
(C.Pacifism only). In Mission 55, persuade Minerva X with Koji twice.
You don´t use her as an AI-machine but rather as a Mazinger-type.

Worth: if you like Mazingers go for Minerva X.

Naida:
(super routes only). Again, the process is similar in all routes.
Just persuade Naida with Duke in Missions 50/84/103. Then, when you
start next mission, pick the second option.

Worth: Probably the best of thr three Mazinger recruitables, because
she and Duke get love support. Other than that nothing outstanding.

Neue Ziel:
(Independent Route only). You automatically get it after Mission 118.

Worth: a little better than the GP-03, which is already a lot to say.

Puru and Quebeley Mk-II:
Independent Route: Persuade Puru with Judau in Mission 74 (keep in mind
that if there are six or less enemies left, or if you defeat/force Haman
to run, all enemies, including Puru, will leave). In Mission 75, defeat
Gremy (with anyone), then persuade Puru with Judau. Puru joins after
the mission.

OZ Route: In Mission 113, first defeat Gremy (with anyone), then
persuade Puru with Judau.

Worth: a powerful NewType, who is also neccesary to recruit Puru2.
It´s no much trouble anyway.

Puru2:
Independent Route: Persuade Puru2 in Missions 77, 78 and 80 with Judau.
OZ Route: Persuade Puru2 in Missions 114, 115 and 116 with Judau.

In both routes, you need to have recruited Puru also.

Worth: it´s less useful than Puru because Puru2 comes without a mech and
she gives a nice part when killed (Psychoframe/Shuffle´s Crest). You
decide. I generally let her die.

Quess and Jagd Doga:
In Mission 122, defeat Char with Amuro before Axis explodes. Quess must
not be defeated. A special event will ocurr when Axis explodes
(from CCA movie).For the last mission, Quess and the Doga will be
available.

Worth: Quess rules! Level 9 skills is something not even Amuro or Char
had at level 55, so if Amuro is leveled enough, go for it. The only bad
thing is that you can only use her in one mission.

Red Quebeley Mk-II:
After Missions 82/117 go to the Earth Sphere.

Puru2 joined.

You can decide whether let your Quebeley purple (option 1) or to paint
it red for Puru2 (option 2).

Worth: It´s esentially the same Quebeley. No other comments.

Rosamia:
(Independent Route only). In Mission 39 DO NOT defeat Rosamia. In Mission 44,
first defeat Gates, and then persuade Rosamia with Camille. Rosamia will be
available after the mission without a mech.

Worth: she´s a very skilled pilot and way better than your non-ace Newtypes.
One of my favourites.

Rose and Zeron:
The process is the same for all routes. First, defeat Marg with Takeru in
Missions 64 (Independent or C.Pacifism-Independent)/86 (C.Pacifism-OZ)/
103 (OZ). Then, in the same mission, persuade Rose with Takeru. Finally,
persuade Rose with Takeru in Missions 70 (Independent) or 104 (OZ). Rose
joins after the mission.

Despite what says in th Walkthrough, it´s no really necessary to persuade
Marg, only killing him with Takeru. Persuading him or not just changes the
dialogues.

Worth: Rose gets (in the end) enough SP to cast Gekirei twwice, plus Takeru
gets love support from him. Go for her if you´re using God Mars regularly.

Talgeese III:
(OZ Route only). After Mission 114, Howard will offer you to keep
Gundam Epyon, or to get Talgeese III.

Worth: out of the question. This is my favourite mech in this game.
Unlike other games, here is a total beast. Don´t hesitate.

Todd and Zuwass/Sarbine:
In Mission 26 persuade Todd with Sho. In the independent route, persuade Todd
in Mission 35 and don´t defeat him with Sho. Todd will join in a Sarbine in
Mission 69. In the OZ Route, persuade Todd with Sho in Mission 89, and then
defeat Todd with Sho in the same mission. Just to be on the safe side, don´t
defeat Todd in his Hyper form. Todd will join during Mission 105 in a Zuwass.

I haven´t confirmed if Todd can be persuaded in the Complete Pacifism route.

If Todd is defeated in Missions 69/105 he´ll die, so be careful.

Worth: the process is a little more complex but nothing outstanding really.
Todd is a good pilot, just slighty inferior to Sho. The Zuwass/Sarbine are
good but with few upgrade blocks are a little limited. Again, go for it if
you like  Aura Battlers and think you´ll use Todd. The Sarbine/Zuwass have the
Twin Aura Attack combi with Billvine.

Wing units - Endless Waltz version:
Once you get the second form of the Wing units (Wing Zero, Deathscythe Hell,
Heavyarms Kai, Sandrock Kai, Altron) , if you fully upgrade their STATS,
they will become the Custom versions from the OVA, with a mayor boost in
the process.

For Wing Zero and Heavyarms, if you turn them in their custom versions
before unlicking their extra weapons, those weapons cannot be unlocked later.

Worth: Wing and Heavyarms become warlords while Altron becomes very good.
Sandrock and D.S have only range-1 weapons in their Custom form so think if
that fits you. Stat wise they become class A units.

Zechs and Gundam Epyon:
(OZ Route or C.P-OZ). Zechs will automatically join if you end in the
OZ Route, either during Mission 100 (in Wing Zero, then he and Heero
exchange mechs) or before Mission 86.

Worth: Zechs is probably, the best Non-NewType pilot of the game.
Epyon is weaker than Zero because of its low range attack.

Reason to suspect: Noin has two persuade commands on him

Those were mine, now come doubts I´ve seen frequently:

Some secrets are based in kill counts (Ginrei, Silky, Katz) so,
Is there a way to know the kills of a pilot?

R: Yes, it´s not well known (I found it by accident) but it´s possible.
You can do it in the submenu where you select which units to deploy.
Use the C-buttons and/or L to do it. Those using Proyect64, use the
key A in the default configuration of the keyboard. There are different
options to order the pilots (level, HP) and the possibility to see the
kill counts.

Do some pilots get more money than other ones from killing the same
enemies?

R: No, the aumont of money you get is based on kill counts of the pilot.
I haven´t confirmed it, but 50 kills is supposed to multiply your money
by 1.5 and 100 kills, multiply you money by 2. This can also be doubled
if you also cast Ko´Un.

What´s the differences between the Independent/C.P/OZ routes?

R:
-The c.P is a subroute since it ends in either the Independent or OZ
routes. It´s mainly focused in battles against Hyakki and Mikene. It´s
the only one in which you´ll see Dorothy from Gundam W and Elizabeth from
Layzner.

Good Points: you can get Minerva X, MP Great and fight several battles
against those two empires.
Bad Points: you miss Shapiro´s death. You cannot get Four or Rosamia.
You won´t get extra Mobile Suits. Not sure about Todd

-The Independent route include fights against White Fang, not seen in OZ
Route. Scirocco will not appear, and the last battle against OZ is quite
poor. In the last missions, Milliardo will help Char. Todd joins in a
Sarbine.

Good Points: You can recruit every all characters recruitable in OZ
Route, and more. You can get a Methuss Kai, Gundam Mk-III and Neue Ziel.
Bad Points: Zechs is (apparently) not recruitable. Scirocco doesn´t
appear.

-The OZ route is the most original of the three. You´ll have OZ help for
a while. It´s the closest one to the Z plot. Gato will end helping Char.
Todd joins in a Zuwass.

Good Points: Zechs will join. You can get FA Hyaku Shiki Kai and MP
Gundam as well as the Epyon/Talgeese III. You can use Gato for a while,
and even Treize in a mission.
Bad Points: You cannot get Rosamia, Kyara or Mashmyre.

Why is the Earthgain so weak initially?

R: The Earthgain gains more attacks when Brad reaches new levels.
In particular, Levels 15, 25 and 35. The same happens with Vyrose, which
get new attacks when Katz´s level reaches 10, 20 and 30.

I´m currently 2/3 advanced in Manami´s route. I plan to finish with her
and add more pilots as well as do the remaining sections I haven´t
started. This WILL be done within May.

After that, I don´t know. I plan to cover all the pilots/missions left,
but keep in mind that I´ve playing this game for 6 months now (without
playing anything else) and what´s more, I´m fighting the urge of playing
Compact 2 for a while. Don´t worry, the worst part (in the sense it took
the most time) was to arrange all the sparse info I had. I won´t forget
to update the guide.
I promise. Three weeks maximum from today (e.g: August) I´ll start with
Selein and Brad.
