1. Version Info
Current Version: 0.3
7/25/01: Version 0.3 was made. Fixed some Mini-Game errors. Added a bit more to the
mini-walktrough, and made it in more paragraphs, making it easier to read, and also added
dived it into parts.
Changed Menus section to Translation section (don't worry, the menus
are still translated!)
7/24/01: Version 0.2 was made. Fixed some errors. Added the sections Version
Info, Sub Tutorial, Bosses, and Mini-Walkthrough(incomplete). Renamed "Brock"
to "Goemon". Updated the Tips and Tricks section.
7/23/01: Version 0.1 was made.

2. Story (My interpretation)
Ok, from what I can gather, here's the story: "You, you're little brother,
and your grandfather are on your sub at some port. Recently, pirates of some
sort have been doing bad things (dunno what, but what else do pirates do?).
Anyway, you and your brother seem to be playing around the controlls, then the
ship takes off and moves. You're granpa walks in, seems to scold you, then
gives you a Robopon, and then you're in comand of the ship (Wow, which that
happened when I got scolded! he he he)"

3. Purpose of this FAQ
This FAQ is not intended to be a FULL walkthrough (yet, maybe in the future). It
is intended to get you started off, explain the menu's as best as possible, and
make the game understandable enough to play. It CAN be used on your site ONLY
after you get MY permission and I send it to you PERSONALLY. Read the Credits
for more info.

4. Starting this wonderful Adventure
After the intro, talk to your Robopon you just got. Pick the SECOND option,
and then select the FIRST. Then, pick the THIRD option. Play this little
mini-game. It costs one "Robo-Token" and you can play it 3 times a day. There
are a few games, and each increases a different ability. Then one I just told
you to do increases your ATTACK ability I believe... It's quite simple. Move
with the "3D-Stick" as the game calls it, and press A or B to shoot. Hit
enough missiles (number to kill in top-right cornor) and you win. DON'T let
them hit you or your sub. Ok, after that, go back to your room (Third Floor)
and go to the planting thing you grew your first robopon from (Geeze, Robopon
DO grow on trees!). Press A. Select the FIRST Option, then slecect the
Crystal-like thing.
Now you can keep playing mini-games with your Robopon if you want, then
sleep when his (or her) face icon turns dark (to sleep, press A while in front
of your bed, then pick the FIRST option. NOTE: This ALSO saves the game).
While sleeping, your plant will grow. Now, talk to your Robopon. Pick the
FIRST option, then the FIRST again. Then FIRST once more. He'll start dusting
your room. This keeps the RATS away. The RATS will try and eat a growing
Robopon (ACK!) If the Rats DO come, you'll play a mini game in which you must
keep blasting the rats (us A to shoot, and Analog (or 3D) Stick to aim). Now,
when your new Robopon grows, go to the Second Floor, and go to the computer to
the far left. Press a, and pick the FIRST option (it says GO!.. wow, ENGLISH!)
Now, drive your little boat around, and run into other boats to fight them.

Ok, now that was easy, right? When picking Parts and Software, pick the FIRST
option after that. The second is confusing, and it's function can be done much
easier with the FIRST option.

6. Learning Your Sub, a Floor by Floor Tutorial.
Fuctions and uses of Third Floor: Sleep, Plant Pon/Soft-Seeds, Go to Fishing
Dock. Where to find each: Bed = Sleep. Dirt next to crystal = Seed Planting.
Red Door = Fishing Dock.
Fuctions and uses of Second Floor: Drive Sub, Check PonaPedia, Virtual Battle,
GameBoy Hookup(no-good if you don't have a Japanesse GB Robopon game). Where
to find each: Computer ALL the way to the far left, pick FIRST option (GO!) =
Drive Sub. Computer north of Drive Sub Computer, with green screen =
PonaPedia. Big Sumo Guy = Virtual Battle. Big Yellow GameBoy = GameBoy
Hookup.
Functions and uses of First Floor: Store Robopon, Unkown Machiene. Where to
find each: Big Boxes with numbers = Store Robopon. Weird Yellow Box near Stairs
= Unkown Machiene.

7. Mini-Walkthrough
--Part One: To the CITY!--
Ok, at the title screen, press start. Then press A (before pressing A, you can
use R to change from Stereo to Mono). You'll now be at the Character Select
Screen. Choose between "Cody" and "Goemon" (I named 'em, but I am un-aware of
their offical names. If anyone knows them, e-mail me at
[email protected]) Anyway, EACH character is a different file.
They are EXACTLY the same except text spoken (all in jap anyway) and people on
Sub (and MAYBE the Robopon started with...) After the intro, and you can
control your character (we'll say Cody for now).
Move Cody to the 1st Floor of your Sub.
Plant the seed you have. Go back the the 2nd floor, and use the Nav
(or Drive Sub) Computer. Drive the Sub around a bit, and run into any other
ships (look like Sharks and Angeler fish) to get into fights. Fight around a
bit to make money. Now notice, while driving or while in the sub, the little
red bar on the left side of the screen? See the number above it? The number
and bar tell how much FUEL you have. You lose fuel when driving, and lose ONE
point of fuel when you sleep.
To regain fuel, see the tips and tricks section below.
Now, press B while drving your sub, then pick the FIRST option. You'll
be back inside the Sub. Now, talk to your Robopon. Pick the SECOND option,
then the FIRST. Now, after a little cutscene, pick the THIRD option. You'll
be playing Missile-Assault, see Mini-Games below on how to play. If you win,
your Robopon will gain some ATTACK power.
You can play again if you wish, different games give different abilities.
See Mini-Games for more details. Now go to sleep. After you wake up, talk to your Robopon,
pick the FIRST option, then the FIRST option again. He'll start dusting your room. When you
have a seed planted, make a Robopon dust your room once a day to keep Rats
away. After your Pon-Plant has completely grown (a Robopon can be seen) Go up
to it and Press A.. Voila! A second Robopon! Train both of them, power them
up, keep fuel high, and keep their maintenance up. When you are ready, drive
your sub to a rock with a tower on it for your first boss battle. When talking
to the boss, pick the FIRST option to fight him. See BOSSES for more info.
After you defeat him, you get a Soft-Seed and your first P-Card. Drive around
until you see a little dock with a red and white roof. Go there, and pick the
first option. Since you know have a P-Card, you can enter Area 1 of "The City
of Waves"
--Part Two: Navigatin' the Maze-like City!--
Ok, ignore all the isles except the one with the tower. Now beware! This boss is a two in one
combo. First you'll fight Mohawk Mike, then his partner, Shaddy Sam. While relatively easy, I
suggest you have high speed for one pet at least, Shaddy Sam's Robopon is kinda fast.

8. The Bosses!
Larry the Lame, First Boss: THIS little guy is actually hard if you don't know
what your doing. His little Bat-Girl is a pest, as well, as she is fast. Try
to hit her in the back whenever possible. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BOTH OF YOUR
ROBOPON! The Second Robopon is normally very strong and can easily finish this
clown. If you win, you claim a Soft-Seed and the Green P-Card!

9. Tips and Tricks
Run Faster/Drive Faster: Hold Z while moving.
Restore Fuel: Attack other ships for a little fuel, or fish for some (A big
green ball while fishing is 10 fuel)
How to tell a Robopons Hunger/Sanitation: When talking to one of your robopon,
you will see 2 bars. The first bar is his/her hunger, the second is his/her
Sanitation. As they get higher, the hungrier and/or dirtier he/she is. Feed
them or make them shower to lower the bars.
How to Fight: Wait for the GREEN bar to turn RED. Press A to attack. Press B
to change the attack you do.
Change Sub Floors faster: Press R while in your sub. THIS Menu has enough
english to figure out. After picking a floor, pick ANY choice. You'll just be
infront of a certain thing on that floor.
How to Switch Robopon while IN a fight: When the GREEN bar turns RED, press Z
(note, choose robopon FAST, enemy can attack you while you decide)
Map while Driving: Press Down-C.
Change Driving Veiw: Press Up-C.
Tips for Fighting: Try to manuver AROUND your oponent, so that when you attack,
you'll hit their back. It causes extra damage on them. Also, the icon under
their life (a symbol, not a face) shows their element. If it's Ice, try to use
Fire, and etc. If there are FACES under the life, then that means that player
has extra Robopon to use after this.
2-Player VS. Mode: Play the game on one-player a bit, then save. Go back to
the title-screen, and press down, and then press A. Pick 1P VS. 2P. Voila!

10. The Mini-Games
1. Tug of War: Use the A button to pull hard enough before time
is up, but not to hard or you will slip.. Tips: Repetally press A until you see
RED on your bar, then slowly press A to keep
the red there, but do NOT make it touch the edge, or you will slip. If you
win, your Robopon gains EP.
2. Mario-Pon. Use the Analog and the A button to leap over the obsticles and
pop the baloons. Hit enough baloons and you win. Tips: Stay FAR back on the
screen, and pop baloons with your head. Jump on TOP of block towers to reach
baloons with short characters. DON'T crash into the towers, or you'll be
damaged. Get damaged 3 to 4 times, and you lose. If you win, your robopon
gains some SPEED.
3. Missle-Assault. Use the Analog and the A (or B) button to move around and
fire at the missles. Shoot enough missles and win. Tips: Not much advise
here, VERY easy. RED missles count as three if you kill them, and take 3 shots
to kill. DO NOT get hit by a missle and DO NOT let them hit the sub when it
floats by. If you win, you gain some ATTACK.
4. Pushover: Use the Analog and the A (or B) button to keep the warthogs, and sumos back.
Tips: When you hear a snort, look for a bull. Press the Analog in the
direction it is comming from, and when it runs into your hands, press A (or B)
as fast as possible. Knock away enough bulls to win. If you knock one away
fast enough, it counts as 3. If you DO NOT stop it with your hands, you lose.
If you win, you gain some DEFENSE.
5. RowBoat Rally. Use tha Analog and the A and B buttons to race the Big Bad
Wolf to the finish. Avoid the whirlpools and Sharky at all costs. Tips: Press
the Analog forward, and press A repedally to paddle forward. Press back on the
analog and A to back up (do this to avoid whirlpools and run from Sharky).
Press B for a SUPER BOOST (can go backwards and forwards). You get ONE boost
per race. If WOLF beats you to the end, or if Sharky eats you, you lose. If
you beat Wolf, you win, and gain HP.
