Pokémon Snap was introduced to the Nintendo 64 game console on July 27, 1999.
It is a simulation game where you play as Todd, a young photographer that
is asked by Professor Oak to assist him in something. Professor Oak sends
Todd a letter, asking him to help him take pictures of Pokémon on an island
named Pokémon Island. The reason Professor Oak chose Todd instead of a
normal Pokémon Trainer is because the Trainer would be more interested in
capturing the Pokémon, and if so, the Pokémon on the island would decrease
in value. Todd gladly accepts Professor Oak in completing his studies of
Pokémon on this island and goes over to his Laboratory right away.

                                  Updates
                                  -------
1/11/00 - Added ASCII Art and updated the address to my web page and e-mail.

8/19/99 - It's been a long time, but Ive finally finished the reactions!
I believe this may be the last update, so have fun with Snap, that short,
short game. There may be a really small update, but it's unexpected.

8/5/99 - Thanks to Gobi, [email protected], for pointing out that Magikarp IS
in the Cave level. Some of the Reactions section is complete. Expect it to
take a little bit of time, because I'm trying to get all of them.

8/4/99 - Made a few corrections on Magikarp, I accidentally added him in
the Cave level, but now that's taken out. Plus I even listed that you can
get Magikarp out of the water with Pester Balls. False. You can only do it
with Food. Got a little better strategy on how to get a better picture of
Grimer, Butterfree, Eevee, and Electabuzz. Lastly, thanks to John Schwab,
[email protected], for pointing out many new things for me. The reactions
are coming soon folks, be patient.

8/3/99 - There was quite a big mistake in the Lapras part. That's been
corrected now. I also forgot about adding the "Gust-using Pidgey" part from
the last update, so that's there in the Beach section too. Plus better ways
to get a picture of Snorlax, Squirtle, and Sandshrew. I've also added a
more in depth look at Mew's strategy and how you can take a better picture
of it. Look for a new section the next update called 'Reactions', which will
be a list of all the Pokémon's reactions when you hit them or play the
Poké Flute for them.

8/2/99 - I've added more tips on how to take better pictures of Doduo,
Dugtrio, Electabuzz, Lapras, Scyther, and Vulpix

8/1/99 - This FAQ just started.

                                 Controls
                                 --------

Control Stick: Allows you to look around, only moving it to the left and
right will do so. If you try up and down, it won't work.

Direction Pad: Not used.

Start Button: Pauses the game.

Z Button: Focuses your camera.

A Button: (While holding the Z Button) Snap a photo.

A Button: Throws Pokémon Food.

B Button: Throws a Pester Ball.

C Up: Moves your view to the front.

C Right: Moves your view 90° to the right.

C Left: Moves your view 90° to the left.

C Down: Plays the Poké Flute.

R Button: Speeds up the Zero-One.

L Button: Not used.

To use the items Professor Oak gives you (Pokémon Food, Pester Ball, and
Poké Flute), you must NOT be focused (holding the Z Button), otherwise
when you try to use an item, it will not work. You do not start off with
these items, Professor Oak will give them as you progress, please read below.

                                   Items
                                   -----
Camera: This is the only item you actually start off with. It is Todd's
personal belonging, since he is a photographer. Use this by holding the Z
Button, then snapping a picture by clicking the A Button, still holding the
Z Button.

Pokémon Food: When you throw this, the Pokémon may eat it, only certain ones
do. It is really an apple, and you can use this to throw at other Pokémon
to get their attention. Try giving it to a Pikachu and see how it reacts.
Given to you early in the game, you should get it after the Tunnel stage.

Pester Ball: This new type of ball, shaped like a Poké Ball, but
multi-colored, is used to drive out hiding Pokémon. Try throwing it into
a bush and maybe you can drive out a Pokémon hiding in it. If thrown at a
Pokémon just for the heck of it, it may have a reaction, not all do. Given
to you after the Pokémon Food, you should receive it by the Cave or Valley
stage.

Poké Flute: A unique flute with a Poké Ball at the end of it, it plays
melodies that awake Pokémon or make them dance to its catchy tune. Try
using this on a Pokémon such as Snorlax and it'll wake up, even Meowth,
try it, and it'll dance. Given to you after the Pester Balls, you should
get this item after the Cave or Valley stage, if not, try and getting better
pictures to increase your score.

Dash Engine: After you've completed all stages, you are awarded this as a
prize. This engine will increase the Zero-One's speed by holding the R
Button. It's very useful when you want to reach a certain point in the stage,
but watch out, if you smash into a Pokémon on the tracks, the Zero-One will
paused briefly. Luckily, the Pokémon aren't hurt.

                                  Scoring
                                  -------
Size: This is a score for how close the Pokémon is in the photo. The farther
away, the lower, the closer, the better. Just not TOO close, ok? Sometimes,
when you're too close, you may actually be lowering your score.

Pose: This score is for what the Pokémon is doing. For example, you take
a picture of Meowth just walking around. You'll probably get an average score
for that. But, what if you hit it with a Pester Ball. He'll do a mean look
at you after he regains consciousness. That'll get you a higher score.

Technique: Basically, this score just goes for if your Pokémon is in the
middle of the picture. If it isn't fully in, you will get a lower score. The
bigger Pokémon like Charizard should fit in the picture, though you may not
get a full picture of it, but no score will decrease.

Other PKMN: If you take a certain picture of a Pokémon, for example,
Charmander, there is a possible way to get more Charmanders in one picture.
The more of the same Pokémon are in, the higher you score goes.

Special: This will only count if there is a special action taking place in
the picture for the Pokémon. An example can be "Surfing Pikachu", which is
when you lure Pikachu onto a surfboard and it acts like it's surfing. You
can get more points for those types of pictures.

                                 The Guide
                                 ---------
Level #1: Beach

"What a sunny beach. It looks great! I should get some awesome shots there!"

Pokémon in Beach
----------------
#12 Butterfree
#16 Pidgey
#25 Pikachu
#52 Meowth
#84 Doduo
#113 Chansey
#115 Kangaskhan
#123 Scyther
#129 Magikarp
#131 Lapras
#133 Eevee
#143 Snorlax

#12 Butterfree: Located over the Snorlax near the beginning of the stage,
ignore these for now. Butterfrees may be all over the level, but the best
time to take their picture is a little after the Scyther bush. You should
see a small little bridge. There, look to the left and you should see three
Butterfrees. When they come close, take a picture of them.

#16 Pidgey: Like Butterfree, they're all over the place. They're the first
Pokémon you see when you begin the stage, so when it flies right into you,
it's the best time to take a picture. If you want extra bonus, when all
three Pidgeys in the beginning of the stage fly past you, turn all the way
around to the back and take a photo of the three. The time to take the
greatest Pidgey picture of all time is near the end. You should see two
Pidgeys hovering over you. Look right and you'll see a helpless Meowth.
The two Pidgeys will use Gust on Meowth. Take a picture right there to get
a ton of points.

#25 Pikachu: After the first Doduo pops out, a Pikachu will appear to your
right. You can take a picture of it there, or give it Pokémon Food. If you
want the "Surfing Pikachu", lure it over to the surfboard a little further
ahead with Food. Pikachu should get on the surfboard and take a picture to
receive extra points. Two Pikachus appear after the Scyther part. They'll
run onto two stumps. To make them do a Thundershock, play your Poké Flute.
Try getting both of them in the picture for a high score.

#52 Meowth: There are quite a few Meowths in this stage. The first one is
on a little hill to the right after the Snorlax. Throw the Food at it and
he'll look back at you with a goofy look. Throw a Pester Ball at it and
he'll fall off of its hill. Wait till the Zero-One moves forward a little
and there will be the Meowth. He'll give you a mean look, so take the picture
there, or you can try using the Poké Flute. If so, he'll start dancing to
the tune. The second Meowth comes out from the Scyther bush chasing a
Pidgey. The third one comes out a little after the Scyther bush chasing
a Pidgey. The last one is near the end getting Gusted by two Pidgeys. This
is located on the right hand side. You can save Meowth however. Throw
Pester Balls at the Pidgeys and Meowth will do a dance for you.

#84 Doduo: This is sort of tricky to get. Doduo pops out from the left after
the three Pidgeys in the beginning pass you. Try taking a good shot of it
after you knock it out with a Pester Ball. The second one comes out a little
after the Scyther bush from the left from a bush. Following it is a Meowth
chasing a Pidgey.

#113 Chansey: A little bit after the second Doduo to the left, you should
see an Eevee chasing a pink ball. The ball is actually a Chansey. Hit it
with Food and it will pop out as Chansey. Try using the Poké Flute to make
it dance, even Eevee will dance too.

#115 Kangaskhan: To the right after the Chansey and Eevee is a Kangaskhan.
Hit it with Food and it'll turn around and do some poses.

#123 Scyther: There's a big bush to the left with the grass flying in the
air. In that bush is a Scyther, cutting the grass up. Throw multiple Pester
Balls into the bush and Scyther will fly up. Take its picture quick! Start
throwing the Pester Balls right when you see the bush, that way, Scyther
will come up early and you can take a shot of its face.

#129 Magikarp: When you see a small body of water, throw Pokémmon Food into
it and Magikarp will pop out. It's hard to take its picture here because he
only comes out for a short time, so maybe you'd better wait till the Tunnel
for a better shot of it.

#131 Lapras: Look to the right after the first Pikachu and you should see
it. Take Lapras' picture and continue on to the Scyther bush. There, turn
right and see Lapras again. Take its picture and head to the little bridge
where all the Butterfree are. You should see Lapras there, if so, take its
picture. Near the Kangaskhan, you should see Lapras again. Take its picture
again, but this time, wait a little. Three Laprases, one should be very
close, will appear. This is the best Lapras shot there is.

#133 Eevee: After the second Doduo, look to your left to see Eevee chasing
a pink ball. That ball is a Chansey (already explained above). Try to get
a good shot of Eevee when it comes nearby, or play the Poké Flute and it'll
start dancing. Another way to get a good shot of Eevee is to give it Food.

#143 Snorlax: Obviously, the biggest target. Snorlax is located to the right
after the first Pikachu. Butterfrees are hovering over this giant Pokémon.
To awaken it briefly, use a Pester Ball and it'll lift up its head for a
quick shot. To wake it up completely, play the Poké Flute and it'll get on
its feet and start dancing. Try playing different tunes with the Poké
Flute because Snorlax will dance differently to them. To play different
tunes, press the C Down button.

Tunnel

"There used to be a Power Plant in this long, dark tunnel. I can't wait to
check it out!"

Pokémon in Tunnel

#14 Kakuna
#25 Pikachu
#41 Zubat
#50 Diglett
#51 Dugtrio
#81 Magnemite
#82 Magneton
#92 Haunter
#101 Electrode
#125 Electabuzz
#129 Magikarp
#145 Zapdos

#14 Kakuna: When you actually enter the tunnel, you will see some Kakuna
hanging down from the ceiling. Don't just try to take one, near the end of
the first section, at least four Kakunas come down. Try to get a close up
and take all of them.

#25 Pikachu: In the beginning of the stage, look to your right a little and
you'll spot Pikachu. There is a way to get Pikachu onto an Electrode. Take
Pikachu's picture once, then he'll move away a bit. Take its picture again
and this time he'll jump on the Electrode nearby. If this doesn't work,
keep trying. The Electrode will blow up soon after. The second Pikachu is
located in the second tunnel section. Throw a Food near the egg and when
Pikachu's close, play the Poké Flute. This will cause Pikachu to use its
Thundershock (every Pikachu should use Thundershock when the Poké Flute
is being played) and it'll hit the egg, hatching a Zapdos. The third Pikachu
is after this in the third section with a Diglett.

#41 Zubat: This flying Pokémon appears twice. When you enter section two
and three, the Zubat should fly right into you as the doors open for you.
You must be quick to take a good shot.

#50 Diglett: In the third section, you can't miss it, it's located to the
left with a Pikachu.

#51 Dugtrio: This is a bit tricky, first, take a picture of Diglett. You'll
notice Pikachu scampers away. Diglett will pop out and take another picture
of it. Keep doing this until Dugtrio pops out. Only one should, take a
picture of it and Pikachu will move away yet again. Two Dugtrios pop out,
take a picture and Pikachu will move again. This time, three Dugtrios will
pop out, take a picture of this.

#81 Magnemite: This is the last Pokémon when you exit the stage. If you try
focusing your camera, you'll notice Magnemite will use its Supersonic attack.
To prevent this, throw a Pokémon Food at it and take a picture quickly.

#82 Magneton: Throw Pokémon Food at all three Magnemites and soon they'll
join together to form Magneton. Wait for them to turn around so you can get
a great shot.

#92 Haunter: When you see a small ball floating around to the left at the
end of the second section and the beginning of the third, try focusing your
camera and taking a picture. It'll be a '?', but when the film develops,
it turns out to be a Haunter.

#101 Electrode: Quite obvious, it is located throughout the entire first
section. When the Electrodes are in place, try throwing either Food or a
Pester Ball at them and they'll SelfDestruct, allowing you to get more
points.

#125 Electabuzz: The first Electabuzz you'll see is when you enter the first
section. It's chasing an Electrode. Make sure you take its picture quickly
before it turns its back on you. The second one is located in the third
section. Have the second Pikachu release Zapdos. After that, when you enter
the third section, look to the right and you'll see two Electabuzzes posing
a bit. Throw Food at them to lure them closer for a good picture.

#129 Magikarp: After the Zapdos egg, look to the right and you should see
a small body of water. Magikarp will jump out, so be quick to get a good
shot.

#145 Zapdos: In the second section, lure Pikachu over to the egg by using
Pokémon Food. Then play the Poké Flute and it will do a Thundershock,
causing the egg to hatch. Out a Zapdos will appear. The best time to get its
picture is when it just hatched.

To get to the Volcano, near the end, where the Magnemites are, you should
see an Electrode to the right in a small tunnel. Throw a Pokémon Food at it
and it should SelfDestruct, opening a new pathway for you.

Volcano

"The boiling magma here makes this place very hot. I'm sweating already!"

#4 Charmander
#5 Charmeleon
#6 Charizard
#37 Vulpix
#58 Growlithe
#59 Arcanine
#78 Rapidash
#126 Magmar
#129 Magikarp
#146 Moltres

#4 Charmander: After the Vulpixes, you should see a Magmar and Charmander
to the left. Don't bother taking a picture of them, wait until you progress
further. After you see an egg in the track, leave it be. Throw Pokémon Food
at the Charmanders and soon they'll call their friends. There should be
a total of six Charmanders. Play the Poké Flute to get them in order and
they'll march.

#5 Charmeleon: When you see the first Charmander, which is with a Magmar,
throw Food in the middle of them. Charmander should run to the Food and
Magmar will use its Flamethrower on Charmander. Charmander will come out of
the flames as Charmeleon and then knock down Magmar. This isn't quite a
good shot, so wait till near the end of the stage where you will see a
Charmeleon circling around a lava pit to the left.

#6 Charizard: Near the end of the stage, you should spot a Charmeleon
circling around a lava pit. Angle first, then hit Charmeleon with a Pester
Ball, knocking it into the lava pit. Charizard should pop out. To make it
do its Flamethrower attack, just throw Food at it.

#37 Vulpix: Right after the Rapidashes, to your left should be a single
Vulpix. Lure it forward by throwing Food. Ahead, there should be two more
Vulpixes. Throw the Food so that all three Vulpixes (including the first
one if it followed) are in the picture.

#58 Growlithe: To the right near the end of the stage, there should be
three lava pits. Throw Pester Balls into them and a Growlithe should pop
out. If you don't get all three Growlithes to come out, try again. Use
Food and the Poké Flute to lure them closer for a better shot.

#59 Arcanine: Same thing as Growlithe, but it appears randomly. Try again
if it doesn't work.

#78 Rapidash: The first Pokémon that zooms past you in the beginning, hit
them with Food or Pester Balls so you can get a good photo.

#126 Magmar: The first Magmar is near the first Charmander after the
Vulpixes. Just pass by this one for now and wait until you get past the
Moltres egg. There will be two Magmars. You could either throw a Pester Ball
at both of them so they faint and you can get a shot, or you could go for
a higher score. Throw Pokémon Food in the middle of both of the Magmars
and they should collide with each other. Both Magmars use Flamethrower on
each other, knocking themselves out. Be sure to take a picture while they're
doing the Flamethrower on each other.

#129 Magikarp: Near where the area to get the Growlithes and Arcanines,
there should be a small little stream. Throw Pokémon Food into it and a
Magikarp should jump out for a brief moment.

#146 Moltres: The egg in the track is Moltres. Throw either Food or a Pester
Ball at it for it to hatch. The best shot is when Moltres is stretching its
wings, not when it is just hatched.

#54 Psyduck
#60 Poliwag
#79 Slowpoke
#80 Slowbro
#90 Shellder
#91 Cloyster
#129 Magikarp
#137 Porygon

#1 Bulbasaur: At the beginning to the left, there should be tree stumps with
seeds. Throw Pester Balls into the tree stumps and a Bulbasaur should jump
out. Do this with the tree stump nearby and a Bulbasaur will run out. Give
them Food and take a good picture of them.

#11 Metapod: In the middle of the stage, look up and you should see Metapods
hanging down from the top. They're quite obvious. Hit them with a Pester
Ball and they'll drop down.

#25 Pikachu: Near the end of the stage to the left, you should see Pikachu
sticking its head out of a tree trunk. Throw a Pester Ball at it and it
should use its Agility to blaze around its area. This is known as "Speed
Pikachu".

#45 Vileplume: After you see the first Slowpoke, look right and you'll see
Vileplume's large petal head in the ground. Play the Poké Flute to get
Vileplume out of the ground and start dancing. Try different tunes by
pressing C Down if you have the Poké Flute to see how Vileplume dances
to each.

#54 Psyduck: After the Metapods, you'll see Psyduck swimming in the water.
Hit it with either Food or a Pester Ball. Psyduck then will come jumping
out of the water.

#60 Poliwag: In the beginning of the stage in the bushes, you should spot
a Poliwag. Hit it with a Pester Ball and it'll run to another Poliwag. Hit
them both with Pester Balls and they'll run to a third. Hit them with Pester
Balls and they'll all leap into the water. Soon they should come jumping
out at once, then take a quick snap there.

#79 Slowpoke: After the Bulbasaurs, there should be a Slowpoke on the left
hand side. Throw it Food and take a picture when it's eating. Another one
is right after this one, if you missed it.

#80 Slowbro: When you spot the Slowpokes to the left after the Bulbasaurs,
throw it Food, luring it so it goes on a cement tile like area. It should
take a while as it sets its tail into the water. Soon, a Shellder will be
flung into the air and will land on Slowpoke's tail, evolving it into
Slowbro.

#90 Shellder: You really can't miss any Shellders because they pop out all
over the place. Try to take a picture of them as a group to get Other PKMN
bonus.

#91 Cloyster: Close to the end of the level, two Cloysters will pop out from
the water. Try to take a good picture of them as they come out.

#129 Magikarp: Throw Pokémon Food into the water and a Magikarp may pop out.

#137 Porygon: After Psyduck, look to your right to see strange things
moving in the walls. Throw a Pester Ball at both moving objects and two
Porygons should pop out. Throw yet another Pester Ball at them to throw off
their camouflage, then throw Food in the middle of them and snap a picture.

To get the Cave, near the end, you should look to your right. You should
see a switch and something moving in the wall. Throw a Pester Ball at the
moving object and a Porygon will jump out and land on the switch.

Cave

"This is a scary-looking cave. I bet if I listen carefully, I'll hear lots
of strange noises."

#70 Weepinbell
#71 Victreebel
#88 Grimer
#89 Muk
#109 Koffing
#124 Jynx
#129 Magikarp
#132 Ditto
#144 Articuno

#1 Bulbasaur: These 'Bulbasaurs' are located to the right at the beginning of
the stage. Ignore the one alone and wait for the three. Throw a Food in
the middle of them and take a picture.

#25 Pikachu: When you see a Zubat with Pikachu in its grasp, located just
a little after the Weepinbell/Victreebel, throw a Pester Ball at the Zubat.
It may be hard, but when you get it, Pikachu will ride down on balloons.
Take a picture here, or wait until Pikachu lands near the Articuno egg. Play
the Poké Flute and Pikachu will Thundershock open the egg. Keep looking
behind and you should see Pikachu riding on the Articuno. Take this picture
of Pikachu (make sure not Articuno) to get the highest score of all the
Pikachu specials.

#39 Jigglypuff: Jigglypuff is seen after the 'Bulbasaurs'. It is running
away from a Koffing. Hit the Koffing with a Pester Ball, then look around
to find another Jigglypuff being chased by a Koffing. Hit the Koffing again
with a Pester Ball to save the Jigglypuff. Look around yet again and see
another Jigglypuff being chased. Hit the Koffing with a Pester Ball and
the Jigglypuff will float off. After the Articuno part, look to your right
to see "Jigglypuff on Stage", which is three Jigglypuffs, one signing, the
other two dancing. Try playing your Poké Flute to upset the Jigglypuff
singing.

#41 Zubat: They're the first Pokémon you see and one is carrying a Pikachu
after the Weepinbell/Victreebel part. In my opinion, just ignore these
Zubat, because you can't get a great shot really. There is one part however,
where you're taking a picture of the third Grimer, a Zubat will fly past
quickly. You can get a decent shot there.

#70 Weepinbell: Right after the Jigglypuff and Koffing chase, you will
see a Weepinbell bounce around a small icy water lake.

#71 Victreebel: When you see the Weepinbell, angle, then throw a Pester Ball
at it, knocking it into the small icy water lake. It'll come out as
Victreebel and you must take quick shots of this as it comes out.

#88 Grimer: A little bit in the beginning, to the left, you should spot a
Grimer in a small cave. After you take that one's picture, just a little
ahead you should see yet another one in a cave to the left. Take that one's
picture and a little further ahead, near the three 'Bulbasaurs' area, look
around to find see the Grimer. It should be very close and you can take its
picture there.

#89 Muk: When you take a picture of the first Grimer in the beginning to the
left, there should be another one in a cave. Take its picture too and when
you reach the three 'Bulbasaurs' area, look around and you should spot
another Grimer nearby. Throw three Pester Balls at it and it'll evolve into
a Muk.

#109 Koffing: A little after the 'Bulbasaurs', you'll see a Koffing chasing
a Jigglypuff. You could ignore helping the Jigglypuff to take a great up
close shot of Koffing as it passes by.

#124 Jynx: After the Weepinbell/Victreebel part, you will see two Jynxes
and an egg. Play the Poké Flute and the Jynxes will start singing,
shattering the egg and releasing an Articuno. When the Jynxes are singing is
the best time to take their photo.

#129 Magikarp: A little after the 'Bulbasaurs', you should look to the right
a little, just before you reach the Weepinbell. There should be a small
icy water lake there. Throw Pokémon Food in and a Magikarp should flop out.

#132 Ditto: Wonder why I keep saying 'Bulbasaurs'? They're not really
Bulbasaurs! Throw a Pester Ball at these imposters, revealing themselves
as Dittos.

#144 Articuno: When you see two Jynxes after the Weepinbell/Victreebel part,
play the Poké Flute and the Jynxes will sing, causing the egg to shatter.
An Articuno will hatch from the egg. You have to be quick to take this one's
picture.

#7 Squirtle: The first Pokémon in this stage should be Squirtles, though
you can only see their shells. Hit the Squirtle shells with Pester Balls.
They should jump out onto land to the left. Throw Food to get their
attention and make them come close for a good shot.

#27 Sandshrew: A little after the beginning, you should look to your right,
seeing a Geodude on a wall. Throw a Pester Ball at the Geodude and it'll
fall down on the ground, causing a Sandshrew to pop up. Throw Food at the
Sandshrew and you can get a decent score and a close up. If you want more
Sandshrews in the picture, throw a Pester Ball at another Geodude on a wall
and it'll fall down, causing another Sandshrew to pop up. Throw Food in the
middle of the Sandshrews to make them come close for a great shot.

#28 Sandslash: At first, you think you can't get this picture because it's
so far away, but, to get a close up, you have to throw Pester Balls at the
Geodudes to the left after the Sandslash has disappeared. This will cause
the Graveler in the middle to fall down, also causing the Sandslash to pop
up. Throw it Food so you can lure it closer and take its picture quickly
before you fall downstream.

#56 Mankey: At the beginning, there's a Mankey to the right. Ignore it and
wait for the end where you will see a Mankey on top of a large hill to the
right. Two Squirtles should go up that hill, missing the Mankey, leaving
only one Squirtle left. Angle first and throw a Pester Ball at the Squirtle,
causing it to run up and nail the Mankey. The Mankey will go tumbling down
the hill, but you can get a great shot of it as it stands there, angry.

#74 Geodude: Look to the right side in the beginning and throw a Pester Ball
at one. The Geodude should fall on the ground. Take its picture quickly
before it climbs back up.

#75 Graveler: You can get a single Graveler in a picture. Wait until you've
passed the Sandslash a little and then throw Pester Balls at the Geodudes
on the wall. They should come crashing down and the Graveler should too.
There is another way. A little after this part, there should be three
Gravelers on a wall. Play the Poké Flute and the Gravelers will jump off
the wall and start to jump around in a circle. Try different tunes by
pressing the C Down button if you have the Poké Flute to see how they dance
to each.

#118 Goldeen: Just throw Pokémon Food into the water and they should jump
out.

#120 Staryu: After the three Gravelers, you should go down at a quick pace
down the river. There you should see a Staryu right in front of you. Take
it's picture quick, because it moves quick. The Staryu should circle around
you if you have taken its picture in the middle. Eventually you'll see more
Staryus downstream, three to be exact. Take their picture and make sure
it's in the middle so you can see many Starmies.

#121 Starmie: If the Staryus kept circling around you, it should jump in a
whirlpool at the end of the fast paced river. If so, three Starmies will pop
out of the whirlpool quickly. You have to be fast for this one.

#129 Magikarp: You should see in the beginning, a Magikarp bouncing out of
the water. Just throw a Pester Ball at it and read below for Gyarados. Don't
bother trying to take its picture until you read how to get Gyarados.

#130 Gyarados: After you've thrown a Pester Ball at the Magikarp, it should
leap out of the water and get hit by a Mankey. You should keep your eye to
the left after the Sandslash part and you'll see the Magikarp on shore. Take
its picture if you want, but throw a Pester Ball at it again and this time,
it'll skit across the water and into a waterfall. Wait a few seconds and
Gyarados will come out.

#147 Dratini: One is located near the beginning, but you can't get a great
picture of it. Wait until you've reached the bottom of the fast paced river
and near the whirlpool. A Dratini should pop out.

#149 Dragonite: When you've reached where the whirlpool is, throw Pester
Balls in it until a Dragonite appears.

Rainbow Cloud

"This is a secret course... In that case, I should find the rarest Pokémon!"

Pokémon in Rainbow Cloud
------------------------
#151 Mew

#151 Mew: This is the only Pokémon in this stage. Mew actually has two
barriers. The first barrier can be broken easily, because Mew just sways
left to right or right to left. After that's broken, Mew puts on its second
barrier. This one is a bit harder because Mew comes towards you, but if
you're late in hitting it, you'll miss and have to try again. Once you've
broken Mew's second barrier, you should hear hovering. Mew comes from
either the left or right side. Look around quickly to see where it's coming
from. When you can, throw a Pester Ball straight and Mew to make it turn
around. Keep throwing Pester Balls at Mew to get a closer shot of it, stop
assualting it with Pester Balls when you feel it's the right time. Take the
picture here for a very high score. Mew should disappear a bit and start
chasing its barrier again, you can tell by the hovering noise. Repeat this
process till the end of the stage. If Mew does catch up with its barrier,
just hit it again and repeat the pattern until the end.

                                   Signs
                                   -----
After you've completed all stages, before you can enter Rainbow Cloud,
Professor Oak will tell you to find six signs.

Beach: Kingler. After the surfboard, look to your left to see a giant rock
shaped as a Kingler.

Tunnel: Pinsir. Have Pikachu Thundershock the Zapdos egg by playing the
Poké Flute. Zapdos will fly out and charge a generator. When you reach the
third section, you should see a projector creating a Pinsir shadow.

Volcano: Koffing. In the beginning of the stage, throw Pester Balls into the
small volcano to the left. Out will come smoke shaped like a Koffing.

River: Cubone. Above Vileplume is a large tree shaped as a Cubone.

Cave: Mewtwo. To the left of the Weepinbell/Victreebel part, you should see
some shiny objects. Take a picture of them and after the film's developed,
it should shape into a Mewtwo.

Valley: Dugtrio. Pretty obvious, just in the beginning, look forward and you
should see a giant mountain shaped as a Dugtrio.
