Parts Guide
Faq by: nobody at home 2 day
(c) 2004 SD Productions Ltd.
This guide is to help you with (read the title). I made it to assist the
people who need help with the customization of parts and the finding of them
in this game.
Note: I was going to write this FAQ about 4 years ago, but never got
around to it.
Note 2: I got all this part info before the other faq guy. He just updates
his work off of mine.

******Part 2: Finding Secret Parts******
******************************
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each part requires a certain event to happen, from the easiest to beating a
race, to the hardest of having to beat a race with a certain combo of parts
or certain requirements.
Racer 14 body: With a gameshark enter 8021 AFFF 000D at start to select the
racer 14 body when you start a new game. Then switch it over with another
controller pack or just play the game through again.

Accel SS: You must place within one of the top three places on any track in
Class A while equipped with the extra Lights 2 and the weapon Missile 2.
Top End S: You must finish within one of the top three places on any track in
Class A, and at least one of your lap times must end with the numbers 99.

track, with at least one lap time of less than 42 seconds in Class A.

H. laser.

******Part 3: Recommended Part Setups******
*********************************
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each Class of racing has a limit on part points that can be used:
Class C: 6
Class B: 10
Class A: 14
Class AA: Unlimited
Here are some suggestions on what parts to be using in each class.
Note: You don't start off with a huge variety of part and it will take a
lot of racing to get what you need, so try to match the recommended parts
listed as close as possible if you don't have all the necessary parts.
The parts you start off with are:
The body you picked, Stock 1-3, Street 1, Brake 1, Susp. 1, Spin attack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------Class C:-------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its the first Class you race in. The races will be at a slow pace due to the
limit on points. So all of the AI cars will be going as slow as you. There
are no great parts to get in this race. At least it will be rare that
weapons are used by the AI.

of the races starts to increase. You will find better parts but nothing that
would give you a guaranteed winning chance.

--------------------------------Class A:--------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, a class where you can start getting prepared for the AA Class, which
is right after it. The AI will now definitely use weapons, but in an annoying
variety. They are also faster and are in a more body checking mood to bash you
off the track, so be prepared for road rage occasions. Remember, this class
has secret parts in it, so winning these will help you in Class AA as well.
Body: 1-13 (makes no difference)

--------------------------------Class AA:-------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The final class. It's an all out battle with the AI with unlimited use of
points for customizing your car. Use your best parts and be prepared for some
serious usage of weapons. You better have the max of most part categories or
your in for some tough times at trying to come in the top 3.

******Part 4: Some Hints and Tips******
*****************************
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Suspension 1-3 and Brakes 1-3 are woth the same amount of points. So that
means you can upgrades these parts up to the maximum range before it is worth
more points. While 1-3 is 1 point, 4-6 is 2 points, and 7-9 is worth 3
points. Its also the same with the engines, but instead it goes 1-2 is 1
point, 3-5 is 2 points, 6-8 is 3 points and 9 is 4 points.
-Certain tires may be just as effective as the suggested tires for a certain
track. Street tires work as well as aqua tires on Lakeside, as well as Street
tires working as well as Offroad Tires on the ruins track.
-Some tires are better than others even when only certain tires work on a
certain track. Aqua and Street tires are literally crap on Icy roads, while
Offroad tires work averagely, and Snow tires work wonders.
-The AI has a certain speed set in it. Like when in Mario Kart, no matter
how far you got ahead, the AI caught up to you. This does not happen in this
game.
-The AI may not be as fast as you in racing, but they can plant mines and tire
spikes in various key places where it is impossible to avoid it. Use the
barrel roll to counter-attack these traps.
-Finding Secret Parts sometimes happen with random combos and different
ways of racing. Some instances could be like never get hit by the AI in a
race, don't use a weapon throughout a race, or just wear random sets of parts
for some races and see what happens.
-When you sometimes complete a lap and have used some uses of your weapon,
you will get some shots, charges, etc. back. But if your weapon disappears
when you run out (some do), then you won't even have a chance of getting a
refund. So keep at least 1 use left for lap recharging.
-With the Right-C button you can switch to a guage for your RPM of your
engine. Try to accelerate it at the beginning before the green light to just
about five so you accelerate faster than from one. Just remember that if you
go over, you are stuck with the normal accelerating time because it will not
go above one after that. This is very effective for all engines, but
especially effective for Top End engines.
