///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
This is my first FAQ so bear with me.  This will explain my very
uninteresting title.  I just noticed that nobody is talking about the
multiplayer options of this great game so I thought I'd send something
in.

And just to warn you since this is a Teen rated (Ages 13+) game I will
be speaking and using terms that are allowed in any PG-13 movie.  I use
this usually when I try to add a bit of humor to something.  If you are
offended by this, well tough.  Don't bitch and moan to me about how you
like to be able to read things.  I don't over do it and don't mean any
disrespect so if you take it the wrong way well, it's your own damn
fault.  Just lighten up, geez people.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Version 1.2:  12- 2-99, Nothing big just changed my e-mail address.  So
people gave me some advice, I think DK64 is stealing all the thunder
from Jet Force so this could probably be the last update I ever need to
do.  I made it pretty complete the first time.
***********************************************************************
Version 1.1:  11-12-99, Noticed my table was messed up in the coding.
Also some of my smilies for some reason changed in the zipping process.
So I fixed those minor glitches.
***********************************************************************
Version 1.0:  11-11-99, First draft. Hopefully I'll get high scores,
FAQs, and other such things going in this FAQ. So E-mail me.

CHARACTERS
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
In this section I look at all the characters available in the
multiplayer. I will be using terms through this to make my typing less
so.  The terms are as follows:
Clinger  = Means that when the character is next to a ledge they will
grab on and be able to pull themselves up.
Mermaid  = Means that the character can go underwater. I call it being
a mermaid cause only female type characters seem to have
          this ability.
Asbestos = Means the character can walk through lava and other super
heated liquid materials as if it was cool fresh water.
Snake    = Means character can get on their belly and crawl around.
For Sizes: Petite  = Dang small and fast, hard to hit
          Medium  = The middle ground
Cartman = These are some major Beefcaked characters, easy to
hit and slow, but usually have a lot more armor.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Juno
SPECIES TYPE: Human
AVAILABLE FROM: Very start
DESCRIPTION: Your typical alien fighting hero type.  Helmet, armor, and
blue eyes
SIZE: Medium
ADVANTAGES: Clinger, Asbestos, Snake
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid
OTHER: NA
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Vela
SPECIES TYPE: Human
AVAILABLE FROM: Very start
DESCRIPTION: The only babe in the game, Blue hair w/ gravity defying
pigtails and huge eyes that make her seem like some Japanese Anime
character
SIZE: Medium (probably about a 34C though)
ADVANTAGES: Mermaid, Clinger, Snake
WEAKNESSES: Non-Asbestos
OTHER: She's my favorite character. I usually call her the Intergalatic
Cheerleader.  She has all be best abilities (I can deal with not being
able to walk on fire) and since she can go underwater she has a major
ability over most other characters.  Plus she's easy on the eyes
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Lupus
SPECIES TYPE: Canine, looks like a terrier
AVAILABLE FROM: Very start
DESCRIPTION: He's a dog with rocket pad in his feet and a gun on his
back.  Definitely one hell of a cool pet.
SIZE: Petite
ADVANTAGES: Only character that can fly in multiplayer.(well aside from
beefed up Lupus)
WEAKNESSES: Non-Asbestos, Non-Mermaid, Non-Clinger, Non-Snake
OTHER:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Powered Juno
SPECIES TYPE: Human
AVAILABLE FROM: After you defeat Mizar the first time
DESCRIPTION: Same guy basically just has a more armored look, and that
jetpack
SIZE: Medium
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos, Clinger, Snake
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid
OTHER: Jetpacks are useless so go for the powered up only for the looks
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Powered Vela
SPECIES TYPE: Human
AVAILABLE FROM: After you defeat Mizar the first time
DESCRIPTION: Same babe as before but has more cover and a big backpack
SIZE: Medium (I'm not making the same joke twice)
ADVANTAGES: Mermaid, Clinger, Snake
WEAKNESSES: Non-Asbestos
OTHER: I personally like the non-powered version better.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Powered Lupus (Bionic Lupus Tank, or BLT for short)
SPECIES TYPE: Dog
AVAILABLE FROM: Kicking Mizars butt round #1
DESCRIPTION: he gets the best armor upgrade.  He's a tank! I mean it's
a tank with a dog's head attached.  Well he beat Mizar all by himself
so he deserves to take a load off his feet for the rest of the game.
SIZE: Petite (but is a bit larger than the non-powered Lupus)
ADVANTAGES: Flys at anytime.
WEAKNESSES: Non-mermaid, Non-Snake, Non-Clinger, Non-Asbestos
OTHER: As a side note, anybody that has played Smash Bros will know
it's fun to "taunt" someone when they die.  And Lupus is the only
character you can do this with.  Just hit C-down. And he'll howl his
victory cry. =-P  On top of all this (damn he's a fun character) Since
he floats in water, instead of swimming, he is the only character that
can fire his weapon while in the water.  Not horribly useful but none
the less a good bit a trivia to know in a bind.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Blue Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: SS Anubis Hold Catwalks *Totem Pole*
DESCRIPTION: The soldier drone you have seen that makes up almost 50%
of the things you will destroy in the game
SIZE: Medium
ADVANTAGES: Mermaid, Clinger, Snake
WEAKNESSES: Non-asbestos.
OTHER: This is Vela in her feelers and thorax suit, so it's the same
character without the cosmetic advantage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Green Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: Spawnship Troop Carrier (use Lupus to fly under the
floating platforms) *Totem Pole*
DESCRIPTION: It's that Green Sniper wimp you always get mad at for
shooting you in the back of the head when others are shooting you from
the front.
SIZE: Medium
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos, Snake, Clinger
WEAKNESSES: Non-mermaid
OTHER: This is Juno in his Bug costume
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Red Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Ant (again)
AVAILABLE FROM: Ichor Military Base (in the room with the colored
platforms there is a door that goes to a big room of Lava. Use Juno)
*Totem Pole*
DESCRIPTION: Well it's the same ant but red.  In the game it's the
annoyingly super soldier ants.
SIZE: Medium
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos, Snake, Clinger
WEAKNESSES: Non-mermaid
OTHER: This must be Juno again when he thought he'd look better in red.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Yellow Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: Goldwood Outset (near the end use Vela to dive deep)
*Totem Pole*
DESCRIPTION: It's the Cowardly Yellow Ant. They are just fun to kill.
SIZE: Medium
ADVANTAGES: Mermaid, Clinger, Snake
WEAKNESSES: Non-Asbestos
OTHER: It's just Vela in a yellow suit.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Female Tribal
SPECIES TYPE: Um...... a tribal (a cross breed between an Ewok and a
JigglyPuff)
AVAILABLE FROM: Rith Essa Mine (jet pack up the elevator shaft) *Totem
Pole*
DESCRIPTION: It's a Tribal, there are lots of them around this game.  I
am sure you have seen them and probably have even shot at them a few
times.
SIZE: Petite
ADVANTAGES: Mermaid, Snake, Clinger
WEAKNESSES: Non-Asbestos
OTHER: It's Vela in a teddy ....... bear suit :-)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Male Tribal
SPECIES TYPE: Take a wild shot and the dark and guess
AVAILABLE FROM: Sekhmet Battle Cruiser (behind the room with the
Magenta Lock, use the **surprise surprise** Magenta Key) *totem pole*
DESCRIPTION: It's a Tribal.... only the more um.... manly one.
SIZE: Petite
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos, Snake, Clinger
WEAKNESSES: Non-mermaid
OTHER: This is Juno in his teddy bear suit
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Armor Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: Tawfret Bridge (using Vela to swim in the cave under
the bridge) *totem Pole*
DESCRIPTION: Ok take the ordinary drone... make him brown... give him a
really big armor plated green back plate.  Looks kinda like a cross
breed of a turtle and an ant
SIZE: Cartman
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid, Non-snake, Non-clinger
OTHER: NA
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Stag Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: Mizar's Palace Lobby (in the little nook behind the
**little hint to the secret** Stag Drone in the room with all the
Lava)*totem pole*
DESCRIPTION: Like a big purple steroid pumped ant.  Armored up but
slow.
SIZE: Cartman
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid, Non-snake, Non-clinger
OTHER: Too bad you can't take the weapons these guys have in the game
as your default instead of the dumb Pistol
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Infantry Weevil
SPECIES TYPE: gee um Weevil
AVAILABLE FROM: Sekhmet Battle Cruiser (on top of that corkscrew like
rise, only Lupus can reach it) *totem pole*
DESCRIPTION: Now this guy is definately a turtle type character.  He's
big and green and has a big hump on his back.

ADVANTAGES: Asbestos
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid, Non-snake, Non-clinger
OTHER: NA
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Zombie Stag Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Undead Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: Tawfrat Bridge (there is the lonely little huh sitting
all alone over there that only Lupus can reach) *totem pole*
DESCRIPTION: ok take a stag drone.  Make him a brownish fleshy color,
and make him lose his dark eyes for glowing yellowish ones.
SIZE: Cartman
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid, Non-snake, Non-clinger
OTHER: NA
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Cyborg Drone
SPECIES TYPE: Robo-Ant
AVAILABLE FROM: ****Win an Expert Award in each and everyone of Floyds
five missions (complete secondary objectives (destroy everything target
and get every object) in under a very short amount of time)
DESCRIPTION: A Frankenstein Ant.  Looks like a Stag Beetle with parts
of a Zombie and parts that are metal.
SIZE: Super Beefcake Cartman, twice the armor of any character
ADVANTAGES: Asbestos, Jumps twice as high as any other character
WEAKNESSES: Non-Mermaid, Non-snake, Non-clinger
OTHER: Good luck it's very very very hard to get.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Here I will discuss the options just for the heck of doing it.

Types of Multiplayer
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
BATTLE MODE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Types of Battles:
     - Time limited: Kill as many other people as you can in a match
that lasts from anywhere from one minute to 29 minutes.
     - Slaughter: Set the number of kills you have and be the first to
hit that number to win.  From one to 20 kills.
     - Survivor: You have a set number of lives and be the last man,
woman, bear, or bug standing and you will reign supreme.  Anywhere from
the realistic one life to the Cat like nine lives.
***********************************************************************
Weapons:
*Note: you always start with a 100 capacity pistol

sweeping arm passes over their location.

Levels:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
AVAILABLE AT BEGINNING
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: SS Anubis
DESCRIPTION:  A rather small room with nine crates stacked around.  Not
too much fun especially with Heavy weapons.
STRAGETITIES:  If you are a smaller character (Hint Lupus) you can
stand on the top center stack of boxes and shoot people away while then
shoot over your head.  There is also Invisibility (or Invinciblity) up
here. To help you out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: Tawfret
DESCRIPTION:  Now this is more like it.  You have about four areas in
here all pretty much looped around.  Area 1 is an open area that splits
to the left to Area 2 and forward to Area 3.  Area 2 is a huge room
with health and a lot of columns that at the end opens into Area 3.
Area 3 is a huge hallway that has a big river down the middle it ends
in Area 4.  Area 4 has a huge rock formation and is a nice place to
fill up on health and ammo.
STRAGETITIES:  The Advantage in this place is a "Mermaid-type"
character.  There is a big river flowing in this area and there is an
underwater shortcut.
            - Also for some reason Tribals seem to just blend into
this place.  They are especially good at hiding in the dark corners.
            - So add the two together a Female Tribal is the best
character to use in this Level.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: Rith Essa
DESCRIPTION: There are four natural "horseshoe" forts in the corners of
this area.  There is also a lot of tunnels and sunken areas. A very fun
place.
STRAGETITIES: Hiding out in and on top of the "house" in the middle is
usually a good move.  It's pretty well protected, you can usually pick
someone off at a distance and if you are in serious trouble you can
leap up to the top and grab the (Invis-Invic)ibility at the top.
           - Tunneling is a great thing in this place.  Definately
pick a small character or at least a character that is a "Snake-type"
           - I found Lupus to be the best for this place.  He can take
the tunnels head on, he can get to the top of the house in the middle
and use his jets to fly in at the unexpecting enemies.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: Close Quarters
DESCRIPTION: Yes though the smallest level is SS Anubis Close Quarters
makes you feel claustrophobic.  It is a huge warehouse like area.
There are windows and boxes galore.  There are three buildings (a
large, a medium, and a small) And two places to get on the roof.
STRAGETITIES: Getting on the roof is great, first you load up on
weapons and ammo then get on the roof.  Then all you have to do it turn
around, drop some kind of explosive (remote mine works very well here)
down on the boxes you used to get up. When someone tries to get up blow
up the boxes.  They'll get hurt maybe die and you are king of the
mountain as you sniper the rest of them to death.  Also try to be the
first one up so that if someone tries to use the other rooftop entrance
you can pick them off before they know what hit them.
           - Smashy smashy.... to quote Bart Simpson when he was
breaking window to get the cameras to stop the Itchy and Scratchy
robots that were trying to kill them.  Well do the same to save
yourself.  Bust open those windows. Then you can get inside and out of
the buildings faster and it's an unexpected ambush to have someone jump
out of a window at you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: Rith Essa Mine
HOW TO UNLOCK: Go to the Walkway and be either Juno or Vela when they
are jetpack capable.  After shooting a half dozen drones go to the back
left side.  There will be a Jet fuelpad. Now if you gotta see it go
back to the front and look up. On the highest point over the life force
door is a totem pole sitting there calling to you.  Just fly up and get
it. I suggest doing this with Juno and getting this totem when you are
trying to collect all the tribals anyway. Since the easiest way to get
them all requires you to land where the totem pole is anyway.
DESCRIPTION:  It is a 3 story level.  The top has an open area that has
both an elevator and a stairway down. The stair way shows a wide open
area that has platforms winding above and a pool with columns below.
The Elevator has no view =-) but is faster.
STRAGETITIES: The stairway is slower and open, but the elevator is a
long trip straight up or down and if you are in the elevator shaft
well, you can't leave until you are done riding and a few grenades down
the shaft could end that trip.  So know the weaknesses of both ways and
learn how to turn them against your enemies.
           - Though I found one thing that is fun is falling down the
elevator shaft.  In the middle and on the bottom are some Invincibility
items (remember to use Heavy weapons for this trick).  You can go
kamikaze style falling to the bottom and pick up the invincibility and
not get hurt. It's also pretty awesome feeling to be this invincible
death from above guy when you are falling after an enemy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: SpaceStation
HOW TO UNLOCK: Well if you can't find this then that's pretty sad.  Ok
I take that back.  First you have to get to the Spacestation level
using Vela in Goldwood to take the water exit.  Then once you get there
you can just go on playing the level the first thing you'll notice is
the Jet fuelpad. When you notice this just fall down and you will see
the totem pole.  I suggest getting a bit of fuel first so you can just
jet back up to the top.
DESCRIPTION:  This is a very nice place.  Here everybody has both their
advantages and disadvantages.  It has a lower open area and an upper
more closed off area.  The only problem is the flickering lights make
for difficult aiming.
STRAGETITIES:  If you are a Mermaid-type player I suggest keeping close
to the water.  If you dive down there is an underground passageway that
has health in it and can be a nice way to run from battle to charge up
and re-load.
            - If you are Lupus you can collect Gems in the hard to
reach areas that others can't reach without shooting them and running
for them.
            - And if you are an Asbestos-type player you can rule the
area where some heated chemical waste spilled.  It has health and
(Invinc-Invis)ibility along with some good weapons close-by.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: Tunnels
HOW TO UNLOCK: Just dive in the Rith Essa area with Vela right in the
area where there is a nice waterfall and an open clear lake.  There
should be a nice totem pole waiting for you.
DESCRIPTION:  Well it's a few tunnels that just look around in kind of
an eight.  There are three cul-de-sacs that are dead ends.  All in all
it'll keep you on your toes.
STRAGETITIES:  If you can corner someone in a cul-de-sac, they can't
really escape without getting hit many times with your firepower. Just
make sure there are no cheap bums out to shoot you in the back for a
cheap kill.
            - Don't stand still.  Ever.  Only if you are invisible
(and this wears off very quickly) can you sit in one place and expect
to live through it. In the tunnels there is no place to hide but
straight ahead and if someone is hitting you that is not good.  Learn
how to be able to snap around and start shooting while running
backwards.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
TITLE: King of the Hill
HOW TO UNLOCK: In the same room on Cerulean as the Yellow Key is this
very easy to find Totem Pole.
DESCRIPTION:  No it's not the animated TV series that come on before
the Simpsons on Sundays. It is a circular place with tons and tons and
tons of ammo.  It's not huge but not too small.  The key point is the
"hill" where there is health and ammo for every weapon but your rapid
firing one and of course the (Invis-Invinc)ibility item.
STRAGETITIES: Well be like the levels name sake and be the King of the
Hill.  Get on that hill and you can stock up fast and mow others down
and just get back up there. Also if you are a short character (cough!
Cough! Lupus! Cough!) sorry folks had a tickle in my throat =-) but
anyway.  Short Character can shoot from above while keeping his spot on
the hill and letting the fire power fly over his head.
           - Well being a short character is just great in this level.
There are trenches all around so that if a person is not in them they
won't see you coming.  This is easiest for the B.L.T. (not the sandwich
remember my nick name for Powered Lupus) or maybe a Tribal.  But BLT is
a more intimidating character.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
TARGET SHOOT
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
OPTIONS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ammo: You can have unlimited bullets.  But as you get better you might
want to limit your ammo to 100, 80, 60, and even only 40 bullets.
Control: Normal = when analog stick is not being moved the cursor snaps
to center of screen
      - Directional = when analog stick is not being moved the cursor
stays were it was last.
      - Inverse = same as directional except the direction you move
the analog stick will be reversed for the direction the cursor moves.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
LEVELS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: SS Anubis
AVAILABLE AT: Very Beginning
DESCRIPTION: Very narrow alleys that have stacked metal crates
everywhere.  Ants usually pop up in pairs where they are either hiding
halfway behind a crated or they are in the open but they have tribals
with them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Goldwood
AVAILABLE AT: Must win a gold on Floyd's Goldwood Mission
DESCRIPTION: Very wide open so there are less places for the ants to
hide.  But for some reason the ants are just as hard to hit.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NAME: Normal (Rith Essa)
AVAILABLE AT: Must win a gold on Floyd's Eschebone Mission
DESCRIPTION: Drones pop up in huge groups with this one.  There are
large winding pathways and a long switchback.  I like this one best of
all, of course it's the hardest to earn.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

will grab you the lead.  When you leave the woods area take a hard left

you are careful.
