I: ABOUT THIS FAQ & ME
---------------------
This FAQ is for the Game.Com version of Duke Nukem 3D. Right now it is
incomplete because I still have to add the layout of all the levels,
but right now I'll just tell you about some basic things. This is my
first FAQ and i wanted to pick a game that no one had written a FAQ on
yet, so I decided to choose Duke 3D for the game.com. For an 8-bit sys-
tem, the game.com does a very good job of bringing Duke 3D to the small
screen. If you would like to use this Faq on a web page or update it,
please e-mail me and tell me so I can keep track of who reads my FAQs
for future reference. You are free to update this FAQ, just leave my

II: THE GAME
---------------------
If youve ever played Duke 3D before, you know the story. The Earth has
been invaded by aliens, and it's your job to stop them, and destroy
them. To do this though you have to use many different weapons and
attack methods to take all the alien enemies out.
Duke Nukem 3D for the game.com is very different then it's PC counter-
part because in this version, you can only move forward, backwards,
and strafe left & right. In the PC version, you can turn left and
right, and then move forward, but in this version you can only strafe
left and right. While this does take some getting used to, in the end
it's easy to navigate in the 3D levels.
Here are the controls for the game:
A: Fire Current Weapon
B: Aim Left & Shoot
C: Aim Right & Shoot
D: Cycle Through Weapons
UP: Move Forward
DOWN: Move Backwards
LEFT: Strafe Left
RIGHT: Strafe Right
UP + D: Open Doors

III: THE WEAPONS
---------------------
Boot- This is your only weapon when your ammo runs out. You shouldn't
ever have to use it though, because ammo is always plentiful.
If you do have to use it though, you should stop playing
because all your doing is wasting your time because your such a
bad player.
Pistol- Takes clips of pistol ammo. Can fire 6 rounds in a row without
having to reload. Can carry a maximum of 200 bullets. Each Clip
& Pistol comes with 6 rounds of ammo in it.
Shotgun-More powerful weapon. Probably the weapon you'll be using the
most throughout the game. Can only fire 1 round and then it has
to reload. Can carry a maximum of 50 rounds. Each shotgun & box
of ammo you find is also has 6 rounds included with it, just
like the pistol.
RPG- Short for Rocket Propelled Grenade. Kills all enemies in one
shot. Hard to find ammo for it. Powerful against Octobrain &
Enforcer. Each RPG and box of shells come with 5 rounds of ammo
for it. The RPG can carry 50 rounds at a time.

IV: THE ENEMIES
---------------------
Assault Troops- Most common type of enemy found in the game. These can
be killed with a few rounds of ammo or one shot from a
shotgun or the rpg.
Pig Cop- Easy to kill, good source of ammo for the shotgun.
Shouldn't cause too much trouble.
Enforcer- Can cause a lot of damage (if you don't have armor) so
take him out quickly with eith the rpg or shotgun.
Octobrain- Not quite as powerful as the Enforcer, but he is harder
to kill. You can kill this guy with one shotgun blast
if the back of his head is pointing at you. When facing
him dead on in a narrow passageway, run up to him,
shoot, run back 3 steps, and then run back at him and
shoot him with your shotgun. This should kill him
everytime and he won't even shoot back!

V: THE ITEMS

Med Kit- If you pick this up you'll replenish Duke's health a
lot.
Armor- Will protect you a lot from enemies such as Enforcer
and Octobrain's attacks.
Key Card- Hidden throughout levels and used to unlock doors.
