Doraemon, Anpanman and Sazaesan are probably the 3 most popular anime characters
in Japan. Because of their long running TV programs everyone, from young to old
can recognize them. However all three have failed to become popular in the
English speaking world.
Doraemon was created by Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko in 1970. Since then
1,464 stories have been published which have sold over 100 million combined
copies all over the world. The second Doraemon anime has 1,787 episodes.
Doraemon films are released on an annual basis, there are 41 so far. So it is no
surprised that it is the highest grossing anime film series ever. So far 63
Doraemon video games have been released, and he makes appearances in many
others. As of 2016 the Doraemon franchise has generated at least 5.5 billion
dollars of merchandise sales world wide.
Doraemon is a robot cat from the future who lives in the desk drawer of the
young boy, Nobita. He has a tummy pouch which has infinite dimensions so it can
hold all of his secret tools that they use on their adventures. His most famous
tool is probably the pink Anywhere Door that allows them to travel in time and
space. Despite being famous throughout Asia, especially in India, Doraemon
failed to take off in the west, probably due to his terrible screechy old man
voice.
Released on July 28th 2000 by AT Co, this is the third and final Doraemon game
on the N64. It features a multiplayer minigame mode with 9 games. The British
publication N64 Magazine reviewed the first two games, giving them 60% and 52%
respectively. They called them “slightly confusing and all too tedious Mario
clones.”

2.Manual Translation
Story
In summer vacation Nobita was grudgingly studying at his desk. To stop him from
neglecting his work, Doraemon was by his side.
“Ah…I’ll never finish this homework…”
“Concentrate!”
Suddenly, something shining fell from the sky.
“Ah! A meteorite!”
In a panic Nobita dashed outside and met Shizuka on the street. She was holding
a fragment of the meteorite in her hands.
“That’s the meteorite I just saw…”
Then Suneo and Gian appeared. They were both holding fragments of the meteorite
as well.
“This looks like a coat of arms…”
“I saw it break into 3 pieces in the air!”
The four of them joined the 3 pieces of the meteorite together again.
As soon as the 3 pieces joined together a very bright flash of light radiated
from the meteorite!!
“Whoa!”
In a trance, Nobita hid in a pipe in the middle of an empty lot.
Countless lightning bolts flashed across the sky above the town.
Shaking and swaying the whole town rose and flew into the space.
The town touched down on a mysterious planet.
Before long, some enigmatic robot soldiers appeared.
One by one, they hunted down the people of the town.
Nobita suddenly realized he could not see Shizuka, Suneo and Gian.
In a panic he returned home, and woke up Doraemon who had been knocked out.
“Let’s search the surrounding area”
Doraemon and Nobita’s adventures had started again...
Characters

Doraemon
A cat shaped robot from the 22nd century. He helps people in trouble with his
secret tools.
His HP 8, and his swimming speed is fast.
Nobita
A clumsy, lazy young boy. But he is good hearted and honest.
His HP is 6.
Shizuka
A kind girl who always helps Nobita when he is being bullied. She loves being
clean and taking baths.
Her HP is 6, her walking and swimming speeds are fast and her jumping power is
high.
The character of choice for speedrunners. Unlocked after beating their boss
battle.
Suneo
He bullies Nobita with Gian but, real he is a timid boy who is often sad.
His HP is 6. His speed is fast and his jumping power is high. Unlocked after
beating their boss battle.
Gian
He is always bullying Nobita but, he has a strong sense of justice.
His HP is 10. Unlocked after beating their boss battle.
Dorami
Doraemon’s younger sister. She looks up to her younger brother, she is a robot
you can realy rely on. She lives in the 22nd centuary.
Her HP is 8. Her jumping power is high and her swimming speed is fast. Unlocked
at the end of the game.
Nobiru
A boy who lives on the planet Dakuto, the place where Nobita’s town lands.
Lena
Nobiru’s younger sister. She is a kind girl who looks up to her older brother.
Emperor Bugle
A evil emperor wearing a space suit. In order to investigate many planets
cultures he brings whole towns to planet Dakuto.
Controls
These are the controls for the main game. The mini-games all have their own
controls.
3D Stick – Move the cursor/character/free camera
A Button – Jump / Swim / Confirm
B Button – Attack / Talk / Go back one menu screen
C Up – Switch to close up camera mode
C Down - Switch to wide camera mode
L Button – On the stage screen, save the game.
R Button – Switch to free camera mode
Z Trigger – Recenter the camera behind your character
Start Button - Pause
How to start the game
First choose one of the three files to save your game to. You can also choose to

The number of the area you are on
Your play time
The character you were using when you saved
The difficulty (yellow – easy, red difficult)
The number of mini-games you can play
Story Mode
How to advance the game
After watching the intro cut-scene retrun to Nobita’s house and talk to
Doraemon. If you leave the town you will move to the stage select screen.
The stage select screen
Use the 3D to move the Gyro Capsule and choose a stage. Each stage has a tower
to clear before moving onto the next area. If you press the L Button on this
screen you can save the game.
The game screen
Your health, the hearts, is shown in the top left. If you lose all your hearts
you will switch to the next available character. If you have no other available
characters the game will end.
The power gauge is in the bottom right, next to your currently equipped weapon.
When you fire some weapons you must hold down the B Button and release it in
order to set the firing or throwing strength.

If you press the Start Button during the game the following options will be
displayed.

The current items name will be displayed at the top of the screen, along with
all the other items you have underneath. There are 3 pages of items. When you
select an item the following choices will be displayed;
Use the item
Recover – Use a Gas Spray on an item or weapon.
Item explanation
The numbered slimes in the top right shows you how many weapons are covered in
Space Time Slime. The black spray can in the bottom left shows you how many Gas
Sprays you have. You can find the gas sprays in the levels. You will not be able
to use your items or weapons until you remove the Space Time Slime from them
using the Gas Spray.
WEAPON
The same as the items screen but for your weapons.
STATUS screen
Shows your currently selected character and their health at the top of the
screen.
Their stats will be on the right hand side of the screen.
You can select other characters by using the 3D Stick. If they are sitting down
that means their life is at 0, and they cannot be used. If you give them a Red
Recovery Capsule they will be revived. At the start of a new game you will only
be able to use Doraemon and Nobita.
Main Items and Secret tools
Red Heart Apples – Recover 1 point of health.
Yellow Heart Apples - Recover your whole health bar.
Red Recovery Capsule – If you life drops to 0 your character will recover.
Black Gas Spray – Removes Space Time Slime so you can get secret tools.
Energy Stone – A secret crystal used to make things. Unlocks a bonus minigame.
Red Grinning Bluff Ball – A bomb that creates light and noise when it explodes.
Shock Wave Pistol – A pistol that rapid fires masses of air instead of bullets.
Air Cannon – A big cannon that uses air pressure.
Light Jar – When sprinkled on stones it creates light. Us e it in places like
dark caves.
Bloom powder – It can make flowers bloom on any plant.
About the camera
There are 3 camera modes to choose from as follows
Wide Mode- The camera will automatically move around the character, it is easily
to move play in this mode. Press C Down to switch to this mode.
Close Up Mode – You can see the characters cute expressions easily in this mode.
Press C Up to switch to this mode.
Look Around Mode – This switches the camera to the characters POV, you can look
around by moving the 3D Stick. Use this to look carefully around you. You cannot
move the character in this mode. Press the R Button to switch to this mode.
Game Land Mode
First select the number of players from 2 to 4. Then each player can choose a
character. Next you can choose one of 9 minigames to play. You can also unlock a
bonus game once you collect the Energy Stone in the Story Mode. Before the game
starts the rules and controls will be displayed. Press the Start Button to begin
the game.
Mini-games
All the mini games are for 4 players apart from “Crowd Voice Shot”. Here are the
rules for each game.

Aim to get to the goal before anyone else. To advance alternate tapping the A
and B Buttons to match the timing of the moving bar at the bottom of the screen.

Aim to get to the goal before anyone else. The road is very slippery.
キュービックルーレット Cubic Roulette
Within the time limit, collect as many of the same picture that is shown in the
center of the screen.
早撃ちナンバーショット Quick Draw Number Shot
Shot the 9 panels in order faster than anyone else.

Shot the panels and compete to get the most points. Some panels will take points
away from you if you shoot them.
こけおどし合戦 Bluff Battle
Throw the bluff balls to reduce your opponents life meter.
９パズルバトル 9 Puzzle Battle
Within the time limit complete the picture by moving the 9 pieces.
声カタマリンショット Crowd Voice Shot
Defeat the monsters which are approaching the food by press the correct buttons.

The game is divided into 4 areas. You can advance to the next area by defeating

Metal Tower-You can enter it by breaking the 3 shield generators. Beat the boss
to free Suneo

Second Underground City- Dr. Two's house. The director of the management bureau,
is look for three star pieces.
Rix Lake
Kiraf Forest
Dragonia Alien Town-Inhabited by lizard aliens. Use the impersonator plate or
the Genemic to talk to them.
Posed Sea
Garlock Tower-Wake up Majin at the sea and destroy the barrier to enter. Beat
the boss to free Gian
Area 4
When you enter this area, Doraemon will be kidnapped and will be unusable for a
while. His secret tools can be used as usual.
Latina cave
Mt Kogor
Popika Alien Town
Tower of Miele-Collect the two mirror pieces to enter. Beat the boss here to
free Doraemon.
Bugle Station-Appears after defeating the Space-Time Master at the Tower of
Miele. Dorami will join you now and give you the hyper air cannon to fight the
last boss, Emperor Bugle.
