Eons ago, on a routine mission charting unknown planets, a survey team from the
Hyperian Empire discovered an artifact lodged inside an unusual spatial tear.
When this Core Prime Element was extracted, the crevice expanded with such
astonishing force that an explosion erupted sending shockwaves throughout the
galaxy.
The surrounding planets were reduced to mere debris and began revolving around
what is now known as...
Colonel Aaron Maverick of the Colonial Commando Special Task Force has been
sent by the Earth's dwindling militia to retrieve the Core Prime Element. It is
believed the Core Prime Element's life-giving powers are the only substance
that can heal the tortured and devastated Earth.
Aaron is a weapon and explosives expert and the MFG-16 is one big gun that
never leaves his side. While Aaron is a master in Karate, he has a special
affection for projectile weaponry. Without doubt, he is a one man killing
machine.
For centuries, Demitron has been waiting patiently in the Dark Dimension for
other pieces of the master key to surface. When the Chosen Ones were boldly
demonstrating the power of the Core Prime Element during their reign, Demitron
knew the time had come to take action.
Demitron has tremendous physical powers. His attacks are devastating and
difficult for any opponent to defend. He is an expert in most known fighting
styles and has no apparent weaknesses. Only the most skilled challenger will
defeat Demitron.
Demonica is a vile creature from the Dark Dimension. Many years ago, she was
sent into the Neutral Dimension to secure Sonork's Core Prime Element and
deliver it to her master, the Lord Demon Demitron. When she failed in her
mission, she told Sonork secret information in exchange for her life. Demonica
now battles for the Core Prime Element so she may enter the dimensional portal,
present her master with the valuable prize and reclaim her much coveted Arch
Demon title.
If Demonica's grotesque physical appearance does not ward off challengers, they
will experience a bizarre and horrific battle. Some of Demonica's favorite long
range weapons are her flaming breath tactic and her fiery pelvic projectile.
The crouching, animalistic fighting style she employs is a frenzy of attack
leaps, neck and face biting and poisonous body clawing.
Unknown to all, Eve was the creator of the Sentient Integrated Droids. She was
hired by Sonork long ago to create a series of perfect mechanical intelligent
soldiers. When the majority of the Sentient Droids became deranged, Sonork
decided to wipe out any trace of the project.
A team of assassins were brought in to completely destroy the secret Eden
Laboratory and everyone involved. Eve, badly wounded, managed to escape to a
subterranean laboratory where a highly advanced prototype was stored. Sure she
would not survive her injuries, Eve manipulated an experimental technique to
transfer her brain pattern to the Sentient Neural Network. Her only hope to
re-animate her human body is to procure the rejuvenating Core Prime Element.
Gore of the Highlands is the new and acclaimed champion of Dorlon. His only
goal in life is to be the undisputed champion of his people. He will stop at
nothing to achieve this goal, even if it means crushing every bone in the
bodies of his opponents.
Gore's fighting technique employs basic brute physical power. He can wield his
massive battle-ax with unbelievable ease. While his body is a huge cumbersome
mass, he is extremely powerful and will pulverize any opponent within reach.
The Falling Tree technique emphasizes his weighty momentum and allows his
deadly spin-slash attacks to do the most damage.
Morphix is a strange energy being and is known to attack only when he is
threatened or provoked. While his intention is a mystery, it is speculated that
he is an entity from the Light Dimension and may have the Light Prime Element
in his possession.
Morphix's fighting style is quite unusual. He is similar to a huge blender, as
his arms turn into blades and spin his body around at amazing speeds. Morphix's
physical structure is also quite different from other humanoids. He is
multi-jointed and unnaturally flexible. Because of the peculiar fighting
technique, his attacks are unpredictable and difficult to defend.
Niiki is a Princess from the Jungle City of Faralon. Like most young
Princesses, she is a self absorbed trouble maker. Because her father, the King,
forbade her to leave the protected palace walls, she immediately disguised
herself as a Faralon commoner and left the palace in search of the Core Prime
Element.
Niiki has been trained to fight by the best instructors, with the expectation
that one day she will succeed her father. Inverse Kinematics is a defensive
fighting technique invented and specifically designed for Niiki. I.K. applies
the principles of balance and leverage to transpose the strength, weight and
momentum of the opponent against himself. Niiki has also been trained in a
series of leap attacks that can prove to be both dangerous and deadly.
Many years ago, Scarlet Zerai was chosen by Sonork as the guardian of the Core
Prime Element. Yet, unknown to Sonork, Scarlet has secretly vowed to
assassinate him and become the Empress of the Chosen Ones.
Scarlet, like her ancestors, shuns all technological advancements and retains a
great fondness for classic weapons, such as the sword. The Traditional Dragon
Slayer Technique Scarlet utilizes is quite deadly and more than compensates for
her weaker lower body. Despite their appearance, the Dragon Slayer sword and
shield are extremely light and razor sharp. Heavy down-chops and up-thrusts are
all typical of the classic moves Scarlet frequently employs.
Armed with the power of the Core Prime Element, Sonork's newest objective is to
procure another part of the Master Key and control the infinite powers the
cosmos has to offer.
Sonork's sociopathic tendencies make him one of the most treacherous opponents.
He actually enjoys killing, pillaging, and general destruction. His enhanced,
manufactured trade-in body parts are quite powerful and when used in battle,
deadly. The upgraded Gatling Plasma Rifle Arm, with attached Fork-Blades,
combined with his bionic leg, are a serious threat to any opponent.
Much of Zenmuron is shrouded in enigma. What is known is based solely on his
appearance. While he is rarely seen, there has never been a situation that he
is without his long Samurai sword. Rumors have emerged that he wields his sword
with great ability and has successfully unified lethal Ninja techniques with
potent Samurai style.
Because no one has battled against Zenmuron and lived, his fighting technique
will remain a mystery until he is either conquered or becomes champion of the
Core Prime Element. It is only then that his intentions will be evident.
[The final fight starts with your character confronting Demitron in a desert.

DEMITRON: Pitiful one! Thank you for delivering the Core Prime Element to me...
As a reward, your death will be swift and merciless!
[Once you are victorious, Demitron's body vanishes in a flash of light. Your
character is alone and looks at the Core Prime Element. Each character has a
unique ending. The Nintendo 64 version shows a text crawl. The PC version
includes video endings.]
With the desired Core Prime Element, Aaron heads back to the Commando Special
Task Force Base. His assignment almost completed, he stands confidently in
front of the Force's super-powered generator, element in hand. Hesitating for a
brief moment, he confines the Core Prime Element inside an air tight container
and deposits it into the generator's locked chamber. Immediatedly, the
generator responds to the new entry and begins to hum.
The hum soon becomes deafening and the sliding inner doors start to move. A
violent, white light is emitted and floods the room. Aaron stands back as the
light centers and shoots up toward the sky. He is now assured that the element
has the power to heal the abused and polluted Earth. Outside, this fountain of
healing light jets skyward and begins to fall.
Slowly, the planet is blanketed by the healing energy. As this blanket of
healing light begins to diminish, the Earth's atmosphere is restored to its
original pure state.
Among a foul assemblage of impaled, limp corpses, Lord Demon Demitron holds the
Core Prime Element in his bloody hand and laughs triumphantly. He climbs the
nearest hill and lifts the piece defiantly toward the sky.
Immediately, the heavens begin to gather dark clouds and thunder furiously.
Only Demitron's quick and sporadic shadow is visible as the lighting ignites
the atmosphere below.
Standing firmly, he shakes his lavishly supplied fist in the air. A huge bolt
of lightning splits the sky, simultaneously striking the uplifted piece and
Demitron's bulky body. As the lightning bolt recedes, a strong white light is
left in its path.
Demitron's body is drawn up into the white column and vanishes from the hill.
High above, a black swirling vacuum opens to receive his large mass and once
swallowed, the strange void slowly closes into the unknown.
Among the torturous volcanic terrain of the Hades Mountains, Demonica stands
triumphantly upon Demitron's mangled corpse.
With two pieces of the Master Key in her possession, she is ready to seize Lord
Demitron's position and rule the Dark Dimension. Moving away from Demitron's
bloody cadaver, Demonica bends down to claim her prize. In one blood-thirsty
motion, she decapitates Demitron and grabs the Core Prime Element laying near
his face. Slowly, Demonica steps over her old master's mangled corpse and
hobbles toward his throne. She triumphantly squats in the coveted kingly chair
and leans back in surly delight.
Across her legs rests the skewered head of Demitron with the Core Prime Element
stuffed recklessly in his gaping mouth.
In the devastated subterranean secret laboratory, Eve stands with the Core
Prime Element near her encapsulated human body. She moves closer to the chamber
that holds her cryogenic flesh and peers into the massive, coffin-like
container. Behind a small, hidden door, a snake-like cable shoots out and
attaches itself to the back of Eve's mechanical head.
As the angry cable tightens, Eve's neck is strained back and her fabricated
trunk tenses in defense. The cable then begins to radiate with an intense
electrical charge down its length and back to the chamber. The cryogenic coffin
vibrates with unknown energy and spouts streams of light in all directions.
Suddenly, the chamber door opens revealing a female body.
Grasping at the chamber's door, a hand is thrust out of the container's cover
and is followed by a young woman. As the steam dissipates, the woman lifts
herself out from under the chamber's lid and sits erect, whole once again.
Heavy and large footsteps are tramping through a dark, brutal cave. As light
begins to enter at the mouth of the cavern, Gore's huge form can be
distinguished from the rough walls that surround him. Clutched in both hands,
he holds the Core Prime Element. At the mouth of the cave, Gore raises the
wondrous piece toward his face and for one brief moment he gazes into the
coveted object with great emotion. Looking down, Gore lifts the prize above his
head and steps out to an expansive cliff. He opens his massive arms wide and
howls a wild triumphant cry for all to hear. His people stand at the base of
the cliff cheering in admiration and awe.
With the Core Prime Element, Gore has realized his ultimate goal, to be the
undisputed champion of his Dorion birth-land. Now, there can be no other
warrior as great or powerful.
Morphix, in quiet apathy, stands over the Core Prime Element in awe. Slowly, he
reaches out to touch the wondrous piece. As soon as he makes contact, the Core
Prime Element begins to sparkle and lift into the air. The piece continues to
elevate until it stops and hovers parallel with Morphix's manifested form.
Without warning, it points and launches at Morphix, burying deep inside his
body. From the projectile's sheer force, Morphix's form is lifted and thrown
back.
Light particles move and vibrate all around his now limp body, holding it in
mid-air until they form an illuminated orb. As the orb rapidly expands, the
planet's surface begins to crumble in weak defense. Unable to endure the
strain, the planet explodes into billions of fragmented pieces.
Minutes later, only one distant star is left among the sheer darkness of empty
space. Inside this small star floats Morphix. He slowly straightens his
re-energized body and lifts his head revealing glowing red eyes. Morphix's
transformation is now complete.
On a tattered rope bridge, a large electrified opening emerges out of empty
space. Hissing and crackling with unknown energy, the void emits an object at
intense speed onto the bridge. This discharged mass bounces once on the wooden
deck and flies through the rotted restraining ropes. Suddenly, the mass takes
form and a small, female hand is seen grasping at the rope to avoid plummeting
to the rocky bottom that lies below.
Niiki hangs from the rope for a moment before flipping herself back onto the
deck of the bridge. In one energetic move, Niiki is safely returned to the
bridge with the Core Prime Element dangling from a pouch at her side. Her
relief is apparent as she smiles at her triumph.
With Lord Demon Demitron lying dead at her feet, Scarlet steals the prized
reward from his limp hand. In the distance, behind Scarlet's crouching body, a
mechanical foot steps softly on the desert sand. Sonork centers his view on
Scarlet's back and raises his badly injured, fabricated rifle arm in her
direction. As he creeps closer to Scarlet, his severely damaged body becomes
more apparent.
Within moments, he stands in range of Scarlet's kneeling body and casts his
deadly shadow on her back. Scarlet tilts her head slightly and springs to her
feet. Sonork blasts his rifle arm directly into his enemy's face with all his
remaining strength.
Scarlet lunges at her enemy with the murderous Dragon Saber gripped tightly.
Sonork stands motionless in front of his intended victim before blood begins to
squirt out of his body. Scarlet watches with a contented smile as Sonork's head
falls off his erect and shaking body. Her assailant terminated, Scarlet walks
away from the mutilated corpse with the Core Prime Element in hand.

With the demise of the Lord Demon, Sonork now has two invaluable pieces of the
Master Key in his possession. Sonork raises Demitron's head close to his
simulated eye-scope for examination and gloats at his new treasure. Satisfied,
he picks up the Core Prime Element and places it near the decapitated head in
an act of defiant curiosity.
As the distance narrows between them, each begins to glow with a mild white
light. Moments later, an intense beam is shot through the air creating a
whirlpool black hole in the atmosphere. This cosmic vacuum sucks both pieces
into its remote depths. As Sonork reaches cautiously for his lost spoils, he
too is yanked inside the spinning electrified mass.
Neither the pieces nor Sonork reappear, only the dry planet remains untouched.
The enigma that surrounds Zenmuron begins to unveil after he has the Core Prime
Element in his possession. While little is known regarding his past, it is now
apparent that Zenmuron desired and fought for the invaluable piece solely to
keep it from the evil powers that exist. Positioning the Core Prime Element
upright in a rock, he draws his sword, centers his aim and strikes it with all
his strength.
The invaluable piece immediately reacts to the blow and explodes in Zenmuron's
masked face. He falls to his knees in pain, as his mask turns to a cloud of
smoke.
When the smoke dissipates, the destroyed mask reveals his deformed and
distinctly evil face.
His efforts to keep this piece of the Master Key from evil forces becomes
nothing more than a vile irony. Pivoting on his knees, Zenmuron turns and
displays two glowing eyes and a horrific grin. He is last seen grasping at the
ground beneath him and laughing fiercely at the sky.
[When you play on the easy setting, the game ends when your character beats
Sonork. Every character receives the following message.]
As Sonork lay defeated before you, the Core Prime Element is finally within
your grasp. Suddenly, a forboding force bathed in a blinding light wrenches
your prize away from you.
Play difficulty levels normal or hard to win back what was once yours.
