==={ STORY }===
(taken straight from the game's intro)
"You have been chosen to represent Earth in Mortal Kombat. Be
warned, for although your souls are safe from Shao Kahn's evil,
your lives are not. I can no longer interfere as your Earth is
now rules by the Outworld Gods..."
"These are the words of Rayden"
"For centuries Earth has used Mortal Kombat to defend itself
against the Outworld's emperor, Shao Kahn. But Kahn grows
frustrated by failed attempts at taking Earth through tournament
battle. He enacts a plan which began 10,000 years ago."
"During this time, Shao Kahn had a queen. Her name was Sindel,
and her young death was unexpected. Kahn's shadow priests, led
by Shang Tsung, make it so Sindel's spirit would someday be
reborn: not on the Outworld, but on the Earth realm itself.
This unholy act gives Shao Kahn the power to step through the
dimensional gates and reclaim his queen thus enabling him to
finally seize the Earth realm."
"Upon branching the portal into Earth, Shao Kahn slowly transform
the planet into a part of the Outworld itself. Kahn strips the
Earth of all human life: claiming every soul as his own. But
there are souls which Kahn cannot take. These souls belong to
the warriors chosen to represent Earth in a new Mortal Kombat."
"The remaining humans are scattered throughout the planet. Shao
Kahn sends an army of fierce Outworld warriors to find and
eliminate them."
"After the first tournament, Sonya Blade turned up missing. Jax
then embarked on a rescue mission into the Outworld. He found
Sonya being held with her nemesis Kano. In freeing Sonya, Jax
also frees Kano. Kano then uses the chance to escape arrest."
"The Ultimate Advancement in Lin Kuei technology comes with the
creation of the firt cyber assassins. They begin converting their
human ninjas into souless machines. But Sub-Zero refuses to take
part and is marked for death by his own clan."
"After winning the first Mortal Kombat and escaping from the
Outworld, Liu Kang looks to the future. He begins training a
new generation of Shaolin alongside Kung Lao. But nothing
could prepare them for the unexpected Outworld invasion."

==={ FINISHING MOVES }===
The most unique feature of any Mortal Kombat game is the finshing moves which
could be perform to finish off your opponent or do other things to your
opponent after winning a match. Remember that at the end of a winning match,
once you make your final blow to your opponen's life bar, they will fall then
immedaitely get dizzy with Shao Kahn shouting the key words, "Finish Him/Her!"
During this time you will only had a few quick seconds to complete a finishing
command in able to make it work.
Fatalities:
These can only be done after Shao Kahn shout, "Finish Him/Her!" in the winning
round and in the correct distance on the screen.
Pit Fatality:
These can only be perform at Scorpion's Lair, the Subway, the Bell Tower, and
the Pit 3 stage. To knocked opponent off you must be near your opponent after
Shao Kahn shout, "Finish Him/Her!" in the winning round.
Animality:
These can be done after performing a Mercy! in the third winning round after
Shao Kahn shout, "Finish Him/Her!" After that, beat the opponent once more and
this time input the Animality on the correct distance. It should work. (This
finishing move is not available on the Super NES and Sega Genesis versions of
Ultimate MK3).
Friendship:
These can be perform almost anywhere on the screen after Shao Kahn shout,
"Finish Him/Her!" in the winning round provided you never use Block during that
round.
Babality:
Unlike Friendship, these can be perform anywhere on the screen after Shao Kahn
shout, "Finish Him/Her!" in the winning round provided you never use Block
during that round.
Brutality:
Unlike all finishing moves above, Brutality is a finishing combo in which player
must perform by doing a button sequence simply by pressing a series of attack.
It could only be done after Shao Kahn shout, "Finish Him/Her!" in the winning
round. (This finishing move is only exclusive to the Super NES and Sega Genesis
versions of Ultimate MK3).
Mercy:
To give mercy to your opponent, you must beat your opponent on the third winning
round (your opponent must win at least one round before this), and after Shao
Kahn shout "Finish Him/Her!, immediately hold down the Run button while standing
at a far distance from your opponent, from there quickly press Down on the
joystick about three or four times then release Run. You should hear Shao Kahn
say the name of your character and remind you that you had just give mercy to
your opponent. Giving Mercy to an opponent allowed him or her to resume fight
with very little health. After you beat your opponent the second time; however,
you would be allow to perform Animality or any finishing manuvers you desire.
(Mercy could not be perform in the Sega Genesis version of Ultimate MK3).
Note:
You will only get five seconds to perform a finishing moves (two seconds in the
Sega Genesis version), if after your seconds are up and you couldn't get the
command to work, your dizzy opponent will get spare and fall instantly down to
the ground clean. If you do get the finishing move to work, the screen will turn
dark and an action of the finishing manuver will take place. Of all the
finishing moves mention above, the pit fatality is the only finisher that
doesn't turn the screen dark since it serve more as a knocked out move instead.
==={ DISTANCES }===
When performing a finishing move you need to know the right distance required
for some of them, here are the ones most arcade players are familiar with...
Close:
Standing next to opponent, the same distance in which you could hit or combo
your opponent. This distance is used the most when performing a Pit fatality.
Sweep Distance:
About two feet away from opponent, it's the distance where you can't hit your
opponent but could still foot sweep them. An example of this is Liu Kang's
animality.
Outside Sweep:
About three to four feet away from opponent, the distance where you can jump
over your opponent to the opposite side as well as the distance where you can't
foot sweet your opponent. An example of this is Nightwolf's friendship.
Jump Distance:
The same distance where you can forward flip jump to get near your opponent but
not to the other side. An example of this is Scorpion's Toasty fatality.
Half Screen:
About one feet outside jump distance. You should still not be near your opponent
if you make a forward flip jump at this distance. An example of this is Sonya's
Purple Bubble fatality.
Far Away:
The distance as far away from the opponent as possible even outside of Half
Screen. For this distance, it would have to at least take you two forward flip
jumps to reach near your opponent. An example of this is Mileena's Nail Spit
fatality.
Anywhere:
Any of the above distances. This applies to babality the most as they could be
perform near or away from opponent.

summaries about them instead.

Besides being a Pit Fatality level, you could also knocked your opponent to
Kahn's Kave from here.
Kahn's Kave:
A dark arena cave with the MK dragon logo on the floor and the emperor in his
throne in the distance. This stage was based on the final battle scene from
the Mortal Kombat live action film (without the spikes and shadow priests).

versions, all three hidden characters, Mileena, Ermac, and Classic Sub-Zero

level among the other four exclusives to Ultimate MK3.
The Subway:
An underground stage with subway tracks from one end to the other. You could

A street bridge level similar to the Street stage. Like the Street, you'll see
tons of flying litters, newspapers, and various wastes. A sunset landscape is

A dungeon level similar to Goro's Lair, while fighting here, you could cite
Noob's lair in the backdrop as well as various centaurian statues in opposite
corridors of the stage. In the arcade, Sega Saturn, and their many various
ports, you fight Motaro here. This stage was not found in the 16-bit versions.
If uppercut from the Soul Chamber stage, you'll resume the fight here. This
stage would also reset the Kombat Zone cycle back to the Bridge level and back
to the Soul Chamber before reaching the Bell Tower.
Bell Tower:
A bell tower build on top of a castle or building. A bright cite of the moon is
also seen and a staircase leading downward is also seen. You could also pit

means that the character on that box is a glitch Sheeva. She is playable but had
no special or finishing moves. Beware when using her though as she could crash
the game if not control properly.
- GLITCH STAGE -
(Sega Genesis version only):
Beat the game with any character. When the green flames is coming out of Shao

Note #1:
For some reason, the initiate button for Animality serve no purpose in this
game, it was useful in the original Super NES version of MK3 but Williams
forgot to revise it. It was intend to replace the Animality finisher with the
Brutality but they didn't had much time to do that. Because of that, a

distance for the fatality and press Down on the directionl pad. It should work.
Note #2:
The Animality finisher option for this game, like the Super NES version,
doesn't work and I don't know why Williams didn't replace this with the
Brutality. There are also no Brutality versus code for this version so if you
are going to perform a Brutality, you must do the button sequences. Also there
are no option to do a Pit Fatality so you must perform that with its move
sequence as well.
- SECRET CHEAT MENUS -
(( SEGA SATURN ))
Enter this code during the game's attract mode:
* Secret Cheat Menu == Press C, R, A, Z, Y, C, Y, R, A, X
You'll hear Shao Kahn laugh to confirm the code. Make sure you hear him laugh
twice. Then press START to access the Mode Select screen, while there, highlight
Kombat, hold Up and press START to access a secret cheat menu. The secret cheat
menu will allowed you to enable Mileena, Ermac, and/or Classic Sub-Zero without
entering the UKK codes as will as turning on Free Play for inifinite credits,
Infinite Fatality Time to allowed longer time to perform a finishing moves, as
well as 1 Round Match to fight for a single round only.
(( SUPER NES ))
Enter these codes at the main menu:
* Kool Stuff ========== Press Right, Up, B, B, A, Down, Up, B, Down, Up, B
* Kooler Stuff ======== Press Up, B, A, Left, Down, Y
* Scott's Stuff ======= Press B, A, Down, Down, Left, A, X, B, A, B, Y
* Sound Test ========== Press Left, Down, Y, Y
(( SEGA GENESIS ))
At the main menu, enter any one of these codes to access all of them:
* Cheats=============== Press A, C, Up, B, Up, B, A, Down
* Secret ============== Press B, A, Down, Left, A, Down, C, Right, Up, Down
* Killer Codes ======== Press C, Right, A, Left, A, Up, C, Right, A, Left, A, Up
Note:
For Sega Genesis, you are not required to enter all of them, if one of three
code is enter, all three cheat menus will appear simultaneously.
- PLAY AS HUMAN SMOKE -
(All versions)
To play as Human Smoke, choose cyborg Smoke, then hold the corresponding buttons
before any round begins...
* For Player One ====== Hold Left on Joystick + HP + HK + BL + RN
* For Player Two ====== Hold Right on Joystick + HP + HK + BL + RN
If done correctly, Smoke will explode and change into Human Smoke before the
round starts.
Note:
On the Sega Genesis version of Ultimate MK3, the code doesn't required the need
to hold the D-Pad. For the Game Boy Advance port, Human Smoke could only be
unlock by completing the Warrior tower at the "Choose Your Destiny" screen and
would only be available at the character select screen.
- PLAY AS NOOB SAIBOT AT THE ARCADE -
(only PLAYABLE on the WAVENET Ultimate MK3 machine)
To select Noob Saibot, you must start a two-player game, then choose Kano as
your character. Then before any round begins, press and hold HP + LP + BL + LK
and hold the Joystick away from your oponent. When the fight starts, Kano will
explode and change into Noob Saibot.
Note:
This is not the Kano version of Noob Saibot as it was in MK3. In this game, Noob
Saibot doesn't had any of his special and finishing moves as he did in the Super
NES and Sega Genesis versions.
- PLAY AS SHAO KAHN -
(Super NES, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy Advance versions)
To play as Shao Kahn, you must first enable the following cheats:
For the Super NES, you must first enable the Scott's Stuff (see cheat menus code
above) cheat menu, then access the menu and turn on the "Enable Shao Kahn"
option. Once he is enable, you could select him for play in a two-player game at
the character select screen.
For the Sega Genesis, you must first enable the Killer Codes (see cheat menus
code above) cheat menu, then access the menu and choose to "Enable Shao Kahn."
Once he is enable, you could select him for play in a two-player game at the
character select screen.
For the Game Boy Advance port, you must complete the Grand Master tower in one-
player mode. After completing that, Shao Kahn would be selectable at the
character select screen.
- PLAY AS MOTARO -
(Super NES, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy Advance versions)
To play as Motaro, you must first enable the following cheats:
For the Super NES, you must first enable the Kooler Stuff (see cheat menus code
above) cheat menu, then access the menu and turn on the "Enable Motaro" option.
Once he is enable, you could select him for play in a two-player game at the
character select screen.
For the Sega Genesis, you must first enable the Killer Codes (see cheat menus
code above) cheat menu, then access the menu and choose to "Enable Motaro." Once
he is enable, you could select him for play in a two-player game at the
character select screen.
For the Game Boy Advance port, you must complete the Master tower in one-player
mode. After completing that, Motaro would be selectable at the character select
screen.
Note:
On the Sega Genesis version of Ultimate MK3, the cheat won't allowed both Motaro
and Shao Kahn to be enable simultaneously so players are left with only one boss
available for play in a two-player game whereas the Super NES version allowed
both to be enable and available for play in a two-player game though only one
player could choose them on both versions.
- PLAY AS CHAMELEON -
(Super NES and Sega Genesis versions)
To play as Chameleon, an unfinished palette swap secret character in Ultimate
MK3, you must access the following codes using a cheat device:
(For Super NES):
Enter Pro Action Replay Codes
For Player One:
* 7E36D019
* 7E52C819
For Player Two:
* 7E389419
* 7E52CA19
Note #1:
Unlike the Sega Genesis version of Chameleon, the Super NES version had Rain's
name in the health bar, but had Scorpion's color palette, appearances, and
combos and is non-glitchy. Like the Sega Genesis version, he lack special and
finishing moves.
(For Sega Genesis):
Enter Game Genie Codes
* BMTA-AWBA to enter the center dragon box from the left side at the
character selection screen.
Then enter
* DHST-AAG6 to access Chameleon in that dragon box.
Note #2:
Unlike the Super NES version of Chameleon, the Sega Genesis version had his name
fully printed on his health bar and had Kano's picture at the vs. screen and is
very glitchy at times. Like the Super NES version, he had all of Scorpion's
appearances, vs. screen palette, and combos but lack special and finishing
moves.
Note #3:
Chameleon doesn't had any official storyline, ending nor could he be found or
unlock in-games. He could be played only through a cheat device and no other.

Question:
* Who's Chameleon?
Answer:
* He's an unfinished palette swap ninja character similar to Scorpion in the
Super

the
use of a cheat device such as a Pro Action Replay or a Game Genie. Since he's
just a scrap character, he could only perform basic attacks, a few combos
borrow
from other ninja characters, and no finishing moves besides the mercy sequence
in the Super NES version.
