II. Updates
1-11-04 (Final): After four years of sitting and collecting dust, I finally
finished the last revision to this guide. I fixed a massive amount of spelling
and grammar errors, took out the FAQs and the Review sections, and made it so
the guide is easier to read. I also combined the Codes and Game Genie sections.
This is the last update. Have Fun!
10-11-00 (v2.0): I got some FAQs in, and I fixed some errors.
10-10-00 (v1.3): I got the Codes, and the Game Genie codes section done. I am
getting started on the FAQs section too. It might be the last update, but I'm
not sure though.
10-9-00 (v1.0): Pretty much getting the layout and format done. I'll try to get
done with most of the sections tonight. And I'll start out on the walkthrough
soon (maybe tonight, depends). I'll start out on the walkthrough when I get new
Batteries for my Nomad.

III. Story to the Game
During a rainy day, an explosion is heard.
Ren wanders into Stimpy's room to see that Stimpy's new invention, the
Mutate-o-Matic, has exploded and scattered everywhere around the city. Stimpy
cries for Ren to help him find all the missing parts. Ren agrees to help is
long-time pal.

IV. Walkthrough
Remember that you can use a variety of different combinations with the
directional pad and the buttons to use clever moves that make it tons easier to
go through the game or defeat enemies.
Level 1, The Neighborhood
It is important to remember to keep a keen eye out for any projectiles that are
launched at you during the level-- pay attention and remember to grab any
health you can. Remember to shoot your special projectile at any lawn mowers
before jumping over the cracks.
In the house, you will be inside the kitchen. Press C to jump up on the counter
and DOWN + C to jump off of it when dodging all the green slime. At the end,
jump on the counter if you're not on it all ready and jump into the freezer.
Inside the fridge, make your way up. You can press UP + C to jump extra high.
But remember not be carried away; there are enemies all over the platforms.
Then go down, sliding and avoiding the enemies. Make your way back up by using
the same technique that you used the last platform you went up.
When you get to the top of the last platform, slide down and you will be in a
big box with a giant Walrus flopping around. It's a bit difficult to dodge the
beast, but when you have enough room, go over the spot that says "Go Here" and
switch to Ren (if you are not him already) and press DOWN + A to start the
Jackhammer move. You may have to stop to dodge the Walrus a few times (they do
a lot of damage). When you get through, there will be another walrus and
another place to jackhammer. When you go down into the last one, grab the
invention piece (the beaver thing) and jackhammer your war out of the level.
=
Level 2, The Zoo
This level is tough and long, so I'd suggest going through with a couple of
practice runs. From where you start, go forward and into the Hippo cages.
Remember that falling in the water causes you to fall back, starting the
obstacle all over again. The gap in between the small hippos can usually be
cleared with a normal jump, but when you need to jump the big gaps, press DOWN
+ A to jump further.
This is an extremely tough part. When you want just about a foot close to the
Giraffe, they turn into snarling beasts and lunge at you. It is extremely had
to get through this obstacle without getting hurt, but this is the most
efficient way of doing it that I know of: When you come to the two giraffe
(there is always two in a group, RUN by press FORWARD + A and stop when you're
in between them. After they stop lunging and go back to normal, run again.
Repeat this process until you reach the monkey house.
Inside the monkey house, there are two enemies. The big monkeys cannot be
killed, but you can stun them and make them stop throwing banana peels at you
for a few seconds by normally attacking them. The smaller monkeys can be killed
by projectiles (B, UP + B, etc.). When you reach the last house, jump up on the
top log platform and into the birdcage (might take a few tries). This leads you
into the Aviary.
I think this is the best part of the game. When you keep walking, Ren and
Stimpy will find a pump and blow themselves up. From there, use the directional
buttons to point them a certain way and press any button to make them fart,
making them move in that direction.
Remember to dodge the birds and thorns in this level. Not only do they cause
you to lose a lot of health, but they also cause you to go out of control. But
if you keep gathering all the health items then this level will not be that
hard.
When you get to the end, towards the top, there are a few health items and in
the corner, boxed in by two thorn bushes, is the next invention piece. There is
only a little opening to get it. Make sure that if you touch the thorns, you
don't go completely out of control and just get killed by getting hit into the
other thorn bush.
Once you have the invention piece, make yourself to the right and off the
screen. This completes the level.
=
Level 3, The City
In the city, there are tons of things to watch out for and to remember. The
mailboxes that spit mail at you cannot be killed or stunned, so just duck when
a piece of mail is thrown at you. The fireman shoot water at you that cause a
lot of damage, so hit him three times with your projectile to kill him off.
While you can maneuver around the city by jumping on the fire hydrants, I
prefer just pressing UP + C to jump high. Also, rolling logs on the building
cannot be killed, so watch out for those.
Despite what it may look like, the path is really straightforward. When you get
to the top of the buildings, there are birds up there that crap on you. Press
up + B to throw your projectile up and kill them (just simply running past them
usually is not a good idea). When you get to where the construction beams are,
make your way all the way to the top right so you're looking out onto no
platforms. Then, just press A to jump extra far, you'll end on a ledge on a
building. Press it again and you'll fall to the ground next to the fireman.
Dispose of the fireman and jump on the fire hydrant to get yourself onto the
next ledge.
You'll end up going up (avoiding the logs and the drips of water) and up on top
of the building again (it look a lot like the beginning of the stage. Fall to
the ground, take out the fireman, dodge the mailbox projectiles, and continue
onto the next screen.
The next part is a really fun and exciting part of the game (also has some
pretty cool music ;)) but it also is a bit tough to. You'll end up on a bike,
being chased by the Dog Catcher. Press A to peddle and press C to jump. I
suggest being slightly in front of the Dog Catcher so you can see any oncoming
cars and jump over them.
Soon, you will end up falling down hill. Forget peddling, JUMP! Look at the
bottom of the screen, and when you see a pothole, JUMP. Don't bother grabbing
all the items for they will just get you killed. At the bottom is the invention
piece, the thingy gauge, and the end of the level.
=
Level 4, The Pound
There are a few things to watch out for in this level. Watch the ceiling and
look for any small spaces; when you walk in front of them a block will come out
and crush you. So walk below them, causing them to come down, and quickly turn
around to avoid the crash. Also watch out for dogs (can be killed in one shot)
and dogcatcher men (three shots will kill these guys). When you come to big
gaps over a crevice or lava, simply press A to long jump.
When you come to a spot that has to you jack hammering, press DOWN + A to break
through. You'll quickly end up falling down a crevice. Grab the sporadic items
that show up and jump over the spikes that also show here and there.
When you get to the bottom, continues forward, killing anything that moves, and
grab onto the pipe. Make your way up and watch out for the drips that come out
of it, they hurt AND cause you to fall.
UP + C your way up the platforms until you come to a series of swinging spiked
cannonballs. Timing and ducking is the key here. When you get t the top,
continue forward and you'll come to a place to jack hammer, but an anvil also
crushes it. Jack hammer it and occasionally pull out of there before the anvil
drops. When you break through you will face the boss battle.
This is pretty easy. Press UP + C when the wrestler is about to pounce on and
you to maneuver out of his trajectory. Stay in the ring for one minute doing
this and the invention piece (the TV) will drop down.
=
Level 5... The Outdoors
This stage is fairly. Just stay on the teeth avoiding the nerve endings and
keep your projectiles going and kill the flying pests. When you get to a forest
of trees with eyes on the branches, watch out for falling drips but also don't
walk on the part of the ground with an eye in it. Use the fingers to flick up
to health items. Continue onward.
Go up the long hairs to find a variety of platforms. Jump across them and fall
down to the ground. You'll end up on a weird hover bike thing. Press any button
to move it. On the ground are mouths that spit various health items up at you.
The key here is to grab the items while they are falling, not when they are
shot out (otherwise they'll just hurt you). The end mouth, instead of spewing a
health item, has the invention piece. Grab it and continue forward to end the
level.
=
Level 6, Inside the Invention
This stage is hard if you are impatient. Take your time.
The first thing that will happen to you is that you will be sucked through the
nose of a beaver and into a jar of snot. There are bubbles that travel up the
jar and to the top (where the opening is). Jump on the bubbles, but make sure
you don't stay on one for too long. Otherwise, it will pop and you will fall
back down.
Once you are at the top of the jar, jump onto that blue ball thing next to the
platform. From there, just JUMP DOWN AND DON'T STOP. YES, you WILL be
electrocuted a few times, but it's incredibly hard going from platform to
platform (and even then you'll get shocked).
You'll drop down and land on a beaver. Next to it are two cupcakes, which take
turns being lit on fire. Jump to the middle when the one closest to you is not
aflame and then bypass the second one when that one is put out.
From there, go up. Jump on the Christmas light when it is not lit. Some parts
you must UP + C to get up (which is tough because your stupid AI friend will
always get caught on another light).
Get to the top and jump down, landing on the things that blow out the candles.
Blow the candles out and jump down. Keep on doing it until you get to a room
with four switches. The strategy here is to get all four switched down and not
get electrocuted. If you leave switches down for too long, they'll just go back
up, so be quick about it.
Once you get all the switches down, the level ends. You beat the game.
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU DID SO WELL, REN AND STIMPY WILL DO THE
HAPPY-HAPPY-JOY-JOY SONG AND DANCE FOR YOU!!!
