Hey all, and welcome to my game script for Shaq Fu. This script's purpose is to
chronicle the cutscenes and plot of this wonderful game, Shaq Fu. I hope you
enjoy it, and have as much fun using it as I did writing it. Some notes:
1) I will include both the pre-match, post-victory, and post-defeat dialouge.
2) Everything between ******* denotes a cutscene or action.

3. Backstory
============

Long ago and far away, in a place called The Second World, there ruled the
heartless sorcerer Sett Ra. His hunger for power still gnawed at him even
though his dominance over the Second World was unchallenged; he longed to
extend his grasp to the fair First World, Earth.
Sett Ra's Plan was simple. He would destroy the Pharaoh of Egypt and usurp his
throne. He created a perfect assassin from his own shadow who would serve him
without question. This shadow became beast, the mightiest and most loyal of all
Sett Ra's minions. Beast destroyed the Pharaoh, and the disgused Sett Ra soon
sat upon his throne.
However, the Pharaoh son Ahmet was not deceived. He brazenly confronted the
powerful sorcerer, threatening to reveal him. Sett Ra escaped from the palace
to the Great Desert, where his grandfather, Leotsu the Wise, dwelt as a monk
and hermit. Leotsu and Ahmet united with a coven of powerful wizards from the
lands beyond Egypt, and their combined power was able to send Sett Ra back to
the Second World, comatose and imprisoned withn a rune-encrusted pyramid. He
slumbered for a millennium, bound by the wrappings of a mummy. Beast roamed the
Second World, dedicated to finding and releasing his dread master. Successful
at last, Beast and Sett Ra vow to wreak havoc on those who stopped them before.
They have gathered a battalion of formidable fighters to further this end.
To regain his full strength and to end his exile from the First World, Sett Ra
must perform an ancient ritual upon a descendant of Ahmet. Beast has now
returned from Earth with the child Nezu, a child in whose veins the royal blood
runs pure. All is ready for the final cataclysmic battle-only the Chosen One
can stop Sett Ra now. One who possesses strength, spirituality, courage,
agility, intelligence, and unsurpassed skill in the martial arts. Where will
the world find such a one? Only Shaq knows.

Shaq: It's downtown Tokyo and I'm checkin' out the local sights on the day of
my all star charity game when...

Shaq stops in front of a small building

Shaq: ... I stumbled upon a small Kung Fu dojo with an old man inside...

Shaq enters the dojo. We see a small old man, with white hair and a long white
beard. Various kung fu/ninja related equipment decorate the dojo.

Old Man: Greetings big warrior. You are the one from the stars, I presume? I
thought I'd never live to see the day!
Shaq: I'm an all star if that's what you mean? We have a game tonight... Would
you like to come? It's going to be quite a battle even though it's for charity.
Old Man: Oh no, young warrior, I'm too old to be fighting! But I wish you
well... You must hurry now if you are to save the little boy, Nezu. That is, if
you really are the magic one?
Shaq: I'm not sure what you mean? I'm just sightseeing before my game. What are
you talking about?

The old man pulls back a green curtain, revealing a mysterious wooden door.
***************************************************************************
Old Man: No time to explain! Go through this portal - find Nezu- and save him
before it's too late.

Shaq is teleported to the second world.

Shaq: Where is Sett Ra? Your magic can't hurt me, girlfriend.
Voodoo: My magic has never lost a match and I'm not your girlfriend!

Voodoo (If Shaq loses): My magic is better than your magic.
Vooodo (If Shaq wins): I should turn you into a little frog but since you won
honorably, I will let you pass!

Nezu! But look out - Sett hypnotized him and he will try to defeat you!

Shaq: Tell me where the boy, Nezu, is before I beat it out of you.
Mephis: Yeah right, I'll whisper it in your ear after I slap you silly!

Mephis (If Shaq loses): I've beat real fighters twice your size.
Mephis (If Shaq wins): Your courage is praiseworthy! Beware the Beast, he is as
lethal as he is ugly!

Shaq: Be careful, prince, you might hurt yourself with those swords.
Rajah: My swords will make you think twice about that comment.
Post-Battle

Rajah (If Shaq loses): You should retire early, buddy!
Rajah (If Shaq wins): You may have gotten past my swords but the Colonel will
teach you a lesson, fool.

Diesel: We'll see who has the last laugh!

After defeating the first 6 fighters, a cutscene plays. We see a red creature
known as Beast resurrecting a skeleton

Text: Somewhere in the Second World, Beast brings his skeleton soldiers to
life.
Shaq now has access to the second island.

Shaq: What's up with the plastic headgear, bra?
Colonel: My bionic equipment will overpower you!
Post-Battle

Colonel (If Shaq loses): A great offense is the best defense!
Colonel (If Shaq wins): You were lucky! But you will need more than luck to
challenge Sett.

Shaq: What's up, cat woman? Can you tell me about the little boy, Nezu?
Kaori: My name is Kaori and I'm gonna do some serious damage to your body!

Kaori (If Shaq loses): I'm the baddest cat around here. Don't come back!
Kaori (If Shaq wins): At last! I am freed from Sett Ra's mind control ring.
Nezu is being held on Tombstone Island but you must get by Sett Ra's loyal army
first.

Nezu: There is no Nezu anymore, I will fight you to the finish!

face him while he is still weak...
The bridge to the third island is now open.

Shaq: You are one ugly creature! Who are you?
Beast: I am Beast, Sett Ra's greatest servant. I will beat you senseless!

Beast (If Shaq loses): I'm the Beast... You can't defeat me, wimp!
Beast (If Shaq wins): I will travel through time to fight you again some day!
Sett Ra will not let you take the boy. You will never succeed!

We see the cover of Sett Ra's tomb rise into the air, revealing the mummy
underneath.

Sett: I am Sett Ra, you should have never come this far. After I beat you...

Sett (If Shaq wins): You are a man of great power, but mark my words... I'll be
back!

Shaq returns through the portal back to the dojo with Nezu.

Nezu: Thanks Shaq! You just saved my life.

Later, at the basketball game...

Shaq: (To his teammates) Sorry I'm late, boys! Let's just say I had to fight
some traffic to get here.

Shaq sees Beast, holding a basketball.

Shaq: Oh no... Not you again!! I hope you play hoops better than you can fight,
Beast.

5. Game Secrets
===============
- Blood Code:
Enter the following at the options screen
A-B-C-C-B-A
Then when you fight, the fighters will bleed
- Fight with Blue Beast
Go to the "Gargoyle's Peak" location. You should see a small set of stairs.
Head down these to the door, and press Start. A bonus fight, albeit with no
dialogue or any plot effects, will happen against a blue version of Beast.
