INTRODUCTION: Pink Panther goes to Hollywood is an old Super Nintendo
game that few people know about any more. It isn't "Great", but it can
be enjoyable. And every game needs some sort of FAQ. I was shocked to see
that this game did not have any for it.  I had this game a long time ago,
back in the day, and Me and My Brotha' used to  play it all the time. You
could say it has a lot of memories for Me. ((I have no idea why I'm telling
you this.))   Recently, I became re-united with the game, and it would only
be right if I made up for the lack of FAQ's for it. So here it is.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
VERSION HISTORY:
1: Made the original parts of the FAQ on October 29th, 2002.
-
2: Added Pink beard and the extra parts after that in the walk through
a few days ago, added the secrets section and thank you's, and sent them
all in on November 5th, 2002. Yes, on GameFAQS Birthday. Happy Birthday,
GameFAQS. **Sniff**
-
3: I fixed an in-correct secret I had. The real reason I made this update,
was because the FAQ was cut off because I sent it through email, without
zipping, and it was bad on the text, you could say. So I fixed this, and
sent the FAQ through online to avoid all the other confusion. Almost forgot,
the date is November 9th 2002.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
LEGAL INFORMATION: This FAQ was made by Me, and only Me. I have gathered, and
am gathering this information by playing this game on My own, and
experementing.  This is for personal use only. Do NOT put this FAQ on a disc,
in a magazine, or try to make money off of it in any way. If you would like
this FAQ on your site, you MUST  ask Me first. ((Via email, of course.))
It is LIKELY, ((Not for sure,)) that I will agree, but I must be asked, and
if I do agree, I must have full credit. That is all.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO PLAY: Pink Panther goes to Hollywood is a side-scrolling platforming
game, in which you control the Pink Panther. You ARE the Pink Panther, the
Pink Panther is you. The game all takes place, in a movie-ish, Hollywood
theme.  The "Over world" is a level called, "Honey I shrunk the pink," which
is a huge house, with big rats. This over world is the hub for all the
level's, which are usually hidden.  A little twist in this game are token
boxes.  As you go through the level's, you collect tokens. Each token does
a different thing.  For an example, get the stair-case token, and put it
in a token box to make a stair case. You need these to progress in the
level's, and they are also used a lot in the over world, to get to the
level's.  You can complete the starting level's in any ordor you want, but
you must beat them all to go to the final's, and hopefully complete
the game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE CONTROLS:
B button = Jump
A button = Spray paint attack
Y button = Hold to run
X button = Use tokens in token box, and use tricks
L-R = Change between tokens
Start = Pause
Select = Change tricks

And, obviously, the control pad moves. If you couldn't figure that out, you
may need help. Running is something you HAVE to learn right off the bat. Not
that it's hard to learn, though.  Pink Panther is a very bad jumper.. 'Less
you do running-jumps.  Also, in your trick bag and token bag, use L-R to
change tokens, then press X on the one you want. The selected token will
be flashing. To use tricks, press select. Keep pressing it to go through
your trick items, then, use X on the one you want.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOKENS: Here are some of the tokens you will find.

UMBRELLA token:  No!! it's umbrella corperation. Use this token in a token
box, and you will float like a butter-fly, way up in the air. Just make sure
you press the "Jump" button on the place you want to get off at.

STAIR CASE token: This token will make a stair case in the direction that
the arrow points on the token. You can then walk up it.. Or fall down it.

HOOK token: I have found this to be more of a danger, but it might be useful
for something. It picks you, then goes up and down.. Up and down.. Up and
down.. And there seems to be no way to get off. Finally, it dunks you into
the floor, ((Yes, INTO it,)) killing you.

BRIDGE token: This token  will make a bridge in the direction of the arrow
on the token. Great for crossing large gaps.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
TRICKS: Tricks are speciel items. Usually weapons against the many enemies'
you may find. Here is a list of one's I have seen so far.

FLY SWATTER: It goes off on it's own, swatting anything in it's path, 'till
it falls.
-
STOP LIGHT: It seems to stop the enemy in front of it from all reactions,
but it disappears fast.
-
HAMMER: Just like the fly swatter, but moves a little slower.
-
BOWLING BALL: Rolls fastly, knocking all enemies' out of the way.
-
DOG: What a great idea!  Use the dog as a weapon!  It's just like the
fly swatter.
-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE OVER WORLD: And so the great adventure starts. After doing the  options,
and all that good stuff, start the game!  You will start out in the hub,
"Honey I shrunk the pink," a huge house. I will now guide you to the closest
level for now.  The minute the game starts, get ready to jump over, or shoot
the rat right in front of you, then jump up and grab the bridge token. Next,
walk right some untill you see a very big chair. Jump on it's horizontal
ledge. A rat will come into site on the chair. Jump on to the next ledge,
then on the chair it's self, and shoot the rat fast. Now, take a running
jump to the ledge of the table in site, to the left, with the token box.
Get ready to jump on top of the rat that will come after you. It's up to you
if you want to grab the umbrella token. You don't have to.  Now, make sure
the bridge token is the one highlighted, and stick it in the token box.
Walk across the bridge, and get bellow the window's ledge. Jump high, and
you will land on it. Ignore Clueso's ugly mug staring at you, and take a
RUNNING jump to the left, landing on the book shelf ledge. You will see
two books with names, "Jungle pink," and "Pinkin Hood."  Walk up to the
Pinkin hood book, and press up on the control pad to enter the level. Next,
I will try to explain one of the more confusing level's in the least
confusing manner possible.
============================================================================
PINKIN HOOD!: You will now be in Sherwood forest.. Avoid the nuts them
annoying chipmunk's throw, and don't stay under them.  Go right untill you
see the trampoline, and then jump on it. Press the jump button right when
you land on the trampoline to bounce up to the tree limb above. Go right
and shoot the rodent  for the fun of it. Then go left and grab the hat.
Take a running jump to the left, and make sure you land on the rodent's head,
to kill him. Grab the trick, and jump up once to the limb above. Jump up
again, to the long limb, and watch out for falling nuts. Keep going up-right
up-right on the limbs, as if you we're going up stairs. When you reach
the rodent, kill him. Then go up-right the limbs a few more times, and look
to the left. You should see a bridge token in mid-air.  Take a running
jump to grab it, and land hopefully on the  limb bellow.  At the top of
the tree, go to the right most limb and shoot the rodent, then jump up
to grab a hat.  Now make your way down the tree, always staying to the right.
When you get near the bottom, there will be a limb with a token box, under
a limb. Just drop off the limb above to get to it. Above it, or near it,
you will see a stair case token in mid-air. Run jump to grab, then get back
down to the token box and use it to make a stair case of leafes. Now we're
getting some where. Near the top of the stair case, Large eagles fly
by here and there, make sure you duck, they will grab you and fly you
to the left, making you search for the token box again. The stair case
will still be there, though. Now climb the stairs, go to the tree limb,
and jump to the next, and another, you will see a rodent, kill it. Be
fast, the eagles will be coming. Run and jump to a ledge of ground you will
find. Then run and jump to a castle tower, and kill the guard. If he comes
back up, go to the left of him, and keep shooting him. Then jump down, and
edge the wall the whole way down, 'till you land on another guard. Go to the
left of him, and keep shooting him 'till he dies. Now take a running jump
to the left, and land on the ground, now that you killed the guard's, the
draw bridge will be down. Enter it.  Whoo hoo! You beat the level! Usually,
however, you didn't kill ALL the guard's, and you will have to make your
way back up to the tower, and try to kill them again. To get back up to
the towers, go to the bottom ground, near the draw bridge, and go left,
and pick up the stair case token. Around this area will be a tree
stump with a safe-zone star on it, and a token box near it. Stick the
stair case token in the token box, and climb it, and then jump on the
stump. Go into the star and  complete the bonus level. When you come back,
the star will be gone, and you can do a RUNNING jump to the tree branch
in front of you, and re-do your steps back to the towers.
============================================================================
OVERWORLD: Back out in the over world, you should start out in front of
the  book you entered.  If not, just work your way back up to it like you
did before. Now grab the umbrella token right by the book, and jump down
to the ledge bellow, with the token box. The rat will be there again, so
be prepared. Now go up to the token box, and stick in the umbrella token.
You will float away.  When you float above the book ledge, you will see
a ledge above it, with a cave-looking thing. Press the jump button, and
hold left to get off the umbrella and jump over to the ledge. Now just
walk past the "Cave," and you will automatically enter.
===========================================================================
CAT ON A HOT PINK ROOF: Now let's just hope this level is easier then
Pinkin Hood. Why do I not know, you ask? It's been a while, and I'm
playing while I'm writing. So let us see. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. You
will start out on the top of a building, on a hot summer night. Well, I
have no idea if it's summer, to be honest.  Now go to the right, duck
down, and shoot the cat. Go past the defeated cat, and you will see
a trampoline. ((Aw no, not another..))  This next part is going to be
tricky, but you must learn how to do this NOW. NOW!!!  You must do a
running trampoline bounce. Walk to the left some to give your self some
room, and start running like a mad bull. Jump, land in the middle of the
trampoline, hit the jump button right on impact, like before, and you
should fly like a birdie, keep holding right, collect the tokens in the
air, and land on the next building. You must try to do this fast, Cleuso
will charge at you in a plane from time to time, and throw boxes at you.
Just duck, or jump over him if you can.  Now, there will be another
cat in front of you.  Shoot him fast before he jumps at you. Now go to
the right some.  The building will drop off to a lower part of the
building, just walk off to it, it's no big deal. About this time,
Cleuso will probably be back, so be careful. You will hear the sound of
an air-plane moter when he is near.  There are MANY ways to go in this
level, I will list the best route to take. Keep walking right, and ignore
the see-saw. Go to the token box at the end of the building, and put in
the BRIDGE token, cross the bridge, kill the cat, and kill the spring
from a safe distance. Now jump up, and run and jump to the higher
building. Keep walking right untill you see a huge building,  and a
spring. Jump on the spring, and press "Jump" right when you land on his
head. You will FLY way up in the air, landing most likely on a cloud,
that has lightning enemies'. Here is the trick here: Don't stick around.
Run like MAD jumping every enemy in site, and keep running, this is the
best way to beat this level, but it still may take a few tries. When you
get lucky, you will run right to a building with another trampoline. Just
use it to jump to the exit. FINALLY!
============================================================================
OVERWORLD: You will appear right outside the area that you used to get
to the level you just beat. Take a running jump to the top of the window,
to land there. Go to the right, and take a running blind jump off of
the top of the window. You will most likely land on top of a bottled
ship. Go down, and enter the bottle, and walk past the ship. You will
automatically enter the next level.....
============================================================================
PINK BEARD:  Ok, this level has less of the franitc running, but requires
you to take things more easy. Hopefully it will be easier then the last
two nightmares.  You will start off under-water, while Pink Panther trys
to hold his breath. ((Don't worry, you can't drown.))  Now keep going
right, but don't swim; there are too many squids here.  Pretty soon, you
will run into some under-water cliffs / canyons and such. If a squid goes
over you, try to duck, and just hope he don't hit you. The boat will
be sinking down, and floating up in this underwater canyon area, and
if you are caught when it's going down, you will be crushed, so be
careful.  Now, once you reach the right end of the boat, there will
be a bunch of shark's. Try to swim over them, and land on there head
to kill them. Wait at the surface of the water on this side, and after
a little while, an anchor will come make sure your over it when it
goes back up, so it will take you up near the top of the ship.  Let it
take you as far as  it will go, and jump in the opening you see in the
boat to the left, and kill the crab. Then grab the UMBRELLA token and
the hat.  Ok, now here is the hard part... Making your way back.
Hopefully, you have killed most of the shark's, and at least one of the
squid's. Make your back, to the left side. When you get back to where
you started, wait till the squid's go off to the right, and then swim,
as left-most as possible, and move over to the robe hanging from the
boat. Push up on it to climb it, and then jump into the opening. You
are now in the boat.  You will see a trick on a ledge above where you
entered. Take a running jump to it, and try your best to get it. Walk
some to the right now, and you will see oars coming out of windows in
the boat. These oars will go up and down, and you will loose life if
you touch them. Wait untill they retreat fully to there window, and
then RUN under them. There some crab's here and there in here, usually
near the oars, just shoot them.  After passing the second oar, you will
see a token box.  Insert the UMBRELLA token. Keep floating, and you
will finally land in area with a bunch of boxes, right above an area
with a ton of T.N.T. from Ac/Dc.   Go to the left, untill you reach
the end of the boat, and see a diving board with  another UMBRELLA token
which is out of reach.  Ok, use the diving board. Just stand on it, face
right, jump, hit jump on impact, and hold right. You should bounce to
the top of the boat. Be careful, pirate's roam around here. If you want,
now would be a good time to use your trick, which was a bowling ball. Walk
some to the right, and you will see a large gap. You can cross it, even
though it doesn't look like it. Take a RUNNING jump across, but be
careful, there is a pirate on the other side, get ready to shoot him,
or jump on him, the minute you land. Now jump off the right-most edge, and
go down the stairs. Shoot the crap, and the pirate, and jump up to grab
the rope to your right. This is the easy part. Just keep climbing up
the mast, shooting the crab's and pirate's you see. This part is all
about timing. After climbing a few levels, you will see a rope that goes
off the screen. Climb it to the end to beat the level.  There is also
a way to get an extra life in this level, although it isn't very easy.
In the first part of the boat, with all the oars, keep going right, past
the token box. At the far right, you will see a stair case, climb them.
You will also find an extra hat here.  Kill the pirate, and go to the
gap. With the ceiling being so low, this is VERY hard, but can  be done.
Take a running jump, and hope you get lucky. If you cross it, keep going,
and you will find an extra life.
=============================================================================
OVERWORLD: Ok, now starting back at the bottled ship, drop down to the
floor, way back down to the floor. When your back on the floor, keep
going right untill you see a dresser. Keep jumping on the ledges of
the dresser, untill you are on the top. Kill the rat, and take a running
jump to the right ledge, where a cowboy boot sits. Walk past the boot
to automatically enter the level.
=============================================================================
PINK RANGER:  You will start out in an old western town. Get ready to shoot
the boots coming at you. Keep walking right, and then you will see more
boots coming at you. Shoot them, too. Walk right some more, and you will see
a token box, and the edge of the building top. Walk off to the edge, but
start holding left when you drop, there is a pit almost right under you.
There will also be a boot near there.. You know what to do to them by now. You
will see another token box here, and a gap too far apart to run and jump
across, so start walking to the left. More boots will come by, ((How many
of these are in this place?!)) shoot them. Keep walking left. You will reach
the end, where you will see a door, and a BRIDGE token. Grab the token. Now
go in front of the door, and press "Up." Suddenly, the screen will start
moving so fast, you might get dizzy and smash your head into the television
by mistake. Well, perhaps not.  After the voyage, which takes place
automatically, you will appear in front of another door, on the top floor
of another building. Walk some to the right, to the edge of the building.
You will see cow's floating in the air.... Don't ask. I didn't make the game,
I have no idea why cow's are part of the back-ground. Now walk off the
edge, and watch out for the tumble weed. Keep walking right, and you will
soon reach a gap, with a mine cart rail slanting down to the right of it.
Jump on the rail, and run up it, At the top when the rail evens out, and
starts to go out into a mine shaft, you will find a mine cart. Don't jump
in it. Keep running on your own down the rails. About half way through,
the mine cart will fly by.. Be sure to jump. Soon, you will reach the
edge of the rail, with no other edge in site... Don't worry. You can make
the jump. Get some room, and take a RUNNING jump blindly out into the air.
If you did it right, you will land on piece of ground and rails bellow, still
in the mines. Go right some. Another mine cart will fly by, faster this time,
jump quick. Go right some more. Keep going, and you will reach another gap.
Run and jump this one just like the other one, and you will see a mine-cart
on the edge you land on. Don't get in this one, either. If you land in it by
mistake, jump out early. Keep going right, usually near the area that
the rail ramps down a little bit, a mine cart will come, so be careful. Soon
after some more endless walking to the right, you will reach ANOTHER gap.
Give your self some room, run up the ramp that slants up, and jump again.
Another mine cart will be standing here, ignore it as well. Keep walking,
and by now, your probably already paranoid that every few steps you take,
a mine cart will try to run you over, it's a good thing to be paranoid about
this, because these thoughts are true. Be ready to jump when they come by.
When you come to another famous gap, run and jump. You will land down on
some more rails. Walk right some more. Keep walking, avoid some more mine
cart's, and you will finally exit the mine shaft.. The sun... So bright..
Walk right some more.  Your not done with them mine cart's yet: a few
last one's will fly by, so be prepared. When you reach another gap, take a
controlled running jump. What is that, you ask? A running jump that is less
insane, and more controlled, in other words, get ready to use the control
pad to aim your jump. Your going to have to land on a floating cow. They are
pretty big, luckily, so you shouldn't have too much of a problem. You don't
need to do a running jump to get to the next cow. Just walk towards it, and
do a normal jump near the end of the cow you are on, and hold right, to land
just perfectly on the next cow. The cow you are standing on, and the next
cow you need to get to has too much of a gap between the two, so you will
have to do another controlled running jump. You will see another cow to the
right of this one, which also requires a controlled running jump. And another,
needing a controlled running jump.. And more, and more, and more, and more.
There are so many cow's you will think it may never end... Just keep using
the same tactics to pass this bridge of cow's.  Finally, when your on the
final cow, you will see another town to the right, with some more annoying
boots. Jump to it, and make sure to kill the boots. THIS IS IT!!
Walk to the end of the screen, and complete the level!!
==============================================================================
OVERWORLD: Back in the over world, you have beat all the level's there are
to beat here for now.. That's why you have to find another over world. Move
left, and get back on the top of the dresser, and shoot the rat. Walk to
the left end of the dresser, and take a running jump towards the fridge,
hopefully landing on the ledge bellow the ice cube door, or whatever you call
it. When you do land on it, press "Up" to enter the fridge...
==============================================================================
OVER WORLD 2: --COMING NEXT UPDATE--
Yeah, I still didn't get to update what I wanted. From now on, I will not
make no more promises of what I will probably have next update. Things always
come up, and I'll just have to do this little by little. BUT I PROMISE TO
UPDATE IT ALL IN AN HOUR! Oops, that was stupid.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECRETS: Yes, here is the secrets section. I'm sorry if I made a mistake
on any of these.. If I did, you know what to do: contact Me!
-
YOUR'LL FLOAT: This is a little trick that Me and My Brother found while
playing around, back when the game was new. We took it as little more then
a glitch, but it appeared in a Nintendo Power magazine later on. I'm not
saying we we're the FIRST to find it, but probably one of the first few.
Hook up a second controller, and hold the B button on the second controller,
as long as the B button is held, you can use the control pad on the first
controller to float around the level, getting a better look at it, and even
floating through enemies'!
-
STAGE SKIP: This one is simple enough: Hold start to pause, and press select
to skip to the next level.
-
SECRET TOKEN?: There is a secret token in the back stage "Continue" area,
behind the exit door, but when you pass a door, you automatically enter it.
I remember getting it back in the day, but I can't remember the trick to this
one.. Anyone who can help Me out on this, please Me email Me.
-
((That's it for now. Look for more within the next few update's, hopefully.))

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
THANK YOU'S:  Here is the thank you's section!
-
I would like to thank God, first of all.
--
I would like to thank Me, My self, and I. Perhaps that IS pretty egotistical,
but... But..
--
I would like to thank CJayC, after all, he DID make the famous GameFAQS,
and I thank him for posting this, My first accepted FAQ.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CONTACTING ME: If you would like to praise My work, or let Me know I am on
the right track with this FAQ, or if you would like to ask a question that
is not already answered in this FAQ, ((But not a question about something
that will be updated later,)) let Me know nicely if I did something
wrong in this FAQ, or give suggestions on things to add/take away to make
it better, and send things in that you know, that I have not covered,
((Not things that will be in later update's,)) if you want to include
