I. Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phantasy Star may very well be considered the most under-rated RPG series of
all time.  This is primarily because a lot of people never got to play the
games, due to the facts that they were made by Sega, and the fact that each
of them cost quite a pretty penny at the time (averaging around $80 per game,
give or take a few dollars). So it's really no wonder why people never got
to play these great games.

Phantasy Star is the beginning of this series. The story goes that King
Lassic, ruler of the Algol Star System, was once a good king, but he was
getting old and didn't want to die. He heard of a religious cult that promised
him immortality if he joined them, which he did.  Once he joined, he became
evil and started to terrorize all of Algol.

The story begins when Nero, a resistance member against Evil King Lassic, was
killed by Lassic's Robotcops. Alis, his little sister, sees this and swears to
avenge his death. Before dying, Nero tells Alis to find Odin, a man of great
strength. Taking his Short Sword, Alis sets forth on her adventure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. Characters
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alis:

Angered at the evil King Lassic, Alis sets out to avenge her brother's death.
Alis is Phantasy Star's main character. This young girl's beautiful looks are
quite deceiving, as she is a great fighter. Though she starts out weak, given
the right equipment and the proper experience, Alis will be your best fighter.

Lv 12 - Fire
Lv 14 - Rope
Lv 16 - Fly

Myau:

Myau is the cute Musk Cat of the game. Cute as she is, she, like Alis, can be
deadly.  Myau will start out very weak and useless, as she has no weapons or
armor. After a while though, Myau's usefulness raises a bit, and towards the
end of the game, Myau will be mainly used as a Healer.  Equipped with a good
weapon, Myau will deal a lot of damage.

Odin:

Odin is the man of great strength that Nero tells Alis to find.  When you
first find him, he is turned to stone. When you change him back, he will join
the party. Odin is strong, providing you give him the right weapons and armor.
He has the weakest Attack and Defense in the game, believe it or not. If you
wanna keep him alive, give him the best armor you can afford, because he will
need it. Odin will have one job... attack. Odin cannot use magic.

Stats: Lvls 1-30
HP: 42-192
MP: 0-0
ATK: 13-47
DEF: 13-74

Noah

The Governor of Motavia sends you on a mission to find this man. Noah is a
great wizard. His magic is by far the best in the game. His attack and defense
power alone is even greater than Alis', but his best weapon only boosts his
attack by 10, so Noah will not make a good attacker. Save his magic for when
you fight big monsters that are hard to knock down.

III. Walkthrough
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: This walkthrough is quite detailed and will explain just about everything
you need to do. Feel free to go beyond the walkthrough and do other things if
you wish.

The walkthrough will include self made maps.  It can be a bit hard to read,
but here is a legend for you all to use:

Map Legend:
#       Dungeon Floor (walkable)
E       Entrance
T       Treasure
D       Door
L       Locked Door
M       Magic Locked Door
O       Trap
X       Trap Landing (follow coordinants)
B       Boss
R       Room
!       Special Event
~       Hidden Passage (looks like a wall, but isn't)
1-9     Stairs
a-z     Stairs (notice the lowercase)

Also, every map will have a location system. Letters are on top, while a 2
digit number is on the side. When finding your location, go across until you
find the letter, then go down to find the number. It's that simple!

I also can't stress enough to SAVE SAVE SAVE!! Save outside a dungeon before
going in, never inside unless you have the Flute.

With that in mind, if you feel confident you know how to play the game, then
we shall begin. Enjoy the game.

Camineet:

After watching the intro scene, you will gain control of Alis. The very first
thing you'll want to do is enter the Warehouse just to the right of Alis'
house. This is the Camineet Warehouse.

Treasures:
50 Meseta (A,06)
Dungeon Key (A,01)

Take your time to get used to the first person view of the dungeon system in
Phantasy Star. There are no monsters here, so you can take all the time you
want. All you can do right now is get the 50 Meseta in the treasure chest.
Once you have everything all set, exit back to town.

Now that you're back in Camineet, head to the blue house in the upper left-hand
corner of town. Inside will be a friend of Alis' named Nekise. He won't do
much, but he will give you the Laconian Pot.

Now take the money you have and go to the Armory. Buy Alis a Leather Shield (I
know, it's not much, but it's something). Equip her with it.

The last place to check out in Camineet is the house to the
right of the shops. This is Suelo's house. Here is where you can
rest for free, restoring both HP and MP completely. This will save
you a lot of money.

When you are ready, save up and head outside.

Palma:

There isn't a whole lot you can do right now.  Walk outside the walls just a
bit and fight the Sworms. If you fight Scorpions, run! Handle one Sworm at a
time right now until you level up or unless you are at full HP. Two Sworms at
this level might just kill you. Also, do NOT enter any forests, especially the
one inside the walls. The Owl Bears will crush you.

When you run low on HP, head back to Camineet and rest up at Suelo's. Save,
then head back and fight some more.

Things may go slow for a while. Just fight Sworms and build up about 65 Meseta
so that you can buy an Iron Sword in Parolit.

Parolit is the town directly southwest of Camineet and still inside the walls.

Parolit:

There really is nothing in Parolit, but this is the only place for the time
being that sells Swords. Buy an Iron Sword at the Armory. Save the Short Sword
for now.

Some people may be tempted to use the Hospital in town. If you are one of
them, slowly back away from the television. Why waste the hard earned Meseta
on a Hospital if you can get healing for free at Suelo's?

Anyway, once you have the Iron Sword, save and head back outside.

Palma:

Now that you have a better weapon, Sworms will be very easy to defeat. You
might also be strong enough by now to fight those pesky Scorpions.

Continue fighting, resting, and saving until Alis reaches Level 4. By then
she will know the Heal spell. This will help you stay out longer and make less
trips to bug Suelo.

Build up around 600 Meseta this way. Head back to Parolit.

Parolit:

Buy a Titanium Sword, sell the Iron Sword.

Palma:

Now you have an even stronger sword. Scorpions will go down in a jiffy, much
like a bunch of other monsters so far.

Now you want to upgrade Alis' armor. To do that, head east from the wall until
you reach a port town. This is Scion.

Scion:

Not much to see in Scion. Right now you want to buy a Light Suit in the
Armory. Buy it, and sell the Leather Armor. Leave Scion.

Palma:

You can fight around Scion if you want, I don't recommend it right now. Stay
away from the nearby cave and beach and head back to Camineet.

Camineet:

First thing you wanna do is buy a Flash. You're gonna need it in a minute.
Rest and save and head back outside.

Palma:

Head south of the wall to the small cave there. This is Medusa's Cave.

Treasures:
Compass (F,01)
10 Meseta (L,05)
20 Meseta (I,12)
Odin (C,12)

It will be pitch black inside once you step in. Solution? Use the Flash you
bought. Remember though, once you exit, the cave will be dark again.

The monsters here should be really easy for Alis to take care of with her
Titanium Sword. This is a good chance to build up some levels. I usually have
Alis around Level 8 by the time I leave this cave.

Anyway, the only thing in here to do is to grab the Treasures (you can't get
the Compass yet) and take a look at Odin  (C,12). You will find that he is
turned to stone. Hmmmm. There must be a way to turn him back. Well, of course
there is!

After you're done playing around in this cave, exit and rest up in Camineet
again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b. Lifting the Curse
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Palma:

Now it's time to do a little money making. Of course, in this game, the only
way to make money is to fight... or sell stuff. Anyway, fight Owl Bears for
some decent money right about now. I'd save up about 1000 Meseta. You'll see
why in a bit.

Once you have the 1000 Meseta, head to Scion.

Scion:

Now it's time to pay a visit to the 2nd Hand Store. The Shopkeeper will sell
Secrets for 200 Meseta. Try to buy it, and he will kick you out of the store.
How rude! Try again and pester him for the Secrets again. Again, he'll throw
you out. Well, third time's a charm. Go in and demand the Secrets and he'll
crack down and give you the Roadpass. So that's what the Secrets were. Now you
can access the Roads near Camineet.

Head to Camineet.

Camineet:

Rest up, save, yadda yadda yadda. Now, go to the guards standing by the west
road. With the Roadpass, they will let you through to the Spaceport.

Palma Spaceport:

Now what you want to do is go to the shop where there is a woman there. She
will ask you a few questions. Answer Yes, No, No, Yes, and you will spend 100
Meseta for a Passport. Now with that you can fly on the Spaceship.

Go to the guards, who will ask if you have your Passport. Of course you do.
Say yes and they will let you through. Board one of the Spaceships (doesn't
matter which one) and take the offer to fly to Paseo on Motavia.

Motavia Spaceport:

Nothing to do here. Just go to the guards and take the road to Paseo.

Paseo:

Enter the right-most shop and talk to the guy in there. He will tell you that
he has a strange animal and will give it to you for *puts pinkie to mouth* One
million Meseta! Laugh at that offer, as you'll never make THAT much money in
this game. He then asks if you will trade the Laconian Pot for it. Well, you
don't need the pot for a while, so give it to him and he will give you the
animal.

The animal is Myau, a musk cat. She says that she has the item that can change
Odin back to himself, but the problem is, with her paws, she cannot remove the
lid on the bottle. Myau joins your party and you receive the Alsulin.

Before leaving Paseo, head to the Armory and buy Myau a Thick Fur. This will
be her only armor in the game, and it will really boost her defense.

Head back to the spaceport and fly back to Palma.

Palma Spaceport:

Head to Camineet.

Camineet:

Rest and save. Buy a Flash and head outside.

Palma:

Before you go back to Medusa's Cave, take some time to Level up Myau a bit.
You might notice by now that the number of monsters are increasing. Well, make
a note for that every character you have, monsters can come up to twice in
numbers, so it won't be uncommon for you to fight 4 Sworms now.

Level Myau up to Level 4. Rest and save and then head back to Medusa's Cave.

Medusa's Cave:

The thing you want to do is to find Odin again. Go to where you found him
before and use the Alsulin on him. Before your eyes, he will change from stone
to flesh. Odin's curse is removed!

Odin tells you his story, how he was turned to stone by Medusa looking for a
Mystical Axe, but after being turned to stone, Odin doesn't have much faith in
his abilities. Alis says that her brother died trying to stop Lassic, so Odin
agrees to join Alis, telling her about the Compass he stashed in this cave.

Turn around and head straight to the end, then turn right. At the end of the
hall should be a Compass. Grab it and get out of there.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c. I Want Cake!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Palma:

Save and rest up in Camineet. Once you have that, head south into the woods.
The Eppi Area is a dangerous area if you run into too many Skull-Ens or
Werebats. Werebats however are pretty weak, and do provide a LOT of money for
now.

Surrounded by the forest is the village of Eppi. Enter it.

Eppi:

There is an Armory in town. A lot of people buy Odin a Needle Gun. I say don't
bother with it, as it is too weak, even though it does hit every monster, it
can't even kill a Sworm. You could get a Bronze Shield if you want, but a
Leather Shield from Camineet would do as well.

Visit the Elder of the village in the north-most house. He will tell you the
location of the Dungeon Key. Guess what? It's in Camineet! Head back to
Camineet.

Camineet:

Enter the Warehouse and grab the Dungeon Key. And while you're here, if you
didn't buy Odin a Bronze Shield, get him a Leather Shield. Rest and save. Now
time to make some money again.

This time, you can do one of two things. You can go to the Eppi Area again and
fight Werebats, or you can head north to the beach.

Palma:

Any beach is where you can find Fishmen. Fishmen can be tough, and yes, they
do offer just a little bit less money then the easier Werebats, but if you
want to earn some experience, you can do it this way (even though Werebats do
offer the same experience). If you wonder why I'm suggesting this method, here
is my answer. I find that once people have the money they need, they don't
worry about leveling up and just buy what they need. By dropping less money,
the Fishmen make it better to gain experience if you are one of those people.
But, if you're not, by all means, fight the Werebats. If you do fight the
Fishmen, never fight more than 2 or 3 at a time, as it will just be too much.
Your goal right now is to get 2000 Meseta, and to Level up Odin to around
Level 4 or 5.

Once you have the money, buy Alis a Ceramic Sword from Parolit and give Odin
Alis' old Titanium Sword. Also, buy Alis a Zirconian Armor in Scion. Buy a
Flash with the leftover money, rest and Save.

Now, head north from Scion (the west side of the wall just north of it).
Follow up until you reach the Naula Cave.

Treasures:              Treasures:
10 Meseta (G,06)        Flash (C,01)
                       Shortcake (C,06)

Use the Flash to light up the place. The monsters here should be quite easy.
Tarantuals and Werebats may give you a hard time, but it's nothing to worry
about.

The first thing you'll do is come to a locked door. This is where the Dungeon
Key comes in handy. You need it to open the door, and any doors like this.

Anyway, if you're reading the maps, then just follow the numbers to the 4th
Basement an go to C,06. Enter the room and you'll see a man there selling
Shortcake for 2000 Meseta. He really doesn't charge you that much though, as
you only end up spending a little over 200 Meseta. Not bad, eh?

If you have a lot of HP left, this is a good chance to make some more money.
This time, I suggest around 3300 Meseta. If you find yourself running weak,
just exit and rest in Camineet, then fight Werebats or Fishmen in Palma.

Palma:

Once you've left the Naula Cave and gotten your money, buy Odin a Zirconian
Armor in Scion and sell his old rusted Iron Armor. Now head to Parolit and buy
Odin a Ceramic Sword, selling the Titanium Sword.

Also in Parolit, you'll want to buy yourself a Magic Lamp. This will save you
the hassle of having to buy Flashes over and over again. If you don't have the
money, get it! This item will be important.

Once you're ready, head to the Spaceport and fly to Paseo.

Motavia Spaceport:

Just go to Paseo.

Paseo:

Enter the tunnel in the middle of town. Unlock the door and give the guard the
Shortcake, which he will give as a gift to the Governor. Continue on until you
reach the other end of the tunnel.

Enter the Governor's Palace and he will give you a Letter to give to a man
named Noah (though the game messes up and calls Noah a she). He will then
suggest you rest up before heading out.

Boss: Saccubus
HP:   255

Some rest, you have to fight this beast. Lemme tell you this, don't bother
with this monster. You can try to fight it, but it is just gonna crush you
anyway. Don't waste anything on it, just let it kill you. If you do manage
to kill it, big deal. You don't get much for it.

After the battle ends, you will find it that it was just a nightmare. The
Governor will wish you luck and send you on your way.

Make note that the house right beside the Governor's Palace is a place where
you can rest for free, just like Suelo's house. Keep this in mind.

When you're ready, leave Paseo and enter Motavia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
d. Is it a man or woman?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motavia:

The thing to watch out for on Motavia are those brown hills with the red in
the middle. Those are Antlion hills. Don't step on them, else you'll have to
fight them, and trust me, they are not worth fighting.

The other monsters around here are not much harder then they were on Palma.
You may occasionally run into the N.Farmer,  E.Farmer, or Barbarian. If you
don't feel like fighting them, just talk to them. I usually talk to N.Farmers,
because E.Farmers and Barbarians are always worth good money.

Go around the Antlion Hills to the north of town and head east. Follow until
you reach your next destination, the Naharu Cave.

                       Noah (G,07)             Red Dragon (N,01)

Doesn't it feel good not to bother using a Flash anymore? Anyway, the Naharu
Cave is easy, but the monsters start to get a bit harder. Grab what treasures
you want on the first floor and head to the 2nd basement.

Before going too much further, take a right at the first fork you come to and
take the hidden passage labeled in the map. Go down the stairs.

The only thing to do here is grab the 2000 Meseta. You can fight the Red
Dragon if you wish, but right now that thing will most likely kill the 3 of
you. Head back to the 2nd basement.

Grab any of the treasures you want, but you wanna head to G,07. Unlock the
door and enter the room. Noah will be there. Alis will give Noah the letter.
Noah will then join the party. He will tell Alis something about a manhole in
the Palma Spaceport.

If you saved the Short Sword, give it to Noah for a slight attack boost. If
not, you'll have to buy him one in Paseo. Anyway, take this time to start
leveling up Noah. Level 6 is a good level to have him at. By then he learns
Exit, which can come in handy when you're lost. After you've had enough, head
out and go back to Paseo. Rest near the Governor's Palace and fly back to
Palma.

Palma Spaceport:

If you're looking for the manhole, it is at the lower left-hand corner of the
spaceport (it looks like a brownish circle). But before you do that, there is
something else you should do. Save and head out to Palma.

                       Iron Fang (G,12)

                       Boss:
                       Skeleton (G,12)

Another good place to level up and get some money, but you have to be careful,
as there are plenty of trap floors to get you lost very easily. The treasure
in here is good to get, so take your time through this cave.

Your main goal right now is to get to the 4th basement... even if you have to
fall down all the pitfalls. Head to G,12 and you'll fight some Skeletons.

Boss: Skeletons
HP:   53

They should be easy enough for you to handle without magic, but in case you do
have to use some, go ahead and have Noah use Fire.  Once they are all defeated,
you will receive the Iron Fang. Give it to Myau to really boost her attack
power. Now hopefully you can find your way out of the cave without having to
use Exit.

Palma:

Before going any further (again), I suggest Leveling up some more and gaining
more money. Fighting Fishmen should be real easy now with Myau's Iron Fang.
This is a good way to get some experience without getting a lot of money.

Fight Fishmen until you get about 5000 Meseta. This should get everybody close
or even past Level 15 (of course, Noah will be a couple of levels back). If
Noah knows Wind, then you should be fine.

Head to Camineet and rest up. Buy about 5 Burgers and head to the Spacesport.

Do not ask me why I provided a map for this. It's so simple that I could give

the other side to Gothic.

Gothic:

In this town you won't get a lot of talking done unless you have some Cola.
Don't worry about talking to the bums. Where you have to go next is really not
that far away. Exit and head to Palma.

Palma:

Head south along the right side of the mountain (if you go on the left side,
you'll be close to Medusa's Cave, and you're not quite ready for that. Head
south until you come to a clearing and keep going. There should be a group of
trees to your left and a building nearby. Enter that building.

Treasures:              Boss:
Dr. Luveno (H,08)       Skeleton (L,05)
Empty (F,01)

The first thing you'll see is a Robotcop asking for your Roadpass. Show it to
him and he'll let you by. The prison has no monsters except for the optional
"boss" of Skeletons in L,05. I won't even put a section on how to beat them,
but if you want some experience, go for it.

You are searching for Dr. Luveno. You can ask around all the jail cells if you
want, but he's in H,08 (near the skeletons). Talk to him and he will kick you
out. Here we go again. Enter the room again and talk to him again. Same
results. I wonder if this guy is any relation to the shopkeeper in Scion.
Talk one more time and he will agree to help you out. He says to meet him back
at his Laboratory in Gothic. Exit and head back to Gothic.

Gothic:

Dr. Luveno's lab is in the middle of town. Go to it and he will ask you to
fetch his assistant. His assistant is in the Gothic Passage.

Gothic Passage:

Take the path going right when you come to it and open the door. Talk to the
Assistant in there and he will leave and go back to Gothic. You should do the
same.

Gothic:

Go back to Dr. Luveno and he will now offer to build a spaceship for you for
the low, low cost of 1200 Meseta. Sounds fair. Give him the money and he will
start working on it. Enter his house, he'll tell you to be more patient. Enter
again, same results. Enter a 3rd time and the Spaceship will be complete (gee,
NASA could take some lessons from him, that was fast!)

HOWEVER! There is one catch (as always). It seems you can't fly it yourself,
so you need to find a robot named Hapsby who can fly it. Now where could it be?

Gothic:

Rest up in Camineet if you have to. Make SURE you have some Burgers though,
because the next trip is a long one. Head out to Palma.

Palma:

Your objective is to get to Bortevo, the Junk Town. To get there, you have to
go around the mountains to the south and cross the lava pit. My advice is to
stay out of the forests, as Serpents can be a pain at this time in the game.

When you reach the Lava pit, be very careful. Every step you take will cause
you to take damage. Check your HP every few steps to make sure you aren't
gonna have anybody killed. When you do cross the lava pit, save and heal, then
enter Bortevo.

Bortevo:

Another bum town. Don't give any colas, because that's what you have me for.
Right now, there is NOTHING to do in this town, so just exit and enter the
cave right next to town.

Empty (N,05)

This dungeon is not exactly the hardest to go through. Grab what treasures you
can grab and just make your way from N,14 to A,01 to get to Abion Island.

Palma:

From where you exit, head off to the right and enter the beach area. Be
very careful, as most of the time you will face those 8-legged freaks, and
I'm not talking about the Tarantuals. Octopuses can be tough to face, but you
shouldn't have any problem. Make your way around until you reach the town of
Loar.

Loar:

Unless someone is dead, do NOT use the Church. Rest up at the Hospital. There
is another gun for Odin here, but again, it's really not worth it. Buy Myau
the Silver Fang and sell the Iron Fang. Exit when you are ready, as there is
nothing else.

Palma:

From Loar, head up and left. Just follow around, staying in the forest and
out of the high grass (if you get on the high grass, Giants will start to
attack you). Just continue walking until you get over near Abion. Build up
some money around here. I suggest getting close to 6500 Meseta (you'll see
why in a minute). Enter Abion.

Abion:

There are a few things to do in this town. First off, go to the Armory and
buy the one and only shield suitable for a wizard's use, the Laser Shield. Give
that to Noah and watch his defense soar. The next thing you'll want to do is
go to the First Food Shop and by the Polymaterial. Just buy one and you'll be
all set.

Heal up at the Hospital. At the far left side of town is the Abion Warehouse.
You might want to check it out.

30 Meseta (C,04)        To Abion (A,14)
20 Meseta (F,12)        To Dr. Mad's House (N,01)

Don't worry about rushing through here, as there are no monsters. But then
again, there is very little treasure here, and it probably isn't worth it a
whole lot, but every little bit will help. Just make your way over to N,01 and
enter the house of Dr. Mad.

Dr. Mad will ask for your cat. Do NOT give it to him, as he will kill it and
attack you. Either way, he will attack, so it's much better with 4 people.

Boss: Dr. Mad
HP:   233

This guy is something like Frankenstien mixed with Spy vs. Spy. If you don't
believe me, just see the punching glove come from his chest. Dr. Mad can really
hurt you, but you should be at a good enough level (17 or above) to handle
him without much trouble. Have Noah use Wind, Alis use Fire, and Myau heal
when needed. When Dr. Mad falls, you will finally get back your Laconian Pot.

Head back to Abion and rest at the hospital. Now you are done here. Exit to
Palma.

Palma:

Work your way back to Loar. You can rest there if you want, but make your way
back to the Bortevo Tunnel and back to Bortevo.

Bortevo:

There is a house in the town with a blue door. This is where you have to go.
Enter the house and marvel at the pile of garbage there. Well, finding Hapsby
in that pile of junk is like finding a needle in a haystack, so use the
Polymaterial to melt that junk. Hapsby is made from Laconia and therefore
won't melt. You will then have Hapsby. Exit Bortevo.

Palma:

Head through the lava again and work your way back to Gothic.

Gothic:

Rest up at the Hospital and head over to see Dr. Luveno. Now everything is in
order. Sell your Passport (you won't be able to fly to Paseo anymore, so just
get the money). To get to the new Spaceship, go to the left and talk to the
guy blocking the path and he will let you through.

Go to the Spaceship and fly to Uzo on Motavia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
h. Take me to the Casba
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Uzo:

There are a couple of things to do in here. What you want to do is buy Alis a
Light Saber (and within minutes the Millennium Falcon will show up... well, not
really). After that, head to the upper-left most house and the guy inside will
talk about the Soothing Flute. Say No when he asks you about it and he will
tell you where it is; on the outskirts of Gothic. So fly back to Gothic.

Gothic:

The Flute is a very handy item to have in your inventory. It isn't that hard
to find either. Go to the lowest road in town and go left to the very end of
the road with a lone tree. Search it and you'll get the Flute.

Hopefully you've got a lot of money. 4000 Meseta is good to have right around
now. If you've been doing everything to the button, then you'll have plenty
of money. Fly to Skure on Dezoris and enter the tunnel.

Werebats should be easy enough. Take 4 steps in from where you start and turn
to face the right wall. Walk right through it and follow to a chest with
500 Meseta. Go back and continue through the tunnel to Skure.

Skure:

The biggest town in the game here is full of information. The best information
is probably that Lassic fears Laconia. Keep that in mind. Anyway, what you
want here is the Laser Gun for Odin. Yes, it's expensive, but it takes 20 HP
away from every enemy without missing. That's the only reason you're here right
now, as the Laser Gun can make this game a LOT easier. Head back through the
tunnel and fly to Uzo.

Uzo:

Rest up if you need it and exit Uzo.

Motavia:

You will notice that you're south of the Antlion hills that surrounded Paseo.
Well, at least you don't have to worry about them much longer. From Uzo, head
southwest a bit until you find a town surrounded by rocks and a lake. To the
south of that town is a cave. Enter that cave.

                                               Blue Dragon (M,01)

This tunnel is very straight-forward... except for the 3rd basement, which is
a bit more like a maze. When you do get to the 3rd basement for the first time,
you'll want to get a very important item from here... the Amber Eye. To do
that, make your way to M,01. Here you will face the Blue Dragon.

Boss: Blue Dragon
HP:   210

The Blue Dragon really isn't very hard to defeat, but being the strongest
dragon in the game, it can still put a hurting on you. Odin's Laser Gun will
help you out a lot. Have Noah use Wind and Alis use Fire and within no time,
the Blue Dragon will die, leaving you the Amber Eye. This is a VERY important
item to get, so you'd better get it right now.

Once you have the Amber Eye, go to E,03 in the 3rd basement and just follow
until you enter the town of Casba.

Casba:

The first thing you'll want to do now is rest up at the Hospital. The beating
you took in the tunnel's dragon will probably make you want to, and you've
still got a long journey to go.

Many people will tend to buy the Landrover that is in town. I don't
recommend this, as it is a waste of money just to go over Antlion hill. There
is one person in town who can give you information on something better. From
the Hospital, go left and enter the first time you come to. He will ask you
about the Hovercraft. Answer "Yes" and he will tell you that he bought one,
which broke, and he dumped it on Bortevo on Palma.

With this info, make your way out of the tunnel again and walk back to Uzo.

Uzo:

Fly to Gothic and exit the village.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i. Set Sail!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Palma:

I promise, this is the last time you're gonna give yourself a hot-foot. Make
your way over the lava and back to Bortevo.

Bortevo:

I also promise that this is the last time you will have to enter this junk
town. Enter the house closest to where you enter and search the pile of
junk in there. You will find the Hovercraft all broken, but it's nothing that
Hapsby can't fix, and he will. You will then receive the Hovercraft. Exit
the dump.

Palma:

Get near the water on the beach and use the Hovercraft. The party will embark
it and you will now be able to access water (and even lava without taking
damage).

From Bortevo, go west until you reach the beaches near the Iila Cave. From
there, go below the Iila cave and go south until you reach a town in the middle
of the water. Disembark the Hovercraft (you have to "use" it again) and enter
the town.

Drasgow:

There really isn't anything in this town, but the Warehouse does have something
you need. Enter it.

Treasures:
Gas Shield (N,04)

You might run into a couple of men during your trip in here, but there are no
monsters, so you can take your time (though there are no real treasures). You
want to make your way to N,04. In this room, a man will sell you a Gas Shield
for 1000 Meseta. Nobody can equip the Gas Shield, but you will need it. Shell
out the money and buy one, then exit the warehouse and the town.

Palma:

Now that you have the Gas Shield, you can do a couple more things on Motavia.
You have to make your way back to Gothic first. The quickest way there is to
go west and hug the beaches until you see Gothic on your left.

Gothic:

Just fly to Uzo and exit town to Motavia.

Motavia:

From Uzo, head west until you reach the mountains. Remember this area, as there
are a LOT of Sandworms here, which shell out a LOT of Meseta. Just keep this
area in mind then go north until you see a lake. Use the Hovercraft and sail
northwest a bit until you see a greenish mist. Disembark and enter that mist.

That mist is a poisonous gas, but with the Gas Shield, you will receive no
damage at all. Make your way to the middle of the gas to the village of Sopia.

Sopia:

I'm surprised the people of this town are still alive after. Someone must have
really pulled someone else's finger in order to receive this much gas. Anyway,
go to the left-most house in the middle row of houses to talk to the Elder of
town. He will ask for a donation of 400 Meseta to his town. Give it to him and
in exchange he will tell you the whereabouts of the shield Perseus used to slay
Medusa. The Shield is on an island in the middle of the lake. Exit town.

Motavia:

Head east from Sopia and get on the Hovercraft. Go to the lone island in the
middle of the lone lake with a lone Antlion hill on it. Directly below the
Antlion hill is a cactus. Search around that area and you should find the
Mirror Shield. Give the Shield to Odin, and trust me, he will have no other
shield in the game.

There is one thing left for you to do on Motavia. Head back to Sopia to heal
up first, then head directly south in the Hovercraft. Disembark and go south
until you reach a cave.

                                               Boss:
                                               Tarzimal (D,02)

Whatever you do, do NOT have Noah use ANY magic at all. You will see why in a
little bit.

The cave really isn't confusing, but the monsters can get a little tougher
in here. By now you will notice the great value of the Laser Gun. There are
a couple of places with false walls that contain a lot of Meseta. For example,
the false wall at G,09 will lead you to a locked door in which there is a
treasure chest behind with 3000 Meseta (on the first basement of course). On
the 3rd basement, there is a similar wall at D,10 that leads to a chest with
500 Meseta. On the same floor is another chest with 300 Meseta. This will help
you out in the long run.

The real reason you're here is to find Noah's master. On the 3rd basement,
there is a locked door at I,02. Save here and enter. Take a step or two and
Noah's master, Tarzimal, will show up and challenge Noah to a one-on-one fight.

Boss: Tarzimal
HP:   125

Hopefully you've leveled Noah up enough and have given him the Laser Shield,
else this fight will be pretty intense. If you had Noah use magic, it will be
even worse. Just have Noah keep using Wind on Tarzimal and then Fire when he
can't use Wind anymore. Don't let Noah's HP fall too low, as Tarzimal can use
Fire and kill Noah there. If that happens, use a Burger. Keep using magic and
if you even run out of that (though you shouldn't), just attack. When Tarzimal
runs out of HP, he will give up and give Noah the Frade Mantle, his best
armor. Give it to Noah and get out of there.

Motavia:

Now you got one thing left to do on Palma first. But before you do that,
remember the spot I told you to remember because of Sandworms? Well, go there
in the Hovercraft and fight the Sandworms there. They are very easy to kill
and they give a lot of money. Accumulate 15,000 Meseta one way or another.
Once you have it, get on the Hovercraft again and go east. You will be very
close to Paseo. Enter Paseo.

Paseo:

With the money you made, you'll want to buy the strongest armor Alis can get
in this game; the Diamond Armor. Get it for her, as you will soon need it.
If you want, you can rest up next to the Governor's Palace as well for free
(as my uncle always says, "If it's free, it's for me"). Exit town.

Motavia:

Go back to the lake and head back to Uzo. Fly back to Gothic and exit the
town.

Palma:

Believe it or not, you are done with Motavia for now, and you are almost done
with Palma. There is just one thing left to do. Embark the Hovercraft at the
river and head north. When you come to a beach to the north of you, go directly
west until you reach an island with a tower on it. This is the Forgotten Tower.
Enter it.

                       Boss:
                       Red Dragon (J,05)

Welcome to your first tower, and as you will learn, these towers can get VERY
confusing. There aren't a whole lot of treasures that are entirely worth
getting in this tower unless you want the money. Though there is one treasure
that you REALLY want to get, and that treasure is on the 5th Floor.

The easiest way to get to the top floor is to look at the maps that I have
provided thanks to the wonder of ASCII text! The only place that this tower
can get confusing is on the first floor. To take the correct path to the top
floor, take the stairs labeled "3" on the map. This will take you through the
right path to the top floor if you follow the map.

Once you're on the top floor, you will wind around a lot and unlock a whole lot
of doors. After you unlock the last door, you will find yourself face to face
with a Red Dragon!

Boss: Red Dragon
HP:   175

Though it is possible to talk to the Red Dragon, DON'T! If you do, you cannot
get the treasure that it drops. The Red Dragon really isn't that hard,
especially if you got the best armor you can get. Just nail the Red Dragon
with the best attacks you have and when he dies, he will drop some money and
the Laconian Sword! Give that powerful sword to Alis, as it is her best weapon.
Exit the tower when you are set.

Palma:

Now is another good time to look for some money. Stay on this planet now until
you have gotten around another 15,000 Meseta. The best way to do that here is
to fight Werebats, but at this level and with very strong equipment, I suggest
that you head towards the beaches north of Camineet and fight the Fishmen. They
will come in larger numbers and the Laser Gun alone could kill them all in 3
turns.

Once you have the money, rest in Camineet, go to Gothic. Before going any
further, make sure you have the Laconian Pot and the Amber Eye, else you will
be making an unwanted trip back to Palma and Motavia. Also, being around Level
20 or 21 will help the journey. Fly to Dezoris when you are ready.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
j. Where on Dezoris are we?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dezoris:

Enter the tunnel to Skure and make your way to the town itself.

Skure:

When you were here to buy the Laser Gun, you may have noticed a Wand and a
Glove. Now is the time to get them. Buy the Wand for Noah and the Glove for
Myau. Also, I highly suggest you buy a 2nd Wand to use as an item. This will
allow you to run freely from battle. Now before you head back out to Dezoris,
just make a note that the monsters outside are very strong, but are even
stronger in the forests. Just stay alive and you'll be all set.

Dezoris:

Now you can fully explore (well, not fully) this icy planet. From Skure, go
south until you reach a cave. Let me tell you that there are TONS of caves
on this planet that are nothing but tunnels to other parts of this world. This
won't be easy, but I think you're up for the challenge. Just remember though
that the monsters on this planet are tougher than what you are used to, so just
keep that in mind

When I said it wouldn't be easy, I didn't mean the tunnels themselves wouldn't
be easy. No, the tunnels are simple to get through and very easy to remember
even without a map once you've been through them. It's just getting through
this planet that is a pain in the butt. Grab the chest at A,06 with 100 Meseta

Well, you are finally at a place where you can rest. Heal at the Hospital and
visit the church (just so you can use Fly and end up back here instead of back
on Palma or Motavia).

Hopefully you have accumulated 12,000 Meseta by now with all the fights you've
been in. If you haven't, fight around outside a while until you do. When you
have it, buy an Ice Digger at the shop in town. Trust me, you WILL need this
item.

Once you are ready, head back to the tunnel and back to Dezoris' Altiplano

OK, there are nothing but Zombies in here and they are REALLY annoying.
Luckily, you are only here for the Laconian Armor. Make your way to I,09 and
turn around. You should see a door, but the space in front of you is a trap
which will take you to the basement. Have Myau use Trap to disarm it then you
can go through the door to receive the Laconian Armor. Give it to Odin, then
exit this dead house.

Dezoris:

Now that you have this armor, time to stay within the Plateau. You have one
more place to go before heading back to town. Embark the Ice Digger and head
south from the morgue. There is a wall of ice at the southwest part of this
plateau. Your Ice Digger can break through it. Go through it and there is a
cave towards the west side. Enter it.

You know, you could be just unfortunate enough to have to fight two of these

attacking it and it will die, leaving you with the Prism. You WILL need this

I recommend heading back to Twintown to heal up. Once you do that, head back

Don't be fooled by the many floors, this cave is very straightforward. Just
do NOT go left at the first fork you come to. If you do, you'll go through the
door and then through the floor... all the way to the bottom where the only
chest there is as trapped as the floors. Take a right and you can easily make
it to the bottom floor... just be prepared to go up and down a LOT of stairs
in the process. At the bottom floor is a locked door. Behind it is the
Laconian Shield. Give that to Alis. Now everybody will have their best
equipment except for Odin (unless you consider the Laconian Axe his best
equipment). Exit this cave.

Dezoris:

Now you have just a couple places left to go. You should have enough energy
to make a quick run to the Corona Tower. To get there, just go north to the
mountains and just follow them east to the tower.

Out of all of the towers in this game, this is by far the easiest. Though the
monsters are something to be desired. Make your way to the 2nd floor, then
you really have to be careful (that is unless you follow the map carefully).
There are plenty of trap floors here, so watch your step.

Make your way to the 4th floor and do a LOT of winding around until you get to
a locked door. Inside a Dezorian will trade you the Amber Eye for the Eclipse
Torch. Good trade off. Exit the tower.

Dezoris:

Make your way back through the 5th Dezoris Tunnel and to the Altiplano
Plateau. If you are too weak, rest at the Hospital in Twintown, but when you
are ready, make your way back to the 3rd Dezoris Tunnel (the one with all the
White Dragons). When you make it through, use the Ice Digger and go west to
the end. From there, go south through the ice walls and head to the lone tree
in the center. Use the Torch there and you will receive some Nuts of Laerma,
which will be placed inside the Laconian Pot.

Now you are completely done with Dezoris. Head back to Skure and fly Gothic.
You are now on the final stretch.

                       Medusa (G,06)

By now, money is not a problem, so the chests in here are probably not worth
getting. This is a huge tower, but it's really not that difficult to navigate.
The monsters here are very hard and you have to keep an eye out for them,
especially at higher levels. Note that you start on Floor 1 and note
Basement 1. Some people might confuse that.

Like with the Forgotten Tower, there is only one floor where you can get lost
in depending on which stairs you take, and that's the first. Take the stairs
labeled 2 and just follow the map that way up to the 6th floor, then take the
stairs labeled 9. This will lead you to the boss.

Boss: Medusa
HP:   200

If you don't have the mirror shield, you won't last too long. If you do,
Medusa is a push-over. Your equipment is strong enough, and your levels should
be around 22 or 23 by now. Just attack her with your best stuff, including
Noah's Wind, and Medusa will die, leaving the Laconian Axe. Hold onto that
axe, but don't equip it on Odin yet. Exit the Tower.

Palma:

Head to Camineet.

Camineet:

Rest up at Suelo's house here. Before you go any further, make sure you have
the following items: Roadpass, Dungeon Key, Magic Lamp, Flute, Hovercraft,
Laconian Pot, Nuts, Aero Prism, Wand, and a Transer. Transers are easily
bought for very cheap, and it will come in handy. If you have all those items,
stock up on Burgers completely and head outside.

Palma:

There is a tower to the north of Scion. Though this is really not a tower,
enter it anyway.

You have to open the door by magic. Have Noah use Open to open this door. Now,
no monsters here and this is very straightforward... unless you happen to mess
up. When you meet the Robotcop at the end, he will ask for your Roadpass. Do
NOT give it to him, else he will throw you in the dungeon. Say No and you will
fight him.

Boss: Robotcop
HP:   110

Easiest... boss... ever.  Don't use magic, just nail him with your weapons and
he should fall easier than Wile E. Coyote from a canyon (gotta love the
Looney Tunes). Just continue after you defeat him.

Just go northeast and enter the tunnel.

Treasures:              Treasures:
Burger (A,01)(L,10)     Crystal (F,12)
Empty (A,04)(I,14)

OK, can you see why this is such a crazy tower? No wonder my father and uncle
used to stay up all hours of the night playing this game and calling the Sega
Hotline. Well, too bad I was only about 3 years old when they played this game.

Anyway, there are 2 things you must do in this tower before you can go to the
Air Castle; you have to get the Crystal and the Miracle Key. The Crystal is
pretty easy to get. Give Odin the Laconian Axe whenever you are in this tower.
Have Noah use Open to get in.

Remember, you start on Floor 1, not Basement 1. On Floor 1, just take the
stairs labeled 1 and follow until you reach a locked door. Unlock it and you
have to answer the questions of Damor the Soothsayer. Answer Yes, Yes, Yes, No,
and No and he will give you the Crystal, which you NEED in order to defeat
Lassic.

Now exit and enter the tower again. Have Noah cast Open to get in. What you
are going after this time is the Miracle Key, which will open these magic
doors without magic. From the first floor, go to the stairs labeled 2, then to
the stairs labeled a, then c. The Miracle Key is on the 2nd Floor at A,01.
Once you have this, I recommend getting out and resting back up at Camineet,
then to return here and use NO magic, but to use the Miracle Key. Also, use
Burgers when you need to heal.

Anyway, after you've rested up, go back to where you got the Miracle Key.
From there, go to the stairs labeled f, g, i, j, k, n, p, q, y, s, and then
u. Yes, I know it is long and confusing, but just follow the map to the letter
and you should be at the top floor.

At the top floor, after you turn the 2nd corner, have Myau use Trap, because
there is a trap floor there. After that, just follow the path given to you
until you find the stairs outside.

At the top, use the Aero Prism. This will reveal the Air Castle. Now just to
get to it. Use the Nuts and Myau will grow wings and fly you to the Air
Castle... but now without some trouble.

Boss: Gold Dragon
HP:   170

This boss is a pain in the neck. He will intercept your attempt to try to get
into the Air Castle. He's not too bad, but what makes him annoying is that he
can cast Cure on himself and heal his HP completely. Just nail him with
everything you have without using magic and the Gold Dragon will soon die.

Air Castle Town:

Don't bother visiting any of the houses here. Just follow the road to the
mansion in the middle. This is Lassic's Air Castle.

Boss:                                                           Boss:
Lassic (J,14)                                                   Shadow (A,08)

This level will throw the strongest monsters at you. Don't be afraid to use
the Wand to run if you have to. Your goal is to get to Lassic.

There is only one real path given to you, so just follow it as straight as you
can. When you reach the 5th floor, save before you open the locked door.
Behind the locked door is Lassic's Shadow!

Boss: Shadow
HP:   165

This thing looks like Dr. Mad, but is nowhere near as powerful. Just hammer
him with your best attacks, but refrain from using any magic. Once he is dead,
you can continue your mission.

Once you're back on the first floor, make your way to the Magic Door. Heal with
Burgers, give Odin the Laser Gun, Save, then use the Miracle Key to open the
door.

Once inside, you will see Lassic. Finally! No matter what you answer to his
question, he will attack you.

Boss: Lassic
HP:   238

Lassic uses one attack and it's a deadly one. He will cast Thun on every turn,
which can really put a hurting on your characters. If you don't have the
Crystal, then chances are, you're dead. Lassic is strong, but he's not too
tough. Have Alis use Fire and attack, Myau attack and use Cure when needed,
Odin attack, and Noah use Wind then Fire. Before long, Lassic will finally die.
About time! Anyway, you are instructed to go see the Governor of Motavia.
Leave the Air Castle and head back to Camineet.

Camineet:

Rest up at Suelo's and stock up on Burgers again. Head to Gothic and fly to
Uzo. Exit Uzo.

Motavia:

Head west to the lake and embark the Hovercraft. Go east and enter Paseo.

Paseo:

Enter the Governor's Tunnel and exit the other side. Rest at the house beside
of the palace and save. Then, enter the palace. You will notice that the
Governor is gone, then you are sent into the Palace Dungeon.

                                               Boss:
                                               Dark Falz (M,11)

Don't use any magic here. Use the Wand to run from battles, as you probably
don't want to fight much more. Just make your way through the Palace,
unlocking any door that might come in your way. Fall down the pits you come
to.

When you reach the 3rd floor, it will just seem like you're going in a circle.
At G,10, if you turn towards one of the walls, there will be a hidden door
there. Enter it and follow to the Magic Door. Save and heal with Burgers, then
use the Miracle Key. Make sure Odin has the Laser Gun.

Boss: Dark Falz
HP:   510

This is NOT an easy fight to fight. Dark Falz for the first half of the battle
will attack twice. All I can say is that you'd better hope he attacks Alis,
as she will have the best defense against him.

Have Alis use Fire, then attack. Myau should attack for the first round then
use Cure for whoever needs it. Odin should attack with the Laser Gun (hey, if
you can last about 25 rounds against him, he will die by the Laser Gun alone,
but like that will ever happen). Noah should use Wind then Fire. Once Myau
runs out of MP, have her attack the rest of the way. Use Burgers when she runs
out of MP for whoever needs healing. At this point though, you'll just say the
heck with it and just fight to the death. In any case, after a LONG fight,
Dark Falz will die... but don't fret, he will return in 1000 years like he
always does.

That ends this game. There is a plot twist as the Governor awakens, but I'll
leave you to see that. I hope you enjoyed this game, I know I have!
