ii) How to Play / FAQ

Bibles Adventures has three fun games a player can enjoy. Let us ignore for a
moment that in all three the controls are exactly the same, and the gameplay
virtually identical, and focus on how they are different.

Noah's Ark is the first game, it is also the hardest. In Noah's Ark, the
player has control of Noah and must save pairs of animals from the flood which
God will present to the earth. Noah can carry many animals at a time, which is
useful as otherwise the game may very well take forever. Noah can also grab
things to throw at animals, which knocks them out for a bit. He's also able to
lore them with food. Here's the story God gives:
God saw how corrupt the Earth had become ... and said to Noah, "I am going to
put an end to all the people, ... I am surely going to destroy both them and
the Earth. So make yourself an Ark ... I am going to bring floodwaters on the
Earth... You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and
female..."
Genesis 12:14, 17, 19
Level 1: Snakes, Oxen, Pigs, Cows, Monkeys and Horses. This is an easy level
to complete. Cows and oxen fall out of your hand if you jump while carrying
them around. Since they are slow though, this is not a big problem. Monkeys
will climb up walls and anything else nearby, but are not too hard to get,
though they can throw stuff at you. Horses try to jump over you if you get too
near them, which is kind of annoying. The hardest to find enemies are the
snakes. They are over by the grey caves to the left side of the map. Do not
waste you time trying to get a red snake from a tree, you can not. The red
snakes also hurt poor Noah. Pigs are the worst in my opinion, you either need
to knock them out with something or distract them with food. Once you have all
twelve animals it is on to level two.
Level 2: Ugh, this level is evil. You need to get turtles, pandas, raccoons,
blue jays, black birds, eagles and toucans. Almost everything can fly or climb
a tree, which makes this level very hard. Pandas are mean and will kick your
butt if you get in front of them. Knock them out by throwing something.
Raccoons are not hard to get at all but they do like to climb trees. Blue Jays
move very slowly, but they can fly, so that does make them difficult. Toucans
and blue jays move real fast and jump somewhat like horses did. You can try to
get in front of them and catch them as they land from a jump. Eagles move very
slowly, they are not much of a challenge. Blackbirds are quick, but do not fly
around as much as toucans and blue jays did. This level has many obstacles as
well, such as red snakes on trees and other kinds of birds which will lift you
to the sky. If you are holding anything while lifted, you will drop it.
Level 3: This level is time consuming. Instead of two of everything, you
need.... SEVEN! You need seven bananas, coconuts, pears, grapes, hay, wheat,
bulls and cows. *shrug*. Bulls and cows are easy enough to find. Wheat and
hay turn up easily enough too. The real trick is getting the monkeys to throw
all of the fruits at you and returning them. Eventually they will though.
Also, avoid the rolling ball thingies, they will knock you down and you will
drop something. Be careful not to get hit by the items you need to grab, which
monkeys throw at you. Fill up to four items before returning, or you really
will be at this all day. Make use of the red monkey just to the left of the
ark. And of course, remember they will not throw things unless you are under
them! Once completed, you will get to watch for about three minutes while Noah
does an inventory... just kidding, he will only count the animals.
Level 4: Hey, hey. It's the last level of Noah's Ark! This level takes place
at night. Noah has a jar with a lightning bug in it. Should the jar be
shattered, only the occasional flash of lightning will enable Noah to see.
Fear not though, you can run all the way back to the left and get another one.
God is not cruel enough to strand poor Noah, though it is a lot more fun. Noah
needs to collect two tigers, panthers, lions, leopards, koalas, coyotes, owls
and ducks. One problem with this level is that you will need to carry the jar
to see, which means you can only hold three other things. As you will need to
knock out or distract tigers to catch them, you will at times only be able to
hold two things. This level has a bunch of red snakes and bouncing ball things
to impede Noah's progress as well. This level is actually quite easy compared
to the previous two. Noah will take his final inventory of the animals.
I hate to spoil the game, but;
Having gathered all that was requested of him, Noah and his family were sealed
in the ark by God. The Earth was flooded and all living things died. Noah and
those with him came out when the surface of the ground was dry.

The second game is the Baby Moses game. In this game, Moses's mother must grab
Moses and run him to the end of the level. Here's a bit of story:
Pharaoh gave this order to all his people; "Every boy that is born you must
throw into the Nile, but let every girl live." ... A man of the house of Levi
married a Levite woman, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When
she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. But when she
could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him... And placed the
child in it and put it... along the bank of the Nile. - Exodus 1:22, 2:1-3
This game is the most difficult of the three, I would say. Baby Moses must be
kept near the woman at all times. If he ventures off of the screen, she must
go all the way back to the start of the level and grab him again. Try to hold
something else along with him, so you can take a hit and not drop him. Guards,
birds, animals. Everything is your enemy in this game. By the third level the
ground will start having moving holes in it, which she can fall through. She
and Moses can not swim, and there is no shortage of water in Egypt. Moses
mother has no way of defending herself, aside from throwing some things she
can find at enemies, or picking them up. Neither of these are very effective,
it is recommended on just run and jump through the levels, and walk on the
clouds when able to.

David and Goliath is the final game. It is a combination of the previous two.
In the first few levels David must bring flocks of sheep to safety from other
animals. After a few levels of this, you must get past those mean Philistine
people. You will have a slingshot though. The sheep levels are first and they
are pretty easy. Other animals may try to stop you, like lions bears and rams.
Scorpions are annoying as they do not seem to be able to be killed. However,
these levels are just like Noah's Ark, just with a lot more jumping left and
right.
David said to Saul, "Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your
servant will go and fight him." Saul replied, "You are not able to... fight
him; you are only a boy, and he has been fighting man from his youth." But
David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a
lion or bear came... I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep..." 1
Samuel 17:32-35
After doing the four sheep levels...
The [David] ... with his sling in hand, approached the Philistine. - 1 Samuel
17:40
Now David will have to climb up a mountain, dodging falling rocks, enemy troops
and scorpions. If hit by a scorpion. David will be stunned momentarily and
fall down a long, long way. When you finally reach the top of the mountain,
Goliath will wait there laughing at you. He can jump causing the earth to
shake, which will make it impossible to David to shoot for a while. If David
hits Goliath anywhere, Goliath will stop moving to laugh at David. One clean
shot to the forehead and Goliath will fall to the ground, lifeless.
After Goliath is defeated;
Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, [David] slung it and struck the
Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into the forehead, and he fell
facedown on the ground. - 1 Samuel 17:49

Throughout the game there are a few bible verses and tips. Each verse and tip
gives a player more life. This is what the tips say:
Hint: Press "Down" and "A" to jump down.
So we may with confidence, "The lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What
can man do to me?" - Hebrews 13:6
The lord who deliver me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will
deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. - 1 Samuel 17:37

Hint: While walking, pressing "B" will make you run faster and jump farther.

Hint: Pressing "B" while pushing down causes you to drop an object. Pressing
"B" while pushing up will rotate your stack of objects.
