1. Introduction

Welcome to my FAQ/Walkthrough for Tom and Jerry: Mouse Attacks. This
walkthrough was created as part of the GB/GBC Completion Project, a project
that strives to make a complete guide for every GB and GBC game. If you are
interested, see the latest topic in the gamefaqs FAQ Contributor board. Anyway,
in the game, Tom has kidnapped Jerry's friends, and Jerry has to go rescue
them. So have fun with this game, even though it's short.

3. Walkthrough

Level 1: The Lounge
Rescue the Duckling!
********************
Start out the level and grab the 3 golden pieces. Watch out for the roach near
the lamp. Go up to the lamp and climb up the post to collect 4 more golden
pieces. At the top, grab both golden pieces and the extra life. Jump down back
to the ground, and head to the right. If you had happened to get damaged, there
is a piece of cheese located under the table. Keep going right and make sure to
avoid both of the roaches as you pass the couch. Also rememeber to jump up and
get all 5 golden pieces (careful: the roach may come under you as you jump).
When you come to the devil mouse, stop.
The devil mouse will tell you that behind the door your near, you can play a
game to win special prizes, and that you need to have the specified number of
golden pieces to play the game. For this game, you need 12 golden pieces, which
if you followed this FAQ up to this point, already have. The game behind the
door is a block puzzle game. To beat this game, you have to recreate the
starting picture. When the computer mixes up the blocks, try to remember the
last couple movements. Then, move around the other blocks until you have a
picture. Upon comleting this game, you will recieve 3 rockets. Go back left
until you get back to the lamp.
This time, jump up the 2 blocks and get the golden pieces above both blocks.
From the second block jump onto the table and speak to the angel mouse. This
mouse just tells you to remember to collect golden pieces and that it's proud
your helping your friends. After talking, jump to the top of the phone, then
jump in an arc so that you collect the 3 golden pieces and land on the couch.
As you head across the couch, watch out for the mouse toy. Go as far as you can
to the edge of the couch, then jump as far as you can to get to the next table.
The angel mouse is here again to tell you to watch out for the fish (well duh).
Using your newfound knowledge, jump across the water bowl and avoid the fish.
Here you will meet the devil mouse who tells you to use rockets to blast
through the weak part in the shelves. To do this use B to fly up with the
rocket. You should collect the cheese slice as you go up, then grab all 3
golden pieces on the right and head to the left. On the left part of the book,
use another rocket to fly up through the broken shelf. Jump onto the fishbowl
to the left, and then jump right. Over here you will find a piece of cheese.
Drop down through the hole to get a golden piece, then jump across the
fishbowls and head left. Climb up the lamp here to get two more golden pieces.
You shouldn't have enough pieces yet for the game, so jump back down. Jump from
the current shelf to a tiny one and get all three golden pieces in the jump.
You should now have enough golden pieces to play the game, so head back up the
lamp.
Now you have to play the pie attack game. Using the d-pad, throw pies at tom
and the other cats. Reload by going to the center and pressing A. After
winning, collect the 3 parosals and jump back down the lamp. Go left and climb
up the clock collecting all 4 golden pieces. Meet the angel who tells you you
can't cross the gap blah blah blah. Anyway, jump and press B to use the parosal
(to equip the parosal press START and choose it) and float to the next shelf
and get all the golden pieces (4). On the other side go until you see the
spider, then float below it. Keep jumping left down on the shelves until you
arrive at ducks cage. After rescuing the duck tom will grab both of you, but
then you are flung onto a spiderweb.
BOSS: Spider
Once the boss stage loads, you will see a spider. Try to lure the spider to the
bottom middle area, and when the meter in the middle is full, jump onto one of
the buttons to release the poison. You must do this 4 times to kill the spider.
Watch out for the green blobs he shoots at you, and when he races along the
top, be careful of the tiny spiders that fall down.

Level 2: The Kitchen
Rescue Uncle Pecos!

Start the level by jumping up and grabbing the chile pepper. Move through the
running water until you reah the broom. Climb to the top of the broom and
collect the 5 cakes on your way up. Jump down the left side to grab an extra
life. Jump back onto the broom, and up to the ledge with 2 cakes on it. Keep
jumping up till you reah the top. Collect the 3 cakes, but be careful of the
bomb floating on the running water. Jump down a shelf, walk past the bomb, and
jump back to the top. Grab the 3 cakes as you move right. You'll see a door,
but will need more cakes to enter. To get some more cakes, go all the way back
to where the broom is. If you remember where you jumped last time, jump below
that. Go to your right, then jump up to grab 2 more cakes. Go right some more,
and grab to more cakes on a ledge above you.
After this you should have 20 cakes, so you still need 6 more to enter that
room. Jump down to the right, and move up to the washing machine (it's gushing
water). Jump onto the spinning platform, and collect the 6 cakes. You now have
enough cakes to enter the room, so go back up there. The room contains a new
game, "Live Bait". I don't know if the game is random, so here's a basic idea.
Fish will swim around towards you, or from behind you. Avoid these fish, as
well as the jellyfish that shoot up. Just keep avoiding the fish, dodging
between them and moving around. When you see a star, grab that and you win the
game. Choose the bombs, not the chile as your prize.
Jump to the ground, and head to the right. You should hit a stack of plates
blocking your way. Set a bomb next to the plates, and they will blow up. Keep
going right, and climb up the refrigerator using the platforms and metallic
letters. Near the top where the electrical outlet is, you can go left, but do
this later. Instead, go to the very top of the fridge, and you'll see the devil
mouse. He tells you to move the pepper shaker, but first grab the life. Then
push the shaker to the left, and jump onto the platform. Make an arcing jump so
you can grab the four cakes. You can then hop down to grab the chile pepper. Go
back up to where you jumped down from, and head to the rope hanging from a
ledge. Watch out for the cockroach, or just burn it with a pepper. Climb up the
rope, grab the 3 cakes on the rope, and the 5 on the ledge, as well as the two
chile peppers. Climb back down the rope, and jump to grab the cheese piece.
Okay, you should have 38 cakes, so head back to the fridge. Remember when I
said you could go left earlier? Well go left now, and you'll hit a game door.
Grab the piece of cheese, and enter the game "Water Skiing". I found this game
somewhat hard, but don't let that bother you. What you need to do is like that
game earlier. Dodge the obstacles and reach the star. It's pretty
straightforward, but watch out for a fish the swims near the bottom of the
screen. After completion, pick the umbrellas, and go all the way back to where
that rope was. Jump down to a sink. Watch out for the fish, grab the 3 cakes,
and use an umbrella to float as far left as you can. Go left through the edge
of the screen. See the ovenlike things the flare up, well you have to cross
them. When they aren't spurting flames, jump over one and get between them so
you don't get burned. Just keep doing this till you get to uncle Pecos at the
end.
BOSS: Tom with Hose
See the bowling ball, well that is your weapon. Push it down and wait form tom
to get under a hole. Knock the bowling ball onto tom's head. Do this four times
to defeat tom. The only thing to worry about is the water tom sprays at you.
When the cursor turns red, get out of the way and you'll be fine.

Stage 3: The Garden

Welcome to level 3. The first thing you should notice is that you'll be
collecting acorns now. Grab those two acorns you see, and head right. A little
mound near the next 2 acorns contains a mole that jumps, so be careful of it.
Also, when jumping, watch out for the woodpecker when it starts pecking. Jump
up the ledges, and jump back down the otherside to collect the 3 acorns. Jump
back up, and jump past the woodpecker. Go through the ledges grabbing the chile
pepper and the acorns, but watch out for the bee. Fall down where the arrow
points, and get those acorns. You should now have 15 acorns, and two chile
peppers if you get the one at the bottom. Go to the mushroom, and bounce up it
to get 3 more acorns. You still need more acorns to get in the door, so head
back up from where you dropped down.
Jump up where a second bee is buzzing. Jump over it, grab the acorn, but watch
out for the catepillar. Feel free to roast these with a chile pepper. Keep
going left, and get the four more acorns and cheese piece. Head back past the
bee, and then go past the bee flying in a circle. I did this fast, so I forgot
where the acorns were, if any. Anyway, you'll see spiky fruit that will hurt
you, so wait for a moving platform to come before preceding. Jump down to the
bottom, collect all the acorns, and go to where a tree blocks your path. Jump
to the mushroom, bounce up, and head left. Go across the platforms, avoid the
bee, and once you reach far enough left, you'll find a piece of cheese. Jump
down, and go back the game door.
The door contains another game of "Block Puzzle", so just try the stratagy I
gave in level 1. Pick up the bombs, and go all the way right again. Instead of
going left after bouncing up the mushroom, go right and blow up the wall
blocking your way. Jump to where you can see that acorn and pick those 5 up as
well as the cheese piece. Then drop down on the left and collect those acorns
as well, leaving you with a total of 45. Go right, watch out for the mole, and
head to the next screen. Avoid the mole here, and climb up the vine, and jump
down both sides so you collect all 6 acorns. There are lots of platforms here,
so just jump around to collect the 5 acorns. The two doors can't be entered
yet, so jump down. Go right and jump on the platform. Grab the two floating
acorns, the one under a second platform, and climb up the vine for more acorns.
Just venture around, jumping up platforms, and find acorns. I ended up with 76
before returning to the game doors that you ran into earlier. Go in the first
one for a game of "Catch the Eggs". Not hard, just get under the eggs and
bounce them into the bin at the end. Usually takes 2-4 bounces to reach it.
Once two eggs came at once, so just move back and forth between the eggs.
Complete the game and pick up the springs. Go up to the next door to play
"Tom's Cups". Just keep your eye on the cup jerry is in, and pick that one once
they stop moving. Pick up the bubblegum as your prize. Head all the way right,
until you reach the doghouse. Use a spring to get on top, and collect the 4
acorns there. Just search around for more acorns, and then enter the hole in
the tree.
Use your bubblegum here and float up, avoiding hitting anything. When you see
the roach, go towards him and go up, or else you'll get stuck in a dead end.
When you reach the top, go left across the branch and rescue the dog.
BOSS: Cats in Trashcans
Many objects including dynamite, fish skeletons, and apples are being flung
around. Avoid the objects, but with the thimble on your head, you can bounce
the objects back at the cats. Hit them four times to win.

Stage 4: The Toy Room
Rescue Tuffy!

New stage, the toy room. New collectible object, Maracas. Grab the two maracas
on the platforms, and then the 3 above the robot. Drop down next to the robot
collect the nearby maraca as well as one over the toy blocks. Jump onto the top
of the block stack, then jump onto the cabinet handle. Jump and grab the 2
maracas, head right, then drop down collecting 5 maracas. Watch out for the
bouncing ball, collect the maraca, then climb over the blocks. Grab the two
maracas, keep going right, jump over the jack-in-the-box and avoid the
cockroach. Grab the maraca near the game door, giving you enough to enter and
play "Block Puzzle". You know how to do this by now, it just has more moves, so
when your done, pick up your prize. Go back to the jack-in-the-box, and make a
running leap to the blue ledge. Jump around the ledges to collect all the
maracas, leaving you with 28. Go back to where you saw that game door inside
the blocks. Go back there, and set a bomb on the block with a bomb picture on
it.
"Soap Surfing" awaits you inside this door. Remember the water skiing game?
Well it's the same as that, except you can jump over obstacles, making it much
easier. Claim your prize, the rockets, and use them to bust through that ledge
nearby with an arrow under it. Blast through the next ledge, and collect the
maraca on top of the robot. Climb your way up the rocket and collect the 7
maracas on your way up. Jump on the platforms to your left, and collect the
life near the end. Jump down, and jump right to get 5 more maracas. Disregard
the floating yellow block, and go back to your left.
Jump up and grab the maraca on top of the robot. Watch out for the wind-up
mouse as you move on, then drop down on the edge of the platform to collect the
maraca and land on the robot. Go right, collect the four maracas, while
watching out for the spinning ball. After you get all four (for a total of 49)
go back left and enter the door to play "Pie Panic", a game you should be
familiar with. Pick up the springs, and use one near that arrow. Spring up, and
press Up on the control pad in front of the remote to call Mechano.
BOSS: Meachano
This is a hard boss, so be prepared to die a couple times before beating it.
Mechano is a robot dog thing that rolls around. Just start out by moving with
the screen, then when rockets start raining down, dodge around. After a bit,
you can move to the next part of mechano. Here, you must dodge a bullet,
raining rockets, and rockets coming from your feet. Not an easy task. Just stay
away from the rocket shooters, and duck under the bullet. You may lose some
life here, just because everything comes out randomly. After a minute or two,
you can move on to the back of Mechano. Nothing bad happens here, and when a GO
sign appears, jump down to the ground. The next part has you jumping up from
one paw to the other, while dodging the rockets.

Final Stage: The Attic

Woot! The last level. Pink mouse and circling bat await as your first enemies,
and then the new collectible shows its face, keys. Just keep going to your
right, collecting keys, pass the door, dodge the jumping cockroach, and go
through the screen. Collect these keys for a total of ten, enough to play the
game. So go back, play "Water Skiing", and collect your rockets. Rocket through
the platform you passed earlier, grab the four keys, then rocket up again. Grab
the 3 keys, go right, collect 3 more keysand go up one more ledge.
Go left, and jump down the ledges collecting the keys on the way. Enter the
game door to play "Tom's Cups". Grab the umbrellas, jump back up the ledges,
and use an umbrella to cross the spikes. Grab the 3 keys and life, then enter
the game "Soap Surfing" and complete it to win some bubblegum. Go right, and
drop all the way to the ground. Go into the next screen, then pull out the
bubblegum. Start out by grabbing the chile pepper, then go right if you want a
pepper, or left if you need a piece of cheese. No matter which way ou go, you
want to end up on the left. From here just go up until you reach the top, then
head out the side.
After exiting, be careful of the cockroach, and proceed past the door, which
you can't get to just yet. Jump past the spikes when the bat is out of the way,
then torch the moth with a chile pepper. Jump onto the light, down to the
ledge, and finally down to where a few tools are. Collect all the keys for a
total of 46. See the handles that extend from the tools? Well, use an umbrella
to float down to the first handle, and collect the keys hanging around. After
you get all 6, climb back up, and head back to the door. If you happen to fall,
just go back and use bubblegum to get back up. The door contains a game of
"Save the Eggs". Just use the previous stratagy to conqour this last minigame
and collect the bombs. Go back to the tools, then jump as far left as you can.
See the mouse? Well, use a bomb to blow up the wall near him, and it's done.
BOSS: TOM
Well, it's final boss time, and your lucky. Tom is much easier than the last
boss, so don't worry. All you have to do is hit the pie/tomato/egg at the right
time so that it hits tom. Just dodge Tom's hand swipes, and hit him four times
for ultimate victory.
