WHAT ARE SPIRITS?

Spirits look like a little puff of smoke coming from the ground.
Since Brian is a Spirit Tamer, you can go up to these 'Spirits'
and hit the 'A' button. This will open up a little section on the
bottom of the screen where you can choose which element to level
up. There are four elements, Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind.
To use magic spells you must first collect enough spirits to
enable you to use the spell. When you find a spirit, you'll
get one level up for whichever of the four elements you choose.

HOW DO I FIND THESE SPIRITS?

You can find spirits in various locations, and this FAQ
describes in the necessary detail how to find all the
spirits in the game (Unless I missed some). You can also
gain 'Spirit Levels' by winning battles.

SPIRIT LOCATIONS

Okay, here's the main part of the FAQ.
This is how I will describe the location of a spirit:
First comes a number, then the main location of the spirit (such as
which town or dungeon it's in, or if it's on the World Map), and after
the ';' comes the more detailed location of the spirit.
I've found 79 different spirits, and if there are more, I would
appreciate an e-mail with the information set up the way I
have it. Submitter would get full recognition.
1. Melrode; Inside Bart's House.
2. Melrode; Bottom-right corner of the fenced-in area with the sheep.
3. Dondoran; Southwest section of town.
4. Dondoran; Castle storage room (right side of second floor).
5. Connor Forest; Inside Shannon's house.
6. Connor Forest; Northeast section of the fork above Shannon's house,
through an opening in the trees.
7. Connor Forest; On the right side of the screen one north of the
entrance, near the path.
8. Connor Forest; Top right of the screen which has the entrance
to Solvaring's cave.
9. Connor Forest; Top left of Solvaring's cave.
10. Dondoran; Castle treasury (after defeating Solvaring).
11. World Map; Just below Connor Forest's southern exit.
12. World Map; Beside the Inn by the Lake.
13. World Map; Head north up the path from the Inn by the Lake,
take the first left and then go down.
14. World Map; Above the first bridge west of Efna's house.
15. World Map; Leave Larapool, head down and take the first
right.
16. Larapool; Outside the Inn's basement exit.
17. Larapool; Outside the building where Leila opens the path
to the Water Cave.
18. Larapool; Outside the Water Cave's entrance.
19. Water Cave (In Larapool); From the entrance, follow the
wall on your right. When it ends, go left until you can
go up. Go up to grab the spirit.
20. Water Cave; Go down and left from the last spirit.
21. Water Cave; From the last spirit, go to the path on
the left, walk up a bit, go left as soon as you can,
follow the path, go up, and then right soon after to
get the spirit.
22. Water Cave; Head left from the spirit above, then down
when you see this spirit.
23. Water Cave; Starting at the last spirit (#22), go up, right
when you have to, and up at the first opportunity. Follow
the path and take the second right available. Hug the wall
below you and head right to until you reach the spirit.
24. Water Cave; From the last spirit, head left, take the first
up, the first right, and then follow the upper-right path.
25. World Map; From Dorothy's house, go down until you hit a
wall, then turn left.
26. Cull Hazard; Turn right at the entrance, follow the path,
take the second path leading up, and turn left when you
see the spirit.
27. Cull Hazard; In the second room's long, narrow path, take
the first left.
28. Normoon; Fenced in by the house closest to the town's
entrance.
29. Normoon; In the Wing House's fence.
30. Normoon; Another in the Wing House's fence.
31. Windward Forest; At the path split in the second screen,
head up for this spirit.
32. Windward Forest; In front of the empty house.
33. Windward Forest; Inside the uninhabited house.
34. Kiliac's Boat; In the first room.
35. World Map; Outside Colleen's house.
36. World Map; In the back room of Colleen's house.
37. World Map; West of Colleen's house.
38. World Map; Near Stone Circle.
39. World Map; Another near Stone Circle.
40. World Map; Along the road leading to Limelin.
41. Limelin; To the right of the tavern.
42. Limelin; In front of the tower in the top right section of
town.
43. Limelin; Second floor of the tower in the top right section
of town.
44. Limelin; Along the left side of town.
45. Limelin; Above the last, also along the left side of town.
46. Limelin; Above the fountain in the northern part of town.
47. Limelin Castle; In the first room of the castle, go up
the left staircase and find this spirit to your left.
48. Limelin Castle; Top right of the castle's library
(Second floor, top left room).
49. Limelin Castle; Bottom right of the second floor's bottom
left room.
50. World Map; From the sign south of Limelin, take the south
route and turn right at the opening.
51. World Map; On the way to Baragoon Tunnel, follow the path
until you see a clearing under some trees. Walk through
the opening to find a spirit.
52. World Map; Heading to Baragoon Tunnel, find this in
clear view when the path makes a small branch to the left.
53. World Map; In the house along the path.
54. World Map; Another in the same house.
55. Baragoon Tunnel; When the path widens, go right then down.
56. Baragoon Tunnel; From the above spirit, go up until you
hit a wall, go left a little bit, and go up again until you
see this spirit.
57. Baragoon Tunnel; In the second section of the tunnel. From
the start of the room, follow the wall on the right side of
the screen to this spirit.
58. Baragoon Tunnel; In the third section, after fighting Lavaar.
From the beginning of this room, go left all the war, then
down until you hit a wall. You should see the spirit.
59. Baragoon Tunnel; After fighting Fargo, and after the block
section, the path will split up or go down along the left
wall. Go up to find this spirit.
60. Desert; In Gelson's house, which is right when you exit the
tunnel.
61. Desert; In the middle of the large section of desert south
of Walt's house.
62. Shilf's Temple; To get to Shilf's Temple, step on the panel
in the lower right corner of the large section of desert
below Walt's house. Find a spirit along the left side
of the temple.
63. Shilf's Temple; Along the right side of the temple.
64. Shilf's Temple; Top left of the first room.
65. Shilf's Temple; Top right of the first room.
66. Shilf's Temple; From the treasure room, exit left and
go up.
67. Shilf's Temple; Outside and to the right of the top level.
68. Shilf's Temple; Inside the top level, left side.
69. Shilf's Temple; Inside the top level, right side.
70. Desert; Right by the ruined town.
71. Desert; Take the higher path west of the ruined town.
72. Desert; East of the Desert Cave's entrance, in the
lower left section of the desert.
73. Desert Cave; From the entrance, follow the wall on your
right all the way to this spirit.
74. Desert Cave; Still inside the cave, start at the exit (not
entrance), go right, take the path up, then the first right.
Take the next up, then right, and find the spirit in the
top right of this open area.
75. World Map; After exiting the Desert Cave, follow the path to
see this spirit located in a small indent to your right.
76. World Map; Beside Bation's house.
77. World Map; Upstairs in Bation's house.
78. World Map; From Brannoch, go right, and take the path down.
79. World Map; From Brannoch, go all the way right to find
this spirit at a dead end.
