"Unless you're one of those types that like to live in caves, you should know
at least a little something about the Mega Man universe, whether it be the fact
that the series is divided in two (the X and the original series), the fact
that Mega is a little robot dude in blue underwear that shoots bullets out of
his arm, or the fact that he has more sequels than McDonalds has hamburgers."

Welcome to my Rockman X2: Soulraiser (GBC) walkthrough. I'm better at reading
Kanji now than when I wrote my X5 one, hopefully I'll be able to translate more
of the game. n_n It's small at the moment cause I haven't played much of the
game yet.
===============================================================================
1. Story
===============================================================================
I haven't been able to translate very much of the story yet. Actually, I
haven't been able to translate any of it. XP Except Iris is in it. Why? I have
no idea. But I don't like her anyways, oh well.

The villans of this game are two rather medievil looking characters. The first
one you see is Garesu, a guy in silver armor with purple jewels on the helmet
and shoulders. The other you see after defeating two Irregular bosses, her name
is Berukana.
===============================================================================
2. Features
===============================================================================
- Perhaps the first thing you notice when you play this game is that Iris is in
it. I still have no idea why.
- Enemies COME BACK after you kill them! At least the green cannon things in
the intro level do.
- Play the whole game as either X or Zero, like in X4, and have the ability to
switch between the two mid-level.
- Much of the music is from X2, the level music for Irregulars in X1 and X3 are
the same as their SNES counterparts, though.
===============================================================================

5. Irregulars
===============================================================================
The set of Irregulars you have to find and battle depends on who you play the
game as. Listed by Japanese name with English name in parentheses.
5.1. X's Mission
X's part of the game puts you against Shining Tigerd (Neon Tiger) from X3,
Launcher Octopuld (Launch Octopus) from X1, Electro Namazuros (Volt Catfish)
from X3, and Burnin' Noumander (Flame Mammoth) from X1.

5.2. Zero's Mission
Zero's part of the game, like X's, sends you to take out four Irregulars. They
are Wire Hetimarl (Wire Sponge) from X2, Explose Horneck (Blast Hornet) from
X3, Sonic Ostreague (Overdrive Ostrich) from X2, and Screw Masaider (Tunnel
Rhino) from X3.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WIRE HETIMARL
Heart Tank- Jump up the wall on the left immediately after starting the level.
Sub Tank- In the "tree" room with the vertical platforms over the spikes. Climb
up as high as you can and travel along the platforms. One of them is in a "C"
shape, the Sub Tank is inside of it.
Boss Battle: Wire Hetimarl
Hetmarl has few attacks that are simple to avoid. He'll spin his vine around in
front of him like a shield, then throw the spiked end at you. Jump up on to the
wall and jump over him. Once he's low on health, He'll turn red and summon
lightning bolts that come down from the ceiling. Just stay on one side of the
screen to avoid these. I've had a hard time hitting him once he's turned red.
Weapon gained- Lightning
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXPLOSE HORNECK
Nothing like its X3 version. Horneck's level is much more vertical, forcing you
to climb upwards into the building by way of floating machinery and platforms.
The mechanical bugs are labelled Spycopters by the images in the level.
Heart Tank- After the auto save point, there's a second area where you must
climb upwards on the Spycopters. Drop down from the ledge you're standing on
and go down the ladder a bit. Dash jump onto the Spycopter to the right, and
keep going till you find the Heart Tank perched on the last Spycopter.
Boss Battle- Sub Boss
You'll encounter a room with two orbs on each wall. They light up one at a
time and shoot at you. Hit them when they light up to destroy them. Once all
four are out, you can leave the room. Tiny hornets will be flying at you the
whole time, destroy these for extra energy.
Boss Battle- Explose Horneck
Horneck has two attacks. One is releasing two little wasps at you, the other is
diving at you with stinger exposed. Simply swat the smaller bugs and slash away
whenever Horneck sits still. To avoid the stinger attack,
Weapon gained- A-sugeiza-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SONIC OSTREAGUE
Watch out for the tornado machines, this level is nothing like its X2 version.
These machines will kill you if you touch the tornado they create.
In the second Land Chaser area, there's these greenish barriers. Dash at them
to break them down.
Heart Tank- There's a stretch of ground after you find the second Land Chaser
that goes up and down, and there's three pig machines on it. After the slopes,
drop down into the pit to the right and grab the Heart Tank. Dash right away to
break the barrier so you can get out.
Head Parts- Just past the area with the tornado machines, there's a ladder
against a wall, and a pit on the left of the screen. Jump over the pit as far
as you can, then air dash over to another ladder. Climb up to find the capsule.
Boss Battle- Sonic Ostreague
Stay on the high ridge and try to keep Ostreague in the lower area. This will
make it easier to jump over him when he charges at you. If he bounces across
the screen, stay in the lower area and dash beneath him. When he disappears
from the screen and reappears in the background, stay in the lower area till
he jumps down over you. Jump over his Sonic Slicers, and just slash away.
Weapon gained- Dash
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SCREW MASAIDER
Again, not much like the original X3 version. Watch out for the boulders, try
to take them out with your Z Sabre if you can.
After you're forced to leave your Ride Armor, get through the next area as fast
as you possibly can and hang out on the walls closest to the top of the screen,
or just stand on the higher ground to avoid the lava that will be spurting up
shortly.
Heart Tank- In the area with the Ride Armor. Go as far to the right as you can,
you'll see it above you on a ledge. Back up a bit, dash jump and hover with the
Ride Armor, and jump out of it in the air to reach the Heart Tank.
Boss Battle- Screw Masaider
Not too hard. His attacks are charging back and forth across the room and
firing small Tornado Fangs at you. Just stay on the wall to avoid the Tornado
Fang, and jump down behind him when he charges at the wall. Stay on one side if
he flashes green while charging to avoid being hit by the two rocks that fly up
at you.
Weapon gained- Dorirukurashu
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FINAL LEVEL 1
This is a remake of a level from the Counter Hunters' base in X2.
Boss Battle- Velguader
What?! This thing's back too? They're bringing back a lot of dead characters in
this game. I hate this dog. I really do. Try to keep him on the ground. Jump
over him when he runs at you, stay up on the walls to avoid the blue orbs he
spits out, and jump over the stream of fire he spits. Much harder than he was
in X1.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FINAL LEVEL 2
This is also a remake of a level from the CH base. It doesn't seem familiar,
though. Watch out for the electrical barriers, they kill in one hit. Near the
end of the level is an area with lava similar to that in Masaider's level.
Boss Battle- ???
I have no idea of what the heck this thing is, except it's a tank with two
faces. I haven't beaten the bloody thing yet, but try to keep it against the
right side of the screen.

8. Updates
===============================================================================
Version 1.5, August 6, 2001
Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been having some problems in that thing
called real life. -.- More menu translations added.
Version 1.4, July 23 2001
Another stupid mistake, I misread the katakana in the game's title. The correct
title for the game is Rockman X2: Soul Eraser. Whoopsie doodle. Thanks to
someone named Tamamo Nube for pointing this out to me. Added Heart Tank info
for Ostreague and Horneck's level. Decription for the Dorirukurashu added. Also
thanks to Tamamo Nube for that.
Version 1.3, July 22 2001
Subscreen info and final level info added. Silly me, I didn't know you could
switch between X and Zero...
Version 1.2, July 22 2001
Irregular levels for Zero's mission covered.
Version 1.1, July 21 2001
Heart Tank information added, also added space for things I'll be adding later.
Version 1.0, July 20 2001
First release. Will be adding more as I play.
End of File.
