Orbulon Japanese Quiz Games Guide and Translation

Contains Japanese in Shift-JIS format.
To see it correctly, make sure you have Japanese support installed, then:
Choose the "View" menu in your browser
Choose the "Encoding"/"Character Coding" entry (or similar, depends on browser)
Find and select "Japanese (Shift-JIS)", you may have to look through a few sub-
menus
Now this FAQ should display Japanese characters correctly.

| Introduction |

This is a guide and translation of the two Japanese quiz games in the Orbulon
level.
What's This? where you identify a picture and Switch Letters where you make
letters change place to form a word.

When playing, if you want to use this guide, I suggest pausing the game as
soon as you've seen the puzzle.
Then look it up here, and look for the right letters in the game.
This way is much easier than memorizing all the puzzles at once.

Identify the word from the picture.
In each puzzle you need to pick a certain number of letters to complete a word.
You get five letters to choose between. They're randomly ordered every time.
All the letters are always hiragana, so if you know a little bit of that it
helps a lot.
Tilt the GBA left and right to select the letter you want, and press A to
choose the selected letter.

This micro-game appears randomly when you play Orbulon's level in the main
game.
To clear it the first time you only need to do one level 1 puzzle, when
replaying the levels will increase.

You can also find this micro-game in the album. The icon is a green and red
square on blue background.
You need to clear 15 puzzles of all three levels to earn the crown.


In the puzzle descriptions below the structure is as follows:

The English word in brackets ex. [Cat] is a description the image shown in
each puzzle.

Japanese letters of the full word follows.

The letters which are given from the beginning are marked:

Below that is the pronounciation of each letter given.

Within each level I've sorted the puzzles alphabetically according to the
English description for easy finding.
In the actual game they appear randomly, one level after the other.

| Switch Letters |

Switch the letters given to form a word.
Each puzzle gives you a certain number of letters.
There are no images to help out here.
The letters are both hiragana and katakana, so if you know a little of those
it helps.
However, even if you don't know any Japanese you should be able to solve some
level 1 and level 2 puzzles simply by luck. Just keep switching like crazy!
Tilt the GBA left and right to move the selection arrow. Press A to switch the
two cards it points to.

game.
