========================================================================
1.                          INTRODUCTION
========================================================================

Welcome to my guide for Tony Hawk's Underground for the Gameboy
Advance. This is the 5th installment of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series
of games, and the 3rd on the GBA. While the play mechanics are
essentially the same as the console versions, the GBA game uses an over-
head, isometric view. Regardless of this difference, the game still
plays like a Tony Hawk title.

New to Tony Hawk's Underground is the Story Mode, where you make your
own skater and have to level him up and complete goals to get better.
There's also the Arcade Mode, and a Free Skate Mode, but Story Mode is
the main focus of the game. It's the key to unlocking most of the other
skaters and levels in the game.

In this guide I'll walk you through the Story Mode level by level, as
well as the Arcade Mode. Each level is broken down into the goals you
have to accomplish. I use compass directions to describe the layout of
the screen:

North    Top of the GBA screen
NE       Top Right corner of the screen (Northeast)
East     Right side of the screen
SE       Bottom-right corner of the screen (Southeast)
South    Bottom of the screen
SW       Bottom-left corner of the screen (Southwest)
West     Left side of the screen

So if I say "skate NE to the bridge" that means skate towards the
top-right corner of the GBA screen. When describing the control pad
and moves I use the following commands:

up       Up on the Dpad
dn       Down on the Dpad
<-       Left on the Dpad
->       Right on the Dpad
ur       Up-Right, the diagonal between up and right on the Dpad
dr       Down-Right, diagonal between down and right on the Dpad
dl       Down-Left, diagonal between down and left on the Dpad
ul       Up-Left, diagonal between up and left on the Dpad

Also note that I'm by no means an expert on skating, and I don't
pretend to be in the guide. So if I misuse a skating term here and there,
that's why. For instance, I use "ramp," and "quarter pipe" for the same
thing. Ok, with all that out of the way, let's get to the guide.

Enjoy!

========================================================================

========
MOVEMENT
========

Use the Dpad to move your skater around the map. Up makes you skater
start in the direction he's facing, Dn slows him down. <-/-> turns
the skater.

To build up speed to catch some air on a ramp, hold down B to crouch
as you approach, then let go near the top of the ramp and you'll jump.
Hit Up on the Dpad as you jump and you'll perform a No Comply to let
you reach some higher spots on the map.

When landing froma jump you have to land almost perpendicular to the
ramp, i.e. not sideways. It's hard to explain but once you play you'll
see what I mean. You also have to stop performing any tricks as you
land. When landing, if you hit the R Trigger you'll do a revert which
will allow you to keep a combo going.

======
TRICKS
======

There are four types of tricks in the game, along with some other
moves that can help you jump higher or keep a combo going, etc.

----------
FLIPTRICKS
----------

Fliptricks are performed by hitting the L Trigger and a direction on
the Dpad. Most fliptricks are quick, so you can pull off two or three
in a row(or more) for a good combo. You should always try to throw in
a fliptrick or two when you're jumping a gap, or grinding a long rail,
etc.

-----
GRABS
-----

Grabs are perform with the R Trigger and a direction on the Dpad. Grabs
are slower to pull off than Flips, so you need to catch some good air if
you want to get 3 or 4 on a single jump.

-----------
GRINDS/LIPS
-----------

You pull off Grinds by hitting the A Button and a direction on the
Dpad. Jump towards a rail, bench, or any low to the ground structure,
and hit A plus a direction to start grinding. To keep the grind going
you have to keep the pointer on the balance meter near the center. The
higher your grind stat, the easier it is to keep your balance.

Lip moves are like Grinds, in that they involve using certain rails,
but Lip moves are performed on the top of 1/4 pipe and other rails
and can't be done on the regular, low rails found in the levels.
Rails ABOVE ramps you can jump off are usually fair game though. To
perform a Lip move, you have to be perfectly perpendiculat to the
ramp you're skating up and when you get to the top, hit the Lip
move command(A+direction) and you'll do the Lip move. A balance
meter pops up, if it goes all the way to the top you'll fall and
if it goes to the bottom you'll end the Lip move. Lip moves can
be reverted as you land to keep a combo going.

In Story Mode(or with any of the Pro Skaters right from the start in
Arcade Mode) once you increase your stats enough, you unlock Lip
Transitions. This allows you to combo Lip Moves once you start one,
Lip Transitions are an easy and fast way to build up huge combo points.

-----------------
MANUALS/TRANSFERS
-----------------

On the ground, hit up,dn or dn,up to start doing a Manual. A vertical
balance meter pops on screen, to keep the Manual going you have to keep
the pointer near the center of the balance meter. The higher your Manual
stat, the easier it is. During the manual you can perform Flatland
Tricks, these are little flips and moves that add points to a combo, your
special meter (under "score") must be flashing in order to do Flatlands.
Check your skater's Tricks section to see how to pull off specific
tricks.

To transfer on a two sided ramp, you have to hit L+R near the top of
the ramp. An easier way to do this is to hold down R as you go up the
ramp, then hit L near the top. Your skater will transfer from one side
of the ramp to the other. There are also special transition moves,
like the Lip moves, that you can perform during a transfer to add points
to a combo. Check the Tricks section of your skater for specific move
commands.

------
COMBOS
------

If you've played any Tony Hawk game before you know that huge combos
are the focus. If not(where have YOU been all these years?), combos are
a string of moves performed one after another. For example, you jump off
a ramp and pull off a couple fliptricks in the air. This in itself is
a combo, albeit a measely little one, BUT if you revert(R) as you land
and immediately go into a Manual(up,dn or dn,up) you'll keep the combo
going. Now, while manualing you can perform Flatland tricks or find a
rail to grind or another ramp to jump up and do some more air tricks.
The more tricks you do in a combo, the higher the bonus multiplier
goes up.

The bonus multiplier is shown next to the names of the moves you've
pulled off in the combo so far. So if you pulled off three kickflips
in a combo worth 100 points, you get the 300 points for the tricks
multiplied by 3(since you performed 3 tricks) for a total of 900
points. Nice! One downside is that tricks lose their value as you
use them over and over in a combo. So that 3 Kickflip combo would be
more like 100, 90, 70 for 260 points, multiplied by 3 for only 780
points instead of the full 900. This is incentive for you to mix up
your tricks in your combos.

The last way to add points to a combo is to throw in spins with your
air moves. If you pull off a regular Tailgrab you get 100 points or so,
but if you pull off a 180 Tailgrab you get more, and more for a 360
Tailgrab, 540, etc etc. So build up that spin and air stat and rack up
some points!

========================================================================
4.                     ARCADE MODE WALKTHROUGH
========================================================================

Arcade mode is basically "Tony Hawk Classic." You pick a skater,
pick a level, and try to accomplish the level goals within the time
limit. Complete enough goals in Story Mode and you open up the next
stage. Anyone who's played a Tony Hawk game before will be familiar with
the setup. At first you can only select Tony Hawk to use in Arcade Mode,
the other skaters become available as you unlock them in Story Mode.
The choice of skater doesn't really matter, but it is much easier to
accomplish goals with a skater with high stats.

For the Walkthrough, I've listed each goal in each level seperately.
Most of the time you can accomplish a couple goals per run, but some
of the collection and high score goals you'll probably have to devote
entire runs to. I went through the Arcade levels AFTER I beat all the
goals of the same stage in the Story Mode and I suggest you do the same,
you get to know the layout of the level and that makes Arcade mode
much easier. Note that each skater's progress is kept track of seperately
in Arcade Mode. Meaning, the levels you clear with Tony Hawk won't be
cleared for any of the other skaters and so on.

4-1. NEW JERSEY
===============

-----------------   ----------------   -----------------
HIGH SCORE 10,000   PRO SCORE 25,000   SICK SCORE 35,000
-----------------   ----------------   -----------------

The 10,000 is easy enough, just do a couple high scoring combo lines.
Do a few more for the 25,000, and even more for the 35,000. The sidewalks
at the Northern end of the map are good for grinding combo lines. The
Drainage Pools are good for air tricks. This is the easiest level to
get the high score goals.

--------------------    -----------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 5000    SICK COMBO SCORE 15,000
--------------------    -----------------------

Again, use the sidewalks to get the 5000 combo, easy enough. You can
go for the 15,000 while you're going after the C-O-M-B-O goal and get
both at the same time.

-----------------
COLLECT S-K-A-T-E
-----------------

S-On the wooden 1/4 pipe just North of the Yard area, SE corner of map
K-On the South end of the rail between the West bridge and the Drainage
 Pools
A-On the same rail as the K, between the West bridge and Drainage Pools
T-On the divider on the Western bridge
E-Above the wooden ramp between the two houses where you start

-----------------
COLLECT C-O-M-B-O
-----------------

Go to the yard area at the SE end of the map, get some momentum from
the 1/4 pipes at the SE corner, then grind the pipe to get the C, jump
at the top of the ramp and clear the street, then grind as you land on
the pipe at the other end. Keep grinding the pipe to get the O and the
M, then jump at the end and land in a Manual. Manual over to the pipe
with the B on it, this is tricky because you have to make a sharp turn
while in the Manual. It's easier if you jump a little early on the
ramp, so you don't land way past the beginning of the next pipe. Manual
to the B and hit A to start grinding on the next pipe, keep your balance
and jump over the gap, grind as you land and keep your balance to get
the O. Jump off the pipe and land and you've done it.

----------------------------
KICKFLIP THE CHANNEL HOP GAP
----------------------------

Easy enough. From the starting point, skate between the 1/4 pipes
of the Upper Channels, follow the pipe down to the Channel, then
jump over the raised section of the Channel and perform a Kickflip.
The game shows you where to jump at the start. Just check the Tricks
of the skater you're using and perform the Kickflip as you jump. Easy.

-------------------
GET THE 3 PIPE GAPS
-------------------

1. From the starting point, skate to the very East corner of the map,
then head South and you'll see a pipe going down into a big stone sewer.
Grind the pipe, jump the gap to get the PLUMBER'S STRIKE gap indicator
in blue, then land grinding the pipe on the other side.

2. From the PLUMBER'S STRIKE pipe, keep heading South to the Yard area
of the map. Get some momentum from the 1/4 pipe at the very SE end of
the level, then head towards the pipe that had the C on it for the
COMBO goal. Grind it, then jump at the top of the ramp, clear the street
and land grinding the pipe on the concrete to get the CLEAR BACKYARD
blue gap indicator.

3. From the there you can jump any of the 3 other small gaps. The two
in the Upper Channel area, and the one where the COMBO letters were
at the West end of the map. Jump any of them to get the 3 Pipe Gap
goal indicator to pop up.

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

The tape is on top of the house at the very NW corner of the map.
To get up there, use the ramp next to the house to jump up on the roof,
then skate up the West end of the roof and grab the tape spinning in
the air.

=========
4-2. MALL
=========

-----------------     ----------------     -----------------
HIGH SCORE 30,000     PRO SCORE 45,000     SICK SCORE 60,000
-----------------     ----------------     -----------------

The Score goals are easy enough. Just use the two long benches at the
West end of the Food court like in the Story Mode to rack up huge
combos and points. You can probably knock out the score and combo goals
all at once on your first run.

----------------------     -----------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 20,000     SICK COMBO SCORE 30,000
----------------------     -----------------------

Just like the Score combos, use the two long benches with the 1/4 pipes
at each end to rack up huge combo points. Jump up on one of the pipes, do
some air tricks, then revert as you land and manual to the nearest long
bench, grind the bench, fliptrick the gap between the benches, grind
the 2nd bench, manual off of it, over to the other quarter pipe, jump up
and do air tricks on this pipe, revert, manual, grind the pipe, etc etc.

-----------------
COLLECT S-K-A-T-E
-----------------

S- On the West escalator near the entrance
K- On the rail between the two escalators leading to the Stores 1 area
A- On the Cookie Time shop's right side, South of the K
T- West of the A, between the two white benches
E- On the right side of the fountain

-----------------
COLLECT C-O-M-B-O
-----------------

The C is on the Northern escalator of the two that lead down into
the Stores 1 area from the Food Court. Grind the left rail of the
escalator to get the C then jump AS SOON AS YOU GET THE C! Don't grind
the whole rail. You'll land between the end of the escalator and the
fountain, manual as you land and go over to the O, jump up and grind
the SE end of the fountain and you'll grab the O. Jump off the fountain
as you curve towards the long blue bench, jump and manual over to the
bench and grind it to get the M. Jump off the bench and manual North
to the quarter pipe, you need a good amount of speed to keep your balance
and make it up the pipe, aim for the 3rd "piece" of the quarter pipe
and jump at the top of the ramp to snag the B. Spin to land correctly
and Revert as you land, then Manual West, then South, away from the
quarter pipe. Stay close to the bench on the left, but don't grind it.
The O is hanging in the air near the bench, you just have to jump from
the Manual to grab it. Land and you've got the C-O-M-B-O.

-----------------------------------
KICKFLIP THE BETWEEN ESCALATORS GAP
-----------------------------------

This is fairly easy, the only real challenge is lining up the grind.
The game shows you the divider you have to grind on before you start the
level, it's between the two escalators that lead from the food court to
the Stores 1 area below. If you skate at the divider from the North with
a good amount of speed you should be able to grind it right from the
beginning. Jump up and grind it on the level section with the plant in
the middle and as soon as you can, jump and perform the Kickflip (check
your skater's Trick list). If you get the blue BETWEEN ESCALATORS
indicator then you've done it.

--------------------
GET THE 3 SPINE GAPS
--------------------

This is an easy goal, but since the manual doesn't tell you how to
transfer you may get confused. There's three double-sided ramps like
the one the game zooms in on while showing you this goal. The one in
the food court that's shown to you, and the two down in the Stores
areas. 1 South in the Stores 1 section, and 1 North in the Stores 2
section. Just skate up one side of the ramp, hold down R as you do,
and when you get to the top (be sure you're straight, i.e. perpendicular
to the ramp) hit and hold L. You'll do the transfer and get credit for
the gap. Do this on all 3 spine ramps and you'll clear the goal.

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

The tape is floating above the Cookie Time stand in the Southern end
of the level, in the Stores 1 area. To get on top of the stand and snag
the tape, jump from the concrete ramp West of the Cookie Time stand,
up in the Food Court area. It might take a couple tries, use the white
opening in the wall below the ramp as a guideline, don't go North of
it on the ramp. Jump as you reach the top and you'll land on the
white roof of the stand and get the tape.

==============
4-3. WAREHOUSE
==============

-----------------    ----------------    -----------------
HIGH SCORE 50,000    PRO SCORE 70,000    SICK SCORE 90,000
-----------------    ----------------    -----------------

As long as you keep leveling up your skater's stats, the high score
goals are pretty easy in every level. Use the long ramp on the West end
of the level with the ramps, and the rail in the middle of the level to
pull off big scoring combos. You can work on the High Score and Combo
Score goals at the same time.

----------------------    -----------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 35,000    SICK COMBO SCORE 50,000
----------------------    -----------------------

Once again, the West end of the map is good for racking up combo points,
do some air tricks, revert and manual, jump the ramps while fliptricking
and land in a manual, manual over to the rail in the middle of the level
and grind it. You can actually make it all the way across the level in
a manual, or do a run out, and grind the long, small pipes near the
entrance of the level.

-----------------
COLLECT S-K-A-T-E
-----------------

S-On the curb in the North part of the level, by the halfpipe
K-On the part of the long Western 1/4 pipe that curves out from the wall
A-In the air between the two old skool ramps in the West part of the map
T-On the rail in the middle of the level
E-On the Southern-most platform near the level's starting point. Either
jump from the Left Channel or transfer from the ramp below it

-----------------
COLLECT C-O-M-B-O
-----------------

You need to be able to Manual well to complete this combo goal. The
C-O-M are all on the Northern part of the long ramp that makes up the
whole West side of the level. Build up some speed and grind the top
of the ramp, keep your balance and get the C and O, keep grinding to
get the M on the curve. Jump as soon as you get the M and manual as
you land, manual South to the rail and jump up and grind it to get the
B. Stay on the rail until it ends, then jump and head SE and you'll
see the O above the ramp. Keep the Manual going and head up the ramp,
jump at the top and you'll reach the O. The toughest part of this
goal is to keep the Manual going from the rail to the ramp with the
O. Work on your skater's Manual stat to make it much easier.

-----------------------------
HEELFLIP THE NEW SKOOL YO GAP
-----------------------------

The NEW SKOOL YO gap is between the tall ramp up where you start(between
the two channels) and the ramp below it. To clear this goal, skate up the
ramp, don't hold B, and hold L+R to spine transfer. Hold it until your
skater is completely vertical otherwise you won't get credit for the gap,
as soon as your skater is in the right position(hold L+R for a second or
two) quickly hit your skater's Heelflip motion (usually ->+L), then
don't hit anything OR go back to pressing L+R, whichever.

------------------------
GET THE 3 OLD SKOOL GAPS
------------------------

To get the Old Skool Air gap you have to jump the halfpipe in the
North part of the level. Get momentum from grinding down the Right
Channel as you start the level, then hold down B as you approach the
halfpipe, jump at the top and clear the lip of the other side. You'll
get the blue Old Skool Air indicator.

The Old Skool Kicker gap is beween the two ramps at the SW part of
the level. Get momentum from the ramps at the West end, then just jump
off the West ramp and land on the East. Easy.

The last, and toughest one to get is the Old Skool Grind. You need to
have a pretty high Grind stat to pull it off. To nail this one, you
have to grind along almost the entire top of the 1/4 pipe that runs
along the West side of the map, including the part that curves out
away from the wall. Build up some speed and skate up to the top of the
ramp, get almost parallel before hitting A or you'll start a Lip move
instead of grinding. Try to do a grind that's easy to keep your balance
with, like the 50-50. There's nothing else I can really do for you here,
you just need the skills to pull it off...

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

The tape is easy to find, but you need to have a high enough Air
stat to be able to jump up and grab it. The tape is above the Northen
part of the long ramp that takes up the whole West side of the level.
You want to hit the ramp just above the spot where it curves out from
the wall.

=================
5-4. BATTERY PARK
=================

-----------------     ----------------     ------------------
HIGH SCORE 75,000     PRO SCORE 95,000     SICK SCORE 120,000
-----------------     ----------------     ------------------

Using the line that I mention in Story Mode, you can knock out the
three High Score and two Combo Score goals all at once. The line starts
with the West ramp in the Courtyard area(it has the T over it in Arcade
Mode) then goes SE to the long rail, then ends with another ramp at the
SE end. Just keep a combo going back and forth from one ramp, reverting
and manualing, then grind the rail, manual to the next ramp, and on and
on.

----------------------     -----------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 60,000     SICK COMBO SCORE 80,000
----------------------     -----------------------

Again, use the ramp -> rail -> ramp line mentioned above and it's a
snap to get the combo goals. This is also a great place to level up your
skater's stats.

-----------------
COLLECT S-K-A-T-E
-----------------

S-Over the roof in the skate park in the NW section of the level, just
jump from the ramp in front of the building in the skate park

K- Over a bench in the Rockefeller Park section of the map. Right next
to the GRIND HOP GAP from Story Mode

A- On the lowest level of the three steps in Rockefeller Park, just SW
  of the K

T- Over the West 1/4 pipe that you use to clear the OVER THE RAMP gap
in Story Mode. West of the A

E-On the subway ramp in the very SW end of the level

-----------------
COLLECT C-O-M-B-O
-----------------

This is the trickiest COMBO to grab so far. The game shows you where the
C is, so skate to the small ramp that it's floating above in the Eastern
most side of the map, in the Rackafeller Park section. Skate up on the
ramp and grind the top of it, heading North, to get the C, then let
yourself drop down onto the black fence and grind that until you get
the O. As soon as you get the O, jump off the fence. You want to be
heading North, so you have to jump before the fence bends to the East.
Manual up to the wooden ramp below the skate park, turn West just as you
go up the ramp so you'll transfer correctly, jump and grab the M and
transfer over the spine of the ramp into the skate park and revert as you
land to keep the combo going. Quickly manual after the revert and head
North to the white divider that splits the two sections of the skate
park. Grind the section that's level with the ground so you're heading
West, you'll go up the raised section and grab the B at the other end.
Jump off the white divider and manual West to the ramp on the West side
of the skate park entrance. Go up the ramp and jump to reach the O
hanging above it. Since it's so close to the edge, you may need to jump
and land over on the smaller ramp outside of the skate park.

It might take a couple tries, but this is the easiest way to nab the
COMBO letters. If you need to build up your Rail stats to make grinding
easier, just skitch behind the car for awhile until the Rail+1 signs
start popping up on screen. The long street and sidewalk are also ideal
for building up your Manual stat as well.

----------------------------------
AIRWALK THE SCAFFOLDING A LING GAP
----------------------------------

The game shows you the gap you need to jump to clear this goal, it's in
the very North end of the level. You want to jump from the West building
and land on the East building, if try to go East to West you'll hit the
invisible barrier that surrounds the level. To get up on the NW building,
go to the ramp between the two brick buildings, North of the starting
point. Jump and No Comply(if you need) off the ramp and transfer(L+R) onto
the building roof. Then skate NE and transfer over the tall, wooden ramp
onto the next small section of the roof. Get a momentum jump from the small
1/4 pipes surrounding the roof, then skate East and jump the ramp. Start
from the lower end of the ramp so you don't hit the level barrier, then
hit the airwalk command(check your skater, usually dn,dn+R), land on the
other side and that's it.

If you need more Air or Speed, go to the line mentioned numerous times
already to build those up. You can devote a couple entire runs to it
and almost max everything out if you want.

------------------
GET THE 3 LIP GAPS
------------------

The 1st lip to get is the PRETTY HIGH LIP, it's the one the game shows
you in the level intro. Just skate to the ramp between the two brick
buildings, North of the starting point, jump from it towards the roof
you got on to do the AIRWALK THE SCAFFOLDING A LING GAP. Hit your Lip
move command as soon as you jump, NOT as you're getting close to the
roof. If you hit the Lip move command(Dpad direction+A) too late, you'll
do a grind rather than a lip move. So hit the lip command early and
you'll do the lip move on the edge of the roof and score the PRETTY HIGH
LIP.

The second lip is one that you completed in Story Mode. The OPERATION
EYE B lip is on the white rail that's holding the skate park sign in
the NE part of the map. Use the two-sided ramp under either side of the
white rail and hit your lip command as soon as you leave the ramp and
you'll perform a lip move and get the OPERATION EYE B lip gap.

The 3rd lip gap is the VERY HIGH LIP, it's right by the OPERATION EYE
B lip, just North of it. Use the ramp under the building at the very North
end of the map(the one with the ramp you landed on for the AIRWALK goal),
hit your lip command as you leave the ramp and you'll lip move the edge
of the roof and score the VERY HIGH LIP gap. Land and you'll get credit
for completing the 3 LIP GAP goal.

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

The tape is floating above the big ramp in the subway section of the
map. You can either jump UP from below the ramp to get on the building
with the tape above it(Hidden Subway Air gap) or you can use the ramps
in between the two brick buildings North of the starting point. Transfer
onto the South building, then transfer onto the higher ledge of the
building and skate SW towards the ramp.

Once you're on the building, near the ramp with the tape above it,
gather some speed and use the tall wood ramps on the West side of the
building to jump off the tall building, grab the tape, and land in
the subway section below(Hidden Subway Air gap).

------------------     -----------------     ------------------
HIGH SCORE 100,000     PRO SCORE 140,000     SICK SCORE 160,000
------------------     -----------------     ------------------

Use the 1/2 bowl in the NW part of the map, under the multi-story
building to rack up huge points quickly. Just do air tricks, revert
and manual back up the ramp, more air tricks, repeat.

----------------------     ------------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 75,000     SICK COMBO SCORE 100,000
----------------------     ------------------------

Same as above. Use the 1/2 bowl in the NW corner of the map to
combo together air tricks. You can also use the long white and red
rails right by the 1/2 bowl to throw in some grinds.

-----------------
COLLECT S-K-A-T-E
-----------------

S-Over the Eastern ramp in the Northern section of the Projects area

K-Over the ramp between the two black ENTER pillars in the Stadium Lot
section in the NE area of the level

A-Above the ramp on the 1st section of the Residential building(Jolly
 Roger gap)

T-On the middle section of the 2nd level of the Residential building,
don't grind the ledge, just skate over and grab it then head for the
ramp on the West side of the level you're on

E-Above the ramp on the West side of the tallest section of the
Residential building. After getting the T, jump up from the ramp on
the same level, onto the highest level and you'll nab the E on your
 way up.

-----------------
COLLECT C-O-M-B-O
-----------------

Jump the IT'S FOR PROTECTION gap and grind the rail that the C is on
(the game shows you in the intro), jump the gap and grind the next rail
until it turns North then jump off and do a Run Out. Run North to the O
that's next to the bench, then hit B and quickly Manual to keep the combo
going. Manual to the M to the NE, near the white and red rail. Jump onto
the white and red rail and grind it heading East and get the B. Grind the
rail until it ends, then jump and manual towards the ramp right by the
rail, manual up it and jump to get the O. Land and you'll get the COMBO.

------------------------------
AIRWALK THE CLASSICAL PUNK GAP
------------------------------

You have to have your skater's Air stat pretty full to complete this
goal, so if you're not at the point where you have to do 15 Grab Tricks
in a combo to level it up, devote a couple runs to just leveling. Then
go into the Projects area and get a momentum building jump from the
West ramp, quickly turn around and head towards the ramp again, aiming
close to, but not right next to, the raised concrete channel that leads
out of the Projects onto the street. You want to hit the ramp at an
angle so you get enough height to clear the concrete exit and also have
enough speed to make it across to the East ramp(the one that had the
S in SKATE on it). While in the air, do the Airwalk(dn,dn+R), land on
the other ramp and you've cleared it.

------------------
GET THE 3 AIR GAPS
------------------

The three Air gaps are between the wooden ramps that surround the
Projects area of the map. The game shows you the 2nd one you need to get.
The first one on the South side of the projects. From the starting point,
skate East along the bottom road and you'll see the two wooden ramps, skate
past them then turn around and jump them coming back towards the West.
You'll get the IT'S FOR PROTECTION blue indicator showing you you cleared
the gap, then follow the sidewalk and railing as it turns North. Jump
the next set of ramps(the one the game shows you) and get the PROTECTION
FROM WHO? gap. Turn East at the intersection and you'll come to the 3rd
set of ramps, jump them and get the ZEE SKATERS? gap and complete the
goal.

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

In the Bronx, the tape is above the West black ENTER pillar(just left
of where you grab the K in SKATE). Get some speed and jump from one of
the ramps next to the black pillar, towards the tape, onto the top of
the pillar.

4-6. HANGAR

------------------     -----------------     ------------------
HIGH SCORE 130,000     PRO SCORE 155,000     SICK SCORE 180,000
------------------     -----------------     ------------------

Just like in Story Mode, use the halfpipe in the North end of the
Hangar to build up your skater's stats and knock out the High Score
goals. Air Tricks->Revert, Manual->Air Tricks is your mantra for this.

----------------------     ------------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 90,000     SICK COMBO SCORE 125,000
----------------------     ------------------------

See above. Combo together a big bunch of air tricks with reverts and
manuals and you'll have the combo goals in no time. You can probably
get them all in one run.

-----------------
COLLECT S-K-A-T-E

 ramp on the West wall
T-On the large wooden platform in the Southern part of the level
E-Just North of the dividing wall in the middle of the level, above the
 ramp on the East wall

-----------------
COLLECT C-O-M-B-O
-----------------

Skate up onto the raised platform with the C, grind on the rail the
C is on heading SW. Get the C then manual at the end of the rail(don't
jump), manual up onto the ramp that's in the center of the dividing
wall and jump at the top. Hold L+R so you'll Spine Transfer and grab
the O, revert as you land from the transfer and quickly go back into
a manual. Manual SW up onto the raised platform with the three rails
running across it. Manual to the middle one and grind towards the M,
grab it and jump into a Manual. Manual West towards the B, jump and
grind the top of the ramp that makes up the West wall of the level,
get the B and keep your balance and you'll grind around to where the
O is on the South end of the level. Jump down and you'll clear the
goal.

------------------------------
ROCKET AIR THE FLYIN' HIGH GAP
------------------------------

The FLYIN' HIGH gap is the spine transfer over the middle part of the
big diving wall in the center of the level. Just skate up one end and
jump, hold L+R until your skater is vertical, then quickly hit the
Rocket Air command(up,up+R) and land and you'll clear the goal.

-------------------
GET THE 3 BLEH GAPS
-------------------

The 3 BLEH! gaps are actually grinds. The game shows you the first
one. Skate up the small ramp onto the raised platform just North of the
big dividing wall and grind the rail in the middle of it. You'll get
the 1st BLEH!

The DOUBLE BLEH is the toughest one to get. You have to grind 3/4's
of the outer ramp that surrounds the level, starting from either the
NW or NE end. You have to start near the edge, then grind all the way
around until you get past the dividing wall in the center. There aren't
any tricks or anything to make this easier...just build up your Rail and
Speed stats and keep trying. Get up some speed near the ends of the rail,
then start grinding, try to get a 50-50 or easy grind to balance.

The TRIPLE BLEH is kinda tricky to get as well. You have to grind
most of the highest rail on the NW wall of the level(the one with the
hidden tape on it), heading SW, then jump down and land on the DOUBLE
BLEH rail. Jump and No Comply up to the railing and hit A as you get
near it on the way up to start grinding it, then jump at the very end
and hit A again near the surrounding DOUBLE BLEH rail. Jump as the rail
curves to the East to land in the SW corner for an easy end to the
grinding.

This is definitely one of the hardest goals to get in the game, just
build up your stats in the halfpipe for a couple of runs
and keep trying.

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

The tape is right by the K in SKATE, floating above the ramp that
makes up the West wall of the level, near the halfpipe in the Northern
part of the map. Just build up enough speed and jump and No Comply up
to grab it.

-----------------------     ------------------------
PRO COMBO SCORE 120,000     SICK COMBO SCORE 150,000

that gives you a Lip Gap bonus(like the ramp in front of the Kiosk)
for more points.

The C is up on the building rooftop in the NW corner of the level. Use
the ramp at the West end of the main street, on the North side. Jump from
the street level, up to the ramp on the rooftop and get the C. Revert and
manual East and grind the rail with the O, stay on the rail as it curves
NE. Don't jump, manual when the ramp ends and manual up the ramp just
NE of the rail, jump and spine transfer over the two sided ramp and grab
the M. Revert on the way down and manual, grind the right rail up the
multi-level ramp, then manual at the end. If you can't manage to grind
the rail AND make it over to the ramp with the B, do a run out and run
up the multi-level ramp then get back on your board in front of the
ramp and manual. Go up the ramp and jump and get the B, transfer and
revert on the other side, then manual to the O directly NE of the B.
Jump up the ramp and grab the B, land and you'll complete the combo.

--------------------------------
NOSEBLUNTSIDE THE DINO GRIND GAP
--------------------------------

The Dino Grind is the concrete oval with the big dinosaur in the
middle in the North end of the Promenade area. Jump on the rail and
do the Nose Bluntside grind(up,up+A) around the concrete oval a couple
times and the blue DINO GRIND indicator will show up. Jump off the
rail and land.

--------------------
GET THE 3 SPINE GAPS
--------------------

The 3 Spine gaps are the SPINE AL TAP gaps that you had to get in
Story Mode. The first one is on the NW end of the Beachfront area,
next to the ramp leading down into the Beachfront. From the 1st one,
go South to the next two-sided ramp that's right by the water, then
follow the wooden walkway to the 3rd two-sided ramp, the one right by
the wide wooden bridge that leads to the Weights section.

--------------------
FIND THE HIDDEN TAPE
--------------------

The hidden tape is right next to the last O in the COMBO goal. Go
up on the roof that the COMBO letters were on, and skate to the North
end. You need to jump off the North ramp heading East(FRY KOOK gap) off
the building, grab the tape and that's it.

some decent combos, they don't even have to be big 200,000+ ones, just
easy 100-150,000 pointers. Do a few of them and get the high score.

to get the M and keep grinding it until it turns back to the East. Jump
and grind the short black rail with the B, jump just before the B so
you'll still pick up the B up, but won't overshoot the next rail.
Land on the outer black rail and you'll grind NE and get the last O.
Jump and do a Run Out to be sure you land the combo.

---------------------------------
VARIAL KICKFLIP THE LUBE BOAT GAP
---------------------------------

This is an easy goal. The game shows you the gap you have to get. You
either have to jump from the ramp on the lower part of the boat and land
on the concrete ramp in the fountain area, or vice versa. I think it's
easier to go from the boat to the fountain ramp. It's not that hard to
make it from the boat, as long as you have enough speed and don't mess
up the angle too much you'll make it across. Do the Varial Kickflip(dl+L)
while in the air, land the jump and the blue THE LUBE BOAT gap indicator
will pop up.

------------------
GET THE 3 TEA GAPS
------------------

To get the 3 Tea gaps, you just have to do a Lip move on the ramps at

transfer again, this time onto or near the wide rail on the left with

the M. You probably need to catch some speed now, so if you're going slow
do a run out and line yourself up just South of the B that's on the top
of the ramp that makes up the North wall. Manual up and grind the top
of the rail, jump to get the B, and then keep grinding to get the last O.
Jump and do a Run Out to insure a safe landing and that's it!

-------------------------------------
VARIAL HEELFLIP THE OVER THE PIPE GAP
-------------------------------------

Easy enough, the OVER THE PIPE gap is the gap you get when jumping from
the outside of one side of the flagpole halfpipe to the outside of the
other. Just build up speed and skate at it heading West since it's easier
to land that way, and jump and do the Varial Heelflip(dl+L) and then hold
up to make landing easier(let go of L though!)

-------------------------
GET THE THREE MONKEY GAPS
-------------------------

MONKEY SEE is the gap from the East side of the ramp that the T was on,
over the next section to the East and landing on the ramp below. Each
MONKEY gap has you jumping over a small section of the level.

MONKEY HEAR is from the ramp West of the higher set of stairs in the
NW, to the ramp down by the stairs near the starting point.

MOMOMONKEY DO is the gap over the channel in the South part of the map,
from the ramp that had the first O in combo on it to the ramp East of
the channel, or vice versa.

you need to beat Arcade Mode with every pro skater...yeah, that's alot
of playing...

========================================================================
5.                     STORY MODE WALKTHROUGH
========================================================================

Story Mode is the main portion of the game. You start out as a punk
and aspire to be a pro in the skater world. You do this by completing
various goals in each of the 10 main levels. To start attempting a goal
you have to skate up to someone on the level and hit L to talk to them,
they'll lay down the challenge and you have to accomplish it. Nothing
terribly new here, it's just presented in a different manner than the
other Tony Hawk games.

The other difference in Story Mode is that you have to build up your
skater's stats by performing certain feats, like grinding for 3 seconds
or performing 3 flip tricks in a combo, etc. You can look in the Skater
Progress section of the pause menu to see how to increase your stats.
It's always a good idea to work on your stats in between goals, as it
will make the later goals of a level much easier.

You also need to keep your skater protected and energized in Story
Mode. You have to buy a helmet and pads so you don't get dazed after
a nasty fall. If you get dazed while trying to clear a goal, you
automatically fail the goal. The energy drink and sports drink will
give your skater energy, this helps with speed as well as keeping you
from getting dazed. Gear and food can be purchased in the Skate Shop
on the Pause Menu.

QUICK TIP: Before any Competition, Save the game so if you mess up
you can just load your save and try again.

==========
NEW JERSEY
==========

The first map, and the beginning of the game. You start out weak in
all categories and have to do the first 4 goals in order, then you're
free to take on the other goals in whatever order, although certain
goals have to be cleared before some become available to attempt.

-----------------------
LEARNING STATS TUTORIAL
-----------------------

Objective: Increase Rail Stats

After the journal post, you start out in front of your house, skate
East to Benny and talk to him. Look on the Pause Menu under Skater
Progress -> Stats and you'll see you need to grind for 2 seconds to
increase your Rail stat. The wooden rail right next to you and Benny is
an easy spot to do this. You don't want to go too fast because the rail
isn't that long. Go to one end of the rail and skate towards it, grind it,
keeping your balance on the balance meter, and you'll see +1 Rail on the
left side of the screen. Get two of those and you'll learn a new grind.
You can also grind the sidewalk.

Go back to Benny and he'll take your picture. Go save at the little
post just SE of Benny (by the rail you just grinded on) and then go
back and talk to Benny again.

------------------------
LEARNING TRICKS TUTORIAL
------------------------

Objective: Learn Kickflip

To learn the kickflip you have to perform 2 flip tricks in a combo.
Easy enough. The only trick you know is the Pop Shove It(up+L) so go
to the ramp just NW of Benny(next to the wooden rail), skate towards
it, jump at the top of the ramp and hit up+L twice. You'll learn the
Shove It(dn+L) from this. Now you need to perform 3 Flip tricks in
a combo. Using the same ramp, jump on it once but don't hit anything
so you'll gain momentum, skate out to the street then turn around,
hold B as you go up the ramp, let go at the top and perform the
three flip tricks. This will get you the Kickflip.

Go back and talk to Benny, save, then go talk to him again.

----------------
RUN OUT TUTORIAL
----------------

Objective: Perform a Run Out

Easy one here. Just jump and hit A twice to do a run out. Hit B to
get back on your board.

-----------------
PAINTED SIDEWALKS
-----------------

Objective: Grind the Sidewalk Grind

Before you can save, your mom asks you to tell the painter to paint
your house number on the sidewalk. He's right by where Benny was, but a
little further SE and in a white suit. Skate up to him and talk. The
clock starts at 12:00 and you have until 12:15 to grind the Sidewalk
Grind and keep your 5 bucks. The sidewalk you have to grind is shown to
you, it's the small stretch right in front of the painter. Skate to the
SE side of it, jump to it and hit A to grind, then just keep your balance
on the balance meter. Getting up some speed beforehand will make the
grind easier, not that it's that hard anyway.

Once you make the grind, you get a picture and the Neighbor's House
area opens up. From here the level is pretty open ended. Check the GOALS
section in Skater Progress to see which goals you can try(white). You can
basically do them in whatever order, but some are easier than others.
Take some time to build up your stats, and don't forget to buy some gear
to protect yourself from falls. Once you get $20, buy the used Helmet
and Pads.

-----------------
WANDER CAUTIOUSLY
-----------------

Objective: Find all the S-K-A-T-E letters

The thug to the West of your house, on sidewalk at the corner, has
this goal. Talk to him and he'll tell you to collect all the letters in
the word SKATE. In order to do so, you'll have to walk in some parts
that you can't skate in yet. Here's a letter by letter break down:

S-NW of the K, on the sidewalk near the neighbor's house
K-West of the Save Point, on the widewalk
A-South of the K, on the street by your house
T-From the thug who gives you the goal, walk SE. On a wooden ramp
E-From the T, keep walking SE. On a pipe

Clear this goal and you can skate in the Upper Channels region.

--------------------
DOLLY PARTS N PIECES
--------------------

Objective: Find the pieces of Dolly before 8:00

Stephanie is in the Upper Channels region after you clear the Wander
Cautiously goal, right by the pipe that goes through the middle of the
area. Talk to her and she'll tell you about her doll, here's where the
pieces are(note that you don't have to get them in this order):

1. SE of Stephanie, on a wooden ramp
2. NW of Stephanie, on the corner near the Neighbor's House
3. On the wooden porch of your house, just NW of the Save Point
4. Along the sidewalk, SE from the Save Point. Just grind down the
   sidewalk from piece number 3.

Once you have all the pieces, skate back to Stephanie and hit L, you
get a dollar.

----------------------
IMPRESSIVE...NOT QUITE
----------------------

Objective: Perform a Pop Shove It -> Revert -> Manual combo

Skate over to the newly opened Neighbor Area to the NW and talk to
Larry. He wants you to perform a Pop Shove It -> Revert -> Manual combo.
The easiest way is to use the half pipe Larry is standing on. Jump off
one side, perform the Pop Shove It(up+L), hit R as you land, then
quickly hit up/dn to perform the manual. I usually jump to stop the
combo, when you land you'll clear the goal and get a picture.

Now the Drainage Pools area is open to you as well.

----------------
WHERE'S MY KEYS?
----------------

Objective: Find Larry's Keys (11:30-12:00)

Talk to Larry at the Neighbor's House and he'll tell you he lost his
keys in the Drainage Pools. Skate down the ramp on the very West side of
the map, go past the big bridge, then turn to the East and go to the
drainage pools, the keys are on the lip between the two. You can either
jump down into the pools and jump over the lip, or grind around the
lip of one of the pools to get the keys. I think it's easier, and
quicker, to grind around the lip and get them. Once you have them skate
back to Larry(or just go into an area where you can't skate yet and
you'll get reset back at your house, near Larry).

Once you're done you get $10.

----------
HIGH SCORE
----------

Objective: Score 5000 points by 7:20

Once the Drainag Pools area is open, skate down to them(SE of the
Bridge) and talk to Bev. Her first challenge for you is to score 5000
points before the clock reaches 7:20. The easiest way to accomplish
this is to just use the pools to perform Flip tricks, then Revert as
you land, Manual, then jump and do an easy Flip trick. Do this a
couple times (or just once if you can pull off enough moves) and you'll
have the 5000 in no time.

Clear the goal and Stephanie moves to the next Drainage Pool for the
TRICKED OUT GAP goal. I suggest you take on a couple other goals and
build up your stats before tackling that one.

-----------------
RANDY'S CHALLENGE
-----------------

Objective: Perform a Varial by 1:30.

Randy is just SW of Andy in the Upper Channels area, talk to him and
he tells you to do a varial and he'll let you skate the bridge. If you
don't have the Varial yet, work on your Air stat until you learn it,
then go back and talk to Randy again. Use the halfpipe just North of
Randy to do the Varial(Right+A), do a momentum jump first if you need
then jump again and do the varial to clear the goal. You have to spin
a little to land the varial.

When you clear the goal you can skate the bridge, and you get a
stone that Randy found under the bridge.

--------------------
NOSEGRIND IF YOU CAN
--------------------

Objective: Perform a Nosegrind by 11:40.

Once you clear the DOLLY'S PARTS N PIECES goal, Andy shows up in the
Upper Channels region. He's on the long wooden plank, where one of the
Dolly pieces was before. Talk to him and he tells you to Nosegrind. If
you don't have the Nosegrind yet, you need to build up your Grind stat.
Once you have it, it's the up+A grind. Just use the pipe West of Andy
to Nosegrind and that's that.

Once you clear the goal Andy tells you to see Randy in the Upper
Channels section before you can skate on the bridge. He's just SW of
Andy.

------------
TWO GAP DARE
------------

Objective: Jump the In and Out Gaps of the Upper Channel before midnight

Once the Bridge area is open after RANDY'S CHALLENGE, Andy will be
standing just South of the NW bridge. Talk to him and he tells you
to jump the gaps of the Upper Channel, for $10. Use the quarter pipe
right next to Andy to jump the gaps, if you're having trouble build up
your Air stat then come back and talk to Andy again. Get a momentum
jump from the 1/4 pipe opposite the one you're using to jump, then
skate at an angle towards the gap and jump as you reach the top of the
pipe. Turn in the air so you're facing the right way to land and if
the CHANNEL IN indicator pops up then you've cleared it. To clear the
second CHANNEL OUT gap, go SE to the quarter pipe opposite the gap, do
another momentum jump, then come at the gap going West (towards Andy),
at an angle and jump at the top of the pipe, turn in the air, and
land on the other side. If you're having trouble, again, go build up
your Air stat. When you need to perform 5 grabs in a combo to increase
the stat then you have enough air to clear this goal.

Clear the gaps and you get the $10.

---------------
COMBO CHAMELEON
---------------

Objective: Perform a 5 trick como by 10:00

Skate to the very SW part of the map and you'll see James. Talk to him
and he'll challenge you to perform a 5 trick combo. The quickest way is
to use the ramp next to James to the West. Jump and do a couple flip
tricks in the air, revert as you land, then manual, then jump and do a
flip trick on the ground. Simple enough.

-----------
GARBAGE DAY
-----------

Objective: Find all 5 garbage cans before 7:00

The thug South of the Eastern bridge has this goal. Talk to him and
he'll ask you to knock over the garbage cans. There's 5.

1-West of the Thug, by the stop sign
2-Between the southern end of the drainage pools, West of the 1st can
3-Western end of the map, West from 2nd can, on the street
4-West of the Save Point, by your house
5-North of the Eastern bridge, by Larry, SE of Can 4

Once you get all 5, the thug gives you the stone.

---------------
TRICKED OUT GAP
---------------

Objective: Grind one pool, jump the Pool Grind Hop, Indy, land grinding
           the other pool before 5:30.

Talk to Bev in the Eastern pool after completing the HIGH SCORE goal
and she'll give you this goal. Build up some momentum in the pool then
skate to the Northern end, don't jump, and hit A as you get near the
lip. If you're going fast enough you should start a grind instead of
doing a Lip move. Grind towards the gap, and just before the lip starts
to curve jump, then quickly Indy (<-+R) and hit A to grind again as
you land on the edge of the other pool. Your Air and Grind stats
should be levelled up a couple times before attempting this goal.

Clear the goal and Bev gives you an arrowhead.

-----------
COMPETITION
-----------

Objective: Get the gold medal in three 30 second heats

Get the two Competition Vouchers from the MISSING STOREFRONT LIP and
INFAMOUS SAM goals in the Mall level and have $30, and you can compete
in the amateur competition in New Jersey. Skate to the Yard in the SE
corner of the map and talk to the official to start.

You have 30 seconds to rack up a high score. The easiest way to do
this is to use the pipe at the Southern end of the Yard, grind it,
jump the CLEAR BACKYARD gap with a fliptrick or two, grind the pipe
you land on(if you have a SPecial grind, use it here) and keep your
balance across the whole thing, then jump at the end and go into a
Manual, Manual over to the Western pipe and grind it, jump the small
gap in it while fliptricking, grind again, then jump the ramp and
land in a Manual and perform another fliptrick out of it. This
should get you enough points in one combo to come in first in all
three heats and win the gold. You need about 45,000 points in each
heat to get first.

Win the competition and you get a laptop and $150, and Bob Burnquist
comes to congratulate you. He gets unlocked for Arcade Mode and the
Battery Park level gets unlocked for both Story and Arcade Mode.

-------------
IMPRESS LASEK
-------------

Objective: 50-50, Nosegrab, and Varial in 1 combo

When the Yard is opened up after clearing the HIGH COMBO SCORE goal,
find Benny in the SE corner of the map, near the big wooden funbox and
he'll tell you about Bucky Lasek. To impress him you need to perform a
50-50 Grind (A), a Nosegrab(up+R), and a Varial(->+R) in one combo.
Use the 1/4 pipe SE of Benny to jump and quickly perform the Varial
and Nosegrind, Revert as you land and do a Manual, Manual over to either
the pipe on the ground or the wooden funbox and hit A to start the
50-50 grind. Jump off and you'll clear the goal.

You get a cutscene with Bucky talking to you. This unlocks Lasek to
use in Arcade mode and you can use his Specials as well.

----------------
HIGH COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Perform a 2000 point combo by 10:00

Richard is South of the Drainage Pools after you complete the COMBO
HIGH SCORE goal. He's on the street near the Yard area. In order to
start this goal you need to have the two rocks you get from the
GARBAGE DAY and RANDY'S CHALLENGE goals. Pulling off the 2000 point
combo by now is easy as pie. There's a couple good grinding pipes
right around Richard that are good for this goal. Just jump and grind
one of them, then jump again and perform a flip trick, into a Manual
and that should be enough.

Once you complete the goal Richard will let you use the Yard area.

----------------
COMBO THE BRIDGE
----------------

Objective: Get all the C-O-M-B-O letters in a combo

After you clear RANDY'S CHALLENGE and TWO GAP DARE, Randy will be
standing South of the Western bridge. Talk to him and he'll tell you
to finish his line. That just means you have to collect all the COMBO
letters in one combo. To do this, skate NE towards the bridge and grind
the divider in the middle to get the C and the O, then jump and Manual
on the street to get the M and continue to the sidewalk to the NE. Jump
and grind on the sidewalk heading East and get the B, then jump as the
sidewalk ends to get the O, land and the combo is done. If you're
having trouble getting the Manual to last, build up your Manual stat
then try again, or try jumping and going back into a manual.

Clear it and you get the picture and that's that.

---------------
VERBAL RAN AWAY
---------------

Objective: Find Verbal the monkey before 6:00

Talk to Macy in the Yard, she's where Benny was for the IMPRESS LASEK
goal, and she'll tell you about her monkey Verbal. This is a tough
goal to write about, since the monkey runs around the level. The easiest
way I've found to do it is to stay on the street near the Yard and keep
skating from the West to Eastern end. Eventually the monkey will run
down the street and you can get him. From what I've seen he stays on
the roads, so it's not too hard to get him once you've spotted him.

Clear this goal and you get $40 and the Mall level opens up, you'll
start in the Mall after the little journal post so you'll need to Save
and switch levels to come back and win the COMPETITION goal left in
the NEW JERSEY level once it's possible.

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score 1000, 2000, 4000, 6000, then 8000 point combos

After you complete the COMBO CHAMELEON goal, James will be on the
street SE of your house. Skate to him and he'll challenge you to a game
of horse. All you have to do is score 1000, 2000, 4000, 6000, then 8000
points in a combo. The easiest way to do this is to use the sidewalks
near your house at the very Northern end of the level. Just grind on
them, jumping to do flip tricks, and Manual the spaces between them.
If you miss a combo you get a letter, if you spell out HORSE you fail
the goal. You should have a Special grind by now, use it here!

Once you win you get $2. You can do this as many times as you need
to get some money.

=========
5-2. MALL
=========

The Western end of the Food Court area is great for building up your
stats. You can combo tons of stuff by using the 1/4 pipes at each end
with the two long benches in between.

-------------------
SIGNING CHUCK'S GAP
-------------------

Objective: Clear the ENTRANCE CLEARANCE gap by 7:00

Chuck is just West of the Mall entrance, talk to him and he'll tell
you to clear the entrance gap. The only thing that makes this goal a
little difficult is the small amount of room near the entrance. You
want to be heading towards the entrance as you talk to Chuck, go on the
right side of the small bench, then hold down B and approach the 1/4
pipe on the left side of the entrance at an angle, let go of B as you
hit the top of the ramp and you should clear the gap no problem. Spin
so you land correctly and that's that.

After clearing, save.

-----
SKATE
-----

Objective: Collect the S-K-A-T-E letters by 4:00

Chuck moves to the opposite side of the entrance landing, so go to
him and he'll tell you to collect SKATE down in the food court. Skate
over to the Western stairs to start:

S-Top of the West stairs
K-On the West stairs
A-South of the West stairs, on top of a ramp
T-On the ramp opposite of the A
E-SW corner of the Food Court, above a ramp

For the K and A, run to the ramps they're on, then get on your board
and grab them. Get off if you can, or just start at the entrance again
and jump back down. Get off your board and run to the SW corner then get
on again and jump up for the E.

Clear the goal and you can skate freely in the food court area.

--------------------
KERRY'S A SHOPAHOLIC
--------------------

Objective: Find 5 shopping bags

Kerry is standing betweent he two sets of stairs. Talk to her and she
tells you about the 5 bags she's left around the mall:

1. Above the ramp next to Kerry, to the North
2. West of Kerry, on a bench at the West end of the map
3. South of the 2nd bag, on the next bench down
4. On the two sided ramp that the T in SKATE was on, East of Bag 3
5. On the ramp opposite the one with Bag 4, where the A was in SKATE

Go back to Kerry and talk to her, she'll give you $10.

---------------
PRO COMBO SCORE
---------------

Objective: Perform a 5000 point Combo

Talk to Chad in the yellow shirt for this goal. He's at the SE corner
of the food court. He'll tell you to perform a 5000 point combo to allow
you to skate in the Stores 1 area. Use the long benches on the West end
of the food court to pull off and easy 5000 combo.

Even when you clear the goal Chad can't get you in with the people in
the Stores 1 area. Bummer.

-------------
COLLECT COMBO
-------------

Objective: Collect the C-O-M-B-O letters in one combo

After clearing the PRO COMBO SCORE goal, go back and talk to Chad
again, in the same spot, and he'll tell you to get the COMBO letters.
The letters run along the two long benches at the West end of the Food
Court. If you've been building up your stats here then this will be a
piece of cake. Get a momentum jump from the 1/4 pipe at the SW end of
the map, then jump on and grind the first bench with the C and O, then
jump the gap and get the M. If you have enough Air and Speed stat to
clear the gap then just land and grind the next bench, otherwise land in
a Manual, then jump onto the next bench. Grind and get the B and O on the
2nd bench and that's it.

Clear the goal and you can skate in the Store 1 area.

-------------
IMPRESS MUSKA
-------------

Objective: Kickflip, Tailgrab and Nosegrind in 1 combo

Once you clear the KERRY'S A SHOPAHOLIC goal she moves close to the
West stairs. Talk to her to start this goal.  Skate to the 1/4 on the
left side of the West stairs and jump and perform the Kickflip (<-+L)
and Tailgrab(dn+R), then Revert(R) as you land, Manual over to one of
the benches and jump up and do the Nosegrind(up+A). Jump off and land
and you'll clear the goal.

You get a cutscene with Chad Muska and he'll be unlocked to use in
Arcade Mode, and you can select from his specials.

---------
CART RACE
---------

Objective:

After you've cleared the IMPRESS MUSKA goal Michaeal is standing in
the food court West of the MO-MO SMOOTHIE shop. Talk to him to start
the cart race. You have to get through all the checkpoints within the
time limit. They look like the red warp arrows.

1. West of the starting point
2. Go South of 1, near the big plant
3. On the other side of the big plant, near the person in yellow
4. Head East along the Southern end of the map and you'll see checkpoint
  4 near a long bench
5. Keep heading East along the bottom of the map from 4 and turn near the
railing, checkpoint 5 is near the next long bench
6. Head North from checkpoint 5, 6 is on the other end of the same bench.
7. Keep going North and go between the two big plants, head towards the
MO-MO SMOOTHIE, 7 is next to it.
8. Go North from checkpoint 7, number 8 is left of the East stairs
9. Go up the ramp just NE of checkpoint 8 and jump and you'll get the
  last one.

Clear the goal and the Stores 2 section of the Mall opens up.

---------
PRO SCORE
---------

Objective: Score 10,000 points by 12:00

The guard right next to the escalator/stairs that you had to grind for
the GRINDIN'THE STAIRS goal has this goal. Talk to him and he'll ask to
see you get 10,000 point before noon. This is easy since you should be
able to pull off 10,000 combos by now.(If not, build up your stats in
the Food Court area) Use the 1/4 pipes at the East end of the map to
start a combo, performing 3 or 4 fliptricks in the air, then Revert as
you land and grind a bench or the fountain. You can keep going and going
but a couple short, high scoring combos like this will get you the 10Gs
in a short time.

You get nothing for completing this goal, hmph.

----------------
FOUNTAIN RAILING
----------------

Objective: 5-0 around the fountain by 4:00

Another easy goal. After completing the PRO SCORE goal the guard moves
East from the stairs over to the fountain in the Stores 2 area. Talk to
him and he'll tell you to 5-0 the founatin before 4:00. Just skate
towards the fountain and jump, hit dn+A to perform the 5-0 grind, and
keep your balance until you see the FOUNTAIN GRIND in blue pop up.
You can use one of the ramps nearby to gain some speed to make this
easier as well.

Clear this objective and the Warehouse opens up.

---------------
SMASH THE BOXES
---------------

Objective: Smash the  boxes around the mall by 8:30

Talk to Darin again after completing the SICK COMBO SCORE goal, he's
still in the South section of the Stores 1 area, and he'll tell you to
smash all the boxes before 8:30.

1,2- On the bench just West of Darin
3-   On top of the two-sided ramp South of Darin
4-   South of the two-sided ramp Box 3 is on, on the ground
5-   On the blue bench just East of Box 4
6-   Above the ramp in front of the Cookie Time shop, East of Darin

Get all of them and Darin gives you $20

----------------
SICK COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Score 15,000 points in a combo

Go to the South end of the Stores 1 area once it's open and Darin is
standing by the COOKIE TIME shop. Talk to him and he'll give you this
goal. The small halfpipe right next to Darin is a good place to perform
the combo, using air tricks, reverting then manualing to the other side,
jumping and tricking, etc etc until you get the 15,000. There's a couple
long rails around you, too. You only get a few minutes to try, so the
halfpipe is usually your best bet. Don't do any long, fancy fliptricks
in the air, just do some Kickflips, then a few Heelflips on the other
side, and so on. Going back and forth between the two sides of the
twice should get you enough points.

You get nothing for clearing this goal, bah!

--------------------------
THE MISSING STOREFRONT LIP
--------------------------

Objective: Axle Stall on the lip before 12:00

Once you complete the SICK COMBO SCORE goal, Chuck shows up just South
of Darin. Talk to him to get this goal, the lip is the one South of him.
You should have the Axle Stall by now, if not go work on your Lip stat
until you get it, then come back. Just skate up up the ramp, hit <-+A
at the top and hold it for a second, then drop back down.

Chuck gives you a voucher for the Competition goal in the New Jersey
level once you've cleared this goal.

-------------------
GRINDIN' THE STAIRS
-------------------

Objective: 50-50 Grind the Last Escalator grind by 9:00

Micheal is standing at the East end of the Food Court, right next to
the escalator he wants you to grind. This is an easy one, just skate
towards the Escalator, jump and hit A to 50-50 grind it all the way
down, keeping your balance, and land on the floor. That's it.

------------
INFAMOUS SAM
------------

Objective:

After completing the THE MISSING STOREFRONT LIP goal, Sam appears in
the NE part of the Stores 2 area. He tells you to hit the Famous Air and
shows you where it is. To get there, skate back to the stairs that go up
into the Food Court area, run up them, then build up some speed and jump
over the small blue 1/4 pipe just North of the stairs. Skate to the
big ramp at the North end of the map and jump off it heading East. Land
the jump on the smaller ramp below(it's wide, so this isn't hard) and
you'll clear the goal.

Sam gives you the second Competition Voucher and you get another journal
post screen.

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Complete a 2000, 4000, 7000, 10,000, and 15,000 point combo

Once you clear the GRINDIN' THE STAIRS goal, Micheal moves over to
the West end of the Food Court area, between a big plant and the MOMO
SMOOTHIE shop. Talk to him and he'll tell you to perform the combos
starting with the 2000 pointer. They're pretty easy up to the 15,000
point one. Use the West Food Court area with the two long benches and
1/4 on each end to make your combos. Do 3 or 4 tricks in the air on a
ramp, Revert as you land, then Manual to one of the benches, jump on
and grind(do a fliptrick while grinding if you can), fliptrick over the
gap between the benches and grind the next bench(another fliptrick here
if possible) then don't jump but Manual as you land off the 2nd bench,
Manual to the 1/4 pipe and jump and do a couple fliptricks in the air.
Keep doing this and you'll clear the goal in no time.

Perform all the combos and you'll get $5. You can do this goal as
many times as you want for some money.

==============
5-3. WAREHOUSE
==============

This is a quick, classic level with only 4 goals. It's one big wide
open area so there's no zones or anything.

----------
SPRAY CANS
----------

Objective: Collect 5 spray paint cans by 3:15

From the starting point, skate SW and you'll see Rob. He tells you to
collect the 5 spray paint cans by 3:15.

1-Go NE from Rob, the can is by the North wide opening. Head back to Rob.

2-Skate down the wide opening next to Rob, then turn around and skate up
the ramp South of the opening, transfer on top of it and grab the can.

3-Jump back down from getting Can 2 and skate West, over the wood on the
floor, grind the rail just West of the wood to get Can 3.

4-From the rail with Can 3, keep going West to the big 1/4 pipe against
the West end of the level. Go on the South side of the part that curves
out from the wall and Can 4 is above the ramp right where it becomes
 straight.

5-Go to the North end of the map, there's a halfpipe. The 5th can is on
the West edge of the halfpipe, near the wall.

You don't get anything for completing this goal...

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score 3000, 5000, 8000, 12000, and 18000 point combos

Talk to Leo at the SW end of the map, in the yellow shirt to play a
game of Horse. The best area to rack up points is the SW end of the map
with the ramp against the wall and the Old Skool Ramp. Just jump up
the ramp, do a couple fliptricks while spinning, revert, then manual
and jump over the first ramp, do a couple fliptricks in the air,
and manual on the land and do a fliptrick or two. For the 18,000 pointer
you can manual all the way over to the rail NE of the Old Skool ramps,
jump on and grind it and manual as you jump off and do as many fliptricks
as you need.

You get $8 for winning and can do this as many times as you need for
money.

------------
CHANNEL GAPS
------------

Objective: Clear the Left and Right Channel Gaps by 5:00

After clearing the Spray Cans goal, Rob moves to the SW end of the map.
Talk to him and he'll give you this goal. The game shows you the gaps you
need to clear. To get the Right Channel Gap, get a momentum jump on the
South ramp(the same you'll be using to jump the Right gap), turn around
and skate towards the ramp at an angle, 45' towards the open channel,
jump at the top of the ramp and you should clear the gap easily. For the
Left Channel, do the same thing, but jump from the tall center wall
between the two gaps, over to the ramp North of the Channel. As long as
you have enough speed this is an easy goal. If you need to work on your
Ollie or Air stat, use any of the ramps surrounding the level.

----------
SICK SCORE
----------

Objective: Score 20,000 points by 8:00

Talk to Carl in the blue shirt at the NW side of the map and he'll
challenge you to get the 20,000 points. This is easy enough. The same
spot you used in the Horse goal will do for this goal as well. Just do
some fliptricks/grabs in the air, then revert and manual to the ramps,
jump them and trick in the air, land in a manual and do some more
tricks. Do this a couple times and you'll have the 20K in no time.

=================
5-4. BATTERY PARK
=================

Battery Park is the toughest of the levels so far. You'll need to
level up your stats alot if you've been neglecting them. Fortunately,
there's a couple good spots to do this. First, use the car that travels
on the main road to build up your Rail stat lickity split. Second,
there's a great line that travels from the Courtyard area to the
Rockefeller Park area. (All the names will make sense when you are
actually playing the level and get to know it) It starts at the West
ramp in the Courtyard section that you use to clear the OVER THE RAMP
gap, then goes on the long rail SE of the ramp, then ends with a ramp
at the SE end. You can use this line to keep going back and forth
with air tricks and reverts and manuals, etc to rack up big combo points
and stats.

----------
TRICK GOAL
----------

Objective: 360 Flip, Revert, Manual before 11:00

Skate NE on the street until you get to the T intersection, then go
East over to Sean in the Red shirt. He challenges you to complete the
combo before 11:00. Use the ramp just to the right of Sean to jump up
and perform the 360 Flip(ul+L), revert as you land by hitting R, then
quickly hit up,dn or dn,up to go into the Manual. Jump out of the
manual to end the combo.

Clearing this goal opens the Skate Park area in the Northeast for you

----------
SEAN'S GAP
----------

Objective: Hit the OPERATION EYE B before 3:00

Once you clear the TRICK GOAL goal, Sean moves into the Skate Park
area. Skate down into the bowl to find him. He challenges you to hit
the OPERATION EYE B (do a lip move on the white bar with the Skate Park
sign). Use the ramp on the left side of the bar, on the outside of the
skate park, skate up it and jump, then hit a lip move (up+A for example)
and you'll clear the goal.

The Concrete area in the North opens up after clearing this goal

---------------
SKITCHIN' CRAIG
---------------

Objective: Skitch the car driving on the road

After clearing the SEAN'S GAP goal, Craig will be standing West of the
Skate Park entrance, he's in a blue shirt. He tells you to Skitch his
car the entire length of the road, but you don't have to do it that
long. Wait close to the street by Craig for the white car to come by,
when it starts going back down the road(South) skate behind it and hit
A to grab on. Keep your balance on the balance meter until the blue
SKITCH GAP indicator pops up, then jump to end the skitchin.

You get nothing for this goal

-----
SKATE
-----

Objective: Find all the S-K-A-T-E letters

Mindy is in the NE part of the Skate Park, transfer over the double
sided ramp to the East to get to her. She'll tell you to find all the
SKATE letters:

S-North of Mindy, on the black ground between a couple long rails
K-Above the large ramp on the North side of the Skate Park entrance
A-On a small concrete ramp just West of the Skate Park entrance
T-On the subway ramp at the West corner of the map
E-All the way back by the Save Point, go South of it.

You get nothing for completing this goal

---------
TAR QUEST
---------

Objective: Find a bucket and mop by 9:30

Eric is up on the NE roof, in a yellow shirt. To get up to him, jump
from the ramp north of the skate park entrance onto the roof of the
building, then skate SE and transfer over the two-sided wooden ramp.
Talk to Eric and he'll tell you he needs a bucket and mop. Transfer
back over the two-sided ramp to the other part of the roof and you'll
see the mop in the middle. To get the bucket, transfer back over towards
Eric, then drop down into the skate park. Go SE and transfer into the
large wooden area and you'll see the bucket in the middle of that.
Get back up on the building the same way as before and talk to Eric
again.

You get $20 for completing this goal

-----------
COMBO LINES
-----------

Objective: Pull off a combo with Judo and Melon by 4:00

After beating the SKATE goal, Mindy moves North from her original
position. She's still in the Skate Park though, so she's easy to find
again. Talk to her, this time she wants you to do a combo with both
the Judo grab and the Melon grab in it. There's plenty of big ramps
in the skate park you can use, I use the SE of Mindy. Just skate down
and pull off the Melon(ur+R), then the Judo(ul+R). Don't spin at all
and you should land fine.

Clearing this goal opens the Courtyard area in the SE

----------
HIGH SCORE
----------

Objective: Get 20,000 points before 6:00

After clearing the TAR QUEST goal, talk to Eric again to do this goal.
He's still on the NE roof. This time he tells you to beat the High Score
of 20,000. This should be easy by now. Just drop down into the skate
park and pull off a couple combos in the bowls and ramps and you'll
have it in no time.

---------------------
GREG'S RAMP CHALLENGE
---------------------

Objective: Clear the OVER THE RAMP gap by 2:15

Greg appears at the South end of the map, on the sidewalk, after you
complete the IMPRESS CABALLERO goal. He tells you he'll let you into
Rockefeller Park if you can score the OVER THE RAMP gap. The game shows
you the gap you have to clear, you have to jump over the wide channel
with the rail in the middle. This is a tough gap to get, even with your
Air stat almost full. I had mine up to the point where you need to do 13
Grab moves in a Combo to raise it. Your speed needs to be pretty high
as well. Grind the rail that's on the way to the west, lower ramp to
build up speed, then quickly turn and skate North towards the west
ramp (straight up on the game screen) as you approach the ramp you want
to aim your skater so he'll jump from the furthest right part of the
ramp that he can without touching the raised white block next to it.
You want to end up almost parallel to the top of the ramp before you
jump, hold B just as you're skating up the ramp and let go at the
top. If you angle it right, your skater will cross the gap rather
quickly and not go that high in the air. Land on the other ramp and
you'll clear the gap.

Clear the goal and the big Rockefeller Park section opens up

-----------------
IMPRESS CABALLERO
-----------------

Objective: Body Varial(dr+L), 360 Flip(ul+L), 360 Shove It(ur+L)
          in 1 combo

After beating the TAR QUEST and HIGH SCORE goals, Eric moves to the
roof at the very NW corner of the map. Getting up there is tricky. The
way I usually do it is to jump from the ramp on the West side of the
street, just SE from the skate park entrance, between two buildings.
Hit a grind command as you reach the top of the roof and you should
grind the top of the roof Eric is on, jump off and you'll be on the
roof.

Just drop down from the roof and use the same set of ramps you used
to get on the roof to pull off the three moves. It's tricky since
they're all diagonal moves, just tap each direction plus L quickly
and you'll pull it off easy.

Clear this goal to unlock Steve Caballero and his specials, you also
get a subway pass.

-------------
COLLECT COMBO
-------------

Objective: Collect the COMBO letters

Once you complete the SKATE and COMBO LINES goals, Sarah appears in
the Courtyard area, right in the middle of it to be exact. The C is
NW of Mindy on the black rail, grind it and jump as soon as you grab
the C, then Manual as you land and go North to the wooden bench and
grind it to get the O. Jump off the bench and Manual North up onto the
short, white ramp and either grind it or jump and get the M. Revert as
you land if you jumped, and manual NE to the street towards the B. Do
a Run Out here to make this part easier if you can't Manual that far. Run
and get the B then run to the ramp in front of the building just North of
the B and start skating again, manual as soon as you do and jump up the
ramp and grab the O to complete the combo. If you don't do a Run Out,
just Manual to the B, then up the ramp and jump to get the O.

You don't get anything for beating this goal.

-----------------
TRICKED GRIND HOP
-----------------

Objective: Jump the STEPS GRIND HOP gap with a 360 Shove It by 7:15

Once you pass the GREG'S RAMP CHALLENGE goal, Greg moves near the
steps on the Western tip of Rockefeller Park in the East part of the
map. The only tricky part about this is pulling off the 360 Shove It
since it's a diagonal command(ul+L), otherwise it's a snap. You can
grind any of the three levels of steps, jump the gap and hit the 360
Shove It, then grind the steps on the other side.

Clearing this goal opens up the IMPRESS RUNE goal

------------
TRICKY SARAH
------------

Objective: Inward Heelflip into a Manual by 7:00

After completing the COLLECT COMBO goal, talk to Sarah again to get
this goal. She's in the same spot, in the courtyard by the benches. She
tells you to Inward Heelflip(dn,dn+L) into a Manual by 7:00. Use one of
the benches with ramps around it to get some air, hit the Inward Heelflip
and land in a Manual(up,dn). Jump out of the manual to end the combo
and pass the goal.

----------------
HIGH COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Pull off a 10,000 point combo by 10:30

After completing the IMPRESS CABALLERO goal, Eric moves by the big
tree in the Courtyard. It's just South of the ramp that the A was on
for the SKATE goal. Talk to him to start this goal. This should be a
piece of cake for you by now, I actually pulled this off by just holding
a lip move for the 10,000. If you can't do that, then go to the skate
park and put together a quick combo with some air tricks, reverts, and
manuals.

Clear the goal and you get a Subway pass

------------
IMPRESS RUNE
------------
Objective: Do what Mindy tells you, 10 moves

You'll find Mindy in the Eastern part of Rockefeller Park, near the
edge of the map after you complete her other 2 goals and the TRICK GRIND
HOP. Talk to her and she tells you about Rune being in the area. You have
to pull off 10 of the moves that she tells you to do. This can be tricky,
but most of the moves are simple, Nosegrinds and Kickflips, etc. Try to
do the ones that show up on the list more than once to score higher,
quicker. You don't even need a ramp to do most of them, just skate
around and pull off the moves you can(check your Trick list if you need
to remember how to pull some of them off).

Get 10 moves and you'll pass the goal. You get a cutscene with Rune
Gilfberg and he and his specials get unlocked.

------------
GREG'S TRICK
------------

Objective: Perform a 180 Rock N Roll and a Revert by 9:00

In order to take on this goal, you have to have the Lip Transition
moves unlocked. To do that you need to build up your Air and Spin
stats. A good place to do this is the line that starts with the West
ramp that you used to clear the OVER THE RAMP gap. Go from that ramp,
to the long rail SE of it, to the ramp at the other end. Just keep
going back and forth between these ramps, using the rail and Manuals,
and you'll build up your stats in no time.

The goal itself is pretty easy. Just talk to Greg, he's in the same
spot that he was for the TRICK GRIND GAP goal, then skate to one of the
ramps in the Courtyard. Skate up it and hit the 180 Rock n Roll(ul+L)
at the top, then as soon as your skater starts to move after the lip
move is done(the balance meter goes away) hit R and you'll do the revert.

You don't get anything for this goal

---------
PRO SCORE
---------

Objective: Score 60,000 by 8:00

Complete the IMPRESS CABALLERO and COMBO HIGH SCORE goals and Sam will
show up near the Subway, at the SW corner of the map. Talk to him and
he'll tell you to score 60,000 by 8:00. After some of the goals in this
level, this is easy. Use the skate park and the good line in the Courtyard
near the OVER THE RAMP gap(with the rail by it) and you'll have the
points you need well before the 8:00 limit.

Clear the goal to unlock the Bronx level in Story and Arcade Mode

-----------
COMPETITION
-----------

 Objective: Medal in the competition

After completing the PARKING SPACE goal in the Bronx level, you get a
voucher that lets you compete in the competition. You also need $60, so
play some Horse games to build up some cash.

Go talk to the official in the skate park to start the competition.
You want to average over 100,000 points in each heat to win. This is
easy by now. You start in the skate park, use the rails there to
grind down to the ramp at the bottom, manual to it and jump it and
perform some air tricks, then revert and manual back to the white
rails, grind up them, hop and trick the gap in the rails, grind on
the rails on the other side, then manual out onto the street and
over to the West of the street. Grind down it and jump on the pieces
of black fence and grind them. You'll rack up the points in no time.

Medal in the competition and you'll unlock Bam Margera and his
specials, and the Santa Monica stage.

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score 8000, 10000, 20000, then 25000 points in a combo

Once you complete the 3 other goals with Greg, he'll stay in the
Rockefeller Park area. Talk to him anytime to play Horse. Use the good
lines mentioned earlier in the guide to rack up the combo points.

You get $10 for beating Greg in horse, and you can do this as many
times as you want for the money

==========
5-5. BRONX
==========

The Bronx is a wider map, with lots of rails and places to grind, but
no great combo line. There's a three-ended ramp(which I call the 1/2
bowl) by the three story building in the NW corner of the map that's
a decent spot for building up your stats and putting together big
combos, but other than that this level isn't great for leveling or
comboing. Just beat it and move onto the Hangar where you can do some
REAL stat building.

-----------
STADIUM TIX
-----------

Objective: Find the 5 tickets by 6:00

Ben is just North of Charlie, around the white and red railing. Talk
to him and he'll ask you to find the tickets he lost.

1. Right next to Ben, to the West
2. Over the ramp to the East of Ben
3. Next to the red and white railing on the West side of the street in
  the center of the map
4. South of ticket 3, below the bench on the street divider
5. Above a ramp on the West edge of the map. West of Ticket 4 and just
  NW from the Save Point

Complete this goal and you can skate in the Stadium section in the
NE part of the map

-----------------
IMPRESS THE GUARD
-----------------

Objective: Heelflip and Revert into a Manual in a combo by 8:00

From the starting point of the level, skate NE along the street, then
East when you're way is blocked by the white and red rails and you'll
see Charlie. Talk to him and he'll tell you to Heelflip and revert into
a Manual in the same combo. Use the ramp North of Charlie to pull off
this easy combo.

Once you complete this goal Charlie will tell you to see Ben. Ben is
just North of Charlie, around the white and red railing.

-------------
COLLECT SKATE
-------------

Objective: Collect the SKATE letters by 5:30

Once you complete the STADIUM TIX goal, Katie appears in the NW part
of the map. West of where Ben was standing, near the red and white rail.
Talk to her and she tells you to get the SKATE letters before 5:30 and
she'll let you into the Projects area of the map.

S-Above the ramp right next to Katie
K-On the red and white rail just East of Katie
A-Further East on the same rail as the K
T-Above the ramp NE of the K, on the edge of Stadium lot area
E-South of the T, on one of the short concrete rails by the street in
the stadium lot section of the map

Complete this goal and you can skate in the Projects in the SE part of
the map

---------------
PRO COMBO SCORE
---------------

Objective: Perform a 50,000 point combo by 12:00

Once the stadium lot section is open, Charlie moves over into the
area near the stadium entrance. Talk to him and he'll tell you to
perform a 50,000 point combo by midnight. There's a decent line from the
Projects to the Stadium Lot section, so skate South to the projects from
Charlie. Use the 1/4 pipe next to the small entrance into the projects
area, with the blue pipes near it. Jump and do some air tricks on the
ramp, or a Lip move, Revert and manual to the blue pipe and grind it
so you're heading East. The pipe curves around and sends you back
towards the stadium lot, jump and do a fliptrick and manual across
the street to where Charlie is standing. Do a couple more fliptricks
and manuals and you'll have enough points. To make this a little
easier, do a run out across the street to the stadium, then manual
near Charlie and manual up the ramp North of him and pull off a couple
more tricks, revert, manual and do a couple more tricks on the ground.

Once you beat this goal Robyn and Nadia show up in the Stadium Lot
area.

-----------
NADIA'S GAP
-----------

Objective: Body Varial over the DAY OF THE DEAD gap by 12:00

Nadia is up on one of the raised sections in the Stadium Lot area,
the one on the West side of the lot. Skate up to her and she tells you
to Body Varial over the DAY OF THE DEAD gap by noon. The gap is the one
just right of her. This is an easy goal, just skate towards the gap,
jump and hit the Body Varial(dl+L) and land on the other raised section
and you'll clear the goal.

You don't get anything for beating this goal

----------
TAILGATING
----------

Objective: Find the tailgaiting gear by 8:00

After completing the PRO COMBO SCORE goal, Robyn will be standing in
the East corner of the Stadium Lot area. Talk to her and she asks you to
find her tailgating gear. It's located just North of the bench on the
road divider in the West section of the map.

You get some food(energy) and the Residential section in the NW section
of the map opens after beating this goal.

----------
SICK SCORE
----------

Objective: Get 100,000 points by 4:45

After beating the NADIA'S GAP goal, talk to Nadia again for this goal.
She's in the same spot, on the West-most raised platform in the stadium
section. Getting the 100K should be easy by now. Use the ramps in the
stadium lot, and the pipes in the project section to rack up some big
combo points.

Complete this goal and Nadia will tell you to talk to Robyn about
getting into the Residential area of the map

--------------
IMPRESS KAREEM
--------------

Objective: Perform a Judo, Melon, and Crossbone in one combo

Once you open the Projects section of the map, Katie moves to the SE
corner in there. Talk to her and you'll have to Judo(ul+R), Melon(ur+R),
and Crossbone(dr+R)in one combo. Use one of the ramps in the North part
of the projects area to pull off all the moves in one jump. Do the
Crossbone first since it's a weird move to land correctly(it turns you
a little).

Complete this goal to unlock Kareem Campbell and his specials

---------------------
KATIE'S BUILDING GAPS
---------------------

Objective: Hit the thre building gaps by 12:00

After completing the IMPRESS KAREEM goal, Katie moves to the center of
the Projects area, by the wooden platform on the basketball court. She
tells you to get the three building gaps by noon.

Skate to the first ramp the game shows you and do a momentum building
jump, then circle back around and jump the first gap. You don't want to
be too close to the next building or you'll hit it on your way up, and
you don't want to be too far away or you won't make it onto the next
level. Aim for the section of the ramp just left of the center of it
and turn as you go up it so you're heading almost straight North on
the screen. Jump at the top of the ramp and you'll clear the JOLLY
ROGER gap.

On the next two levels, get momentum jumps, circle around in the small
area that you have and jump from near the center points of the ramps.
You'll clear the NICO'S WAY and the MISTER BLUEEYES gaps in no time.

You don't get anything for this goal

----------------
SICK COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Score an 80,000 point combo by 9:00

Once you open the Residential area, Charlie is standing in the NW corner
below all the buildings. Where the two long, red and white rails meet.
Talk to him and he'll tell you to score an 80,000 point combo by 9:00.
To do so in the short time limit that you're given, skate over to the
1/2 bowl just West of Charlie and do some air tricks, into reverts then
manuals, and then turn quickly and jump up on another section of the
1/2 bowl and repeat. The goal isn't to skate from one side of the bowl
to the other while manualing, but getting back up in the air as soon as
possible. So land, and turn hard. For example, use the North side of the
ramp, then land and turn to the West side and use it, then land and use
the South side, then back to the West side. Don't go all the way from
the North side to the South side while manualing or you'll lose too
much speed. You should have two or three specials at this point as well,
make them Fliptricks to rack up the combo points quickly as well.

You get nothing for completing this goal

------------
WRONG FLYERS
------------

Objective: Take down the 5 flyers by 4:30

Once the residential area is open, Amanda is standing by the 1/2 bowl
on the West side of the map, near the end of the long white and red rail.
Talk to her and she asks you to take down all the flyers she put up.

1. On the white and red rail NE of Amanda
2. On the East section of the same white and red rail as flyer 1
3. Above the bench south of Amanda, on the road divider
4. On the ramp between the two black Entrance pillars in the Stadium lot
5. Above the tickets ramp in the stadium lot section of the map, NE corner

Clear the goal to get $20

-------------
PARKING SPACE
-------------

Objective: Find 5 cones before 7:30

Talk to Amanda again after beating the WRONG FLYERS goal and she'll
ask you to find 5 cones to reserve her parking spot. She's in the same
spot in the Residential area as before.

1. East of Amanda, near the end of the East section of the white and
  red railing.

2. South of Amanda, right by the Save Point

3. On the rasied wood platform in the basketball court of the Projects

4. On a concrete ramp leading from the Projects to the stadium lot, just
  East of cone 3

5. On the middle raised platform in the stadium lot area. Jump from one
of the end platforms onto the middle one to get it

Complete the goal to get a Competition Pass for Battery Park, and
$25 to boot. The Hangar also opens up after you complete this goal.

-----
HORSE
-----

 Objective: Score 10000, 15000, 20000, 30000, and 50000 point combos

Talk to Katie after beating the KATIE'S GAP CHALLENGE goal and she'll
play a game of horse with you. Use the ramp near the basketball court
in the Projects, with the curving blue pipe by it that you used in
Charlie's PRO COMBO SCORE goal. Trick on the ramp, revert and manual
to the blue pipe, grind the pipe to the concrete exit of the projects,
manual across the street, fliptrick, and manual up the ramp in the
Stadium Lot to get some big combo scores.

You get $15 every time you win this goal. Use it to save up money for
the Battery Park competition.

===========
5-6. HANGAR
===========

The Hangar is more of a mini-level, like the Warehouse. There's only
3 goals in Story Mode. The good thing about this level is the big half-
pipe in the North end. If you haven't by now, use it to build
up your skater's stats so they're all almost full(or completely full
if you want to spend the time). The only two that can't be maxed out
on the halfpipe are the Rail and Manual stats. Luckily, the long rail
surrounding the entire level can be used to build your Rail stat, and
you'll need the practice for Arcade Mode where grinding almost the entire
rail is part of one of the goals.

Your skater should know Lip Transitions by now, use them on the half-
pipe to rack up huge combo points easily.

----------
TED'S GAPS
----------

Objective: Hit the WIND TUNNEL MIA and AIR IS GOOD gaps by 5:00

Ted is standing in the SW section of the Hangar, talk to him to start
this goal. The game camera pans to show you each gap. The WIND TUNNEL MIA
gap is definitely the harder of the two to get, but if you build up your
Air stat on the halfpipe before trying this goal, you'll clear it easily.
Instead of waiting to jump from the top of the ramp, you want to build up
some speed and jump from the West ramp to the East going almost parallel
to the top of the ramp. You won't gain much air but you'll have enough
speed to make it across the gap. Jump at the last second possible to
nab the WIND TUNNEL MIA gap. Then just skate over the dividing wall,
start at one end of the halfpipe, skate up the outside of it, jump
and clear it, and you'll get the AIR IS GOOD gap.

You get nothing for this goal

-----
WINGS
-----

Objective: Find the  pilot wings by 4:15

Nadia is standing North from the save point, talk to her to get this
goal.

1-The game shows you, above the ramp North of Nadia
2-On the wall with the ramps in the middle that divides the level
3-On the same wall as Wing 2, on the East portion of the big wall
4-Just North of Wing 2, above the ramp that makes up the West wall
5-Above the curve in the ramp at the SW corner of the level

Collect all 5 and you get nothing...

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score 20000, 40000, 60000, 80000, and 100,000 point combos

Ben is standing at the East end of the Hangar, on the North side of
the dividing wall. Talk to him to get a game of horse going. Use the
halfpipe to rack up the combo points. Air tricking, reverting and
manualing, and repeating as necessary for the combo scores. And don't
forget the Lip Transitions either!

You get $20 each time you win. This is an easy way to make some money
between competitions when you need gear and energy.

=================
5-7. SANTA MONICA
=================

Santa Monica is a wide open level with plenty of ramps in the 4 zones
to build up your combo scores. The SW corner of the Beachfront is a good
spot, and the bowl on the East end of the map as well.

----------------------
EMMY'S TRICK CHALLENGE
----------------------

Objective: Do a 360 Shove It by 4:00

Skate South from the Save Point to talk to Emmy and get this first
goal. All she wants you to do is pull a 360 Shove It(ul+R) by 4:00. You
should be able to do this by just skating, jumping, and hitting the move
right by Emmy. Quick and Easy.

You get nothing for this goal

-------------
COLLECT SKATE
-------------

Objective: Find the S-K-A-T-E letters

Talk to Emmy again after beating the EMMY'S TRICK CHALLENGE goal and
she'll tell you to find the SKATE letters around town:

S-On the bench just North of Emma
K-On a bench NW of the one with the S
A-Above the wooden ramp NW of the two benches with the S and K
T-Above the wooden ramp across the street(NE) of the ramp with the A
E-SE down the street, then North by the red oval building, then West onto
the small wooden ramp between the two buildings. Above the ramp

Clear the goal and you'll open the Promenade section of the map

----------
HIGH SCORE
----------

Objective: Score 100,000 by 9:00

Talk to Geoff in the bowl in the East area of the map(transfer over
the Eastern ramp and go North). He tells you to score 100,000 before
8:00. Use the bowl Geoff is standing in and do some Lip Transitions
and revert->manuals across to another ramp and do it again. You'll
have the 100,000 in a short time.

Complete the goal and the Beach Front area that stretches from the
SW to the South end of the map opens up.

---------------------
AMY AND THE PROMENADE
---------------------

Objective: Hit the KIOSK GRIND by 7:00

Once you open the Promenade area of the map, Amy is standing at the
very North end of it, near the wooden ramp against the building. Talk
to her and she'll tell you to do the KIOSK GRIND by 7:00. To get the
KIOSK GRIND you have to grind one full circle around the top of the
Kiosk building. To get up there you have to skate to the ramp just
SE of AMY, this area isn't unlocked so you have to be quick so you
don't get sent back to the starting point of the level. Jump from the
concrete part of the ramp at the very North end, hit A as you approach
the Kiosk roof, grind one full rotation until you get the KIOSK GRIND
indicator then jump off.

You don't get anything for this goal

---------
CART RACE
---------

Objective: Collect all the checkpoints by 3:00

Talk to Amy again after beating the AMY AND THE PROMENADE goal and
you'll start the CART RACE. You have to go through all the checkpoints
within the time limit to win.

1. Just West of your starting point
2. South of Checkpoint 1, on the East side of the concrete oval
3. SW of Checkpoint two, on the East side of the red oval building
4. On the street, just South of Checkpoint 4
5. Turn around and go NE on the West side of the red oval building,
Checkpoint 5 is just north of it
6. Go West, through the small gap between the bench and the rail
after Checkpoint 5, go NE to the ramp and grab Checkpoint 6
7. Turn around and head SW, staying on the West side of the bench,
Checkpoint 7 is on the ramp against the building.
8. Go back down the ramp and go up the one NE of it, right by it fot
  Checkpoint 8
9. On the West side of the red oval building.
10.On the street South of Checkpoint 9
11.On the street NW of Checkpoint 10
12.On the street NW of CHeckpoint 11

You don't get anything for beating this goal

-----------------
LOST BOWLING PINS
-----------------

Objective: Find all 3 of Amy's bowling pins by 9:00

Talk to Amy again after beating the CART RACE goal and she'll ask you
to find her bowling pins so she can juggle.

1. On the concrete oval just West of Amy
2. Above the ramp on the NE end of the red oval building
3. Above the ramp on the South side of the street, SW of the red oval
  building

Collect them and go back and talk to Amy to complete the goal, you
get $20 for beating the goal.

-----------------------
CARLY'S TRICK CHALLENGE
-----------------------

Objective: Perform a Feeble by 9:00

Once you complete the SKATRIS challenge, Carly will be standing near
the main road of the level, at the West end on the South side. Talk
to her and she'll tell you to perform a Feeble. You need to have your
Rail stats almost maxed out to get this goal, otherwise Carly will tell
you to build it up. Go back to the Hangar and grind on the DOUBLE BLEH
rail to build your Rail stat up, and use the big street in Santa
Monica to build up your Manual stat.

If you have Grind Transitions unlocked, just go near the sidewalk edge
and hit dr+A to do the Feeble grind. Jump off and the goal is cleared.

-------
SKATRIS
-------

Objective: Perform 15 moves that Amy tells you

Once the Beach Front area opens, Emmy will be in the very SW corner.
Talk to her to start this goal. Just jump and do the flips and grabs and
use the wooden walkway for the grinds.

Finish the goal to unlock Eric Koston and his specials

-----------------
MIDNIGHT TRICKERY
-----------------

Objective: Perform a Madonna by midnight

Talk to Carly again after completing the CARLY'S TRICK CHALLENGE and
she'll tell you to do a Madonna(up,up+R) by 12:00. Just jump and hit
the Madonna command or use the ramp at the NW end of the street to
quickly pull off the move and clear the goal.

You don't get anything for this goal

------------------
EMMY'S HIDDEN GAPS
------------------

Objective: Get the 3 SPINE AL TAP gaps by 6:15

After completing the HIGH SCORE and SKATRIS goals, Emmy will be at
the SW corner of the Beach Front. Talk to her and she'll tell you to
check out the gaps she found, they're the spine transfers on all the
double-sided ramps in the Beach Front area. You have to jump and then
transfer to make the SPINE AL TAP indicators pop up. The game shows
you the first one, jump and transfer it, then go South and jump and
transfer the one right next to the water, then stay down by the water
and jump and transfer the one right by the wooden platform. Get all
3 and you'll complete the goal.

You get nothing for this goal

----------------
HIGH COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Score a 75,000 combo

Once the Beach Front area is open to you, Chris is standing just South
of the ramp leading down to the Beach Front from the street. Talk to
him and he'll tell you to do a 75,000 point combo. Use the ramps around
you to do some Lip moves and Lip Transitions, then revert and Manual
to another ramp and do some more, etc etc until you get enough points.

Clear the goal and the Weights area opens up, it's SE of the Beach
Front area

-------------
IMPRESS JAMIE
-------------

Objective: Japan Air, Madonna, and Airwalk in one combo

Once you open the Weights area by beating the HIGH COMBO SCORE goal,
Chris moves into the middle of it. Skate under the wide wooden bridge
and you'll see Chris on the wooden walkway. He'll tell you about pro
skater Jamie Thomas. You have to do a Japan Air(dr+R), Madonna(up,up+R),
and Airwalk(dn,dn+R) in one combo. This should be easy as pie for you
by now. Just use one of the ramps near you and Chris, get some speed
and pull off all the moves. Do the Airwalk last since it's the easiest
to land.

Land the combo and you'll unlock Jamie Thomas and his moves

-----------------
EMMY'S COMBO TRIX
-----------------

Objective: Inward Heelflip and Airwalk in a combo

After completing the IMPRESS JAMIE goal, Emmy will be standing in the
NW part of the Weights area. Talk to her and she'll tell you to Inward
Heelflip(dn,dn+L) and Airwalk(dn,dn+R) in a combo. Use the ramps around
you and Emmy to pull of this easy combo.

You get a big fat nothing for beating this goal

---------------
PRO COMBO SCORE
---------------

Objective: Score a 120,000 point combo by 12:10

After completing the EMMY'S COMBO TRIX goal, Eric will be standing in
the Promenade area near Amy and the Kiosk. Talk to him and he'll tell
you to do a 120,000 point combo by 12:10. Use the Kiosk ramp to pull off
some Lip Transitions, then revert and manual to the concrete oval and
grind it, jump up and fliptrick and you should have more than enough
points in the combo.

Beat the goal and the Road Construction area opens

-------------------------
MISSING CONSTRUCTION HATS
-------------------------

Objective: Find the   hats by 5:00

Once you beat the PRO COMBO SCORE goal, Eric moves just East of his
original position, to the West edge of the Road Construction zone. He
asks you to find the missing hats by 5:00.

1. On the bench just SE of Eric
2. On the ramp just North of Eric
3. Above the sidewalk at the East end of the Road Construction zone
4. Above the ramp West of Hat 3
5. On the ramp near the street, South of Hat 3
6. From Hat 5, turn back NE then go over the ramp to the West(near
where Geoff was for the HIGH SCORE goal). Jump up onto the brick
building with the skate signs and go NE, Hat 6 is above the ramp

Get them all and take them back to Eric and the Hollywood level will
be unlocked.

-----------
GEOFF'S GAP
-----------

Objective: Grind the FOUNTAIN RIDE gap by 1:00

Geoff is standing at the NE corner of the Construction area, talk to
him and he'll challenge you to hit the FOUNTAIN RIDE grind by 1:00. The
camera pans to the fountain, you have to grind the inside edge of the
fountain 1 full turn to get the FOUNTAIN RIDE goal. Just jump at the
fountain and don't hit the grind command until you're past the outer
edge of the fountain. You can grind the outer edge but it doesn't
seem to give you the Fountain Ride grind as consistently as the inner
edge.

You get nothing for this goal

-----------
COMPETITION
-----------

Objective: Medal in the competition

Once you get the two vouchers from the ALLEY STINK and GRIND BRENT'S
ROOF goals in Hollywood, and you have $100 come back to Santa Monica and
jump up onto the NW rooftop where the COMBO letters were. Talk to the
official on the West edge of the roof to start the competition. Don't
forget to save when you have the voucher and enough money, so that if
you mess up somehow you can just load and do the competition again,
and not have to go around playing horse.

Use the ramps on the North side of the roof to pull off some Lip
Transitions and reverts to manuals, to more Lip Transitions, and
so on. You want to average more than 280,000 points per heat to
get first.

Medal in the competition to unlock Rodney Mullen and his moves,
and unlock the San Diego level.

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score 40000, 60000, 80000, 110000, and 150000 point combos

After completing Amy's three goals, talk to her again and she'll
challenge you to a game of Horse. Just use the Kiosk ramp to do some
Lip Transitions and revert -> manual to the concrete oval and grind it,
jump it to the small 1/2 pipe on the West side of the small Promenade
alley and do some air tricks/lips there. That should be enough to get
the points for all the combos.

You get $25 for winning every time

==============
5-8. HOLLYWOOD
==============

Hollywood is a pretty diverse level, with big rooftops and some short,
tight corner spots. There's plenty of ramps for building big combos,
and the long main street is great for maxing out your Manual stat(which
you need to do for a goal in this level anyway...)

---------------
COFFEE FOR LUIS
---------------

Objective: Hit the COFFEE CLUB gap by 9:00

From the Save Point, skate SE to where Luis is standing on the corner,
talk to him and he tells you to hit the COFFEE CLUB gap by 9:00. The
camera pans to show you the roof of the coffee building, all you need
to do is jump from the ramp below, hold L+R to transfer, and land on the
roof.

Complete this goal and the Power Records area opens up in the SW

-------------
STREET TAGGER
-------------

Objective: Find the 5 cans

Rob is on the North side of the NW end of the main street after beating
the PRO SCORE combo. Talk to him and he asks you to get the cans before
the cops come.

1. Above the ramp just NW of Rob
2. On the bench just SE of Rob
3. Above a wooden ramp NE of the bench with can 3
4. Past the ramp with can 3, NE of it
5. Above the ramp next to the Save Point

You don't get anything for winning this goal

-------------
COLLECT SKATE
-------------

Objective: Collect the SKATE letters by 11:30

After beating the COFFEE FOR LUIS goal, Luis moves to the very East
end of the main street. Talk to him and he'll challenge you to find
the SKATE letters.

S-Directly East of Luis
K-Above the ramp North of Luis, just East of the Save Point
A-On a bench on the South side of the main street, near the Powers Records
T-Above the South ramp on the NW end of the main street
E-Above the ramp on the NW end of the main street

You don't get anything for this goal

----------------
SICK COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Score a 225,000 point combo by 5:00

After completing the STREET TAGGER goal, talk to Rob again and he'll
tell you to do a 225,000 point combo. Use the ramp right by Rob to do
some Lip Transitions, then revert and manual to the ramp across the
street and do some more, then come back and do some on the 1st side,
etc etc until you have enough points.

You don't get anything for this goal

---------
PRO SCORE
---------

Objective: Score 175,000 points by 10:00

Once you beat the COFFEE FOR LUIS goal, Jason is standing in the SW
section of the Power Records portion of the level. Talk to him for this
easy goal. Just use the ramps around you to do some Lip Transitions and
Fliptricks, etc etc until you get the points.

You don't get anything for this goal

---------------------
ROB'S SPINE CHALLENGE
---------------------

Objectives: Get 3 building Spine Transfers in 1 combo

Once you beat the SICK COMBO SCORE goal, Rob moves up onto the roof
of The Whispy. Jump the COFFEE CLUB gap to get up there and talk to him.
Now you have to do 3 COFFEE CLUB gaps(or any spine transfer from any of
the ramps around the building) in 1 combo. Do the first transfer(L+R)
from the top of the building down to the ground, then revert and manual
and quickly turn and go back up the ramp and jump back up to the roof
while holding L+R. This ground-to-roof transfer is tough because you
need to keep enough speed from the revert to have a chance at making
it up to the and having enough air to so the transfer. Quickly revert
after the transfer to the roof then jump and do a Run Out. Run away
from the ramp you're going to use for the last transfer, then quickly
turn around and run towards it, get back om your board, manual, then
jump from the ramp and transfer. If you're having trouble with the
2nd transfer, getting up on the roof, try a Run Out down on the ground
as well.

You unlock the Roxi area after clearing this goal

------------
OLLIE'S CANS
------------

Objective: Find the 10 cans by 12:00

Once you beat the PRO SCORE goal, Ollie will be in the East section
of the Power Records area. Talk to him and he asks you to find his cans
by midnight.

1. Just East of Ollie
2. Just South of Ollie
3. Just SW of Ollie
4. West of Ollie, over the raised platform
5. On the corner of the ramp North of can 5
6. On the corner of the ramp South of can 5
7. Above the ramp on the small building with the raised platform in front
of it, Just NW of Ollie
8. On the raised platform just East of the Power Records building
9. Right by the street, NE of can 8
10.Over a bench near the road, North of can 9

Collect all the cans and go back and talk to Ollie, you get nothing.

---------------
IMPRESS STEAMER
---------------

Objective: Perform a Smith, Feeble, and Overcrook in a combo

Once you beat the PRO SCORE goal, Jason will be standing just North of
the Power Records building. Talk to him and he talks about pro skater
Elissa Steamer. To impress her you have to perform a Smith(dl+A),
Feeble(dr+A), and Overcrook(ul+A) in one combo. Use the edge of the
side walk to grind, jump, do another grind, jump, and do the last grind.
You can also do them all with the Grind Transitions, but it's easier
to just jump and change grinds.

Beat the goal to unlock Elissa Streamer and her moves

----------
COMBO LINE
----------

Objective: Collect the COMBO letters

After doing the OLLIE'S CANS goal, Ollie moves to the West end of the
Power Records section of the level. Talk to him and he sets up the
COMBO letters. Grind the rail the C is on heading East, then Manual
at the end and go North. Grind the left red rail and get the O,
then manual at the end of it. Grind the sidewalk heading SE and
get the M, then jump and Run Out East to get the B. You can actually
get the B and the last O during the run out if you're quick enough.
The O is SE of the B, on the corner of the intersection. Just run
towards it, and if the time limit on the Run Out is about to end,
just get back on your board and Manual the rest of the way.

Beat this goal and the Cobra Room area in the SE of the level opens
up.

----------------
JESSICA IS CRAZY
----------------

Objective: Get the HOLY FRIJOLES! gap by 9:00

Once the Roxi section of the map is open, Jessica is standing between
the two wooden ramps at the East end of the area. Talk to her and she'll
tell you to do the HOLY FRIJOLES! gap. This is the huge gap between the
roof of the Roxi building and the roof of the Whispy. Jump up onto the
Roxi from the wooden ramp below, then build up some speed on the roof
by jumping on the tall ramp surrounding  the Roxi roof. Whe you have
enough speed, skate towards the gap, you need to get just barely
parallel to the top of the ramp at the highest point ON the ramp that
you can to make the gap. It may take a couple tries, and your Air and
Speed and Ollie stats need to be near-maxed or maxed.

You get $20 for beating this goal

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score 80000, 120000, 160000, 200000, and a 250000 point combo

Once you beat the JESSICA IS CRAZY goal, she stays in the same place
and you can play a game of HORSE with her. Use the wooden ramps around
Jessica to do Lip Transitions and revert->manuals etc etc.

You get $30 for winning

-------------------
FLATLANDS FOR BRENT
-------------------

Objective: Perform a Pogo and a Casper

Once you open up the Roxi area, Brent moves on the West end of the
Roxi's roof. You need to have your Manual stat maxed out so you can do
Flatland tricks to do this goal. Use the main street to build up your
Manual stat until it's maxed then come back and talk to Brent again.
Remember that your Special meter must be flashing in order to perform
Flatland tricks!

Brent wants you to do a Pogo and a Casper. Make sure your Special meter
is flashing, then slow down and do a Manual. From the manual, hit <-+A
to do the Pogo. Jump out of it then slow down and manual again, this time
hit ->, <-+A to do the Casper. Jump out of it and that's it! If you need
to fill up your special meter between Flatland moves, just go up a ramp
and do a couple Lip Transitions, they fill the meter up quick.

You get nothing for this goal

------------------
GRIND BRENT'S ROOF
------------------

Objective: Bluntside the ROOF GRIND by 9:00

Talk to Brent again after beating the FLATLAND FOR BRENT goal and he'll
tell you to do a Bluntside grind along the ROOF GRIND gap. This is easy
enough, just skate up to the West end of the roof and hit the Bluntside
command(dn,dn+A) and keep your balance around the curve until the blue
ROOF GRIND indicator comes up. Jump down and you've done it! If you're
having trouble landing from the roof to the ground below, just jump
and do a Run Out on the way down.

After beating this goal you get the 2nd voucher needed for the Santa
Monica competition, you go back automatically.

-----------
ALLEY STINK
-----------

Objective: Airwalk the SMELLY ALLEY gap by 12:00

Once the Cobra Room area is open, Fred is standing West of the Cobra
Room building. Talk to him and he'll challenge you to Airwalk(dn,dn+R)
the SMELLY ALLEY gap before noon. The game shows you the SMELLY ALLEY
gap, it's from the ramp right by Fred up onto the ramp on the Cobra
Room roof.

You don't get anything for this goal

----------
SICK SCORE
----------

Objective: Score 250,000 points by 4:00

Once you beat the ALLEY STINK goal, Fred moves a little West from his
original position. Talk to him and he tells you to score 250,000 points
to get a Competition voucher for the Santa Monica competition. Use the
ramps in the Cobra Room area to rack up some Lip Transition points,
if you want to mix things up go grind on the street. You should know
how to easily take care of these high score goals by now.

Get the points and you receive the voucher

==============
5-9. SAN DIEGO
==============

San Diego is a crowded little map, the Main Drag and Fountain areas
take up most of it. They're packed with rails and only have a few ramps.
The Marina section has a pretty good combo line, it's the big ramp that
leads up to the Fountain area, with a wide wooden rail behind it, then
another ramp at the end of the pier. You start in this area in the
competition, so try to get used to it in some of the high score and
combo goals.

----------------
HIGH COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Score a 125,000 point combo by 4:00

From the starting point, skate East and a little North and you'll
find Daniella. Talk to her to start this goal. Use the ramp next to
Daniella to do some Lip Transitions then revert and manual and go back
up the ramp and do some more. Easy stuff.

------------------
BALLOONS FOR SARAH
------------------

Objective: Find the group of balloons by 7:00

Sarah is standing NW of Daniella after beating the HIGH COMBO SCORE.
Talk to her and she tells you she needs balloons for her daughter. The
balloons are in the Fountain area of the map, at the very South end of
the level. Skate SW down the main street, then turn East at the end of
the level, you'll see the balloons up on the 1/4 pipe. Run to them,
then get back up on your board and jump up the ramp, get the balloons,
and skate back to Sarah.

You get $30 for completing this goal

-------------
COLLECT SKATE
-------------

Objective: Find all the SKATE letters by 7:00

After completing the HIGH COMBO SCORE goal, talk to Danielle again
and she'll tell you to find all the SKATE letters.

S-Above the ramp West of Danielle
K-Above a rail by the street South of Danielle, in the Slums,
 run to get it
A-South of the rail with the K, above the building at the very South end
of the road. Jump up from the ramp next to the building.
T-Over the West-most fountain in the Fountain area of the map(South),
East from the rail with the K, you have to run
E-NE section of the Fountain area, over a wooden rail, run

Beat this goal to open the Main Drag area of the map in the NE

------------
SKITCH PRIDE
------------

Objective: Skitch behind the car for the entire length of the road

Once you open the Main Drag area, Paige is standing at the very North
end. She tells you to skitch behind her car for the entire road. Wait
by where she's standing for the car to come and turn around, then skate
behind it and hit A to Skitch. Keep your balance on the balance meter
the entire length of road and you'll clear the goal.

You get $20 and the Downtown Slums area in the SW part of the map

----------
HIGH SCORE
----------

Objective: Score 250,000 points by 11:00

Once you complete the SKITCH PRIDE goal, Dave will be standing in the
North part of the Main Drag area, right by the big concrete ramp. You
know what to do. Find a ramp, do some Lip Transitions, score big points,
etc etc.

You get nothing for this goal

-----------------
DAVE'S TACKLE BOX
-----------------

Objective: Find the Tacklebox by 8:00

Talk to Dave after clearing the HIGH SCORE goal and he'll ask you
to find his tacklebox. It's on the big stone building right behind Dave
to the North. Jump from one of the ramps on either side of the building
up onto the roof, the tacklebox is in the middle of the roof. Grab it
and go back down and talk to Dave.

You get $20 for clearing this goal and the Marina section in the SE of
the level opens.

--------------
IMPRESS ROWLEY
--------------

Objective: Pop Shove it, 180 Rock N Roll, and Noseslide in 1 combo

Once the Main Drag area is open, and you've completed DAVE'S TACKLE
BOX, Danielle is standing just East of the big concrete building. Talk
to her and she tells you about pro skater Geoff Rowley. To impress him
you need to do a Pop Shove It(up+L), 180 Rock n Roll(ul+A), and a
Noseslide(<-or->+A) all in one combo. Go up the ramp North of
Daniella and do the 180 Rock n Roll, then revert and manual, then
either do the Pop Shove it while manualing or while grinding. To do
the Noseslide, you have to approach a rail almost head-on. If you
don't get the Noseslide at first, just jump and hit <-or->+A again
and it should come up while grinding. Do the Pop Shove It if you still
need to after hitting the Noseslide, land, and that's it.

Beat this goal to unlock Geoff Rowley and his moves

---------------
PRO COMBO SCORE
---------------

Objective: Score a 200,000 point combo by 10:20

Once the Downtown Slums area is open, Danny is standing on top of
the SW building. Jump up from the ramp that had the A in SKATE and
skate over to him. He tells you to do a 200,000 point combo by 10:20.
Use the ramps on the edge of the roof to do the usual thing: Lips,
reverts and manuals, more lips, etc etc.

The Fountain area opens after beating this goal

----------
COMBO TRIX
----------

Objective: Perform an Inward Heelflip, Smith, and Madonna in a combo

After beating the PRO COMBO SCORE goal, talk to Danny again, he's
still on the SW building, and he'll ask you to perform an Inward
Heelflip(dn,dn+L), Smith(dl+A), and a Madonna(dn,dn+R) in one combo
before 12:00. Smith grind the top of the ramp surrounding the roof
and jump while grinding and do the Inward Heelflip, then jump as
the ramp ends and do the Madonna and land.

You don't get anything for this goal.

---------
PRO SCORE
---------

Objective: Score 325,000 points by 5:15

After beating DAVE'S TACKLE BOX and opening the Marina section, Karin
is down in the middle of it by the big ramp leading up to the Fountain
area. Talk to her and she tells you to score 325,000 points by 5:15. Use
the big ramp near her and the rails all around the Marina to rack up
the points. This shouldn't be a problem by now.

You get nothing for this one

-------------------
KARIN'S MARINA RAIL
-------------------

Objective: Feeble on the Marina Grind Hops by 9:00

Talk to Karina again after beating the PRO SCORE goal and she'll tell
you to Feeble(dr+A) the MARINA GRIND HOPS gap. To get the MARINA GRIND HOPS
gap, you have to grind the black, outer railing of the Marina, the one
right by the water. Go up to the top of either channel that leads down into
the Marina and jump on the outer black rail and do the Feeble(dr+A). Grind
it down into the Marina and jump at the gap, land on the short black rail
in the middle of the Marina, then jump and land on the next short rail,
then jump again and grind the other long black rail leading up out of the
Marina on the other side. You only have to Feeble once in the combo to get
credit for the goal, so if you don't Feeble at first, you have a few
chances to do one.

Beating this goal opens the small Yacht area in the East corner of the
map

-------
SKATRIS
-------

Objective: Perform 20 moves that are on the list

Once the Marina section is open, skate down to the Northern pier(the
part that stick out over the water) and at the very East end Dave will
be standing there. Talk to him and he tells you to do the moves he
calls out to impress pro skater Andrew Reynolds. This is like the other
goals where people call out moves, it's pretty easy. Use the rails
around you to do the grinds and just jump to do the simple flips and
grabs.

Beat the goal to unlock Andrew Reynolds and his moves

----------------
SICK COMBO SCORE
----------------

Objective: Score a 300,000 point combo by 8:10

After completing the COMBO LINE goal, talk to Derrick again and he
challenges you to do a 300,000 point combo by 8:10. This can be a little
hard to pull off, but it can be done with a little bit of skill. The
best way I've found to rack up the combo points is to use the ramp at
the South end of the Fountain area, the one that had the balloons on it,
to do Lip Transitions, then revert and manual over to the circle fountain
and grind it. When you come back around towards the ramp, jump off and
manual to the ramp and do some more Lip Transitions, then revert back
to the fountain and grind it, and on and on. Doing this a few times will
give you the points need to beat the goal.

You don't get anything for this goal

----------
COMBO LINE
----------

Objective: Collect the COMBO letters in one combo

After opening the Fountain section, Derrick is standing in the SE
part of it. The C is on the rail to the North of Derrick, grind it
heading West then grind the plant boxes heading NE right next to the
rail to get the O then the M. Stay on the plant boxes as it curves
back to the East, then jump to the next rail and get the B. Jump as
soon as you get the B and do a Run Out, run South to the ramp with
the O above it and get back on your board and manual up the ramp
and grab the O.

----------
SICK SCORE
----------

Objective: Score 400,000 by 5:30

Talk to the Capatain again after beating the BOAT RAIL TRICK goal
and he tells you to score 400,000 points by 5:30 to get the competition
voucher. Even on the Yacht this is easy. Use the ramp by the Captain to
pull off a couple 200,000+ point combos with Lip Transitions and you'll
have the points in no time at all. If you land in the water at all,
just score the rest of the points up in the Fountain area.

You get the competition voucher for beating this goal

---------------
BOAT RAIL TRICK
---------------

Objective: Smith the BOAT RAIL gap by 5:00

After unlocking the Yacht area, jump down to it from the East side of
the Main Drag area and talk to the Captain. He tells you to Smith(dl+A)
grind on the BOAT RAIL gap by 5:00. The BOAT GRIND is just the rail that
goes around the lower section of the boat. To make this easier, transfer
up to the higher part of the boat, then start grinding the rail near the
Main Drag area(away from the water), then let yourself fall and do the
Smith command to land and grind the lower rail. Keep your balance all
the way around, jump at the end of the rail to avoid falling and you'll
clear the goal.

The captain teases you with a competition voucher, but doesn't give
it to you for beating this goal.

-----------
COMPETITION
-----------

Objective: Medal in the competition

After completing the BOAT RAIL TRICK and you have   go to the official
standing in the middle of the Fountain area. Talk to him to start the
competition. You start down in the Marina area, in a great combo line.
Use the ramp that leads up to the Fountain area, revert and manual, then
grind the rail in the middle of the pier, then manual to the ramp at the
pier's edge and use that. Keep going back and forth to get over 300,000
points per heat and you'll win the competition.

Win the competition to unlock Tony Hawk and his moves(?) and the Slam
City Jam level. You also unlock Paul Rodriguez after the Journal screen.

-----
HORSE
-----

Objective: Score a 100000, 150000, 200000, 250000, and 300000 point combo

After beating the SICK SCORE goal, the Captain is standing in the
East section of the Main Drag area, near the Yacht. Talk to him to
start the HORSE game. Use the ramps and rails in the Main Drag and
Fountain area to rack up the combo points. The best place, in my opinion,
is the ramp at the southern end of the Fountain area that we used to
beat the SICK COMBO SCORE goal. Do Lip Transitions on it, then grind
around the circle fountain, then back to the ramp, etc etc.

You get $35 each time you win

===================
5-10. SLAM CITY JAM
===================

----------------------
SCOUT HUNT COMPETITION
----------------------

Objective: Medal in the competition

Skate South to the official to start the competition. This is the
toughest goal in the game to get because you need to average about
900,000 points per run, and the only way to do that is to make your
run one big combo. The easiest way(not that ANY way is very easy) is
to turn around from the starting point(or jump up the ramp you head
towards and pull off a trick or two, then revert and manual) and head
to the small halfpipe SE of the starting point. The one with the flags
overhead. Start some Lip Transitions on one side, then revert and manual
to the other side and do some more, then revert and manual back again,
etc etc. You want to have your combo multiplier around x25 before you
stop the combo, so you have to average about 5 Lip Transitions each
time you move to another side, and you have to switch sides at least
5 times. This is very tricky, but the last few levels should've given
you enough practice with the Lip Transition moves. I'm sure there are
other ways to rack up the 900,000+ points needed, but this is the
quickest and easiest that I've found. If you lose speed and can't quite
make it to the top of the ramp, just Ollie and revert to build some
steam back up. If you can't make the 5 Lip Transitions per pass, just
go for 4, it's easier but it means you'll have to do at least 6 "passes"
through the halfpipe.

A couple others: There's a good line that runs from the North wall with
the STRONG LIP bars over the ramp on the wall, Lip the black bars above
the ramp for the STRONG LIP bonus, then fall and revert and manual and
go back up or grind the rail West of the ramps, then jump and grind
the smaller rail that curves to the NW, then go up the ramp the rail
ends in front of, maual up the ramp and sdo some Lip Transitions,
go down, back over the rails to the other ramp, etc et. The timing of
the jumps between the rails is easy to mess up, so I don't like this
line very much.

Lastly, there's a big ramp in the SW corner of the level, this is
another place you can do the Lip Transition chain over and over, but
it's harder to keep your speed up than the halfpipe under the flag.

Medal in the competition and you unlock Arto Saari and Mike Valley
and their moves.

Oh yeah, and you beat the GAME! Congratulations! Now enjoy the short,
and not-very-good ending credits and get to work on Arcade mode!

7.                           TO DO LIST
========================================================================

Done! There may be a gap list in the future, but right now I'm a bit
burned out on the game. There probably won't be another update for a
little bit, maybe a month or so.

Thanks for reading!

8.                        ABOUT THE AUTHOR
========================================================================

This is just one of a few FAQs I've written, all of which are
available at GameFAQS. A few my FAQs are on various other websites
(usually with proper creditO_o) as well. I hope this or any of the other
FAQs I've written help you in some way, or allow you to enjoy a game
more than before, or maybe just get a good read out of it.

If you have any questions about this game, or any other I've
written a FAQ for, feel free to drop me an E-Mail. BUT keep in
mind a few things:

1. Please don't ask when the next revision will be out, or if I
can send it to you, or if I can help you with a part not covered in the
FAQ yet.  I don't really have a set schedule for these things, and you
can pick up the FAQ(s) at GameFAQs.

2. Please don't ask about something already covered in the FAQ.
Usually once a FAQ comes out I'm swamped with E-Mails and skip
ones that are covered in the FAQ.

3. Don't mail asking for codes, I don't have a Gameshark or keep
track of cheat codes or anything.

Other than that, I try to answer every single E-Mail I get and
am usually pretty good at getting back to people quickly, but
sometimes I lose letters in my computer or forget to keep them as
new. If I don't answer in a week or so it's safe to say I won't
be getting back to you, sorry.

My E-Mail address is available on the GAMEFAQs site
