Chapter 2: Game Play
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<---------->
Controls
<---------->

The controls of Super Mario World are very straightforward, as they are with
all of the Super Mario games.

A Button: Jump/Forward In Menus

B Button: This button has two functions:
          Holding B while moving in a direction will make the character run.
          Moving and tapping B as the character moves will cause him to spin.

R Button: Spin Jump. When you're on the world map this switches between Mario
          and Luigi.
          Note: If either player has Yoshi, Yoshi will be switched as well.

L Button: Look in whatever direction you're facing (doesn't work in all
          areas.)
          When you're on the world map, this allows you to search around the
          different Worlds.

Start Button: Bring Up Pause Menu. With three options, four if you've beaten
              the level.

Select Button: Drop item from Item Box.
               When you're on the world map this will show a screen. On this
               screen is Peach crying for help, a timer showing how many hours,
               minutes and seconds you've played, number of levels Mario and
               Luigi have completed, and a large table showing the name of the
               worlds the you have completed. Along with a a box showing who
               has beaten the level (M for Mario and L for Luigi). It will also
               have a circle, if it's filled it means you have collected the
               Yoshi Coins for the level, if blank, you haven't collected them
               yet.

<--------------->
Modes Of Play
<--------------->

Super Mario World comes with two seperate modes of play. The first, and
biggest attraction for the game is it's side scrolling Super Mario World port.
The other mode of play is the originail Super Mario Brothers arcade game from
1983.

Super Mario World play mode is basicaly the same type of play as in Super
Mario World for the Super Nintendo. In this mode you will travel across the
8 + worlds. The objective of each level is to reach the goal at the end while
avoiding things such as falling to your death and getting hit by the different
enemies. Much more of this will be explained in the following sections, so
I'll just leave it to this.

Super Mario Brothers is a modified version of the classic arcade game that
debuted back in 1983. The objective of this mode of play is to advance in the
levels by knocking out sevearl bad guys or collecting coins depending on the
type of level it is. Every so often there will be a bonus stage where you
must try to collect all of the coins on the screen for a big points bonus
(points being the main objective of this play type.)

<---------------->
So What's New?
<---------------->

Super Mario World for the Game Boy Advance offers a few new additions from the
Super Nintendo Version:

• You can now choose between Mario and Luigi on the World Map by pressing
  L and R.

• Mario and Luigi now have differences between them.

• Voices have been added to Mario, Luigi and other characters.

• High scores are saved.

• Yoshi coins are now in Casltes.

• Special Coins are now present.

• New status screen (Press select on the main map).

• Princess Coins avalible to be obtained when all the Yoshi Coins are
  collected.

• You now need to beat all 96 goals to get the "alternate" world instead of
  just beating the Special Star World.

• If you have a Power Up and you get hit, you go back to basic Big Mario/Luigi,
  instead of being small immediately.

• If you collect 11 or more lives in a row, you will hear the character you play
  as say "Bravo 'character's name'" and a sign on the top right corner showing
  how many lives collected enclosed with a flower on it's right and left side
  will scroll across the top of the screen.

• Once you've completed all 96 goals, on the World Map, push select and you'll
  see a list of levels. Well with all 96 goals completed, you can now select
  which levels you want to go to because an arrow is now added in. Selecting the
  level will automatically warp you to that location. This saves a lot of time,
  rather then walking all around. ^_^

• Once you've "unlocked" certain color Yoshi's, you now draw them at random
  from Yoshi Blocks. However, there are exceptions in the game, depending on what
  power you have.

       - If you have the Feather, you will get a Blue Yoshi.
       - If you have the Flower, you will get a Red Yoshi.
       - If you are just normal Mario or Luigi, which ever Yoshi you get will be
         comepletly random.

• Eating 10 berries will get your certain items depending on what type of Yoshi
  you are (source: Scizor CT) of the GameFAQs message boards:

  Green Yoshi: Mushroom

  Red Yoshi: Fire Flower

  Blue Yoshi: Flying Feather

  Yellow Yoshi: Invincible Star

• You can also push Yoshi around when your not on him.

<----------------->
Mario or Luigi?
<----------------->

After years of neglect, Luigi is finally making is way back as a worthwhile
character into several of the Mario games. In Super Mario World you have the
option of selecting either Mario or Luigi when you start a level. Unlike the
Super Nintendo version of this game, selecting either of the characters does
make a difference. Here's a breakdown of each character:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Mario:

Mario, like in most other "Mario" games, is an all-around character. He's
neither good nor bad at any task, and he is able to perform all of the
missions relatively easily.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Luigi:

Luigi has a better jump than Mario, as he uses his shaking feet to somehow
propel himself up in the air further. While Luigi does have a better jump, he
also suffers from a control problem. It will take the new user a little bit
of time to get Luigi "broken in" as he tends to slip slightly which can cost
you big in tight spots. He's also better at flying then Mario because of his
jumping capabilities.

Other diferences between Mario and Luigi include:

- As Mario, there are some blocks when you hit them, they sometimes give
  lots coins one by one. If you hit those blocks with Luigi, all the coins will
  scatter out for Luigi.

- When Luigi is riding on Yoshi and Yoshi eats an enemy, normally he'll eat it
  like he does with Mario, but with Luigi, Yoshi keeps the enemy in his mouth
  and he can shoot it back out at another enemy.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<------->
Yoshi
<------->

Everyone's favorite Green Dinosuar, Yoshi, has made his triumpth return to the
Game Boy Advance (yes, he was in a demo a few years ago.)  Yoshi adds a whole
new element to the classic Super Mario game type, as a useful powerup and a
burden at the same time.

Yoshi can usually be obtained by finding his egg in a [?] block in just about
all of the levels. The first time you find him (which should be in World 1,
Level 2) a short text message will appear explaining how Yoshi and his friends
have been imprisoned in these eggs by Bowser and they need your help to be set
free.

Here's a list of things that occur when you're riding on Yoshi:

• You automaticly get a free hit, as Yoshi will simply run off after you've
  been hit while riding him.

• Press the B button to deploy Yoshi's toungue. Yoshi can suck up most enemies
  in front of him. He will usually swallow them with the following exceptions:

       • If Yoshi sucks up an enemy with a shell he will be able to spit that
       shell back out towards enemy delivering a powerful long range attack.

       • If Yoshi is a color other than green special conditions will occur
       (keep reading a little further in this section for more information.)

• Yoshi has the ability to jump on many more things without taking damage than
  Mario or Luigi. For example: Yoshi is able to jump on top of spiny cactuses
  and spikes that Mario would ordinairily take damage from.

• While riding Yoshi, Mario or Luigi can only hover. Mario or Luigi is unable
  to fly and glide with his cape.

• Mario or Luigi can not climb a vine while riding Yoshi.

• Mario or Luigi can't pick up blocks while riding Yoshi.

• To get off of Yoshi, Press the R button to execute a spin jump. This can be
  very useful in getting Mario or Luigi extra jumping distance, such as on the
  Bridge in the 4th World where you can find a secret level by ditching Yoshi
  and spin jumping to a previously unreachable ledge.

That's not all about Yoshi!  Yoshi come in different types and colors, making
this FAQ author type another whole paragraph about them ;-]. Here's a
breakdown of the different types of Yoshi's and what they do:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Blue Yoshi:

When Blue Yoshi sucks up an enemy, he sprouts wings and is able to fly for
several seconds before this power runs out. Blue Yoshi is probably the most
useful Yoshi in the game, so make try your hardest not to have him run away
when you're using him.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Yellow Yoshi:

Yellow Yoshi has the ability to stomp very hard on any objects below it after
sucking up an enemy. This power doesn't have very many uses, and he's my
least favorite Yoshi.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Red Yoshi:

When Red Yoshi sucks up an enemy, he is able to spit 3 large fireballs back at
the enemies he's facing. This is quite useful for killing tough enemies.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Green Yoshi:

Green Yoshi is the typical, average Yoshi. This is the Yoshi that you will
see for most of the game, and he has no extraordinary abilities. However, when
Green Yoshi sucks up a shelled creature of the same color as a Yoshi listed
above, he obtains the power of that Yoshi.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<--------------->
The Spin Jump
<--------------->

The Spin Jump is Mario/Luigi's special move in the game. The Spin Jump has
several advantages and disadvanteges just like Yoshi. Here's a breakdown of
the spin jump:

• Press R to spin jump

• Spin jumping will allow you to break through blocks below you as long as
  they're breakable and you're atleast Big Mario.

• Spin jumping is how you get off of Yoshi's back when the need arrises.

• The Spin Jump has a more powerful landing impact then a regular jump, so
  you're able to kill with shells with just one jump.

• With the Spin Jump you can bounce off enemies such as ghosts without taking
  damage.

• You jump a lot less high with spin jump, so it's only general use is in
  special situations when you have to break blocks or jump over certain enemies.

<---------------------------->
Haunted Houses and Castles
<---------------------------->

Just about all of the Worlds in Super Mario World have atleast 1 Haunted House
in them. All of the Worlds contain a Castle. In each of these Yoshi will
have to wait at the door, because he's apparently afraid to enter.

Haunted Houses all contain ghosts within their walls. You may find that
ghosts are some of the most anoying enemies in this game, as there tend to be a
lot of them around at once. Also, most Haunted Houses are non-linear and you
have to find hidden doors in order to find an exit.

Castles are at the end of every level. They all are homes for one of Bowser's
eight kids who you have to fight at the end of each castle. Castles tend to
have lots of lava and moving blocks to obstruct your path. When you finally
do make it to the end of a castle you'll be in for a tough fight, as the bosses
all tend to have several tricks up their sleaves. Usually you have to knock
the boss into lava somehow, but there are a few exceptions to this rule. Once
each castle has been defeated there is a small text message about how Mario
defeated the evil tyrant inside and a usually rather-funny clip showing Mario
blowing up the castle.

Ordinarily you can't go back into a caslte, but if you hold select when you're
on a caslte square you will be able to go into that caslte.

<------------------------------->
The Flag Poll and Bonus Areas
<------------------------------->

At the end of every level in Super Mario World is a dual-flag pole that's a
little different then that in Mario's previous games. This flag pole has a
bar going up and down it. The objective here is to get Mario to hit the
moving bar at its highest point in order to get the most amount of points.
Once you've accumulated 100 points or more you'll be sent to a bonus screen.

On the bonus screen you have an opportunity to rack up as many extra life
mushrooms as you can. To do this you need to match 3 of the same type of icons
in a Row. These matches can go along the top, bottem, left, right, up-down or
left-right in the middle or diagonaly across the top. For example, if you have
3 Fire Flowers along the right side you will earn an extra life. In order to
select the extra life you'll have to time your jumps so that you hit the square
exactly when the item of your choice comes up. It's tricky, but it is possible
to time the jumps correctly.

<------------->
Extra Lives
<------------->

Super Mario World is very generous when it comes to dishing out Extra Lives.
Here are the following ways to get an extra life:

• Collect a 1-Up Mushroom (it's like a regular mushroom but it is green and
  white)

• Score 100 Coins

• Collect All 5 Yoshi Coins in a level

• Stomp on more than 8 enemies in a row without hitting the ground to earn an
  extra life for each additional enemy that you stomp on.

• Kill atleast 8 enemies in a row when you're invincible to get an extra life.
  You'll get an extra life for each enemy after 8 that you kill.

• Witness a shell hitting atleast 8 other enemies to get an extra life for each
  additional enemy it kills.

• If you carry a block across the flag pole, you will get an extra life.

• Collecting 8 and more Silver Coins will get you more lives.

Here are some other places where you can score a great deal of extra lives:

• In certain pipes there will be an ascending group of platforms with three
  blocks in them. One out of the three blocks contains the extra life, but if
  you hit it before hitting the other two blocks all of the blocks will turn
  brown and you won't be able to get an extra life from that row.

• You can get an extra life for each row you match up in the bonus round. (See
  above in the Flag Pole/Bonus section.)

<------------->
High Scores
<------------->

New to the Game Boy Advance version of the game is the recording of high
scores. In the Super Nintendo version high scores did not really mean anything,
but in this game you will be able to record your high scores and even continue
that high score when you continue your game. More will come in this section in
future versions.

Chapter 4: Items
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<---------->
Powerups
<---------->

Mario can collect many different items that allow him to increase in strength
and have more functionability. Here is a list of all of the powerups that Mario
or Luigi can get:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Mushroom:

The basic powerup. This makes Mario larger, and he gains an additional hit.
Mario also gains the ability to break blocks while spin jumping and he
obviously can get items that are high up thanks to his boost in height.
When Mario is hit in this stage he shrinks to small Mario.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Fire Flower:

The Fire Flower has lost it's "Best Powerup" status after the release of Super
Mario Brothers 3, however it's still a useful item. When Mario gets the Fire
Flower he gets a total of 2 hits before dieing. He also gets all of the powers
that Big Mario gets as well as the ability to shoot out projectile fireballs by
pressing the B button. This is very useful in underwater levels, making Fire
Flower Mario the best choice for a level where you're swimming. When Fire
Flower Mario is hit he reverts back to Big Mario.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Flying Feather:

When Mario picks up a Flying Feather he becomes Super Mario (like Super Man who
also wears a cape... get it?) Super Mario is one of the best forms in the game
as Mario gains several important powerups. Super Mario has all of the abilites
that Big Mario does as well as the following:  Super Mario is able to Fly when
you run for an extended distance of time. When Mario is flying he can go for
very long distances if you hover with him. To hover when flying, head down to
get some speed and then head back up to get your altitude back. You can keep
doing this for as long as you don't screw up and fall down to the ground. While
flying Mario also has the ability to pull into a sharp nosedive by hitting down
where, if you're really accurate, you can deliver a powerful blow on those
below you. Not only is Super Mario great for his abilities in the air, he also
has an easier time on the ground. Super Mario has the ability to spin his cape
by pressing the B button that will kill just about anything in Super Mario's
way. Plus, the cape flapping is a great defensive move too. Finally, when Super
Mario is hit he will revert back to Big Mario.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Balloon:

When Mario picks up a ballon he "inflates" himself so much that he now is
ligther than air. This means that Mario will be pulled up, but you can stay
level if you hit down. The Balloon is a very important powerup for some of the
more challenging stages and for getting secrets. Warning:  Make sure you're over
ground when Mario starts blinking back and forth between inflated Mario and
regular Mario because the inflation is about to run out.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Star:

When Mario collects a Star he is invincible for about 10 seconds. During this
time nothing can stop Mario (except for falling off of a cliff to his death.)
Also, the more enemies you kill while invincible, the more points you rack up.
Once you've killed 8 enemies you will start to gain an extra life for each
additional enemy that you kill while the star remains effective. See the "Extra
Lives" subsection in Chapter 2.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Cloud:

Whenever you knock out a Lakitu in a cloud (he is the enemy that throws spikes
your way) via any throwable object (jumping will not work) you will be able to
hop in the cloud and take it for a joyride. When you're in the cloud you can
hover for as long as you want until the cloud wears about (about 15-20 seconds
after you hop in.)  This makes it very easy to get to hidden passages *way* up
in the sky. Being in the cloud gives you no special health benefits, though.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
1-Up Mushrooms:

1-Up Mushrooms, while they don't physically effect Mario are very helpful. For
each 1-Up Mushroom that you collect you will earn an extra life. See the "Extra
Lives" subsection in Chapter 2 for more information.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<------->
Coins
<------->

There are a few types of coins in Super Mario World. The first type of coins
are your regular, run of the mill, coins that are spread just about everywhere
throughout the map. You can get multiple coins from a Multi Block. If you're
anyone but small Mario, when you hit these blocks all of the coins will explode
out allowing you to collect about 10 coins. However, if you're small Mario you
will have to jump up at the block several times to collect most of the coins.

Another form of coins are large Yoshi coins. These are usually hidden, but not
so much that they are annoying. Each Yoshi coin provides you with 2000 points,
and when you collect 5 of them you will earn a dandy extra life.

A new element that was not in the Super Nintendo game are Large Coins. When you
collect these coins, a number will appear on the bottem of the screen. You need
to collect all of the coins in the area to get that number to zero. This is
usually a very challenging act, and it will take a lot of practice to perfect.

<---------------->
Colored Blocks
<---------------->

There are four different types of colored blocks in Super Mario World. When you
first see the blocks they will be a dotted colored line, as you have not yet
unleashed the power of the large (!) point that makes these blocks solid. See
the walkthrough for the location of these blocks. Here's a breakdown of what
they are and what they do:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Yellow Blocks:

All Yellow Blocks contain within them a Mushroom that you get by hitting the
bottem of it, just like finding a mushroom in a [?] block.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Green Blocks:

All Green Blocks contain within them a Flying Feather. These are the most
useful blocks in the game.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Pink and Blue Blocks:

Both of these blocks don't contain any items within them. However, you will
usually find these providing a walkway to a secret area, thus it is important
to find the large (!) switch that solidifies these blocks.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<-------------->
Top Item Box
<-------------->

A helpful element in Super Mario World is the item box located in the
top-central part of the screen. This Item Box contains the last item that you
had. For example, if you currently are Big Mario and get a Flying Feather, a
Mushroom will appear up top. If you are Super Mario and get a Fire Flower,
there will be a Flying Feather in the top item box. This is very useful as a
backup incase you take too much damage, etc. The item will automaticaly fall
when you've shrunk to regular Mario, and you can manually make it fall by
pressing Select. Also, the item in the item box will stay with you if you
advance a level or fall off a cliff.

=================================
<<-  World 1: Yoshi's Island  ->>
=================================

<--------------->
Yoshi's House
<--------------->

Super Mario World starts off in Yoshi's House. Here you learn that the Princess
has been captured and that Bowser has imprisoned Yoshi's across the world. So,
it's up to you to save the Princess and the Yoshi's from Bowser's evil kids.

<------------------>
Yoshi's Island 1
<------------------>

Location: 1 Circle to the left of Yoshi's House

Synopsis: This is an easy, run of the mill level to start off the game. This
          level has no large jumps, very few hidden areas and is easy to
          complete no matter what the skill level.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Just after the start of the level hovering above an inclined hill.

2) Hovering in the air after a series of three inclined hills.

3) Spin jump 2 yellow blocks over a purple pipe. Head down the pipe and spin
   jump the blocks trapping the Yoshi Coin.

4) A little after the checkpoint. It's up on a large hill with several
   dinosaurs running below it.

5) Right before the goal, after a piranah pipe.

Points of Interest:

- There's a mushroom that pops up when you run past a bush right after the
  second Yoshi coin.

- A 1-Up is located shortly after the 4th Yoshi Coin. It's in a yellow block to
  the left of several clouds. Pick up the red shell under the block and throw
  it up to reveal the 1-Up.

Hidden Areas: None

Difficulty: 1 / 5

<-------------------->

Location: You'll go up a ladder after beating Yoshi's Island 1, through a lake
          and up another ladder.

Synopsis: This is a fun bonus level with an oppurtunity to score several extra
          lives by collecting massive numbers of coins. Simply hit the pow
          switch and collect as many coins as you can in 10 seconds.

Difficulty: 1 / 5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------>
Yoshi's Island 2
<------------------>

Location: One square to the right of the Yoshi House.

Synopsis: This is another easy level, but it does have a few more secrets than
          the previous level. Plus, this is the first level in which you get to
          ride on Yoshi (see the Yoshi subsection in Chapter 2 for more
          information.)

Yoshi Coins:

1) After the first ledge with the many turtles, you'll find this Yoshi Coin
   hovering in the air.

2) This coin is hovering at the top of an arc of several small coins over a
   bush shortly after Yoshi.

3) This coin is located in the air after the ledge with the football player on
   it near the middle of the stage.

4) Hit the right-most yellow block on the ledge with the two gophers to reveal
   a beanstock. Climb up and find this Yoshi Coin hovering in the middle of the
   cloud ledge.

5) Hop down to the right from the clouds to find this Yoshi coin above a ledge.

Points of Interest:

- At the start of the level there is a shell. Pick it up, and throw it when
  you're on top of the small ledge. Keep running with it to knock over 8 red
  Koopa Troopers to earn an extra life.

- It's possible to score a Mushroom by eating just about all of the Berries in
  this level.

- Head down the purple pipe near the end of the level. Pick up one of the
  blocks here and throw it at the hovering block. This block is hovering at
  medium height a little to the right of the center blocks.

- At the end of the level hit the Pow Block to run on top of the coins and be
  able to get a high-score on the end goal.

Difficulty: 1 / 5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------>
Yoshi's Island 3
<------------------>

Location: North of Yoshi's Island 2

Synopsis: This level is a little more difficult than the other levels because
          you have to do a good deal of jumping. At some points in this level
          you'll need to jump to ledges without the aid of a floor below you,
          so jump with semi-caution.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head up the ledges at the beginning of the level and across some contracting
   blocks. This coin is hovering after the second large ledge.

2) Swing down on a swinging ledge with three coins hovering to the right of it.
   There is a yellow pipe down below it that leads to a sub-level with several
   coins and a pow block. Hit the pow block and run across the blocks. This
   coin is hovering right to the right of the last block.

3) This coin is located directly after the checkpoint.

4) This coin is hovering near the end of a series of contracting blocks.

5) This coin is hovering to the left of the final platform leading to the goal.

Points of Interest:

- There's a star block located near the end of the level. If you're quick you
  can score a 1-Up from this.

Difficulty: 1.5 / 5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------>
Yoshi's Island 4
<------------------>

Location: The next square northeast of Yoshi's Island 3.

Synopsis: This level is rather different from the previous levels as it
          features a new obstacle: Water. Don't let yourself drown in the water
          or else you'll lose a life. There's also a chance for several extra
          lifes thanks to a star and pow block at the middle part of the level.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is very near the start of the level. It's hovering somewhat high,
   directly above the first large jump.

2) Head past the purple pipe to find this coin hovering above a small ledge in
   the water.

3) Throw the red shell up at the pow block. Now, hit the pow block and run
   across the new brown blocks. You'll be able to run right into this Yoshi
   Coin.

4) This coin is hovering near the end of the level.

5) This coin is hovering over a tree top ledge near the end of the level.

Points of Interest:

- When you get to about the middle of the level there is a red shell. Throw it
  above to the pow block above the yellow block. Hit the pow block and then get
  the star in the block to the right. Kill all enemies in your way, and
  specificly go after the mines in the water to score extra lives.

Difficulty: 1.5 / 5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------>
#1 Iggy's Castle
<------------------>

Location: Northwest of Yoshi's Island 4

Synopsis: This is the first caslte in the game, so be prepared for a stepped up
          difficulty and a boss at the end. See Castles and Haunted Houses
          subsection in Chapter 2 for more information.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin can be obtained by simply climbing along the second fence.

2) This coin is located right after the fireball coming up from the lava pit.
   You'll need to go to the "switch" fence a little after to end up on the other
   side of the fence in order to get this coin.

3) This is another coin that you will need to switch to get. It's located on
   the third set of fences and is surronded by several climbing Koopa Troopas.

4) This coin is hovering in the area where the second large pipe comes down to
   crush you in the second part of the level. There's a small gap under the
   pipe for ducking that may make it slightly difficult to get the coin.

5) You'll have to time it correctly in order to get this coin without taking
   damage. It's located just to the left of the boss door, hovering over a
   contracting set of yellow blocks and under a large pipe. Go for this coin as
   the large pipe is coming up and the contracting block is going out.

BOSS: Iggy

Iggy isn't particulary tough, but it could be rather easy to die if you go
about beating him wrong the wrong way. The objective is to knock him into the
Lava by jumping on him several times when the sloping platform is sloping the
same way. So, jump on him a few times and then be patient as he shoots
fireballs at you until the slope comes back your way. Once it does, jump on
his head and send him into the inferno.

You can also rush him by having full power (meaning having either Flower or
Feather) and since he starts near a corner, when it slopes down right (assuming
he's on the right side) quickly jump on him to force his death into the lava
fast.

Points of Interest:

- It's possible to score a ton of extra lives in this level. For each enemy
  that you kill when hanging on the wire without hitting the floor, you will
  earn points towards an extra life. Kill eight enemies before touching the
  floor to start scoring extra lives.

===============================
<<-  World 2: Donut Plains  ->>
===============================

<---------------->
Donut Plains 1
<---------------->

Location: Southern most circle of the world. Directly north from Yoshi's Island

Synopsis: This level introduces an all new elemnet: Flying Feathers.
          Simply jump on any of the flying creatures with red capes in this
          level to reveal a flying feather. This level also introduces
          Watermellons that allow you to run up the side of large vertical
          things in front of you (as long as you're not riding a Yoshi who
          simply hops when going over these watermellons.)

          Further still another new element is introduced:
          The ability to get keys to reveal secret exits to the level that lead
          to other levels. See the Level Exit section to find out the different
          level exits.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is hovering above the first set up 3 hill-platforms with the
   flying cape men coming at you.

2) This coin is located after a large fire ball spitting flower near the middle
   of the stage. It's hovering above a few hill-platforms and before a purple
   pipe.

3) This coin is located on top of a cloud past the middle of the stage. Get the
   Yoshi, then find a lower area with two football players throwing baseball as
   you. Hit the right-most block of the set of blocks above the football player
   on the left to expose a vine that you can climb up and get the coin.

4) Drop of the cloud where Coin 3 is going right to find a fireball spewing
   plant. This coin is right next to it.

5) This coin is near the end of the level. It is located directly to the left
   of a large green pipe after 4 caped enemies come after you.

Points of Interest:

- There is a purple pipe directly after the second Yoshi Coin that leads to a
  1-Up pipe area (see Chapter 2.)

- When you come out of the 1-Up pipe there is another purple pipe going
  downwards. Go through this pipe to find a large open area a coin block on top
  of the first set of pipes you can climb. Hit the coin block to see a counter
  of 600 coins. Collect all the coins to recieve 3 1-Ups and some birds to
  follow you, only for that area. Once you leave, the birds leave.

- There are a few Clouds with several coins on them located high up in the
  level starting directly after you get your first Flying Feather.

Exits:

-The standard goal is located just at the end of the level.

-A secret exit is located near the end of the level, on a high up yellow pipe.
 You'll need to hit the Green Block Switch before getting this, as you'll need
 to run up a series of green blocks thanks to a watermellon to get up to this
 height (although it's possible to fly up here if you give it enough practice.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------->
Donut Plains 2
<---------------->

Location: Northwest of Donut Plains 1. It looks like it has a baseball clove
          around it.

Synopsis: This is the first automaticly scrolling level that you will
          experience and it is also the first cave level you will experience.
          The big hard point of this level is getting caught against the side
          of the screen and an immovable object. This will result in instant
          death regardless of powerups that you have on. Also watch out for the
          various shell enemies that you won't want to send flying in order to
          reduce the risk of getting hit. The moving earth can be quite tricky
          in this level, and you'll have to act fast. This is especially true
          in the middle of the level where you're at risk of getting trapped
          unless you don't move right away. This level, as well, has a secret
          exit.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located at the first yellow earth going up and down. Hop on it
   and easily get this coin when the earth is at its highest point.

2) This coin is located after a series of Yellow moving earths that go up. It's
   directly below the green pipe that you use to get to a secret exit of the
   level.

3) This coin is in a small passageway a little after Coin 2. By the time you've
   reached this coin the moving earths no longer appear (for now.)

4) This coin is located just past the end of the passageway where Coin 3 is.
   It's actually on the left of the first upward moving yellow earth after this
   passageway.

5) This coin is located hovering after the moving earth that Coin 4 was on.
   It's in plain site and not very hard to find.

Points of Interest:

Exits:

- There are two ways to get to the normal exit. You can simply follow the auto
  scrolling until you reach the end of the level by not going up any pipes.
  However, you can also hop up a pipe near the middle of the level directly
  after a Green Block. This is a quick shortcut to getting to the end of the
  level, as you just need to go right a short distance to find an exit. Note:
  You'll need to go out the long way in order to get all of the Yoshi coins.

- The secret exit also has you going up the pipe in the middle of the level.
  This time you'll need to reach the top part of the screen where a hole in
  the celing is. There are a few ways to do this. The easiest way would be just
  to eat the blue shell with Yoshi and fly up to there. You can also fly up
  there when you are Super Mario (the Mario with a cape.)  You could also hit
  the top yellow block to reveal a vine you can climb by either flying up to it
  or shooting the blue shell up with it. Note:  You must be atleast Big Mario
  to get this exit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<--------------------->
Green Switch Palace
<--------------------->

Location: To the left of Donut Plains 2. You need to go out of the secret exit
          in Donut Plains 2 to reach this level. It is not visible until you
          go out of this exit.

Synopsis: In this bonus area, there will be a shell and a pow block on the
          level that you're on. Hit the pow block, then get right next to the
          coin gap and shoot it down. The goal is to have it hit the back wall,
          then run with it to get an extra life. The switch is located in the
          next room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------->
Donut Ghost House
<------------------->

Location: Northeast of Donut Plains 2.

Synopsis: This ghost house has quite a few ghosts in it, but very little of
          them will actually attack you.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This Yoshi Coin is located in the large room with the many ghosts. It's
   after about the third gap that you jump over.

2) Go through the door at the end of the big room. In this next room go through
   the door on the right. This Yoshi Coin is located directly to the left of
   you when you get through this door.

3) After getting the second Yoshi Coin, hit the yellow block and then the pow
   that comes out of it. Follow the coin arrow that says to go left and go
   through the blue door. In this room there are three blocks. You can hit the
   coin block above you to reveal a coin path gonig in various directions
   (this will be a block path until the pow wears off.)  The Yoshi coin is
   directly above the brown block there, and you can get it by jumping from the
   solid blocks you created, or from jumping from the Help block.

4) Exit the room where Yoshi Coin 4 is, and go through the yellow door in the
   room once more. Now you'll find yourself in the same place where you were to
   get Coin 2. This time, instead of hitting the yellow block, jump up and go
   back throug the yellow door. This coin will be located to the left of where
   you end up.

5) Hit the yellow block near Coin 4 to reveal a vine. Climb this vine to find
   the Yoshi Coin.

Points of Interest:

- There are sevreal extra lives that you can get if you take the secret exit
  path. They are the yellow blocks before the door (Look below for more
  details)

Exits:

- The first exit can be found by following the Yoshi Coin path. After Coin 5
  simply head to the left and out the door.

- To reveal this exit you'll need to have atleast 1 Flying Feater. From the
  start of the level go to the right of the first ledge but don't jump the gap.
  Instead, run backwards and fly up the left wall of the level. If you don't
  get hit by ghosts along the way, you'll find yourself on top of what appears
  to be the celing of the level. Head right until you drop down to an area with
  several 1-Up mushrooms. Head out the door here to find the secret exit
  revealing to Donut Plains Top Secret Area.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<----------------->
Top Secret Area
<----------------->

Location: North of Donut Ghost House.

Synopsis: This is basicly a refill your power level. The two blocks on the left
          will give you the Fire Flower if your big. The Two blocks on the
          right will give Flying Feathers if your big. If your small, either
          side will give you Mushrooms. The center block will give you a Yoshi
          or a life if you already have a Yoshi.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------->
Donut Plains 3
<---------------->

Location: Directly to the right of Donut Ghost House. A bridge will form once
          you beat Donut Ghost House.

Synopsis: This is one of the first "moving platform" levels in which you need
          to hop across many swining and moving platforms without falling (as
          there is no ground to fall on.)

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is rotating around on the first rotating grey platforms.

2) To get this coin, suck up the blue Koopa Troopa to the right of Coin 1.
   Then, fly up to the clouds and find this coin near the right hand edge of
   the cloud.

3) Coin #3 is located right before the mid-point of the level. Hop onto the
   brown platform, where you'll have to negotiate through the black-line path.
   Hit the "on" switch which will bring you along the platform. The Yoshi Coin
   is hovering at the end of this path.

4) From the mid-point of the level, hop on the brown platform and it will
   automaticaly take you along the path to this coin hovering before the yellow
   pipe.

5) Note: If you went through the 1-Up pipe, you'll need to head to the left to
   get this. From Coin 4, head to the right. You'll find this on one of the
   rotating gray platforms to the left of the large, orange pipe.

Points of Interest:

- This is the first level in which you can suck up a blue turtle shell. This
  will allow Yoshi to fly for about 15 seconds, and you'll be able to get to a
  semi-hidden cloud platform.

- There is a 1-Up Pipe right after Coin 4. It is yellow and is hovering in the
  air.

- If you're quick, there is a Star Block at the end of the level that will turn
  into a 1-Up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------->
Donut Plains 4
<---------------->

Location: Southeast of Donut Plains 3.

Synopsis: This is an interesting level. It introduces a new type of Koopa
          Troopa, a multi colored turtle. If you suck this turtle up, you will
          gain the abilities of all Yoshis for a short amount of time. The
          level also has some new forms of pipes that vary their height.
          There's nothing too tricky about them, but make sure you don't
          underestimate hopping onto any of them. Yet another new thing in this
          level are the hammer throwing enemies flying around on clouds. The
          best way to kill these is to hit the cloud blocks below them. Once
          you do this, the enemy will be killed and you'll be allowed to ride
          their cloud.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located on top of a hill near the beginning of the level. Hop
   up onto the Green pipe to be able to jump to the hill.

2) This coin is hovering near the middle of the level. It is after a large hill
   with several moles, blocks, and Koopa Troopas. It's right before a Purple
   Pipe that spits the Pirhana Plant up.

3) To get this coin, you need to go down the purple pipe with the Pirhana Plant
   shooting out of it that's very close to the 2nd Coin. Down here there are a
   *ton* of flying red Koopa Troopas. In order to get the coin, you'll need to
   bank off the Red Flying Koopa Troopas over the gap when they're moving up,
   so they act like a staircase. Another easy way to do this is to hop on top
   of the green exit-pipe and simply jump back for the coin when there aren't
   any Koopa Troopas in your way.

4) This coin is very easy to get. It's located in a ditch a little after the
   mid-point of the level. Before you pick this up, you may want to get the
   Yoshi in the Item Block on the left ditch.

5) This is another coin that is in plain view, but can be a little tricky to
   get if you didn't get the Invincibility Star from the rotating item block
   (see the Points of Interest section.) It's simply hoverying above a ditch
   near the Exit Arrow sign.  The thing that is tricky about it is that there
   are a ton of moles falling that you'll have to avoid or risk losing a life.

Points of Interest:

- There is a purple pipe in the beginning of the level (right after the first
  height-varying pipe) that leads you to several height varying pipes. There
  really isn't much point to this, as you don't get any extra lives or Yoshi
  coins.

- After the 4th Yoshi Coin, there is a rotating item block.  Hit this block
  right when the Flying Feather appears to get the Invincibility Star. Once you
  get the star, start head-hunting the falling Gophers. Once you kill 8 of them
  you will start to get extra lives for each enemy you kill. You can get
  atleast 2 or 3 extra lives quite easily out of this. This also makes it much
  easier to get to the end of the level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------->
Donut Secret 1
<---------------->

Location: North (in the water) of Donut Plains 1. You need to go out the secret
          exit of Donut Plains 1 to be able to get to this level.

Synopsis: This is a standard underwater level. It's best to have a Fire Flower
          going into this, as they best kill the various fish that come at you.
          The nastiest enemy in this level are the sleeping fish. If you have a
          Fire Flower, it's best to go after them offensively, but if you don't
          try sneaking past them by swimming slow.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located a little into the level, above a row of item blocks.
   You'll have to kill the sleeping fish that's resting below it, or you'll
   probably be hit.

2) Head a little to the right of Coin 1 to find a purple pipe leading up. Go up
   it to reach an area that is not under water. Instead, there is an item block
   with a balloon in it that you will need to pick up. Once you get the balloon
   you will start automaticaly ascending. When you start ascending, head to the
   left where you will see a platform with an item block on it. This item block
   contains another balloon which will allow you to continue your ascent. Keep
   going, sticking to the left. Try to ascend quickly, and you'll find a
   Yoshi's Coin on the left.

3) Right after getting Coin 2, head to the right and hover over a yellow block
   and wait until you fall. If you've done it right, you should land on a
   yellow block. Head to the right most block, and you should see another Yoshi
   Coin to your right. Jump to it, and hope you get it as you can't try again
   (without dieing or going back into the level.)

4) Head out of the Coin 2/3 area. Right as you get out of the pipe, head down
   into the gap to find this Yoshi Coin.

5) This coin is a little to the right of the 4th coin. It's to the right of a
   sleeping fish, inbetween two purple blocks. Kill the fish and pick up one
   of the blocks to get this coin.

6) After #5, keep swimming right until you see a POW in sight. Swim right to
   the wall and a bit up to see another coin on the other side. Once you see
   it, you can get it by swimming under the wall then going up on the other
   side.

7) After swimming across the Key Hole, swim up to the wall that has coins and
   fishes on its other side. Swim up this wall until your off screen. Walk on
   the top of it to find another coin.

Points of Interest:

- See the Yoshi Coin #2 section of this level for information about the
  above-ground area in this level.

Exits:

- The normal exit can be obatined by just swimming all the way to the east part
  of this level. This exit leads to Donut Plains Haunted House to the north.

- Here's how to get the secret exit that leads to Donut Secret House:
  From Coin 5, head to the right a little to find a pow block. Don't hit this,
  or you'll make it hard for yourself. Instead, pick up the pow block which
  will allow you to swim very fast. Keep going right until you come to a keyhole
  and several blocks above a gap. Let go of the Pow at this point, and hit it.
  This will turn those blocks into coins, and will reveal a Key. Swim the key
  into the key hole directly to the right to get the secret exit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Donut Secret House
<-------------------->

Location: This ghost house is located a little northeast of Donut Plains 1.
          You'll need to go through the secret exit in Donut Secret Level 1 to
          reach it, unless you're coming from the Star World in which you can
          go out the southwest star to reach it.

Synopsis: This is one of the only Ghost Houses in the game to have a boss, and
          it has plenty of secret exits as well. An important thing to remember
          in this ghost house is to press R to spin jump. Spin jumping allows
          you to not take damage when jumping over the large Boos.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located very near the beginning of the level. There is a large
   circle of spinning ghosts with a small gap inbetween two of them. Head
   through this gap a few times to make your way to the bottem left ledge where
   you can easily jump and get this coin.

2) Head past the Big Boo and through the yellow door when you get to the east
   wall. Start heading west, through an area with another small ghost wheel.
   Continue west, ignoring the doors. When you get to the west wall, hop up to
   the platform and continue to hop up the small ledges sticking out of the
   west wall. Once you get to the top ledge you will see the Yoshi Coin that
   you can easily run into and get.

3) Jump down from Coin 2 and hop on the pow block. Head back east to find a
   door on top of newly created item blocks. Head through this yellow door to
   find yourself in a room with several ghosts. In this room, head to the left
   to find this coin floating in the air dangerously close to several ghosts.
   Jump catiously, and you should be able to get it without getting hit.

4) Keep heading west from coin 3 and through the Yellow Door. This coin will be
   hovering in the air next to the door.

5) From Coin 4, jump to the staircase and through the Yellow Door there. Head
   back west to the pow block once more, and hit it. Head back to the door that
   you went through earlier, but don't go through it. Instead, hit the yellow
   block directly above it to reveal a Beanstalk. Climb it, and head east on
   the ledge. Here you'll find a Yoshi Coin under a small block. You'll have to
   slide to get it if you're not small Mario/Luigi, so run as fast as you can
   at it, then press down and right at the same time. You'll get it after a few
   attempts.

Points of Interest:

- There is a large Boo in the beginning of the level. To get past it, hit the
  POW to drop down a spring to jump on. Spin Jump off this and onto Boo to
  clear him without taking damage.

- There is a 1-Up in the Yellow Block next to Yoshi Coin 4.

Exits:

- The first and relatively easy exit to get can be obtained by going through an
  invisible door to the left of the ghost wheel with the multiple coin block
  inside of it. You'll notice a few coins surronding what appears to be an
  outline of a door. Grab all of these coins, then head west to the pow block.
  Hit it, and run back to where you got the coins. A blue door will now appear.
  Head through the door to find the End-Level Goal. This exit leads to a Pipe
  that takes out to World 8 (but not actually in it.)

- The more difficult exit to get is obtained in a similar fashion to the first
  exit. Head to the pow block and hit it. Just like when obtained Yoshi Coin 5,
  hit the block directly above the Yellow Door and climb the newly created Bean
  Stalk. Here there will be a door that will appear until the pow block, so make
  haste when getting to it. Go through the door to find the Boss of the level,
  Big Boo. See the boss section below on how to beat the boss. Once you beat
  this boss, Star Road will appear (see the Star World section for information
  on that.)

  Boss: Big Boo
  Note: To get to this boss see Exit 2 above.

  The room where you fight Big Boo has a floor made of pick-up-able Purple
  Blocks. These blocks are your primary offense for fighting Big Boo, as you
  throw them up at Big Boo to kill him. However, you need to be careful not to
  pick up a block when there aren't any below that or you will fall to your
  death. Big Boo also enlisted 2 small Boos to help him, which make jumping
  rather difficult as there's a good chacne that you will run into them. So,
  stay low and take watch of what block you pick up.

  In order to hurt Big Boo, he needs to be completely white. You will not do
  any damage to him when he is faded, as your blocks will just float through
  him. You need to hit Big Boo three times by throwing purple blocks up to
  defeat him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------->
Donut Secret 2
<---------------->

Location: Contrary to the name, this level isn't in Donut Plains at all. It's
          actually located in World 8, home of Bowser's Castle. Why is it in
          this part of the walkthrough then? To get to this, you need to head
          through the pipe to the east of Donut Secret House (you can't get it
          through World 8.)

Synopsis: This level is pretty difficult because Mario and Luigi slip quite a
          bit on the surface of this level.  Take things very slowly, or you'll
          end up falling off a cliff or sliding into approaching enemies.
          Another hard part about this level is that it is the first (if you
          haven't gone out of the order of this walkthrough) level to have
          Lakitu (Spiked Enemies) that you can not kill by jumping on, but
          instead hurt you. Stay clear of these, as they give Mario/Luigi a
          sore bum.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is hovering to the right of the first set of hills in this level.
   It's easy to get just by jumping off the top hill.

2) From Coin 1, head east. You'll find a spring that has an item block directly
   above it. Use the spring to hit the item block that starts the growth
   process of a Bean Stalk. Jump around the block above you and onto the bean
   stalk from the spring. Here you will find a Invincibility Star and a Yoshi
   Coin to the right of this platform.

3) After jumping down from Coin 2, you'll find this coin shortly thereafter
   hovering against the side of a hill.

4) Right after Coin 3, head over the hill and find this hovering below the top
   of a hill shortly thereafter.

5) Continue east, jumping over the pipes with Black Piranah creatures below it.
   This coin is hovering in mid-air a little to the right of this.

Points of Interest:

- There is a purple pipe with a yellow block next to it that leads to an above
  ground area. Hit the first item block here to get a Balloon that will allow
  you to get about 25 coins floating above the area.

- Having an invincibily star or Yoshi makes the area with the Black Piranahas
  much easier.

- At the end of the level are 8 flying Red Koopa Troopas. Hop on the top one to
  start a chain reaction that will result in you de-wining all of them and
  getting an extra life.

  Note: Once you're done this level, go through the other pipe to come out a
        little southwest of the Castle in this level. You'll be able to go
        through the lake and end up at Donut Plains 3.

<-------------------->
#2 Morton's Castle
<-------------------->

Location: Directly east of Donut Plains 4.

Synopsis: This castle is a lot harder than the last castle, as there are moving
          blocks and several secrets. I advise going into this level fully
          charged up, with caped mario and a flying feather in inventory. Like
          all castles, this one has a boss at the end. By the way, if you
          haven't hit the Green Item Block Switch by now, go back and do that
          as the green blocks are very helpful in this castle.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head past the small block dudes and up the escalator. This coin is hovering
   against the left wall near the third mace.

2) After you get coin 2, head through the yellow door. Make your way past the
   three large block dudes, until you see this coin hovering in the third block
   dude's drop zone. Get him to go down, then quickly snatch the coin while
   it's not guarded.

3) This coin is located in the large, vertical room with the many moving stone
   platforms. This is in plain sight a little about the three item blocks
   (note: one of these has a power-up in them which will be helpful to you.) It
   is hovering against the side of a platform petruding from the left wall.

4) This is a very difficult coin to get, and it requires that you have Caped
   Mario. Make your way up after Coin 3 until you get to a platform with a
   moving skeleton and you're standing on 5 right blocks. Cape-hit the skeleton
   to kill it, then start running back and forth to get your speed up. The aim
   is to fly into that *very* narrow gap so that you can fly all of the way up
   to a ledge. If you don't see the Yoshi Coin immediatly, just wait a little
   and it will come out.

   An easier way instead is to hit the fourth Yellow Block underneath to make a
   vine appear so that you can climb up to get the coin. Like above, if you
   don't see the Coin, just wait for it to appear.

5) From Coin 4, jump down to the ledge you were on before. When the platforms
   petruding from the right wall are all the way in, start making your way up
   as quickly as you can. Keep making your way up, until you finally get to the
   top floor (you'll notice the large red door.) This coin petrudes out from
   the left wall right below the top platform, it's hard to miss.

BOSS: Morton

Morton is actually a little easier than Iggy in World 1. All you need to
do is jump on his head three times. The only hard part is that right after he's
been hit, he starts climbing the walls and running on the celing. When he does
this, you need to quickly run under him, idealy having him drop on you when
you're dead center in the room. Right before he hits the ground, make sure to
jump or you'll get stuck and you'll be in position to be hit. Morton gets
faster each hit, so watch out. Hit him three times and you've completed Donut
Plains.

Points of Interest:

- There is a 1-Up Pipe located above the beginning of th level. You'll need
  Caped Mario do get this. Right at the beginning of the level, go past the two
  small block dudes, but don't go up the stairs. Right as the block dude on the
  right starts going up, start running to the left and you should pass under
  both of them block dudes without harm. As soon as you can, take off into the
  air, but try not to hang against the left wall as you'll run into a block
  above you. Once you get up top, there will be a green pipe that you should go
  through. Once you get through it, you'll be at the midpoint of the level.

<<-  World 3: Vanilla Dome  ->>
===============================

<---------------->
Vanilla Dome 1
<---------------->

Location: First red dot your on when you enter this place. Lower mid-center
          area.

Synopsis: Make it past the Spike Tops and the Swoopers in this level because
          they are the main enemies you will face. There will also be high
          grounds to jump to and low grounds to walk on so be prepared.

          Also, if your tall and you want to get into a small area only for the
          size of small Mario/Luigi, don't bother going to an enemy to lose
          your power, just hold down to make him crouch and start making him
          move in the direction you want him to by pushing the jump button.
          Very useful in tight situations.

Yoshi Coins:

1) In the cage of of yellow blocks, go to the very top of it until you see an
   orange pipe. Spin jump to break the yellow block to get the coin below.

2) Area 2, where you get the star and run across the yellow platform that sinks
   down. The coin is at the very end of the platform, right before you jump
   off.

3) In Area 3, keep going right until you see a narrow passage fit for only
   small Mario/Luigi, with a Blue Block in the way. This is where the crouching
   technique comes in handy. Go infront of the passage and hold down and start
   tapping A and the direction you want to go to make Mario/Luigi to move. Once
   in, get rid of the block and find the coin in the center of the passage.

4) After #3, keep moving right until you see some pipes. Look for the orange
   pipe with the Piranaha Plant coming out and a Red Koopa flying up and down.
   Next to the Koopa in the air is another coin.

5) After #4, keep moving right again until you reach a hill. Go up the hill and
   jump across to where there are two Blue Blocks. Get rid of them by grabbing
   them and throwing them away. Go through and then down to where the Yellow
   Blocks are. Break the one on the right by doing a Spin Jump and then go down
   and right. Do the crouching technique in front of the brown blocks to get
   the final coin.

Points of Interest:

- Go to the cage of Yellow Blocks in Area 1. Stay on the ground, don't go into
  cage yet. On the ground keep running right and you'll see a mushroom pop out.

- In the cell with the first Yoshi Coin, hit the second block from the
  top-right of the cell to get a Feather or Mushroom, depending on your status.

- In the cell below the first Yoshi Coin, hit the third block from top-right of
  the cell to get a coin.

- In the big cell to the right of the third Point of Interest, hit the first
  block from the top-right of the cell to get a 1-Up mushroom.

Secret Exit : Make sure you have the Red Switch Palce beatened to do this.
              After the cage of Yellow Blocks, go right until you see a stair
              of Red Blocks. Climb those stairs to find a Yellow Block. Hit it
              to make a vine appear. Climb it to find a Key and a key hole to
              put it in.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------->
Vanilla Dome 2
<---------------->

Location: Northeast of Vanilla Dome 1.

Synopsis: Very simple level with a lot of dodging and jumping. The beginning is
          a bit difficult, but as you reach the end it'll get easier.

Yoshi Coins:

1) After climbing the first vine in the level, go right until you see a big
   arrow made out of coins, with the Yoshi Coin being it's top.

2) After getting #1, swim until you see a box with the " ? " mark it next to a
   wall. Jump on that block and then jump up again to the right where there's a
   ledge. To the left of it is another coin.

3) Go left and find the POW. Keep moving left until you reach a wall of Brown
   Blocks. Jump on the POW to turn it into coins then go left until your back
   until where coin #1 is. Jump into the gap of coins and then go to the top
   dry area to find another coin. I assume you have the Red Switch Palce
   unlocked in order to get out of here. You can also get this coin last
   because the secret exit is below the Yoshi Coin area.

4) After getting #3, jump on the Red Block to get out. Then jump back to where
   you came from before (not into the water). Keep going right. When you
   reached the place where the second coin is, jump over it and continue going
   until the floor starts to go down like a hill. Keep moving down until
   another coin is visible.

5) After getting #4, hit the POW to make the Brown Blocks turn into coins. Go
   right, jump on the pipe and then jump on to the raised land to find another
   coin.

Points of Interest:

- None

Secret Exit : Go to the place where you get the second Yoshi Coin. Go left and
              find the POW. Take it and continue on left until you reach a
              Brown wall made of blocks. Jump on the POW and then jump into the
              newly opened floor of coins. Make sure you have a Fire Flower for
              this because it's tricky.

              If you have the Flower, jump into the water and kill off the
              fishes. Then you back to the top part, where you can see a Yoshi
              Coin and go left. The key should be at the very end. Take it and
              jump into the water and move right until you see the key hole.

              If you don't have the Flower, jump on to the dry part and move
              left until you see the key. Take the key and go into the water.
              Dodge the fishes and swim right until you see the key hole.

<------------------->
Red Switch Palace
<------------------->

Location: South east of Vanilla Dome 2.

Synopsis: You start off the level with a POW infront of you. You'll also see a
          Koopa Troopa, moving back and forth in it's cell crazily. Anyways,
          the purpose here is to hit the POW and get the Koopa Troopa to kill
          the Koopas as you move right. If you do this correctly, you can get
          a 1-Up. After your done, go in the pipe and jump on the Red Switch.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<--------------------->
Vanilla Ghost House
<--------------------->

Location: North of Vanilla Dome 2.

Synopsis: Fairly simple level, with the exception of Ghosts, Ghosts Swirling in
          a Circle and ther numerous amount of Big Boos appearing. If you can
          dodge all of that, that your okay.

          This level introduces the big floating Green Ball thingy which can
          hurt you if your not careful so watch out fot them in Area 2.

Yoshi Coins:

1) A bit after the start of the level. It's within the the Circle of Swirling
   Ghosts.

2) On the 11th small single platform after getting Coin #1.

3) When you reached the area with two rows of Yellow Blocks, go to the bottom
   floor (below the Yellow Blocks). Keep moving right until you see Big Boo.
   On the lower row of Yellow Blocks, look for a gap. From the gap, hit the
   third block to the right to open make vine appear (remember you must keep
   an eye on Big Boo). Climb the vine and then move right until another coin is
   sight.

4) After getting Coin #3, jump down the gap from the top. You should have
   landed near the mid-way gate. Go down the stairs until you see another
   chain of Circling Ghosts. Wait for an open and go in. Jump on the item box
   and on the item box jump again to get another Coin.

5) In Area #2, near the end of the room is a Yellow Door. To the right of the
   door is the final coin.

Exit: Right before the Yellow Door is a platform with Yellow Blocks. Hit the
      center one to get the POW. Take it and move past the Yellow Door until
      you see some coins. Take the coins and jump on the POW to make a Blue
      Door appear. Go in to the exit.

Location: South east of the Vanilla Ghost House

Synopsis: Another Cave level, but this time you have to ride on a platform
          through the lava, while dodging the Blargg (fire dragon in the lava).

Yoshi Coins:

1) After the start of the level, right after the first three pipes (a yellow
   pipe followed by two purple pipes with the piranah plants coming out of
   them). Climb them and walk down the slope to get a coin.

2) After riding on the third lava platform, near the end of it's route, jump up
   in the gap between the wall and somme brown blocks. Head right and you'll
   find another coin visible in sight.

3) Near the end of the fourth skull platform's route is a yellow pipe. Jump to
   the pipe and go in it. Make your way across to the right. Near the end is
   the exit with another coin.

4) On your way with the fifth skull platform, you should see a little ledge
   floating in the air. Jump to the ledge and to it's right is another coin.
   Wait for the skull platform to be under you because it still goes on because
   there's a flow of lava underneath.

5) After getting off the fifth skull platform, make your way though the pipes
   with the Spike Tops on it. After you should see an area with gaps and
   floors. On the third one is the final coin for the level.

          world) shooting at you from out of nowhere. Be able to dodge them and
          you should do fine. You also have to jump on the green spring boards

   a coin in between two blueish stands with a green spring board on one of
   them.

5) Right before the exit of the level is the final coin.

Vanilla Secret 1
<------------------>

Location: North West of Vanilla Dome 1.

Synopsis: A very simple level that requires you to do a lot of jumping and
          trust me, ALOT! Anyways, just make sure that you can jump and dodge
          Koopas and you'll be fine. Also to find your way out, you go up, not
          down or left or right. Up.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, jump up center. Jump on the two spring boards
   that are right of the two blocks on the left. Move right until you see a
   pipe and jump down to where the pipe is to get a coin.

2) After getting the first coin, jump back up and go on top of the pipe. Hit
   the center Yellow Block and a vine should come out. Climb to the very top
   and you'll see a coin to the right.

3) After getting #2, jump down to the left to find another yellow block. Hit it
   to make another vine appear. Climb it and go left until you see a gap green
   spring boards below it and blue outlines at the top (Blue Blocks if you've
   completed the Blue Switch Palace). Go down the gap to find the coin.

4) After getting #3 and you've gotten out of the gap, jump to the very top
   where there's a portable spring. Get on it and wait for the perfect time to
   jump off so you can pass through the Red Koopas. Once your on top, take the
   second portable spring board. Go left and then jump on the cliffs. Jump on
   to the tall cliff that is right of the vertical green pipe. Then jump again
   to another cliff (you should be on the other side of the green spring board
   gap). Release the portable spring in the center and jump on it to get
   another coin.

5) After getting #4, take the spring board and jump right to get the final
   coin.

Secret Exit: To the right of the group of Red Flying Koopas is a vertical Green
             Pipe. Enter that pipe and when you come out, jump up and then move
             right and jump over the Chargin' Chuck to get to the exit tape to
             get the secret exit. This exit will create a link to Star Road.

<------------------>
Vanilla Secret 2
<------------------>

Location: To the right of a pipe that leads to the pipe in the Northwest corner
          of Vanilla Dome. You need to go through the normal exit in Vanilla
          Secret 1 to get here.

Synopsis: This is a very fun level which is very easy to get a *lot* of extra
          lives in. See the Points of Interest for how to get these extra
          lives. Watch out for the spiked enemies near the middle of this
          level. Also, this is probably the first level in which you encounter
          Bob-ombs. These will explode about 3 seconds after touching you, so
          watch out. Also, it helps to have Caped Mario and a Flying Feather in
          inventory when entering this level.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is past the sole Green Block. It's floating above a hill top.

2) This coin is located high above the area with the hopping green Koopa
   Troopas. You'll need to clear the area of the Koopa Troopas in order to have
   a safe path to speed up. Once you've done that, start running from the right
   back to the green item block. You'll find the clouds above you, with the
   Yoshi Coin above it.

3) This coin is locatd past the hopping turtle area. It's hovering in between
   two light purple pipes.

4) This coin is hovering inbetween to item blocks over a gap past the mid point
   of this level.

5) Keep heading right from Coin 4. You'll see a Spike-Thrower poking his head
   out of a pipe past a long, slanted pipe. Kill him and head down the pipe.
   Hit the pow block here and run all of the way to the left to find this Yoshi
   Coin.

Points of Interest:

- You can get *huge* amounts of extra lives in this level.

  Here's how:
  Come into this level with Caped Mario and a Flying Feather in inventory. Now,
  don't get Yoshi but instead start hopping on the green Koopa Troopas. Keep
  jumping on the green Koopa Troopas without hitting the ground and keep going
  to the right. Once you hop on eight without touching the ground you will
  start to get extra lives. You will rack up a lot of extra lives using this
  method.

- There's another way to get a good bit of extra lives. Right past Yoshi Coin
  3, there are a *lot* of spiked enemies moving back and forth. Hit the
  second-from-the-left yellow blcok to reveal a White Pow Block. This will turn
  the majority of the enemies in this level into coins, and after collecting 8
  coins you'll start to get extra lives. For each coin that you get after
  eight, you will actually get an improved number of extra lives (for example,
  9 gives you a 2-Up, 10 gives you a 3-Up.)

<------------------>
Vanilla Secret 3
<------------------>

Location: Directly to the east of Vanilla Secret 2.

Synopsis: This level is quite different than most of the other levels in the
          game. It's a water level in which you don't want to go in the water
          due to a large spiked Blow Fish that patrols the water. You can do
          this by using the helpful Dolphins that hop out of the water and
          allow you to stay above the water level. This level may take a little
          practice to beat, as hoppping over the Dolphins can be pretty tough.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located near the top of the first large tree area. Use the
   Dolphins to get up there if you fell down.

2) From Coin 1, just head right over the water. The Blow Fish won't be there
   yet, so don't worry about falling. This coin is located on the next tree
   top.

3) This coin is hovering high above the water inbetween two high tree tops. Use
   the vertical jumping Dolphins to get this one.

4) This coin is located in the third right pointing arrow. You'll need to ride
   the Dolphins to get it, and just get lucky that one brings you in an area to
   get it.

5) This coin is located on the tree platform right before the green pipe, you
   can't miss it.

6) Yes, there are six coins in this level. You don't need to get all six, but
   it's easier to pick and choose what ones you want. The coin is very easy to
   get, it's just to the left of the End Zone Goal. Only the bottem part of
   this is visible, so don't overlook it.

Points of Interest:

- There is a Star Block near the middle of this level that will give you a 1-Up
  if you're quick.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------>
Vanilla Fortress
<------------------>

Location: Directly to the east of Vanilla Secret 3.

Synopsis: This is a very unique Fortress, mainly because it's underwater. It's
          fairly difficult, so make sure to go into it with a powered up Mario.
          There are lots of swinging maces that will get in Mario's way, so be
          careful. Plus, the skeleton fish are nastier than normal fish, as
          they're much bigger. There are two paths to go in this level, one
          that you will only be able to get if you're small Mario. The small
          Mario path is located under a row of spikes near the beginning of the
          level, while the larger Mario path is above it.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Take the Big-Mario path (the one above the spikes). Keep heading right until
   you find an area with lots of skeleton creatures and spikes on the roof.
   This coin is located in the middle of the area, but you'll need to be
   careful not to be hit by any of the off-colored spikes that are lose.

2) Keep heading right from Coin 2, and head through the pipe. Head left from
   the pipe to find this coin under a Big Block dude. Time it so that he's
   going up when you get it.

3) Keep heading left from Coin 2 until you find an area that you can go up.
   Swim up, and then start heading right. You'll find a midpoint, and to the
   right of that you'll find the third Yoshi Coin.

4) Head right from Coin 3 until you can go down. This coin is to the left, it's
   being protected by the Block Dude. Once again, time it so that he's going up
   when you grab this coin.

5) Head right from Coin 4. Keep heading right until you see this coin up
   against the right wall near two maces. Watch out for the swining maces and
   fish!

BOSS: Reznor (Fireball spitting Rhinos or Triceritops)

The Boss Door is located directly to the right of the 5th Coin. Grab the Yellow
Mushroom and head through the door. The boss of this Fortress are the Reznor.
They are the 4 Fireball spitting Rhinos. All you need to do is to hit the
platform underneath each Reznoe to kill it. The problem is that the floor
starts to breakdown rather quickly. Kill two Reznors off very quickly, then hop
onto one of the empty platforms. Avoid the fireballs and move from platform to
platform to kill the remaining Reznors.

#3 Lemmy's Castle
<------------------->

Location: South of Vanilla Dome 4.

Synopsis: This castle offeres several new things not seen before. First, it has
          Magikoopa(Wizard Lookin' Guys) in this level that have the ability to
          hurt you and create Koopa Troopas by waving their wands and shooting
          out some sort of magic towards yellow blocks. Plus, they appear in
          all sorts of annoying places, so you have to watch out. After the
          first part of this level, you'll need to navigate over stone
          platforms that sink into the Lava. Finally, there is a tough boss
          (Lemmy) at the end of this level, so you need to be prepared.

Yoshi Coins:

All the coins are in Area 2. That's the area with the platforms moving up and
down in the lava.

1) The first coin is located on the first platform that's moving up and down in
   Lava. You can't miss it.

2) The second coin is located two platforms to the right of Coin 1. In order to
   get it, you'll have to be on the bottem platform as it's sinking down. Make
   sure to be in a position to jump off the platform or to a higher level on
   this platform or else you'll fall into the lava.

3) Coin 3 is directly to the right of Coin 2. To get it, simply wait for the
   platform to come up, and you'll be able to jump across the gap and grab it.

4) Keep heading right and grab the Feather lying on the ground. Keep heading
   right and wait on the large, left-most platform that sinks into the ground.
   Once the other platforms start coming up, head right and you'll find this
   coin on the lowest level of a large stone staircase.

5) Jump off of the lowest platform where you got Coin 4 and continue right
   across the easy platforms, making your way past the Skeleton Koopas. This
   coin is located on the last moving platform before the door, and is *very*
   low. You'll have to time it exactly, as the platform below this coin is only
   exposed for a few seconds. To get out of here alive, quickly jump to the
   crevice above, then jump out of that to the ledge above where you'll be
   safe.

BOSS: Lemmy

Head right from Coin 5 and grab that Flying Feather from the Green Item Block
next to the door. Now, go through the door and get ready to fight Lemmy. The
hard part about Lemmy is the flying fireball that will get in your way and do
significant damage to you. Other than that, he isn't too hard. There will be
three different enemies that come up, you want to hit the Yellow one three
times. It doesn't get harder each time you hit Lemmy, so you don't need to be
overly cautious. Once you beat him, Vanilla Dome is complete!

Location: Northeast of the pipe that leads to Vanilla Dome.

Synopsis: This is a fun level with one of the hardest to find secret areas in
          the game. It also has a "secret" area in which Yoshi grows wings and
          ascends to a secret area above a cloud. Other than that, the level is
          a pretty standard level with moving platforms over no ground.

Yoshi Coins:

1) At the beginning of the level, hop on all three of the brown moving
   platforms. Once you get the top platform moving, quickly jump down to the
   lowest platform (making sure to avoid the buzz saws along the way.) You'll
   run into this Yoshi Coin automaticaly when on the bottem platform.

2) Quickly jump up to the top platform after grabbing Coin 1. Shortly after the
   item block will be the Yoshi Coin that you can just jump to and get.

3) To get this coin, you'll need to be on the bottem platform near the end of
   its path. Be early, as the platforms start to get out of sync later on and
   you might miss jump to a platform.

4) This coin is located just to the left of a purple pipe a little after the
   mid-point. Just jump or climb on the moving rope to get it.

5) Head right from Coin 5 and jump on the long moving Rope. Avoid the buzz
   saws, and you'll see this coin shortly after hopping on.

     - Another method for getting the coins for this level is by using a Yoshi
       and going into the second exit listed below. Once you hit the block
       with wings, jump on it with Yoshi and you'll be in another area. Collect
       all the Yoshi coins here for a count of Yoshi Coins here. There are 5
       here so you can get them all, however I suggest you get atleast one from
       the start of the level because at the end of the scroll, there will 1
       that you might leave behind because the screen moves too fast (well at
       least for me anyways). Just a pre-caution.

Points of Interest:

- Go down the purple pipe next to Coin 3 to go to a pointless area with bullet
  bills being shot at you.

Exits:

- The normal exit that leads to Cookie Mountain can be obtained by going through
  the normal end-level goal located shortly after Yoshi Coin 5.

- Another way to get to Cookie Mountain is to have Yoshi going into the level.
  Make your way to the mid-point and grab the item block there. Jump and grab
  the wings floating in air to ascend to a secret area above the cloud. Once
  you beat or fall from this area, you'll advance to Cookie Mountain.

- The top secret exit in this level requires Yoshi and Caped Mario. Make your
  way to the mid-point of the level, making sure to keep Yoshi. Keep heading
  right, until you get to the long platform after the purple pipe. Run as fast
  as you can on this platform and take off into the air at the end of it. Now,
  you'll come down about halfway through the long-rope path to the end. Mario
  can't hop on a rope while Yoshi is on him, so instead hop on the buzz saws
  making your way to the right each time. The objective is to end up under the
  end-goal. Once you're in this position, press R to jump off of Yoshi and end
  up behind the end-goal. Head to the right to find a Moon with a 3-up and the
  *real* end-goal that will lead you to Soda Lake.

<----------------->
Cookie Mountain
<----------------->

Location: Directly to the east of Cheese Bridge Area.

Synopsis: This is a standard grass and hill level, with not many tricks to it.
          You do need to watch out, though, as this is the first level to have
          stomping enemies that create fire below them. The best way to kill
          them is to get below them and hit the item-block that they're
          standing on.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is hovering above a series of 4 slanted hills after the first
   Sumo Brother (Guy that stands on top of blocks and stomps to make fire on
   the ground beneath).

2) Head to the right from Coin 1. Keep going over a gap until you find this
   coin underneath the music notes. It would be a good idea to kill the
   Sumo Brothers before getting this coin.

3) Shortly after the mid-point of the level there will be a series of 4 yellow
   blocks. Hit the second from the right to expose a beanstalk. Climb it to
   find this Yoshi Coin to the right.

4) This coin is on a hill to the right of Coin 4. It's in plain sight, but it
   is semi-hard to grab due to all of the moles there.

5) This coin is hovering over a series of Green Item Blocks.

Points of Interest:

- After the first Yoshi Coin, pick up the Red shell and kick it towards the
  large green pipe to get rid of all of the moles in your way.

- After the first area with the multiple moles, run and ascend into the air.
  You'll find a large cloud platform. Run right to reveal a 1-Up Mushroom.

- There is a purple pipe to the right of Coin 3. Head down it and avoid the
  Spiked Blowfish to find yourself on top of a green pipe to the left of the
  large cloud platform described above.

- Jump from the Cloud Platform to the top of a large hill to find a yellow
  block with a 1-Up Mushroom contained within it.

- If you eat two Pink Berries with Yoshi a cloud will appear that shoots coins
  down at you.

- There is a rotating item block near the end of the level. Shoot a shell or
  rotate your cape at it when it's on the image of a Flying Feather to grab an
  invincibility star.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<----------->
Soda Lake
<----------->

Location: South (down a beanstalk) of Cheese Bridge Area. You'll need to find
          the secret exit in Cheese Bridge Area to be able to get to this
          level.

Synopsis: This is one of the hardest levels in the game. This is an underwater
          level with a lot of Torpedo Toms being shot at you. They're a lot
          stronger and faster than Bullet Bills, and you won't be able to
          destroy them. I advise going into this level fully loaded, with
          Yoshi, Fireball Mario and a Fire Flower or Cape in your inventory.
          Also, Luigi is the better choice for this level as he can suck up
          fish and shoot them at oncomming Torpedo Toms and kill them.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is hovering in between two Toredo Tom firing points near the
   beginning of the level. Wait for the all-clear before attempting to get
   this.

2) This coin is up against a stair-case formation of Torpedo Tom firing points.

3) Shortly after Coin 2 there will be a gap between two brown earth structures.
   This coin is located near the bottem of this gap.

4) Head up and then to the right of Coin 3. It's up against a corner of a
   bullet bill quite low to the bottem of the level.

5) After Coin 4, you'll see this coin up against a wall in plain sight.

Points of Interest:

- None in this cruel, cruel level.

Exits:

- While there is only one exit, it's worth mentioning that it leads to the 3rd
  point of Star Road. To get to this exit, head to the right-most part of the
  level, go through the green pipe and out the end-level goal.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<----------------->
Butter Bridge 1
<----------------->

Location: Directly north of Cheese Bridge Area, directly east of Vanilla
          Fortress. You'll need to go through the secret exit in Vanilla Dome 1
          and make your way all the way through the Vanilla Secret Levels to
          get here.

Synopsis: This is an automaticaly scrolling level above the clouds. Any fall
          will result in certain death, so be careful when you jump. This level
          has lots of platforms that fall down quickly, and also lots of trees
          that vary in height and affect a corresponding tree's height (it's
          like a sea-saw.) The level isn't overly difficult, just don't make
          stupid moves.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located on the right side of a grey platform. Be quick in
   getting it, as the platform will drop about a second after you step on it.

2) This coin is very close to Coin 2. Jump to the tree on the right, waiting
   for a while until the corresponding tree is relatively high up. Jump to it,
   then jump on the flying Koopa to get an extra bounce to this coin and the
   brown bridge.

3) This is another coin that's right next to Coins 1 and 2. This coin is
   hovering in between two trees directly to the right of Coin 2.

4) From Coin 3, head to the right, hopping on the 8 flying Green Koopa Troopas.
   Quickly jump up to the high tree top on the left, where you should wait as
   it descends. This coin is low in relation to the screen, you should be able
   to grab it if you stay on the tree-top for a while.

5) Once you get Coin 4, hop onto a flying Koopa Troopa to get a bounce over to
   the tree to the right. Head right until the screen starts scrolling
   vertically as you reach an area with many yellow blocks. Once you get to the
   top, head right to find a grey platform with this coin on the left side of
   it.

Points of Interest:

- A little after Coin 3, there are 8 flying Green Koopa Troopas in a row. You
  should be able to stomp on all of these and grab atleast 1 extra life.

- Here are the powerups that can be found in the area after Coin 4 with many
  Yellow Blocks:

   On the second row, the third from the right is a multi-coin block.
   On the thrid row, the third block from the left contains a multi-coin block.
   On the top row, the second from the left block contains a 1-Up mushroom.

- If you've obtained 30 coins by the end of the level, hit the Star Block to
  the right of the Purple Pipe leading to the end goal to grab a 1-Up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<----------------->
Butter Bridge 2
<----------------->

Location: Directly east of Butter Bridge 1.

Synopsis: This level is annoying at best. It's easier than the previous level,
          but it has Super Koopas flying around everywhere. Once again, you're
          up in the clouds but this time the background doesn't automaticaly
          scroll. Other than that, there's not too much to this level.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Start running from the first platform that you're on at the beginning of the
   level. Take off into the air to find this coin in the middle of a small
   cloud-platform.

2) This coins is relatively easy to get from Coin 1. Simply jump off of the
   right side of the cloud, and float down towards the ground until you find a
   Yoshi Coin floating to the left of a series of bridges with platforms.

3) Head right from Coin 2. Watch out for about 5 Koopa Shells being shot at you
   on the next platform. This coin is located to the right of this platform,
   over the gap seperating it from the next platform. Simply run and jump to
   get it.

4) Continue right from Coin 3, past the midpoint of the level. Find the second
   Purple Pipe and head down it. You'll reach and area with a white platform
   and a moving chainsaw with a rope below it. Hop on the white platform, then
   onto the rope. Gather up all of the coins along the way, and you'll
   eventually find this coin on a bridge.

5) This coin is a little tricky to get. It's located near the end of the level,
   just far enough to the right a bridge so that you won't have an easy time
   getting it. The best way to get this is to have Yoshi with you (you can find
   Yoshi to the left of where you came out after going through the pipe to get
   coin 4.) Simply jump to the coin with Yoshi, then press R to ditch him and
   jump to safety.

Points of Interest:

- See Coin 1 to find out about a Cloud Platform near the beginning of the
  level.

- See Coin 4 about getting down a pipe to an area with several coins.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
#4 Ludwig's Castle
<-------------------->

Location: Northeast of Cookie Mountain, east of Butter Bridge 2.

Synopsis: This castle is reasonably annoying. The first part of the castle
          consists of swinging maces and spiked creatures, all meant to reduce
          your health for the remaining portions of the castle. The next
          portion involves a room in which you must move quick, as spikes are
          coming down from the celing. Further still, you'll need to climb all
          of the way to the top of the caslte in a dangerous series of jumps
          and enemies to reach the boss.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head through the area with the swining Maces. Go through the door to find
   yourself in a room with a falling celing of spikes. The first coin is
   located on a platform surronded by Lava near the beginning of that portion
   of the level.

2) This coin is directly to the left of Coin 1. It's to the left of the Off
   switch that you may want to hit to keep the spikes out of your way.

3) Run to the left door from Coin 2. You'll find yourself in a room with lots
   of fences to climb. Start climbing, and you'll find this coin behind a small
   fence. Go through the small portion of the fence that rotates to get this
   coin.

4) Head to the right from Coin 3. Once you reach the right wall, start heading
   down to find this coin in a small gap between the spikes.

5) Head northwest from Coin 4. You'll find this coin in a gap right below the
   ledge that contains the door to reach the boss.

BOSS: Ludwig

Ludwig is not that tough of a boss. You simply need to jump on his head three
times, without getting hit by the flames that he shoots at you. Each time you
hit him, Ludwig will expand, roll around for a while, then jump over you. Make
sure that you're jumping while he hits the ground, or else you'll get stunned.
Just hit him three times to destroy him and beat the castle.

        Note:
        Watch what happens to the castle in the cinematic after beating him and
        what happens to the hill on the map ;-]

Points of Interest:

- Before going through the Yellow Door after the first section with the swining
  maces, jump up through the small block which appears to be solid to get on
  top of the stones. Head right and up the stairs to find a 1-Up Pipe.

- There is a midpoint that is semi-hidden. Once you get pass the room with the
  spike celing, head to your right to find the mid-point.

- There is an Item Block in a crevice to the right in the climbing room near
  the bottem, very similar to the crevice to find the mid-point.

=====================================
<<-  World 5: Forest of Illusion  ->>
=====================================

<---------------------->
Forest Of Illusion 1
<---------------------->

Location: North-center portion of the Forest of Illusion screen. To get to it,
          head south from #4 Ludwig's Caslte.

Synopsis: This is an easy level and it's also one of the best levels in the
          game to score huge amounts of extra lives. It has a secret exit, as
          well. As for new things introduced in this level, this will be the
          first level that you see Wigglers (The yellow caterpillars with a big
          nose. You can kill them by sucking them up with Yoshi) and it's also
          the first set in a forest.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head right in this level until you reach a spring. Pick up the spring and
   bring it right across the gap. This Yoshi Coin is hovering to the left of a
   right angel formed by Music Notes. Jump on the spring to get it.

2) On the next platform to the right of Coin 1, simply jump in-between a space
   in trees in the fore-ground to find this Yoshi Coin.

3) Continue right past the mid-point of the level. This coin is hidden from
   view, as it's behinid a tree that occupies the foreground. The exact
   location of this coin is hovering in the air behind the first wide tree to
   the first platform to the right of the mid-point.

4) Head right from the mid-point and up onto the Yellow Platform. This coin is
   above about the middle part of the platform.

5) This coin is located near the end of the level. Head right from Coin 4, and
   keep going until you reach the Hammer Thrower on a floating cloud. This coin
   is up against the right wall in a gap between a green pipe and that same
   wall. It's easier to kill the Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brother (guy who tosses
   hammers while sitting on a winged platform) and Wiggler before grabbing
   this coin.

Points of Interest:

- There is an item block to the right of Coin 1 that contains a 1-Up Mushroom.
  Hit the item block, then get the 1-Up Mushroom out by hitting the Music Notes
  to the right of it.

- Directly to the right of the mid-point is a rotating item block. Hit it when
  a Flying Feather is displayed on the block to grab a Invincibility Star. Head
  to the right, killings everything along your way. Pay special attention to
  killing Wigglers, as they give a 2-Up for each one killed after the eigth
  enemy is killed.

- You can gain a mushroom by eating several of the berries located in the trees
  of this level with Yoshi.

Exits:

- The normal exit is right after Coin 5. It is obtained by going through the
  end goal. This exit leads to the water level, Forest of Illusion 2.

- The secret exit in this level is not a difficult one to get. It is located
  after the mid-point of the level, past the elevated yellow platform. Once you
  get to the end of the platform, there is an item block. Hit it to reveal a
  "P" (A ballon) that inflates Mario/Luigi. Once you're inflated, head back to
  the left, staying under the Yellow Platform. A small ledge with a keyhole and
  an item block is in plain site. Hit the item block to reveal a key. This exit
  leads to Forest Ghost House.

       - You can also come into the level with a Blue Yoshi and eat a Koopa and
       fly your way to there to get the key. It just depends on how you want to
       do it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------------->
Forest Of Illusion 2
<---------------------->

Location: Southeast of Forest of Illusion 1. The "dot" for this level is
          surronded by water.

Synopsis: This level is a mildly difficult water level. It is the first level
          to institute Spiny Blocks, that move around like slow Block Dudes
          underwater. These can make the path difficult, but you are able to
          kill them with Purple Blocks. Having Yoshi will be a big help, as he
          can pass over the Spiny Blocks without taking any damage. This level,
          like almost all of the Forest of Illusion levels, has a secret exit.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head to the right from the start of the level, picking up the Flying Feather
   from the green block at the start of the level and avoiding the Spiny Blocks
   floating vertically. Once you get to a passage leading up, take it and
   cautiously proceed up. At the top of this passage is a Spiny Block moving
   back and forth. Wait for it to be all of the way to the left, then grab the
   purple block and slam it back into the Spiny to your left. You can now grab
   the Yoshi Coin against the left wall.

2) Head right from Coin 1, and then down the passage. Continue going right, and
   then up once that passage leads that way. Grab the power-up from the item
   block at the top of this passage and continue right. Head all of the way to
   the right wall without heading down any gaps to find this coin being guarded
   by a sleeping fish.

3) Wait until the Spiny Blocks to the left of Coin 2 get all of the way to the
   top, then head below them. Keep going left until you reach a wall. Head down
   to the bottem and start heading right. This coin is at the end of a dead end
   after going right for a while.

4) Head back to Coin 2 from Coin 3. Instead of going up past the Spike Blocks,
   head right through the mid-point. Head right through a large area with many
   Spiny Blocks moving around small rectangular blocks. Pick up a purple block
   once you find it, then smash it into the first vertical moving Spiny Block
   you find. This coin is in a gap below this Spiny Block.

5) Head up from Coin 4, past the vertical Spiny Block. Go right until you can
   start going down, and do so. Head left once you reach the bottem, and grab
   that Mushromm from the Yellow Block there. Head back to the right to find an
   open area with many gaps along the top wall. All of the gaps have sleeping
   fish in them, so watch out. The Yoshi Coin is located in the second gap from
   a very large gap to the right. You may need to sacrifice a power-up getting
   this Yoshi Coin, as there will be fish coming after you from *all*
   directions.

Points of Interest:

- When going down the dead-end passage way to get Coin 3, there are 4 invisible
  blocks protecting a small enclave. The middle block contains a 1-Up Mushroom.
  If you want the 1-Up, hit and only hit the middle block (take a guess since
  it's invisble and let it come out. Let it move until it falls out in between
  the gaps. Once you've got it, you can hit the other invisble blocks for
  coins.

Exits:

- The normal exit that leads to Forest of Illusion 3 can be obtained by
  continuing right from Yoshi Coin 5. Just go through the End Goal.

- A secret exit that leads to the Blue Switch Palace is found to the left of
  the Yellow Block described in Coin 5. There is a grey platform that appears
  to block the way, but if you look closely it's possible to see that it's
  actually in the foreground layer, so you can past through. Go through it
  quickly to outrun the sleeping fish, grab the key and put it in the keyhole
  right next to it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Blue Switch Palace
<-------------------->

Location: East of Forest of Illusion 2. Go through the secret exit in Forest of
          Illusion 2 to reach this.

Synopsis: This is similar to the other switch palaces that you've done before
          in that it has a way to get extra lives. However, this is the hardest
          yet, as you'll need to clear all of the coins above you before
          hitting the Grey, then Blue Switch. Once you do this, grab all of the
          silver coins, making sure to go back and forth as new Spiny Shells
          are generated. Once you've done this, head through the Green Pipe and
          flip the Blue Switch.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------------->
Forest Of Illusion 3
<---------------------->

Location: Southwest of Forest of Illusion 2. and directly south of Forest of
          Illusion 1.

Synopsis: This is not a very difficult level. It's very similar to Forest of
          Illusion 1, in that you're just moving in a level with a lot of tree
          tops. There aren't really any hard jumps to this level. One new
          element, however, is that the enemies in this level primarily float
          in small bubbles that are easily broken. Pay attention to the skies
          above you, as there could be enemies falling. Also, watch out for the
          Bob-ombs in this level, as this may be the first time that you've
          seen them (depending on what levels you've played up to this point.)
          Avoid their explosions that occur three seconds after they stop
          moving. This level also has two exits.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is located in between two small Green Pipes near the beginning of
   the level.

2) Head right from Coin 1, picking up the Yoshi in the item block in-between
   two Purple Pipes. Continue right until you reach a large Yellow Pipe to your
   right. Hit the Yellow Block to the left of this pipe that has a Red Koopa
   shell on it. Grab the Spring that falls down as a result of this, go to the
   right and use the spring to get on top of the Yellow Pipe. This coin is to
   the right of the pipe.

3) From Coin 2, head right gong past the Mid-Point. This coin is located
   shortly thereafter in-between a gap of two yellow pipes.

4) Keep heading right from Coin 3. You'll find this coin hovering in the air
   after going right for a while. Simply jump on the yellow blocks to get up to
   this.

5) This coin is located shortly to the right of Coin 4. Carefully head past the
   many floating Goombas, past the Chargin' Chucks and up the Yellow Blocks and
   over the large green pipe. This coin is against the right side of the pipe.

Points of Interest:

- There is a 1-Up Pipe located to the right of a large Purple pipe in the
  beginning of the level. This pipe is also purple, but is smaller than the
  large one to its left.

- If you eat several of the berries hanging from the top of the level, it is
  possible to get a Mushroom.

Exits:

- The normal exit that leads to Forest Haunted House is located at the end of
  the level by simply going through the end-goal.

- The secret exit that leads to #5 Roy's Caslte is located by heading down the
  large Green Pipe at the end of the level. This is the coin to the left of
  Yoshi Coin 5. The secret exit is very easy to get, however you need to be
  atleast Big Mario/Luigi to get it. Simply spin jump the yellow blocks and put
  the key into the keyhole to the right to get the exit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Forest Ghost House
<-------------------->

Location: Directly west of Forest of Illusion 1 and Northwest of Forest of
          Illusion 3.

Synopsis: This is a ghost house of medium difficulty. It features a tricky
          exit, and several Big Boos coming after you in small places. Even
          more annoying are the small, fast moving ghosts that fly by
          periodicaly. Go into this level fully loaded, as it will help.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head all of the way past the first chamber with the many Boos chasing you.
   Make sure to face the closest Boo or else the Boos will start to get to
   close resulting in damage. Being quick past this part helps too. Head right
   once you get into more open space, being catious about the ghosts coming at
   you. This coin is hovering between two item blocks on an elevated ledge.

2) Head past Coin 1 and through the Yellow Door. The next room has a *ton* of
   ghosts flying around, so be careful when you jump. Grab the power-up in the
   floating block and head right. This coin is at the right edge of the first
   platform, to the right of an item block that contains another power-up.

3) This coin is located shortly after Coin 2. Jump across the gap and hop up on
   the elevated ledge to find this coin. It's hovering between the two elevated
   ledges, dangerously close to the ghosts. Duck-jump, by holding down and then
   jumping to grab this coin without getting hit.

4) Head right from Coin 3 to find this coin on top of several brown blocks.

5) Grab the POW next to Coin 4 by DO NOT PRESS IT YET. Instead, head right into
   the second gap with coins above it (this one does not have a yellow door.)
   Once you're inside of this, hit the POW and head through the Blue Door to
   the right. You'll find yourself above the small area that you were are in
   the beginning of the level. Head left for a while, past the Yellow Door and
   over an elevated area to find this coin.

Points of Interest:

- Underneath the ledge in which Yoshi Coin 4 is located on is a Yellow Block.
  This contains a 1-Up Mushroom within it. If you're small Mario, it's very
  simple to enter and grab this. If you're a large Mario, then it's a little
  more tricky. Get on top of the brown blocks, then slide-duck by running and
  then pressing down under the ledge. You should be able to get in the area.
  Slide-duck to your left to hit the Yellow Block and slide out. The 1-Up
  Mushroom will follow you.

Exits:

- The normal exit that leads back to Forest of Illusion 1 is obtained going
  through the Blue Door described in Yoshi Coin 5. Head left, past Yoshi Coin 5
  to find this door.

  Note:
  You get a Moon Piece that gives you a 3-Up by going through this exit.

- The secret exit that leads to Forest of Illusion 4 is a tough one to get.
  Follow the directions in Yoshi Coin 5 and head through the Yellow Door above
  the small area that you were at in the beginning of the level to get to the
  exit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------------------->
Forest Of Illusion 4
<---------------------->

Location: Southwest of Forest Ghost House and directly west of Forest of
          Illusion 2.

Synopsis: This is one of the first levels in the game to have Lakitu in it.
          This is an especially mean enemy, as he likes to throw spiny shells
          very frequently. If you can avoid it, don't grab the 1-Up Mushroom on
          his fishing rod, as he won't throw spiny shells until you grab this.
          Once again, this level has a secret exit, so check out the exits
          section to find out how to get it.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Jump across the first gap and head to the right of the next platform. You'll
   find a few Yellow Blocks. Head up to the top Yellow Block to find this coin
   hovering above a gap.

2) Head right from Coin 1, until you reach a Green Pipe with a Lakitu inside of
   it. Jump over the pipe to find this con to its right.

3) This coin is located relatively close to Coin 2. Head right, over the Purple
   pie with another Lakitu in it and over the gap. Quickly jump on the Green
   Pipe to have it ascend. Once the pipe reaches its apex, jump to the right to
   grab the coin.

4) Head way right from Coin 3, past the mid-point, and keep going until you get
   to a POW underneath a purple pipe with a Lakitu in it. Grab this POW and
   hold onto it as you continue right over a series of 3 green pipes. Once you
   get to an area with a Blue Yoshi Shell. Hit the POW and start heading up the
   brown blocks that act as a staircase. This coin is located at the top of the
   staircase.

   There are also two other methods to do this:

   =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
   Method 1:

   You can use the Blue Shell to hit Lakitu and steal his cloud. Hop into the
   cloud and you'll easily be able to float to the coin.

   =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
   Method 2:

   If you have Yoshi, simply eat the Blue Shell to be able to fly to the coin.

   =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

5) Head right from Coin 5, passing over the mounds of Purple Blocks until you
   reach a Green Pipe with a Piranah Plant shooting out of it. Hop onto the
   pipe and jump to this coin hovering between where you are and the yellow
   pipe to your right.

Points of Interest:

- There is an underwater passage leading to the left that you can enter by
  heading down the Second Green pipe after passing a purple pipe with Lakitu
  throwing Spiny Shells above you. This leads back to a yellow pipe before the
  Mid-Point.

Exits:

- The normal exit that leads back to Forest of Illusion 2 is obtained by
  heading through the End-Goal at the end of the level.

- The secret exit that leads to Forest Secret Area requires you to have either
  Caped Mario or a Yoshi. Head past the Mid-Point of the level until you reach
  a Lakitu above you in a purple pipe being supported by two stone blocks.
  Enter this pipe by either running back and forth and flying to it, or Jumping
  with Yoshi and then spin-jumping off of him. Head down the pipe and put the
  Key in the Key Hole.

<-------------------->
Forest Secret Area
<-------------------->

Location: South of Forest of Illsuion 4. You need to go through the secret exit
          in Forest of Illusion 4 to reach this level.

Synopsis: This is a very tough level to get all of the Yoshi Coins in. You need
          to know exactly where all of the Yoshi Coins are if you're going to
          get them (which is where this guide comes in.) This level is an
          auto-scrolling level with two Flying Clouds going in opposite
          directions. Be careful where you jump, and read this guide a few
          times before attempting the level if you're going for the Yoshi
          Coins.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Hop on the grey platforms. Stay on it as it goes up and then comes back
   down. Don't jump onto the other platform, but instead stay on it as it sinks
   below the other platform. You'll find the first Yoshi Coin surronded by
   coins forming a semi circle.

2) Stay on the platform as it starts to go up again. Once the platform gets to
   the top, you'll find this coin hovering directly above you.

3) *Still* stay on the platform that you've been on as it goes down and then
   comes back up again. You'll see this coin as the Winged Platform reaches
   its highest point.

4) This time you will want to jump to the next platform as the one you're
   current one heads towards the middle level. You'll easily be able to find
   this coin as the new platform goes up towards its highest point.

5) Switch platforms once again, jumping back to the other platform. Once this
   platform gets to the top point, jump to get this final coin.

Points of Interest:

- You can get a 1-Up by hitting a Yellow Block hovering over several Blue Item
  Blocks after grabbing Coin 4.

- There are three 1-Up Mushrooms after the end of the level. Grab a Koopa Shell
  before heading through the end goal to get this.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<----------------->
Forest Fortress
<----------------->

Location: This Fortress can be found by heading south from Forest Secret Area.
          It's actually outside of the forest itself.

Synopsis: This is a tough fortress to beat. It has several Buzz Saws floating
          around which will make your life very difficult. It is definetely in
          your interest to go into this level stacked up with power-ups. The
          first part of the level consists of Large Pipes crushing down on you
          with Buzz Saws spinning along on a fixed path. The next part of this
          level has Buzz Saws coming at you from many directions. Be careful!
          The final part of this level consists of fighting the Reznors as seen
          in Vanilla Fortress. See the Boss section below on how to beat them.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is right above you at the very beginning of the level. You need to
   be very quick to get this, as the level is auto-scrolling.

2) Head right from Coin 1. After two large pipes come smashing down from the
   celing, you'll find this coin hovering above a Buzz Saw moving above a "T"
   shaped path.

3) Keep heading right and avoiding the Buzz Saws from Coin 2. You'll find this
   coin above a gap with Green Blocks below it. Watch out for the buzz saw
   circling around it.

4) From Coin 3, head right and through the Yellow Door. Watch out for the Buzz
   Saw that "greets" you as you enter the next room. Head right and over the
   lava gap. Climb the blocks to see this coin to the right of a vertical
   pillar above two spinning Buzz Saws. Time your jump down so that the
   buzz-saws are coming back behind you. Run up the watermellon, grab the
   Mushroom from the Yellow Block, then jump back to get the Yoshi Coin. Expect
   to get hit as you fall.

5) Head right from Coin 4, across a bridge with Buzz Saws going back and forth.
   Jump from grey block to grey block to avoid getting hit. Jump across the gap
   to the right of this bridge to reach an area with a grey-block platform
   above you and several Buzz Saws. Jump up to the platform above you, being
   careful of the Buzz Saws that are coming at you. Jump to the third small
   platform then jump up through a small gap to the Grey Blocks. Head to the
   right and down the ledges to find this coin.

BOSS: Reznor

The boss of this level are the Reznors, that you probably have seen before if
you've played through Vanilla Fortress. All you need to do is hit the platform
below all four of these bosses. The hard part is that the platform starts
disapearing rapidly. So, kill two of the Rhinos then hop on the platform.
Change platforms to get underneath the remaining bosses. Just watch out for the
fireballs they shoot and you shouldn't have any problem beating them. Once you
beat them, you're led to a Star Road link.

#5 Roy's Castle
<----------------->

Location: South of Forest of Illusion 3. You'll need to go through the secret
          exit in Forest of Illusion 3 to get to this.

               Note: This Castle is actually outside of Forest of Illusion.

Synopsis: This is a tough castle, as it has you floating around on a series of
          moving Brown Blocks going through a pit of Lava and then through an
          area with falling Spikes. Go into this castle fully stacked with
          Caped Mario and a Flying Feather in inventory to make it easier on
          yourself. The second part of the level consists of Bowser Sculptures
          shooting Fireballs at you. This part of the level is not nearly as
          hard as the previous part, as all you need to do is jump over the
          fireballs that are coming at you. Like all castles, this one is
          guarded by a Boss, so see the Boss Section.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head down the ledge at the beginning of the level. Hop onto the Brown Blocks
   to have them start moving. This coin is easily reachable by just jumping up
   to it after the blocks start moving.

2) You'll see this coin right as the Brown Block enters an area with spikes
   above and below you. You'll automaticaly get it by just staying on the
   moving platform.

3) This coin is located very shortly after Coin 2. The hard part about this
   coin is that there is a falling Spike that passes directly through the Yoshi
   Coin. Wait for the Spike to fall before attempting to get this coin.

4) This is another coin that's right next to its preceeding coin! Once again,
   jump to it after the falling spike passes through it.

5) Jump onto the solid ground after the Brown Block descends into the abyss.
   Head to the right past the first platform, and onto the Contracting and
   Expanding Yellow Blocks. This coin is hovering above the second Contracting
   and Expanding Yellow Block. You'll also want to grab the Flying Feather
   above the first Contracting and Expanding Yellow Block.

BOSS: Roy

Roy Koopa is a very easy boss. He plays in the same fashion as the Boss you
already faced in Donut Plains. So, all you need to do is to hit him on the head
three times. The hard part about this boss is that you'll need to act quickly,
or the walls will crush you as they continually move closer to you. Quickly hit
Roy Koopa on the head two or three times before he has the chance to the climb
the wall. Once he does climb the wall, head to the opposite side, then run
under him and jump before he hits the ground. Once you beat him, it's off to
Chocolate Island.

Points of Interest:

- After grabbing Yoshi Coin 4 and landing on solid ground, hit the Pow Switch
  to have a 1-Up Mushroom fall to the ground. Quickly grab it before it falls
  into the lava.

===================================
<<-  World 6: Chocolate Island  ->>
===================================

<-------------------->
Chocolate Island 1
<-------------------->

Location: South of #5 Roy's Castle.

Synopsis: Very easy level. It's one of those make it to the end no problem
          levels. It's also the first level to introduce the Dino-Rhinos and
          Dino-Torch (the green looking Hippo/Rhino look alike.) Just dodge
          those and make it through and you'll be fine.

          Also this level is ran on two identical maps. The pipes that shoot
          you at an angle will take you to the other twin map.

Yoshi Coins:

1) After passing the first pipe, jump up onto the higher hill and then keep
   moving right until you see it in plain sight.

       Note: Enter the pipe that is to the right of this coin if you want the
           remaing coins in the level because if you don't, you'll end up
           only getting the one above and another one right before the end
           goal, so entering the pipe is a MUST!

2) After the mid-way gate, you should see a POW and a Chargin' Chuck up alone
   on a Brown Block and a row of coins underneath. Hit the POW and make your
   way across the former row of coins that are now temporaily Brown Blocks.
   Once your pass that, jump up the slanted hills to see another coin.

3) After getting #2, move right until you reach the end of the down-hill and
   up-hill slope. Ahead of you above the gap is another coin.

4) After getting #3, go pass the first Yellow pipe and jump on top of the
   second one. Jump up again to see another coin to the right.

       Note: Right after getting coin #4, move right until you see a Silver pipe.
           Enter it to be shot out of a diagonal pipe. Being shot out of this
           pipe will give you the last Yoshi Coin. If you don't enter it, you
           won't get your final coin.

5) Right before the end goal and on top of the portable spring board.

Points of Interest:

- You must have been shot out of the first diagonal pipe inorder to get this.
  Once you've done that, go to the down-hill and up-hill slope mentioned in
  coin #3. With a cape, get a good running start and fly up-center of the hill.
  If done right, you should see a set of clouds with a Moon in the center of
  it.

- After getting the 4th Yoshi Coin, go to the second last Purple Pipe (the one
  before the one with the Piranah plant coming out.) Enter that pipe and
  you'll be in a water area with the spiked fishes and Dolphins. After coming
  out of the pipe, there will be a Yellow Block. Hit it for a 1-Up.

<------------------->
Choco-Ghost House
<------------------->

Location: West of Chocolate Island 1

Synopsis: A not so hard Ghost level but it can pose a challenge if your not
          careful. The first area is easy, but if you don't watch the ground,
          your bound to die because the floor has several gaps and it shifts
          back and forth to kill the player.

          The second area is easy but annoying because you have a chain of
          Ghosts that are always moving around and they can easily hit you and
          cause you to lose your power. Watch for their patterns and you'll do
          fine. Also take note on the six Ghosts in this area that can
          transform into blocks. You'll need them if you want to exit this
          level.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Right after you see the first item box is a fleet of stairs. Underneath it
   is the first coin. To get it, go to the end of the platform, move off it and
   quicly move back left to land on the platform below. Not hard if you have
   quick hands. ;)

2) After you get coin #1, make your way to the end of this area, but don't go
   in the door. Move a bit more right and you'll see the second coin.

3) Right after you've entered area 2, move right and get into the first alcove
   with a cain of Ghosts moving around. At the very top of this room is another
   coin.

4) Right after getting coin #3, go to the third alcove (this one has three
   platforms and more Ghost chains.) Climb the platforms to find another coin
   at the top.

5) Once you've gotten coin #4, head right again and you'll be in the last
   alcove. This one has 2 higher rows and again the Ghost chains. Climb to the
   rows to the highest one and move right to find the final coin.

Points of Interest:

- There are six ghosts in this level in area 2 that can transform into blocks
  when you look at them. Use their ability to exit the level in the second
  alcove in area 2. The first three can be found underneath the Item Block when
  you first enter area 2 and the last three can be found in the last alcove in
  area 2.

- In the very last alcove, move to the very end on the ground floor. At the end
  you should see a Yellow Block. Hit it to get a 1-Up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Chocolate Island 2
<-------------------->

Location: South of Choco-Ghost House

Synopsis: A simple jump and dodge level, except with more enemies. This level
          is unique in so many ways because the secret is time based and there
          are many areas in it. All in all it's still fun.

Yoshi Coins:

Note: It is very crucial that you follow the instructions very carefully if you
      want all the Yoshi Coins for this level. If you don't, your most likely
      to come up two Yoshi Coins short.

Once you've start off the level, move up to see an item block. Hit it until
there are no more coins left. Underneath it, and one block to the right (you
can it from the platform that is abit higher then the portable spring board
under the item block) hit the invisble block to get another coin. Proceed on
to get the first and second Yoshi Coin and then move right until you see two
coins floating in the air way above the pipe. Collect those coins as well and
you've complete the important task for the level. (You should have a total of
10 coins collected in area 1. This includes the Yoshi Coins as well.)

1) After you start the level, make your way up the platforms until you see a
   Yoshi Coin. This one is very easy to see.

2) After getting coin #1, head right and pass the Item Block is another Yoshi
   Coin in plain sight.

3) If you've collect all the coins like it's been stated at the top, then
   you'll enter a different area 2. This one contains Rex walking around, not
   your normal Koopa flying one. If your not in the REX you, you didn't do the
   coin collecting task in the beginning. You must do that inorder to get the
   third coin.

   If your in this area, proceed right and go pass the portable spring board
   that is on the lone stone block. Keep moving right until you see some two
   Piranah Plants coming out of two Silver Pipes. To the very right in the air
   of the two plants is the coin in this area. After you've gotten this coin,
   continue right to exit this area.

4) After entering the pipe from the area with coin #3, you should now be in a
   water area with mushrooms in bubbles. Head on right until you see a Yoshi
   Coin floating on top of the water. After getting this coin continue on
   right to the pipe to exit this area.

5) Now this is a different exit from the normal no-coin-taking-from-area-1
   exit. Assuming you've beaten the all Switch Palaces, head on to the end to
   get the final coin.

Points of Interest:

- There are 3 seperate exits in this level. Two of them which are normal
  regualar ones which counts as one exit for the 96 goal counter and the
  other a secret one.

  One of the regular goals is if done it the Yoshi Coins way. The second one
  (which I consider normal) is when you don't collect all the coins from the
  first area and play on to the end. The secret one is listed in the Secret
  Exit section below.

 Secret Exit: Play through area 1 and area 2 (no coin collecting in area 1)
              quickly. You need to enter the pipe in area 2 (the Flying Koopa
              area) before the timer hits 250. If your successfuly, you'll be
              in an area with Chargin' Chucks and Blocks obatined from the
              Switch Palaces. Once here, proceed right until you see a Key and
              Keyhole. Take the Key and put it in the hole.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Chocolate Island 3
<-------------------->

Location: West of Chocolate Island 2.

Synopsis: This is your typical jumping level, but your jumping on the circular
          rotating platforms. Your bound to encounter a Koopa in the center on
          everyone of them or on your way when jumping so watch what your doing
          so you don't die.

Yoshi Coins:

1) At the start of the level, jump to the second rotating platform (this one
   has a Koopa in the center.) Once your on it, to your right is a coin on a
   normal platform.

2) Continue on right until you see a purple pipe in the air. Right before it
   (left-south of the pipe), there should be a rotating platform with a Koopa
   in it's center. Jump on the platform and let it rotate you to the coin.

3) Now go into the Purple Pipe you saw when you went to get coin #2. You should
   now be in an area with a big rotating platform, a back and forth platform
   and a lot of coins. Jump on the rotating platform and it'll rotate
   clock-wise. As it's starting to spin right you should see a Yoshi coin to
   the very right. Jump to it to get it.

4) After comming out of the pipe from coin #3, head on right. Make your way
   through the first three rotating plaforms and stop on the third one. To the
   right of it is another coin. Stand on the edge of the platform to get the
   coin.

5) 3 rotating platforms after #4 is another coin. This one is on the very low
   platform right before the normal green platfrom. At the bottom of this
   platform is the last coin. Duck to get this coin so you don't get hit by the
   black thing.

Points of Interest:

- The coin area where you go to get Yoshi Coin #3.

- Three 1-Up blocks in the second exit. Read the Secret Exit section below.

Exits:

- Normal Exit: After getting coin #5, jump on to the normal green platform.
               Move on right and there should be a star block which can give
               you a 1-Up or coin depending on how you played the level and a
               Yellow Block. Hit the Yellow Block and a vine should appear.
               Climb it and you should see an end-goal tape. Cross here to get
               the first exit.

- Secret Exit: Same area, as the normal exit except don't hit the Yellow Block
               or climb up. Stay on the ground with the Koopa. First off you
               need a Cape and if you want Yoshi. If you have Yoshi, get him to
               eat the Koopa so you can fly, if you don't have Yoshi, kill the
               Koopa so it doesn't interfere with your running. Once that's
               done, get a running start and jump off at the edge of this
               platform and fly across right. Keep flying until you see a
               platform with three Yellow Blocks and another end-goal mark.
               Hit the blocks for 1-Ups and cross the tape to get the second
               exit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------------->
Chocolate Fortess
<------------------->

Location: West of Chocolate Island 3

Synopsis: Straight forward level. But you have to be careful because there are
          stakes down from the top and the ground in several areas. There are
          also fireballs shot at after you jump off the first gap so watch out
          for those. Also, there will be Thwomp (big rock guys that drop when
          you go close to their area) and Thwimp (little small rock guys that
          moves back and forth), but don't worry, they will be the only enemies
          you face. The stakes and fireballs won't show up. Those will appear
          in area 2 so worry about them when you enter the door at the end of
          area 1. The best advice that can be given is to watch what you do and
          be on alert.

Yoshi Coins:

1) When you see the first item block in the level, head on right until you see
   a coin on top of a stake moving up and down. It's very easy to see.

2) Still in area 1, head on until you've reached an area with a lot of stakes
   coming in at each other from top and bottom. Jump over them when they give
   you space. The coin is located in the third set of stakes moving up and down
   from the ceiling and ground.

3) Assuming your in area 2 now, head on right until you see three item blocks
   lined up next to each other. On the top of them is the first coin in this
   area. Watch out for the Thwomp when getting this coin.

4) After getting coin #3, keep on heading right until you see a Thwimp trapped
   in some red blocks. When you've reached there, continue on right, jump over
   the gap of spikes and continue on right. Watch out there Thwimps here, but
   other then that, another coin is here.

5) After getting coin #4, continue on right until you see a coin underneath a
   Thwomp. Lure the thwomp down and then jump for the coin to get the complete
   set for this level.

BOSS: Reznor

The Reznors are back (by now you should know they are the boss for every
fortress.) Anyways, the same strategy to defeat them applies: jump under their
platforms to kill them, but be warn, the ground will eventually start to break
so it's best to knock off two if you can and jump on the empty platform and
then eliminate the other ones.

Points of Interest:

- None

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Chocolate Island 4
<-------------------->

Location: South of Chocolate Fortress

Synopsis: An underground level with sloped platforms to help you make your way
          across the polluted water. Easy level, but it requires you to jump
          often to make your way across the sloped platforms.

Yoshi Coins:

1) At the start of the level, head on right. When you've reached the second
   area with the sloped floating platforms, drop down from the top edge and you
   should be on a lower area that slopes down and then up (looks like a topless
   triangle.) Wait for a platform to come down from the right. Jump on that
   platform and then let it take you up. When it reaches the very top, you
   should see a coin to the right.

2) After getting coin #1, keep on heading right until you see a gray floating
   platform. Get to that platform and then wall up this hill until you see 3
   coins to the left. Jump to these coins and you should land on a ledge. Walk
   up this ledge to find the second coin.

3) After getting coin #2, keep on going right. You should eventually see a coin
   in a cavern blocked off by brown blocks, but we'll worry about that one
   later. Climb up the hill with the coin underneath it and you should see a
   stair of Yellow Blocks. Near the bottom of the stairs of Yellow Blocks is
   the third coin.

4) The fourth coin is the coin I mentioned in the beginning of how to get
   coin#3, the one trapped in a cavern by Brown Blocks. You should do the
   following quickly as I am telling you how to get the fourth coin and
   preparing you for the fifth one. First be aware that there are two caverns
   blocked off by Brown Blocks, one has a coin (top one) and the other has a
   pipe (bottom one.) You need a way to change the Brown Blocks and thats with
   a POW. Look at the stairs created by the Yellow Blocks. Count to the third
   block from the top and hit it, a POW should appear. Jump on the POW and head
   for the top cavern (the one with the Yoshi Coin.) After you get it, quickly
   move out and enter the bottom cavern (the one with the pipe.) Enter the pipe.

5) Assuming you did what I told you to do from the fourth coin, you should now
   have entered a pipe and have fallen down to a big arrow made up of Yellow
   Blocks with a POW on the left side. Now for this I recommend you have a cape
   just incase you mess up. First jump on the POW. Now jump off the arrow and
   push and hold the A button to slow down your fall (only works with cape.)
   Move to the right and count the number of passages you passed. The last coin
   is in the third one from the top. With the POW active, it will have Brown
   Blocks running across the ground so it's not hard to miss. Once the coins
   turned back to blocks you can get the last Yoshi Coin by either Flying Up if
   your far from the 3rd passage or walking across the passage if you've landed
   successfully on time on the third row.

Points of Interest:

- You can collect 3 1-Ups during your way adventuring in this level. When you
  see the Yoshi Coin trapped inside the Cavern, instead of heading up right,
  head left and you'll fall on to a platform of Blue Blocks (assuming you've
  beaten the Blue Switch Palace.) You can also jump on the sloped platforms if
  you haven't beatened the Blue Switch Palace. Head on left to see 3 1-Ups.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Chocolate Island 5
<-------------------->

Location: West of Chocolate Island 4.

Synopsis: Fairly straight forward level. Make your way across while by jumping
          off the boxes of blocks and swimming in the water. After swimming,
          you'll be jumping on pipes that moves, but don't worry, after the
          pipes is the exit with a few Chargin' Chucks.

Yoshi Coins:

1) When you first start off at the level, keep going right until you see a POW.
   Take the POW and continue on right until you see a Yoshi Coin trapped in a
   box of Brown Blocks with a Spike Top inside. Drop the POW and jump on it to
   turn the Brown Blocks into coins and then jump for the first Yoshi Coin.

2) After getting coin #1, head on a bit more right and you'll see a Yellow
   Pipe. Enter that pipe and you should be in a new area. Right after you come
   out of the pipe, there should a Yoshi Coin in plain view to your right. Go
   right to get it.

3) After getting coin #2, continue on right until you see another Yoshi Coin.
   Take the coin and then go in the purple pipe.

Coin #4 is optional. It requires you to go backwards in the level to get the
coin. This coin is optional since there are 6 in total and you can skip this
coin and collect #5 and 6 to get a complete set for this level, but this choice
is up to you.

4) After coming out of the pipe from the area in where you got coins #2 and 3,
   head on left in to the shallow pool of water. Keep moving right. Jump out of
   the pool when you see a shell and then jump in to another pool to your left.
   You should see coins in the air above the water now. Keep on moving left
   until you see a Yoshi Coin. Take the coin then go back right.

5) After getting coin #3 and 4 if you chose to, head on right and you should
   see a mid-way gate. Hit it if you want and then jump onto the first pipe you
   see. Careful, these pipes move up and down. Once your on the first, jump to
   the second pipe and let it take you up for another Yoshi Coin.

6) After getting coin#5, continue on right until you see a Chargin' Chuck on a
   pipe with a Yoshi Coin. Kill the Chuck and get the coin and move on right to
   finish off the level.

Points of Interest:

- If you have a cape, at the start of the level, you can get a Silver POW. When
  the level starts, jump down the cliff until you run into a Brown Block Box
  with a Spin Top inside. From the Box, run left and then fly off up-right.
  Keep flying until you see a cloud with a Silver POW. Get the POW and then
  fall back down. Find the Blue POW and hit that one.

- You can get a Mushroom or Flower (depending on your status) in the beginning
  of the level. When you see a Box of Yellow Blocks with an Item Box on the
  top, hit the bottom-right block for a Mushroom if your small or a Flower if
  your big.

- At the start of the level, head on right until you see a POW. Get it and
  continue on right until you see a Yellow Pipe trapped by Yellow Blocks. Jump
  on the POW and enter the pipe to enter a 1-Up mini game.

Chocolate Secret
<------------------>

Location: South of Valley Ghost House. This level is located on a cliff in the
          Valley of Bowser.

Synopsis: A sort of hard and sort of easy level. You mostly have to jump over
          cliffs and lava pits and at the same time dodge the enemies that come
          at you. If you can get throught that, you'll pass the level no
          problem.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, keep on heading right until you see a Green
   Pipe on the ceiling. Go in that pipe and head on right. You will see a
   Amazing Flyin' Hammer Brother moving back and forth throwing hammers. He
   will floating over a row of platforms that will fall down once you step on
   them. Quickly jump on the platform and then hit the Hammer Brother's flying
   platform to kill him. Once you killed him, jump on his platform and get the
   Yoshi Coin. Once you got it, head on right again and into the pipe to leave
   this area.

2) Once you come out of the pipe from getting coin #1, head on right and you'll
   see another Yoshi Coin at the bottom of the cliff your at.

3) Once you've entered area 3 (that's the area after you've passed the area
   with the hills you go down, with the Buzzy Beetles in the way), keep on
   heading right. Jump over the lava pit on a single Yellow platform sticking
   out and keep on moving until you see a Yoshi Coin in a gap. Jump into the
   gap to get the third coin.

4) After getting coin #3, head on right until your near another lava pit with
   Yellow platforms sticking out, if you can, get a good run and jump to the
   third platform. Then quickly move your way across because the platforms
   begin to sink. Keep jumping across right until a coin is in sight. Quickly
   jump to it and you'll get it. If you've failed to get this coin the first
   time and you have a cape, once you've reached the other side, you can fly
   back to the other side and try it over again.

5) After getting coin #4, head on right until you reach another lava pit with
   Yellow platforms sticking out. Same strategy above, get a good run and jump
   to the thid platform. Then quickly move your way across until you see a coin
   in sight. Jump to it so you can get the final coin. Again, if you failed and
   you have a cape, just fly back and try again.

#6 Wendy's Castle
<------------------->

Location: North of Chocolate Island 5

Synopsis: Very hard level if you dont time your dodge and jump properly. This
          level consists of two areas. Area 1 will have spikes falling down
          from the top. If one falls on you, your dead. There will also be
          chains through-out this area so be on your guard. Area two is also
          difficult if you don't time your jump. There will be moving platforms
          and Lil Sparkies and Hotheads rotating on some of the platforms, so
          watch out for those. Get pass these obstacles and you'll face the
          boss, Wendy.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This coin is very easy to see. From the start of the level, head on right
   until you see two chains moving on a line. Keep on moving right and you'll
   see a coin in a little alcove above the chain line. Jump up to get it and
   then continue on right.

2) This coin is also easy to see. After getting coin #1, keep on moving right
   until you see a spike coming from the top and bottom. Right before the last
   spike is a coin in a little alcove. Make it pass these spikes (time yourself
   carefully) and then fall to the end. Standing right infront of the last
   spike, facing left, wait for the right time to get in the alcove to get the
   coin. Once you've gotten the coin, head back on right and enter the door to
   enter area 2.

3) From the start of area 2, head on right and jump onto the first platform you
   see. There will be a Lil Spark rotating around it so jump when it gets close
   to you. Move abit more right and you'll see a pathway moving up and down. At
   the begining of the pathway should be a coin. Jump to the pathway to get the
   coin and continue on.

4) After getting coin #3, head on right and make it pass the pathway with the
   top coming down at you. Jump to the platform right after that and you'll see
   a coin. Don't jump too fast yet because there will be blocks coming down.
   Wait for it to be gone and then jump for the coin, but keep in mind a
   Hothead is on the place you land after jumping, so time your jump carefully.

5) After getting coin #4, head on right again until you see a coin within a set
   of blocks. This requires some planning because it's hard to get. Ok. When
   the blocks with the coin goes up, jump on to the little block moving left
   and right below. It should move right, leading you to a block with a Hothead
   rotating. Jump on to the platfrom and then wait for the blocks to come down.
   Jump to the coin and you'll get the set for this level. Now head on right to
   face the boss.

BOSS: Wendy

Wendy isn't a really hard boss to beat. It's really simple actually, but what
you need to do is dodge the flying fire. To beat Wendy, you need to jump on
her. She will come out of the pipe, with two others that "look" like her, but
are not actually her (the fakes look different from the real one. Jump on the
one that's the outcast of the two.) You need to jump on the real one three
times to beat her. If you jump on the fake ones, nothing happens. Beat her
and move on to World 7, Valley of Bowser.

Points of Interest:

- You can get a 1-Up in this level. In area 1, go to the area with a lot of
  chains moving and in the center is a Blue Block. Before the Block should be a
  Stone Block at the lower left area. Standing infront of it on the ground,
  jump up on to it and then off it to get a 1-Up. Basically jump clockwise
  around the block and you'll get it.

<<-  World 7: Valley of Bowser  ->>
===================================

<------------------->
Sunken Ghost Ship
<------------------->

Location: North-East of #6 Wendy's Castle.

Synopsis: What starts off as a simple level becomes a pain at the end. This
          level starts you off as a swimming level. Dodge a few bullets and
          enter the pipe. Then enter a room full of ghosts. When they appear
          just stay put and you'll be safe. The last area starts you off with a
          star and you just have to get down as fast as you can or until you
          find another star. Play it a few times and you'll get use to it. :D

Yoshi Coins:

This level has got to be the hardest level to collect all the Yoshi Coins
because you have to move fast and know where your going. Before entering the
level, I recommend you get a Blue Yoshi and a Feather, but make sure you have
one as a backup. Also, all five Yoshi Coins are in Area 3, so don't bother
searching for them in any area earlier. I will be explaining how to get the
coins with the use of a Feather and the Blue Yoshi because that is the easiest
way in my opinion. So if you don't have them, then get them. ;)

1) Once you fall, get the star, let Mario/Luigi fall freely until you pass the
   brown block. Move a little to the right and push A to slow down the falling.
   Stay in the position your at until you see a coin. Once you see it, move in
   to position to get it.

2) After getting coin #1, move more right until you see the stone wall (don't
   get too close to the wall.) Still holding A, keep falling slowly until you
   see another coin.

3) After getting coin #2, move a bit more left. Move to your about in the
   center between the stone walls on both sides. Still holding A, keep falling
   until you see the coin. Once you got it, stay in the same position until you
   land on a platform with an Item Box. Hit the box for a star.

4) Once you got coin #3 and the star, leave the platform on the left side.
   Still holding A to slow yourself down, just keep falling. Make sure the left
   stone wall is sort of on the border of your screen on the left side. This
   will make the coin easier to reach.

5) After getting coin #4, move slightly right. Like above, try to stay away
   from the stone wall on the right, but far enough to still it the border of
   the screen on the right. Once you hit a shower of coins, look for a Yoshi
   Coin below to complete the set in this level.

If you found the above hard to follow, here's a diagram that illustrates the

<-------------------->
Valley of Bowser 1
<-------------------->

Location: First level in the Valley of Bowser. Right after beating Sunken Ghost
          Ship and entering the mouth of the stone figure of Bowser.

Synopsis: Fairly hard if you don't know your way through this place. It
          consists of the Mega Moles and Chargin' Chucks. Both which sometimes
          appear out of nowhere. Just keep on going right and know where you
          are and you'll make it out of this level no problem.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head on right. Jump pass the Chargin' Chuck
   until you come to place with two paths; a top one and a bottom one. Go to
   the bottom one first. You should see some Blue Blocks. To get rid of the
   Blue Blocks (go up to them and push B.) Keep doing this until a Chargin'
   Chuck breaks the rest for you. Kill it and continue on right. You should
   eventually see a Yoshi Coin on a platform with a Mega Mole on it. Go under
   one of the Yellow Blocks and hit it to kill it and then jump up and get the
   Yoshi Coin. Once you've done this, return to the opening.

2) Once your back at the opening, choose the top path now since there's no
   point to go the bottom one now. Keep going right until you reach another
   opening (which will be referred to as opening-2); a top one and a bottom
   one. Go in the top one and head on right until you see another Yoshi Coin.
   Get it and go back to opening-2.

3) Back at the start of opening-2, go in the lower path. You should now see
   another opening now. It doesn't matter which path you take beause they both
   lead you to the same spot. You should be at a gap and on the other side a
   wall of Yellow Blocks. Go to the wall and let the Charin' Chucks break it
   for you so you can go through. Get pass the wall and you should see another
   opening. Go in the top one and continue on right. You should now be at
   another opening. Go in the top one again and then the next top one (you
   should be on the second platform from the ceiling down.) Go right and you'll
   find another Yoshi Coin. Head back left to the beginning of this platform.

4) Back at the beginning platform for coin #3, jump down one platform and head
   right. Keep going until you see a gap. Jump in the gap and head right again.
   Keep going until a Yoshi Coin appears and get it. Go back to the gap and hit
   it to make blocks appear. Once that's done, head left and back to the start
   of the platform.

5) After getting coin #4 and returning to the start of the platform above the
   coin, continue on right. Get pass the Chargin' Chucks with the Yellow Block
   wall and take the path that's on the same level in the next opening. Keep
   going right and you'll find the final Yoshi Coin.

Points of Interest:

- In this level, you can get a Moon, which gives you 3 1-Ups. After getting
  coin #2 and you've returned to opening-2. Take the upper path and head on
  right. As you keep going right, keep on taking the upper paths as new
  openings will appear. When you finally reach a place with Black Piranah
  plants on the ground, wait for the Mega Mole to come and jump on it to take
  you across. Once over, head on right again until you see a Moon.

<-------------------->
Valley of Bowser 2
<-------------------->

Location: West of Valley of Bowser 1.

Synopsis: Area's one and three are easy. It's only area two that's challenging.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Towards the end of area. As you keep moving right, you'll see it. It's a bit
   before the mid-way gate in the air.

   From here on, the level is weird. One path will take you to the rest of the
   coins and the other will lead you to just two coins only.

   The first path path requires a Yoshi. When you enter area 2, hit the "?"
   block. Jump to the floating wings and fly off to a bonus area. Start flying
   aroung as the screen moves. There are four coins in this area. Collect them
   to collect the 5 for this level.

   The other path, which takes you to just two coins is below. It starts and
   ends in areas 2.

2) Enter the shifting road path. Keep moving right. You'll eventually spot a
   coin at the bottom in a little cave. Move right and when your at the ground
   level, move back left and then out to get the coin and be safe. On the other
   side of the coin (behind the left wall) should be two normal coins.

3) After getting that coin, head on right, but don't leave the area your
   currently at yet. Let the shifting land take you up. As your at the top,
   you should see another coin. When the land starts to move down again, move
   across right into a little gap and then when it rises, move right again.
   Once it's at the top, move back left to get the coin and then back right to
   get out in time. After you got this coin, keep making your way right to get
   out of this area.

Points of Interest:

- When you first enter area 2. Jump on top of the pipe, and then jump all the
  way up towards the left until your at the top of the cliff. Walk on step to
  put yourself in the middle of the top cliff and jump up to get a power up.
  If your little Mario/Luigi, you won't be able to reach it unless you have a
  Yoshi to help you jump higher.

Exits:

- Normal Exit: There are two normal exits in this game. The first one is with a
               Yoshi. When you first enter area 2, you will see a "?" block.
               Hit it to make wings appear. Jump to it with Yoshi and fly your
               way to the exit.

               The other exit is when you go pass area two and into area 3. Make
               your way through area 3 until the end will be another exit.

- Secret Exit: For this you need a the feather power. Make your way through
               areas 1 and 2. When you reached area 3, jump up the steps and
               make Mario/Luigi run. When you reach the end of the run way, jump
               up and fly left. You should now be off the screen. Keep walking
               left until you fall into an area with a Key and Keyhole. Take the
               Key and put it in the Keyhole to get the secret exit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<--------------------->
Valley Ghost House
<--------------------->

Location: West of Valley of Bowser 2

Synopsis: Easy and confusing Ghost House. Overall, it can be fun.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head right and jump up into the first pile of
   coins you see. The first Yoshi Coin is in that pile.

2) After getting the first coin, keep goin right until you reach the door.
   Enter it and you should now be in a room where your on a platform and there
   are huge gaps left and right. Above you is a Yellow Block. Hit it to knock
   the POW down. Wait for the Yellow Block to stop moving and then jump on top
   of it. Once on the block, jump a little bit higher to get the second Yoshi
   coin.

3) After getting that coin, jump on the POW and head left. On the Brown Blocks,
   keep goin left until you see a "?" Block. Jump on top of it and you will see
   it to your left. Jump to it to get it. Afterwards, quickly make your way
   across and enter the door.

4) Once you enter the door, keep moving left again until you come to a wall,
   where there's a Yoshi Coin on top. Jump up to get on top of the platform to
   get the fourth Yoshi Coin. Now head back right and enter the door to return
   back to where the second coin was.

5) Once your there, get the POW back down and head right. Keep moving right and
   jump across the gaps. You'll eventually see the fifth coin. It's not hard to
   miss.

6) After getting the fifth coin, keep heading right and you should see a row of
   coins. Keep running until you reach the end (where the 1UP) is. Enter the
   last door and hit the POW to make the group solid Brown Blocks. Walk across
   and you'll have the sixth coin.

Points of Interest:

- Take the path where you use to get the sixth coin to get the 1UP. You can
  keep getting the 1UP like this by entering the last door, leaving that room
  and then repeat the process again.

Exits:

- Normal Exit: Take the path where you used to get the sixth coin. Instead of
               entering the last door, enter the third or fourth door for an
               exit.

- Secret Exit: Take the path where you used to get the sixth coin. Enter the
               last door and take the POW and go across. Jump up the platform
               and let go the POW. Hit the "?" box and direct the coins in a
               zig-zag direction going up-right. When it stops, hit the POW and
               go up the steps you've just made. When you near the top, you
               should see a little spot with a Key and a Key hole. If your
               small, you'll fit right in. If your tall, crouch and jump right
               in. Remember timing is everything. If you don't succeed the
               first time, just leave the room and come back to try again.
               Anyways, once your in the spot, just take the Key and put it in
               the Keyhole to get the secret exit.

<-------------------->
Valley of Bowser 3
<-------------------->

Location: West of Valley Ghost House

Synopsis: Very tricky level to play in. Your going to be jumping a lot when you
          play here because the most of the platforms you land on will have
          timers on them. I recommend that you get the two Feathers and a Blue
          Yoshi if you want to beat this level easily.

Yoshi Coins:

1) At the start of the level, head on right, dodge the Koopas and jump onto the
   next platform. Continue right here until the end. You should now see a Yoshi
   Coin in the air. Jump on the timed platform and move to it to get it.

2) After getting the first coin, continue on right, jump on platforms.
   Eventually, you will see a coin at the bottom of the screen. Make your way
   through the timed platforms to get it.

3) When you get the second coin, continue right again and jump up to the high
   "Plant Tower." To the right of it will be another coin. Jump towards it to
   get the third coin.

4) Head on right again after getting the third coin. Keep going until you reach
   a diagonal platform. Keep going right from there and you should see a coin
   in the center of four timed platforms. Jump on them to get it.

5) After getting the fourth coin, continue on right, jumping on platforms and
   dodging the obstacles in the way. You will eventually come to the last Yoshi
   coin which will be easy to see and get when your floating on the platform.

Points of Interest:

- None.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------------->
Valley of Bowser 4
<-------------------->

Location: North of Valley of Bowser 3

Synopsis: Fairly difficult if you don't move fast enough. Again, your going to
          be doing a lot of jumping and dodging in this level if your going to
          beat it.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head on right and enter the first Green pipe
   you see (right after the lava pit with the Purple pipe before it.) When you
   go underground, go left. Make your way through the Spike Tops and the
   Blurps. Eventually, you'll see the first coin underwater. Jump in the water
   to get it. After you get it, continue on left and leave from the Purple
   pipe.

2) After you come out from the Purple pipe, continue on right again. Hit the
   "?" block and climb the vine.

   Assuming your big, jump on to the Yellow blocks and Spin-Jump down and then
   go right from the first platform you see. Go right from there and you'll see
   a coin.

   If your small, jump into the little gap and keep pushing right so you won't
   land in the lava. Keep moving right and you will see a Yoshi Coin in the air
   next to a platform.

3) Right after getting the second coin, continue on right and you should see a
   Chargin' Chuck with a shovel. Kill him off and jump up to where he was. To
   the right is a Yoshi Coin. Jump towards it to get it.

4) After getting the third coin, continue right again. Stay at the lower level
   of the platforms. You should eventually see a Yoshi Coin in a little shelter
   with a platform and a lava pit. Jump to the Yoshi Coin to get it and then
   head back out and go right again.

5) Keep going right after the fourth coin. You will eventually come to a spring
   and some Blue blocks (assuming you completed the Blue Switch Palace) that
   will make up a Blue platform. The last and final Yoshi Coin is located right
   here.

Points of Interest:

- None

Exits:

- Normal Exit: At the end of the level. The normal Gateway Goal.

- Secret Exit: This requires you to have a Yoshi and not lose it throughout the
               level. I recommend using the blue Yoshi since it can fly with
               any Koopa. With it, you'll have to do constant switching of
               Koopas just to maintain a safe course of flight. Anyways, when
               you reach the end of the level, you will see a Key under some
               stone blocks. Get Yoshi to eat it through the wall and then walk
               to the Keyhole above to get the secret exit.

#7 Larry's Castle
<------------------->

Location: East of Valley of Bowser 4

Synopsis: The hardest Castle of them all if your not careful. If you know what
          your doing and can dodge the obstacles, you'll do great.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start, get on the Brown-block platform. It'll move on it's own.
   Stay on it and let it move on right. When it starts to move up for the first
   time, quickly jump on top of it or you'll fall. When your going up, you'll
   hit the first coin.

2) After getting the first coin, the platform will move left. The one your on
   will move under another platform, so jump to the one you see ahead. When
   your on it, quickly move left, while dodging the Ball N' Chains. Wait for
   the moving platform to reach the end and then jump on it. It will start to
   move up and as it does, another Yoshi Coin will be available.

3) When you get the second coin, the platform will continue on right. It will
   go through move Ball N' Chains and go through a loop. When it reaches some
   spikes on the ground, another coin will be obtainable. Wait for the
   platform to reach it and you'll get the coin.

4) & 5) Yoshi Coins 4 and 5 are obatained together. When you get the third
        Yoshi Coin, the platform will move on right. It will start to go down.
        Don't jump off the platform. Going down won't kill you. ^_^ When you
        see another platform, you will see a mid-way goal. Jump to the platform
        and through the mid-way goal to get the last two coins.

BOSS: Larry

Larry isn't that tough to beat. Beating him is just like beating Iggy. Just
jump on him and make him fall into the lava, except this time, there will be
fireballs jumping out of the lava pits, making this battle a little more
tougher. Your going to have to be faster if you plan to beat him and dodge the
fireballs at the same time. Beat him, and your on your way to face Bowser.

Front Door
<------------>

Location: North of #7 Larry Castle's

Synopsis: The final castle in the game. It's fairly difficult to play through,
          but if you take the right doors, you'll get an easy path to go
          through.

Yoshi Coins: None

Room doors:

1) A scrolling room with gaps that have fireballs jumping out of them and
   stumps coming down from the ceiling. Oh what fun! This room will be fairly
   difficult if you don't have any of the Switch Palaces beaten, so I suggest
   you beat them first if you plan to play this room. This room is fairly
   simple. All you need is good timing and just jump like mad. Eventually,
   you'll make it to the end safe and unharmed.

2) A room with a cage wall to climb. Your going to have to be careful with this
   one as there are fireballs moving around. Dodge the fireballs, or hit the
   moveable side and knock Koopas down. If you knock them all, you'll get a
   1UP.

3) This one can be hard to navigate through since there are carpets blocking
   your view and to make it worst, there are Mechakoopas there to interfere
   with your travelling. Just jump up through the first white carpet you see
   and then jump up again. Head on right and jump up through the right carpet
   again. From there, move on right, each level going down and through the
   white carpets.

4) This level might seem like it's moving up, but it's only the background.
   Just jump on to the moving stone blocks and make your way across to reach
   the door, but dodging the Lil Sparkies and Hotheads that are along the path.

5) This one is a killer if you get trapped. You got the spiked pillars coming
   down at you with Thwomps in between them. To get pass this obstacle, your
   going to need speed as your key. So get right in front of the first spiked
   pillar and when it starts to rise, time it right and run across quickly.

6) A swimming level for your pleasure. (How did Bowser manage to fit one in?)
   Anyways, just swim up while dodging the moving spiked walls, Dry Bones,
   Fishbones and Ball N' Chains and you should do fine. But be warned, this
   level gets harder as you go up.

7) This one can be hard if you don't dodge and move fast enough. It contains a
   full room of stoned Bowsers and two that can actually move. Stone Bowsers,
   if you don't know, shoots fireballs at the position your standing at, making
   this a difficult room to go through. The lava pits also have fireballs
   jumping out and the min-Bowsers that can move jump to where you are. Just
   move fast and quick to the right to make it through here alive.

8) A room full of Chargin' Chucks! But surprisingly, this one is the easiest of
   the last four rooms, that is if you have a Feather. But even if you don't
   dodge the first one and jump to the one-block-platform to hit the Green
   block to get one. With the Feather, you can just spin and kill the Chargin'
   Chucks. Just keep spinning right and you'll kill them of with ease.

Recommended doors to take to make it easy: 2 and 8.

After you get pass the two rooms, you'll be in a pitch black room. Go ahead and
hit the "?" box. A light should be on top. Go on right and you'll eventually
reach the final red metal door, but your going to be jumping and kill off some
enemies on your way.

BOSS: Bowser

Bowser is the final boss in the game. You have to throw the Mechakoopas that he
throws are you back at him whenever he sticks his head out. You only have to
throw two each every round to beat him. There are three rounds in total and in
between each round, Peach will throw you a Mushroom as a powerup.

Round 1: Fairly simple. This round, he'll just swing back and forth in his
         "helicoptor", while throwing out Mechakoopas once in a while. Jump on
         the Mechakoopas to knock them out and throw them back at Bowser, while
         he has his head out. How do you throw the Mechakoopas at Bowser you
         ask? Well Knock them out, pick them up like you do with any items and
         throw them in the air, while aiming. The best thing to do is throw it
         in the air right before he covers you, that way it's a guarantee hit,
         unless he stops and ducks and throws out more Mechakoopas. Throw the
         two at him and you win this round.

Round 2: Slightly harder. Requires you to jump more. Do the same above, (jump
         on the Mechakoopas and throw them at Bowser's head), except this time,
         Bowser will go close to you and release a ball. To avoid getting hit,
         keep moving back and forth until he finally stops and one end, hoping
         that your on the other side, just wait for the ball to reach you, but
         while your waiting, you can always throw the Mechakoopas at him. Keep
         doing this and you'll win the second round.

Round 3: Final round. Slighyly harder then before. This time Bowser and his
         "helicoptor" (which is now apparently mad) will try to stomp on you.
         Just avoid the stomping and throw the Mechakoopas when you can and
         you'll beat him. This can be hard on the first try, but you should be
         able to master it by the second or third try. Once Bowser is defeated,
         he will fade back and Peach will kiss Mario/Luigi.

Congratulations! You have successfully beaten Bowser and the game, however,
you haven completely beaten the game if you don't have all 96 goals and Yoshi
Coins. So back and accomplish those to have a completed game.

<----------------->
Valley Fortress
<----------------->

Location: North of Valley Ghost House. You get here by going through the secret
          exit in the Valley Ghost House.

Synopsis: One of the hardest levels in the game. A lot of jumping and timing to
          survive. You have been warned. I recommend having the Feather with
          you to play this level to make things easier.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head on right, timing your movements through
   the spiked pillars and making it out safely. When you jump down the cliff
   and enter a room with a spiked ceiling. You will see at the start of this
   ceiling a Yoshi Coin and a odd colored spike. Quickly move across the spike
   to make it fall and when it's gone, jump up to get it. Kill the Dry Bones if
   necessary. After getting the coin, continue right.

2) When you leave the spiked ceiling area, prepare to have fun! (Sarcasm) Well
   jump across the first gap when the spiked pillar is going up and to the
   right of the platform your on will be a Yoshi Coin.

   Assuming you have the Feather, jump over the Coin and while in the air, push
   and hold the A button down to slow down your falling move towards the coin
   and land back onto the platform. If done right, you should now have the
   second coin.

   If you don't have the Feather you can just run to it and then quickly move
   back to the platform in the air. This requires quick movement. You can also
   try the suicidal act which is attempt to jump to it and land on where the
   spiked pillar will be, but thats just too crazy. Your lucky if you survive.

   Anyways, after that, continue on right.

3) The next coin is in between two spike pillars. This will really require you
   to make your timing right and move fast. As the pillars start moving up,
   jump to the first platform and then jump to the coin. You should now land on
   the second platform. Now quickly move across right before the pillars fall
   down.

   If you have the Feather, when you get the coin, push and hold A and guide
   youself back to the first platform and then jump back to the platform you
   were at before and wait for the pillars to go up and then venture across.

   After either scenarios, you should now be at the mid-way goal.

4) Go past the mid-way goal and jump on the platforms to make your way through
   the lava pit. Becareful, fireballs come out of it. When you reach the other
   side, you now see a spiked pillar. (Yay!) Jump to the platform when it's
   going up and wait for the next pair to go up. Careful, the lava pit here
   will spit fireballs. When your ready to jump, jump across and stop. At the
   top right of the gap between the two platforms is another Yoshi Coin. Time
   yourself properly and then jump for it. If you did it right, you should now
   be on the other side safe and sound. Continue right from here.

5) After getting the fourth coin, you will see the fifth and final coin at the
   bottom of the platform. When the time is right, jump to the platform, with
   any luck you'll just land right on it and still make it on to the platform.
   If you don't get it on your jump, just wait for the pillar to go up and
   quickly run to it and then run away from the edge so you don't get hit by
   the pillar.

BOSS: Reznors

The final showdown for the Reznors, making another and final appearance. Beat
them like you usually do, knock them off their platforms and take over a
platform and knock the rest off because of the shattering floor. Beat them and
you complete the Valley Fortress.

  with a question mark on it, hit it again to get another star to gain more
  lives.

- Blue Yoshi egg is near the begining.

Secret Exit: When you reached the pipe, don't go in. Instead swim down and go
             under that wall. Keep going right until you reach a little cavern.
             Take the key there and put it in the key hole.

Location: North Western point on the Star Road World Map.

Synopsis: Very straightforward level, run to the Flag Pole with a fully grown

Yoshi Coins:

1) Right at the beginning of the level, to your left.

2) At the top of the Blue Block Latter.

Yoshi Coins 3), 4) and 5) are all located in the same area. There are two ways
you can get them:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Method 1:

Take the Lakitu's cloud and fly straight up. Go in between the stone blocks and
go to the side with the key hole. Jump over the ledge to the far right and
you'll fall to the other side of the Flag Poll with the three coins.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Method 2:

Take the Lakitu's cloud and fly to the Flag Poll. Pick up one of the Blue
Blocks infront and move down. Quickly move across under the Flag Poll and then
move back up to collect the last three coins.

  Coins. Collect seven silver coins to gain an extra life. Collect 8 to gain

Secret Exit: With Lakitu's cloud, fly up over the Blue Block Stairs and go in
             between the stone blocks. Go left and hit the Question Marked Box
             to get the Key. Then Jump to the right to put it in the Key Hole.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------->
Star World 4
<-------------->

Location: Eastern point on the Star Road World Map.

Synopsis: This level seems easy but it can be difficult. I suggest having the
          Cape and Blue Yoshi because it'll make it a lot more easier to pass
          because of the numerous amount of Koopas in this level and witht he
          Blue Yoshi, you have a lot of chances to restore his wings to fly.
          If you want to de difficult, then you'll have a lot of jumping and
          dodging to do. You'll also have to deal with rotating platforms.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Found on the second rotating platform. It's placed on one of the platforms
   so just jump on it to get it.

2) After the second rotating platform. Jump right to the next platform. Then
   jump to the right again on to another platform. You should see a Blue
   Shelled Koopas on the top and another one on underneath it. Go underneath
   the top platform three times until you reach the Coin.

3) After the second coin, keep going until you see another roatating platform.
   On one of them is another coin. Just jump on it to get it.

4) Keep going right until you reached an area with stone blocks and an orange
   pipe with some Koopa shells. On top of the orange pipe is the coin. Jump off
   the rotating platform to get it.

5) The very last rotating platform has the coin. Just go to the end of the
   level where the Flag pole is and jump on the single-rotating platform to get
   it.

Points of Interest:

- You can find a red Yoshi egg right before the first rotating platform.

Secret Exit: Go to where the orange pipe is. If you have the Red and Green
             switch unlocked, then just walk along the blocks until you reach
             the Question Mark Box. Do a spin on it to get the key and put it
             in the key hole. If the Green and Red Switches are not unlocked,
             then with Yoshi fly to the Question Mark box under the orange
             pipe and do the swirl to get the key.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------------->
Star World 5
<-------------->

Location: Right below the center of the Star Road World Map.

Synopsis: Make your way from left to righ while trying to mak it across the
          falling platforms and the hurd of Koopas that will get in your way.

Yoshi Coins:

1) This one is on the fourth platform at the beginning of the level.

2) After the first one, go right until the end of this "top" row. At the last
   platform, stand on it and let it fall to get another coin.

3) This one is on a near some yellow blocks. Before it and after it (in the
   lower area) are the grey dropping platforms. When you first see them again,
   jump up to the yellow boxes to find the coin. Another clue is that it is
   under the place where there are lots of Yellow " ! " marked boxes in the
   air.

4) After reaching land where you can run and jump, keep going right until you
   see the grey dropping platforms again. Jump on them to make you go higher
   and higher. When you reached the top, you should see another coin.

5) After finding number 4, stay on the platform and wait for it to fall. As it
   falls, you'll get the final coin.

Points of Interest:

- After getting Yoshi Coin #3, if you keep going right, you'll see a Yellow
  Yoshi Egg.

Secret Exit: I suggest having Yoshi and a feather for this because it makes it
             easier. At the beginning of the level, get Yoshi to eat a Koopa
             and start flying high in the air. Fly quickly until you see some
             stone ceilings with either Power Blocks or dotted lines (depending
             if you've beaten the Switch Palaces). None the less, keep going
             right under the stone ceiling until you come to an area with a key
             and a hole. If you can't do this with one shell, during
             mid-journey, look for a place to land and have Yoshi eat another
             Koopa.

<<-  Special Levels  ->>
========================

The Special levels can be reached after you have completed Star World 5. There
will be a star on top of the center thingy in the Star World map. On Star
World 5, push up and you'll be on that star and push A and you'll be warped to
an area that has levels and the word SPECIAL outlined by stars.

<-------->
Gnarly
<-------->

Location: First level of the Special levels. Bottom left corner after the star.

Synopsis: Your basically jumping and climbing to get through. But be warned
          that the music shaped boxes tend to getting annoying.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Jump on the green spring boards to bring you up to an area where you see
   four Yellow blocks. Hit the last one to the right to make a long vine
   appear. Climb this vine until you reach another platform. Get off here and
   go left. There should be a Yellow block with a coin on top of it.

2) Go back to the vine and climb up again until you reach two more green
   spring boards. To the right is another coin.

There are two ways to get the last 3 coins. I'll seperate them by calling them
Method 1 and Method 2.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Method 1:

3) After getting number 2, keep climbing up until you've reached the top. I
   recommend a feather for this because you can slow down the speed you fall
   at. Anyways, if you have a feather, jump down and hold A to slow down and
   move to the right until you see a Green Pipe. Near it is a coin with one of
   those music signed boxes next to it.

4) After getting that one, follow the way the normal coins go, in this case, go
   left. Keep going down left until you see some more of those music signed
   blocks. Follow them and they will lead you to the next one.

5) After getting #4, move a bit right quickly to get the final coin.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Method 2:

The other 3 are all located in the same area so I'll give directions to them.

After getting the second coin, to the left is a Yellow block with a Red Koopa
flying other it. Kill the Koopa so it won't bother you. Anyways, once that's
done, hit the Yellow block, make sure you hit the other one so you can have a
vine to climb. Anyways, if you hit the left one, a POW will appear. Jump on the
POW and quickly make your way up to the top. Then jump to the right (make sure
your touching the wall)and and you should land on a box that is in front of the
Green Pipe. Enter the pipe to find the last 3 coins.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Points of Interest:

- If you did Method 2 for the Yoshi Coins, move right, but don't jump up. As
  you move right, you will recieve 3 1-Ups.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<--------->
Tubular
<--------->

Location: East of Gnarly.

Synopsis: This has got to be the hardest level in the game! You start off by
          jumping off some pipes and dodging some Chargin' Chucks. Then you
          float through the level while dodging Volcano Lotus'.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head on right. You'll see this Coin hovering
   over a Chargin' Chuck.

2) After getting the balloon for the first time, float to your right and you'll
   see the Coin underneath a "?" box.

3) After getting Coin 2, float upwards-right and you'll see another Coin.

4) Continuing on right from Coin 3, you'll see some Koopas floating and then a
   Coin in between two "?" boxes and two Volcano Lotus'. Time it right and
   quickly and you'll get the Coin.

Note: This Coin is skippable if you want because there are 6 coins in this
      level. But then again, any of the Coins are skippable because of the 6
      coin total in the level.

5) After getting Coin 4 or 3 if you skipped the forth one, continue right and
   you'll see eventually see some Chargin' Chucks kicking footballs at you.
   Manuver around them and you'll see a Coin under a "?" box with a Volcano
   Lotus on top. Make your way there and grab the coin quickly before the
   spores hit you.

6) When you get the fifth coin, move back up quickly and you'll see another
   coin above a Volcano Lotus. Grab it and you'll have all the Coins.

Author's Note: This level can be approached two ways. The Balloon floating way
               or the Yoshi way.

               The Balloon floating way is when you complete the level while
               using the two Balloons given in this level.

               The Yoshi way requires you to have a Blue Yoshi and a Cape. When
               you approach the POW, hit it and jump your way across until you
               see the Koopas. Swallow one then do what you need to do to
               complete the level.

Points of Interest:

- The second Balloon is located in the "?" block right after the second Coin
  and before the big pile of Brown Blocks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<---------->
Way Cool
<---------->

Location: East of Tubular.

Synopsis: Not really a hard level. Your just required to stay on a platform
          while hitting the right switches to exit the circuit while dodging
          the "Black Furballs." Starting the level with Yoshi and a feather is
          also a good idea because it makes coin collecting easier.

Yoshi Coins:

Note:  After getting the first coin, you won't be able to get a complete set in
       normal base of the level. You'll need Yoshi to get the other four
       because there are a set of wings in the level. If you started off with a
       Yoshi in this level, take the path given below (the path for Coins 2 and
       3) and when you reach a pipe on the ground with a "?" block next to it,
       hit it and jump to it with a Yoshi and complete the level.

       Another note to be made is that only ONE exit will be recorded in this
       level, despite the fact that there is the normal one and the Wings Exit.

1) Start the level off by jumping onto the platform and hitting the On/Off
   Switch (it should now be "off") to make the path go downwards. You'll see
   the first coin on this path.

After the first coin, hit the next On/Off switch (it should now be "on") to
make the path go upwards. After this, there is no need to hit anymore switches
because this path takes you to the next two coins.

2) On the path if you followed the instructions above.

3) On the path if you followed the instructions above.

4) After getting Coin 3, continue right and you'll climb on motorized ropes.
   When you reach the third one, you'll see a Coin at the base of one of the
   "Black Furballs."

Points of Interest:

- If you didn't start the level with Yoshi, or lost it, fear not because he's
  in the level. From the start of the level, jump on the platform. DO NOT HIT
  THE SWITCH!! You can another coin later on. Anyways, after that, on the path,
  count the number of switches you passed, starting with the first one your not
  suppose to hit as 1. When you see the third one, hit and you should go
  downwards to another swtich. Hit that switch and you should be going upwards
  towards a pipe. Enter it and you'll get Yoshi.

  Now to get a coin before heading for the Wings. The only requirement for this
  is you have to be Big Mario/Luigi. When you come out of the pipe, head left
  until your at the edge before the circuits end. Do a normal jump with Yoshi
  and then push R yo jump even higher and you'll get a coin. After that, head
  towards the block and get the Wings.

Awesome
<--------->

Location: East of Way Cool.

Synopsis: This level is slightly hard, mainly because the ground is slippery.
          And to make it worst, there are trenches and you have shell-less
          koopas kicking shells at you. Eventually, fishes will be flying out
          with Banzai Bill shooting at you. The best way to prep for this level
          is Blue Yoshi and Feather because it has a better chance for letting
          you survive with all the shells in it.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head on right. When you reach the second
   trench, you'll see a coin in it.

2) After getting Coin 1, head on right again and you should eventually see a
   coin hovering above water.

Now it's time for the fun part. (That was sarcasm.)

3) Keep progressing right until you reach the columns. Fishes will start
   flying, but with Blue Yoshi and a Cape, this shouldn't be as hard. Keep
   going from the first columns and you should see a Coin. The coin is located
   after the Fire Flower.

4) After getting Coin 3, keep going right again. Eventually, you should spot
   another coin in the air. If your travelling by ground, at the end of the
   columns in the air.

5) After getting Coin 4, progress right until you see a Koopa flying. To the
   top right of it is the final Coin in this level. Grab it and then finish
   the level.

Points of Interest:

- At the start of the columns, the "?" block contains an Invincibility Star.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<-------->
Groovy
<-------->

Location: North of Awesome.

Synopsis: Fairly simple level with the exception of the end. Having a Yoshi and
          Feather will make the level easier.

          Also, this is the level you see when you load up the game.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start, head on right and you should see this coin in air, right
   after the "?" block on the ground.

2) Continue on right for a while. Eventually, you'll see a coin under a stone
   block with a Volcano Lotus on top.

3) After the barrage of Volcano Lotus' and Pokies, you'll see a pipe with a
   Piranah Plant coming out. To it's right is another coin.

4) Continue right until uou see a tower of Pokies and a tall purple pipe, get
   past this and you should see another coin, with a Chargin' Chuck under it.

5) After getting the 4th coin, jump down the Stone Platform, and you should see
   the final coin hovering over a Volcano Lotus.

Mondo
<------->

Location: West of Groovy.

Synopsis: The water-land level. Not that difficult to get through. Just
          "pressure pushing." Just swim across or fly across you'll do fine,
          but of course dodging the obstacles and enemies at the same time.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start of the level, head on right until you see a green pipe. Next
   to it is the first coin.

2) After getting the first coin, head right and up the steps of the "?" blocks
   and you should see the second coin.

3) After getting Coin 2, enter the first short purple pipe you see. Enter it
   and you enter a path of coins. At the end of this path is the third coin.

4) Head on right until you see three rows of "?" blocks in the air. Take the
   bottom path and you'll get another coin.

5) After getting Coin 4, progress to the right and you should see an Amazin'
   Flying Hammer Brother. To his right is the final coin. Knock him out and
   get the last coin, then finish the level.

Points of Interest:

- Refer Coin 3.

- After getting Coin 2, head right and inbetween the tall Purple and Silver
  pipes is a Yellow Block. Wait for the water to fill up to hit to get a 1-Up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<------------>
Outrageous
<------------>

Location: West of Mondo.

Synopsis: A very very annoying Forest level with jumping fire on the ground and
          Bullet Bills shooting at you. Blue Yoshi and Feather are recommended
          to complete this level.

Yoshi Coins:

1) Head on right from the start until you see fire on the ground. Make your way
   pass them and you'll eventually see the first coin.

2) After getting the first coin, continue right, jumping pass the three bullet
   towers will bring you to the second coin.

3) When you get the second coin, keep on going right and you should see another
   coin, right after a yellow pipe.

4) After getting Coin 3, continue right. When you meet an Amazin' Hammer
   Brother, kill him, jump on his platform and jump over the pipe and keep
   walking right until you see another coin to get.

5) Near the end of the level should be another Amazin' Hammer Brother. Under
   him is the final Coin for the level.

Points of Interest:

- None

<------->
Funky
<------->

Location: West of Outrageous.

Synopsis: The final level of all the Special Levels. Very simple, with Sumo
          Brothers stomping the ground, Chargin' Chucks here and there and
          Koopas everywhere. To finish it off, at the end of the level, you get
          the message "YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER !!" in coins.

Yoshi Coins:

1) From the start, keep goind right until you see two Blue Koopas on two small
   platforms. Above them in the air is the first coin.

2) Continue on from the first coin until you reach some music blocks. Get on
   top of them, run to the end, drop to the ground, then go left (you should be
   under "?" blocks now) until you see another coin. Continue on right after
   you get the coin.

   Of if your big Mario/Luigi, you can take the "?" block path and break the
   Yellow Blocks mid-way, then go down and get the Coin.

3) Continuing rightwards from the second coin, you'll eventually spot a
   Chargin' Chuck. Kill it or dodge it and go right until you see another one
   at the edge. Above it is the third coin.

4) Keep heading right from the third coin for a while until you see some
   Para-Goomba with wings. Dodge them and jump on the platforms after them and
   you should see the forth coin.

5) After getting the forth coin, keep goin until you see three Chargin' Chucks
   on top of one another on three seperate platforms. Climb to the top one and
   you should see the final coin.

After getting the coins, collect the coins that spell out
"YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER !!" and you'll officially complete the game.
Congratulations!

- After getting the first Coin, when you first see two Yellow Blocks, the left
  one contains a POW switch.

- When you reach the music blocks, the very last one contains an Invincibility
  Star.

Chapter 6: FAQs
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

This section will soon have Frequently Asked Questions about the game. To ask a
questoin, e-mail either writer:

Ikillkenny (Mike Bentley) <[email protected]> or
squirtle_90909/squirtle90909 <[email protected]>

Q) How do I get back in castles?
A) You must first beat the game first (as in defeating Bowser.)

Q) How do I get the Alternate World? I've beaten the Special Levels and all.
   Am I missing something?
A) To get the Alternate World, you have to complete all 96 goals in the game.

Q) Is there a point to collecting the Yoshi/Dragon Coins?
A) The only point to collecting all the Yoshi Coins is to transform them to
   Princess Coins. This adds as a new challenge to the game because collecting
   all the Yoshi Coins for every level is a challenge because you have to seek
   them out.
