0) Introduction

Welcome to the Weapon Secrets FAQ for the game Summon Night: Craft Sword 2.
This is the 2nd game of Summon Night for the GBA, but not really related to the
first one. This is for the people who want to know what

they're forging and the
effects of materials if they temper them into weapons. You can see some weird
names in this FAQ since some of the materials and names have Kanji in them. I
tried to consult xcomp's SN:CS2 FAQ, since it was OK to see 'Beast King's
Crest' or 'Lifestone of High Demon' in his FAQ, I figured it wouldn't make any
difference here.

My Japanese is really non-existent. Any corrections would be welcome, as long

1) FAQs

Q: I can't forge anything!
A: First you must get some Forging Material. This can also be thought of as
'blueprints'
for weapons. You can check if you have some free Material in
the 'Weapons' Menu. They're usually shining and have no form yet. You can
get some in chest and another set in the Fishing Mini-game.

Q: I can't temper weapons!
A: To temper weapons, you must raise your Craftsman Ranking to at least
'No. 1 Craftsman of the Village'. In this rank, you can temper 1 material
to one weapon.

Q: How do I get materials for tempering/forging?
A: You can try the fishing mini-game, defeating enemies, breaking stuff,
doing sub-quests and rewards for bosses. Check xcomp's FAQ or the
enemy list to see who drops what.

Q: You have the wrong data/grammar/spelling in your FAQ...
You named your technique wrong...
A: I'm human, yes. Tell me so I can correct it. As for technique names, I
wrote them down as I translated them, unless you want the Energy Shot to be
Pinching Technique...then I can't do anything for you.

Q: So, what is the best weapon out of the 200?
A: I like using the Holy Heaven Saber, but that's just me. Try everything out
so you can see for yourself.

2) Weapon Secrets

A. Sword Type
Includes knives, sabers and blades. Swords are generally fast and have good
damage. They can hit up to 3 times (A, A, A) and the low attack (DOWN+A) is
a thrust that can be followed by two attacks.

B. Axe Type
Axes are strong but slow, as evident with their AGI penalties. They can
destroy enemy weapons well. It hits twice but has a charged attack, a
strong upward swing by pressing and holding DOWN+A.

C. Spear Type
Spears have a long range, but it's still not a bow. It is very effective
against airborne enemies. It only has a thrust attack, but its DOWN+A attack
is useful against flying enemies. The air attack also has two hits.

D. Knuckle type
Knuckles have short range, but it hits enemies more than any weapon (except
maybe the drill...), at least 5 times. Its DOWN+A attack can be charged into
a powerful
uppercut. It's still weaker than the sword, but I guess the speed
makes up for it.

E. Drill type
Drills have the highest durability in the game, and also has some great ATK
values...but it is slower than the Fist. It has a strong multi-attack using
DOWN+A. As with the axe, it can break down weapons easily.
