2. - The Monsters
==============================================================================
2.1. - Skeletons - Undead Warriors from Beyond Osteoporosis.
==============================================================================
2 Kinds:
Grave Poppers
Areas Found in: All Graveyard levels.
Attacks: Spear Swipe
Dealing with it:
Jump over it's attack and hit it when you land.
-----------------------
Running Skeletons
Areas Found in: Most of the Graveyard and Lab levels.
Attacks: Tackle
Dealing with it:
Alicia has it easy here, as her attack is long range and can hit'em before
they become a problem. For Greg, wait until it's about to attack and then
hit it.
2.3. - Witches - Crocked Nosed Minion of the Mystic Arts.
==============================================================================
1 Kind:
Witch
Areas found in: All of the Haunted House and a few of the Lab levels.
Attacks: Throw spells.
Dealing with it:
As Alicia is dressed like a witch, they won't attack her. Just walk up and
smack'em around. Greg, however, has to actually work. Jump over their spells
and land as many hits as you can.
Areas found in: All of the Haunted House levels.
Attacks: Charge at you.
Dealing with it:
See, these guys are tough because they zip around right out of your attack
range. If they are ground level, run up and hit'em when their back is turned.
Anywhere else (like on the staircase), I'd try to avoid them. Greg, however,
can just walk past them, being dressed like a devil and all.
-----------------------
Arch Demons
Areas found in: Scattered around the Haunted House.
Attacks: Fire Blasts
Dealing with it
Greg has no worries, just walk up and attack. Alicia, not so much. Jump over
it's attacks and hit it in the face. Then, run the hell away. Wait until it
attacks again and jump, attack, end. OR you could try attacking it's body,
but it takes longer (4-6 hits).
3. - The Bosses
==============================================================================
3.1. - The Bogeyman - THE Pumpkin Headed Closet Phantom.
==============================================================================
Attacks: 1. Tackle
2. Pumpkin Roll
Character: Alicia
Ok, this guy is pretty easy, just remember to grab the Sparks behind you
before jumping down.
When you first enter the arena, he’ll start running towards you. Jump up and
smack him in the face. Now, he’ll run to the far side of the screen (if
you’re standing on the left, he’ll run to the far right and vice versa) and
roll his head at you a few times (normally twice, sometimes three).
Stay in a position so that you can see him moving, but not see his
entire body. Why? After the head rolling thing, he’s going to charge at you
again and you need time to react. When he comes for you, jump and hit his
head again. Rinse, repeat 3 more times and he's done.
3.2. - The Vampire - Blood Sucking Menace of the Night
==============================================================================
Attacks: 1. Lockon Fireballs.
2. Dive Bomb.
Character: Alicia
This ones a little tough. Remember, the Sparks behind you, grab them.
When you first enter, the Vampire will be circling overhead. After two or
three passes he will shoot a fireball at you, which will follow you around.
Not to long later, he’ll shoot another fireball at you. I would suggest trying
to get these fireballs to hit each other, otherwise play the keep away game
and they’ll vanish on their own. Now then, after the whole fireball thing,
the Vampire will dive at you. This is your chance. Jump and smack him in the
head. Rinse, repeat 4 more times.
Note: After each hit he’ll move a little faster. Plus, he might throw an extra
fireball or two at you.
Hard Mode:
Increased speed and many, many more fireballs. But the previous method is
still the best.
3.3. - The Mad Scientist - Stereotypical Master of Surreal Sciences.
==============================================================================
Attacks: 1. Smash from above, followed by...
2. ...Electric Shock.
3. Bomb Drop, causes shockwaves.
Character: Alicia
Much easier than you might think.
Ok, right off the bat, he’ll try to smash you. Move out of the way, but don’t
attack yet. As soon as he touches down, an electrical shield will spark for a
moment. Once it goes down, run up and smack him. Now, he will circle the room,
dropping bombs. When you see one coming, get the hell out of the way. Each
bomb sets off a shockwave that you need to be prepared to avoid. Although it
might not seem like it, there is enough time to avoid each bomb (without
jumping, even). Anyway, after the bombs, he’ll go back to trying to smash you.
Rinse, repeat 4 more times and congratulate yourself for beating the game.
Hard Mode:
Not really faster, he just procrastinates more. Oh, and, more bombs. A lot
more bombs.
Q: Can I choose which character I want to fight with?
A: No. You will always fight a boss battle with Alicia. I think this is
because the bosses would just be to easy as Greg (he can double jump,
you know).
Q: Can’t I use Spark attacks on bosses?
A: No, you need at least 10 Sparks for that, you are only given between 2
and 4. Matter of fact, using a ActionReplay code to give myself unlimted
Sparks, I find that Spark attacks don't seem to harm bosses at all.
Q: Do I have to take all the Sparks before I fight or can I wait until I
need them?
A: When fighting The Bogeyman, no, as the Sparks are up on a cliff (you
drop down to fight him). In the other two fights, yes.
Q: If I beat the game on Hard Mode, do I get to fight that Frankenstein
monster the Mad Scientist was working on?
A: Nope. You never fight him (it?).
Q: What about Time Attack mode, do I get to fight it then?
A: Nope. You never fight it.
Q: Are the bosses any harder in Time Attack mode?
A: No more than usual.
Q: Where did you get these monster names?
A: I made them up (not including the bosses). ^_^
Q: Spark Attacks?
A: At ten sparks, you get a powerful magic attack. Every ten thereafter makes
the magic stronger. A full power spark attack can take out any non-boss in
one hit.
