<What's this about?>

Shin Bokura no Taiyou, a.k.a "SHINBOK" is the third game in the Solar Boy
Django series, bokutai (=bokura no taiyou). Released in 2005, this game never
got released overseas and appears it never will since the advent of the
Nintendo DS has already brought new Solar Boy Django titles, with the 4th game
on its way over.

Fans were pretty upset and suprisingly enough if you wikipedia "shinbok" you
will find links to the petition to bring the game over.

Anyway, my need of practice with Japanese, coupled with my great enjoyment of
this highly creative title, has made me want to write out the script. Hopefully
fans and gamers alike will find this information useful.

I do NOT claim to be fluent! I may even be outright wrong!!
If you find mistakes in translation, then by all means contact me.
My only request is to please send me the japanese sentence(s) as well.
And yes, my email does support UTF-8 input, so send away.

I will try to go more or less in order so if you are playing through a dungeon
you will encounter signs and things sequentially (I hope).

===============================================================================
===========================      WARNING!!!      ==============================

THIS IS NOT A WALKTHRU SO DO NOT ASK ME HOW TO BEAT THE GAME!!

I am merely translating the text. Please DO NOT email me with questions
relating to anything about how to play the game or how to obtain it.
                            I will ignore you.

[INTRODUCTION]-----------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

..At the end of the century...

People forgot about the sun. It was an age of darkness.
With the appearance of the Family of Darkness, the world was shrouded in fear.
The living became undead. The undead wandered throughout the world.

By the actions of the warriors, those who were the last hope,
It appeared that a brief rest was regained, as well as the sun.
But, as the warriors were defeated by a comrade turned traitor,
Its form was never to be seen again.

The beast of destruction awoke
The world was plunged into eternal darkness
When the sun's light is regained, it is said the warriors will reawaken.
However, in the present day without warriors,
Just who would be able to regain the sun...?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dark-clothed boy:
- Where am I...? Where is this place?
- Is this a dream...? But if it is, then this doesn't seem like my dream...

[Faces figure]
- Is this what called me?
- Is it sleeping? No, this is...sealed away by the Lunar Family?
- Even so, this is no ordinary monster...

[Glows]
- This is...the blood of the Lunar
Family, which flows through my body,
 trying to warn me??

- It has already awakened, huh?
- I see...for your revival, you require my blood, the power of the Moon Maiden
 (Lunar Beauty)?
- However I will not allow it!!
- I will put you to rest for another eternity!!

[Beam attack]
-
Guh...don't tell me...?

White-costumed Boy
- What a pity, Mr. Sabata

Sabata
- An Immortal!?

White-costumed Boy
- Hahahaha...
- The beast of destruction, Vanargandr
- Neither given life nor death, a being that just exists,
 an absolute existance (an Eternal)
- Such as the way he exists in this dream too...
- This is no opponent you can defeat, as you are a child of darkness...
- You can't kill something that isn't alive
- The same goes for your brother, the Solar Boy Django, who controls
 the power of the sun

Sabata
- It was an Eternal after all
- But after you revive this monster what do you plan to do?
- To erase all of the life on this planet...even if that is the will of the
galaxy, you and your family plan on being erased too?

White-costumed Boy
- That's why I need your cooperation

Sabata
- What are you talking about?

White-costumed Boy
- Even for me, the so-called Puppeteer,
- To control an Eternal is impossible.
- However, if a child of darkness carrying the blood of the moon is around,
 then it's another story
- If I have the power of the Lunar Beauty,
- I can connect to Vanargandr's soul.
- I can become a beast of destruction!
- Yes, I can obtain this great power!

Sabata
- Hmph...
- You think that I'll let you?

White-costumed Boy
- Hahaha...
- I don't need your permission
- A puppet needs has no need for free will!!

Sabata
- Ngh, This is...!
- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

[FLASHBACK BEGINS]-------------------------------------------------------------

Sabata
- It seems you defeated the Count, Django! As expected of a Solar Boy...

Otenko
- You are...?!

Sabata
- I am the Dark Child, Sabata
- I am neither friend nor foe...

[Scene change]

Sabata
- I am...
- Neither an Immortal nor a human...
- I am the Dark Child, chosen by the galaxy (Darkness)!!
- I will not do as the Queen of Darkness pleases!
- ...ngh!!
- There's no time left. It's time to settle things.

[Scene change]

Sabata
- Huff....huff...why!!
- Having obtained both the power of the Dark Matter's four elements and the
power of the sun...why would I...!!
- How can I lose to you, who was always protected by mother and father, you
who grew up living a comfortable life...
- No, I will not lose!!

[Scene change]

Sabata
- Get ahold of yourself, Django!!

Otenko
- Sabata?

Sabata
- We have inherited the sun and the moon, two different bloodlines...
- If we team up, we should be able to overcome our weaknesses
- We will defeat the Queen of Darkness, and rescue our mother!!

[Scene change]

Sabata
- You're going no matter what?
- Hmph...to end all life on this planet is the will of the Galaxy...
and you two are the ones who oppose it. I take it you're used to fights you
 can't win?

[Scene change]

Sabata
- The galaxy is the origin of all life. Your opponent is its will,
the Dark. You never had a chance from the start.
- But I...have no interest the outcome.
- ...what kind of lives will everything lead?
- Conflict and to continue fighting. To me, that is what it means to be alive!

[Scene change]

Sabata
- Mother was lost, father was defeated
- Even so, we must continue onward, to continue fighting...
- That alone is the absolute way to resist the Dark!
- Right, Django?

[Title]
The New Boktai - Sabata's Counterattack

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Dungeon 1 - The Locked Prison]------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Voice
- Django, don't die!!
- Open your eyes, Solar Boy Django!!

???
- Have you regained your senses, Django?
- It seems this time you were only saved by your Vampire blood
- For it to come to this...
- What, you don't remember?
- So you have mild amnesia...but don't tell me you've forgotten who I am
and that we've come to battle the Immortals?
- I am the messenger of the sun, Otenko
- Anyway, we first need to escape from this prison

Otenko
- Listen up, Django
- The LIFE gague in the upper left displays your vitality
- If you take damage by enemy attacks, your LIFE will be reduced
- If your LIFE becomes zero, it's game over.
- Below LIFE is ENE which displays your energy
- Your weapon, Gun del Sol, is a magic device. Without energy you can't use it.
- You must recover your energy somewhere...
- Let's go, Solar Boy Django!! May the sun be with you!

[Treasure box]

Otenko
- It seems you have obtained an item.
- That is a Solar Nut, which only grows around the Solar Tree.
- It is a type of fruit that is especially high in energy.
- If you use it, you can recover energy, allowing you to use the Gun del Sol.
- In order to use items, open the start menu screen. Using the L/R buttons,
select the item menu, then try selecting "Use".

[B3F]

Otenko
- Wait, Django!
- Look over there.
- That is an underling of the Immortals, an undead type monster--Ghoul.
- Many enemy monsters have senses of sight and hearing
- If you approach from the front, you will obviously be attacked on sight.
But, if it is from behind, you can slip past or even commence a premptive
 attack.
- An attack from behind can deal great damage to enemy monsters.
- With the Gun del Sol that you currently have equipped, pressing the B button
will make you aim your gun, and letting go of it will fire a Solar Shot.
- For starters, how about trying to attack that Ghoul from behind?

[North room]

Otenko
- Django, there's a skylight!
- As a Solar Boy, your energy will naturally recharge as long as you are
 covered by sunlight.
- In the bottom center of the screen is the SUN gauge. It displays
the amount of sunlight the solar sensor is catching.
- If the Solar gauge is high, the energy recovery rate is fast
- In addition, pressing the A button allows you to perform a Solar Charge,
 which recovers energy even faster.
- However, you can't do it in indoor places where the sun doesn't reach.
- No matter how high the solar gauge, it is impossible to recover energy.
- In those places, skylights will come in handy.
- Under their light, you can recover energy just as if you were outside.
- We still have a ways to go. Why not take this time to recover?

[Further up]

Otenko
- This is a Hint Panel
- Hint Panels are guides for adventurers left by the ancestors.
- They teach basic knowledge required for exploring as well as hints that
 help to get past difficulties.
- Get close to a panel and press the A button to read them.

[Hint Panel - Looking Around]
- While holding down the R button, use the directional keys to move. You can
 see your surroundings.
- Adventurers, when you enter a new area, check the state of what's around you.

[Hint Panel - Moving Blocks]
- For movable blocks like wooden crates, get close to the block and hold down
a directional button to move them.
- Adventurers, carve a path with your own hands!

[Further down]

Otenko
- Hmm...while too narrow to be a path, if you cling to the wall getting
across it will pose no problem.
- Approach the wall while holding down the directional button to cling to it.
- While doing that, hold another directional button in a direction the arrows
 point to shimmy across.
- Can you master this skill without forgetting about it, Django?

[Next room]

Otenko
- Spiders, huh?
- Spider, a beast type monster, leaves a cobweb to try to trap its enemy.
- When caught in spider webs, and by other monsters' traps, quickly press the
 directional buttons to break free.
- Spider webs cannot normally be seen, but if you fire a Solar Shot, they will
 shine.

[If you try to leave without taking the green chest]

Otenko
- Django, didn't you notice something?
- If you always rush ahead, from here on you may not be able to
 complete your adventure.

[Green chest]

Otenko
- You've obtained Gun del Sol parts, it seems.
- That is the Solar Gun Frame "Wizard". By changing frames, you can change its
type of attack. To equip frames, open the menu and go to the Solar Gun screen
- Up to 8 can be equiped at a time.
- By holding select and pressing the R button, you can quickly change
 equipped frames.
- You must understand each frame's characteristics well to use them effectively

[Next room]

Otenko
- By the way, Django, did you make a record of your adventure?
- To save, go to the save menu. Accidents always come with adventure.
Just in case they happen, don't forget to save!

* TRAP - Defeat the skeleton *

Otenko
- It looks like you've leveled up, Django.
- By defeating enemy monsters you gain experience. By gaining more than a
a certain amount, you will level up. When you level up you can allocate
status points to strengthen your abilities.
- The abilities you can strengthen are "Body", which influences the LIFE
gauge's maximum value, "Heart", which influences the ENE (energy) gauge's
maximum value, and "Power", which influences your attack power. Those are
 the three.
- To distribute the points, go to the status menu screen
- Even if you level up, if you don't distribute the points, no abilities will
 improve.
- Just remember, don't forget to allocate your points.

[Next room]

Otenko
- For you of all people to have your item stolen is hard to believe
- You still haven't recovered yet?
- Well, it's to be expected since you overdid it back there...
- The sun will rise again tomorrow!!
- Pull yourself together and let's go, Django!

[Green Chest]
- You've obtained the map!

Otenko
- I see you've got the map
- You look at the dungeon map, go to the map menu screen.
- To see the map, you must first have the dungeon map.
- Dungeons may not be limited to one map, so be careful.

[Hint Panel - Directions]
- Adventurers, do not lose your way!
- Know that the screen's upper right is north, the lower right is east, the
lower left is south, and the upper left is west!

[Switch to the south]

Otenko
- This is a weight switch. If you place something heavy as a weight on top of
 it, the switch should activate...

[After pressing the switch and taking the chest]

Otenko
- You've obtained a sword-type weapon.
- Swords are different than Gun del Sol, even without energy you can use them.
- Unlike a Solar Shot, you cannot attack faraway enemies, but you can destroy
 objects like wooden crates.
- Among swords, it seems there are some that have unique effects too
- To equip a sword, go to the sword menu screen. On the main screen hold select
and press R to quick change, allowing you to switch the one you are holding.
- Pressing the B button wil steady your sword, letting go of it will release
 an attack.
- Gun del Sol and swords...understanding their unique characteristics, you can
use them both effectively for different situations.

[Hint Panel - Solar Bamboo and Spirit Bugs]
- When you use weapons inside a dungeon, sometimes a crystal-like object will
spring up from the ground. That is the Solar Bamboo Shoot, an accumulation
of energy stored in the ground.
- Inside of Solar Bamboo resides three species of spirit bugs.
- Solar bugs, which restore the energy of those who touch them,
 Lunar bugs, which restore life,
and Darkness bugs, which steal energy.
- You can call together Solar and Lunar bugs by performing a solar charge,
but Darkness bugs will approach on their own to try to steal energy.
- Adventurers, do not be caught off guard!

[North room w/ switch]

[Approach the metal door first]

Otenko
- Ah, iron bars. There must be some sort of switch somewhere to open this door.
- Django, find the switch!

[Approach the switch first]

Otenko
- A lever switch? This one is to trigger some sort of device.
- In order to trigger it, you should hit it with an attack.
- What will you do, Django?

[Next room]

Otenko
- A skylight, and a ghoul...
- Listen carefully, Django.
- Undead type monsters are weak to sunlight.
- If you can lure them into the light, you can inflict damage upon them without
 attacking at all.
- To lure enemy monsters with good hearing, a wall tap can be very effective.
- While clinging to a wall, if you press the A button, monsters will be lured
to the sound you just made.
- This is an essential technique. Go ahead and master it right now.

[Next room]

Otenko
- This sensation...
- Those are KLOROFOLURUN, a phantom type monster,
whose form was created by dark matter.
- If adventurers get too close, they cling on and try to drain life
- In case they grab hold, quickly move the directional buttons to shake them
 off immediately.
- Since FOLURUN are darkness, they are weak to sunlight.
- Just as with ghouls, a skylight's rays will damage them.

[Next floor]

Otenko
- That is a Solar Stand and a Solar Bamboo
- The solar stand is a magical device that automatically stores the light
 caught by the solar sensor.
- In front of the stand, if you hold down the A button, you can perform an
 energy charge.
- Because you can perform a charge here even at night, it would be a good
idea to collect energy during the noon hours.
- And about the Solar Bamboo...
- It is a fully grown solar sprout that rose up out of the ground.
- By attacking it, you can call out the Lunar bugs inside.
- No matter how much you attack it, it can't be destroyed, so don't worry.
- But what I'm worried about is this sensation of darkness...
- It's not quite that of an immortal...
- Don't lower your guard, Django!!

* TRAP - Defeat the BRONZE ARMOR!! *

[Chest]
- You have obtained Photograph - Sabata (A) -

[Next room]

Otenko
- This is...a seal of darkness?
- First burying you, then going so far as to apply a seal...
- I can't believe this was his true intent...
- Curses! at this rate we will never be able to escape this underground prison!
- Isn't there any other way?!

???
- UWAAAAAH!

Blue Poncho Boy
- OUCH!!
- Damn, my ass was nearly split into two!!
- Sheesh...
- Dunno if that was time warp or time travel, but...
- Even if I deserved it, for stealing some bread crusts this is going too far!!
- Could this really be...
- ...I've arrived at the century's end?
- Then, somewhere in this world are the legendary warriors?
- ...Please, that's just a stupid fairy tale.
- Even if they were here, they'd be dead anyway.
- It'd be useless to even try to find them.
- Saying I was a descendent of the legendary warriors,
- It was too wild a story to use as an excuse for stealing
- Besides...I'm starving.
- "Here lies the solar boy, Django..."
- This is bad!!
- Wait a sec, Solar Boy??
- That's the...moon?
- The real moon!?
- So then, this really is...
- Isn't this world still under the control of darkness?
- It doesn't seem like food will be my only problem!
- Well, I didn't mean it.
- Don't haunt me, solar boy!
- See ya!

Otenko
- The seal of darkness has weakened!
- Why would it...no, that doesn't matter right now...
- You might be able to break the seal now! Shoot it!!
- Yes!! Now we can get back to the surface!

Otenko
- Oh my, we're saved
- You've never looked better, Django!

Django
- Same to you, Otenko!

Otenko
- ha ha ha...
- Even so, why did he do this...
- Looks like you remember, Django...

[Cutscene]

???
- As expected of our master, Lord Sabata...

???
- A great calamity...
- The beast of destruction, Vanargandr
- And the one who inherits that power, The Boy of Darkness

???
- Vanargandr will soon be freed
- When the moon is covered by blood and soil, the beast of destruction
 shall be released

???
- And so it will hail the end of the sun's seasons,
and the Age of Darkness shall begin

Sabata
- Farewell, Solar Boy Django...
- Now nothing stands in our way
- The world is...finished.

[End Cutscene]

Otenko
- What happened to Sabata...?
- Although he was raised as the Boy of Darkness by the Queen,
- He is one who, like you, inherited the blood of the sun and moon
- But, defeating the younger brother who shares his blood,
 and then sealing him away...
- Perhaps, being controlled by Dark Matter inside of his body,
he is seeking to destroy the world?
- However...
- I can't imagine Sabata joining the likes of those Immortals
- There's definitely something behind this.

???
- Hehehe
- You were alive after all, Django!

Otenko
- You are...the Count?!
- You've revived once again?!

count
- Is that how you greet a friend? ...Otenko, messenger of the sun?
- Surely you have not forgotten?
- I am the Vampire Lord...I can revive any number of times
- and the beast of destruction's revival is near at hand
- Don't you think it would be best to get going?

Otenko
- Just what are you trying to say?
- We don't need you to tell us.
We have no intention to do as you Immortals wish!

Count
- Hahaha, then I will tell you this...
- The only single way to stop Vanargandr's revival

Otenko
- What did you say?!

Count
- There is just one way to stop the world's decay
- That is, the Boy of Darkness, Sabata
- You must defeat that boy, who is Vanargandr's successor

Otenko
- Rediculous!
- Sabata is that thing's successor...!

Count
- What now, Django? Can you really defeat your older brother?
- Buwahahaha!
- If you are truly prepared for it,
- then come after the four of us immortals!
- I'll be waiting in the eastern land, Solar Boy Django!!

Otenko
- The four immortals...
- If their goal is to revive Vanargandr...
- is Sabata being controlled by them?
- Or else...
- Django...
- Be that as it may, the time to settle this will come
- Until that time, you must decide in your heart what you will do
- I wonder if that heart will decide our fate
- No matter what kind of outcome awaits you,
- I am always with you.
- Besides, for the time being we have no choice but to go after the Count.
- Let's go, Django!
- The sun will rise again tomorrow!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[End Dungeon 1]----------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following is an automatic cutscene you must view when you return to town.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[HOME]

Girl with an Apron
- Big brother!

Otenko
- Hmm
- Looks like your memory hasn't completely returned yet

Girl with an Apron
- Big brother, did you forget about Sumire?
- After all the hard work Sumire did to look after the house while you were
 gone...!
- Meanie!!
- sniff...

???
- I'm disappointed in you, making a girl cry...

Suspicious Man
- Hey, Django-boy...
- Were you trapped in the underground prison?
- That reminds me, this extra coffin here,
- Seems he's really taken a liking to you.
- ha ha ha...
- The truth is, I've finally completed something entirely different
- Take a look!
- This is the ultimate coffin, completed as the result of many years
 worth of research--the Vector Coffin!!
- And...
- The Coffin Bike!!

Coffin Dealer
- Suprised, eh?
- This Coffin Bike is a magical machine that's loaded with a Solar Engine
- As long as you've got this, you can travel to dungeons you haven't seen,
and even to the ends of the world!
- As for how to use it, ...well, you'll get the hang of it as you drive it
- Of course, as you've been doing all along,
- It's equipped to allow you to seal immortals, so rest assured.
- Come to think of it, I haven't given it a name yet.
- This guy's pretty pitiful without a name...can you think of anything?

(This screen reads "Bike Name", and you can enter anything you like.
Default name is "My Bike" ...pretty unimpressive...)

You've recieved the Coffin Bike, [My Bike]!! (or whatever it's called)

Coffin Dealer
- "My Bike", huh?
- Hahaha, it fits you
- By exchanging parts on the Bike,
- You can customize the machine to your liking.
- If you want to customize, just talk to me.
- If you enter the garage, you can take the bike out on a course for a test run
- It would be good to first get used to the bike by trying to drive it
on the road around this city.

(From here on you are free to do things. I am going to just list in the order
I went around the town).

TALKING TO PEOPLE:

[Coffin Dealer]
- Hey...
- What'll it be? (menu below)

[Customize] [Rename]
[Talk]

-> Customize menu has three parts (left to right)
Customize > submenu: Front/Body/Tire/Special
Option > submenu: Option 1/2/3/4
Color > submenu: Color 1/2

If you talk to the dealer now, he says:
- Without parts you can't being to customize the bike.
- Django, you need to first gather some parts!

Or he could say...
- The parts comprising the bike
- are basically the front, body, and tires
- The front decides the attack method, or in otherwords is a part that
 decides the weapon
- The weapon sets the attack power and cost (energy expenditure)
- The body decides the acceleration, speed, and HP (sturdiness)
- The amount of Option slots (amount you can equip) is also determined
 by the body
- The tires affect the handling and braking performance,
- as well as the boost's cost (energy expenditure)
- There are also tires that are exclusive for specific road surfaces

[Talk to the Black Cat]
- Meow?

Sumire
- Kuro-chan always does nothing but sleep!
- If you think about wanting to wake him up, he always disappears somewhere
- He's such a bum!

Cat
- Meow!

Sumire
- Hmph!
- Freeloader!

[Talk to Sumire]
- Big bro!
- Did you really forget about Sumire?
[I don't remember] [I do remember]

Choose you remember and...
- Thank goodness!!
- Grandpa was worried too!
- He's across in the Smithery so make sure to say hello
- Could it be...
- You're going on another adventure?
- Then Sumire and Blackie will protect the house!
- Just say when you want to use the warehouse
- Sumire will take care of the stuffed animals decorating your room too!

Talk to her again:
- Wha'cha want?
[Warehouse] [Stuffed animals] [Talk]

If you choose talk,
- Sabata...what happened to him?
- He really helped out everyone back then
- Did he tease you? Did he do something bad?
- I can't believe that...

Or she could say
- In the warehouse,
- You can leave items, swords, and accessories
- Be careful because you can't store things you have equipped

[Talk to otenko]
- The solar town, San Miguel
- The hometown of you and your father
- Good that we've returned safely
- But the real battle is from here on
- The first thing we should do is make preparations for your adventure
- Listen to everyone carefully
- You should understand the roles of your guests' services as well as how
 to use them
- Got that, Django?

And once again...
- Do you remember the count's words?
- The new enemy, the band of four immortals
- They are scheming to revive the beast of destruction, Vanargandr
- And its successor, the Boy of Darkness...
- Does Sabata really intend to end this Doomsday world?
- Anyways, we have no choice but to go after the count's lead
- Django, as soon as you are ready, let's depart!

And again...
- Just as you have a level,
- Enemy monsters, too, have levels
- In order to know enemy levels,
- When you attack an enemy, in the upper right hand part of the screen,
take a look at the numerical value displayed
- Even if you meet the same type of monster, because of different times and
places, its strength is not limited to be the same as others
- Be careful

---OTHER THINGS IN THE HOUSE---

[In your house, examine the Otenko doll]
- It's a stuffed animal that looks like Otenko!
- He seems happy. Looking at him makes you feel energized!

[If you open the green chest you get the "Luna Lens"]

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exit the house to see the town map, San Miguel

The map is like this: (If you've played Zoktai, then it's the same layout)

[Clock tower] [Bank Loans]                         [   Inn    ] [  Library  ]
[  Garage   ] [ Tool shop] [Accessory shop] [Home] [Blacksmith] [Weapon shop]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Since Home is done for now, here's the other places' conversations:

[Clock tower]------------------------------------------------------------------

Old man with glasses
- Long time no see, kid
- What?! You don't remember this old man?!
- What the heck!! As old as I may be, even I don't forget that much at once!
- Not that I, Ennio, have grown old...
- I have never even once neglected my job to protect this clock tower!
- I have no more time for your stupid pranks!
- If you have nothing to do here, then get out! Got it?

Talk to him again...
- What?? The time's off?
- Are you saying my great clock is not working properly?
[It's out of order] [It's working fine]

If out of order...
- Hmph...I have no choice...
- But the residents of this town live by this grand clock
- I cannot change the time easily
- I can only correct the clock once a day
- If you alter the time, data will be saved so you cannot correct it again.
- What will you do, kid? Will you fix the clock?
[Fix it] [Don't fix it]

If you fix it...
- All set!!
- Goodness, my bones feel like they're going to break
- So you're all done here? Get out, okay!!

If you "don't fix it" or say "it's working fine"...
- What, you're just making fun of me?
- Do you know the saying, time is money?
- I'm busy. I can't be bothered by trivial things.
- There's no way my great clock could be off.
- This great clock once stood through the disaster that destroyed the old world
- And since then has never once been off
- What?
- You've heard this story before?
- Then, all that stuff about forgetting me was just a lie!
- You remember perfectly!!
- Messing around with old people...you should know your limits!
- Youngsters these days have no idea what manners are!

[Bank Loans]-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hint panel:

???
- Greetings! Welcome to the Solar Bank!

???
- Greetings! Welcome to the Dark Loans!

???
- I'm the solar bank's receptionist, Akiko!
(translator's note: the kanji in her name also mean proton)

???
- I'm the dark loans' receptionist, Anko!

Akiko and Anko
- The both of us here at Solar Bank and Dark Loans will
 give you an explanation.
- We look forward to doing business with you!

Menu: About the Bank and Loans
[Solar Stand] [Solar Bank]
[Dark Loans ] [Dark Card ]

[Solar Stand]
Akiko of the Solar Bank
- Allow me to explain!
- To the right side is a green machine, the Solar Stand
- The light that the Solar Sensor has caught
- is automatically stored as energy (ENE) in this magical device.
- The energy accumulated in the stand
- allows you to charge by standing in front of it and pushing the A button.
- Because you can charge even at night, it would be wise to store sunlight
 during the afternoon.
- Since Solar Stands are installed all over in dungeons, please make
 effective use of them

[Solar Bank]
Akiko of the Solar Bank
- Allow me to explain!
- The Solar Bank takes the stored energy (ENE) of the Solar Stand,
- and stores it as SOLL, or currency
- The SOLL stored in the Bank can be used like money to
 purchase things in shops
- Because SOLL can also accumulate interest,
- it would be wise to store your unused energy in the bank

[Dark Loans]
Dark Loans' Anko
- Allow me to explain!
- At Dark Loans, we lend energy (ENE)
- You can charge energy 24 hours a day. How convenient!
- However, it's a rule in this world that you have to return what you borrowed
- In three days, the energy we've loaned
- will be automatically debited from the Solar Bank as SOLL
- In the event that your balance is insufficient, more will be debited from
 the solar stand
- But if even that isn't enough...
- Something very bad will happen. I look forward to it!

[Dark Card]
Dark Loans' Anko
- Allow me to explain!
- Dark Loans' Gold Card, the Dark Card, offers two service features
- One service is to call up Dark Loans
- If you use this, you can use Dark Loans whenever and whereever you want.
 How convenient!
- The other service, limited to Gold Members, is the Retry Service
- Say inside a dungeon, a terrible mistake you weren't prepared for occurs!
- This Retry service is convenient for such cases
- If you choose to retry, from the moment you entered a dungeon's area,
- you can do over that part of your adventure.
- However, in order to retry there is a price to pay
- In three days, the charged price will be debited from the solar station.
 I look forward to it!

USING THE BANKS:-----------------------

- Dark Loan

[ some # ] %.

Text below:

text below in box:
0000 SOLL x (1+interest:#)
=0000 SOLL Borrowed.

Thank you very much! (after you exit)

The yellow bank:
exactly the same, except the main screen is

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Garage]-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Coffin on the left:
- Woof!

The man in front:
Man with sunglasses
- You're late, Django!!
- If you're going to act like that, you'll never reach the top of the blazing
 world of biking!
- Or could it be...
- You don't know what's going on?
- Then let me tell you...
- Starting from today, I'm going to be your coach!
- Coach...
- Coach of what? It's obvious!
- The blazing steel horse that soars across the plains...the coffin bike!!
- Hmm...whatever...
- Get a hold of yourself, and prepare for the harsh world of biking
- Let's move onto the training!
- First is how to control the Coffin Bike.
- The directional buttons are used to steer the bike. It's like your handle.
- The R button, when pressed, accelerates the bike. That's your axel.
- The L is your boost.
- It's only temporary, but it will instantly accelerate your bike.
- And with the B button, the weapon you've equiped on the front
- Can be used to attack enemy monsters and obstacles.
- Right now you probably don't have any, but if you've equipped a "special",
- By pressing the A button,
- Besides attacking, you can recover, defend, and so on.
- However, boost, weapon, and special parts will consume energy.
- Be careful of your remaining energy
- That's about it for the Coffin Bike's basic controls.
- Now get out there on the circuit, and give that bike a spin!

If you talk to him again:
Coach
- Don't waste time!
- Get going already!!
Menu:
[Customize] [Rename]
[ Circuit ] [ Talk ]

If you talk to him:
- LIsten up Django!
- In order to replenish your energy, you need the sun's light
- But if you remain in strong light for too long,
- The Coffin Bike will eventually overheat, just like you.
-
