= Introduction =

*Please Note*   This is my first FAQ. If it's kinda sloppy, just email me for
               suggesstions.


This guide will attempt to explain the best possible route for collecting all
items, plus some speed tips.  I have played through this game several times
with some careful studying. This route was constructed by me alone. (so far)
I have "disovered" everything here unless otherwise noted. This doesn't mean
that I was the first to figure it out. It just means that I figured it out
by myself.

This guide was also written, expecting that you have played through the game
before. You don't need to know exactly where the power-ups are because I'll
will explain how to get them. The general layout of the maps and the plot
however, I will not explain very thoroughly.

One thing that I highly disapprove of is the use of emulators for speed runs.
I will be using one to tell you the optimal times for the end of each part, but
I will not count it as my high score. It is just too easy with save states.

If you want to navigate the FAQ easily, search for the topic name. I have not
include the Roman Numerals in the headings.

= Tricks =
==========

There are a few tricks that should be known before starting.

------------
Wall Jumping
------------

This is simple.  Somersault into a wall.  Then press the opposite direction
and the jump button at roughly the same time. *Note* When this is attempted,
Samus's feet need to be next to the wall for her to boost herself. She doesn't
jump with her head, so that won't work. Make sure her feet are touching.

Underwater Wall Jumping
-----------------------

It is possible to wall jump underwater without the gravity suit, and gain
height. These are hard to do because the must be performed extremely quickley
in succession.

Shinesparking
-------------

There are a few things to note here.

1) Charging the spark. Just press down while running. Do a standing jump to
spark.

2) Narrow Corriders. You can spark when their is a ceiling right above Samus.
Just keep tapping A.

3) Space Jumping. When you are running at full speed, you can space jump in 1
direction and still keep the speed. You will lose it when you land or hit a
wall that can't be destroyed by shinesparks. (You can bust screw attack blocks
too if you have it)

4) Fast charging. When you shinespark horizontally, you can regain you running
speed if you hit a ramp. (Be sure to hold in the direction of your movement or
you will hit the ramp just like you hit a wall)

5) Jumping after impact. Hold the jump button after hitting a wall to jump in
any direction you choose.

Shooting Techniques
-------------------

1) Shooting trick 1. If you press R when you have a fully charged beam and at
least 1 missile, you will shoot the beam without affecting your jumping or
horizontal ladder climbing. Your beam will shoot horizontally in the direction
your facing (diagonally if you are holding L) when you are space jumping. The
ceiling ladders are more difficult. The beam will launch in the direction your
arm is pointing. (This trick is used hardly at all.)

2) Shooting trick 2. If you go into morph ball mode with a charge beam, you
will shoot it in the direction your facing.

3) Charging trick. If you fail to charge your beam, and charging it will mess
you up. Hit start. Then hold in B. You will start charging you beam without
doing an initial shot. I'm not sure how much time is wasted with pausing the
game, but I'm sure its not much.

4) More Damage. Shooting a charge beam at close range will deal more damage to
enemies. The reason is probably the little flare that appears when the shot is
released. When the flare hits, you will see an anime-style slash appear next
to your gun, and you will sometimes hear a wierd sound.

Temporary Screw attack
----------------------

Somersaulting into an enemy with a charged shot, will either do major damage,
or kill weaker enemies.

Extended Jumping
----------------

When somersaulting, you will gain a little horizontal distance if you shoot
your beam. After shooting, you can press A to somersault again. Doing this
repeatidly will give you a little extra distance.

Falling Slower
--------------

Going into morph ball mode whill falling will slow your descent. Unmorph and
repeat for better results.

Ladders and Space Jumping
-------------------------

After getting the space jump, you can use ladders for faster climbing. Jump
into a ladder, then jump off. You can fly back into the ladder and grab it
again. Since normal space jumping requires you to fall a little before jumping
again, this is faster.

= Speed Tips =
==============

Tip 1: Never stop moving, even for enemies. Stopping wastes time. If enemies
      slow you down, try to find ways to kill them before they do.

Tip 2: Shoot as fast as you can. Faster shooting = faster killing. Sometimes
      you can shoot several shots and kill something faster that you can
      charge.

Tip 3: Charge beams are great for rooms with lots of enemies. Do spin jumps.

Tip 4: Only 3 beams and 1 charge beam can be on the screen at a time. There is
      also a very small delay before you can shoot again.

Tip 5: Only 2 missiles on the screen at a time. Also, the higher grade the
      missile, the longer it takes to shoot them. Remember the firing speed
      for bosses. Another thing about missile: They fire a little differently
      when you hold L and you are running instead of standing still.

Tip 6: Don't let the Core-X stay vulnerable. As soon as he stops flashing, 1
      of your missiles should be hitting him. The more you play the better you
      will get at timing this. Also, try to kill it where the X will
      materialize for grabs. If you are lucky, you can grab it as soon as you
      kill it.

Tip 7: Ladders slow you down a lot. Skip them as much as possible.

Tip 8: Jumping is slower than running, but landing is slower than jumping. If
      there is a small platform that you land on when running off a ledge, do
      a short hop to keep from landing on it. Otherwise, don't jump unless you
      need to.

Tip 9: Use a somersault to move left or right when falling off a ledge or
      falling past platforms. This will help prevent you from grabbing them.

Tip 10: Everything that is an enemy, but frozen (such as the cocoons, dormant
       pillar monsters, and enemies frozen with ice), has a glitch. If you
       stand next to them and somersault into them, you will appear on top of
       them. This is probably faster than trying to jump on them manually.

Tip 11: In every speed run, recharge rooms are your worst enemy.

Tip 12: The easiest way to open the walls with the button next to them that are
       near the entrance of a room, is with a charge beam. Charge the beam in
       the previous room and hold in L. When you exit this room (As soon as
       the screen turns black) release B. You will shoot immedietly after
       entering the room, at the button. This is about the only way to open
       one of the doors in Sector 5 without hitting the wall. (Unless you have
       extremely perfect timing)

Tip 13: When setting bombs near tunnels, don't stay morphed while next to them.
       They cause you to bounce, wasting your time. Either unmorph and morph
       back after the explosion, or jump and land right after it explodes.
       This isn't necessary when inside a tunnel though, or when you need to
       bounce and have no morph ball jump.

Tip 14: When morphing in midair, try to do it close to the ground. This way
       you won't bounce when you land.

Tip 15: You can't grab ledges when a power bomb explosion is touching you.

= Playing the Game =
====================

This is where the fun begins. At the beginning of each part, I listed where the
part begins and where it ends.

First of all, you will need two abilities before attempting this hard-core
speed run. Skill and patience. Yes, patience. Mistakes will lose you time and
that means resetting. And trust me, you may need to reset a lot. You can still
get under two hours with several mistakes but if you want a very good time, you
must make as little mistakes as possible.

I have also listed suggested save points. Use them if you like. But I will list
the save points that I use.

At the boss doors, I will note a few things. Their is usually a save point
right before the boss doors. When you save their, it is advisable that you
try to kill the door without it shooting you at all. Since you saved right
then, it is no worry to reset. If you have not saved however, I will list how
many times the door will shoot before you start losing time. (compared to you
losing time going and saving) These numbers are only estimates though. It may
be more or less. If you really want to get a low time, try for a "perfect" door
without going to a save point.

If you have an extra save file, use it to copy your speed run data at saves.
This is very helpful when you don't want to save before a boss or at different
points during your real run, but you don't want to keep playing the parts you
are good at over and over. Just save before those parts on the copy and
practice all you want. Then when you are ready, try it on the real run.

I will use a variety of terms in this guide but I will point out the ones that
aren't very clear.

Ledge - Something that is attached to a wall or the ground or something.
Platform - A ledge that is floating in the air.
Pillar - Usually a ledge that goes straight up for bit and looks like a pillar.
Tunnel - Places only morph balls can go through. (One exception is the glass
        tubes in Sector 4. I called them tunnels too.)

Anyway, onto the guide.

Part 1
------

Ship - Sector 1

I highly advise saving right after you exit the ship. Resetting without saving
is such a pain because of the extremely long intro. Plus, this is one of the
hardest parts, because several well-timed wall jumps are needed for a very good
time.

Start moving left until you get to the long, verticle shaft. This would take
a while to explaing so here is a picture instead.

Run left until you get to the navigation room. Talk to the computer. Go left.
Jump on the first platform. Then jump onto the yellow ledge. Jump on the next
platform, then the ledge. Jump and hang on the platform on the left side. Climb
up and head to the door. In this room, try not to hit a platform while falling.
When you land, hold in L and press down (to aim downward). In the next room,
jump from one block to the next. Jump again and shoot the enemy (while high in
the air). If you aimed correctly, only 2 or 3 shots are needed.

After the enemy's death, head back to the computer. In the next room, run under
the first platform and wall jump off the right side, then on the ledge. Here is
another tricky part. Wall jump off the thin ledge, then wall jump about halfway
up the right wall (this is hard to determine). If you did it correctly, you can
wall jump on the nearst platform and land right beside the door. If not, you
will hit the ceiling. (Practice) Run right, until you get to the next verticle
shaft.

When you enter this room grab the second platform. Jump on the third one. Then
grab the fifth one. Go to navigation. In the next room, just do 3 short hops
up to the door. Go up the elevator. Go left and hop on the ledge on the left.
Do a short hop onto the little ledge. Then jump on the next ledge. Download the
missiles and talk to nav. Hop the platforms, shoot a missile while running on
the second one. Go through the dark section.

Fire 3 quick missiles at the enemy. Fall through the crumble blocks, and spin
by pressing A. Wall jump off the right wall, onto the pillar thing. Jump down
and shoot the wall. Fall down then through the next two sets of crumble blocks.
Jump onto the ladder as high as you can. Fall down, and down again. After
falling through the long chamber, grab the missile exp. on the right. Run to
the left room. Shoot diagonally, and jump to the missile. Go right, until you
reach the lighted area.

Here is where you make a choice. Do I save now and prevent myself from that
torture, or do I continue and risk screwing up badly. Its your call but I
usually keep going.

The boss door... I hate these. They waste time. If you didn't save, I'd say
three shots should start wasting your time. (see 3rd paragraph under "Playing
the Game")

When you enter the room, wall jump off the right, then the left wall, onto the
high floor. Fall off and spin to the left. THIS IS IMPORTANT. MAKE SURE YOUR
FEET ARE NOT BESIDE THE NOTCH BEFORE YOU TRY TO WALL JUMP. If they are, you
can't jump. Fall below the notch and then jump. Grab the Energy Tank. Then go
right a little bit.

____                 Shoot at point X with two missiles. Then jump up. Wall

When Arachnus materializes, unload missiles as fast as you can. Stay close to
him so you won't have to wait for the to missiles to hit before you fire
again. If you are lucky, he won't roll. You will kill him with 15 missiles.

Grab the X, then morph while moving left in the air. Make one leap to the top
of the rubble. (you will grab the edge) Then go to the hole. When you can,
unmorph. When you enter the next room, spin jump to the right wall when you
fall. Wall jump off it, onto the tall pillar. Stay morphed and fall under the
next one. Wall jump off the right wall and shoot 2 blasts before you grab the
hole. If timed right, you will destroy the 2 blocks. The rest is pretty simple.
Work you way to Navigation. Do the same thing in the next room as you did
before except morph and grab the missile expansion on the right tunnel.

In this next room, jump over the hole and morph in the air. Try to land on the
ledge and not the lower platform. Keep going left and then down the elevator.
Watch the cutscene, then go left to Sector 1. Talk to Nav. then go save.

Part 2
------

Sector 1 - Sector 2

After passing the recharge room, jump as high as you can off the ledge. You
should land on the bottom floor. Go through the door. Don't worry about the
floating things, they don't hurt much. Shoot if you want. Fire 3 quick missiles
at the big X thing.

In the 1st stabilizer room, grab the little gray thing. Then jump on the high
ground. Run and fall down going left. Jump towards the little platform. Shoot 3
quick missiles before the stabilizer gets out of range. Grab any floating X you
want because you have to wait until the door unlocks. When it does, run out.

In this room, jump and land between the 4 enemies in the little gap. Shoot a
missile while falling to hit the one on the ledge. Don't grab the energy tank
yet. In the next room, jump on the right platform, then go in the next room. As
soon as you enter the room, fire 2 shots diagonally-downward, then 2 more
straight across. (Keep moving) Kill the next two enemies by firing missiles.
Jump on the ledge above you and run left, killing the enemy when you get near.
Shoot up twice, then wall jump off the left side of the hole you made. Jump
over the crumble blocks aim diagonal to kill the enemy before you land. Destroy
the X-stabilizer, the fall down the right side. Move left and out the room.

At the end of the ledge in this room, do a big jump. You should jump and miss
the platforms and land next to the door. In the next room, hold L the whole
time and aim down. When you are about to hit the enemy, fire a missile. Repeat
for the next to, the exit the room.

In this room, fall down the right side. This is a little tricky. Fire a missile
downward, then do the slow fall trick (trick G) Repeat as many times as you
need to kill the space pirates. Exit the room on the right.

In the next room, try to stay out of the water as much as possible.

This next room has the 3rd stabilizer. Jump on the plaform and fall off the
right side. Make sure you grab the right side of the platform. Jump backwards
off of it and you should land on the pillar. Fall to the second platform, then
jump on the ladder. Shoot 3 missiles and head for the door.

In the next room, aim down and shoot a missile when you get close to the enemy.
The room afterward has nothing special.

In the next stabilizer room, wall jump off the right, then the left, than land
on the pillar. Jump onto the ceiling ladder, and shoot the X-thing when it is
at the right height. (Try to determine this without it being on the screen.
This may be hard because it moves at random when you enter the room.) After
destroying it, move left and jump on the pillar. Jump to the door on your left
and go in. Jump over the water and shoot a missile at the enemy. Grab the
power-up and leave. Fall down the pit and exit the room on your right.

This next room may take a little practice. Shoot a missile diagonally at the
space pirate. When you reach the right wall, wall jump off it, then the lower
platform, then the wall again, then land on the next platform. Kill the space
pirate on your right. Wall jump off the right wall then land on the small
platform. If there is a space pirate on your right, shoot it quick. Then wall
jump off the right wall again, and land on the next little platform. Jump to
the door and exit. In the next room, be sure to aim diagonally and hit the
button to open the door.

Aaahhh!! A room with nothing but ladders and water. How annoying. Jump on the
ceiling and fire two missile at the two enemies there. When you get near the
platform, jump off the ceiling. Run to the end of the platform and jump back
on. When you get next to the wall, shoot 3 quick shots. Then hit the enemy on
the wall with a missile. Walk (Climb, grab, I don't know.) to the end of the
ceiling and jump off. Grab the edge of the whole. Crawl through and leave the
room.

Fall through the crumble blocks and morph right before you land crawl through
and make another decision. Save or don't. I never save at this point, but if
you feel that you did great and don't want to do it over, go left here. Beware,
it's two rooms away. Wall jump off the right wall and grab the left ledge.
Boss door again. I'd say about 5 shots would start wasting time. Kill it and
enter the boss room.

Arm yourself with a missile and aim downward with L. Right before you hit the
ramp next to the chozo statue, fire a missile, it should hit the power-up
thing and reveal the core-X. When it reveals itself, jump on the lowest
platform and stand on the right side. Hold R and Down. When the core-X comes
up, you will notice that it will get stuck. When it opens its eye, jump and
shoot. Move left a little bit on the first shot or the beam will hit you. Move
back into position and repeat two more times. Wait about halfway until it
reveals its eye again, and lure it to its ending point. Shoot the X and
immediately grab it. Jump and grab the right side of the lowest platform. Jump
backwards as high as you can to grab a high platform. Climb up an exit the
door.

Jump onto the ledge and shoot out the blocks, jump up and go through the door.
(We will get the missile later)

The final stabilizer room. Kill the two enemies while going right. After they
are dead, charge your beam. Go downward and jump into the stabilizer. You
should get knocked back. Jump again and when you stop flashing, your screw
attack should hit it. Do this one more time to kill it. Exit on your right.
Charge your beam before exiting though, as it is easier to hit the button. Just
charge, aim up, and when you enter the door, let go of B. As soon as you enter
this room, you will fire and open the door. Exit this room on the right too.

In this room, wall jump off the left wall, and land on the platform at the top.
Go to the room on the right. When you enter, shoot out the block on the right
wall. Jump and morph, then land in the tunnel. Start wall jumping with the
left wall. You will land on the ledge at the top. Grab the missile and go back.
Don't use this save here, it is pointless, unless you don't care about a super
fast speed run. Keep going left. Fall on the platform and jump up to the door.

In this shaft, jump on the first platform, then the second one. Wall jump off
the right wall and land on the fourth one. Wall jump off the fifth one and land
next to the door. Exit left.

Back at the room with the energy tank. Fire downward kill the 3 ground enemies.
When you land on the lower ground, duck and turn around. Fire 2 missiles to
kill the enemy, the 1 beam to break the block. Morph and grab the energy tank.
Exit left.

Climb mostly up the ramp and jump onto the ledge on your right. Then jump on
the left ledge. Run left an fall down to the door. In the next room, just fire
like mad and exit. In the main room, run left until you get to the left
platforms. Jump onto it while firing at the newly forming enemy. Jump onto the
next platform the to the door. Run all the way to Nav. Speak. Go up the
elevator then go right, to Sector 2. Talk to Nav. Save.

Part 3
------

Sector 2 - Boss

Go right, until you get to the large room, charge you beam while going along
the passage. Fire you beam at the third enemy to kill it. Shoot out the two
blocks and start charging again. Fall down and kill the enemy to your right.

In the next room, fire your beam downward next to the enemy. When you get close
to the next one, fire two quick missiles. (This is hard to time at first, but
just practice.) In the next room, if the enemy on the wall is crawling down,
you can shoot it with a diagonal beam. If not, you will have to kill it DURING
your wall jumping with the shooting trick 1. (Sesshoumaru) This is very hard to
do though. (Don't you just hate randomness?) When you get on the ledge, wall
jump on the ledge jutting under the blue door. Then the wall. Then the platform
(kill the enemy with the trick if you need to). Wall jump off the wall again.
Then land on the next ledge. Kill the enemy and enter the security room.

Unlock the doors then go back. When you enter the room with the 2 worms, just
do the same thing as last time. Now back to the big room.

Refer back to the diagram if you need to. Fall off the ledge. Fall in between
the ledge and platform on the left (F). Just keep falling until you land on the
bottom platform (A). Jump down and kill the enemy. Go left, through the door.
Keep going through this room, killing the single enemy on the floor.

In this fairly large room, wall jump off the side of the ledge that is sticking
above you, and grab the high ground on the left. Go to the download and take
it. When you go back to the room, charge your beam an spin into the flying
enemy. When you get to the end of this high ground, jump onto the small notch
sticking out of the wall. Use the morph ball bomb to break the off-colored
blocks. (there are 3) Grab the missile. Go out and unmorph when you fall. Kill
the enemy on the ground and set a bomb at the very left corner. Morph when you
fall down the hole. Go out of the tunnel and unmorph. Kill these enemies with
missiles. 1 for the flying ones and 2 for the worm. Exit the door on the left.

Jump onto the ledge. Wall jump off the right ledge/pillar and shoot out the
blocks on the left wall (5th block down from the ceiling) Go in the room and
raise the pillar. (3 blocks left of the block on the ground) Kill the enemy
that flies down. Wall jump of the top of the pillar to land on the ledge. Grab
the missile tank and get out. Fall past the little ledge and go through the
tunnel. Navigate your way through the tunnel.

Here is a tricky part. If you can do it, great! If not, it's no big deal. When
you fall down the hole, move left a tad, so you fall down the left side of the
block in midair. When your about the reach it, unmorph and spin towards it.
Then wall jump off it, towards the blocks on the floor that you need to
destroy. But, only do this if the worms are directly under you. If they are
not, then you don't need to do this.

Break the block on the left. Fall down and set another bomb, and charge your
beam. When you fall, duck, shoot, launch 2 missiles, morph, move right, and
set a bomb. Unmorph and charge. Face left. When you land morph (killing the
enemy) and run off the edge. Unmorph and grab the next edge. Climb up and go
set a bomb. Fall, another bomb. Door. Fall. Another door. Next room...

Run to the pit and quickly set a bomb. Unmorph a hit the flying enemy with a
missile. Fall down and move left. Fall down again and down the crumble blocks.
Go right and set a bomb at the corner. When the tunnel appears, move right
while setting bombs. When you fall, kill the enemy if it is in your way, then
grab the missle. Jump up through the hole, the bomb the little block that is
on the higher ground. Go through the door.

In this room, Climb up the stairs and through the tunnel. When you exit,
unmorph and spin to the left. Wall jump off the wall. Set a bomb near the right
side of the pit. Stand on the pillar an jump of when it rises a little, onto
the next tunnel. Do the same thing here. Don't land on the red things. Exit the
room.

In this room, jump on the very left side of the platform. (Charge beam needed)
Jump to the left wall and jump off, through that little space next to the
higher platform. When you rise above it a little ways, shoot your beam. Grab
the ledge and climb up. Climb onto the ledge above you. Wall jump off the
little wall on your left and land in the notch on your right. Jump on the
pillar and fall down. Go through the door.

This room is easy. When you get close to the jumping enemy, shoot a charge beam
at it. If it is in the air, aim up. If you hit it in the air, you won't have to
worry about the little spikes it launches. If you kill it on the ground, this
will be one of those extrememly rare cases where you stop moving. Stop in the
middle of the former enemy for just a split second. This allows the spikes to
fly without you having to get hit by them. Exit right.

Jump over the little notch in the floor and go through the door. Here is
another dilemma. I have a tendency to save here in order to get good boss doors
and fast boss kill (I'll explain later). But, I also save right after the boss
because it's hard to get a good boss kill with this one. 2 saves close together
might not be a good idea but it is safe.

Part 4
------

Boss

This is a very short part due to my degree of patience I have with 20 tries
for a good boss kill and 20 tries for a good SA-X run. Then about 10 tries for
a perfect run back to Nav. That's about 4000 resets. So I break this in half.

Run right, after saving. In the next room just enter the pit and exit it. The
next room has an energy tank. Shoot out the blocks on the right before jumping
to get it.Start charging your beam for the boss door when you go down. Try for
a perfect boss door here. Kill it at close range with a charge shot. Enter the
boss room.

This is one of the worst bosses for a speed run. This is the only boss that you
don't get to decide when to kill it. It decides for you. You can only shoot
when it opens its "mouth." Every time it jumps without opening its mouth, I
call it a wasted jump. (term by Sesshoumaru) I feel that less than 5 wasted
jumps is good, but when you beat it, don't save afterward. If you can get 3 or
less, then you are very lucky and should save because it won't likely happen
again soon.

Well, on to fighting him. For his first 3 segments, all it takes is one charged
shot to destroy them. Only if both sides of the beam hit his eye. The last
segment is a little harder. It's good because he ALWAYS opens his mouth. But,
it takes a charged shot and two missles to kill this segment. After that,
finish the boss off with the normal objective of luring it to the finishing
point. Grab the X and leave the room.

After you exit, run all the way left, shooting out the blocks on the ceiling
on your way (around point B).

Part 5
------

Sector 2 - Sector 4

Go left, out of the save room. Jump onto the little notch. Don't worry about
the worm things for awhile, they can't hurt you anymore. Charge your beam and
exit left. In the next room, fire your beam in much the same way as you did
before. Look back near the end of part 3 if you forgot. Jump over the rubble
and set a bomb on the wierd floor next to the busted door. Fall down the
crumble block.

This is the other reason that I chose to break part 4 short. This room is hard.
Run all the way right, shooting out the floor. Fall down to get SA-X's
attention.

You can do one of two things here. It just depends on your style, and I don't
think one is slower than the other.

1) Jump back onto the ledge and morph. (SA-X should be running right) Fall back
down, ahead of SA-X, and unmorph in midair. Run left as fast as you can. When
SA-X shoots, you have to jump over the beams. This has to be timed perfectly.
Jumping to early will cause you to land on the beam and too late will cause it
to hit you in the air. You can give yourself a little leeway if you tap right
in the air. This will slow you down, allowing more time for the beam to pass
you. This would cause more beam jumping because SA-X will catch up to you.

2) Jump to the will almost to the peak of your jump. Move back to the left and
grab the ledge. Let go and move left, almost immedietly. One of 3 things will
happen.
 1) SA-X will hit you with a diagonal beam, then shoot you with a missile. You
 will be able to run to the door with being shot again.
 2) SA-X will hit you with a diagonal beam, then shoot a missile at you. You
 will be very close to SA-X and its arm will be through you. This way, the
 missile will not hit you.
 3) A glitch that I found will take place. The diagonal beam will pass
 straight through you without freezing you. Then you will have to jump over
 only 1 beam.
This may be harder or easier to do depending on whose playing. Morphing and
unmorphing quickly requires fast fingers, but the ledge grab method is a little
random when getting the glitch to work. Remember, its your choice.

-(Morph method and jumping over beams by Sesshoumaru)-

This verticle shaft is very big, so I won't go into too much detail. When you
exit the previous room, jump onto the bug on the platform. Jump on the ledge
above you. Wall jump off the left wall, onto the notch. Wall jump off the right
pillar onto the ledge. Jump into the bug to appear on top of it. Jump onto the
platform. Work your way up the shaft into the tunnel. Bomb the block. Then the
next one. Exit through the door. Walk right through this room into the next
one.

Wall jump of the small ledge that juts out from the left wall. Grab the right
one. Crawl in and bomb the tunnel. Grab the missile. Jump onto the left wall
and bomb that. Fall out and move through the top tunnel.

When you enter the big room, bomb the block here. Run out and unmorph. Jump
onto the bug with the glitch and go left. Jump and shoot up to destroy the
blocks above you. Find your way back to Nav. Talk and go up the elevator. Go
right, to Sector 4. Talk to Nav. and save.

Part 6
------

Sector 4 - Boss

Go left in this sector. (Why is this one different?) After exiting the recharge
room, jump on the first platform. Fall on the second one. Then jump on the
ledge. Fall down to the door. Keep running through the next small room.
Here is the big room.

Have your beam charged. Jump and wall jump off the left wall at A. Then wall
jump off the right wall at B. You should destroy the enemy near B with your
spin. Morph in midair at C and quickly set a bomb. Start charging again. Jump
onto the pillar and fall to D. Run left and jump right at the edge of the
water, near E. Land on F. Jump to platform G. Jump really high towards H. Kill
the enemy on that platform with a diagonal beam before landing. Jump to the
door and exit while charging.

Shoot the enemy on the ceiling IMMEDIATELY after entering with a diagonal shot.
Shoot the one on the ground with a missile. Jump and shoot the enemy on the
platform that sticks out of the pool on the left. Land on the pillar that juts
out of the right pool. Jump up to the ledge and go into the underwater door.

Inside here, run to the ladder and jump on it. When you rise out of the water,
jump onto the ground. Run right. When you reach the first pool, jump into the
middle of it, then jump out. Do the same with the second one, but kill the
enemy in it first. Kill the one on the left wall in the corrider. Start
charging. Wall jump off the left wall, then the right, (spin will kill the
enemy on the ceiling) grab the tunnel, and go through the door. Grab the energy
tank and exit the way you came. Go back with the same strategy as you came in.
Back in the room with the two big pools. Kill the fish before attempting to
jump out. It's most likely in your way. Go in the door on the bottom left.

When you enter this room, killing the enemy is not important. Morph and jump up
to the highest ceiling while moving left. When you hit the ceiling, set a bomb.
Keep falling left, into the water and on the platform. Unmorph and run to the
left edge. Jump to the left and use and extended jump to land on the platform
on the far left. Jump onto the ledge above you. Shoot the enemy on the ceiling
with a diagonal missile. Jump onto the higher ground and jump up the hole. Jump
high onto the ladder and climb to go inside an invisible tunnel. Fall into the
water, and shoot any enemies in your way with a missile. Morph back and grab
the missile. Go back and exit through the tunnel. Fall to the ground and then
down the hole. (Stay morphed) Set a bomb against the left wall, then another
farther in. Exit through the far left door with a charge beam.

Shoot up when you enter this room. Charge again. Wall jump off the left pillar,
then the right wall, and land on top of the pillar. (spin will kill) Fall off
the left side of the pillar and spin right. Wall jump off of it and land on
the left ledge. Shoot up to break the blocks. Jump up and duck when on the
ledge. Shoot the blocks on your right. Morph and go under the pillar. Charge
again. Wall jump off the left, then right, then land on the pillar. (de ja vu)
Jump and kill the spiny enemy if it is on the ceiling. Sometimes he's on a
previous wall, out of the way. Climb the ceiling ladder, and shoot out the
inconspicuous block on the left ledge. Fall down and shoot only 1 shot up. This
will break both blocks. Wall jump high off the left wall and land on the upper
floor. Go through the door and jump on the save pad. Shoot out the busted block
when you go down a bit. Save.

Part 7
------

Boss - End of Sector 4

Jump and morph in midair to enter the tunnel. Inside, you'll have to bomb the
rubble. Exit through the door. This room contains the dead Serris. Jump onto
the pillar and into the water. Run to the other end and jump out. Exit through
the door.

In the next room, jump onto the metal frame above you. Then jump on the ledge
to your upper-left. Wall jump off the right wall, then the left, then grab
the top of the ladder. Climb up and charge your beam while falling down.
Destroy the boss door and enter Serris's lair.

Jump onto the ledge above you. Then onto the large platform. Run right, until
the platform breaks. (you should run over 2 busted sections before this
happens) You should end up on the 3rd one.

When Serris weaves past you aim up and right and stand on the right side of the
platform. When Serris's head comes into view, shoot it at point blank range.
If you connect with both sides of the beam and the flare, (look for the slash)
he is halfway dead. Jump onto the ceiling and stay their until he's done
sparking. (Jump down if he weaves though because he will skim the ceiling right
after that) Since Serris is sort of random, just look for another opportunity
to fire your second shot. After he is dead, kill the core like always and exit
the room on your right.

In this room, jump onto the high ground and run until you spark. Charge your
boost and fall down. Right before you land, press A and spark left. (To be
safer, walk under the ledge and do the narrow corrider trick). Run back to the
right to bust the blocks on the ground. Fall through.

Morph and bomb the blocks on the left. Go through the tunnel and set a bomb
on the very left side. Unmorph. As the bomb explodes, jump and destroy the two
missile block on the left wall. (3 blocks from the ceiling) When you land, duck
and shoot. Morph and grab the missile. Go out of the small tunnel and jump up
to the next one. Go left until you fall, the hold right. After landing, fall
off that ledge. Go right and jump over the hole. Jump and shoot out 3 large
blocks high on the right wall. Grab the missile there. Go back and fall in the
hole with a charge beam. Keep spinning the kill any enemy in the way. After
falling past the crumble blocks, go left and jump in the next hole.

Jump to the first visible enemy on your left with a charge beam. Do it again
for the next one. Jump to the door and exit. Kill the enemy on the ground and
jump to the pillar. Kill the enemy on the pillar to your left. Fall down and
exit through that door. In this room, do the same exact thing as you did the
last time, except for the jump through the ceiling part and the wall bomb part.
(The wall will stay busted) Exit left.

Just run left when you enter this and the next room. Duck when you reach the
control panel to come to do a fast stop. When the water is lowering, jump in
and grab onto the lower-mid section of the ladder. Jump onto the notch next to
the missile. Grab it and jump out of the notch. Fall down the tube and unmorph.
Jump onto the two platforms and shoot out the floor. Jump up and run right.
Keep running throught the next room.

Right before you reach the short wall with the small tunnel, charge your spark.
Quickly morph, go through and unmorph. Fall down to the bottom floor. Right
before you land, press A then hold right. You should spark to the right and go
under the platforms next to the floor. You'll bust the speed blocks a few
times. When you reach the ramp a few rooms ahead, recollect your speed and
immediately charge your spark. Run back to the left and jump up to the tunnel
in the next room. Crawl through and unmorph. You should be able to spark left
in just enough time before the charge ends. If you spark low enough, you will
grab the tank on your way. If not, just get it. Jump out of the pool and go
left, until you reach the reformed speed blocks. Run right, all the way past
the blocks and up the ramp. When you break the next blocks, open the door and
go into the next room.

Here, you come across the first golden enemy. Remember, If you have no missions
and there is a locked door, gold enemies are the key. First you need to kill
the one just sitting there, then kill the gold one when the X moves up. Exit
right.

Wall jump off the left wall. (You need to jump past the overhang though) Land
on the high ledge. Fall off the right side and spin left. Wall jump and land
on the second platform. Jump onto the ledge next to the door. DON'T go to Nav.
unless you wan't a few seconds of backtracking later. Go to the save point and
save.

Part 8
------

End of Sector 4 - End of Sector 3

Go right and talk to Nav. Go up the elevator, then go left, until you get to
the Sector 1 elevator. Here is a little trick that you should try to do from
now on. Shoot open the door. When you are about 1 step away from the door, jump
and hold A. When you are going through the door, release A. When you appear in
the next room, you should fall down and land right on the elevator, allowing
you to hit down, immediately. Do this trick as many times as possible. Go down.
Talk to Nav. and go right, building up your speed booster. (If you saved here
you will have to walk back until you are in the doorway behind the metal if you
want to get enough speed for the next part)

When you enter the large room, just keep holding right. You will bust through
the first wall and then another wall just ahead.

Here is a neat trick. When you bust through the second wall, you can hit down
right when you land to charge your speed boost. There are 3 layers of blocks to
destroy, so hit down, immediately when the 3rd one breaks. This is very hard to
time and will take some practice.
-(discovered by Corollax)-

[If you fail to charge the spark before the shaft, but feel like proceeding,
you can do this trick by Sesshoumaru. Run left after falling, and shoot out all
the blocks in your path. Before you hit the speed block wall, charge your
spark. Somersault to the ceiling, then unleash your spark to the left here. Its
not as fast but its better than nothing.]

After charging the spark, fall down the uncovered shaft on your right. Before
landing, spark left. You will bust through several blocks in this room and a
few walls in the next. After you hit the wall, go back to the right and shoot
out the floor. Fall in and shoot the ceiling (2nd block from the right wall) to
get the missile. Jump back out and go left, to the destroyed wall. Shoot out
the blocks their and go into the security room. Unlock the doors and go right.

When you gain full speed, charge your spark. Somersault about three blocks
high. Shoot to break the spin and hit A to spark right. You will backtrack
yourself all the way to the door in the next room. Go through it.

Jump on the ledge above you, then jump on the next ledge. Don't land on it. I
find it easier to morph in midair. Morph and crawl under the wall monster.
Unmorph when you fall and shoot the button.

Here's another tough trick. Move left until Samus is on the 2nd shape (looks
like the side view of a Octagon or a Hexagon. Has 3 different shades of color
on it.) on the floor from the door. (If this doesn't help, then do an few
practice runs to determine the place yourself) Run to the right. Press down
immediately after gaining speed. You should have busted the first speed block
on the floor but still be standing on the block before it. This is very hard to
do. Jump down the hole and go through the door on the right. When you enter the
next room, go to the edge of the ledge and spark up. Fall to the left door and
exit.

Run left until you get to the wall, jump a little bit and morph while in the
air. Set a bomb while fallin. Jump into the higher tunnel and grab the missile.
Set a bomb right before you grab it to destroy the block above you. Jump up
into the 3rd tunnel and go right. Set a bomb right before you exit the tube to
quickly destrou the 2x2 block above you. Jump up and go right. Bomb the next
2x2 block. Jump out of the tunnel and charge your beam while exiting.

When you land in the pit, fire your beam to kill the first enemy on the ground.
Keep running to build speed. Fire missiles as fast as you can to kill the next
two enemies. When you build speed, charge your spark and jump out of the pit.
Spark to the right. Shoot open the door when you stop flying and download your
new missile. Remeber what I said in the tips about the missiles. They don't
fire as fast as they used to.

Run left out of the room, and shoot out the door on the left again. Charge you
boost and spark left. When you hit the wall, go back to the right and fall into
the new hole. Go to your right through a couple of rooms (you may save here if
you want) until you get to the 3rd one. As you enter, shoot a missile to the
floor to kill the enemy their and fire 3 at the barrier X. Grab the missle and
go back. Wall jump out of the pit and go right. Now for BOX.

This is a little tough to explain. Run right, until you see BOX jump out at
you. Run back and jump on the ceiling and aim left and down. When he is in the
right spot, fire a missile into his weak spot. (The yellow cylinder) Move left
a little and wait for him to jump to you. Aim down and you can barely squeeze 4
missiles into him. Move left so he won't hit you with the ball, then move right
a little after it passes. If you are very fast, you can fire 5 missiles
diagonally to kill it. Just run to the right and wait for him to escape. Jump
over the flames when they come by. It is very hard to kill this boss this fast
so you may need to practice a bit.

When the rock falls, jump on it. Wall jump off the little ledge on the right
the the one that hangs from the ceiling on the left, the the right side of the
hole in the ceiling. When you land on the floor in the next room, run left and
kill the first ground enemy just by firing a missile. You should be able to
kill the next one with your speed. After you exit this room, charge you spark
as soon as you enter the next one. Fall down the pit and spark into the bomb
block (by Sesshoumaru). Grab the tunnel and crawl through. Unmorph and kill the
enemies with missiles while going left. Morph and bomb the blocks in the tunnel
on the far left. Go in the tunnel and you will appear in the big room.

When you fall down, kill the flying enemy and jump onto the ledge. Shoot out
the bottom row of blocks in your path and charge your beam. Jump onto the ledge
above you while spinning to kill the enemy. Jump onto the next one then go to
the save point. Save here. (unless you want to backtrack later)

Part 9
------

End of Sector 3 - Sector 5

Talk to Nav. Go left and up the elevator. Go right and go down to Sector 6.
Talk to Nav. again. Go right and gain speed. After you exit the recharge room,
charge your boost. Somersault off the ledge. Shoot the break your spin and
spark to the right, right before hitting the floor. As soon as you hit the
ramp, you need to shoot the door open to keep your speed. In the next room,
charge your boost at the end of the ledge. Fall down this ledge, then the next.
As your falling to the floor, spark right. If you timed it perfectly, you will
go under the ceiling and across the higher floor. This has to be perfect though
becaus, too late will cause you the hit the little wall, and too early will
cause you to hit the ceiling (which is worse because you have killed the
barrier X with the spark).

Set a bomb on the far right wall (3 blocks up). Morph and go in the tunnel.
If you hold in right, make sure you don't hold in A. (which would normally
cause you to jump in morph mode, but here it won't. Press A after you see
yourself. Set a bomb high on the right wall, then fall back on the ledge. Jump
back up the the tunnel that appears and set a bomb at the end. Fall down and
get the energy tank. Go back through the 2 tunnels. Go up past the ledges and
through the door.

In this room, just run right and go through the next door. In the next room,
fall off the ledge and go left. Fall off that one and go right. Fall off the
next one and go right again. Go left AFTER passing the next ledge. Fall off
this one and go through the door on your right.

This room is big with a big shortcut too. Run right and shoot out the second
block with a diagonal beam. Don't hit the bottom one because a blue X is in it.
Fall down and shoot the skinny wall when you pass it. Hold in left to grab it
and climb through. Jump over the pit and shoot the X if you need to. Fall down
and go through the door.

In this room, run left and charge your boost right after busting the speed
blocks. Fall down and spark left, right before you land. Shoot open the door
and go in. Try to jump over the energy tank with your speed intact. Morph in
midair and set a bomb on the left side of the energy tank. Then grab it. Fall
in the hole and go right. Fall again, unmorph and go through the door.

Go to the far right and set a bomb. Fall through and go left, until SA-X opens
the door. Look at the ceiling of the tunnel and you will notice a crack after
every 2 blocks. I will just call them sections. Go under the 2nd block of the
6th section. After the power bomb's explosion recedes, unmorph and grab SA-X's
attenion. Run left a little to prevent it from shooting a diagonal beam at you.
When it jumps into the pit, run under it and jump onto the ledge. Jump over
the hole that you made with the bomb and fall into the crumble block hole. Go
left. Run left and shoot out the blocks in front of you. Jump a little to grab
the tunnel. Crawl through and unmorph to keep from falling in the pit. Exit.
SA-X will have no chance to shoot at you.

In this room, you can use the save point to your left if you want. I usually
don't because the boss is easy. Shoot out the 2x2 block on the floor and fall
in. Shoot downward several times. Duck and shoot left. Morph and go through the
invisible tunnel. Jump to the tunnel near the ceiling and set a couple of bombs
to get the missile. When you exit, unmorph and shoot out the blocks to make a
path to the door. Don't worry about the X, they won't hurt you much. Charge
your beam before exiting.

There is a small trick for this room. If you shoot diagonally, you can kill 2
enemies close to the ground with your flare, and 2 more in the air with your
beam. This will leave a path to jump on the pillar. Fall down and use a missile
to kill the boss door. I'd guess about 3 shots will start losing you time. Let
the core X download the data and stay next to the door. When the door unlocks
go into the boss room.

This boss can be killed rather quickly. Jump to the right of the second
platform to call the boss out. Jump back to the 1st one. Jump (do NOT
somersault) and try to get hit by the boss. When you are touching it, shoot
a charge shot. Remember that the flare does major damage. This boss doesn't
really follow a set path so its kind of hard to make a strategy. You can hit it
the first time real simple. If you hit the top of it, you will knock it down.
If that happens, you can kill it very quickly with just 3 more shots. It will
be very easy to keep it from flying away when it is down there. Kill the core
X just like every other one. Grab the suit and exit right.

Pass this room up and go to the next one. Climb up the ladder and watch the X
suicide themselves. When you get near the top, jump and grab the left ledge. Go
into the left room. In here, you need to do a short hop near the missile to
keep from falling down the crumble blocks. After grabbing the missile, hold
left and enter the tunnel. Shoot out the ceiling to reveal a missile. It is in
the fairly smooth part of the ceiling. Grab it and exit. Fall down and go
right. Climb up the ladder again. This time the X fly away from you. As you get
near the top, wall jump off the left ledge and land near the right door. Exit
through there with a charge beam. When you clear the overpass, shoot the beam
up and start charging again. Wall jump off the ladder and if you're lucky, you
will destroy the puffer. Exit on the left with a charge beam.

Spin into the enemy if it's goin left. Grab the tunnel and go through. When you
fall unmorph and grab the next tunnel.

Here is a difficult trick by Sesshoumaru. As you are exiting this tunnel, jump
straight up (that's the hard part). Unmorph and spin to the right wall. Wall
jump off it, then the left wall, then the right, then shoot out the block.
Climb up and exit left. This next room will require constant charging.

Run left and wall jump of the very top of the stack of blocks. You should land
on the ledge killing the enemy also. Jump onto the next two ledges. Puffers are
your biggest fear in this room. Avoid them or kill them if possible. Wall jump
off the ladder and grab the ledge. Climb up and jump on the next ledge. Exit
left with a charge beam.

Run along the floor and kill the worm with a diagonal shot. The next room is
also bad. Charge shot kill the worms easy, but puffers are harder. Avoid them
if possible. Fall down the 2 ledges, onto the high floor. Then fall on the
lower floor. Now its time to grab the power up you skipped. Set a bomb on the
left wall (3rd block up) and go inside. Grab the missile and leave. Unmorph and
wall jump off the left wall onto the ledge. Jump onto the next ledge. Exit left
with a charge beam.

When you enter this room, shoot your beam and fire as fast as you can to kill
the enemies flying around. Jump onto the left ledge and head to Nav. Talk. When
your done, spark left and jump when you hit the ramp. Land on the elevator (you
will use this trick often). Go up the elevator. Head to Sector 5, talk to Nav.
and save.

After loading the save, run right. Charge your beam on the way.

After exiting the tunnel, charge your beam and exit right.

Fall in the pit in this room. Aim down while running and kill the first enemy
with a charge beam, then kill the next one with a missile. Run right and wall
jump off the tip of the ledge on the right. Land on the higher left ledge.
Charge your beam before jumping up to the ladder. Climb up and jump to grab the
edge of the upper floor. As you climb up the ledge, release your beam. If you
time it right, both sides of the beam will hit the enemy and kill it. This
leaves you enough time to charge and kill the next one. If you miss, use
missiles. Fall down the right pit and move left some. Don't land on the ledge
far below you. You want to skim the left side of it, then spin right. Shoot to
break the spin and open the door at the same time. Then land on the ledge next
to the door. Charge your beam and enter the next room.

This room has a lot of enemies so it is sort of difficult. Run right, and jump
on the little ledge. You may have to fire your beam and an enemy. If so, arm
yourself with missiles after shooting. Fall down the right pit and move left.
There may be an enemy here so shoot it with a missile. When you fall down the
next pit, shoot out the right side of the floor. Fall in and exit through the
door on your left.

Here is a little trick by Sesshoumaru. Run left and jump over the bullet that
the enemy on the bullet shoots. This is somewhat difficult to time. After that,
run left until you reach the verticle pipe in the background. Run back to the
right, through the door. Another one of Sesshoumaru's tricks. Run all the way
to the speed blocks and duck as soon as the first one breaks to charge the
boost. Fall in a little and spark left. Fall down and go right (Look out for
the enemy). Enter the small tunnel and bomb your way through. An enemy may need
to be killed here. Exit right.

Morph and set a bomb on the wall. Jump to grab the flying monsters' attentions.
They will crash into the wall real high, but some may have seen you while on
the ground. If so, shoot them with missiles when the wall breaks. Exit right.

In this room, fall off the ledge, but stay near it. Shoot out the floor under
you. Spin left and shoot your beam to open the door and land on the ledge.
Just keep moving left and you'll eventually reach the security room. (In the
room with the dormant pillars, use the glitch to appear on top of them for
speed).

The room after the security room. Run and wall jump off the left wall onto the
large platform. Destroy the enemy sitting there. Jump onto the next platform.
Charge your beam on the way, jump into the enemy on the wall and wall jump off
it, onto the next platform. Run right and shoot up the right side of the next
platform. This will break some blocks. Wall jump off right side of that
platform, then off the blocks sticking out of the wall (Make sure you don't
destroy these with the beam you shoot earlier). After landing on the platform,
Run left and shoot out the ceiling. (Make sure you at least destroy the 2x2
block on the right) Jump onto the floor and start running right.

When entering the save room, shoot open the next door and hold L. Charge your
beam. When you exit (screen goes black) release B. When you appear in the next
room, you will open the wall and start boosting through here. Open the door so
not to hit. When you enter the big room, jump up, through the hole in the
ceiling that you made. Climb up and go right, into the door on the far right.
Open the wall when you enter this room. Next room is the download. Exit right.

When you enter the ice room, shoot out the floor and fall right, just so you
won't land on the ledge. When you are about even with the door, wall jump off
the right wall and use the extended jumping trick. Go through the door. You
can't grab the energy tank here becuase it is a bat. Kill it with a missile
when you get close. (It is invincible when it hasn't transformed) Jump onto the
ledge and set a bomb near the wall. Crawl in and set another bomb. Grab the
energy tank. If you're fast enough, you can get out before the bomb block
reforms. Exit right.

Back in the ice room. Fall to the right, and don't grab the ladder. Morph right
before you land. Jump into the invisible tunnel that is in the notch on the
right.

This is a bad room, because you have to wait. Shoot out the ceiling on the far
right and jump up. Kill the ground enemy. DON'T grab the X. Let it form a
jumping monster. Freeze it when it jumps and jump on it. Then jump on the ledge
on the left. Kill the enemy on the ceiling. Let it form into a flying monster.
This is what I hate. Sometimes it forms right next to the wall, wasting
valuable time. Freeze it when it is near the middle-right of the room. Beware,
if its too far away, you can't jump on it. You may be able to wall jump of the
side of the ledge you're standing on though if it is. Jump on the enemy and
shoot out the middle of the notch in the ceiling. Jump and grab the missile,
then fall down the right side. Exit through the tunnel. Exit throught the door
on the left next.

Shoot out the ceiling of this room. DON'T grab the X. Let it possess the
pillar. Freeze the pillar then jump up to the next floor. Exit left with a
charge beam. Jump onto the platform, then jump over the hole. Kill the monster
on the ceiling and run back to the pit, but don't go in. Kill the enemy that
reappears. Jump to the 1st platform and go to the right side. Aim down with L
and run left. Shoot a missile at the pillar that rises up. Open the door. Crash
through the thin wall and charge you boost before you hit the next one. Spark
up and exit right.

Jump onto the ledge above you when you enter the room. Jump on the ledge on
your right. Run right and jump onto the ledge that juts out of the floor. Shoot
out the wall and run into the secret passage. Wall jump off the right wall and
shoot out the block in the tunnel. (The middle of the 3x9 near the top) Grab
it and crawl through. Unmorph and run left. Jump up the hold and wall jump off
the left side, onto the higher ground. Jump on the ledge on this ground. Then
jump onto the high ledge on the left. Exit left.

Another neat trick by Sesshoumaru. Jump at the very end of the ledge you appear
on. You can jump around the ledge above you and land on it. Climb up the
ladder on your right. Remember what to do here? This time, it's important
because now your missiles won't kill in one hit. Kill the two enemies and fall
down the left pit. Charge while falling. Don't land on any ledges. Land next to
one of the enemies to lure him up before you start running. Kill the next one
with your beam. Run through the door on your left. The go through the next one.

EMERGENCY!! That'll scare you the first time through. Wall jump off the right
wall, onto the ladder. Climb up a little bit, the wall jump off the next right
wall. Land next to the door. Run to the save point. Save here because you won't
be able after talking to Nav.

Part 11

End of Sector 5 - End of Sector 3

My favorite part of the run. I don't know why. Maybe it's the music. Or maybe
it's because you don't have to worry about a single power-up here, so you can
focus purely on speed.

Anyway, talk to Nav. and go to Sector 3. Gain speed until exiting the recharge
room. Crash through the walls again and exit right. Jump up the ledges, kill
the wall monster, fall through, open the wall move left some, dash right. This
time, you don't need to charge your boost. Break through 2 blocks and move back
so you will land on the crumble blocks. Exit right. Fall down the shaft and hug
the right wall after you pass the wall monster. After falling past the
platform, move to the left wall. Move left at exactly the right moment to pass
the second monster and land on the ledge next to the door on the left. Exit
left with a charge beam.

This room is a little tough. Jump onto the ceiling when your on the very edge
of the ledge. (Charge before jumping) Jump off so you will barely land on the
next ledge. Spin into the enemy and grab the ceiling. (Keep holding B) When you
reach the end of the ladder, jump off and shoot while falling. The enemy stays
near the same height so it's easy to hit. Jump and grab the next ladder.
When you reach the end of this one, Jump off onto the last ledge and exit left.
If you are extremely lucky, the only time you will get hit is by the last lava
spurt. This will sometimes knock you left and onto the last ledge leaving you
less ladder time (which is slow).

When you enter this room, jump up to the left side of the ceiling that the fire
monster is clinging on. Wall jump off the left side of the wall it makes. When
you rise above the upper floor a little, hold in right and let go of A. You
will spin back to the right. When your gun is almost even with the floor, shoot
a shot and grab the ledge. Exit right. This trick is extremely difficult and I
advise a lot of practice.

In this room, you might want to destroy a few of the fire monsters on the
ceiling. Sometimes they'll drop fire on you.

When you enter this room, run to the right and freeze the bottom wall monster.
Jump on it an jump high into the right wall. Wall jump at the peak of your jump
and grab the ledge near the door. Exit with a charge beam. Jump on the first
platform. Shoot your beam diagonally to hit the fire monster on the ceiling.
Jump high off this one, towards the second one. Kill the wall monster with 3
missiles. Jump onto the single-block then jump onto the ledge and shoot
diagonally to freeze the enemies on the floor. Wall jump off the tip of the
wall on the right to land on the ledge. Charge your beam and run until you get
to the crumble blocks. Duck, shoot your beam and a missile. Jump over the
blocks and fall into the pit. Exit with a charge beam.

In this room, spin jump over the lava and the spin should kill the enemy on the
ceiling. Exit right.

This is one of the most difficult rooms. When you enter, jump onto the platform
by going through the hole in the middle. Here is the tough part. Run left and
jump onto the higher platform by going through the hole. You have to jump at
the very edge of the platform, or you will hit the bottom of the next one and
fall. Sometimes then hoppers will be on the hole but you can still grab the
side if you get hit. Try for a perfect boss door if you want but if you manage
to pull off the platform trick, a few shots wouldn't hurt. Enter the boss room.

Aim down with L and shoot at the guy before he is in sight. You should hit him
when you are running and he appears. He'll transform into a beam-X. 4 missiles
will kill it. Kill it above the control panel for fast grabbing. Grab it, stop
the heat, the exit right.

The hoppers are a sinch to kill now. A charge beam will do fine. Exit right
with a charge beam. Spin into the ceiling again and exit. Wall jump off the
right wall, right under the notch. Go real high up and wall jump off the left.
Wall jump high off the right wall again. Then the left. You should land on the
upper floor. Charge your beam and fall down the crumble blocks. Release your
shot and shoot 2 missiles down, then land on the single block. Shoot the fire
monster on the ceiling if you need to. Jump onto the next 2 platforms and exit
right.

Jump over the ledge and fall to the floor. Exit left. Exit left again. Fall
down the pit and exit right with a charge beam.

The hard room again. Pretty much the same thing except you can shoot when you
see the enemy and you have a bigger beam. Remember to press R when the gun is
swinging down. Do this on the next enemy and worry about that trick no longer.
It will never be used again.

In the verticle shaft, jump onto the ledge, then on the ladder. Climb up and
jump on the platform. Wall jump off the right wall, onto the left ladder. Climb
up again. When you reach the door, jump up real high and grab the ladder, then
climb to the top. Most of the time, the enemies won't attack you in time.
Sometimes, the one at the top will shoot you, but no very often if you're
quick. Exit left. Run to the left wall and set a bomb. Go through the bottom
tunnel and fall down the crumble block.

Unmorph before you land and aim up with L. Run left. Shoot the button when you
are in the next room. Open the door and exit. Shoot out the next few walls, and
charge your boost. Jump onto the leftmost platform (was a pillar), shoot out
the ceiling above you. Somersault onto next floor and right right a few steps.
Spark diagonally up and right. When you hit the wall, spin to it and wall jump
to the left. Run left and shoot out the blocks in your way. Charge you beam and
somersault onto the ledge above you. (kills the enemy) Jump onto the next ledge
and run to the save point. Save.

Part 12

End of Sector 3 - Ship

This part is a little long. I made it this way because the 2 main deck parts
are a sinch. Even Sector 5 is a little easy.

Talk to Nav. and go up the elevator. Go up the main elevator. Run right and
build up speed. Be sure to open the door in the hall so you won't hit it. In
the next room, crash through the wall and jump over the pit, into the doorway.
When you enter the next room, fall between the ledge and the platform and move
left. When you pass the next platform, move right. After landing on the ledge,
run right. Do a short hop off the edge so you won't land on the platform below
it. Run right. Pass up Nav. Exit right.

In this room, pass under the platform, and jump onto the ledge. Wall jump off
the right wall this time (not the ledge like in the beginning) and grab the
platform next to the door. Jump onto the platform directly above you. The jump
all the way up and grab the ledge next to the left door. Exit left. Go up the
elevator.

Go left. In this room, (DaveB) discovered that you can use the extended jump.
Wall jump high off the right wall and after you begin to fall, quickly do the
trick. You should be able to grab the ledge. Climb up and jump to the right.
Freeze the upper wall monster when he lunges out at you. (hopefully, he won't
shoot you instead) Jump to the upper ledge and exit left.

Shoot out the second 2x2 block in the floor (this one won't break in one shot
though). Fall through and shoot the button on the right. Run right. Stop when
you are in the doorway in the background. Run left and shoot on your way to
destroy the wall. You will eventually fall through some speed blocks in the
floor. Move right again and shoot the button. Keep going and grab the missile.
Go back to the left and jump into the passage in the wall.

Run to the left some and jump high into the left wall. Wall jump off it and
shoot a missile downward into the wall monster. Jump up and shoot an missile
at the on that is lunging out at you, and land on it. Jump and shoot one at
the next one and land on it. Jump onto the ledge and exit right.

Stand on the control panel to open the door. Wait, and wait, and wait for the
animals to come out. Run right and exit. Fall to the floor and exit right
again. Go down the elevator. Exit right.

Back in the verticle shaft. Run right and fall off the ledge. Keep moving right
until you are touching the platform on the top right. Stop touching anything.
You should fall straight down and miss all the platforms. Fall off the ledge.
Then the next one, but don't land on the platform. Fall down the right side of
it. Exit left then talk to Nav. Exit left.

Navigate this room in much the same way as in the beginning. But this time,
don't grab the edge of the platform at the top. You have high jump now. Grab
the ledge next to the door instead. Exit left.

In this room, jump the pit like before, morph, and go through the tunnel. Start
running left. Keep going through the next few rooms and crash through the wall.
Land on the missiles. Go back to the right and down the elevator. Go left to
Sector 5.

Talk to Nav. Run right and charge your boost when you exit the recharge room.
Somersault off the ledge and fall down to the very bottom. Shoot AFTER landing
to open the door. Charge your beam and jump into the door (don't walk in). Let
go of B when the screen goes black. When you appear in the next room, you
should be high in the air. Press A after your spin breaks and spark right. When
you hit the ledge that juts out of the wall, hold A. Jump onto the ledge on the
left. Climb up the ladder with a charged beam. Jump onto the high floor. The
bad thing about this beam is that you can't kill the flying enemy like before.
Only one of the beams will hit it. Now you have to kill it at point blank
range. The next enemy is a little tougher. Just shoot as fast as you can toward
the ground. You should kill it with 2 close hits. Fall down the right pit and
into the door like last time.

Run right and jump onto the ledge. You might want to aim downward with L here
and shoot. Most likely there will be an enemy here. Fall down to the floor
below you and exit right. Shoot the button in this room. Run right and grab
the download. Now you have the power bombs. Exit right.

Shoot out the floor. Fall down a little bit, until you pass the ledges. Spin to
the left. It is hard to explain exactly where to start spinning so you won't
hit the flying monsters so just hope for the best. Land on the bottom and exit
left.

I wonder where the pillar monster went. Just set a power bomb and jump into the
middle of the pit. Fall down and jump to the door. (Stay morphed) Move left.
When you're about to reach the bottom of the ramp, set a power bomb. Unmorph
and jump over the pillar. Morph back. Jump up, into the higher tunnel when the
explosion reveals it. Beware of SA-X though. The explosion will grab its
attention. Go through the tunnel and unmorph when you exit. Exit through the
left door. If you're quick, you won't have to dodge any beams.

Set a power bomb when you enter the room. Shoot the enemies on the walls as
much as you can because the power bomb won't kill the off-colored one. When the
explosion kills them, Wall jump off the left wall and set a power bomb up in
the air. Fall back down and grab the power bomb expansion. Wall jump off the
left wall again, then go up the hole in the ceiling. Jump your way up the path
by freezing the flying monsters. Enter the room on the right and grab the bomb
expansion. Exit. Fall back down and exit left. Pass the security room.

Navigate this room exactly as you did last time. Same thing with the speed
boost at the top. This time, however, you better pull it off. If you don't, you
will have to kill the barrier-X with a power bomb and that wastes precious
time. The boost will take you right through it. Shoot open the door and exit
right.

Now you're back in the big freezer room. Jump through the hole in the ceiling
and wall jump off the wall you hit. Morph and set a power bomb, then jump and
set a bomb on the left wall. The regular bomb should go off first, giving you
a head start. Crawl through the tunnel and the power bomb should go off. Enter
the room on the left.

This room is just a little difficult. Shoot the flying mosters when they are
in the middle of their little spaces. Don't morph and enter the spaces with
them because that wastes time. Shoot a missile through the tunnels first. Then
crawl in with them. Jump onto them then go off the other side into the next
tunnel. If you mess up, you will land on crumble blocks. Do the same thing
with the next enemy. When you exit the left tunnel from his space, however, you
need to jump. This will take you over a set of more crumble blocks. Don't worry
if you didn't jump and fall through. When you land, jump back up. You can make
it up before the blocks regenerate. Grab the bomb expansion and fall through
the blocks to your right. Run right and charge your boost at the end of the
path. Somersault up to the ledge. Break your spin before landing (by shooting,
in order to open the door) and spark right.

By sparking, you will bust the first bomb block in the wall, only leaving one
to deal with. Bust that one, then crawl out of the tunnel. Unmorph and jump the
hole. Keep moving and jump onto the ledge. Jump onto the one above you. (Be
sure to have charge beams ready) If an enemy comes, shoot it. Exit left.

Do the little hop trick by Sesshoumaru. Exit this room exactly like last time.
Remember the thing about the beam on the high floor though.

Small room with a power-up. Don't grab it yet. Exit left.

This room may look more intimidating due to the increase in enemies but it's
pretty much the same. Wall jump off the right and grab the ladder. Climb up
a little. Jump, wall jump, exit. Just like before, and none of the enemies can
touch you. Run to Nav. You may save in the room if you want, but I prefer not
to. After talking, go up the elevator, then go right and up the main elevator.

Pay attention here. I have (several times) sat there and looked at the TV for a
bit, waiting for the elevator to go up to the top. But it doesn't. As soon as
it stops, fire to the right like mad. Morph and enter the tunnel.

Set a power bomb as soon as you enter the next room. Jump up and fall down the
blocks on the right. Unmorph when falling and charge your beam. Sping into the
enemy and land on the ledge. The power bomb should take care of the rest. Morph
and enter the tunnel on the right.

O_O  Ridly. Well, he's frozen. But the X have grabbed his DNA and will take
off. Fall down the hole that appears.

Set a power bomb after passing the crumble blocks. If you do it before, a
couple of blocks won't get destroyed. Don't ask me why. Jump into the tunnel on
the left. Make the jump onto the higher tunnel. Set a power bomb before falling
down the other side. Move left all the way to the block before the last one.
When the tunnel above appears, unmorph and jump to grab the bomb expansion.
Morph back and go right. Unmorph here in order to make the jump. Make your way
to the end of the tunnel.

This part is the worst part of this, uh... part. Charge your beam and jump onto
the ledge. Run full speed to the right. Fire your beam at the enemy on the
floor. Charge and kill the next one. Hopefully, the third one will have moved
right instead of left, allowing you to gain full speed. Set a bomb before
crashing through the blocks. Jump up the first hole and grab the missile. Jump
up the next hole and exit right.

Falling down here without landing is a little tough. Stay in the middle until
you fall about one section (map-wise) the move left about a block. Morph and
set a power bomb when you pass the red door. Exit right as soon as the power
bomb blocks on the left get destroyed. If you run too early, not only did you
wait a little for the explosion, but you will have to wait again after coming
back. Continue on to your ship. Don't save when you enter it. Listen to the
computer. When you exit, run back in the ship and then save.

7 minutes for this whole part. Not bad.

Part 13
-------

Ship - Sector 2

If you didn't save after the mission breifing like I told you to, you will have
to listen to him again after restarting. This results in going back into the
ship anyway, so do it the first time to keep from having to listen to him.

Run left through the next few rooms. The power bomb blocks should be destroyed
now so you won't have to stop. Morph in the next room and fall down. Shoot out
the floor on the right. Fall down, fall off the ledge, then exit right.

This room is difficult to explain. When you enter, run right a little and shoot
diagonally upward. This will clear a path on top by destroy 2 vine blocks. Jump
up and shoot again to destroy the 3rd one. Run right. When you fall into the
little pit, shoot diagonally downward several times. You will end up near the
wall and begin falling. Shoot downward several times to destroy the vines below
you. Aim forward and shoot while falling still to destroy the vines near the
ceiling next to the door. Jump to the door and exit.

In this room, jump over the space pirate and onto the ledge. If the next one is
close to the ledge, jump over it. If not jump high, so you can dodge the beams,
and land next to him. This causes the space pirate to jump. Run under him and
jump onto the next ledge. Grab the energy tank. Exit right.

Run all the way to the right and shoot out the floor. Run back to the left.
Jump high when you reach the space pirate and land next to him to make him
jump. Shoot out the floor and fall down. Run right. Shoot out the floor and
kill the space pirate their. Since you didn't kill the first one, It didn't
materialize in the second space. This space pirate will go their instead. Duck
and shoot holes in the left walls. Morph and set a power bomb, then grab the
missile. Exit out of the tunnel and fall in the hole.Fall down the hole on the
right. Fall and shoot the left floor. Fall in and morph. Go through the tunnel
and set a power bomb before falling down the crumble block. Set a bomb near the
floor, then exit the tunnel. Run left and wall jump off the ladder, and grab
the edge of the tunnel. Crawl in and jump up the hole. (aren't power bombs
great?) Kill the boss door on the left. This one likes to be a perfect door
most of the time. Not much to worry about. Reset if he's not if you wish. Exit
left.

Yakuza. Fun boss, but can get annoying very quickly. Land the floor far below
you. When you here the crash, jump up and fire missiles upward. Do it again.
You can hit him several times this way. After this fall left but don't get near
the wall. After the fire lands, jump over the one in the middle and stand near
the right wall. Duck. Yakuza will go right over you and near the middle. Stay
to the left of him always when he is in the air. This way, you can use the
background as reference points. (Unless he is next to the left wall, then you
can sty on the right.) Doing this only allows him to be in 2 positions the
whole first half of the battle. Either mid-left or next to the wall (but not
touching the wall)

Try to stand in this position when he opens his mouth. (visualize here) You can
shoot up and the missiles will barely hit the left side of his mouth. When he
fires the fire, the one in the middle will land to the right of you but will
not hit you. This way you can keep shooting him. This is a great tactic but
it is hard to determine the spot very quickly.

Here is where the background comes in. You see the big square metal pieces in
the background? Look for the vertical crack on the left side, connecting the
left and mid-left pieces. When Yakuza is in position 1 (mid-left), stand with
Samus's back barely covering the crack and looking to the right. Aim up and
fire when he opens. In position 2 (next to the wall) do the same thing but look
to the left. Remember that only the very edge of her back should cover the
crack. Now if you get luck and he fires the first wave in the middle, before
you get the chance to manipulate him, you're on your own. Try to fire out the
spot as best as you can.

When he fires the first wave of fire, shoot him until he turns blue. Shoot
about 2 or 3 more times so you won't destroy his legs. On the second wave, fire
as fast as you can. You will damage him even more and then his legs will bust.
(he should be a reddish color by now). When he spin jumps, try to hit him with
a missile every time he opens his mouth. There is definitely no set pattern so
good luck. Kill the X as usual and grab it.

Awwww. The power-up I hate most. You get space jump, but you can no longer wall
jump. (Unless your underwater, but gravity suit soon takes care of that) Space
jump your way up to the top and into the passage. Exit and land on the control
panel. Go left and talk to Nav. Exit left. Shoot the button and exit left.

Back in the reactor core. A save room is on the lower right but we don't want
to go there. Unless you are really horrible at dodging the SA-X, don't save
there. Space jump your way left and up some. Watch out for the bee above you
near the beginning. Work your way above the ledge on the left and shoot a beam
upward to destry the vines. Jump back up and shoot the ones in the tunnel, then
go through. In the next room, set a power bomb, then a regular bomb. This bomb
will destroy 1 vine block to give you a head start. Go left and fall in the pit
where SA-X lurks.

When you land, shoot a missile at it to freeze it. Use the glitch to appear on
top of it for quick escaping. In the next room, jump over the stump and morph
in midair. Set a power bomb. Jump back to the right some, but don't pass the
stump. SA-X should jump back to the right. At this time, the bomb should go off
allowing you to go left. In the next room, aim up with L and open the three
gates. After passing the large stump at the 3rd gate, shoot a missile at the
missile block on the floor (to the right of the strip of vines in the floor).
Jump in and fire 3 quick shots downward. This part is a little comical. SA-X
won't fall in. It tries to jump in but lands on the other side of the hole each
time. If you hang on the side, you can see it jump back and forth over and over
again. Anyway, fall to the floor, and exit left.

Jump up to the ledge when you enter this room. Run left and shoot diagonally
downward to break the vines. When you fall shoot down to bust the floor. Exit
left. As soon as you enter this room, set a power bomb and run next to the left
door. When the power bomb blocks get destroyed, exit left.

In this room, jump onto the top of the pillar. Set a power bomb at the top.
Space jump your way left and up. Shoot out the 2 walls on the right. The
enemies should be dead now.  Grab the bomb expansion. Go back to the left and
go to the upper floor. Exit right. Save.

Part 14

Sector 2 - Sector 5

Run right and exit. Exit the next room. In the next room, shoot up to destroy
the blocks in the ceiling. Jump up and start running right. Shoot about 3 or 4
times, then start shooting diagonally upward. Jump up to the boss door. You
should try for a perfect door here. Charge your beam before exiting.

When you enter the room, fall onto the crumble blocks. Start spinning so you
won't get hit by the little spark thing. Land on the stump on the right. Stand
with one foor on and one foot hanging off the left side. Then duck. Right here,
you are untouchable. Fire missiles until the flower buds die. Now for phase 2.

Stand near the right side of the stump. Shoot missiles as fast as you can. Jump
over the low beams and duck under the high ones. Don't stop shooting. The plant
should die in no time. Now for the beam-X.

For some reason, I think this X is harder to kill in the right spot than it is
the others. Just kill it, grab the X and go. Don't worry about the enemies in
the next room. Just drop down and exit left. Charge your beam though.

When running, you will come across a bee before you gain full speed. Kill it
with your charge beam. You will exit left. Duck before you reach the hole.
Somersault over the hole onto the block on the left side. Spark up. Land on the
platform and go right. In this room, jump and grab the invisible tunnel on the
right wall. Crawl in and run right. Jump and shoot the block on the right
side of the thing that juts out of the ceiling. Grab the energy tank and exit
both rooms. Exit the next one on the left with a charge beam.

In this room, fire your beam, then fire a bunch more, to kill the wingless
bees. Morph and exit left. Set a power bomb when you enter the next room. When
the block breaks, unmorph and jump onto the platfor the jump up onto the right
ledge. Then jump onto the next ledge on the right. Jump onto the platform and
morph. Set a power bomb. Jump onto the ledge that sticks out of the left wall.
Run left when it breaks. Jump onto the ledge and run to Nav.

Go up the elevator, then go left to Sector 5. Talk to Nav. then save.

Part 15

Sector 5 - Sector 4

Run to the right and exit the recharge room with a charge beam. As soon as you
all off the ledge, spin left to avoid getting hit. This will also kill the
enemy. Go right and shoot out the block in the wall, then kill the enemy on the
right wall. Crawl through the tunnel and exit right.

Space jump your way to the top of the room. Shoot open the left door but don't
go in. Land on the upper floor and run right. Aim down while running and kill
the enemies so you won't get hit. Charge your boost next to the wall, then
spark left. Pass through the door into the next room. You will grab the missile
and bust through the wall. Be sure to hold in A to jump onto the ledge. Grab
the bomb expansion and exit right. Fall down the pit and land on the very
bottom floor, right next to the left ledge. Run right and kill the enemy on
your way. Charge your boost right before hitting the wall. Somersault above the
ledge, break the spin, and spark right.

When you hit the ceiling. Go right. Kill the enemies on the ground so you won't
hit them. Exit right. Shoot out the floor right below you when you fall into
the pit. Hug the left wall, but watch the right one. When you see the notch,
shoot a missile when you think it is even with Samus. If that's too difficult,
look for a black space in the left wall an shoot it. Grab the tunnel and go in.

When you enter this room again, move right and unmorph. Exit while charging.

Fire the beam when you enter this room. It will kill the space pirate most of
the time. If it doesn't, shoot a missile to finish the job. Start charging
again. Most likely, the next one will shoot you before you can shoot it. Duck
under the beam and shoot him. Charge again. Jump onto the ledge above you and
shoot your beam at the new, underwater pirate. Exit left with a charge beam.

When you enter this room, fire your beam to kill the underwater pirate. Jump
onto the 1st two steps. Then jump and grab the ledge next to the door. Exit
right. Shoot out the ceiling next to the 2 metal monsters. Jump up and go left.
Morph and set a power bomb in the next room. Kill the enemies on the floor and
go to the far left side. Grab the bomb and exit right. Space jump to the
ceiling while going right. When you reach the part that sticks down, morph and
set a power bomb high in the air. Go around that part and go up and to the
left. When the tunnel appears, grab it (make sure the explosion receded). Crawl
through and set another power bomb. Move left and jump it the second black
space in the ceiling. (it's 2 blocks wide) Grab the bomb when the power bomb
reveals it. Exit the tunnel going right. Save now if you want. The door is on
the upper right. If not, go to the bottom right door and exit while charging.

When you enter this room, spin into the floor to kill the 1st enemy, then shoot
the 2nd one. Jump up the hole in the ceiling. Boss door time. This one can get
annoying if you didn't save earlier. 3 shots will lose you time. Kill it and
exit right. Set a bomb high on the right wall. Jump in the tunnel and grab the
energy tank. Move left and fall down the crumble blocks into Nightmare's lair.

When Nightmare rises up, charge your beam and stand right under the round part
that controls gravity. When he materializes, shoot your beam and 2 missiles.
This will start the gravity generator. Stay under him and keep firing charge
beams. You can hit him with missiles when he gets close to you. After the
gravity thing starts flashing, grab the ladder on the left wall. Charge your
beam.

Timing is key here. Fire your beam at his face, right before it explodes. That
way, the beam will hit him with minimal wasted time. Unload missiles on his
face. Don't worry about dodging him. You have too much life to dodge. Let him
run into you.

Here's where it gets interesting. He'll start flying in circles. Shoot a
missile at his face whenever you get a chance. If you are on the far left when
he is about to move left, he will stop flying and do that slow movement thing
again. This is where you fire more missiles. If you're fast, this second time
will kill him. Kill the core-X as usual and take it.

Now you have the gravity suit and the new inability to wall jump underwater.
Run left to open the door. Run back to the far right, then run left again.
Crash through the wall and shoot open the door. Shoot open the next one. Back
in the room with the underwater pirate. Charge your boost then charge your beam
while falling into the water. Land on the 1st step from the floor. Shoot the
pirate, shoot again then spark right. After hitting the wall, land on the
floor. Charge your beam and move left. Kill the first space pirate and stop a
little bit after him. Then move back to the right. Open the door and exit.

Charge your boost AFTER busting the 2nd wall. If you do it only after the 1st
one, you'll have to go back and try again. Move back, in between the walls and
spark up. Grab the bomb and fall down the crumble blocks on the left. Run
right.

You will pass through a large room and go up a ramp. Start charging your beam.
At the end of this ramp, jump to crash through another wall. Press R to fire
the beam at the door. Keep jumping shoot the next door. (you won't have time
to charge again) Go through and save.

Part 16

Sector 4

Exit the save room. Fall down the pit and enter the room on your right. This
room is very difficult to navigate without slowing down or getting hit. When
you enter, shoot up an over a few times to break the blocks. Jump through and
shoot over when falling. Charge your beam and jump through. Shoot the enemy on
the floor at point blank. Jump onto the ledge but don't shoot the blocks or
you will fall in. Shoot the blocks ahead of you and grab the missile. Run out
by charging and space jumping. Hopefully you won't get hit. After exiting, go
left and crawl in the invisible tunnel on the left wall. Grab the bomb and
exit. Fall down to the very bottom and exit left.

Kill only the bottom fish in this room. Morph and set a bomb on the top left
side of the tunnel. Unmorph and shoot a missile upward to bust the missile
blocks. Jump up and space jump to the top right of the room. Shoot out the
blocks in the wall and grab the bomb. Go back the the left and shoot out the
blocks in the left wall. Crawl in and unmorph. Run left.

Keep running and morph when you are standing on the blocks above the hole. Set
a bomb. Fall in and set a bomb on the 3rd vent from the left. Fall in. When you
land, set another bomb. Set a power bomb right before you land from falling
again. Unmorph and quickly kill the fish in the right area. Morph back and jump
right, into the invisible tunnel. Fall into the small pit. The power bomb
should bust it about now. Fall left and go through the wall. Fall down into the
hole that the power bomb made. Unlock the red doors and exit right.

You have the chance to see the secret message but since you're doing a speed
run, that will not be necessary. Space jump up to the notch in the right wall.
Morph and go through the invisible tunnel.

After exiting the tunnel, stay morphed. Set a power bomb before passing up the
missile blocks on the right. (4 blocks down the little "fish tank") Unmorph and
destroy the 2 missile blocks. Crawl into the little space and stay morphed.
When the X come to form the gold monsters move left so you won't grab them. You
have to kill 2 gold monsters to open the door. If you grab all but 1 X. You'll
have to wait until the X from the 1st monster reforms. Enter the room on the
bottom right. Set a power bomb when you enter. Jump up to the top ledge. When
the bomb explodes, grab the energy tank. The go back to the left. I'm not sure
which way is faster, but a guess would be backtracking. Exit left.

Aim up with L and start shooting to destroy the blocks. Jump back up and exit
through the tunnel. Space jump up to the top of the shaft and exit right. Keep
going through the rooms until you get to the one with the underwater pirates.
Set a power bomb near the glass tunnel. Fall in and grab the missile, then jump
back out with a charge beam. Kill the next pirate and exit right.

Dodge the monsters because they aren't killed very easily. Go up to the top and
exit right. Just run through the next room. In the big room, jump and shoot out
the vents in the right wall. Crawl through the tunnel and go right. Jump onto
the ledge and go left. Jump onto the next few ledges, then jump onto the one
above you. Go right. Jump and shoot a missile at the spike monster before it
expands. Jump onto the ledge it's on and morph over it. Jump out of the space
and fall left. Unmorph and run right. Go through the next room. When you start
boosting, jump through the pillar monster and land on the missile. Keep going
right, then morph and go through the invisible tunnel on the right. Fall down
and run left, killing the enemies on the ground. When you start boosting, run
to the left side of a ramp and spark into it. Charge your boost right under the
hole you fell into. Spark back up it and grab the bombs. Fall back down and
exit right.

Space jump to the right, but when you hit the wall, use the ladder trick on
your way up. When you get to the ceiling, shoot a missile up and space jump
into the slot you made. Exit left. In this room, set a power bomb and then a
normal bomb next to the wall. When the bomb explodes, go in. Don't worry about
getting hit. Then the power bomb will explode, allowing you to pass. In the
next room, fall to the floor and enter the data room on the right.

When you step on the pad, turn left and shoot a normal beam at the door to open
it. Download the data for diffusion missiles. Hold in R and exit the room. As
soon as you enter the next room, fire the missle and morph. Enter the bottom
tunnel and unmorph when you exit. Go left. When you enter this room, run left
and do a short hop over the hole with water. You should be able to get past the
barrier-X before it materializes. Run left and shoot the wall past the ledge.
Grab the missile and go back to the right, through the bottom path. Kill the
barrier-X and exit right. Jump up to the top left door and exit.

Go up and to the left, over the pillar, then down the pit, into the door on the
left. Exit. Exit the next room too. Set a power bomb, then a normal one next to
the wall. Crawl through the tunnel and fall down the hole. Set another power
bomb and crawl through the tunnel on the left side of the floor. Grab the bomb.

Set another power bomb on your way back up. Crawl through the tunnel and work
your way to the save room beside Nav. Save.

Part 17

End of Sector 4 - Ridley's hideout

Talk to Nav. Go up the elevator, then go to Sector 6. Talk to Nav. Run right
just like before. Charge your boost after exiting the recharge room. Somersault
and spark to the right. Open the door and charge in the next room. Kill the
enemies while going down so you won't lose your boost. Spark right, and go
under the low ceiling like last time. When you hit the wall hold A to jump onto
the ledge. Then jump on the next one and exit. Run through this room, killing
the enemy on the floor, and exit right.

Have a charge beam ready and spin into the puffer and fall below it. Run left
and fall off that ledge. Fall off the next one and enter the door on the left.
When you jump over the ledge, morph and set a power bomb. Run to the left and
exit when the wall breaks.

Shoot all the flying monsters that are in your way. Fall down and look out for
the red monsters on the ground. Exit right. Fall down the set of crumble blocks
and exit left. Go down the ramp and look out for puffers. Exit left. Fall off
the ledge and shoot down when you're near the left wall, in order to destroy
the floor. Enter the room on your left. Run and charge your boost before you
hit the gate. Dash left and recollect your speed on the little ramp before the
door. Exit right.

Spark up and exit right. Go right and jump onto the ledge. There may be a
puffer near the ramp so look out. Enter BOX's territory.

Morph when you enter the room and set a bomb next to the ceiling. Arm yourself
with missiles. Grab the ceiling when the bomb explodes and move right a little.
When BOX hits the wall, shoot several missiles downward. Move right until you
think you can hit him with diagonal missiles. Shoot all the missiles that BOX
shoots, then fire 2 missiles at him. Move right just a little so he won't hit
you when he jumps. Fire several missiles into him. Then repeat. After it jumps
again, you should be able to kill it. Kill the beam-X just like every other
beam-X. Grab it for the wave beam.

Work your way back to the gate. Charge your boost. Somersault up and break your
spin with a shoot (to open the gate) and spark left, into the tunnel opening.
Morph and go through. Run through the next several rooms. When you enter the
room with all the metroid pictures, charge your boost at the top of the ramp.
Somersault onto the ledge and spark into the ramp. Open the door and zoom in.
After landing go all the way back to notice SA-X destroying the lab.

After the timer starts, Space jump up to the top of the room. Avoid the
metroids on your way. They won't hurt but they'll break your spin. Exit and
watch the cutscene. Talk to Nav. and go up the elevator. Now you're in Ridley's
territory. (Well... the X form anyway) Shoot open the door and charge your
missiles. Space jump to the top of the room and shoot your missile into the
wall. Crawl into the tunnel and grab the energy tank. Fall down, jump a few
ledges and exit right. Jump across the platforms to the door on the right.

In this room, shoot out the floor and fall in. Kill the enemy in the box on the
left. When the X reforms on the ceiling, kill it with a missile. Let the X turn
into a golden space pirate. These can killed faster at times than others for
some reason. Let it shoot at you and jump over it. When he jumps over you,
shoot it with a fully charged beam and a missile (just to be sure) before he
turns around. Don't stand too close either or he you won't kill it. Enter the
room on the right and grab the bomb. Exit the room and start charging your
missiles. Jump through the hole.

When you get near the ladder, shoot your missile at the right wall. Climb up
the ladder, into the tunnel. Set a power bomb as soon as you morph. Jump up and
climb up and exit left. Run to the wall while shooting the enemies below you.
Set a bomb and kill as many as you can. Try to get 2 gold pirates to appear
becuase you have to kill 2 to open the door. Kill them an exit right. Jump up
the the top and enter the top left room. Save.

Part 18

Ridley's hideout - Final sweep

This segment is difficult for one reason. You will be getting half of the
remaining power-ups in the game before saving again. This is also after beating
Ridley. Several restarts may be needed here, so practice, practice, practice.

Exit the save room and jump off the ledge. Fall left, then off the pillar. Fall
off the next ledge and exit left. (You never have to enter the room on the
right. It serves absolutely no purpose.) Be sure to charge your missiles.

When you enter the room, jump up and shoot the first enemy with your missile.
Land on it and charge them again. Keep going left and fire a missile to the
ground ahead of you when it is charge. Get a perfect boss door and enter
Ridley's room.

This boss has no definite pattern, but it should be extremely easy to kill.
Just keep hitting him with fully charged wave beams. He should die in less than
20 shots depending on how many flares connected and how many of each beam hit
him. Kill the core-X the usual way and grab it. Now you are practically
invincible with your new screw attack. Exit top right.

Just keep somersaulting through this room. Exit right. Go back the way you came
in this room, too. Exit top right. In this room, set a bomb at the wall again,
and exit right with a charge beam. Shoot it when you enter the next room and
set a bomb on the floor, 2 blocks from the wall. Fall in and go through the
tunnel on the left. Unmorph in midair, and grab the tunnel in the right wall
that you made earlier. Exit right.

These are the gates I hate. You have to slow down to open them. Do a short hop
and shoot, then exit right. Do as little a hop as you can into the floor
covering the hole and fall in. Jump down the ledge and go through the hole on
the right. Unmorph when you fall out and exit through the bottom right.

Run through the acid until you get near the wall. Jump until you break the wall
and crawl through the hole. Keep running through the acid and jump to break
each wall. (only jump a little). When you pass the 3rd wall, shoot up with L
and jump to bust out the single hole. Crawl in and exit right.

This room is also bad. You have to space jump all the way to the top, which
seems like it takes forever. When you reach the top, exit right. Keep running
through this next room. When you enter the verticle shaft, charge your boost,
then spark up from the 2nd block from the wall. Exit left.

Shoot open the gate and exit left. Run through the water, go through the
tunnel, and exit left. Fall down the crumble blocks and screw attack the wall,
on the left. Run to the right (past the wall you destroyed), then run left.
When you reach the save room, you should be able to charge a boost. Turn right,
open the door, and spark right. Go through the next room. Then the next one.
Shoot diagonally up, then charge your boost when you enter the water place.
Fall in and shoot down to kill the enemy. Run right, as far as you can on the
bottom, and spark up. Grab the power bomb. Exit the room, and run back to the
save point. Charge boost, spark right, blah, blah. This time, charge your boost
before passing the ladder. Somersault up to the left door. Open it and spark
left. Recollect your speed on the ramp and charge your boost near the pit.
Somersault above the pit and spark up. Grab the energy tank. Exit through the
top right of the room below you.

Jump though the hole in the ceiling and shoot diagoanlly to the left to destroy
the blocks behind the missile block. Jump and shoot the missile block with a
missile and climb in the tunnel. Grab the missile and exit. Exit right. Run to
the right of this room, fall down the pit, and exit right. Shoot the button and
exit right. Space jump to the top of this room and exit left.

In the second verticle shaft, go to the middle door (on the left). Run full
speed and destroy all the enemies on the ground in your way. Exit left. Charge
your boost after entering the next room. Shoot open the left door and spark
left. You will fly into a missile and the hit a ledge with another missile.
Jump onto it and grab it. Fall into the lava and morph before you land. Go
right, all the way through the tunnel and grab the missile there. Go back out
and exit left.

Climb your way up this shaft. Exit through the blue door on the top right. Now
you're in the big room with 4 doors. Exit through the door on the top right.
Screw attack through the ceiling, then grab the bomb. Grab onto the invisible
tunnel in the right wall. Run to Sector 2.

When you enter the room, after exiting space, charge your boost near the wall.
Screw attack the wall, then spark right. You should grab the missile on your
way. Exit right. Run down the ramp, fall off and run right. Shoot the blocks,
fall off, and run right. Morph and enter the tunnel. Roll off the ledge,
unmorph, and spin left. Exit left. Just run under the enemies in the next room.
Exit.

Set a power bomb at the entrance of this room. Quickly unmorph and screw attack
the 1st bomb block. Roll through the hole and the power bomb should open the
next one before you reach it. Fall off the ledge, then down the hole. Crawl
through the small tunnel on your left and enter the room.

This room is a little difficult to navigate quickly. Do NOT freeze the flying
enemies and jump them. Space jump under the very low ceiling. You will land on
the crumble blocks. Just regain your spin and jump back up by hitting A very
fast. Grab the bomb and fall down the pit under it. Shoot downward several
times to destroy some blocks in your way, the you will land on another bomb.
(Set a power bomb before grabbing it though) Exit through the hole your bomb
made and jump back up to the top. Exit right.

Crawl back through the hole and fall down. Go past the right side of the
platform, then move left. Fall down the hole and land next to the door to the
left of the destroyed door. Enter this room.

At the edge of the water, jump up and grab the ceiling for a split second. Jump
off and start spinning. Do a short, midair hop to land on the ledge. Grab the
missile and jump in the water. Grab the tunnel on the left. Crawl through and
enter the room on your left. Screw attack the block in the left wall, crawl in
and grab the missile. Exit right. Exit right again.

Space jump over the pillar and onto the ledge next to the working door. Exit
right. Space jump over the pillar and into the next room. This is why you set
a power bomb earlier before. Just shoot out the blocks and fall in. Exit right.

Keep running right until you get to the forest-type room. Fall down the hole
and into the jumping boss's room. Space jump to the top right of the room.
Screw attack the wall and enter the room on your right.

Aaahh. The first compicated room for those of you who don't ask for hints. (Or
who never saw the beginning movie like me) Go to the very bottom of the room.
Run to the right and charge your boost after passing the ledge. Somersault,
break the spin, and spark left. After passing all the crumble blocks, charge
your boost and fall down them. Run to the left passage and somersault up. Break
your spin when you are about even with the ledge on the other side of the wall
and spark right. Grab the missile buried in the wall. Climb out and land on the
bottom floor. Run right and charge your boost again. Somersault, break the
spin, and spark. Repeat this several times until you get to the top ledge.
Surprise here. There is a little wall on the top ledge that you musn't hit.
Somersault on it and spark left. After grabbing the bomb, charge your boost.
Fall down the crumble blocks, shoot the door, and spark left.

Screw attack the wall you hit and go all the way back to the save point after
the spiny monsters. Save.

Part 19
-------

Final sweep

This is where you will grab the rest of the power ups. This one is the largest
part, and the most difficult.

This part is simple. Work you way back up to the big room, just as you did when
you defeated the eye boss. Remember that you can't wall jump though. Take a
little detour also. Don't go back through the hopper room, then the SA-X room.
Go up through the hole in the next room, and go through the blue room. It's
much faster.

Another tip on your way back. When you reach the top of the verticle shaft, and
enter the tunnel. Set a power bomb. Then bomb the block. The power bomb should
take out the one in the wall above you on the right side of the tunnel.

When you enter the large room near the beginning, crawl out of the tunnel. Go
up until you reach the blue door. Exit right. When you enter this room and fall
off the ledge, morph and set a power bomb. Unmorph and screw attack the right
wall. Grab the tunnel and crawl through. The power bomb will bust the next one.
Grab the missile and exit.

Go all the way up to the top of the big room and exit right. Run straigh
through this room. Exit right. Charge your boost and somersault onto the first
ledge. Run and somersault above the next one. Shoot left to break your spin and
spark through the door. Space jump to the top left wall and screw attack the
blocks there. Enter the room on your left.

This room can be a pain if you're not careful. Almost all of the room is
crumble blocks. Space jump over the pit and over the ledge. Go under the one
hanging from the ceiling. Then over the next ledge. Keep sticking near the
ceiling and keep going left. Land on the ledge with the energy tank and then go
back to the right.

Move right and fall down the crumble blocks. Run right and charge your boost at
the end of the room. Spark up and exit right. Break the wall and fall to the
bottom of the room. Exit right.

Run off the ledge you're standing on. Run off the next one. Screw attack the
wall on the bottom right and run to Sector 4.

Charge your boost under the hole in the ceiling. Spark up. When you hit the
ceiling higher up, bust it with your screw attack. Charge your missiles and
space jump to the top right. Fire your missle near the missile blocks and crawl
through the tunnel. Then go into the square box thing. Go throught the
insible tunnel in the right wall. Run to Sector 6.

When your reach the first wall in the blue room, charge your boost before
hitting it. Screw attack through the wall and space jump to the upper floor.
Break your spin as soon as you can and spark left. Regain your speed on the
ramp and shoot open the door as soon as you stop sparking.

This part is a little difficult. Hold in B the whole time and keep your finger
near the R button. When you enter this room, (with your boost still on) screw
attack through the wall and press R to shoot your beam at the door. Keep space
jumping through the door. Press R to shoot the next door and space jump through
it too. When you pass the ledge in the verticle shaft, move left to stop
boosting. Fall off this ledge on the left. Fall off the skinny ledge. Enter the
room on your left.

Screw attack the stump and move left about 4 or 5 blocks. Run to the right and
shoot open the door. You should starting boost near the end of the ledge.
Charge your beam and start space jumping through the wall. Press R to shoot the
door before passing the last few blocks, or else it won't open fast enough.
Keep space jumping to the energy tank. This part is very difficult. You have
to be in just the right spot or you will hit a wall or something. Grab it and
start building the bridge in this room. (which can get really frustrating)

Morph and land on the platform. Set a bomb in order on each number. Notice
number 2. Set that bomb at the very corner of the 2nd platform. After setting
all the bombs, shoot open the door and run back to the right. At the end of the
rightmost platform, run back to the left. Right when you start boosting, do a
short hop through the doorway. Keep space jumping through this wall. (Did you
remember to hold in B). Press R to shoot the door open.

This next part is a little difficult. If you don't want to risk messing up, do
it the normal way. (If you mess up once, the normal way will be faster) Keep
space jumping through this room and press R to open the red door. Space jump
through the invisible path in the left wall. Be sure you start falling a little
before entering the door. If you jumped and are traveling upwards, you will hit
a wall in the next room. If you are falling, you're ok. In the next room, fall
for a little bit and the start jumping again. You will break through several
rows of speed blocks. Land on the bomb in one of the areas. Fall down and move
left about 3 blocks, then run right. Charge your boost and spark left. (you
should be next to the ramp) After regainging your speed, start space jumping
and land on the top of the large box on the left side of the room. Grab the
bomb and exit through the bottom of the box. Run left, charge your boost at the
end, spark up, and exit right.

Jump up to the tunnel and move right. Fall down and unmorph. Fall to the bottom
floor and exit right. Fall down the crumble blocks and head all the way to the
restricted area (down and left). Use pretty much the same tactics as last time.

This time, however, you will use your boost in the glass tube. When you enter
the tube, don't charge your boost and spark up. (that takes you away from the
path) Instead, just jump into the blocks and space jump up to the bomb. Grab it
and fall down. Go back the way you came. When you reach the room that you fell
into, screw attack the ceiling and exit right. Keep going to BOX's room. Enter
the room after that on the bottom right.

Run to the left, shoot the gate open, and grab the missile. Run back to the
left. After passing the last stalactite (pointy thing on ceiling), screw attack
the ceiling and jump onto the ledge near the ceiling. Set a bomb and shoot
right. Crawl through the tunnel. This part can get a little annoying. Exit the
tunnel, unmorph, and immediely press A as fast as you can to jump and grab the
next tunnel. Grab the bomb and do the same thing going left. (It's not so bad
if you fall going this way becuase you don't have to try again) Exit through
the door.

Screw attack the next few walls, jump over the crumble blocks, and exit left.
Shoot the red things on the floor and jump to the top floor. Exit right. Keep
running, break through the stump, and exit right. Jump to the ledge above you,
then the next one. Enter the room on your right. Shoot the 2x2, jump over the
pillar, and enter the room on your right. Set a power bomb when you fall off
the ledge. Shoot a missile diagonally at the fake missile. Screw attack the
first bomb block and let the power bomb take out the next one. Grab the real
missile. Screw attack the reformed bomb block and exit left.

Jump around the ledge above you, then screw attack the upper-right wall. Run to
Sector 5.

Jump, right before entering the first room after the tube. You will be able to
crash through the screw attack blocks. Jump through the invisible hole in the
bottom left of the box and grab the missile. Exit right.

Exit the verticle shaft. Aim up with L and shoot the corner of the room. This
reveals the missile. Screw attack the ceiling next to it, grab the tunnel and
grab it. Exit right.

Run along the bottom of this room, killing the enemy on the floor. Exit right.
Exit through the next big room too. Screw attack the ceiling of the next one.
As you enter the room above you, screw attack the right side of the ceiling.
Kill the pirates with a charge beam and open the gate. Jump through the left
side of the ceiling, then the left side of the next one. Shoot open the gates.
Shoot the floor under the gates to reveal a power bomb. Grab it and go back
down. Use the screw attack to bust the bomb blocks. Exit right. Run to Sector
3. Pass through the tube and into the first room.

Charge your boost and screw attack the ceiling. Run left and shoot out the
blocks. Spark up and space jump to the energy tank. Go back down, into the
passage in space. Screw attack the ceiling near the tube, then shoot the little
box on it. Grab the bomb. Jump back down and run left. When you get to the wall
of the tube, run back to the right and enter the first room again. Charge your
boost, screw attack the ceiling, break the spin and spark left. Charge your
boost before hitting the wall. Screw attack the bomb blocks, and grab the
missile. Shoot the door and spark right.

Zoom past this room, open the door and exit right. Go to the bottom of the big
room and exit right. Do a short hop and shoot to open the gate. Run right.
When you bust the blocks, morph and set a power bomb. When the tunnel opens in
the lower room on the left wall, crawl in and grab the bomb. Exit right.

Fall down the shaft like before, but this time, you can hit the wall monsters.
Exit right. Run through this room because you have gravity suit now. Set a
power bomb in this room. Fall down the hole in the left side of the lava pit.
Navigate your way through this maze (it goes, right, up, right, down, left, up,
right) and grab the bomb. Go right again and down the crumble blocks. Unmorph,
exit the maze, then exit right. Run through this room again and exit right.
Now for the room on the right.

Shoot diagonally when you enter. Jump up and grab the missile that appeared.
Screw attack the left wall and enter the room through the bottom right door.
Shoot open the gate and space jump your way to the top right of the room. Grab
the energy tank, then enter the tunnel. Grab the missile near the other end.
Fall down the crumble block and enter the lava. Start on the left side and run
right. Charge your boost right before you hit the wall. Screw attack the wall
and spark left. Immediately charge your boost when you hit the ramp, the run
back to the right. Exit right.

Charge your boost on the right side of the room, then spark up. You will grab
a bomb on your way. When you hit the ceiling, fall back down and into the area
with the power bomb. Since there is a wall in the way, jump over it and the
screw attack will destroy the ceiling. Grab the bomb, go back up and exit left.

Use charge beams and missiles to kill the hoppers. Exit left. Screw attack the
wall and jump onto the floor. Run left, killing any enemies in your way until
you start boosting. Shoot open the door and enter the next room. Space jump
through the speed blocks in the left wall. Morph and set a power bomb. Shoot
down and left, (into the hole) then screw attack the bomb blocks in the hole.
Grab the energy tank. Enter the tunnel that the power bomb opened. Grab the
bomb and then exit through the door you came in.

Run to the right, killing enemies in your way, and charge your boost after you
pass the second flying enemy. Somersault to the ceiling to the right, shoot and
spark up and to the left. Grab the missile, then space jump to the top right.
Bust through the wall and run to Sector 1.

Charge your boost before hitting the wall in the first room. Screw attack the
wall then morph and enter the invisible tunnel on the ground. As soon as you
exit, unmorph and spark right. Hit the door, then open it. Exit right. Jump up
to the top floor and run back to Nav. Talk to it, then listen to Samus talk to
herself. After you regain control (you should be flashing from a spark if you
ducked like you should have) Somersault as low as you can and land back on the
pad. The pad will rise up and then sink back down so you can talk to Nav.
again. Talk and he'll open the doors. Go up the elevator, then go up the main
elevator.

Run right through the next room and open the door at the end. When you crash
through the wall, start space jumping through the already open door. Keep going
and grab the invisible tunnel, high on the right wall. Crawl through, screw
attack the wall and crawl through the next one. Set a bomb to bust the block,
then go up the shaft. Enter the room behing the large barrier-X.

There is an invisible tunnel in here. I'll draw an out line of it. (It starts
high on the right wall)

Exit the room. Fall down to the door below you and exit right. Exit right
again. SAVE POINT!!! Whew. Save.

You now have 100%. Now you just have to beat the game.

Part 20
-------

Final bosses

This part is a breeze compare to the last few. Exit the save room. Go up the
shaft like in the beginning except don't grab the ledges. (you have high jump
now) Exit top right. Run past Nav. and then go through the door in the top
right of the next room. Go up the elevator. Run left. Less than halfway through
the room, space jump to the left platform. Space jump to the top left door and
the battle with SA-X should begin.

This boss is a piece of cake. Jump down to the bottom floor with a charge beam.
Run right a little bit. When SA-X lands on your left, shoot it, then move
right (be sure you are constantly charging your beam). When SA-X finishes screw
attacking shoot it again. Run right again. Repeat. When you get near the wall,
shoot and then jump over SA-X. It should either dash under you, or jump (still
going under) right and then change direction. Do the same strategy except move
left this time. Repeat until SA-X kneels on the floor. Run behind it and stand.

Aim towards SA-X then hold L. After it mutates, Fire your beam at point-blank
range. Charge and fire it again as it turns around. Fire one more right as it
jumps. This should kill it before it even jumps above your kneecaps. Kill the
beam-X like all the others. This one's final spot is above the two platforms,
in between the windows in the background. You can't grab it though. Touch it to
make it run away, then jump to the top left door. Enter it and step on the
control panel. Exit right. Fall to the bottom of the room, and exit right. Go
down the elevator and exit left.

Hop at the end of the ledge so you won't hit the ones on the way down. Exit
left. Pass Nav. and exit left. Fall down in between all the platforms and exit
left. Can't save here. Exit left. Exit left again. Fall off the ledge and spin
right. Do a very short hop to keep from landing on the top ledge. Fall off the
bottom and run right. Keep going all the way to the verticle shaft.

As soon as you enter the shaft, charge your boost. Somersault down the shaft.
Stay near the mid-right of the room. You will notice a large platform next
to the right wall. (You have to look quickly becuase you fall pretty fast)
After you pass the 2nd one (you should be near the mid-right of the room) press
up to break the spin. If you're in the right spot, you won't land on the
platform. Spark right, right before you hit the ground. If you've done this the
previous parts of your run, you should already have enough practice for this.

If you stop, but it looks like you are touching the ground, you should be able
to pass under the low ceiling and go all the way to the docks. If you did it
too early, you will hit the ceiling. Too late and you will jump up just a
little (as she always does) and still hit the ceiling. Timing is crucial. After
hitting the wall, run back to the left to lure the Omega metroid out of hiding.

This guy is the rest of the cake. After he lands, run under his mouth so he can
swipe you. He can do up to 2098 damage. (man he's strong) Watch the little
scene with SA-X doing battle with the metroid. After SA-X reverts back to an X,
grab it while holding B. (to charge your beam). Run back under the mouth and
fire at it's chest along with one more shot. Run left to avoid the claw (It can
do only 100 damage now. This is some strong armor) then run back under and fire
as fast as you can. You should never have to run back again. It is possible to
kill him in under 5 seconds. (Yes I have done it on the GBA) Stand in the
middle of the room after killing him and wait for your ship to beam you up.
Congratulations! You beat the game.

= Final Words =

Remember that the optimal time was discover with an emulator and several save
state. However, I will not count this or any other score received by and
emulator as a high score. Save states and better control put people using a
GameBoy at a very bad disadvantage.

My best time is 1:19. Every one of these strategies have been tested on the GBA
and they all work. You may still be able to beat the optimal time dependin on
how much patience you have and you decide to save less often.
