Universe and the Mystic Wall, this sacred land could never be touched by the

1. MAIN MENU

  A. NEW GAME:
     1. This starts a new game from the start.

  B. PASSWORD:
     1. Upon completing each level, you will get a password. Enter the
        password for each corresponding level to start that level. There
        are NO game saves for this game.

  C. OPTIONS:
     1. Music: Press <A> to toggle between ON and OFF
     2. SFX: Press <A> to toggle between ON and OFF for Sound Effects
     3. Credits:  You can view the credits by selecting this title.
     4. HI-Scores: Press <A> to view the top 10 high scores.


3. PAUSED MENU:
  A. Continue: Select to continue your game
  B. Quit: Let's you exit the game and back to the Title Screen

III. CONTROLS
##############################################################################

1. D-pad:
  A. -> moves He-Man or vehicle to the right
  B. <- moves He-Man or vehicle to the left
  C. <UP> moves He-Man or vehicle up
  D. <DOWN> moves He-Man or vehicle down

2. <A> button - Jump for He-Man or vehicle.

3. <B> button - Attack with sword for He-Man and Fires weapons from vehicle.


4. <RIGHT> button - Block with the sword.

5. <LEFT> button - Hold the <LEFT> button down + D-pad to make He-Man run.

6. <Start> button - Brings you to the PAUSED MENU (see MENUS section).

IV. ITEMS
##############################################################################

1. Shield Orbs: Gives He-Man extra protection against enemies and other dangers
               for a few moments.

2. Shield Shrines: Activate the shrine by hitting it with the sword and you
                  will get the same protection as a Shield Orb. When the
                  shrine recharges, hit it again to regain the same protection.

3. Energy Orbs: Restores some health back to He-Man

4. Energy Shrines: Restores all health back to He-Man, when it recharges, hit
                  it again to receive health again.

5. Damage Orbs: Increases the amount of damage He-man can dish out for a few
               moments.

6. Damage Shrines: Increases the amount of damage He-Man can do, but for a
                  little bit longer than the orb. When it recharges, hit it
                  again to receive the power.

7. Jars & Barrels: Hit it with your sword to unveil items, enemies or nothing.

8. Collectables: Items you are prompted to get to complete a level, such as a
                key or skull, etc.

9. Spinning Orco: Run into this spinning circle to gather objective information.

10. Crystals: Collect them all to get bonus level after you complete the
             mission.

V. ENEMIES
##############################################################################

1. Lightning Trap: Stuns He-Man and he is unable to run or jump.

2. Poison Trap: He-Man takes damage and he is unable to run.

3. Fire Trap: He-Man will be unable to use his sword.

4. Skeleton Minions: Axe-weilding undead enemies.

  a. White Foot Soldiers: Hit them a few times with your sword to defeat.
  b. Gold Brawlers: Like the Foot Soldiers only harder.
  c. Blue Veterans: A little harder than Brawlers.
  d. Purple Champions: The hardest of the Skeleton Minions.

5. Doomseekers: Flying mechanical minions of Tri-Klops.

  a. Gold Doomseekers: Standard, takes more hits than a regular Skeleton enemy.
  b. Blue Doomseekers: Enhanced, the strongest of this type of enemy.

6. Griffins: Flying Minions of Beast Man.

  a. Brown Fighters: Standard
  b. Red Champions: Enhanced

7. Shadow Beasts: Mutant Creatures.

  a. Gray Brawlers: Standard
  b. Blue Veterans: Enhanced
  c. Green Champions: Elite

8. Giant Spiders: Cause Damage and spawn spiderlings when slain.

  a. Red Fighters: Standard
  b. Green Champions: Enhanced

9. Giant Slugs: Blind enemies that locate He-Man through movement, stand still
  and they cannot find He-Man.

  a. Purple Fighters: Standard
  b. Green Champions: Enhanced

10. Bosses

  a. Clawful: The first real boss, covers to avoid attack.
  b. Beast Man: He walks back and forth trying to whip you if he sees you near
                him, when hit, he will jump into the air trying to cause you
                damage when he lands.
  c. Trap-Jaw: He shoots two spheres at you that cause damage. The easiest way
               to defeat him is to run up close and just whack away with your
               sword, it'll take a lot of hits, but you will defeat him while
               not getting hit.
  d. Mer-Man: First you must charge your sword and hit the orbs that float
              around each pond that he shoots you from. There are (4) in all,
              once that is done he will be on land and you can easily beat him
              by getting close and hitting him with your sword repeatedly.

VI. WALKTHROUGH
##############################################################################

          ***************************
          *Mission 1: Save Grayskull*
          ***************************

"HE-MAN, the castle is under attack. You will have to hone your skills on this
first wave of invaders before I give you your next mission"


From the start, go right into the Spinning Orco. You will be told to destroy
the Skeleton Minion Spawn Door. Go left and up a little to get the crystal,
Orco will give you info on them, then go up to find a barrel and smash it with
your sword. Get the crystal and some info on Barrels from Orco, now slash any
Skeleton Minions that are proceeding to the Castle Gate. Grab the crystal that
is located down and to the left of the barrel that you broke and head down,
killing the Skeleton Minions that are heading up. Grab the Damage Orb and mow
down some Skeleton Minions and head down and the left to reach the Skeleton
Minion Spawn Door. Smash the door with your sword and that will stop the
minons from popping out and Orco will have a message for you to save Man-at-
Arms so he can fix the Castle drawbridge. After you scroll through his message,
head back up collecting all the crystals and the Skull Trigger to open the gate
and then jump over to the otherside. Grab the Energy Orb, hear the message from
Orco and then start chopping down the dead tree. Cross over the tree and then
jump to the otherside and collect the crystal, get the Skull Trigger to open
the gate and then go for the barrel. Once you smash the barrel, a enemy will
come out, dispose of him and then grab the Sheild Orb and head up. Go past the
enemies and hit the energy shrine to fill up the ole energy, and then down and
to the left to hit the Damage Shrine. Now down to the Spawn Door and demolish
it and the two enemies and then down past the fire trap to get the crystals.
Now head back up to where the Energy Shrine is and then to the left, start
hitting the wall that is blocking your path. A Gold Brawler will pop out and
you will have to hit him a bunch of times to dispose of him, now go back to
the now recharged Shrines and hit both of them. Head past the now destroyed
walls and hit the Sheild Shrine, now that you are charged up, attack the Doom-
seeker and get rid of him quickly. This will free Man-at-Arms and he will say
that he is on his way back to the Castle to fix the door, you should have 20
crystals now, if you are unsure then press <START> and check in the lower left
corner. Now head back all the way to the beginning and run into the pad where
there is a Spinning Orco Orb, he will give you all the congratulations and tell
you to step on the pad. Do so and you complete Mission 1, then it will show you
your stats for the level along with a password for the level and then it's on
to the bonus level if you collected all 20 crystals.


           ***************************
           *Mission 2: Rescue Cringer*
           ***************************

"CRINGER has disappeared; we fear that he may have been abducted by CLAWFUL.
Rescue him!"

From the start, run into the Spinning Sorceress Orb to gather your mission.
Hit the barrel below and fend off the Doomseeker, and then go up and to the
right to smash the other two barels and grab the crystals. Now defeat the
skeleton minions and work your way to the bottom left to a Energy Shrine and
recoup some energy and fight some more skeleton minions. Make your way over to
right and to a Spawn Door, when you defeat a skeleton minion a Damage Orb will
appear. Grab that and head for that door, with 2 whacks at it, it should be
destroyed and a key and some more crystals will appear. Grab all the items and
get rid of any skeleton minions that are left over from the demolished Spawn
Door and then head upwards. Now unlock the top door and go through and kill the
Doomseeker and grab the Sheild Orb, mow wait for the fire trap to go down and
jump across to the other side. Defeat the Gold Brawler and then grab the Key he
gives up and the crystal, now backtrack all the way back to where you desroyed
the Spawn Door. Along the way, grab the crystals and take a turn back to the
Energy Shrine and hit it to recoup any energy lost, now go down and jump over
to face a doomseeker. Dispose of him, grab the crystal and destroy the rock in
your way. Jump over and hit the Damage Shrine and jump over to defeat the doom-
seeker on the otherside, grabbing the crystals and the shield orb that he drops.
Now get the energy orb down below and then get up to the raised platform to
face another doomseeker. Once you defeat it, he will drop a Damage Orb, pick it
up and head up the stairway to the top of the hill, here you will face CLAWFUL!

BOSS: CLAWFUL

Pretty easy to beat once you get the pattern down. When he is in the middle, he
will bundle up in a ball and can't take damage, but when you turn your back on
him, he attacks you. What you do is wait till he is in the ball and then start
walking back towards the stairs, he will follow you, now turn quickly and press
the <RIGHT> button to block his (2) Claw shots. Now he will walk back to the
center and that is when you give him a swipe with your sword. Do this until
his meter is down and he finally falls. Now grab the crystals and head down the
stairs and then down to the Exit Pad. Before you jump on it, check to see if
you collected all the crystals by pressing <START>, if you missed some, scour
around the level until you get them all and then head into the EXIT PAD.



            *****************************
            *Mission 3: Evergreen Sprint*
            *****************************


"CRYSTAL FLOWERS from the PALACE OF ETERNIA have been lost in the EVERGREEN
Forest. Take BATTLE CAT and retrieve them."


From the start Orco tells you that if you pick up at least (20) Crystal flowers
you will earn an extra life. He also tells you to avoid all obstacles and jump
them if you can and to use your guns to defeat the enemies. This is a really
fast and easy mission, you do not have to get all (25) crystals to get to the
bonus round, because there is no Bonus Round in this mission. The best thing to
do is hold down the <B> button to fire all the time since you will not run out
of beams/bullets. Hang back and collect the crystals and the energy orbs, if
one of the huge tubes gets in your way, press forward and <A> button/Jump over
it. You must press forward to clear the tube, but the other stuff can easily be
jumped. There is a bar at the top of the screen that lets you know how much
distance you have left until the end of the mission. Good Luck.



            ****************************
            *Mission 4: Beast Man Lives*
            ****************************


"BEAST MAN is on the trail. It's time to purge the forestof his evil presence!"


From the start go and listen to Stratos guide you through this level and then
head up and smash the barrel, grab the item or kill the enemy, if it is a red
spider, charge your sword by holding the <B> button and it will be felled in
one shot. Head down and defeat the red spider below with the one shot technique
above, and then grab the items and head for the Griffin. A few charged shots
will kill the griffin, jump over to the other side and head to the right and
charge your sword to fight the green spider. Three charged shots and the green
spider will spawn a red one, kill it and a damage sword should appear and a key
for you to grab and head for the griffin on the other side. One or two shots
when you have the damage orb and the griffin should go down as well, head back
down and collect all the crystals and other items. Now wait for the flame to go
down and walk across to the little ledge and swipe at the griffin that comes by
and don't worry too much about damage, becasue when you jump to the right side,
there is an Energy Shrine. Smash that and then head down to the rock and smash
that with some charged sword shots, and then run and jump down and then to the
left trying to avoid the fire and falling into the water. Note if you fall into
the water, you automatically die*. Once you get over, head down and then smash
some barrels, remember if a spider comes out just one charged shot will kill
it. Defeat the rest of the red spiders and collect all the crystals that you
can, now up to the fire trap and the difficult jump avoiding the water and up
to the Energy Shrine. Hit the shrine and then back over the water, avoid the
fire trap and then head to the Shield Shrine, hit it and then go up the ramp
and around the quicksand that Stratos will warn you about. Now go to the right
and defeat the green spider with three charged shots and then the two red ones
and then over the water and to the key and the other items along with the
Damage Shrine. Hit the shrine and then head back over past the ramp in which
you came up and then hit the green spider, you should have the damage power,
so he should go down in one shot, now defeat the red spider and grab the
crystal that is there. Now up the next ramp and if you need some extra energy,
go to the left and beat the griffin that is between the two fire traps. Then
go past the second trap and get the (2) energy orbs and then back to the right
to face yet another green spider. Defeat the green spider and then the red one
while smashing the barrel in the upper part of the platform, now over the water
collectting the (3) crystals there and on to BEAST MAN...

BOSS:  BEAST MAN

To defeat Beast  Man, the way that I do it, is to charge up the sword and run
to the bottom right part of the screen. While here, Beast Man will ignore you
and walk back and forth doing his own thing. With a charged sword, run and hit
Beast Man while his back is turned, it might be a little cowardly, but what are
you gonna do. He will stop and flash for a second and jump into the air, before
he lands, jump into the air or you will get damage. Continue this for about (5)
times and Beast Man will be defeated!!! Now go towards the Exit Pad and on to
the Bonus Round.



            *************************
            *Mission 5: Man-E-Faces!*
            *************************


"Join forces with MAN-E-FACES to help him counter the invasion of the PALACE OF
ETERNIA"


From the start go right into the spinning Orco symbol to hear what he has to
say, he will tell you that the gates are electrified and will cause you harm.
Smash the barrel and collect the item or defeat the enemy (it's random) and
then up to the blue Shadow Beast to the left. Charge your sword and hit him
with the charged sword and then a regular hit and that should kill him, now go
around the lasered walls and collect the skull which in turn shuts the walls
off. Now charge your sword and go after the spawn door, (3) charged hits should
do the trick, and now defeat the other Blue Shadow Beast. Pick up any items
that the felled beast drops and then grab the key where the door used to be.
Now head to the left and smash the two barrels over that way, grabbing the
crystals and other orbs, and then go down and unlock the door to the leftside.
Go down the stairs and run into the spinning Orco orb and he will tell you that
he is dropping some goodies for you, go back up and collect all the stuff that
he drops for you. After you grap all the things the Orco drops for you, head up
to the upper left part of the screen and smash the barrel, beat the griffin and
then charge your sword and go after the spawn door. Destroy the spwan door and
then beat the blue shadow beast, then grab the key and go back to the beginning
of the level and down the door on the otherside of the door where Orco gave you
all those items. Unlock it and charge your sword again to face the Green Shadow
Beast, defeat him and then jump over to grab another key and then jump again to
find an Energy Shrine, but be careful that you don't fall off the ledges or you
will die. Now head back up and then left, go all the way back to the last spawn
door that you destroyed and then unlock the door. Now keep heading to the left
and smash the barrel to reveal a griffin, defeat it and then continue left to
another barrel and smash it. Pick up the crystal and then charge your sword to
defeat the White Griffin that is roaming below you. Go down and smash some
more barrels to reveal some crystals and a blue shadow beast, disspose of the
beast and then charge your sword to defeat the white griffin below you. Go
through the fire trap and then up and to the left avoiding the gas traps and
the blue beast that is around the spawn door in the upper part of the last
ledge. Charge your sword and attack the spawn door, after you destroy it, get
the blue beast and then collect all the crystals that appearred once the door
was destroyed. Now head down and collect the (2) energy orbs and the skull, the
skull will turn a bridge on that you can cross over when the gas trap has gone
down. Now jump over to the otherside and charge your sword to go after another
spawn door in the upper part, but avoid the green shadow beast or it will just
respawn. After your destroy the spawn door and the green shadow beast, grab all
the crystals and the orbs and then listen to what Orco has to tell you. Now go
back the way that you came in past the gas traps and the fire trap, past the
exit pad and keep going up. Head up until you see the big blackstone statue,
now go down to the right and into the spinning orb. It is King Randor who will
tell you that he was injured while defending the castle and that you need to
defeat the last griffin and then meet up with Man-E-Faces. Grab the skull to
shut the laser wall off and then hop to the ledge to grab the last crystal that
you will need to make it to the bonus round and then over to grab the damage
orb. Now back across and stand between the two small blackstone doorway where
the laser wall once was and wait for the griffin to come your way. After you
defeat it, Man-E-Faces will tell you it's time to go, so head back up and then
go down to the Exit Pad to head to the Bonus Round...


            **************************
            *Mission 6: Queen Marlena*
            **************************

"TRAP-JAW has abducted QUEEN MARLENA! Find him and defeat him!"


From the start, turn around and jump to the platform to grab (3) crystals. Now
jump back across and into the spinning orb to hear a message from Man-At-Arms.
He will tell you that Trap-Jaw has retreated into the dungeons and that he has
taken Queen Marlena hostage, so go save her. Jump across to the next platform
and defeat the shadow beast and the drawbridge will lower. Go across it and
grab the energy orb, and then jump from platform to platform avoiding the fire
trap and defeating the blue shadow beast. Jump down and smash the two barrels
to find a crystal and an enemy, defeat or ignore the enemy and jump back up to
the platform and hit the Energy Shrine. Head up the stairs and then up and to
the left to jump on a series of platforms until you get to a spinning orb, hit
it and Orco will tell you that the skull trigger on the ground is a special
timed one. It will open the door to the upper floor for a short while and then
it will close, so if it closes before you get to it then you must trip the
skull trigger again. Break the barrel and then defeat the enemy or grab the
item, and then time your jump so you don not get hit by the fire trap. Now
defeat the griffin and then over again to the big platform to defeat the blue
shadow beast. Now if you did this fast enough, go up the stairs and trough the
door, but if you didn't, go all the way back to the skull trigger and trip it
again. This time should be easier since there are no enemies to defeat since
you already did that. Now go up the stairs and through the now open gate, hit
the skull trigger and make your way up the next set of stairs killing the
shadow beast that comes down the stairs. Now go to the left and head all the
way until you see a spinning orb where Orco will alert you to another skull
trigger. Hit it and collect the crystals and defeat the enemies, if the gate
closes, just go back and hit the skull trigger and make your way back to it
avoiding the gas traps. Now head up and destroy the spawn door before you go
for the blue shadow beast, after you destroy the door then go after the beast.
Now walk into the spinning orb and Man-At-Arms will let you know that Trap-Jaw
is very close. Hit the skull and go through the door to face Trap-Jaw...

BOSS: TRAP-JAW

He is super easy, he will shoot red spheres at you, but simply avoid them. Get
right next to him and just chop away with your sword until he is defeated. It
is that easy.


            **************************
            *Mission 7: Flying Terror*
            **************************


" TEELA has been abducted! Follow SKELETOR to where she's been taken. RETRIEVE
20 CRYSTAL FLOWERS "


This is another 'Vehicle' level. You will start off flying towards the finish,
occasionally Skeletor will fly in front of you making things a bit difficult.
Just continually shoot by pressing <B> and avoid the rocks and other barriers
that will get in your way. Just concentrate on grabbing the crystals and the
rest is very easy. Like level 3, there is a bar at the top of the screen that
lets you know how far away from the finish you are. Collect the (20) crystals
and you will receive an extra life, if you don't, then you will just progress
to the next level once you finish.


            ****************************
            *Mission 8: Mer-Man Trouble*
            ****************************


" You must make your waythrough what used to be the MYSTIC WALL. It is now
haunted by MER-MAN and his evil pets "


From the start, grab the damage orb and swipe the green spider a few times,
then defeat the (2) spiders that it spawns. Collect the (2) crystals, grab the
shield orb and then defeat the remaining spider. Head down and then to the left
find a spinning orb and Man-At-Arms with some friendly advice. He will warn you
to be careful when crossing what is left of the Mystic Wall because Mer-Man has
sent enemies at you. Keep going the same way and then up to smash the barrel to
grab another crystal, defeat the (2) slugs and head down the ramp to the barrel
below to smash it and grab another crystal. Head to the right and watch out for
the fire trap and defeat the slug to get to an Energy Shrine. Hit it with your
sword to recoup lost energy and then go back the way you came and up the ramp.
Now go to the right and defeat the spider but not the slug just yet, you first
need to destroy the spawn door. After you give the spawn door about (3) charged
shots with your sword, it should be destroyed and a bevy of items appears for
you to grab. Grab all the items and defeat the slug and go back to where you
started the level to get another message form Man-At-Arms. He will let you know
that you are heading the right way, so continue to go up and then right to open
the door with the key you grabbed from the destroyed spawn door. Go through the
door and up to smash a barrel and grab a crystal, now back to the middle and
smash that barrel along with the other (2) barrels in the vacinity. Now go all
the way to the right and go through the fire traps to kill an enemy and hit the
Shield Shrine, now head back and up to defeat the green slug and then up the
ramp to smash the barrels and grab the items or defeat the enemies. Hit the
Shield Shrine and go down the ramp and continue left to face the green spider.
After he is felled, a key and a crystal will appear, grab them and defeat the
red spider, now up to defeat the green spider and collect another key. Now jump
over the low rocks to the right and defeat the red spider and then smash some
barrels to grab an item or fight an enemy and get another crystal. Now jump
back and go through the doors, grab all the items and head back through the
traps to the right and hit the shrine again to power. Unlock the door and
into the spinning orb for yet another important message from your friend
Man-At-Arms. He will be surprised that you made it this far and that Mer-Man is
invicible as long as he is in the water, also that he set up some 'gizmos' to
take care of this little problem.


BOSS: MER-MAN


Immediately Mer-Man will appear along with an orb floating around the water,
charge your sword and avoid the projectiles that Mer-Man shoots at you. Once
the projectile has passed you, run to the orb and strike it with your sword to
make it crash into the water and eliminate the water in that pond. Mer-Man will
disappear and you will have to go to the next pond to do the same thing again.
Head left through the fire trap with a charged sword and hit the next floating
orb while avoiding Mer-Man's blast. Now down and to the next pond, doing the
same thing that you did before and then finally onto the last pond to repeat
the process yet again. After that is done, Man-At-Arms will let you know that
Mer-Man is able to be beaten and that you have to go get him. He should be
easily found, wait for him to fire on you and then get near him and just keep
swiping him with your sword until he goes down. Now Man-At-Arms will once again
pop up and he will congratulate you on your win and let you know that you can
go to Skull Mountain now. Follow the crystals into the Exit Pad only if you
have picked up all (20) crystals, if you haven't, backtrack and find the ones
that you missed the first time


            ****************************
            *Mission 9: Rescue Stratos *
            ****************************

" STRATOS has fallen into TRI-KLOPS' trap. "


From the start, Orco let's you know that this will be a tricky mission, there
are skull triggers that are timed so you have to be fast. Charge your sword and
nail the blue minion, hit him again and he will go down, wait for him to get up
and then nail him agian to destroy him. Grab the items and then charge your
sword to hit the white griffin. Head down and defeat the blue minion and then
keep going to the right and defeat the other blue minion that is between the
lightning trap and the gas trap. Defeat another enemy and grab the key, head
back to the double-door gates and then open them. Charge your sword and jump to
the platform where the white minion is waiting for you, defeat him and collect
another key and then jump back over to collect a ton of crystals and items.
Follow the trail down and unlock the gate, kill the griffin and hit the energy
shrine to re-charge yourself. Smash the barrels and trip the skull trigger, now
run all the way right then up then left then up and then to left through the
gate, you must do this fast or the gate will shut and you will have to go down
and repeat the process all over again. After you are through the gate, head to
the left and defeat an enemy, grab a key, smash some barrels to gain some
crystals and a damage orb. Now unlock the doors and jump across and defeat the
griffin and collect the goods, now trip the skull and jump across and rush to
the top through the downed door to face a blue griffin and a spawn door. Charge
your sword and destroy the spawn door and then the blue griffin, now Orco will
tell you that you are just a jump away, so jump over and save Stratos. He will
thankyou and then all you have to do is run into the Exit Pad...
