Panzer Dragoon Mini (PDM) was released in Japan at the end of the Game Gear's
lifecycle in 1996, and is considered to be a gaming enigma. While it was
liscensed by Sega, no one knows if it was actually produced by Team Andromeda
or not. And though it could never live up to the fame of its Sega Saturn
counterparts, it's a spiffy little shooter, nonetheless, and is good enough to
get it's own (and probably only) walkthrough. If you're wondering where to get
PDM exactly, you can easily find the ROM on the internet, and if you're also
looking for an emulator I suggest using the MEKA, which supports PC
gamepads, and doubles as a Sega Master System Emulator also.

================================================================================
Since there are no cut-scenes, or story interaction at all contained within
this game, you can imagine it would be more than a little difficult to piece
together the storyline to PDM. The only thing for certain is the that game is
comprised of stages from Panzer Dragoon and Panzer Dragoon II Zwei, so I'm
guessing PDM might just be some horribly condensed version of those two games,
but I'm not for certain.

Directional Buttons- Move your dragon. You'd think people would know what
directional buttons do by now, I mean, we've only had video games for 20+
years, right?
A Button- Fires your one and only weapon. Holding it down turns your
crosshairs orange, allowing you to perform a homing attack.
B Button- ^Does the exact same thing.
Start Button- Pauses the game.

================================================================================
There's not much to this game in ways of basics, but uh, here goes.
-The orange bar in the bottom left-hand corner is your health.
-To perform a successful homing attack, sweep your crosshairs over
the enemies (while holding down A...or B, your choice.) you want to
target, then let go.
-That's about it.

Before starting a new game you are asked to pick which dragon you
want to pilot. All three seem to be identical play-wise, and only
differ in appearance.

**NOTE**
By the way, I'm still clueless about a few of the boss names,(I found most
of them on the internet,and I made up the ones I couldn't find), so if anyone
has the correct information, feel free to e-mail me, and you'll be properly
credited.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::STAGE 01:THE OCEAN::
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[SUMMARY]: This level is extremely easy, enemies rarely fire shots at you, and
the boss at the end of the stage is a pushover. You should clear the level
losing little or no health at all.
-MID-BOSS: FLYING FORTRESS
Strafe back and forth firing away, making sure to hit any of the projectiles it
shoots at you. Watch out for the annoying little ship that flies back and forth
occasionally.
-END BOSS: NARAKA CLASS IMPERIAL BATTLE SHIP
Basically the same situation as described above. New look, same taste.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::STAGE 02:THE MOUNTAINS::
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[SUMMARY]: This stage is just a little harder than the first. The ground-based
enemies can prove to be a nuisance.
-MID-BOSS:FLYING FORTRESS II
Same as the first stage, except this time it will scroll across the screen
instead of staying in one place.
-END BOSS:MOBILE TOWER
This thing's a little bit harder. It jumps around constantly, shooting multiple
rounds. Just dodge it's bullets and blast away.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::STAGE 03:THE DESERT::
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[SUMMARY]: This is where things can get pretty ugly. Enemies are in full force,
especially ground forces, and on top of that, the end boss is actually
challenging.
-MID-BOSS: FLYING FORTRESS III
Same as Stage 02.^
-END BOSS: DARK DRAGON
This guy is evil. He fires two different kinds of bullets consecutively, and
once his health gets low he'll begin to strafe quickly across the screen.
You'll need all your skills to beat him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::STAGE 04:THE FOREST::
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[SUMMARY]: It's about here that the game decides to throw in a sudden spike in
difficulty. You'll most likely have to retry this stage a couple of times, but
you should get the hang of it.
-MID-BOSS: FLYING FORTRESS IV
Use the same strategy described above, except increase the difficulty a
couple of times.
-END BOSS: HANUMUNN
Like Dark Dragon, he strafes across the screen quickly, firing both types of
bullets. Hang in there and hammer him with everything you've got.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::STAGE 05:THE OCEAN II::
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[SUMMARY]: This stage is a walk in the park. There are very few enemies, and
after every boss your health is refilled.
-MID-BOSS I: NARAKA CLASS IMPERIAL BATTLE SHIP II
The Flying Fortress has finally been destroyed, and now the Battle Ship has
taken its place. To beat this boss, use the strategy described in level one.
-MID-BOSS II: DARK DRAGON II
Dark Dragon returns, but with your full health bar, he should be easily
destroyed. Use the strategy desribed in level three.
-MID-BOSS III: HANUMUNN II
Another boss that's not half as hard as he was before. Use the strategy
described in level four.
-FINAL BOSS: GUARDIAN DRAGON
The Guardian Dragon is a beast. It can 14 rounds at once, on top of the fact
that regular enemies are constantly flying around during this battle. By now you
should have developed some exceptional flying skills, so evade any projectiles
that come your way and put this guy in his place. After you beat him, you are
rewarded with an ending screen stating 'congraturations', lol, gotta love that
engrish.

In closing I would like to thank Sega and Team Andromeda for
spawning an amazing series that should live on forever, and the internet,
otherwise I wouldn't have learned of this particular game's existence.

This document is (c) copyright 2004-05 to Matt Costanzo. I doubt many
will read this guide anyway, let alone the legal stuff, so lemme just
say, um, stealing is wrong, this FAQ is for private, non-profit use
only, and The Panzer Dragoon series is copyright to it's respective
owners. Lastly, if for some odd reason you want to post this guide
