3) BASIC STORY:

One of the members of the X-Men's mutant team fighting to prevent the battle
between mutants and humanity, Wolverine must confront his past to save his own
life in this console game. Wolverine has found out that he was implanted with
a virus that will take his own life within the next 48 hours. Now he must
confront his past to ensure his future.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Throughout the course of the game, you will be able to find pieces of Cerebro,
which will unlock a character's biography for you to read. There are 16 of
these Cerebro files throughout the game, which this guide will try to help you
find. Remember, these are SPOILERS - which might give away characters in the
game. Do not read if you want to find these pieces yourself)

4) CEREBRO FILES:

1 - Wolverine: (Act 1, Part 2) After passing through the (only) set of
explosives on the level, make a left and start using your sensing to look
around - there should be a comic in the back of the room.

2 - Department H/Weapon X: (Act 1, Part 2) Once you have left the gas chamber,
make a left and continue until you reach a room with one guard protecting a
room (that contains boxes to be broken with health in it). In this area, find
a ladder. Go up the ladder to find a Cerebro file on the history of the Weapon
X program.

3 - Sabretooth: (Act 1, Part 4) Simply beat Sabretooth to get his Cerebro file.
Just pick it up from where was defeated after you win.

4 - The Professor: (Act 1, Part 4) Right before completing the level, you will
come to the circular observation deck. Go to the left and walk up the stairs.
Look for a Cerebro file in this operating room.

5 - Wendigo: (Act 2, Part 5) Just beat Wendigo and you'll get his Cerebro file.

6 - The Void: (Act 3, Part 5) Defeat Sabretooth and he'll leave behind the
Cerebro file.

7 - Colossus: (Act 4, Part 1) Climb up the ladder in the prison's cell area and
look the left to find Colossus' Cerebro file.

8 - Omega Red: (Act 4, Part 4) Upon entering the first big hallway, climb up to
the catwalk and follow it to get Omega Red's Cerebro.

9 - Carol Hines: (Act 4, Part 4) Right before finishing the level, destroy the
crates to get Carol Hines' file.

10 - Doctor Cornelius: (Act 4, Part 4) Just do the same thing you just did for
Carol Hines' file, it should be right next to it using the same method.

11 - Juggernaut: (Act 4, Part 6) Defeat Juggernaut to get his Cerebro file.

12 - May Deuce: (Act 5, Part 1) To the right of the starting point of the
level will be this file.

13 - Magneto: (Act 5, Part 2) Triumph over this foe and pick up his Cerebro.

14 - Mr. Sinister: (Act 6) To the right of the second part of the level.

15 - Apocalypse: (Act 6) Look for this Cerebro file after you jump from the
second platform of the level.

16 - Lady Deathstrike: (Act 6) Get this final Cerebro file for defeating your
final opponent and beating the game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(During the game you will be able to find comic book covers, which will not
allow you to look at the cover itself, but more importantly unlocks a secret
costume that you can wear)

5) COMIC BOOK COVERS:

1 - Ultimate X-Men: (Act 1, Part 1) You will be forced to progress into the
room with 2 guards past the minefield. Go inside the room and then go right
from the entrance. Use your claws to slash your way to find a secret room.
The comic book cover should be right in there, giving you Wolverine's Ultimate
X-Men costume.

2 - Patch Costume: (Act 1, Part 2) After going through the path where you
start the level, you will enter a large room with 4 guards, as well as two
flaming trucks. Run through the 2 trucks (remember to watch your health), to
find Wolverine's "Patch" clothes.

3 - Classic Orange/Tan: (Act 2, Part 1) Near the end of this level, you
will be forced into the compound and up to the control room. The comic will be
out in the open for you to get.

4 - Classic Yellow/Blue: (Act 2, Part 2) Go up the ramp in from the starting
point, and then go into the barracks to the left. Follow it to the end, then
slash a container to blow through the wall. The comic will be right ahead.

5 - X-2 (movie) Costume: (Act 3, Part 3) After meeting the scientist in the
operating room, go to the lower level of the room to get the clothes.

6 - Alex Ross' Outfit:  (Act 4, Part 2) This will be in the first area of the
level, on the back of the ledge.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6) STEALTH KILLS:

Stealth kills are one of the way of earning dog tags, which allow you to expand
your arsenal of "strike" moves to stronger attacks.

Here are some of my tips for newbies to the game trying to use stealth:

- Whenever your in position to use a stealth strike, the word "STRIKE" will
appear on the screen. It will not always last very long (if your enemy is on
the move), so hit "O" fast.

- Pressing L1 up against walls will let you lean on it. This can be used to
stand at the edge of a wall, and will position you to attack around a corner.
- Standing above an enemy will often allow you to jump down to attack them.

- The most common method of stealth you'll have to use is crouching and moving
on all fours. This prevents the guards from hearing any noise that running
would cause. Once you are close to enemy (remember to be quick if the enemy is
moving back and forth), be ready to hit "O" when "STRIKE" flashes across the
screen.
