$ II. Introduction $

This is not really our expertise (Walkthrough writing that is) but we will
give it a try for this game so bear with us. We are just listing possible
ways to complete the missions there is multiple ways to complete some
missions so if our suggestions/answers don't help there is other walkthroughs
for this game you can try to find/get the answer you need from them as each
has it's own point of view. We didn't put any specific strategies for some
fights as there is not that much strategy to it push various buttons until
you daze them and then use one of your combo button moves. I actually liked
the Triangle, Square, X, Triangle one when you get it. I have added a Random
Crimes Section that list most of them. A upgrade section to help those find
upgrades or look at the Locations guide. Both of the sections are located at
the bottom of this guide. We hope you enjoy our guide and that it has helped
you not get so lost on the streets of LA.
This probably won't be updated anymore as it's as complete as it can get.
We may update if there are errors found or we find some new information.

# III. Tips/Answers: #
######################
Before starting just a few tips/answers to questions that are asked many
times on the different Message boards.
1. When you want to do a warning shot hold R2 then press R1.
2. To Flash Badge hold R2 then push Square.
3. To Arrest Perp Hold R2 then push Circle.
4. To Neutralize a Perp use Precision Aim and shoot them in the Arms
or Legs
5. At the start of some missions if you don't push any buttons your car
will continue driving down the streets stopping at red and
going at green lights and changing lanes at times.
5. After headings of missions I’ve put a few quotes on some of them
incase your wondering
6. To Neutralize Shoot outs the ones without hostages just drive up and
Precision Aim from the car and shoot them in the legs.
7. To blow up cars shoot at the gas tank which is normally under the
license plate.
8. To save your game go to a parking garage or any upgrade place. I would
highly recommend this especially if you are going after Gold Dogg Bones
after getting 10 or so because the game will freeze before you get all 30
if you try getting all 30 at once without saving.
9. Use your Siren to make some perps more likely to surrender. It also
works well in traffic sometimes other times it causes cars to actually
get in your way.
10. Don't forget to Arrest perps after beating them up if you fought them.
11. When fighting an opponent hand to hand don't always use the same button
use all of them in different combinations. Some fights you can pick up debri
to fight with but I preferred without anything but fists.
12. Be sure to get all your upgrades before any of the endings to make fights
easier/better.
13. If you have been playing the game for awhile doing random crimes, dogg
bones or upgrades be sure to save every now and then so that your game does
not freeze it tends to freeze after playing an extended amount of time. You
can tell that it may freeze soon when the dispatcher tells you of a random crime
but it freezes right before they start talking for a few seconds.
14. To get into Precision aim Hold down R1.
15. If you fail certain missions and continue story you may or may not get a
different/alternate movie/mission depending on the mission you failed.
26. If you are missing any Bonus upgrade you will need to redo one of those
missions where you got the bonus cruising mission to get into another bonus
cruising mission to get any you missed.
27. Grapple guys with guns to take human shields (like in the Hangar
Showdown Mission)
28. To honk horn use left directional button to Use siren use the right
directional button.
29. Be sure to use a fast car for all the Timed missions to make it easier.
30. You can do free roaming from any of the missions that are listed below
with the objective of Solve Street Crimes (Optional) There is 17 Missions
like this during the game.

"Double the Pleasure, Double the Fun"
Objective: Destroy 10 Targets
1. This one I don't think I need to tell you what to do just push your fire
button rapidly (R1 to fire or R2 to reload on PS2) you need to destroy 10
Targets. You can miss six and still complete the objective.

Mission 2. Rushing To EOD
Objective: Race to Chief's Office
You can use either of these ways (1a. or !b. to get to Eod or make your own.
You need to make it to the green flashing icon. You should make it with
around 40 seconds left on the clock.
1a. From the Starting Position on Olive St. You need to make a U-turn. Go
down (southwest on) Olive St. Turn Left on 7th St. You should be able to see
the green glow the farther you go down the street the EOD it is on Broadway
St. and 7th St. near the corner on the left.
1b. Drive straight Up Olive St. Make a right on 1st St. make a right on
Broadway St. drive straight EOD will be on your right hand side right before
7th. St.

You can use either of these ways (1a. or !b. to get to Eod or make your own.
1a. 7th St. is right in front of turn left to get on it then make a quick
left to get onto Broadway St. go down to 3rd St. and make a left. Make a
left on Gen Thaddeus Kosciuszko St.
1b. 7th St. is right in front of you turn right onto it. Make a right on
Flower St. avoid oncoming traffic and go all the way down just before
3rd St.

2. I don't think I need to explain this one just shoot him until he goes
down I usually shoot the car is in front of him until it blows up (you can
try targeting the gas tank but the target doesn't turn red when there is
no one in the car so just aim for a little below the license plate and it
should blow up if he's close enough it will hurt him or sets him on fire
and besides who doesn't like explosions during gun fights.

If you completed Mission 5 of the First episode you will start on on the
corner of Broadway St. and 7th St. in front of EOD. Use the directions below.
1. Make a Left on 7th St. Go down until San Pedro St.
2. Make a left onto San Pedro St.
3. Your Destination is at the corner of San Pedro St. and 4th St.
If you Failed on Mission 5 of the First episode you will start on Temple St.
or Hill St. (depends on if you don't skip the Movie) Use the directions
below.
(Make a right on Hill St. if you skipped the movie.)
1. Make a left on 4th St.
2. Your Destination is at the corner of San Pedro St. and 4th St.

1. You start on Figueroa St. Go straight You will pass Staples center
keep going until you get to Temple St. and make a Right. The destination
will be on your left after Los Angeles St.
2. If you failed the previous Mission you will start on 8th. St and Wall St.
Go Straight when you get to Los Angeles St. Make a Right. Your destination
will be on the Right at Temple St.

Mission 7. Sneaking In
Objective: Sneak into Warehouse
Use your "Ninja style" stealth to get by this mission.

Objective: Shoot Jimmy's Crew

Mission 9. Finale: Sniper Assassin
Objective: Shoot Sniper
I would recommend for quicker finish to this mission use Precision Aiming
right away and doing a neutralizing shot you can actually get him before he
even fires off one shot if your fast. Otherwise use R2 to get out of
precision aiming to avoid his bullets that he fires and keep trying to get
him with a shot in the arm
Note: Fail this one and Continue Story you will get an Alternate Movie.
If you got 100 percent completion you will get the Bonus Crusin (Story
Intermission)

Episode III: International Ties

Mission 1. Off To Chong's
Objective: Drive to Chong's Residence
Solve Street Crimes (Optional)
I would recommend getting all upgrades you can at this point to make the rest
of the game easier.
If you failed or didn't you still start at the same place Melrose Ave. and
Fairfax Blvd. Make a right on Fairfax Blvd. Left on Santa Monica Blvd. When
Santa Monica Blvd Curves left don't go left instead go straight you will be
on Holloway St. You will enter Hollywood hills The street will turn into
Sunset Blvd. Two blocks ahead you will see your destination between Larrabee
St. and Hilldale Ave. on Sunset Blvd.

Mission 2. Tailing Chong's Limo
Objective: Tail Chong's Limo
Can't help you much here Follow the Limo up Sunset Blvd. until you get to the
destination.

Mission 3. A Stakeout Gone Bad
Objective: Escape Attackers
This may look harder then it appears, but it's very easy to lose them. Drive
Straight on Fairfax Ave. almost immediately on your left is an (alley) iron
fenced in area smash through that fence and go to the other side and smash
through that fence turn right onto Orange Grove Ave. make a left on De
Longpre Ave. Go straight until the mission ends.

Mission 4. Driving To Spa
Objective: Drive to Russian Spa
Solve Street Crimes (Optional)
Depending on what path you took you will start at one of these three places.
1. You start on Melrose Ave. Go straight and make a left on Vista St.
Turn left on Beverly Blvd. and you have reached your destination.
2.You start on San Vincente Blvd. go (northwest) up San Vincente Blvd.
Turn right on Beverly Blvd. Go straight until you pass Vista St. your
Destination is here.
3. You start on Fairfax Blvd. Drive Straight up Fairfax Blvd. Make a
right on Beverly Blvd. The destination is after Vista St.

Mission 5. Spa Infiltration
"You have the right to soak in your own urine"
Objective: Sneak into Russian Spa

Lead them near the yellow barrels and let them hit them and it will blow up in
their face and instant death for them. Just don't get hit yourself by it. You
can also use the Car on the Hydraulic jack just touch it and move back when
they are near it and it will fall on them.

Mission 3. Chasing Francis
Objective: Chase Francis
Get into your vehicle fast. You start on Colorado Ave. Turn right on 4th
He takes random paths just follow him and blow up his car or shoot out
his tires.

Objective: Drive to Dance Club
You start on Beverly Blvd. and Vermont St. Go straight on Beverly Blvd.
Make a right on La Cienega Blvd. Make a right on Sunset Blvd. your
destination is on the right.

Mission 5. Another Way In
Objective: Sneak into Dance Club
Use your "Ninja style" stealth to get by this mission.
Watch out for glass on the ground.

You get to shoot up the place so have at it.

Objective: Race To Cary's Dojo (2:55 Time limit)
Make a U turn right away Go up the New Hampshire Exit of the 101 Freeway
turn so you go with the flow of traffic on this freeway just go down it
quite a ways it will turn into the 5 Freeway get off at the 4th St. Exit
Turn right onto 4th St. Go down this street until San Pedro St. then make
a sharp left. your destination is directly on the left on the corner of 4th and
San Pedro St. you should have a good five or more seconds left.

Mission 8. Finale: Vandal Wrath
Objective: Fight Vandals
Use your various attack combos when they are dazed to take them down
quicker. There is a Sword in one of the corners

you will come to a fork go left to stay on Pico Blvd. Right on Crenshaw Blvd.
Left on Venice Blvd. your destination is right on the corner.

Objective: Drive to Butcher Shop
Solve Street Crimes (Optional)
You start on Holt Ave. Turn right on Olympic Blvd. Make a right on Detroit St.
then a quick left to get back on Olympic Blvd. your destination is on the left
after Hoover St.

Mission 4. Butcher Shop Rush
Objective: Race to Butcher Shop (2:15 Time limit)
You start on Crenshaw Blvd. Go down to Olympic Blvd. (for some reason it doesn't
show the street name but after you pass Pico Blvd. Make a right at the next
bright white lined street on your radar that is Olympic Blvd. your destination is
on the left after Hoover St.

Mission 5. On The Chopping Block
Objective: Fight Triad Butchers
This one i found kind of fun either lead the first two guys over towards one
of those meat displays so they swipe/attack it and it will blow up in their
face be sure to get away from there before they hit it as it will blow up in
your face or when they are dazed try to hit them into one of those displays
it's fun watching things blow up during a fight. Then three more guys will
come out just try to keep them apart and taking down one at a time. One final
guy will come out and take care of him.

Mission 6. Slaughterhouse
Objective: Shoot Triad Butchers
Shoot up the place like normal.

Mission 7. Finale: The Great Escape
Objective: Escape from Triad Goons
You start on Hoover St. You have two options you can try
A. Turn Left on to Park View St. Go all the way down to 7th St. There is a
big open area in front of you get into it from either corner on 7th St. by
breaking through the fence then cross it diagonally Crossing Wilshire Blvd.
into the next big open space and take one of those streets there and you
should have gotten away
B. You can also try this it doesn't work quite as well but Turn Left on to Park
View St. then a left on James M Wood St. then a left on Carondelet then left on
Hoover St. they won't follow you up this alleyway from here go down one of the
streets away from them preferably 10th St. and do some zig zagging through
streets until mission is over.
If neither of these works just be sure NOT to go in a straight line do plenty
of turning left and right.
Episode VI. House of Wu

Mission 1. Off To Wu's Place
Objective: Drive to Destination
Solve Street Crimes (Optional)
You start in front of E.O.D. HQ. Make a U turn and Go (northeast on map
screen) down Broadway St. your destination is after Bernard St. on your left.

Mission 2. Up The Food Chain
Objective: Sneak Into Restaurant
Use those "Ninja style" skills to get through here. Be sure to avoid the
chairs that are near some of the guys.

Mission 3. Kitchen Inspection
Objective: Fight Cooks
Hit these cooks into the Stoves to kill them off quicker just don't get to
close otherwise you will get the damage also. Another pair of cooks will
come out after once you have taken care of them the final guy that comes
out you need to hit into the fire that was created when the stove was hit.
keep hitting him into the fire until he dies.

Mission 4. Seeking Ancient Wu
Objective: Locate Ancient Wu
You should have the Flash Light upgrade by now for your gun so you can see
better in this mission. All you need to do is shoot anything that moves.

Mission 4 (Alternate). Tunnel Vision
Objective: Reach Sewer Exit
I don't think i need to tell you what to do here basically go forward to stay
ahead of the spiked wall and shoot anything that gets in your way.

Mission 5. Inner Demons
Objective: Shoot Wu's Demons
Just shoot the 3 sets of Flaming Demon heads jump out of the way or just move
out of the way when they charge towards you. Then one big flaming Demon head
will come out do the same as you did with the small ones until it's gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 6. Die Die My Concubine

Try to knock them off the edge into the fire for instant death for them
just don't fall in there yourself.

When it is doing it's going around you in it's wavy motion go into precision
Aiming and Shoot at it's head. Avoid getting to close to it when it comes out
to shoot fire at you avoid the fire the best you can and don't get to close
to him otherwise he will slap you with his tail.

You start on Santa Monica Blvd. Make a U-turn so you go (southwest) on Santa
Monica Blvd. Make a left on Rodeo Dr. Make a right on Wilshire Blvd. your
destination is on the left.

Objective: Fight Barkeep
Same as most fights. Just don't use the same button for attacking.

Mission 3. On Rafferty's Tail
Objective: Tail Rafferty
Can't give you much help on this one. Just follow them and keep your arrow on
the right side of the screen in the middle area until you get to the
locations. Watch out for when cars get in front of Rafferty it will slow him
down they also like getting in front of you at times.

Mission 3 (Alternate). FBI Goons
Objective: Fight Fbi Agents
If you have gotten this far I don't think these guys will give you much
trouble.

Mission 4. Escaping the Feds
Objective: Escape From Feds
You can do this one of two ways depending on if your good at precision
aiming by now.
a. Turn Left onto Wilshire Blvd. On your right after Maple Dr. There is a
fenced in empty area you can use to be a bit safer from their bullets then
just shoot them from in here until the car is disabled or blown up then drive
away from them. Or use
b. Speed off down a big street then slam on brakes or back up And shoot them
until their vehicles are disabled.

Mission 5. Rafferty's Date
Objective: Tail Rafferty
Can't give you much help on this one. Just follow them and keep your arrow on
the right side of the screen in the middle area until you get to the
locations. This may take you a few tries as cars seem to love to get in front
of you at times.

You start on Sunset Blvd. Make a U turn and Turn left on Miller Dr./La
Cienega Blvd. to get onto La Cienega Blvd. Go south down it until you get to
Pico Blvd. and make a right onto Pico Blvd. Make a left on Westwood Blvd.
Make a right on National Blvd.
We give two directions here one to get to the objective (a.) and to get to
the dogg bone (b.) since some have had problems finding the first bone in
our Dogg Bone guide.
a. Make a right on Centinela Blvd. Make a left on Ocean Park Blvd. Make a left on
28th St. your destination is directly in front of you.
b. Here we give you added directions to get the dogg bone at the airport From
the instructions above when you are on National blvd.:
Make a left on Centinela Blvd. Make a right on Airport Ave. (To your left
there is a parking lot with a dogg bone in the center of it.) Keep going
down Airport Ave

I enjoyed this shootout the most out of all of them in the game Shoot everyone
with plenty of explosions on the side. Take human shields if you'd like also.

Chase the Jet and shoot all three of it's tires to stop it. Watch out for other
planes on the Runway.

This one is pretty difficult sometimes Use your various attack combos when they
are dazed to take him down quicker. Be sure you have all fighting upgrades for
this fight just to be safe.

Go straight up La Cienega Blvd. Turn right when you get to Sunset Blvd. your

Chase the Limo. This mission took me all of 30 seconds or less to beat just
get close enough to the limo and Precision aim right under it's License Plate
and shoot it until it blows up the car and end of mission.

Make a right onto Centinela Ave. Left on Airport Ave. your destination is
in front of you.

Turn left onto Airport Ave.
Just disable their cars. Your in a bullet-proof truck like duh why are they

Go out of Drive way and turn left on Hayworth St. left on Sawyer St.

This mission is just pitiful in the difficulty department. Best thing to do
is speed down a road slam on brakes let them pass you and shoot their tires
out or just blow them up.

Just shoot everyone.

Cole St. Make a left at Santa Monica Blvd. your destination is directly to
the left.

Objective: Race to Meet Lola
You start on Santa Monica Blvd. Make a U Turn then Go down to Wilton St. Make
a left and go down Wilton St. it turns into Wilton Pl. go down until Melrose
Ave. make a left your destination is in front of you.

Mission 4. The Driving Test
Objective: Race to Destination (Time limit 1:30)
If you start on Burnside Go right on Hauser Ave. If You start on Hauser Ave.
curves left twice then curves right once Turn left on 3rd St. and then make
a right on La Cienega Blvd. your destination is in front of you.

Mission 5. Police Getaway
Objective: Escape Police
You can do this one of two ways the easy way or the hard way:
1. Easier way is Turn Right on Beverly Blvd. (the street you come to right
away) and make a quick right into the parking lot you are safe in here from
them shooting you now just precision aim for their tires when they are in
view from either driveway even blow up their car if you like it won't fail
mission if you blow them up. (don't sit still in here to long as the game
will put you back out on the street if you sit idle).
2. Harder way without shooting at them. Go left on Beverly Blvd. Right on San
Vincente Blvd. Right on Rosewood Ave. Left on Huntley Dr. After you pass
Melrose to your left is an Apartment building right after this building you
will see a parking lot look on your radar you will see an L shaped street/alley
that is part of the parking lot turn left onto that little alleyway/street
cutting over the grass and you will run straight out through an iron fence onto
San Vincente Blvd. You should be able to lose them easier from here since they
don't follow you. Just zig and Zag through streets until the mission is over.

Mission 5 (Alternate). Five Laps
Objective: Beat Lola in Five Laps
Pretty easy just get in your car fast and get ahead of her and stay ahead
of her for five laps. You should try ramming her into a wall or barrel
that usually slows her down some.

Mission 6. Busting Lola
Objective: Fight Lola
Use your various attack combos when they are dazed to take her down
quicker. I'd also recommend trying to stay near here so she won't do
her little cartwheel attack.

Mission 7. Finale: Sniper Redux
Objective: Shoot Sniper
Same as before just a little tougher since he's farther away. Use the
Gaps he creates from shooting at you to shoot back at him from.
Episode V: High-Rise Terror

Mission 1. The Airport Lead
Objective: Drive to Airport
Solve Street Crimes (Optional)
You start on Kincardine Ave. follow it around the curve. Make a right when
you get to National Blvd. Turn right on Venice Blvd. Make a right on Centinela
Ave. Make a left on Airport Ave. your destination is straight ahead.

Mission 2. Chasing Assassins
Objective: Chase Assassins
Just chase them and shoot the guys in the back of the truck then disable
the truck.

Mission 3. A Race Downtown

Stay on the 10 Freeway after you go up the hill take the 110 north ramp on
your right. Keep going on the 110 freeway get off on the 6th Street exit.
Go down to Grand St. make a left your destination is in front of you.

Mission 4. Bank Standoff
Objective: Reach Bank Entry
Take out all commandos be sure to watch out for the one that is holding a
hostage.

Mission 5. Lobby Firefight
Objective: Shoot Terrorists
Pretty easy place just shoot everyone. The guys in the bank teller area
behind the bullet-proof glass shoot them by shooting through the little
teller speaker holes with the metal grating over it.

Mission 5 (Alternate). Going Up
Objective: Reach VIP office
Another shootout mission shoot all the commandos. doing your slow-mo jump
near corners seems to work well here. Be sure to pick up the big guns to take
out the guys faster.
Mission 6. Hostage Crisis
Objective: Reach VIP Office
This part is kind of tough there is many hostage takers watch to make sure
they are not holding a hostage if they are you will need to use Precision
aiming to take them down. They are in the cubicle office areas not in
hallways. There is first aid kits on some of the walls of the cubicle areas

IV. Unlockables
You unlock these by coming in 1st on the Bonus Cruising races and completing
the other upgrades
For these car races all you need to do is have a fast car look at the map
where the finish is and plot a course that will get you there faster then
the other cars. I usually didn't follow the crowd since they usually run
you off the road and cause more trouble in getting by them.

These are found mainly in big parking lots with a few exception. They look
like a 3D Gold Dog Bone floating off of the ground.
Once you have collected all of the Dogg Bones you will Unlock (Snoop Dogg)

driving around to give you an idea on the variety of random crimes. I'm

arrest those that give up.
