I dedicate this to all the gamers who have had the honour to have played
through the Zelda games right from the start. You know that no matter what
the game looks like, it is still the greatest series of games ever made!
Also, for Cougar, Howler, and Koonce. I miss you, and I hope you are living
it up in the afterlife as you did in this world. You will always be in my
memories, and you will never be forgotten.

1) This is a first for me, as I have never wrote on a game that was just
released. I hope all of you can bear with me as I find out all the secrets
I can that are in the game, and I hope that this FAQ will help you out as
well. I hope that everyone can play this game with an open mind, and not
just judge it based on the presentation of Link with the cell-shaded
graphics. Enjoy this FAQ, as I put hard work into it so you may all have a
leg up on the enemies!

2) The following story is taken from the game, and is in no way the work of
Brian P. Sulpher.
Long ago, there existed a kingdom where a golden power lay hidden. One day, a
man of great evil found this power and took it for himself, and with it at his
command, he spread darkness across the kingdom. But then... just as all hope
had died, a young boy clothed in green appeared as if from nowhere. Wielding a
blade that repelled evil, he sealed the dark one away and gave the land light.
This boy, who traveled through time to save the land, was known as the Hero of
Time. The boy's tale was passed down through generations until it became
legend.
And then a day came when a fell wind began to blow across the kingdom, and the
great evil once again crept forth from the depths of the earth. The people
believed that the Hero of Time would again come to save them. But the hero did
not appear...
What became of that kingdom...? None remain who know. The memory of the kingdom
vanished, but its legend survived on the wind's breath.
On a certain island, it became customary to garb young boys in green when they
come of age. Clothed in the green of fields, they aspire to find heroic blades
and cast evil down. The elders wish only for the youths to know courage like
the hero of legend...

6) The following section will give you the step-by-step path towards the end of
the game. Keep in mind that the walkthrough will cover the minimal amount
of things relevant to the game, and at any time you can go exploring for
Items such as Treasure Charts, Pieces of Heart, and also doing games and
sidequests (All of which will be covered in appendices sections).
o---------------o
Outset Island
o---------------o
The game opens with a girl running around, and this would be Link's sister
Aryll. She will find Link sleeping on a high platform to tell him to go see
Grandma as it is his birthday today!
Link should go down the ladder to the dock, run to shore, and then follow the
coastline to the right to start across a bridge. When you see a fellow sitting
there looking at some Rupees sitting on a rock, run off the dock to jump across
the rocks to get a Blue Rupee (worth 5) and a Yellow Rupee (worth 10) before
jumping back to the bridge. Continue across the bridge to head for the house
near the big cliff wall (it should be the last house you can walk to).
Grandma awaits you inside, so talk to her upstairs to receive your green
clothes as you are old enough, and then she will ask you to go find Aryll.
Head back outside to re-trace your steps to the lookout spot, and talk to her
to receive your present from her (the Looking Glass!). Equip it on one the
three Item Buttons, look towards Grandma's house, and you will see the mail
being picked up. Right after this, a huge bird will fly by carrying a girl in
it's claws with a pirate ship lobbing cannonballs at it. The Bird will be
struck causing it to drop the girl into the forest high atop the island!
Aryll will suggest you get a weapon, so head back down the ladder, up the dock,
right along the shoreline, and then across the bridge. Go into the house on
the left through the door on ground level to train with Orca on swordplay, and
he will allow Link to keep the sword once he finished the training. Now head
across the bridge again, but keep going forward instead of heading left until
you find a path. Follow the path to get to a spot where trees block the way,
and you should cut them down before running up the path to the bridge. Now run
across the bridge so you will clear the gap, and then enter the forest!
Head straight ahead to an open glen where an enemy will attack! Use L
Targeting and your sword techniques Orca taught you to destroy the enemy, and
then crawl through the log to find a Red Rupee (worth 20). Now continue along
the path to pass a large rock formation to climb up a sloped log, and then
fight two more of the same enemy you already dispatched (try to get rid of one
quickly so the other will be easier to kill). This will cause the girl to fall
from the tree, followed by her ship mates coming in to find her.
The scene will go outside where Aryll greets her brother, followed by that same
giant bird taking Aryll! Link nearly falls off the cliff, but is saved by the
girl (we know her name is Tetra now). Link wants to accompany the pirates, but
they laugh at his request until the mail birdman from earlier sets them
straight so they will take him, but only if he has a decent shield. Link
should then head for Grandma's house to get the shield from the wall, but it
will be gone when he goes to find it! Head down tot he bottom floor to talk to
Grandma who has the shield and asks you to rescue Aryll!
You have the option of a few more Rupee collections (one Yellow Rupee from a
tree enclosed area and one from the house by the tall grass) before you head
back to Tetra to get aboard the Pirate Ship to set sail!
o-------------o
Pirate Ship
o-------------o
When you appear on deck of the ship, talk to Tetra to learn that you should go
see Niko until they reach the Forsaken Fortress. Turn around and head for the
door to go below decks to find Niko. When you appear inside, go down the
stairs in front of Link, turn at the bottom before the door ahead and roll into
each wall to get two Green Rupees each time, and then go through the door ahead
to talk to Niko.
Niko will challenge Link to go across some platforms by using set-up ropes to
get to a Treasure Chest. Run off the ledges towards the ropes to grab them,
press UP and DOWN on Analog Stick at proper times to build speed, and then
press the A Button to release to the next platform when you are close enough to
it. Just remember that you have a time limit to accomplish this in, so be
accurate as you go!
Once you are successful, Link will get the Spoils Bag, which he uses to keep
things he wins from enemies in. Tetra will yell down that they have reached
the Forsaken Fortress, so bust the barrels in the room for Green Rupees before
heading back above decks, and then climb the ladder to the Crow's Nest to find
Tetra.
Forsaken Fortress is a formidable abode with spotlights all over the place!
Tetra realizes that there is no way the ship could get close enough to land
without being spotted (and likely sunk as well), so she comes up with a plan of
catapulting Link into the fortress in a barrel (really, this is the plan!).
Link will smash against a wall, losing his sword (it falls to a lower ledge)
before plummeting to the water below (even lower than his sword is located!
o-------------------o
Forsaken Fortress
o-------------------o
After you take about a step, Tetra contacts you through a Pirate's Charm she
slipped into your pocket (Press the A Button when prompted to do so to receive
advice). After climbing the first set of stairs, grab a barrel to put it over
your head, and then head up the stairs to the ledge where the spotlights are
scanning. Collect the various Rupees in the area if you like, but your main
goal is to just go up the stairs immediately to your right upon going to the
light-patrolled area.
When you arrive up top, go through the arches ahead and go right to enter the
door you see (lose the barrel to do so). In this room you need to use the
hanging lamp to swing across to get the Dungeon Map from the Treasure Chest,
followed by jumping to the floor below. Go to the barrel collection in the
corner, move them out of the way, and then hit the switch to open the door to
the barred-in area to find a Treasure Chest with a Piece of Heart!
Now head up the doorway in the far left corner of the room (from the cell), and
then purposely get caught to be thrown in jail. Use the table to jump to the
bookshelf, followed by smashing the pot to find a small path for Link to crawl
through. He will appear above a ramp, which you will run down to see the
Dungeon Map Treasure Chest! Use the lamp to get across the gap, and then head
through the door on your left.
When you appear, turn left to go outside, where tetra will tell you to use your
Shield on the monster's weapon that is running the searchlight and you may be
able to make it drop it's weapon (meaning you could grab it). Continue to the
ladder, climb it, and then do battle with the baddie running the spotlight to
cause the spotlights to become useless. Now face the ladder you climbed up and
then jump down to the ledge below to run across to the ladder ahead to repeat
the procedure on the enemy at these spotlights.
Go back down the ladder to follow the sloping path back to the hallways with
the arches, this time going through the door on the left to find a Treasure
Chest with the Compass inside. Use the lamp to swing across the gap, go
through the door, and then run up the ramp until a ladder appears on your
right. Climb it to battle the spotlight operator to remove the threat of
spotlight detection from your worries. Head back down to the ramp and back
through the arch to turn left and go to the door at the end of the hall.
Use the lamp to swing across the gap to go through the door ahead to arrive
outside, where Link can go right to push the box off the platform to the level
below so he can collect all the Rupees that he missed before (and then position
box to climb up to the ladder again). Walk around the ledges here to receive
the message that Link needs to get to the room below the tower to find his way
into it! Now head straight ahead through the door.
Enemies patrol in here, so grab the barrel to walk towards the enemy, stopping
when they draw close. Head to the stairs you can see to go through the door to
be outside again, and hike up the three flights of stairs to grab the barrel
sitting at the top. Now head across the walkway slowly, stopping whenever an
enemy is close to spotting Link, and then head up the slope to find a ledge
that requires Link to slide along to reach the other side.
Once you reach the other side, repeat the procedure across another narrow ledge
before climbing stairs to find your Hero's Sword! However, spikes will shoot
up behind Link, causing an alarm to sound, which brings the enemies running!
Get the Hero's Sword first, and then dispatch the enemy to cause the barred
door to be open for Link to enter!
You will see Aryll and be extremely happy, but that vicious bird cuts the trip
short as it grabs Link, shows him to a mysterious man before sending Link far
into the horizon with a might heave! Link will wake up on board a talking boat
named the King Of Red Lions! He reveals that the mysterious stranger is the
same Ganon of legend that commands great darkness! The boat needs a sail
before Link can start his preparations to fight Ganon, so he needs to buy one
from this island he is on first! Run up the beach to enter the island!
o-----------------o
Windfall Island
o-----------------o
Head up the hill to go left through a stone arch, and then head up the stairs
past the boy and the two women to the counter where a man wears a parka. He
will sell Link a Boat Sail for 80 Rupees, so now Link should continue up the
stairs to find a group of four children that clue Link on how to find the
stolen Picto Box, and then enter the school (a chalkboard outside the door).
Tell the teacher you will round up the four delinquent boys for her to teach
joy to, and head outside to go behind the Picto Shop (the place that the Picto
Box was stolen from) to enter a door where Tingle the wannabe fairy is jailed.
Bust the vases on the left side of the room to access a switch, step on it, and
then talk to Tingle to receive the Tingle Tuner and the Tingle's Chart. The
Tuner allows Link to call Tingle through a Gameboy Advance (for a fee) for help
and the chart is a map of the way to Tingle's Island!
Now enter his jail cell, drag the box to one side, and enter the small passage.
Then go in the following directions at the intersections: right, left,
straight, right, left, straight, left, and then three rights to find a room
with the Picto Box! Now backtrack along the path, leave the jail, and then go
into the Picto Box Shop to see some neat pictographs as well as become the
man's assistant! He commands you to catch a man sending love letters to a
non-receptive source, so go outside, carefully follow the grumpy man down the
long sloping hill to the mail box below, and snap a photo of him sending the
letter (be sure to get him and the mailbox in the shot)!
Return to the Picto Shop, give the pictograph, and then get your second task is
to get a pictograph of the most cowardly resident on the island! To find him,
go left down the stairs and then up the stairs across the way to enter the
coffee shop. Now grab a pot, throw it at the man at the table, and snap a
Picto before returning to the shop to give the Picto to the man. He will then
charge Link with finding two timid people who love one another, they just do
not know the other feels the same!
To find them, simply head across the path to see the woman in the orange dress.
Set up on the stone steps to her left and wait for a man to walk by. When they
glance at one another, snap a photo before returning to the Picto Shop to
receive a Joy Pendant!
Now head outside to talk to the children again, this time they will want to
hide while you find them (if this does not work, talk to the teacher again
before trying it). Now you have to find them and catch them to make them
return to school, so off we go!
Head behind the Picto Shop, go behind the stone by the dancing fellow, and then
chase down the runner [one]. Go past the School on the path to the left to
find a child hiding behind a bush [two]. Now head to the Bomb Shop, go around
the side of it, slide along the wall, and then chase him till you get him
[three]. Now head near the old man who probably accosted you earlier, roll
into the tree to knock a kid out, and then chase him down [four]. They will
give Link a Piece of Heart for his troubles, and then go to the school to
apologize for them to Mrs. Marie to receive a Purple Rupee (worth 50).
Now Link is ready to head out to the open sea, so go back to the boat, and use
your Boat Sail to head out into the world!
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
You can do nothing really right now except follow the wind towards the large
spire island off in the distance. Going between the raised flags will make
Rupees appear briefly above water, giving something for Link to do on the way
to the island. When you draw near, the King Of Red Lions will deposit Link
onto...
o---------------------o
Dragon Roost Island
o---------------------o
Valoo the Dragon awaits Link at the summit to give him a jewel called Din's
Pearl. The Rito Tribe will know how to find the dragon, so seek them out!
Link will also receive the Wind Waker, a baton that allows Link to channel the
power of the gods! After taking a brief lesson, you are ready to head out on
your way!
Go left to find explosive fruit, which can be used to blow apart rocks blocking
your path (just be sure to not hold the fruit too long or get damaged from the
explosions!). Take a Bomb Fruit to blow open the rock in your path, and then
continue along the path till you see a broken bridge. Grab the Bomb Fruit, run
up the path, and throw at the rock above Link to blow it apart. Now continue
along to slide along the narrow ledge to get a Blue Rupee (worth 5) before
dropping carefully to the ledge below. Use the Fruit to blow the rock out of
your way before heading across the path and up an incline to find the bird
mailman standing there!
He recognizes you and realizes that he should help, so he flies ahead to get
his chieftain ready to greet you! Continue up the path and through the cave
opening to meet the chieftain!
The chieftain offers his tribe's full assistance, but only after they solve the
riddle of Valoo's odd behaviour. However, while they do this, link is offered
the job of helping the chieftain out by meeting with his son. He wants you to
find Medli to get a gift she has for the son, so that is your goal. Quill will
then give you his Delivery Bag and tell you to seek Medli in the upper rooms so
you can help Prince Komali.
Run up the slope on the side of the large area, and go left through the first
door you see to find Medli. She will give you a letter from the chieftain to
Prince Komali, so grab it and promise to meet Medli outside the entrance of
Dragon Roost Cavern later.
Jump straight off the ledge, turn around, and then follow the corridor to
Prince Komali's room. Deliver the letter to Komali, and he will be mad at you
for messing with his business. Talk to him again to learn that he has Din's
Pearl, which he will not give up to you unless you can find someone to get past
the obstacles blocking the way to Valoo.
Go out of the Prince's room, up the corridor, and then left pass the guard to
go into the hot and dry entrance to Dragon's Roost Cavern. jump to the lower
level, talk to Medli, who wants to help out the problem by going up to a shrine
on the mountain. She needs you to throw her up to the ledge high above, so do
so when the wind is coming from behind the way you wish to throw (also go far
back from the ledge to the elevated rock surface so she can flap her way up to
the ledge).
For his efforts, Link receives an Empty Bottle, as well as orders to be quiet
about her going up the mountain. Go back towards the rock to use the broken
bridge to climb out of the hole and head back inside to the Rito's home. Quill
is standing by the entrance, and he reveals that someone fitting Medli's
appearance was grabbed on the mountain! Head out of the main exit and hike
back down to the starting area (or you can jump off the rail by the exit to
land down on a beach). Head through the cave to swim across the water to the
island, and copy the song you see with your Wind Waker to learn the Wind
Requiem!
Zephos will suddenly appear, who is the God of Winds, warns you that his
brother Cyclos will create trouble for you with Cyclones in the future, so be
ready for it. Head back up to cave of the Rito tribe, go right towards the
entrance to Dragon's Roost Cavern, and then hop down to the pond below to use
your Bottle on the water. Climb back up to the high ledge and water the
withered Bomb Flowers so it will bear explosive fruit!
Throw the Bomb Flowers down at the huge boulder blocking the water to cause the
pond to refill, allowing Link to swim across to the far side! Throw a Bomb
Flower into the vase of the statue on the right to cause it to crash to the
ground, and then do the same for the left statue. Now cross the lava pool to
go up the steps to enter...
o---------------------o
Dragon Roost Cavern
o---------------------o
Start off by pulling the left statue away from the wall, the middle statute to
the left, and then walk through the opening. Fight the two enemies on the
floor before picking up one of their fallen weapons. Run over to the torch on
the right of the room, light the weapon, and then go to the left side to light
the braziers to reveal a treasure Chest containing a Small Key. Go through the
locked door with this Key.
In the next room, jump off the table on the right at the door to do an in-air
slice to break the boards open. Walk left to start hopping across the broken
path to land on a lower ledge, pull the brick out, climb onto it, and then
continue along the broken path. Wait for the fire pillar to stop, jump the
gap, and go onto the bridge where a couple Keeses (bats) will attack Link. Use
the Bomb Flowers on the rock across the smaller bridge to pass through the door
behind it.
Pick up one of the large jars (water will splash out the top when you move),
throw it into the lava pool on the left side, and hop across the resulting
temporary hard surface to reach the Treasure Chest that contains the Dungeon
Map! Now use another water jar to create a jump to the next ledge, where you
need to climb the ladder and go through the door.
Walk towards the boarded doorway straight ahead of Link to have an enemy crash
through it! Kill the enemy, pick up it's blade, and use it to break the barred
doorway to the right. Now go towards the torches on the higher ledge, back off
to let the red enemies hop to your level, and then defeat them. Go up to the
higher level, break the wood away, and grab the Small Key from the Chest before
heading back towards the door we passed earlier to fight two more red enemies
(head through the door once you wipe them out).
Throw a rock or pot into one of the Bomb Flowers on the wall to remove the rock
blocking your path, and then head across the path to return to a previous area.
his time you have to go left to the locked door you passed earlier to move into
a new area of the level.
After killing for more red enemies (Red Chus), go to the left side of the room
to have an enemy come at you, kill it, pick up the resulting stick, and use the
lit brazier to set the stick on fire so you can burn the boards down on the
right. Hit the switch inside this cubby, followed by going through the door to
arrive outside!
Go across the bridge to fight the enemy before Link climbs the ladder to fight
a bird. Next you will need to slide across the narrow ledge ahead in between
lava streams from the wall, followed by walking around the rock to find narrow
ledge. However, to do this area properly, you need to hop up and grab the
ledge, BUT then move left across the hole before pulling Link up to safety. Go
up to the Bomb Flower, pluck it, and then go along the wooden ledge to throw
the Bomb Flower to the big rock to destroy it.
Go through the door to find blocks stacked up, so pull out a block from the
center stack as well as the left stack OR right stack, followed by climbing
through the resulting opening. Pull the block from the wall, climb up to the
top, get the Compass from the Treasure Chest, and then bust the vase with the
sticks inside. Pick one up, light it on the brazier, and then go to the edge
of the ledge facing the barred off doorway, and chuck the lit stick through the
air to burn the blocking wood away. Go up the ladder to grab the Small Key
from the Treasure Chest before heading through the locked door to the next
room.
Head right to jump up the stairs to arrive at a locked door, so turn left to
kill the bird to win a Small Key (get it from the nest) so Link can pass
through the locked door. Bust the vases with sticks, pick one up to light it
on the brazier, and then go light the torch in the next room before killing
the multiple Keeses. Grab the Joy Pendant from the Treasure Chest, relight
your stick, burn down the boarded entrance to the right, and then go continue
down the path through there to light the next two torches to open the barred
door.
In this room you can use the Bomb Flower to blow the rock off the top of the
cauldron on the left to warp back to the start of the dungeon if you want to
leave the dungeon. Otherwise, head across the bridge to go through the door.
The door bars behind Link, so fight the bad guy, bust the jars till another
baddie appears, and then ill him and pluck his stick from the ground. Light
the stick to light the burnt out brazier, and then open the treasure Chest to
get a Treasure Chart! Climb the ladder, roll into the wall underneath the
shelf to drop the jar, bust it, and then jump off the end of the platform to
bust the jar on another shelf to reveal an enemy! Kill it off to open the
barred doors before exiting through the door above the ladder.
Grab a water jar from the right, throw it at the fire centipede enemy, followed
by much slicing of it to kill it. Now go get another water jar, jump to the
island, throw the water jar where the fire pillar shoots up (while it is not
shooting), and then get on the platform to ride up on the fire pillar so Link
can jump to the ledge on the right.
Now go through the door to arrive in a room where you will need to use the Bomb
Flower to the right for removing two rocks (one uncovers a cauldron, one a
door). Head through the door for now.
Run up the stairs to the right quickly as the steps fall away, and enter the
gate to be suddenly locked in! You will have to fight two sword bearing
enemies, followed by a spear using enemy (use a pot on him while L Targeting
for an easy kill), which causes the jail to open, releasing Medli! She will
explain why Valoo is so mad, and she will also give Link the Grappling Hook to
help him out!
Now Link needs to grapple his way across the path shown by Medli, followed by
breaking through the shabby wood to land near the door you came out of, but you
will instead grapple across three gaps to enter a different door!
Defeat both enemies to make a chest appear, cut the ropes on the bridge, and
use Link's weight to send it crashing down so Link can get the Joy Pendant from
the Treasure Chest. Now head through the door across the path.
Walk to the right into the cage, use a spinning attack to cut all the ropes
quickly, and then jump to the small doorway. Now hop across the small gaps to
find and climb a ladder before facing out at the bridge you crossed earlier,
followed by using the Grappling Hook to pull the switch in the roof to open the
barred door. Head through the door quickly before the Keeses can hit you.
Use your Grappling Hook, hold the R Button to stop your swing, adjust your aim
for the side passage, and then get your momentum back until you can jump to the
side passage. Jump across the platforms, Grapple across the lava to go through
the door.
Stun a fire centipede, pick it up, and then lay it on the switch to lower the
fire around the Treasure Chest. Open the Chest to get the Big key, which
allows Link to enter the bosses lair!
Now you need to backtrack all the way to the room where you cut the bridge
down, and you then grab a water jar, walk across the narrow path, and set the
jar down in the lava pool over the fire pillar spot (when it is not shooting
upwards). Ride the resulting platform up so you can take the door outside,
followed by grappling back to the door into the room where the locked door to
the boss it found.
Go towards the lava pool, use the Grappling Hook, and then cross the lava pool
to kill the fire centipede enemy while emptying the two Treasure Chests for a
Yellow Rupee and a Knight's Crest. Break the two jars at the very top to get
two fairies (use a bottle to catch one if you can), and then go through the big
door to the BOSS FIGHT!
When you walk forward, a monstrous foe will appear! You will need to use your
Grappling Hook on Valoo's tail to swing across the lava pool over the boss,
causing the ceiling to fall onto Gohma. Do this a total of three times to
completely shatter the armor, which gives Link the chance he needs to destroy
Gohma. Now use L Targeting and the Grappling Hook to the monster's eye to stun
it, followed by repeated sword swipes. Repeat as necessary until Gohma dies,
collect your Heart Container, and then take the warp to end up at...
At the bottom of the island! Medli and Prince Komali greet Link, and Prince
Komali turns the Din's pearl over to Link! After being reminded to visit the
Wind Temple, go to the Shop Ship to buy a Bait Bag and some Bait before heading
for your ship to head out again into the world. However, you must first change
the direction of the wind to the South before you can set sail.
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Set sail to the south, but a fish will stop you in your tracks to talk to you.
It will fix your sea chart for Dragon Roost island, tell you of a secret cave,
but you need to be able to fly to get to it. He also says his fish brethren
will assist Link if he gives them bait by which they will improve Link's Sea
Charts for him. Once the fish takes off, it is time to continue sailing South
to find the next Island you need to go to.
Be sure to dodge the cyclones in the sea on your route, and do not be afraid to
stop at any small islands you see to do some exploring. Continue due south to
arrive at...
o--------------o
Forest Haven
o--------------o
Here is where you must seek out the earth spirit known as the Great Deku Tree
to find Farore's Pearl. Make your way up the path, fighting the vicious plants
by cutting them off at their stems, and then use your Grappling Hook to land on
the small ledge between the fast flowing water (watch out for the Octorok shots
coming your way).
Jump across the water to battle another plant before hopping to the next
platform to L target the Octorok and hold the R Button so you can bounce it's
own shot back at it to kill it. Go up the ledges, draw your sword, hold the R
Button to send the Octorok packing, and then Grapple Hook to the top water area
before entering the cave.
Head right to climb up the water path until you see a face on a tree that
appears to be infested by Red Chus and Green Chus. Roll into the base of the
tree to knock them off, followed by beating them into a fine Chu Jelly. If you
take too long, they move back onto the tree, so repeat all the steps until the
Chus are dead.
The tree will begin to speak to Link in an ancient language because of the
clothes he wears (Hero clothes), and then he will bring the Koroks (children of
the Wood) out for Link to meet. Once they perform their ceremony, Link will be
able to get Farore's Pearl. Naturally, something goes wrong, causing Link to
have to go to the Forbidden Woods to rescue Makar (a Korok) that fell in. The
Great Deku Tree will then grow a leaf for Link to use, but Link must now climb
the tree to get it!
Go left of the tree to see a flower pod on the ground, which you will walk
into. Now aim and launch your way up the set of four, and out of the last one
aim for the canopy of leaves you can see. Now grapple off the canopy towards
the next flower pod, and then go through the set of five to land on the canopy
of leaves where the Deku Leaf awaits Link! Now equip the Deku Leaf, walk off
the branch towards the ledge, and then use the Deku Leaf to float to the exit!
Go outside to realize that the wind does not blow in your favour, so use the
Wind Waker to change the winds direction to blow towards the island! Now hop
off the ledge to use the Deku Leaf as you ride the southwest wind to the
plateau. Cut grass until you refill your Magic Meter, play the Wind Waker to
change the wind to a northwest direction, and then jump off the ledge towards
the spinning cyclone to use the updraft it provides to fly higher into the air.
Glide towards the entrance of the Forbidden Woods to start your search.
o-----------------o
Forbidden Woods
o-----------------o
Head up the path to the right, fight the Green Chus, collect the Dungeon Map,
and then jump off the path to fight more Green Chus below. Cut across the path
leading to the door and turn right, and kill off any more Green Chus you see.
Grab the big nut and walk towards the vine covered door to throw the nut off it
as many times as needed to break the vines off.
Head through the door to jump down to fight some plants before going forward to
kill some Green Chus. Now find a leftover stick from one of the plants, light
it off of a brazier, and burn the plant guarding the Knight's Crest in the
Treasure Chest. Now go back to the far end of the room to launch link in a
Flower Bud to launch to the next Flower Bud, followed by launching towards the
far off one, courtesy of a Deku leaf float. Now launch for the Flower Bud on
the broad roof (the home to the Knight's Crest), use the Flower Bud here to go
to the Flower Bud on the higher spot to your left (looking back towards the
entrance), and then launch to your right to get into another Flower Bud (using
the Deku Leaf each time between launches to reach the far away platforms). Now
launch to the area near the door, fight the Green Chus, grab the Bomb Flower,
and use it to clear the vines off the door so you may pass through.
Turn left to use the Deku Leaf to use air on the contraption to cause the
platform to move to your side, so get on before hitting the same one with an
air blast to go somewhat across the gap before having to hit the other one with
an air blast to go the rest of the way across to go through the door.
Use the Deku Leaf to lower the defenses of the flying enemies to kill them and
kill the plants before using a Bud Flower to launch to another Bud Flower which
will land link by the vined-off door. Now Link needs to fan the object on
the side to bring the platform to him, followed by getting on and fanning the
object again to cross the gap. Bust the wood, take the Nut back to the
platform, lay it down (Using the R Button), fan your way across the gap,
pick-up the Nut, and break the vines to head through the door.
In this room, use the Deku Leaf to fan the Nut off of it's perch, walk around
the thorny vines, and then use the Nut to break the vines on the door to head
to the next room.
Go right to use your Grappling Hook to get to the next platform, followed by
Link hopping across the two moving platforms to land by the locked door and
Nut. Take the Nut as you jump to the center platform, head right to jump off
the platform to break the vines on the door, and go fight the black spiked
creatures to get a Yellow Rupee before going through the far door.
Walk carefully forward through the spaces the thorny vines do not pop out of,
use the Flower Bomb to blow the wood open on the space to it's right, and then
open the Treasure Chest to get the Compass. Now go back to the Bomb Flower,
run back towards the cubby you were just in, and toss the Flower Bomb over the
thorny vines to blow open another cubby hole. Now retreat back to the start,
find a path to the right, and then maneuver through it until you arrive at the
cubby hole to collect a Small Key! Now use the Flower Bud to go after a Joy
Pendant and some Rupees (with help from the Deku leaf) before backtracking to
the room with the hanging platform (where you will use the Small Key on the
locked door).
Use your Deku Leaf to keep the flying enemy at bay as well as to call the
platform, followed by riding it to the far side to pass through the door.
Destroy all the enemies on the ground before using a Bud Flower to launch Link
to the canopy of leaves above. Now go to the next Flower Bud, launch to the
highest canopy lair, where Link should go through the open door.
Link will enter the room to be barred in, and he ahs to face a giant Moth in
battle! Use the Deku leaf while L Targeting to knock the moth down to earth,
and then slice it before it takes off again. Repeat this until you cut both
wings off, and then slice the bottom half of the bug to kill it. Now go
through the opened door to the Treasure Chest to get a Boomerang! Equip this
weapon, hold down the Button it is set to look around, and highlight both of
the white orbs above the still-barred exit to return to the last room.
Go left to use the Boomerang to break both blooms on the door to proceed
through.
Use the Boomerang to cut down the hanging, spiked plants before using the Deku
Leaf when link jumps off the platform to float to the far side to open a
Treasure Chest to find a Joy Pendant. Now head through the door to the next
room.
Use the Boomerang to target all five vines holding the flower platform below in
air to cut it so it falls down. Jump off of the ledge to go through the hole
below, but use the Deku Leaf before Link goes splat from the huge fall to avoid
damage. Go through the door to the next room.
Use the Boomerang to clear all the black spiked enemies off the logs (not too
mention the annoying flying enemy), and then hop across the stumps to the right
to fight Green Chus, and then use your Boomerang to temporarily rid yourself of
the attacking vines so you can head through the door ahead.
Use the Boomerang to cut the four vines holding the flower up, jump down, use
your shield to make the Octorok eat it's own attack, and then jump to the Bomb
Flower to pick it up and run back tot he flower to throw it at the boarded up
cubby hole on the opposite side of the room. Now go through the door there to
enter the next room.
Use the Boomerang on the flying enemies as they close so you can kill them off,
and then hop across the stumps to kill the plant enemy. Now use the Boomerang
to kill the spiked enemies before killing another plant enemy, and then use
the Flower bud to launch Link to the right with the kelp of the Deku Leaf. Use
the Deku Leaf to bring the platform over to Link, use the Deku leaf to send
Link to the far side, and then pick up the Flower bomb to throw off the
platform through the hole in the tree room below. This will remove all the
vines from the Treasure Chest, so Link can jump into the hole, open the
Treasure Chest, and get the Treasure Chart contained within. Now exit the
room.
Now use your Boomerang to cut all four vines from below to drop the flower
down, use your Shield to kill the Octorok with it's own weapon, and then use
the Deku Leaf to fan yourself down the river to the first wall ahead. Now draw
your sword and use your Shield on the next two Octoroks, followed by fanning
your flower boat to dry land. Now run quickly and accurately between the blue
vines and Green Chus that attack so you can reach the door ahead.
This room will start off with thorny vines blocking your exit, so walk towards
the big stump in the middle where you follow the path to the top of it. Now
aim your Boomerang so it hits all five orbs in a circular manner (otherwise the
stump will block your Boomerang's path) to open the gate below so Link can grab
the Big Key! Kill the two spear-using enemies that attack (use the Boomerang
to stun them), and then go to the top of the stump to grapple across to the
door that de-barred.
Go forward, cut through the bushes, drop down to fight some Green Chus, and
then use your Boomerang to cut the spiked enemies down. Now hop across the
stumps to go through the door on the right.
Use the Deku leaf to make a cyclone appear, so jump into it and use your Deku
Leaf to float to the floor above, where Link should use his Boomerang on the
blooms on the door to kill the vines.
Now head through the door to fight two enemies to win a Joy Pendant from a
Treasure Chest, and then head through the door at the far end of the chamber.
In this room you should break all the spiked nuts to collect all the riches as
well as kill the enemies. One of the spiked nuts even contains a fairy you can
bottle (or just grab for quick health). Now, just the pot with the sticks
inside, light one of them and burn the top off the cauldron (this will allow
easy access for Link in case you die at the Boss). Now you are ready to go
fight the BOSS FIGHT!
Link should walk forward to see the missing Korok, but a plant will swallow it
and grow much larger before hanging onto the ceiling. Link's priority is to
avoid the slashing tentacles while throwing his Boomerang to cut down all of
the vines holding the flower afloat. When it falls and the small core is
exposed, slice it repeatedly, but be sure to clear out before it closes up or
Link will be hurt for one whole heart! Repeat this as necessary (while cutting
grass to replenish your Life Meter) to win a Heart Container and the Korok's
freedom before exiting the Forbidden Forest!

Forest Haven
o--------------o
The Deku Tree will thank Link and deliver Farore's Pearl as promised for his
good deed. Makar will then play a song for the ceremony, and the Great Deku
Tree will produce seeds for the Koroks to spread across the Islands of the
Great Sea! Also be sure to grab some Forest Water from the river in here
before leaving.
Now exit the grove to go outside to check the mailbox for a letter containing a
Piece of Heart! Talk to the King of Red Lions to learn that the final pearl
lies on an Island to the northwest, so play the Wind Waker to change the wind
to go northwest, and then get on board and head on out to...
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Head out to the northwest, and continue along this route till you see an
island. Go to the right of it, leave your boat on the sloped shore to get onto
the Island, and head to the right side of the island to find a Korok who needs
some Forest Water (which you just grabbed), so use it on the tree in front of
you. This leaves seven more to find, but we will worry about them later.
Once you have returned to your boat, continue northwest until you reach...
o------------------o
GreatFish Island
o------------------o
The island appears to be destroyed and their is no sign of the water spirit
Juban! Quill will appear out of the gloom to tell you that Juban fled from the
vicious attack and is now residing on Outset Island, Link's home island!
However, Juban is hidden away, although the {Pirates tried to get to him. The
Pirates were last seen on Windfall Island, so head there with all due haste!
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Change the wind before setting sail to the northeast, and then go for Windfall
Island. Link will arrive to come up with the plan of finding out the Pirate's
plan without them noticing him.
o-----------------o
Windfall Island
o-----------------o
Head up the beach to go left to the Bomb Shop, where Link will slide along the
wall to the back cliff. Climb the ivy to the roof, crawl through the small
hole, and then watch as the Pirates rob the Bomb Shop (he deserves it for the
ridiculous prices he has). Tetra sees Link, but decides to give him time to
get on board the pirate ship instead of getting the Pirates after him!
Remember the password SCHOONER as the Pirates leave.
Head out from the Bomb Shop, go to the mailbox, turn left to run up to the
grave stone where the crazy dancing guy is during the day, and then jump to the
Pirate Ship. Go to the door to go below decks, which is where the password
SCHOONER (spell it "Schooner" though, or you will be denied access) must be
given to gain access.
o-------------o
Pirate Ship
o-------------o
Head down the stairs to talk to Niko (who is the bottom rung and stuck on the
ship) to receive your next challenge. You need to hit the switch before
starting to swing across the room from lantern to lantern! Use your great rope
swinging skills you have developed to make it across easily, and Niko will have
no choice but to award Link the Bombs (you will win 30 of them)!
However, if you remember, Link carries a stone that allows tetra to see what he
is up to and basically gives Link leave to get off the ship and go after Juban
tonight! This means she is purposely giving Link a head start towards finding
the Pearl first, so you are best to take this chance! Change the wind to a
southwest vector and get on your boat to speed off for Outset Island!
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Sail your way southwest towards Outset Island, while still baiting any fish you
see to get information for your map.
o---------------o
Outset Island
o---------------o
Go talk to family and friends first is the advice you are given, so heed it.
Fight Orca for some Rupees if you like, visit your Grandma to see she is not
faring well, and then visit the old man upstairs of Orca to learn a Fairy would
fix her up (gee, I wonder if we can move that heavy rock in the woods?).
However, this will have to wait until later, as Link should now return to the
King of Red Lions to sail around to the cave at the back of the Island to go
find Juban.
Go around the island to find a whirlpool you will enter, equip your Bombs, and
blow the wall open to enter and find Juban! Juban speaks in the ancient
tongue, but the King of Red Lions will handle the talking for Link, and in
doing so will convince Juban to part with the final pearl, the Nayru's Pearl!
The pearl will break the curse of night that Ganon cast, so that is good. You
should finish any business you have on Outset before you leave (any more people
you wish to see), and then set sail for the marked locations!
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
You need to place all three Pearls, so we will take the quickest route in doing
so. Set the wind to the northeast and get into your boat to head coordinates
B5 of the map section (the closest Island you need to visit from Outset
Island). Also remember to avoid the large cyclones or Cyclos will attack
(sending you WAY off course)!
You might want to stop off in coordinates D6 at Southern Fairy Island to Bomb
your way into a Fairy Pond. Here is a Great Fairy who will allow Link to carry
60 Bombs as well as release a platoon of Fairies (catch some in Bottles if you
like), and then head out on the sea towards your main goal.
You will have to dodge/kill terrible monsters as you near the small island,
where you will place Naryu's Pearl in the statue's hands! Now hop on your boat
to head off for coordinates F4 to deliver the next Pearl!
Along the way you can investigate anything you desire, but be sure to find
Eastern Triangle Island and deliver Farore's Pearl in the statue's hands! Now
change the wind with the Wind Waker to make it blow northwest, and then set
sail to coordinates D3. Be sure to visit with the treasure hunters around the
Island to receive a Treasure Chart!
You may want to drop by coordinates E3, which happens to be the Eastern Fairy
Island. Bomb your way into the Fairy Pond, visit the Great Fairy here to
increase your Bomb carrying capacity to a whopping 99! Now continue west
towards coordinates D3!
Place Din's Pearl in the statue's hand and suddenly the statute will explode
sending Link flying to reveal a goddess! She will unleash the other two who
will form a Triangle between them, causing a Tower to rise from the depths of
the sea at coordinates E4!King of Red Lions will take Link there to enter!
This place is in fact a trial for Link to prove himself worthy of wielding the
power able to defeat evil! Sail straight ahead to enter the...

Head along the right wall to go into the covered area when the water is low to
go through to a room where a Red Chu waits. After killing it, use Bombs on
both high ledges to blow open the walls to get a Dungeon Map before exiting the
room again. Now continue along the wall to the right to get onto a ledge by a
door where Link needs to pick the statue up and drop it on a switch to cause
the door to become open for him to go through.
Head forward (past the Red Chu) to drop into a pit where Link needs to pick up
a box when the water is at it's low level and place it (with the R Button) over
the switch below. Now exit the pit and wait for the water to raise and then
lower once more so the bridge will be solid long enough for Link to run across
tot he far side to grab the object under the roof of the altar. Run across the
light bridge while it is there, exit the room, and then go left to place the
object in the altar there to lower the barrier to the left of Link.
Get into the boat, make for the opened passage on the left, and sail through it
to turn right. Get off the boat and onto the ledge at high water, followed by
placing the two statues present on the switches to gain access to the next
area.
Your job here is to start off by jumping into the pit at low water to push the
blocks around to form a bridge, followed by Link going to bust the jar with a
stick in it. Pick up the stick, wait for the water to start to rise, and then
light the stick before jumping across the makeshift bridge to light the two
braziers on the ledge. A Treasure Chest will appear, which holds a Small Key,
so grab it before going past the Red Chus to exit the room.
Head back into the starting area, sail straight out from the side passage
towards the cracked walls ahead where Link will use his Bombs to blow a hole
open. Go over the wall at high tide, run up the steps, and into the next room
to fight a Skull before opening the Treasure Chest to get the Compass!
Once back in the stairs room, get a stick from a jar, light it on a torch, and
then run down the stairs to light the braziers at low water to get a Joy
Pendant from a Treasure Chest that appears. Your next job is to go to the
locked door on low water to pass through it to the next room.
In this room, defeat the Chus to make a staircase appear, followed by going up
it to grab the object. Wait for the water to lower, run out the door, turn
left to run up the stairs, and place it in the altar to shut the water flow off
from one of the mouths on the wall in the main room.
Go back to your boat at high water, sail to the opened passageway at high
water, and head through it to find a door to pass through. This room is easier
if Link starts a Bomb, hold its till it is about to explode, and then chucks it
at the rotating laser orb above so it explodes directly on it. Now grab the
statues and head across the floor to place each one on their own switch,
followed by Link steeping on the bare switch. This causes the platforms to
move, so jump up them carefully to reach a door to pass through to the next
room where Link has to go through the door on the right (others are barred
off).
This room requires Link to kill/dodge the Chus while using the platform to go
to the door across the way. Run forward off the light platform to go close to
the elevated pedestal to hold the R Button so the platform lowers. The statue
will follow you as you go, so walk around the path slowly (so the statue does
not get hung up on the way) before picking it up to jump the gap to pass
through the door. Run through the Chus to jump to the moving platform and
through the door ahead to get back to the big room where the statue places
itself on a special spot!
Run up to the resulting slab that appears, play the tune ( <, N, >, N) on it
with your Wind Waker to learn the Command Melody and to unbar a door where more
of the sentient statues await Link!
Use the Deku Leaf to rid yourself of the Skulls before using the Grappling Hook
to cross the gap to go through the open door. Use the Grappling Hook to cross
the gap here followed by the R Button to call the statue down. Now go stand on
the switch to make a light bridge appear, play the Command Melody to control
the statue, and walk it across the bridge before returning to control Link and
Grapple across the pit once again to exit the room.
Now out the statue on the switch, Grapple to the now open door, and head
through to see a massively armored foe with a big sword! This is a Darknut,
and to kill them you are best to wait till it is about to swing at you, at
which point you will use your A Button counter to remove parts of the armor.
After it has lost it's breastplate and helmet, duel it till it drops it sword,
and then slice it down (I used it's own sword on it for fun!). Now the door
opens and a Treasure Chest appears, so open the Chest to get the Hero's Bow,
use the Darknut's sword to chop the pillars down for Items, and then leave the
room.
Now use your newly won Hero's Bow to shoot the eye across the gap to make two
platforms appear in the gap, so grapple back to your statue friend. Pick it up
to jump across the platforms, go through the door, and watch as the statue hops
to it's pedestal to open the last door in this room (head on through it).
Here you just need to jump onto the right platform, hop to the door below, and
pass through to use the Deku Leaf to rid yourself of the Skull. Now make your
way across the first two platform to shoot the eye to make it rise and fall
(which you need to get onto to get up to a Treasure Chest with a Small Key).
Jump to the platform on the left, jump to the next one in line, shoot the eye
across the gap so you can jump to it, and then shoot the eye over the door to
make a Treasure Chest appear. Open it to get a Joy Pendant before using the
Deku Leaf to float over to the door to exit the room.
Go to the ladder in the pool of water to climb up to the ledge above, jump to
the left ledge, use a Bomb and time the throw so it blows a hole in the cracked
wall, and then hop through the opening to find a door. Here you must play the
Wind Requiem with the Wind Waker to make the Treasure Chest appear, but this
will also wake the Armos Knights (L Target and throw a Bomb into their open
mouths to kill them. Get the Treasure Chart before heading back to the
previous room. Climb the ladder from the pool of water, grab two statues and
throw them to one platform, and then hop across the high platform to get to the
far side to open the locked door to pass through to the next room.
Use your Deku leaf off of the raised block to float past the lasers, use the R
Button to cal the statue, and then use the Wind Waker to Command Melody the
statue to go through the lasers to the switch to stop them so Link can escape.
Now go tot he statue, press the R Button to get it to follow, and then head
through the door.
Use your Hero's Bow to kill the Wizzrobe form long distance (safest way to fight
them), jump across to the far side, and then put three statues on the one
platform before jumping across to get your statue and jump across one last time
so you can get the statue in with his buddies. The three statues will use their
powers to open a warp, so step into it to be transported up to the top level of
the tower.
Start by destroying both laser orbs with well timed Bomb throws, followed by
placing the two statues on a switch of their own, and finally have Link step on
the final switch so he can open the Treasure Chest to find the Big Key! The
two Armos statues you used to get into the Big Key come alive, so get behind
them to hit the button on them to make them spin around and die (clear away
from them as they die). Now head through the door that was just barred.
Run up the steps to fight off Birds as you go left to use Bombs on the Laser
Orbs. After putting up with this onslaught, climb the stairs toward the door,
bust the pots to get a Fairy as well as other Item refills, and then head
through the heavily locked door to go to the BOSS FIGHT!
Walk forward to hear a voice say you have done well, and then disembodied hands
and a face will attack Link! Start off by using two arrows on both hands to
incapacitate them, followed by two arrows to each eye while dodging any
fireball blasts it sends your way (just run when it starts that). When you
have knocked the head to the ground, L Target the open mouth to throw a Bomb
into the hole to damage Gohdan. If you run out of Arrows, the Boss will
conveniently give you some from his nose (I know, just use them ok?). Also
note the outside ring of the room is electrified (do not got here). Repeat
these steps three times to win a Heart Container and a passage out!
Once you are outside, climb the ladder and use your Grappling Hook to ring the
bell. This will get link back to the King of Red lions to sail through a light
portal as a true hero to go to...
o---------------o
Hyrule Castle
o---------------o
You must find an Item within that will make Link able to defeat Ganon! So you
should head up the steps into the castle to see a vicious battle has been
frozen in time! Go down to the Triforce insignia in the floor and answer the
Pirate Charm to realize you need to cover that same Triforce insignia on the
floor blocks. The blocks can be found around the Triforce (in sets of two), so
push them to line up on the Triforce insignia to reveal a stairway to the
basement underneath the statue of the Hero!
Go down the stairs and then towards the raised monolith to be told by King of
Red Lions to grab the sword before you, which is the MASTER SWORD! This will
bring colour to the landscape as well as wake up all the enemies upstairs! So
head up the stairs to do battle with the enemies! Take the armor off the
Darknuts with A Button counters, and try to kill the Moblins with minimal fuss.
Also try not to get ganged up on, or you may die badly. After you finish them
all, you will see the barrier blocking your exit drop, so head out into the
King of Red Lions to ride through the light portal to go back to the Great Sea
by the Tower of the Gods!
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Your first priority is to set the wind to northwest via the Wind Waker, and
then make waves towards Forsaken Fortress to rescue your sister Aryll from her
cruel captivity!
A few things to keep in mind as you travel is to continue bribing the Fishmen
with bait to fill out your Sea Chart, look for Cyclos and shoot him with the
Hero's Bow three times (you will learn Ballad of Gales), and also visit the
actually Islands themselves to look for Great Fairies or treasure. Also do not
be afraid to talk to Treasure hunters as they give away good things to Link as
well as some advice! B1 is relatively close to Forsaken Fortress (it is
located at A1), so visit Star Island to Bomb rocks to find a hidden cave where
a Piece of Heart can be won from the bad guys!
When you arrive at the Forsaken Fortress, sail in from the side underneath the
searchlights range so the cannons can not get a 100 % lock on your boat, and
use your Bomb cannon to blow the wooden door open on the front to enter into...
o-------------------o
Forsaken Fortress
o-------------------o
Although Ganon knows of your arrival, Link will be able to handle anything
because of the Master Sword (according to King of Red Lions this is true).
Head up the stairs to the plateau where the spotlights roam. You must head for
the tall wooden door while avoiding the spotlight, and when you arrive there, a
ghostly apparition of Ganon will appear! While L Targeting Phantom Ganon,
knock his energy blasts back at him (he will send them back at you) and do so
until he is hit, which means you should hack him as he lands. Now repeat this
until he is defeated, grab the Skull Hammer from the materialized Treasure
Chest, and then head through the wooden door.
Avoid the Bomb throwing rats, pound the posts on the left side of the room, and
then beat the Moblins as you head for the door down the hall. In this room you
need to watch for more Bomb throwing Rats as well as a Floor Master (which will
deposit Link in jail if he is caught), so kill them or avoid them as you walk
around the perimeter of the room to pass through a small archway to fight a
Moblin before going through the door ahead.
Run quickly to the ladder that leads up the bunk beds (if you are slow, a laser
shooting statue will get ya), and make your way through the ladders and the
beds to the ledge near the door. Now use your Deku Leaf to float across the
gap to fight the enemy there, followed by pounding the stakes down to pass
through the barrier to go through a door.
Go straight down the path to the door ahead, where Link needs to defeat the
Moblins in this room as he goes to the stairs on his left to go outside. Climb
the stairs while dispatching those bleating enemies (they are weak), and then
slide along the narrow paths while dodging the spotlights (if they spot you,
the cannons below will target Link, possibly sending him far down to the bottom
of the Fortress!). Two alternate ways of doing the second ledge is to go take
out the spotlight operators (like you did last time), or you can change the
wind so it blows across the gap and use your Deku Leaf to float across to the
other side. Run up the stairs to pound the switch with the Skull Hammer, and
then head through the unlocked door.
Link will cautiously enter the room (remembering what happened to him last
time), and then decides it is all clear and runs over to his sister's cage.
Link will struggle on how to open the cell, when suddenly Tetra and her
Pirate's will be behind Link! Tetra will reveal they drew the monster bird
off, and then she sees Link sword to which she ponders what it means! The
Pirate's take the girls to get the rewards for their return, and then Tetra
offers to take Aryll back home for free while Link takes on the monster bird!
Tetra promises to return, and as soon as she leaves, the monster bird returns
and the room starts to flood!
Run up the stairs as fast as you can while the bird destroys the path behind
Link, and when the bird blocks your path, smash it with the Skull Hammer so you
may pass. Climb to the top of the tower to see the ground start to close, but
not before the bird appears to initiate the BOSS FIGHT!
Helmarog King is the monster bird, and his weakness is to your Skull Hammer. L
Target the King, wait for him to attack, and press the A Button to shimmy out
of the way while the bird's beak gets stuck in the floor. Now Link should
swing the Skull Hammer before the bird recovers itself, and then repeat this
three more times for four total hits to destroy the mask (also be sure to put
away your Skull Hammer between attacks or Helmarog King will just attack with
no chance for Link to counter-attack). Now repeat the same steps for the
Helmarog King, but use your Master Sword to hit the big bird about a dozen
times to kill it. Whenever the bird swoops down looking like he is going to
grab Link, just stand still to avoid being damaged. Grab your Heart Container
to finish the battle!
Head up the ramp that the spikes were guarding before they fell to enter a
door. Link will enter a room where the mysterious stranger stands and he
commends the recklessness of Link (or "Boy") before revealing himself to be
Ganondorf! He reveals that Link did indeed get the bane of evil from Hyrule
Castle, but the very same sword kept his evil in check! Link realizes
Ganondorf has his powers back and charges, but quickly gets knocked away like a
fly! Ganon is about to finish Link off when Tetra reappears to try and help
Link, but Ganon grabs her and realizes that Tetra is in fact PRINCESS ZELDA
(thanks to his Triforce of Power)! However, just as things look there most
grim, the Ritos will airlift them out before Valoo the Dragon lights the entire
tower on fire with Ganon inside!
The group will regroup back at the Tower of the Gods where King of the Red
Lions will thank Valoo before taking Link and Tetra underneath the sea to...
o---------------o
Hyrule Castle
o---------------o
When Tetra awakes, Link will be contacted through the Pirate's Charm by the
mysterious voice to go to where Link got the Master Sword. Head into the
castle, go down the stairs, and you will find that King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule
has been guiding Link through the stone! He will then reveal himself to be
King of Red Lions, and says the two must listen to him. He relates the tale of
Ganon and how the Gods handled the problem by sealing all of Hyrule away (not
just Ganon) with a downpour of water!
Tetra will then be told her necklace is part of the Triforce of Wisdom, and the
King will reveal all the knowledge hidden from her that she is in fact,
Princess Zelda! The King then asks Link to lend his power to defeat Ganon and
also to return the power of the Master Sword so Link may defeat Ganon!
Link will then leave Zelda in the safe haven of the vault, and head outside to
here that Link must visit the Earth and Wind Temples to restore the power of
the Master Sword's blade (however, Link will have to do this from the surface
of the sea since Ganon blocked access down in Hyrule). Head through the ring
of light to go to...
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
King of Red Lions will command Link to find the eight shards of the Triforce of
Courage so he may once again open the way to Hyrule. However, you have a few
things to do before you go off to restoring your Master Sword to power. The
following paragraphs will look at the necessary places to visit.
Your first job is to get the Ballad of Gales from Cyclos (by using your Hero's
Bow), and once you have it, play the tune on your Wind Waker (v, >, <, ^).
When you have the choice of which isle to go to, choose the Mother & Child
Isles to appear at. You will meet the Queen of the Fairy World who will allow
Link to use Fire Arrows and Ice Arrows (just use the R Button to switch the
arrow heads).
Now warp to Windfall Island, change the wind to go to the northwest, and head
to Northern Fairy Island to upgrade your wallet to 1000 Rupees (you can also
detour to Outlet Island with the Ballad of Gales to go into the forest their to
find another wallet upgrade to a whopping 5000 Rupees!). After doing this,
collect yourself at least a total of 201 Rupees and seek out a mailbox to pay
201 Rupees to get a Beedle Chart, showign where each shop is afloat on the
ocean!
Now you may wish to do more sea-hopping to find Pieces of Heart, Charts,
Rupees, and other Great Fairies that the world contains. The Great Fairies are
especially useful because they increase your carrying capacities on your finite
Items (Bombs, Arrows, Wallet) as well as halve your Magic Meter! Once you are
ready to start forward with the story again, head for...
o---------------o
Fire Mountain
o---------------o
Link will have heard form the fish outside the Earth Temple entrance that Power
Bracelets from here are needed to enter the Earth Temple. Use the Ballad of
Gales to land at the Tower of the Gods, followed by setting the wind to towards
the northeast and set sail.
When you arrive, pull in close to the island, select your Bow and Arrows, and
then aim with Ice Arrows at the plume of molten lava spewing forth. Jump off
the boat immediately to swim to shore, make your way up the side of the
volcano, and jump into the volcano.
Immediately go forward to jump across the ledges ahead in the lava (ignore the
Keeses) to land on a platform where two Fire Centipedes patrol (kill them).
Run over to the Treasure Chest that appeared, open it to receive the Power
Bracelets (Link can lift heavy objects), and then lift the stone head nearby to
reveal an easy path back to the way out of the volcano.
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Once back on board the King of Red Lions, use the Ballad of Gales to go to
Outset Island, play the Wind Requiem, and set the wind to go east (set sail).
Head towards the island off in the east, which is Headstone Island.
Sail around the Island until an inlet is seen where a giant head sits, which is
where Link needs to go to lift it away top find a cave! Link will find a huge
granite door blocking the way, but it also contains some markings for Wind
Waker playing. Play the tune on the door (v, v, N, >, <, N) to learn the Earth
God's Lyric, which cause the Zora Sage Laruto to appear and tell Link that she
was damaged by Ganondorf. To help return power to the Master Sword, he needs
to find another to replace her, and that the one to do it must be one who plays
the harp (not too mention the bloodline he/she possesses). Link just needs to
find him/her, play the Earth God's Lyric, and that person will see their
destiny, which is to be the Earth Sage!
This requires Link to think back on his travels, and he will remember that
Medli of Dragon Roost Island had such an instrument, so use the Ballad of Gales
from your boat to travel to Dragon Roost Island!
o---------------------o
Dragon Roost Island
o---------------------o
First of all, shoot the Bomb string above the sign pointing up to find a
Treasure Chest with a Silver Rupee (200!), and then progress to find Medli in
the Rito cave. Go up to the second floor, take the second door on the left,
and head outside. Turn right to grapple across the gap, and then head up the
path following the left rail to find Medli!
Play the Earth God's Lyric to make Medli remember who and what she descended
from, and then she tells Link she must hurry to the Earth Temple. Prince
Komali will appear, but Medli Wants to spare him the pain of parting, so her
and Link leave.
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
Use the Ballad of Gales to go to Outset Island, followed by sailing eat towards
Headstone Island. When you arrive, Link and Medli will receive the warning
that the evil that stole the current Earth Sage's soul still lurks inside, so
Medli will need to listen to Link (press the R Button to make her follow, press
the A Button to pick up and use her to fly). Link also gets told to use the
Command Melody if Medli gets stuck in the Temple. Now the two set out for...
o------------------o
The Earth Temple
o------------------o
Play the Earth God's Lyric to make Medli do the same, at which point the seal
will open for you! Step inside to jump down the hole into the Earth!
Pick Medli up to float across to the door ahead, and then pick her up before
passing through the door. Mess up the Moblins in the room before taking Medli
up the stairs on the left to run off towards the left pillar with Link holding
her. Link should put her down and step on the switch, followed by playing the
Command Melody to take over Medli so he can fly her to the other pillar to hit
the switch located there. Now move Medli to the ground below before returning
to controlling Link, followed by picking her up to pass through the door.
Immediately put Medli down, fight the Chus off to cause some Dark Chus to
appear. Take control of Medli with the Command Melody, move her to the light
to cause her harp to petrify the Dark Chus, and then send Link to throw the
statues to kill them (before they revert to their normal state). Follow this
up by shining her light (use the A Button to control the direction of the beam)
the Treasure Chest to make it appear (collect it with Link to get the Dungeon
Map). Just pick Medli up before passing through the door.
The next room requires Link to control Medli while she is in the light beam on
the right so she can shine into the mist to reveal a switch for Link to hit
with his Skull Hammer. Pick up Medli before going through the door that opened
up.
Defeat the Skulls, climb the ladder on the left, and pull the block to reveal
some light entering the room. Now control Medli so she can reflect that light
onto the Treasure Chest to make it visible, and then get the Small Key before
killing the appearing Floor Masters. Now head back to the previous room to go
through locked door.
Here you should fight the Chus until two Dark Chus appear, at which point you
need to burn the curtains over the windows with a Fire Arrow (lets light in).
Control Medli, petrify the Dark Chus, return to Link to place the statues on
the switches, and then run up the resulting stairs before the Dark Chus
de-solidify. Now push the block off the ledge to open the door, control Medli,
and fly her up to the ledge so Link can grab her to head through the door.
Put Medli down, defeat the Floor Master, push the block into it's slot to open
the roof, and then control Medli to shine light at the symbols low to the
ground on the walls as well as at the statue on the block. Drag/push the block
in the wall to make a step to the ledge above (also opens the door), and then
push the other block to reveal a Treasure Chest with the Compass inside. Now
control Medli again to fly her up to the ledge so Link can pick her up to leave
the room.
Go defeat the Moblins before controlling Medli to fly up to the light (which
she shines on the ghosts below), and then control Link to kill the Poes (causes
a stairway to appear). Dissolve the three statues with Medli's power, pick her
up, glide across to the ledge, and get the Joy Pendant. Now pick Medli up
again to wander up the stairs to pass through the unlocked door.
Leave Medli by the door before sending Link into the lower area to walk by the
coffins one by one (defeating each ReDead before moving to the next one) to win
a Small Key. Grab Medli, head back a room, and open the locked door to leave
Medli behind while Link goes forward.
Link should walk forward to reveal a Stalfos, which Link needs to hack until it
flies apart. Link then should L Target the skull and hack it until it dies.
This will cause two more Stalfos to appear from coffins, so treat them the same
way to cause stairs to form so Link can go up the stairs to get the Mirror
Shield from the Treasure Chest! This great Item will reflect beams of light
for Link as well as function as a shield. Now unsheathe your sword and run to
the beam of light where you should hold the R Button to shine the light at the
symbol over the door to make it possible to leave.
Defeat the Moblins and Poes (this time use your Mirror Shield on the Poes)
before grabbing Medli and heading through the room to the door. Continue to
backtrack (try to avoid the Floor Master and Chus that challenge you) until you
arrive in the room where a stone head glares at you over the paralyzing mist.
You can go through the next door to use Medli on a switch so Link can go to the
next room to find a Joy Pendant if you like, but that is totally optional.
Control Medli so she will shine her light into one eye, return to Link, and
then light up the remaining eye to open a passage leading down with Medli in
hand.
Go down the stairs, put Medli down, and then use Ice Arrows to stun the Blue
Skulls so you can chop them up, and then go back to take Medli across the
bridge unaccosted. Now play the Earth God's Lyric on the Wind Waker
(v, v, N, >, <, N) to open the path forward to the next area.
Use the light to defeat the ReDeads (stun them with it and then slice them) as
well as using the light on the Mirror on the left to take out one statue, shine
on another statue to destroy it, and finally shine light on the small statue on
the block to destroy it. Now you need to take Medli with you through the door
on the right.
Run through the debilitating mist while dodging the Floor Master's hands, and
grab the Small Key from the Treasure Chest to make the mist dissipate. Kill
the Floor Masters off to win a Treasure Chart, then grab Medli and leave the
room. Now go across the room to the next room where another sprint across the
mist to push a mirror into a hole and then pound the switch to make the light
shine down through the iron wall into the next room. Return to the room
previous, push the block up against the wall, and then throw Medli up (or
control her up) to the ledge so you may both pass through the door together.
Defeat the Poes here by using the light to make them vulnerable and the Skulls
before using the light to shatter some statues to get a Yellow Rupee and a
Magic Refill. Now control Medli so she shines light at the wall where the
light is coming through (just not directly back at the light source), and then
use Link's Mirror Shield to dissolve the statue on the far wall so Link and
Medli may pass through.
Kill the Keeses, Stalfos, and ReDeads while dodging falling coffin covers to
win 20 Rupees from a Treasure Chest as well as finding another blockade where
Link needs to play the Earth God's Lyric to progress forward. Head down the
stairs to see a wide room, where Link should go down the left stairs. When he
runs out of stairs, put Medli down climbing down on viney wall, followed by
controlling Medli so she can join Link to pass through the door farther down
the stairs.
Start off this room by controlling Medli to fly her on top of the structure
just ahead to trip a switch causing the roof to open and shine light in. Next,
Link has to go into the lower area, push the mirror, and stop when it is lined
up with the light. Now go stand on the pedestal where the light crosses, use
it on the statue to the right, and then drag/push the next mirror into position
(you can also shine the Treasure Chest to get a Purple Rupee). Next you need
to control Medli to stand on the same platform Link just used to dissolve the
statue, face towards the platform in the enclosed space on the right, and then
send Link there to reflect that light to bust a mirror out of the wall.
Drag/push this mirror into position, then to the far corner (follow the light
beam if you wish) to push another mirror into position. Next Link can use the
light beam to make the Treasure Chest visible (Joy Pendant inside) and bust the
wall to his right (when facing the mirror) to find a door (go into it to fight
three Stalfos from the coffins to win a Treasure Chart!). Now you need to
dissolve the statue on the left (again while facing the mirror), and then
drag/push the mirror into it's correct position. Put Medli on the high
platform to send the light to the lower platform, where Link will bust the
mirror out of the wall (he will push/drag to it's correct position). Now
control Medli to send her to one of the pedestals by the statue head, shine her
light into one eye, and then make Link do the same to the other eye to open the
path to a door.
Put Medli down upon entering the room, shoot the Skulls from a distance with
Ice Arrows before going to cut them up. Then fight the Darknut (use A Button
counters to remove it's armor first), followed by grabbing the Big Key from the
Treasure Chest. Now backtrack to the large circular room with Medli, take
control of her, fly her up to the higher ledge, and then send Link up the vines
to the higher ledge. Now grab Medli, climb to the top of the stairs in the
round room, and then jump towards the door on the far side to flutter with
Medli to land by the door. Open it with the Big Key and pass through to the
BOSS FIGHT!
A multitude of Poes in this room will be comically running around, but it
quickly becomes VERY unfunny when they form a monstrous ghost! Jalhalla is the
huge entity formed by the Poes, and it needs to be cut down to size. Start
off by locating the beam of light, where you shine the light at the ghost to
knock it over. Pluck it off the ground, throw it into a spiked pillar on the
side of the room to split the Poes up, and then slice as many as you can up
before they reform Jalhalla. Continue the pattern to kill it off, but be aware
that it can attack by throwing flames from it's lantern, by body slamming Link,
and by spitting flames after it reforms. Once you win, collect your Heart
Container and step into the light!
Medli will enter, and then Link and her will add her power to the Master Sword
as the Earth Sage along with the old sage accompanying them), but the Wind
Temple is needed to fully restore the sword's power. Link will then return
to...
o---------------o
The Great Sea

Now Link needs to go into the Wind Temple, but first he must make a quick stop
over at another Island to pick up a necessary Item. Set sail for coordinates
E6, which is called ice Ring Isle.
When Link arrives, equip the Hero's Bow, use a Fire Arrow to melt the ice
coming from the dragon, and then Link has five minutes to get in and out of the
island with the Item in tow. Start off by walking around the icy path
carefully before hopping across the icebergs to the stairs to go fall down the
hall to the inside. Go to the right to cross the charm on the ice path,
followed by turning left to climb to the top of an ice slide which you will
navigate until a wall stops Link. Now hop up to the ledge above, open the
Treasure Chest, and claim your Iron Boots! Link will walk extremely slow with
these on, but the nasty wind currents in certain areas will not be able to push
Link around! Now put the boots on to walk through the wind on the path back,
and then go back to the King of Red Lions!
Next destination is to use the Ballad of the Gales to get to Windfall Island,
set the wind to the north, and then sail to Gale Isle. Land on the shore, put
on your Metal Boots, and walk forward to smash the air blower with the Skull
Hammer before entering the cave. Walk forward to learn the Wind God's Aria
(^, ^, v, >, <, >) before the Earth Spirit (a Kokori boy) appears to say he
must be replaced by one who plays an instrument like his.
Since the Koroks are descendants of the Kokori, it would make sense to look
their first, and you might also remember a musical little fellow there named
Makar...
o--------------o
Forest Haven
o--------------o
Once you arrive at Forest Haven, go up the path, but go left instead of the
usual path taken to enter the Deku Tree's domain. Look for musical notes from
a waterfall, and then grapple to the waterfall to find Makar, who you play the
Wind God's Aria for. He will then join Link to head for the Wind Temple. So
return to Gale Isle, play the Wind God's Aria together, and set foot inside...
o-----------------o
The Wind Temple
o-----------------o
Pick up Makar and walkthrough the door ahead to the next room where Link should
use Command Melody to control Makar, and then fly him through the wind ahead to
hit a switch to stop the wind. Now use the Iron Boots when Link is on the
spring jump, and then remove the Iron Boots to fly in the air where Link uses a
Deku Leaf to float to the ledge with Makar. Pick him up and then head through
the door.
Put Makar down, fight the Armos, use the Deku Leaf to open the wall, and then
grab Makar to head through. Put Makar down on the switch, put Link on the
other switch, and then grab Makar to go by the Blade Trap so Link can take
control of Makar to plant two trees in the soil to open the door.
Control Makar here, make him plant three trees to open the barred door, but
then a Floor Master will take poor Makar! Head through the door to your right
to fight some Peahats and Armos Knights as you head across the floor through
another door. Here you should drop down a floor, beat the Floor Master, use
the Deku leaf to lift the wall, and then defeat another Floor Master before
bring the wall down from the far side of the room with the Deku Leaf. Now use
your Iron Boots from the spring jump to make it to the higher floor, followed
by heading through the door on the right (ignoring the Wind God's Aria door for
now).
Use your Deku leaf to float to the air current, go left to the switch on the
ledge, and then Deku Leaf over to the opened ledge. Kill the Wizzrobe, jump
off the ledge to use your Deku Leaf, and use the air current to go straight
ahead to get a Dungeon Map. Now jump back out with the Deku Leaf, float to the
left after hitting the air current, and then hit the next air current to reach
the ledge ahead. Kill the Wizzrobe and Peahats off, float to the air current
before reaching the far ledge, and then go through the door on the right.
Use the Iron Boots to trip the switch, jump down to the floor below, and then
head through the lone open door. Use your Iron Boots to crash through the
cracked floor, defeat the enemies that appear, move spring block so link can
escape, and then crack the rest of the floor tiles to make a Treasure Chest
appear. Now push/drag the two blocks to the far end to launch through the hole
there to land behind the spike line, open the Treasure Chests to get a Small
Key and a Treasure Chart, followed by heading out the door to the big room.
Head across the way here to go through the locked door to enter a huge battle
where Keeses, Moblins, Wizzrobes, and Darknuts all try to pound you into
pieces. Once they have been eradicated, the Hookshot is your reward! this
Item will allow Link to pull himself to heights that were unimaginable mere
seconds before. Use the Hookshot to shoot to the platform here a Skull hammer
swing to the switch will make the door open!
Use the Hookshot here to climb the ledges until you can go no higher, at which
point Link should Deku Leaf across the gap to get the Compass! Now use the
Iron Boots on the spring jump to the platform to the side, and then continue
the climb up courtesy of the Hookshot. Once you reach the ledge where a giant
stone head blocks the way, use your Iron boots and then your Hookshot to pull
it down so Link may enter the cell to get a Joy Pendant and take Makar out to
the ledge where Link should put him down again. Retreat back to the door at
the same height as Makar, control him, and then head through the door together.
In here you should kill the Wizzrobe, Hookshot up the trees, and then Command
Melody Makar into following you up to the door. Kill the Skulls off with Ice
Arrows/Sword combo, control Makar to plant trees, and then use the Hookshot to
cross the gap courtesy of the trees. Grab Makar and head through the door
while dodging the Floor Master.
Put Makar on a switch, Link on the other switch, and then go through the
opening to use your Deku Leaf as you hop down to the left so you land on a
platform with two Armos Knights (kill them). Then use the Command Melody to
bring Makar down to you so you may both head through the door. Put Makar down,
defeat the Peahats, drop below, use the Deku Leaf to open the wall, pass over
before closing the wall, and then use the Iron Boots to get Link to the higher
level before commanding Makar to join him. Now play the Wind God's Aria along
with Makar to open the path ahead.
Upon entering the room, put Makar down and go defeat the three Darknuts to win
the Big Key! Now take Makar back out the door with you, drop Makar to use the
Deku Leaf to drop the wall, and then run past the Blade Traps to the far door.
Drop link to the bottom, command Makar to come down and plant two trees, and
then jump into the updraft that results with link to Deku Leaf to go up to the
top where Link should aim for the platform with the multiple statue heads on
it. Now control Makar to get him to fly up there (you may want to rest him on
the odd platform on the way up), and then pass through the door together to
fight Armos for a Small Key before returning to the large chamber. Drop to the
bottom again, wait for the blades to stop, and then go down into the propellers
quickly to head through the locked door to the next room.
Put Makar down so Link can duel the Stalfos and Wizzrobes, followed by climbing
up the ledges with the Hookshot. Now, use the Iron Boots and the Hookshot on
the stone heads to reveal enemies that need to be killed to make a Treasure
Chest appear (contains a Treasure Chart!) and also use the Iron Boots on the
one switch to make the door open across from the one you entered from.
Take out all the enemies here, control Makar, fly him up to the ledge to grow a
tree, Hookshot across with Link, defeat the enemies, and then head through the
door. In this room, push the right block left two spaces, followed by forward
until you can trap the Blade Trap on the right side of the block (keeping it
pinned right to the wall). Now put on your Iron Boots, push the block forward
until it nearly traps the next one, and then trap the Blade Trap on the right
as well. Now push the center block forward (with assist from Iron Boots) till
it falls into the ditch, and then go get the last one to push across the top of
the previous block to barricade the last Blade Trap before returning a final
time to grab Makar and go walk to the Wind God's Aria barricade to the BOSS
FIGHT!
When Link enters, he will need to jump to the ground below to have the sand
start to rise, followed by the appearance of a huge sand worm! Molgera will
rear from the ground, so L Target it, use the Hookshot to pull it's tongue
close so you can slice it! To counter this, Molgera will send some miniature
versions of itself after Link, so pull them close with the Hookshot to slice
them up before pulling Molgera's tongue close for another thrashing. However,
be aware that Molgera will start to actively hunt Link after the second beating
it's tongue takes by attacking from the air. After you win, the Heart
Container is yours and Makar is the new Wind Sage!
Makar and Link will then have some assistance form the Kokori sage, which will
finally power-up the Master Sword and make it able to slay Ganon!
o---------------o
The Great Sea
o---------------o
King of Red Lions and a Fishman will be discussing how Forsaken Fortress and
the world have been rid of Ganon, but King of Red Lions is worried about Zelda,
so you are off to find the Triforce Shards! Our first job is to find the
Triforce Charts using the IN-credible Chart for their locations, and then
collecting the Triforce Shards themselves. The first place we are going to
is...
o----------------o
Islet Of Steel
o----------------o
Start off by destroying all enemy units in the water before turning your
attention to going into the opening to stand on the circular logo on the floor.
Play the Wind Requiem to make a Treasure Chest appear, and open it to find
Triforce Chart #1! Now head off to...
o---------------o
Private Oasis
o---------------o
Make sure you have received the Cabana Deed from Mrs. Marie for 20 Joy Pendants
before heading here, and when you do arrive, use the Cabana Deed to get through
the door. Throw your Grappling Hook at the pole at the top of the room to
extinguish the fire to fall into a labyrinth below.
Walk forward until the path goes right, and continue right till you find a
ladder leading down to a crawl tunnel that has you turning right at the one
choice intersection, followed by straight at the second choice intersection.
Use the Skull Hammer to pound the two switches, go through the door that leads
deeper into the labyrinth to go down a ladder to go into a crawl tunnel (the
one opposite the ladder) to go up another ladder, followed by running to the
switch in the open where Link will cut left to jump down a hole to fight
ReDeads.
Now bust the jars, crawl through the tunnel, and play the Wind Requiem on the
logo to make a Treasure Chest appear that has Triforce Chart#2 inside! Now
work your way out of the labyrinth to head to...
o------------------o
Bird's Peak Rock
o------------------o
Land on the smallest landform, use the Grappling hook to climb up to the top of
the island, and then use the Hero's Bow to shoot the Helmarogs from their
nests. Now get back on your boat, use a Hyoi Pear to gain control of a
Seagull, and then fly to the four nests and then the top of the tallest peak to
hit all five switches which opens the iron bar door you saw earlier (enter it
on the smallest landform). Play the Wind Requiem to make the Treasure Chest
appear so you can get Triforce Chart #3! Now head off to...
o-----------------------o
Diamond Steppe Island
o-----------------------o
Use your Hookshot to climb up the steppes and drop into the cave. Now enter
the warp cauldron, use a Fire Arrow on the next warp cauldron, and then kill
the two Floor Masters in this room before going forward from the one you
entered from to take the one on the right. Kill the Floor master here before
taking the stick to burn the lid off cauldron on the left to go to the final
area to kill a Floor Master before getting the Ghost Ship Chart.
Head out on the sea, open the Ghost Ship Chart (make sure it is night), and use
the Ballad of Gales to warp near an area where the Ghost Ship is. Sail to the
Ghost Ship, sail right through it to enter, and then defeat the Wizzrobes,
ReDeads, Stalfos, and Poes that reside on board. Now climb the ladder to open
the Treasure Chest to get Triforce Chart #4! Now head off to...
o------------------o
Needle Rock Isle
o------------------o
Look for three ships around the island, and then sink them with your Bombs.
Use the grappling hook where the Gold Ship sinks to get Triforce Chart #5!
Just be sure to grab the Chart that lies here before leaving the area, as some
gamers have reported that they missed it and have been unable to locate it by
the helpful light beam that appears when the ship first goes down! Now head
off to...
o---------------o
Outset Island
o---------------o
When you arrive, visit Grandma to get a helping of Elixer Soup (use a Fairy on
her if you have not healed her yet) before heading out of her house again.
Head behind the house up towards the narrow ledge leading to a jar, but use
your Hookshot to reach the tree above. Now lift the stone head to enter into
the cave. this area (called the Savage Labyrinth) has a multitude of floors,
so the enemy numbers per floor will be listed. Also note that the enemies drop
no Items what so ever, so be sure to come in with healing things in your
Bottles as well as having the Magic Armor in your inventory for the tougher
floors.

o----------------------o
Stone Watcher Island
o----------------------o
Climb tot he top of the island to lift the stone head so Link may enter the
cave. Go through the door ahead, and then start working your way around the
room, entering each room to do battle with the enemies inside. Once you finish
the last room, two Darknuts will appear in the main area, so kill them to pass
through the barred door to play the Wind Requiem on the logo on the floor to
get Triforce Chart #7 from the Treasure Chest! Now head off to...
o-----------------o
Overlook Island
o-----------------o
Find the shortest landform in the chain of high points on the island to so Link
can Hookshot up to it, followed by Hookshotting across the islands until he
enters a cave. Go through the door ahead, and then start working your way
around the room, entering each room to do battle with the enemies inside. Once
you finish the last room, four Darknuts will appear in the main area, so kill
them to pass through the barred door to play the Wind Requiem on the logo on
the floor to get Triforce Chart #8 from the Treasure Chest! Now head off to...
o---------------o
Tingle Island
o---------------o
This fellow can make sense of ANY chart, so why not drop by to see if he can
decipher these beauties for ya? Tingle will want to see your charts, and he
then graciously offers to decipher each chart for the "low" price of 398 Rupees
each (totaling 3184 Rupees!). If you need Rupees, use your Treasure Charts to
find lots of Silver Rupees.
Once you have deciphered all of your Triforce Charts, head off to...

Use Triforce Chart #6 to find a Triforce Shard on the northern side of the
island. Now head off to...
o------------------o
Seven-Star Isles
o------------------o
Use Triforce Chart #7 to find a Triforce Shard on the eastern side of the
islands. Now head off to...
o--------------o
Two-Eye Reef
o--------------o
Use Triforce Chart #8 to find a Triforce Shard on the northeastern side of the
reef. With all eight Triforce Shards, Link has re-formed the Triforce of
Courage! Now head off to...
o-------------------o
Tower Of The Gods
o-------------------o
Head in between the arches to hear how Link is now the Hero of Winds and has
the Triforce ingrained into his being! Now King of red Lions will take link
down to...
o---------------o
Hyrule Castle
o---------------o
Run inside to head downstairs to see Zelda just before she disappears! Ganon
will taunt Link no one is safe anywhere and then traps Link in a ring of fire
with two mean Darknuts to play with! After the fight, head upstairs to run out
the door towards the barrier that exists on the walkway! Now slice it with your
Master Sword to shatter the barrier!
Now head across and up the path while battling Peahats, Red Chus, Moblins, and
another Darknut before Hookshotting across some gaps (while dealing with
Keeses) to enter into...
o---------------o
Ganon's Tower
o---------------o
When you enter, a door with four pictures on it will be shown to you, and these
pictures represent four of the bosses that Ganon controlled (the Tower of the
Gods boss was not his). So you have four doors to choose from, and they can be
done in any order. However, each one will need to be completed to get through
the door with the pictures on it!
When you reach the mutli-bridged area, Link must choose between Path One (on
left closer to entrance), Path Two (on left closer to Picture Door), Path Three
(on right closer to Picture Door), and Path Four (on right closer to entrance).
The walkthrough will list them in the order I have listed, but it is totally
optional which ones you do first.
========
Path One
========
Grab a water jar from the side, throw it to the lava, grab another water jar,
and then jump to the first platform you made before throwing the water jar down
so Link can get to the platform already in the lava. Now use your Grappling
Hook to swing across to the next platform (full speed jumps will over shoot),
and then Grapple to the bar above. Now hold the R Button to slow down and then
climb up to the bar above to use your Deku Leaf to cross the lava and go
through the door.
You will need to use your Grappling Hook on Valoo's tail to swing across the
lava pool over the boss, causing the ceiling to fall onto Gohma. Do this a
total of three times to completely shatter the armor, which gives Link the
chance he needs to destroy Gohma. Now use L Targeting and the Grappling Hook
to the monster's eye to stun it, followed by repeated sword swipes. Repeat as
necessary until Gohma dies.
========
Path Two
========
Use the Deku Leaf on the fan to make the platform move down, use your Deku Leaf
again to boost forward, and then hop to the moving platform when it is low.
Now use your Deku Leaf while the platform is low on the next fan to bring a
platform closer, followed by jumping to it (use Deku Leaf) when the platform is
high. Now use the Deku Leaf to start across the gap, then use the Deku Leaf to
float to the moving platform on the right, and then jump to the other moving
platform so Link can Deku Leaf across the gap to go through the door.
Link's priority is to avoid the slashing tentacles of Kalle Demos while
throwing his Boomerang to cut down all of the vines holding the flower afloat.
When it falls and the small core is exposed, slice it repeatedly, but be sure
to clear out before it closes up or Link will be hurt for one whole heart!
Repeat this as necessary (while cutting grass to replenish your Life Meter).
==========
Path Three
==========
Kill the two ReDeads and two Red Skulls in the coffins before retreating to
grab a jar near the entrance to carry forward up the stairs to place on the
switch to the right. Next Link will run forward to make two Poes and two Dark
Chus appear so he can bait them back towards the light so he may make them
killable. Then have Link go back to the entrance, grab the other jar, and
bring it back up two sets of stairs to set it on the switch. Now go forward
through the coffin lines ignoring the enemies as you dodge falling lids, and
then sprint past the suddenly appearing Stalfos to go through the door.
Jalhalla is a huge entity formed by the Poes, and it needs to be cut down to
size. Start off by locating the beam of light, where you shine the light at
the ghost to knock it over. Pluck it off the ground, throw it into a spiked
pillar on the side of the room to split the Poes up, and then slice as many as
you can up before they reform Jalhalla. Continue the pattern to kill it off,
but be aware that it can attack by throwing flames from it's lantern, by body
slamming Link, and by spitting flames after it reforms. Once you win, collect
your Heart Container and step into the light!
=========
Path Four
=========
Use the Iron Boots on the spring jump to float past the spikes so Link can drop
to the ground to use the next spring jump with iron Boots to launch into the
air to float through the downdrafts (split them). Now land, use your Hookshot
to reach the ledge above, and then go through the door.
Now you have beat all four big bad bosses again, go through the door ahead to
find Miniblins guarding the path up to the next door. Head through the door on
the right to look around the room before taking a leap of faith into the abyss
below.
Upon landing, run to the door directly behind Link before all the Phantom
Ganons appear and pass through it to go through the next door on the left,
followed by the door straight ahead, then left, and finally straight ahead.
Now you can fight the Phantom Ganon by using the Boomerang to break the
apparitions apart until he finally attacks with a big white energy ball that
Link must swat with his sword back and forth between him and Phantom Ganon
until he gets killed. Now pick up the Black Sword and walk towards the middle
of the room to open the recently appeared Treasure Chest to get the Light
Arrows which can destroy pure evil! Walk through the door to warp back to the
main chamber from before...
Equip your Hero's Bow, switch to Light Arrows, and then shoot the wall ahead
that has the Ganon caricature on it to make Phantom Ganon appear again! This
time hit him with a Light Arrow to truly kill him off, grab his sword, and then
bust the brick wall down so Link may pass through!
Climb the stairs here to fight a Moblin, a Darknut, two Moblins, and then two
Darknuts before passing through the door to find a chamber where a covered bed
sits with Zelda inside along with Ganon talking to her! Ganon will then taunt
Link before turning into a terrible monstrosity!
Puppet Ganon will wander the room trying to punch Link as he uses his Boomerang
to cut the strings holding him up, followed by the one holding his tail as the
last one to cut. Now hit him with a Light arrow on the blue orb to damage him.
Repeat two more times to make Puppet Ganon change his form.
The second phase of fighting has Puppet Ganon as a spider that floats in the
air (use the water to keep an eye on him) until he falls down to the ground.
Run out from underneath him to the side where the blue orb will be located so
Link can shoot it with a Light Arrow. Repeat this two more times to make
Puppet Ganon change his form.
The third phase of Puppet Ganon is a worm that crawls around the room trying to
hit Link. Just hit the blue orb in it's tail three times (you can stun the
beast by hitting the head with your sword) to finally defeat this evil being!
Ganondorf will quickly utter some words before rising higher into the rafters,
so climb the red rope to the rafters yourself to use your Grappling Hook to
climb up the levels while using the jars to refill your meters (also open the
Warp Cauldron). Now Hookshot to the door above and pass through to the final
BOSS FIGHT!
Ganon will taunt Link before slapping him around to take the Triforce of
Courage to fuse all three and wish to the Gods! However, King of Red Lions
makes a wish on behalf of Link and Zelda, causing Ganondorf to be denied as
Zelda awakens to give Link his sword back! now the fight begins!
Link can not break through Ganon's double-sword defense, so he has to use the A
Button counters while waiting for Zelda to pop Ganon with a Light Arrow
(stunning him and making it possible for Link to hit with his Master Sword).
After this goes on for a while, Ganon will get wise as he smacks Zelda into
unconsciousness, meaning Link has to fight alone! Use A Button counters on
Ganon as you play stay away for most of the fight to stun him, followed by
slicing him with your Master Sword. Once Zelda wakes up, she will try to
resume the Light Arrow barrage, but Ganon dodges them! Your job is to L Target
Ganon as you hold the R Button s Link will have his shield out, followed by
Zelda shooting a Light Arrow off of the shield to hit Ganon! You should then
go in fast to slice Ganon to finish him off!
Congratulations on finally beating Ganon, so enjoy the ending as you get ready
to head out on a Second Quest!

8) This section will look at all the bosses Link must do battle with over his
quest.
o-------o
Gohma
o-------o
When you walk forward, a monstrous foe will appear! You will need to use your
Grappling Hook on Valoo's tail to swing across the lava pool over the boss,
causing the ceiling to fall onto Gohma. Do this a total of three times to
completely shatter the armor, which gives Link the chance he needs to destroy
Gohma. Now use L Targeting and the Grappling Hook to the monster's eye to stun
it, followed by repeated sword swipes. Repeat as necessary until Gohma dies,
collect your Heart Container for defeating the vile beast.
o-------------o
Kalle Demos
o-------------o
Link should walk forward to see the missing Korok, but a plant will swallow it
and grow much larger before hanging onto the ceiling. Link's priority is to
avoid the slashing tentacles while throwing his Boomerang to cut down all of
the vines holding the flower afloat. When it falls and the small core is
exposed, slice it repeatedly, but be sure to clear out before it closes up or
Link will be hurt for one whole heart! Repeat this as necessary (while cutting
grass to replenish your Life Meter) to win a Heart Container and the Korok's
freedom before exiting the Forbidden Forest!
o--------o
Gohdan
o--------o
Walk forward to hear a voice say you have done well, and then disembodied hands
and a face will attack Link! Start off by using two arrows on both hands to
incapacitate them, followed by two arrows to each eye while dodging any
fireball blasts it sends your way (just run when it starts that). When you
have knocked the head to the ground, L Target the open mouth to throw a Bomb
into the hole to damage Gohdan. If you run out of Arrows, the Boss will
conveniently give you some from his nose (I know, just use them ok?). Also
note the outside ring of the room is electrified (do not got here). Repeat
these steps three times to win a Heart Container and a passage out!
o---------------o
Helmarog King
o---------------o
Grab your Heart Container
to finish the battle!
o----------o
Jalhalla
o----------o
Container and step into the light!
o---------o
Molgera
o---------o
Container is yours and Makar is the new Wind Sage!
o-----------o
Ganondorf
o-----------o

15)This section will look at the ins and outs involved in the Nintendo Gallery.
o-------------o
What Is It?
o-------------o
A place where Link can take his coloured photos of all the characters in the
game. They will also be made into figurines by the owner of the gallery.
o--------------o
Where Is It?
o--------------o
It is found off of Forest Haven on a smaller island. Go up the Deku Tree using
the Flower Buds, but instead of floating to the usual exit, float to another
Flower Bud. Use it to get high enough to use your Deku Leaf to float to the
high ledge to get outside. Change the wind to the north, and then use the Deku
Leaf to float down to here the switch is high on the side of Forest Haven. Use
a Hyoi Pear to control a seagull to go hit the switch and you can then enter.
o-----------------o
Additonal Notes
o-----------------o
Some photos are imposible to take yourself, so you will need to buy them from
the Picto Shop owner on Windfall Island. Which one that is on sale is
dependent upon the shape of the moon (use the Song of Passing to pick some up
quickly).
