                             ABOUT GOLF MODE
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Golf Mode is one of the many modes featured on Strike Force Bowling. Basically,
it's golf and bowling combined, hence the name Golf Mode. What you do is select
your bowlers like usual, and your alley. Once you are all set up, you will be
given different set-ups of pins. But these aren't your usual set-ups. There
will be pins everywhere. Luckily, you have as many shots as you need to knock
them all down. This is where the golf part comes in, since you have as many
shots as you need, the game will calculate how many shots it takes you and the
lowest number of shots wins. You will even get "bogeys," "birdies," and other
golf terms.

This mode can be played by one player, up to 4 players. There is always a set
pattern, i.e. Hole 1 will always be the same, and there is 18 holes. The
set-ups will not change between levels either, only the pins will, like they
always do. Keep in mind that a great way to practise each hole in golf mode is
to set the game up for 4 players, and then just play each player yourself. This
gets you four tries at each hole, and will help you sharpen your skills for all
of them.

NOTE: In the diagrams,

X= where the ball should go

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 1
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 1 has 14 pins, in a big oval shape. The best way to go about this one is
to throw a ball nearly straight at the two pins farthest to the right, creating
a reaction where the pins fall like dominoes towards the left side. Be careful
when shooting for pins in the middle, as they will leave the pins on the side,
and this will be difficult to pick up. The par for this hole is _. It should
look something like this:

                                 OOOOO
                                O     O
                                O     O
                                 OOOOOX

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 2
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 2 has 12 pins, in 4 columns of 3 pins, forming a rectangle. The best way
to go about getting this is to throw a ball with no spin on in directly down
between the right rows, this will cause a reaction similar to the one you used
in Hole 1. Another technique is to try to get the ball perfectly through the
middle two rows, but this is much harder to perform. It looks like this:

                                O O O O
                                O O O O
                                O O OXO

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 3
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 3 has 14 pins in alternating rows of 3 and 4. You should try to get the
ball between the pin in the front row, and the pin in the second row, all the
way on the right side. This will cause a reaction that should knock out many
of the pins. The shape should look like this:

                                O O O O
                                 O O O
                                O O O O
                                 O O OX

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 4
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 4 has 14 pins in a big rectangular shape. The best way to get this is to
throw a straight ball as hard as possible between the two front pins all the
way to the right side, just barely hitting the one on the left. That way, the
ball should continue to take out the 4 on the the right wall while the pins
are forced to the left. This leaves easier second shots than aiming for the
middle pins. Here is the diagram:

                                O O O O O
                                O       O
                                O       O
                                O O O O O
                                       X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 5
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 5 has 13 pins in a big X shape. This is a difficult hole but the best way
to go about it would be to hit the right side of the pin all the way on the
right. This will usually take out half of the pins, leaving the other half to
pick up on shot 2. This is the safest way. The below is a little too stretched
out horizontally, but it gives you the basic idea of the set-up:

                            O                 O
                               O           O
                                  O     O
                                     O
                                  O     O
                               O           O
                            O                 O
                                             X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 6
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 6 has 13 pins in a plus sign shape. The best way to get this one is to
Hit the front pin slightly on the left of it, that way the entire left side is
taken out from pins and the middle column is taken out by the ball. Make sure
that you use a heavy ball for this one because otherwise it will be difficult
to take out the center column.

                                   O
                                   O
                                   O
                             O O O O O O O
                                   O
                                   O
                                   O
                                    X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 7
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 7 is a 5 pin set up. They are in a large X-Shape. The par for this hole is
3. It is very difficult to get under par on this one. You best strategy is to
take a very heavy ball and get down as close to the gutter as you can. Keep in
mind that this strategy is very challenging and there is an easier way.
However, this strategy will get you lower score with practice. For par, it is
easier to do. If you want to just get par, hit the front, right pin dead on. Go
for it like you would to get the ten pin, with the glitch that allows you to
throw right along the gutter. Just have you your bowler with maxed out power
and the rest of your stat points in accuracy. Then you can just line up all the
way to the right and throw it at max power (see my complete Guide/FAQ for more
info) and you will cut through and take out the pins on the right. Then
carefully do the same on the opposite side to get the two on the left. That
leaves just the middle pin. While this strategy is much easier, it is also less
rewarding, but if you have never practiced the more challenging way then you
should stick to it. The more challenging way can do it in two shots, if you got
good aim. You can take out the three through to the back from the front right
and then grab the last two. Like I said, very difficult.

                             O         O

                                  O

                             O         O
                                        X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 8
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 8 is a 15 pin set-up. It looks like a big Z. This one is very challenging
to get a hole-in-one on, but your best bet is to aim for the front, left pin
on the right side. This will hopefully take out the front pin and cause a chain
reaction down the front row, then, with a little pin action, the ball should be
able to take out all the back pins. Like I said, very tricky and requires a lot
of luck, but not impossible. The par for this hole is 3.

                           O  O  O  O  O
                                     O
                                   O
                                 O
                               O
                             O
                           O  O  O  O  O
                            X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 9
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 9 is a 15 pin set-up shaped like an H. This is another challenging one.
The best strategy is to hit the right, front pin, on the right side. The ball
should carry throught to get all the pins on the right side row, while the
front 2 pins will carry over. On its way through, the ball should also hit the
far right pin in the center row. This should cause a domino affect down the
line, and with a little luck all the pins on the left side will go down. The
par is 3.

                                 O    O
                                 O    O
                                 OOOOOO
                                 O    O
                                 O    O
                                       X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 10
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 10 is a 10 pin set-up shaped like an upside-down T. While is may not look
too hard, this is actually a fairly tricky hole because of the long column of
pins. Your best bet is to hit slightly to the right of the column, but more
towards the column than the outside. This will hopefully allow your ball to
take the column out and let the pins do the rest. A heavy ball is absolutely
required for this shot. The par is 3.

                                   O
                                   O
                                   O
                                   O
                                   O
                               O O O O O
                                    X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 11
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

(Note: They should be semi-circular.) Hole 11 is a 14 pin set-up that is shaped
like two semi-circles back-to-back. Your best bet is to hit the front right
pin. This is relying a lot on pin reaction, but you might be surprised how many
pins you can take out this way. The par for this hole is 3.

                            O           O
                              O       O
                                O   O
                                  O

                                  O
                                O   O
                              O       O
                            O           O
                                         X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 12
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 12 is a 12 pin set-up shaped like a diamond. This one isn't too hard. Just
hit the front pin like it was the head pin and you were going for the pocket.
The par for this hole is 3.

                                 O
                               O   O
                             O       O
                           O           O
                             O       O
                               O   O
                                 O
                                  X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 13
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 13 is a 14 pin set-up shaped like an N. This is probably one of the most
difficult holes to get a hole-in-one on, and that's why if you complete this
hole then you unlock the secret bowler "Bones." Your best bet is to shoot as
far right as you can get the ball before it goes into the gutter while hitting
the right pins. This can cause a reaction that will take the pins on the left
side out, if you're lucky, that is. The par for this hole is 3.

                            O        O
                            O O      O
                            O   O    O
                            O     O  O
                            O       OO
                                      X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 14
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 14 is a 16 pin set-up shaped like a squared-off U. Your best bet for a
hole-in-one is to use the 7-10 glitch to get a strong shot right up the gutter.
The should usually cause the front pin to domino down the front line while the
ball will take out the right column. The par for this hole is 3.

                            O         O
                            O         O
                            O         O
                            O         O
                            O         O
                            O O O O O O
                                       X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 15
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 15 is a 14 pins set-up, and is one of the easiest in the entire golf mode.
All you have to do to pick it up is hit it right in the center or even a little
bit to the right or left of the center and they will all explode. The par for
this hole is 1, so the best you can possibly do is par.

                               O O O O
                               O O O O
                               O O O O
                                 O O
                                  X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 16
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 16 is a tricky 10 pin set-up. To get it, you hve to hit the front right
pin slightly on its right side. This may not look like the best choice, but it
is more likely to get you a hole-in-one then if you went straight up the
middle. Straight up the middle leaves both fron side pins usually, so hit the
front right pin. The par for this hole is 3.

                                 O O
                              O       O
                                 O O
                              O       O
                                 O O
                                   X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 17
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 17 is a difficult 14 pin set-up. Getting a hole-in-one isn't easy, but
I've done it a few times. What I usually try to do is hit directly in between
the two pins like the diagram shows. This way if you are lucky the ball will
take out everything on the left and the front two pins all the way to the left
will take care of themselves. If the front pin on the far right doesn't fall
down right away, pray for some pin action, because sometimes it's required to
get that annoying pin down. The par for this hole is 2.

                               O O O O
                                   O O
                                   O O
                                   O O
                                   O O O O
                                      X

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
                                 HOLE 18
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hole 18 is a ten pin set-up, which, you should notice, is simply a regular pin
set-up like in a normal game, except backwards. This set-up is very hard to get
a good score on, and always gives me trouble. Your best bet is to try to get
the ball in between the front right pins, being very careful to hit both of
them. If you only hit the far right, that may be the only pin you knock down.
But, if you hit them both, then you will get the pin to knock down some other
pins in the set-up. Either way, you are going to be left a challenging set-up
most likely. Make sure you aim carefully, and try not to make the set-up worse
for yourself. The par for this hole is 3.

                                   FAQ
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What is Golf Mode?

Golf Mode is one of several different bowling related games you can play on
Strike Force Bowling. It has qualities of both bowling and golf. You see, crazy
pin set-ups that would normally be impossible to get in a normal game were
invented for this game. With these bizarre set-ups, you are given as many tries
as necessary to knock down all the pins. If you take too many shots, you will
go over par, like in golf, and your score will get higher. You want your score
to be as low as possible. For example, a great score in this game would be a
-2. This will unlock you a secret level.

Which bowlers can I use?

Any bowler or ball you like, even your saved bowlers.

What glitch can allow me to get the ten pin easily?

There is a glitch that will help you a lot in Golf Mode. Simply set up a bowler
with 20 strength and 19 accuracy. Now, using that bowler, line up all the way
to the right both with your feet and your ball (the red line). When you throw
the ball, it will look like it's going right into the gutter, but it will
actually roll right down the edge and eliminate any ten-pin easily. This glitch
will also get you the 7-10 split every time if you throw with max power.

Can you skip to different holes in golf mode?

Unfortunately, no. This is a feature that would have been very helpful if
added. Perhaps it wasn't added to make the levels which unlock secret items
more difficult to get to... even so, I really wish this feature had been added
to make practicing holes separately easier.
