=================================Introduction*==================================
================================================================================

Why, hello.  Welcome to my fifth walkthrough!  Just rolls off the tongue,
doesn't it?  But really, let's get down to business.  It has become a habit of
mine to give a review in the Introduction section and I am not one to break
traditions.  Sonic Heroes is conceivably the best Sonic game released for the
GCN.  I really liked Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but this game is longer and
better.  On the downside, there is no Chao Garden.  No!  I know you're angry but
you can't stay enraged forever.  Don't hit the computer.  All right, now that
we're calmed down I can continue.  The multiplayer mode is entertaining, not
spectacular, but it will suffice.  The music is good, there is a new plot, much
better graphics, and generally new game play.

Doesn't it seem like everyone is trying that teamwork and cooperation thing now?
My first walkthrough was on The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and I
would know.  The Sonic Team is not going to be excluded from the latest craze,
and so they made this game.  You control three characters at once, each skilled
in speed, power, or flight, and can switch team leaders when you so desire.
Each team has a different reason for going on their adventure, but in the end,
paths intertwine and Dr. Eggman is going down. That said, it is time to continue.

You most likely noticed that I placed a star (*) after the names of the sections
in the Table of Contents.  Press CTRL + F and you can search the document.  Type
in the name of the section you seek and add the star at the end to distinguish
it from times I may use it in context and there you have it.  This is the
easiest way to search computerized documents.  Enjoy.

===================================Team Play*===================================
================================================================================

The three musketeers live!  Yes, no matter which team you choose to play as, the
controls are essentially the same.  Like I said, there is a team leader and two
followers.  You can change the leader whenever you like to access their skills.
Here is a list of the teams.

                             +------------------+
                             |    Team Sonic    |
                             +------------------+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speed Character: Sonic

Age: 15

Sonic is a blue hedgehog from South Island who hates injustice and the evil Dr.
Eggman, formally known as Robotnik.  Sonic is a likeable person, err, hedgehog
with many friends.  He's the world's fastest blue hedgehog and he's coming for
you, Eggman!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Character: Knuckles

Age: 16

Knuckles the Echidna is guardian of the Master Emerald on Angel Island.
Knuckles originally hated Sonic and Tails because Eggman convinced him that they
were stealing the Chaos Emeralds, but in time Knuckles realized he had been
played for a fool.  Knuckles is slightly slower than the blue blur, but he is
much stronger and remains one of Sonic's best friends and fiercest rivals.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flight Character: Tails

Age: 8

Tails is a youngster in the eyes of his friends, but he is Sonic's most loyal
friend.  Mile "Tails" Prower was born with a birth defect, two tails, endowing
him with the ability to fly, swim rapidly, and run almost as fast as his idol,
Sonic, by twirling his twin tails to propel himself.  Tails is a genius with
machines, building the Tornado 1 and 2, as well as many other devices that have
helped Sonic over the ages.  Tails is also native to South Island.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                             +-----------------+
                             |    Team Dark    |
                             +-----------------+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speed Character: Shadow

Age: Unknown

The most tragic of all characters is Shadow.  Shadow was created as the ultimate
life form by Dr. Gerald Robotnik (Eggman's grandfather) in Space Colony Arc, but
truly looked up to Maria, his only friend.  She and Gerald were both killed in
the colony and the colony was abandoned, until Robotnik rescued Shadow from a
military base where he was held captive.  Shadow rivaled Sonic in speed and
skill, as well as his Chaos Control ability, and in the end Shadow gave his life
in order to save the world from impending doom at the hands of Bio Lizard, who
had strapped himself to Arc as it hurtled through space.  It was thought that
the black hedgehog was dead until Rogue discovered him with Omega.  Shadow still
has amnesia.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Character: E-123 Omega

Age: Unknown

Like his cousin Gamma, Omega is a robot used by Eggman for world conquest.  The
task assigned to Omega was to guard the base, which he did until he was
decommissioned.  He guarded Shadow, decommissioned as he did so, for a long time
until Rouge awoke both.  Because Omega hates Eggman for decommissioning him, the
trio became Team Dark.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flight Character: Rouge

Age: 17

Rouge the Bat is a treasure hunter.  Her lust for jewels led her to the Master
Emerald where she encountered Knuckles, and eventually to Dr. Eggman.  Eggman,
Rouge, and Shadow made a terrible league of evildoers, but, unknown to either,
Rouge was secretly a spy trying to uncover information on the ultimate life form.
Rouge unwittingly awoke Omega and Shadow from their slumbers and she saw the
opportunity to cash in on Eggman's riches in an abandoned base, and so she
joined the pack.  She is the only person who intimately knew Shadow before he
"died" on Space Colony Arc.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                             +-----------------+
                             |    Team Rose    |
                             +-----------------+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speed Character: Amy Rose

Age: 12

Amy is desperately in love with Sonic ever since he saved her from Metal Sonic
so long ago.  She carries the Piko Piko Hammer with her everywhere to help out
the team.  Her reason for establishing Team Rose is to find and one day marry
Sonic.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Character: Big

Age: 18

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the cat sleeps tonight.  Seriously, Big is a
simple-minded jungle-inhabitant who has trouble keeping an eye on his best
friend, Froggy.  He is a serious fisherman and carries his rod everywhere with
him.  Froggy has gotten himself into trouble before, but this time it could be
very serious.  Find Froggy soon, Big!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flight Character: Cream

Age: 6

Cream is a rabbit, who (They were desperate on this one) can fly by flapping her
ears.  Cream has a soft spot for Chao, especially her Chao, Cheese and Chocola.
Poor Cream has lost Chocola, but a picture of Sonic running with Froggy and her
Chao in hand has united a strange group of people who all are in search of
someone special.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Team Chaotix    |
                            +--------------------+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speed Character: Espio

Age: 16

Rather corny, Espio the Chameleon is skilled in martial arts and is a ninja.  He
works for the Chaotix Detective Agency with his friends, Vector and Charmy.
Espio is undoubtedly the most stable-minded of the group.  Long ago Espio and
company lived with Knuckles on Angel Island, but they've moved on since then.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Character: Vector

Age: 20

Leading member of the Chaotix Detective Agency, Vector is a crocodile, not an
alligator!  He'll do just about anything for a descent salary, but nothing
illegal.  His trademark bubble gum and headphones lead him to use unorthodox
means of offense.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flight Character: Charmy

Age: 6

Charmy the Bee makes the other members of the Chaotix Detective agency look
professional by comparison.  As a bee, Charmy makes use of warp flowers
scattered across the land.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                            +-------------------+
                            |    The Enemies    |
                            +-------------------+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dr. Eggman

A genius with an IQ of 300, Eggman will stop at nothing for world domination.
Over the years he's found clever ways to stop Sonic, with crazy machines and
nightmarish mechanical monstrosities, such as the Death Egg, the Egg Carrier (1
and 2), and so many more it is tough to list them.  Eggman is cocky and
egotistical, and that is always his downfall.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
????

Who is the terrible fiend who leads Eggman's onslaught?  It is a past character,
but you'll have to find out for yourself...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So there you have it.  You cannot control The Enemies, but they add a great deal
to the game.  Each team member has some special controls and moves they can
perform.  Here are basic controls.

                              +----------------+
                              |    Controls    |
                              +----------------+

Start/Pause: Brings you to Menu
Control Stick: Move Characters
A Button: Jump/Special Action
B Button: Action Button
L/R Button: Rotate Camera Left and Right
X Button: Clockwise Formation Change
Y Button: Counter-Clockwise Formation Change
Z Button: Team Blast
C Stick: View Surrounding from Leader's Perspective

                    +-----------------------------------+
                    |    Speed Formation Specialties    |
                    +-----------------------------------+

Spin: Hold B Button to roll into a ball and increase speed.

Rocket Accel: Hold B Button and release to cause damage to enemies and increase
speed.

Solo Attack: Hold the B Button and release without your teammates.  Sonic and
Shadow attack with a flying kick, Amy attacks with her hammer, and Espio throws
Shuriken stars.

Homing Attack: Jump and press the A Button to home into enemies.  This move was
made famous by Sonic.

Tornado Attack: Jump and press the B Button to perform a spinning motion.  This
is especially good for Espio as when he uses it he turns invisible.

Light Dash: Either Sonic or Shadow can approach a group of rings and press B to
dash straight through them.

Propeller Hammer: Jump and hold the A Button as Amy Rose and she can spin with
an extended hammer while rising in the air.

Triangle Jump: Home Attacking the wall lets you grab onto them.  Press A again
and you can jump off to another wall.  This is good for narrow spaces.  Of
course, you need to hold forward on the control stick to move down a narrow
hallway; otherwise, you'll just jump back and forth moving no distance.  Espio
can stay on the wall for as long as you want without falling - the same cannot
be said of the other characters.

                    +-----------------------------------+
                    |    Power Formation Specialties    |
                    +-----------------------------------+

Auto Homing: Requiring nothing at all, if you move with a power leader the
remaining two will automatically start attacking enemies.

Forward Power Attack: Varying with each character, pressing the B Button starts
a series of similar attacks.  Knuckles and Omega attack with Dash Punches, Big
uses his umbrella, and Vector uses his enormous jaws.

Remote Power Attack: Pressing the B Button repeatedly leads you from Forward
Power Attacks to Remote Power Attack, which are essentially the same thing.
Knuckles and Omega uses Spinning Back Punches while Big and Vector launch their
sidekicks at the enemies in balls.

Wide Power Attack: While in Remote Power Attack press B again to perform this
move.  Knuckles hits the ground releasing shockwaves, Omega uses a concealed
machine gun, Big swings around his fishing rod, and Vector unleashes his awful
breath.

Fighting Pose: Hold B to assume Fighting Pose, which does nothing.

Fireball Jump: Assume Fighting Pose and hold the A Button as Omega or Knuckles
to jump while rotating team mates to attack nearby enemies.

Fire Dunk: Assume Fighting Pose, jump, and press the B Button to cast team mates
down to the ground to take out most enemies surrounding you.

Body Press/Hammer Down: As Big or Vector jump and press the B Button to crush
enemies below.

Triangle Jump/Umbrella Descent/Bubble Gum Descent: Descend down to Earth in
formation.  If you get caught in an updraft, you can float upwards.

                     +---------------------------------+
                     |    Fly Formation Specialties    |
                     +---------------------------------+

Ascending Flight: Jump and hold the A Button to fly upward until the Flight
Gauge is used up.  If you stay in place (without moving on the x or z axes -
forward, backward, left, or right), you can continue ascending for a while
without using up the Flight Gauge, but you'll eventually not be able to ascend
any more after that.

Quick Ascent: Use Ascending Flight and press A while doing it to give off a
quick burst of speed.

Thunder Shoot: Press the B Button to launch teammates at enemies to shock them,
often stunning and sometimes destroying enemies.

Solo Attack: Press the B Button without teammates by you to activate a solo
attack.  Tails and Rouge use explosive rings on enemies, while Cream uses Cheese
to attack, and Charmy stings enemies with his stinger.

                         +-------------------------+
                         |    Team Blast Attack    |
                         +-------------------------+

When the gauge is full you can press Z to perform a team blast.  Each team's
blast is different, but all exterminate the enemies on the field or weaken
bosses.  To fill the gauge kill enemies, get the item box, attack people, and
collect rings.  They also have effects.  Team Sonic's can stun bosses, Team
Dark's stops time for fifteen second, Team Rose's gives you a barrier and
invincibility after using it, and Team Chaotix's gives you a lot of rings after
execution.  The names of the Team Blasts are Sonic Overdrive, Chaos Inferno,
Flower Festival, and Chaotix Recital, respectively.

Tip: There is a very easy way to fill the gauge.  Specifically, get in Fly
Formation (That is Tails, Rouge, Cream, or Charmy) and simultaneously press B
and X or Y so that the flight character is alone while the other two are
switching position.  Now that the fly character is alone stop pressing B and
notice that a quarter of the gauge is full.  Do this four times and you'll have
a full gauge.  This is very helpful against certain bosses.

While running, Tails and Knuckles catch up to Sonic in the Tornado 2.  Tails
hands Sonic a letter, from Eggman, daring the three to just try and stop his
dastardly plans.  Feeling up to the challenge, the trio get into the plane and
fly off to fight Eggman and save the world once more.

In Eggman's treasure vault in his abandoned base (From SA2) Rouge is seeking
great riches, but accidentally triggers E-123 Omega, the guard of the room.
Stray bullets awaken Shadow, who has lost his memory, but stops Omega all the
same.  After a little discussion, Rouge finds out that Shadow has amnesia and
Omega hates Eggman for locking him in a room, decommissioned, forever.  Using
Omega's hatred for Robotnik and Shadow's desire to know of his past, Rouge forms
a plan to get more money and jewels by combining forces to rob Eggman blind.

                        +---------------------------+

On a tropical resort of some sort Amy is relaxing when an article from the
newspaper showing Sonic with Froggy and Chocola blows from her hand.  Cream
flies up and catches it, being reeled in by Big the Cat.  Together the three are
searching for their lost loved ones.  That is Amy searches for Sonic, Cream
seeks Chocola, and Big looks for the elusive Froggy.  They have to find them, or
who'll go to the wedding?  But is it really Sonic in the picture?

                       +------------------------------+
                       |    Team Chaotix Storyline    |
                       +------------------------------+

Inside the Chaotix Detective Agency, Vector is listening to some tunes when
Charmy rushes in announcing that they've got a case.  The voice sounds weird and
familiar, like Eggman's voice, but why would Eggman contact the detective agency?
It matters not to Vector and Charmy, who are only interested in cold hard cash.

There are many mysteries yet to be revealed, but to tell you the whole storyline
here would be a major spoiler.  Find out as you play...

================================================================================
=====================================Items*=====================================
================================================================================

Rings: The most abundant of the items is the ring.  Scattered about the Sonic
world, if you have no rings and you are hit, you die instantly.  If you have
rings, one hit will make you lose them all, but at most twenty will be scattered
for you to pick up.

Goal Ring: Touch the goal ring to complete the stage.  It's as simple as that.

Power Core: These come in red (Power), blue (Speed), and yellow (Flight).  They
power-up the corresponding character by one level, which gives you points and
makes you stronger.

Formation Signal: Such signals are found hovering about the playing field,
telling you what formation works best for the upcoming section.

Formation Change Gate: Pass through one and you automatically switch to a
certain formation.

Hint Ring: Trigger these to receive help information from one of the team
members.

Check Point: Pass through this to save your progress where you are.  The leader
who touches it first gets a level up.  If you lose a life you start there, but
if you get a game over you do not.

Special Stage Key: In each stage is a key that lets you go to the Special Stage.
Of course, take damage and you lose it.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Item Box Items    |
                           +----------------------+

Rings: Rings come in 5, 10, to 20 ring bundles when you get a ring capsule.

Power Core: Level up like above.

Barrier: Protects yourself from enemy attacks for one turn.  Certain types of
barriers are magnetic and attract rings to you.

High Speed: Dramatically increases your running speed for a short period of time.

Invincible: Makes you invulnerable for a short period of time.

1-UP: Gives you an extra life.

Fly Change: Makes you Flying Gauge full.

Team Blast Ring: Sets the Team Blast gauge to full.

============================Team Sonic Walkthrough*=============================
================================================================================

Team Sonic is well rounded with strong, small, and fast characters.  They have
good abilities and moderately hard levels.  I'd say Team Sonic is the second
hardest of the stories you can play.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Seaside Hill    |
                            +--------------------+

Head for the whale island!

This is one easy level to say the least.  As you start you'll rush forward,
collecting rings and bounding over speed-boosters.  You'll stop at a spring;
jump up and home attack through the three rings in front of you for extra points.
You'll land by a Power Gate.  Run through and Knuckles will lead.  Dash through
to a booster that will launch you over a gap into a checkpoint.

Run forward and go through the loops, switching to Sonic as you do.  At the end
of the loops you'll be approaching a trail of rings.  Light Dash to collect them
and you'll be in front of your first enemies.  Dispose of the robots with homing
attacks and with Knuckles break the block to the left.  Under it is a spring;
spring up and break the blocks in front of you.  Another spring will be revealed
that you must use to reach the upper level.  Switch to Tails and fly onto the
ledge above for an item box, then fly over to the stone block, killing the robot
if you'd like.  Fly through the ring-shaped booster before you and you'll fly to
a spring.

Head straight in Flight Formation, collecting rings, and fly to the balloon,
which will pop.  Deploy Knuckles and break the block ahead of you.  Jump to the
next tier, break the cage ahead of you for the Special Stage Key, and use the
spring ahead to jump to a robot-filled section.  Practice annihilating enemies
with Knuckles, then break the blocks ahead and walk through the Speed Gate and
you'll enter a high-speed Light Dash sequence that ends with a checkpoint.

Use the booster ahead to get on the loop and once the looping is over you'll
land on an island infested with enemies.  Make short work of them and in Speed
Formation enter the cannon.  Run straightforward after being fired and onto the
spring before you.  Home attack flying enemy and then the balloon for a level up.
Kill the enemies and jump onto the stair platforms in front of you.  Switch to
Tails and use Thunder Shoot on the enemies and fly up to the top of the stone
ledge.  Fly through the booster to get a balloon and you'll land in a cart you
may control.  Maneuver about, collecting rings and balloons; I can't really
describe it, but at the end you'll hit a wall and be ejected from your cart.
Switch to Sonic and run under the enemies onto the booster.  You'll pass through
three rings for points and onto a checkpoint.

Jump onto the spring and with Tails fly up to the other springs.  You'll land
near a trail of rings; Light Dash with Sonic and home attack the enemies.
Switch back to Tails and fly through the boosters.  Get the ring capsule and
walk onto the booster to the right and fly through the booster halfway down.
Switch to Knuckles and take out the blocks and badniks (Enemies) and follow the
path until you reach a green floating enemy.  Kill it and head through the
boosters ahead.  You'll land by some rings and more boosters so boost and you'll
walk through the checkpoint.

Switch to Sonic and descend down the huge ramp.  Center yourself to go through
the three rings and home attack the flying enemies you find.  Switch to Tails
and fly up to destroy more enemies.  Go onto the spring and destroy the enemies
you find, then make the leader Sonic and dash forward.  Halfway through you'll
pass through a Power Gate and go up some loops.  When done crush the blocks and
boost forward, terminating any robots you encounter.  Crush the blocks in the
tunnel and boost downward until you're in a main room with robots.  Crush the
blocks along the sides for a 1-UP and a Special Stage Key, then switch to Sonic
and enter the cannon.  You'll spring up the vast tower and reach a checkpoint.

You'll enter a cart and zoom down.  Once again I cannot describe the sequence,
but you should collect capsules, balloons, and run over blocks.  At the end
you'll fall down onto a group of booster and into a loop.  After the loop follow
the path you'll reach more boosters that lead to a group of sleeping enemies.
Press and hold B then release to bowl right through them.  Around the corner are
more boosters that lead to a loop that ends in a tunnel.  Stop quickly or you'll
run into enemies.  Home attack them to death and continue running forward.
You'll boost into a spring that will cast you onto an island with many robots on
it.  Use Team Blast (The balloon contains that ring) and head up for the Goal
Ring.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Ocean Palace    |
                            +--------------------+

Escape from the ancient ruins!

You'll hurtle through into a looping scene that ends when you pass through three
rings onto a new platform.  Use Knuckles to punch the door open and decimate the
robots that charge you.  Smash the block ahead of you and rush down until you
reach a Fly Signal.  Use Tails to fly up through a booster and into a checkpoint.

Ahead is a Speed Gate.  Rush down and you'll find yourself by a large fan.
Switch to Knuckles and use Triangle Jump to hover upward.  The cage ahead
contains the Special Stage Key.  Get it and switch to Tails to fly over the
stones.  Use Knuckles to kill the enemies and open the door ahead.  Go through
the tunnel and use Tails to fly up, get the 20-ring capsule, and then boost a
long the trail.  You should reach a booster that sends you into a balloon.  Head
left upon falling and crush the enemy and force open the door with Knuckles.

Now switch to Sonic and home attack the wall, pressing A to jump from wall to
wall.  Get the balloon and use the booster to fly through the three rings and
through a Power Gate.  Use Triangle Jump at the fan and (Getting balloons along
the way) reach the third fan.  Hover up and walk through the Speed Gate.  Follow
the path to a Power Gate and crush the blocks that fall.  Kill the badniks,
ascend the stairs, open the door, and kill more badniks.  Switch to Sonic and
boost up the loop until you reach a turtle platform with the checkpoint on it.

With Sonic enter the cannon and kill the enemies on the new platform to open a
cannon, which you enter with Sonic.  You'll be sprung to an island with a few
robots.  Kill them and boost onto a new island.  Crush the metal crates for 20
rings but avoid the flying enemy.  Get on the booster and boost to another
island.  Kill the enemies and spring to a new booster.  You are sent straight
into a checkpoint and onto some springs directly ahead of it.

Land and take out some robots, than run up the path to the right and switch to
Fly Formation.  Fly up the wall and take out enemies, get the level up and keep
flying.  Collect rings and switch to Knuckles to bust down the walls and cause
some serious damage to the enemies.  Above is a spring that leads to a fan.  Use
Triangle Jump to float upwards and crush the blocks on the platform you land on
to boost away.  Open the door and home attack the wall with Sonic.  Press A
continually to get across and you'll find the Special Stage Key.  Get it, spring
up, and Light Dash under the crumbling rock.  Head to your left and on the stone
here is a checkpoint.

Jump to the spring above and you'll bounce to a downward ramp.  This is really
easy if you try.  A huge monster spike ball is rolling down to crush you.
Eventually there will be two, but just keeping moving.  At the end you'll run
right into the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Boss: Egg Hawk    |
                           +----------------------+

Run forward avoiding enemy fire using the Light Dash until you reach a sandy
arena.  You'll have to repeat this a few times.  The arena is lined with flying
enemies.  Just avoid them and home attack the head or cockpit repeatedly.
Repeat until you win.

                          +------------------------+
                          |    Grand Metropolis    |
                          +------------------------+

Rescue the city under the control of Eggman!

As you start you are running down a steep path.  At the end you'll land on an
energy bridge, which makes this world pretty fun.  Head straight through some
loops and onto a spring.  Bounce to some boosters that lead you to a platform.
Kill the enemies and walk up the energy bridge.  Home attack the enemies at the
end to reach the other side and you'll find one of the most annoying enemies in
the game.  Jump and press B by it to use the Tornado to flip it on its backside
and then attack its underbelly.  An energy bridge will form ahead so walk onto
it and head onto regular land.  There is a switch here; push it and get the item
boxes within.  Now kill the enemies and traverse the energy bridge.  On the
platform you reach there is the checkpoint.

Walk onto the energy bridge and kill the flying enemies you find.  The Special
Stage Key is here.  Get it and bounce upward and push in the switch to reveal a
Team Blast Ring.  Use it on the enemies before you and you'll have killed them
all.  In Fly Formation go through the aerial booster to get a balloon and fall
onto the energy bridge.  You'll land on some land boosters which will send you
through three rings.  Go down the energy bridge and through the loops with Sonic
until you reach some boosters that launch you through a window onto a checkpoint.

Immediately kill the robots you find and open the doors with the switch.  In the
first you'll kill an enemy and press the switch under the crate to open the
other, which contains a 1-UP.  Head over the bridge and kill the badniks then
Light Dash with the trail of winds you find.  Repeat and you'll be by some
robots.  Kill them and Light Dash again.  Cross the energy bridge, kill the
enemy, and press the switch to open the door.  Home attack the enemy and use
Sonic's Triangle Jump (Home attack the wall and press the A Button a lot) to
cross the second gap, Light Dash to cross the first.

Home attack the enemies, get the balloons, and fall down the pit.  There's
another turtle enemy ahead; do the usual to destroy it.  Press the switch that
you access and walk through the door.  There are more enemies to kill, a level
to get, and a spring.  Bounce up and follow the path to a robot you must kill,
then open the door by pressing the switch.  Get the item box and boost across
the gap.  You land on a checkpoint.

By the pole use the Blue Tornado to swing on it.  Repeat at the next pole to
enter a new tier of the room.  Cross the energy path and home attack then Light
Dash to a new room.  Keep heading up and Light Dash at the trail of rings you
find, kill the robot and press the switch.  Walk through the door and do your
pole trick, then boost up and hit the checkpoint.

Get into the cannon with Sonic and you'll be grinding for the first time.  Press
B and hold it to go faster.  Keep on the first one, spring to the balloon, keep
going and Light Dash to a new rail, and grind until you reach a spring by a pole.
Use Blue Tornado to get up and you'll spring to some enemies.  Take them out and
a bridge will fall.  Cross it and use the boosters to get to a trail of rings
where you Light Dash.  Hit the boosters and you'll hit the Goal Ring.

                            |    Power Plant    |
                            +-------------------+

Escape from the chaotic plant!

This is much more difficult than the levels have been so far.  Start by running
straight down and boosting through a loop ball.  You'll land by a Speed Gate.
Go through the loops and you'll hit a spring that sends you to an energy bridge.
Cross it and kill Eggman's robots.  This triggers an air wall.  Walk by it and
you'll ascend to the next section of the room.  Thunder Shoot the enemy and fly
up the platforms to the next tier.  Kill this enemy and walk up to the air wall.
Kill the enemy in front of you to activate an energy bridge.  Cross it with
Sonic and you'll find another air wall.  In the next section switch to Tails,
hit the cage and enemies than fly to the ring-shaped thing that takes you up.
Kill the enemies and use the platforms to fly to the air wall.  Head left.
There is a checkpoint here.

Fly to another one of those little ring-shaped things that take you up and
follow the paths of balloons to an aerial booster.  When you land cross the
energy bridge and kill the robots as you go.  Near the end is an air wall.
Ascend and kill the badniks.  Press the switch and use the Blue Tornado on the
newly formed pole.  Kill the turtle with the usual means and use Tails to reach
the last platform where there is another flashy ring shaped thing that goes up,
which I will now call flashers.  Fly to the block and onto the rails, eventually
reaching a spring.  Bounce up and boost to a new room.  As the elevator rises
collect balloons and rings, Light Dash, and kill enemies.  At the top is a
turtle to kill and an energy bridge to form.  When you have done both cross the
bridge and go through the loops.  You'll land at a bridge you should descend.
There are more loops that spring to an energy bridge.  Before you is a
checkpoint.

Boost (Avoiding the large weight) up the half-loop and kill the irksome turtle.
Use the air wall to reach a new section.  Behind this wall is the Special Stage
Key.  When you have it float into the spring and run across the bridge.  Take
the left-most flasher up to the new platform and at the end of it is a spring.
Avoid the fireballs in this room and head up the energy bridge to a booster.
With Tails kill the enemies in the room and use the air wall.  Kill the turtle
and use Tails to climb up the various platforms.  Center yourself at this next
air wall to avoid fireballs and ascend.  Kill the turtle and boost.  Kill more
badniks and use the platform that appears to get to the next tier.  Switch to
Sonic and home attack the enemies.  When you reach the second platform home
attack in the direction of the green enemy but under him and you'll be by a
turtle.

Kill it and switch to Tails to get to the booster on the other side of the room.
You boost by a few enemies.  Every time you kill one a platform appears.  Kill
them all and get to the top where you should gather the item boxes.  Use the
Blue Tornado on the pole to reach the infamous checkpoint.

Boost to the elevator and like before defeat enemies as you go, collect rings
and capsules, and Light Dash a lot.  At the top use Tails to fly over to the new
room and kill the enemies, then cross the energy bridge.  Another loop sequence
is activated.  At the end fall to the rings and head straight ahead.  Another
turtle, another air wall.  Go up to the checkpoint.

Get the Special Stage Key you find here and switch to Tails and boost into the
next room.  The lava or acid is rising so go quick!  Go through the boosters
until you reach a homing attack opportunity and a trail of rings.  Light Dash,
switch to Tails, and go through the aerial booster to the flasher.  When you
rise go to the platform to the left.  Keep going until you kill a robot.
Continue to reach a flasher and another, then fly to hit a spring and another
spring.  Kill the two robots and step on the switch.  The goal ring is dead
ahead.

                          +-----------------------+

Easy just doesn't say it for this one.  Amy has found you and has decided to
force you into marriage.  Well, Sonic won't stand for that!  To beat them just
knock them off the course.  This is simple enough.  Get levels and they'll be
blown away, literally.  Pretty much as far as fighting goes, power beats flight,
flight beats speed, and speed beats power.  If you get into flight immediately
and use Thunder Shoot you can win pretty quick.  For an easy A rank though get
in the center of the platform and use the Blue Tornado over and over.  They'll
jump into it and be cast off the platform.  Easy.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Casino Park    |
                            +-------------------+

Dash through the giant theme park!

Sonic and the boys are talking about his crazed girlfriend when Sonic decides to
take a break.  Head forward into the cannon ahead of you with Sonic and get to
the top of the pinball machine with the flippers.  When you land take out the
bunny robots and continue until you see green balls hovering in midair.  Home
attack them to get around and press the switch to make rings appear.  Light Dash
across and kill the turtle you find.  Pull the switch to open the door and get
the Special Stage Key.  Then get Knuckles out and attack the glass floor.  Fall
through to a pinball machine.  It is hard to describe these, so just reach the
bottom which leads you to a sort of loop that leads to a new pinball machine.
Play around and when you're ready reach the top of the left side of the machine
to exit.  You'll land on a checkpoint.

Crush the metal crates with Knuckles and get the invincibility.  Now get up by
using the springs on the side of the wall and kick the enemies' butts!  When
you're through hit the casino chip thing with Knuckles and you'll be launched
onto a roulette wheel, or above one anyway.  When you fall in keep rolling and
you'll enter another tube thing that ultimately leads to another pinball machine.
Get to the top to leave and head left to a hint ring.  Don't bother triggering
it, it was more of a landmark.  Jump to the floating dice with Tails.  Follow
the dice to the last one and jump to the right onto the pinball machine.  Get
into the tunnel under the upper rightmost slot machine and fall to the spring.
Bounce up and use Team Blast on the enemies (Or kill them regularly) and in Fly
Formation pull the switches.  Kill the badnik before you and crush the glass
with Knuckles.  Fall down and kill the enemies then fly up to the platform by
the Formation Signal.  There's the next checkpoint.

Hit it and with Knuckles hit the checker piece thing ahead of you to catapult to
some boosters.  You'll probably still be Knuckles, so aim the cannon and launch
yourself at the pinball machine.  Get to the top and you'll fall to a new
pinball machine.  Get to the top again and you'll fall to a checkpoint.

Fall to the springs and kill the badniks.  Notice the staircase.  You can't
enter, but Espio on Team Chaotix can.  Keep going to the left or right and boost
away.  Make sure you got the Team Blast Ring and use it on the enemies you find
after springing up.  When they're all dead fly up with Tails to the switch and
pull it out to open the door.  Deploy Knuckles on the glass floor and fall
through.  You'll fall on a slanting platform to another pinball machine.  This
time reach the bottom.  You'll fall to a half-tunnel that leads to a platform
with the Goal Ring on it.

                           +---------------------+
                           |    BINGO Highway    |
                           +---------------------+

Blast down the high-speed slides!

I hate this level.  There is little I can write about, but I'll tell you here
how Bingo works.  Collect chips, they go up to nine, and if they make a straight
line consisting of three chips diagonally, horizontally, or vertically then you
get chips.  However, the boards are oddly configured and the numbers are out of
order.  Now then, reach the bottom of this slide avoiding obvious pitfalls and
you'll reach a half-tube kind of thing.  It takes you to a pinball machine.
Fall to the bottom and another series of tubes open up.

At the end of this is solid ground.  Kill the enemies and bounce up the sides of
the wall with the springs.  Kill the flying enemy and any enemies it may have
summoned to open the door and use Triangle Jump at the fan to ascend.  Kill the
badniks, get the Special Stage Key, and break through the glass with Knux (Short
for Knuckles).  You'll fall down a slide and spring up to a new area.  Use
Knuckles to kill the enemy and press the switch.  Fly to the dice with Tails and
right into the checkpoint.

With the red echidna hit the checker thing and more Bingo ensues.  Great...  At
the end is a half-tube you must go down.  It leads to a pinball machine.  Reach
the top to exit and home attack the badniks you encounter.  Get on the dice and
kill the badnik above, then walk the path.  Jump across the dice; do not fall on
pain of pinball.  At the end is a checkpoint.

Hit the spring and bounce into a tunnel leading to springs which lead to enemies.
Massacre the lot of them and press the switch to open the door.  Kill the badnik
at the end of the tunnel and Triangle Jump at the fan to hover upwards.  Bounce
off the bouncy squares to reach the balloon, which contains invincibility.  Use
it to make short work of the robots.  Press the switch to open the door and hit
the glass floor, killing all enemies in sight.  More Bingo.  At the end is
another half-tube which leads to, wait for it, and more pinball.  Reach the
bottom to exit and you'll be in a room crammed with springs.  Go across it and
kill the robots.  Then bounce up the wall.  A checkpoint is right at the top
surrounded by a few rings.

Have Knux hit the checker thing and bounce on the bounce on the springs.
Beneath the glass under a crate in the upper left room is a switch you must
press.  Go onto the dice and ride it to the top, moving from die to die.  At the
top is a tube that leads to wretched Bingo slides.  This is pretty tough, so
leaving one character behind go through.  At the end is a half-tube.  Go up onto
a pinball machine.  At the bottom is a ramp that leads to another machine.  Keep
going and you'll reach yet another half-tube.  This level should end soon.
You'll reach a pinball machine.  Break the bouncy squares at the top to fall
into a tunnel containing the Goal Ring.

                        |    Boss: Robot Carnival    |
                        +----------------------------+

Basically, this boss is just Eggman summoning a whole lot of robots to finish
you.  The first wave is filled with common flying enemies.  The second is the
same.  Between waves hit the spring and home for the balloon for a Team Blast
Ring.  Anyway, the third wave is a mix between metal spearmen and flying enemies.
Kill them all and the fourth wave is released.  This is a group of flying robots
lined up to be easy to home attack.  The fifth wave is comprised of electric
flying robots.  Just use Thunder Shoot on these.  Next is just a bunch of metal
infantry and some bomb-dropping flying enemies.  Next is more flying enemies.
The eighth wave is a bunch of those jellyfish enemies who can abduct you.  The
ninth wave is a lot of turtles.  I suggest using Team Blast on them.  The tenth
wave is a bunch of flyers.  Thunder Shoot them.  The eleventh wave consists of
one turtle, several flyers, and two infantry units.  For number twelve many
metal gunners appear.  Use Knux to take them out.  There are only twelve waves.
Afterward Eggman says they were the easy ones.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Rail Canyon    |
                            +-------------------+

Head for the terminal station!

You'll be grinding down a rail filled with rings and boosters.  Jump across
rails for extra rings and at the end of the rails is a spring and a checkpoint.

That was short, wasn't it?  Anyway, head onto the energy rails and kill the
robots on the platform you reach.  By the way, for anyone who hasn't caught on
yet this is Eggman's base of operations.  The Special Stage Key is on this
platform as well as a flasher you must take up.  Grind down the rail and hit the
switch to make energy rails appear and on the next platform kill the enemies.
Boost to the switches then grind the energy rails to a spring which leads to a
rail.  Go through the three rings for bonus points and land on another rail.
This leads to a spring.  Home attack the balloon for a barrier and land on the
checkpoint.

Kill the badniks and use the Blue Tornado on the pole.  Hit the switch and kill
the enemies you find.  Then grab a rail and grind.  Jump to the rails to the
right to avoid the bull trains and eventually those to the left.  You must jump
again later.  At the end you should jump to the platform to avoid the bull train.
On the platform Light Dash for some rings and then use the Blue Tornado on the
pole in the back.  Kill the enemy and Light Dash to a new platform.  Have each
of the teammates stand on switches so you cover all three.  This disables the
lasers.  Go where the lasers were and use Tails to fly through the booster to
the checkpoint.

Hit the spring to bounce to a rail.  Keep Fly Formation active so you can fly if
you fall. Keep grinding on the middle rail to go through three rings.  At the
end some armored trains that look more like rhinoceroses appear.  Don't worry
about them unless you're somehow on that rail.  Keep going and soon you'll fall
off that rail to another one.  The rail explodes so fly up to the one above.
Jump to the platform with the half-rails that have boosters because they boost
you to the checkpoint.

Fly through the aerial booster and kill the enemies.  Hit the switch and get on
the energy rail.  Keep grinding until a bull train approaches, at which time you
need to jump to the side.  If you took the left hit all three switches with
different people to open a spring.  Jump on it to go to the above platform.
Assuming you took the right use the flasher to get up and kill the enemy in the
tunnel.  A spring becomes available so use it to get to the platform.  On the
said platform is the checkpoint.

Kill the badniks and go to the fan to use Triangle Dive.  Ascend to the central
rail and as you go forward jump to hit a switch.  This causes a red energy rail
to appear.  Take it and dodge the bull trains as they threaten you.  In the end
you'll spring to a checkpoint.  Take either rail and jump when it explodes to
reach a rail booster that sends you to a platform with robots on it.  Kill them
and use Thunder Shoot to hit the target.  Use the Blue Tornado on the newly
formed pole and keep grinding until you reach a hangar.  It is good to use Tails
to fly over the Hangar and walk on it.  When on the roof jump through the
opening to the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Bullet Station    |
                           +----------------------+

Destroy Eggman's Base!

You start on a rail.  Grind to the end where you must kill the robots.  Then
with Sonic use the wall trick where you home attack the wall and press the A
Button to jump.  Jump high enough and you'll reach the other side.  With
Knuckles destroy the pods and enemies until you reach a circular rail.  Avoid
the armored trains and jump to a new platform.  Don't get on the rail.  To the
side is safety and the Special Stage Key.  Switch to Tails and fly to the top of
building, then to Knuckles to take out the grated ceiling section.  You'll fall
to a checkpoint.

Head forward and have Knuckles attack the engine of the train.  There'll be an
explosion.  Congratulations, you just destroyed your first section of Eggman's
base.  The rails are really just for his trains.  Now, grind on the left or
right rail, not the center, and a spring will take you to a new rail.  With
Tails jump down to the platform from here to avoid pointless rail time.  With
Tails enter the cannon.  You'll be shot up.  Destroy the robots and activate the
switch to the right (From the angle of the cannon).  Go to the rail starting
point to the left and grind up.  Keep grinding until you reach the checkpoint
and some armored trains.

Take a rail one of the trains is on and use it to get to a platform with a fan
at the end.  Triangle Dive into the fan and ascend to a pole you must use your
Blue Tornado on.  You'll be on a rail.  Move to avoid an armored train and on
the next tier press the three switches.  Go through the tunnel and use Knux to
break open the grated path.  Kill the badniks and use Sonic on the cannon.  Now,
using Tails, and killing enemies as you go, cross the narrow catwalk to the
right and fly behind the fence.  Destroy the pods and press all three switches
beneath.  Fly back over the fence and enter the door you opened.  Welcome to the
internal mechanism of the cannon, as Tails put it.  Jump in and you'll be fired
through the canyon wall.  Here's what to do.  Move about to get balloons.  At
the end you'll land on a rail.  Grind down and at the end Triangle Dive by the
fan.  Keep doing so and you'll reach the checkpoint.

Light Dash using the rings and grab hold of the flasher.  Use Knuckles to break
the ceiling and fall into the train station.  Grind to the second train and fly
to the third.  To get to the fourth use the Blue Tornado.  Now for this next
section you can fly, but it is a total risk.  For guaranteed good result use
Sonic's wall grab ability.  At the end have Knuckles destroy his second engine
core.  You'll be launched into a cart.  This is a little more difficult than the
carts we rode way back in Ocean Palace.  Each time you get hit you lose a
character from the cart.  Losing Sonic makes you slow, losing Tails prevents
jumping, and losing Knuckles makes you die.

Jump over lasers and collect rings.  At the end it looks like you're going to
crash into the bull train but the place explodes and you fall to a new rail.
Get into Fly Formation and press each of the three switches on this platform.
Jump into the cannon here and do what we did before.  You'll be shot straight
into the base, causing it to explode.  You'll bounce to a platform with many
pods on it.  In the center is the Goal Ring.

                        |    Boss: Egg Albatross    |
                        +---------------------------+

Like its distant and now estranged cousin the Egg Hawk, this is a bird that
requires you destroy it.  The difference is Eggman doesn't stop at arenas this
time.  Use Sonic as your main character and Light Dash often.  Attack the ship,
the wings are most vulnerable and should be your first target.  Home them and
when you're done with them the Egg Albatross becomes more of an Egg Blimp.
Attack the rotary propeller and Eggman's true colors are revealed.  It's the Egg
Hawk!  Like last time attack the head around the cockpit and in no time you've
got him beat.  Unfortunately, this Eggman is a decoy.  Eggman introduces his Air
Fleet, while we are shown that it was Metal Sonic studying the three in the
battle.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Frog Forest    |
                            +-------------------+

Get through the forest where the wild animals live!

This and the next world are filler levels, not really important at all.  Anyway,
you start on vine rails that end with three rings.  Hit the bouncy fruits and
bounce to the next tiers, then boost your way up the loops.  You'll end where
you jump to the platforms until you reach a frog, who will summon rain.  This
causes the plants to grow, so bounce off the bouncy plant to the vine rail.  At
the end use the vines to swing to the balloons.  You'll fall to a turtle.  Kill
him and bounce up to the frog using the fruit.  Use the series of mushrooms to
reach the checkpoint.

By the crates is the Special Stage Key.  Use the aerial booster with Tails to
get to the platform then fly to the platform with the frog.  Cause rain and jump
to the upper platform that appears, then to the one with the mushroom across the
gap.  Hit the checker thing with Knuckles and you'll go through a Speed Gate and
then through many loops, triggering rain with a frog as you go.  At the end of
the series you should be on a large yellow platform by an aerial booster which
you should jump through.  Bounce up and jump to the checkpoint.

Fly to the mushroom ahead and bounce to the upper section.  Jump through the
aerial booster to a ring item box and then assume Speed Formation.  Use the Blue
Tornado to grab hold of the flower.  Go into the large mushroom and you'll fall.
Get the balloon and you'll hit a booster that sends you to a vine rail.  Using
the vine swing get to the lower platform.  Boost to the platform to the left and
kill the badniks you find.  Then activate the frog's effect and bounce to the
yellow platforms.  Then using Tails fly from platform to platform until you
reach the upper green platform.  There is a target in the vicinity; Thunder
Shoot it for a 1-UP and fly to the next platform.  Repeat for a Team Blast Ring,
then fly to the platform with the frog (You need to make two jumps, one to a
mid-platform).  Make it rain and then jump to the platform that grows on the
vine.  Repeat to get a balloon and use the Blue Tornado to use a flower again.
You'll stop by a frog.  Make it rain and use the bouncy fruits to grab a vine
swing and swing to another platform.  Light Dash to the checkpoint.

Light Dash again and use the boosters to go on the vine rails.  You'll go
through the three rings and land on another vine.  Soon the vine stops and you
enter a loop sequence.  Bounce on the fruits to the platform with three robots
and decimate them all.  Activate the frog's effect and get on the vine.  It
grows as you grind.  Take it to the Goal Ring.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Lost Jungle    |
                            +-------------------+

Venture through the deepest part of the jungle!

Follow the rings until you see a huge armored monster.  Use Knuckles to fight
him.  Throw Sonic and Tails at him to beat him.  When you're finished get the
barrier and fly to the mushroom before you.  On the vine swing head up onto a
mushroom and onto the platform.  Grind on the vine rail and you'll see a black
frog.  His rains kill the plants.  You can do nothing to avoid this.  Continue
to the next tier of the level and Light Dash the few rings on the trail.  Spring
up and you find a new enemy.  Use Tails to Thunder Shoot it and Knuckles to
punch it.  Under it is the Special Stage Key.  Fly up and onto the platform and
follow it to the checkpoint.

Follow the trail to a balloon.  Get it and continue.  After a loop or two a vine
rail will send you.  You probably won't land on it, and if you do jump off.
There's another armored beast you must destroy.  Hit the mushroom and you'll see
another black frog.  Follow the path until you reach a jellyfish enemy.  Kill it
with Tails and fly to the platform behind it.  Continue doing so until you reach
some wooden crates.  There are five rings beneath.  Follow the path to a badnik
and a vine swing.  Swing to the next level and home attack the bouncy fruits.
Switch to Tails and keep flying up to the next level of the tree.  Soon you'll
reach a spring on a vine.  Hit it and you will bounce several times to the
checkpoint.

With Tails jump to the vine swing and with Knux kill the armored beast.
Activate the green frog to make it rain and follow the path for a few loops.
Kill the enemies and boost.  You'll activate the black frog; spring to the main
island to avoid drowning.  Another black frog lurks ahead.  Skip over him and
use the Blue Tornado on the flower at the end of the path.  You'll fly near a
black frog and fall to the main land when he makes rain.  Kill the enemies as
you encounter them to free up a mushroom and bounce on it to a side trail.  The
checkpoint is up ahead.

Sprint around the mushroom and use Team Blast on the two armored beasts.  Then
hit the mushroom and run for more loops.  You'll make a green frog make it rain
at the end.  Use the mushroom that grows to get to the mainland and you'll
encounter the black frog, notorious for his evil rain.  Kill the enemy and fly
to the island ahead.  Kill the robots, use the mushrooms to cross the gap, and
kill the armored monster.  Use the mushroom to get to the checkpoint.

Now this is what separates the hedgehogs from the mice.  Use the Blue Tornado on
the flower and you'll fly through a mushroom thing.  Hit balloons as you pass by
them and you'll fly to an armored beast.  Kill it and head to the right with
Tails.  Fly from platform to platform and kill the enemies at the end.  Activate
the rain and use the mushroom to take the vine to the left.  A jellyfish is here
and a captive frog.  Kill the jellyfish and flying enemy, make it rain, and use
Tails to go from yellow platform to yellow platform.  Have Sonic home attack the
bouncy fruit and then Knuckles hit the checker thing.  Kill the jellyfish you
find and go around to activate a switch.  I almost always die on this.  The view
is terrible.  Light Dash across the gap and you'll activate black rain.  Follow
the path to a checkpoint.

The green frog will negate the ill effects of the black rain.  Grind on the vine
to a booster and boost to a large yellow mushroom.  This is the tough part.  It
is easy for me now, but when I played this for the first time I died.  Several
black frogs are trying to kill you by using black rain to make the platforms
dissipate.  Hit the switch quickly to get onto the vine and the monster of the
swamp, a huge alligator or crocodile appears to eat you!  Ignore any
inaccuracies this section may contain and keep pressing A to swing, it goes on
forever.  At the end you'll swing to the Goal Ring.

                          |    Boss: Team Dark    |
                          +-----------------------+

Seeing Shadow the trio just had to battle him.  For a quick win get in the
center of the platform and use the Blue Tornado many times.  You'll win in no
time with an easy A rank.  I did it in 28 seconds.  Was that easy or was that
easy?

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Hang Castle    |
                            +-------------------+

Infiltrate the mysterious castle!

Was Shadow a ghost?  Maybe to Tails, but you've got to get to the Air Fleet
before Eggman unleashes whatever it is the letter said.  Once again, this is a
filler level.  Dash down the trail and you'll boost to a platform.  The doors
open when you kill them, so go through and touch the glowing orb.  The castle
will be turned upside down.  In Fly Formation rise up and kill the badniks.
Light Dash with Sonic to the new platform.  Hit the central wooden crate and
press the switch.  Touch the glowing orb again to turn the castle right side up.
The Special Stage Key is in this room.  Run through the loops and spring up to
the checkpoint.

With Knuckles crush the crates and fall into the room.  Crush the crates again
for a barrier, then press the glowing orb once more.  Grind on to a spring and
kill the evil wizard robot.  Then fly to the next platform and as Tails walk
onto the air between the fires.  This is solid.  At the end kill the robot,
press the switch, and Light Dash.  Now, still as Tails, go over to the
levitating platform and take it across to the tunnel shaped structure.  Within
is another glowing orb.  Press it and the world is right side up again.  The
door is open now.  Enter and kill the badniks that appear.  Hit the checker
switch thing and you'll be launched onto a platform with a flying enemy on it.
Head to the booster and grind away to the checkpoint.

Light Dash to the boosters and a high-speed dash to a booster will ensue.
You'll fall to a glowing orb.  When the world is upside down this time you'll
fall into the sky but a booster will catch you and send you onto a rail.  Grind
a bit and as Tails fly to the hovering platform and onto the next one.  The
robots have searchlights, trigger them and more enemies appear.  Hit them and
Thunder Shoot the targets.  Now this is tough.  Fly to the stone block at the
end without falling.  Take it to the next platform and kill the badniks.  Press
the glowing orb.  Go backwards and press the switch to make many rings appear.
Get them and continue forward.  Follow the flames on the invisible path ahead.
When at the end hit the wall open to the right with Knuckles for some rings and
then fly up with Tails to pull the switch.  Keep going forward through the door
and use Knuckles to crack open the wall.  Get the barrier and fly up to kill the
evil wizard robot.  The doors open revealing the checkpoint.

Get the ring capsule and go to the back of the tower.  Kill the two metal
badniks and fall in the pit where there is a glowing orb.  Follow the rings into
the tower and ascend the stairs, killing enemies as you go.  When all are dead
touch the glowing orb.  Destroy the two wooden crates and pull the switch with
Tails.  Then use Sonic to Light Dash.  Kill the badniks to open the door and
walk through.  A statue of Eggman serves as a landmark.  Hit the targets with
Thunder Shoot and touch the glowing orb.  Hit the target and use the Blue
Tornado on the pole.  Use Knuckles to break down the wall and enter.  Kill the
enemies and grind down the rail.  Jump through the three rings while avoiding
spikes and collecting balloons, and you'll boost to the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Mystic Mansion    |
                           +----------------------+

Escape from the haunted castle!

Now we're inside.  Immediately before you are enemies to destroy.  There is a
picture of Whale Island in here (From Seaside Hill).  Thunder Shoot the target
and kill the badnik to open the door.  Grind up the rail and kill the enemy to
open the door.  In this room there is a bunch of creates, under which is a
switch.  Hit it and touch the glowing orb.  Deploy Knuckles on the enemies to
open the door and before you are weights and the Special Stage Key.  Use Tails
to fly from weight to weight (Don't stand on the shadow) and hit the checkpoint.

Press the switch to open the door.  There are several enemies in here.  Destroy
all the opponents, save up for a Team Blast, and press the glowing orb.  All
paintings become enemies.  Use Team Blast right away to finish them.  Switch to
Sonic and use the Blue Tornado on the pole.  Kill the sorcerer robot and get the
20 rings.  Then get into the cart.  Like before, if you lose Tails you can't
jump and if you lose Sonic you are slow.  Lose Knuckles and it's all over.  Jump
over lasers and enemies and you'll be cast into a cart.  Continue until it's
over and pass through the checkpoint.

The Special Stage Key is in the wooden crate to the right.  Kill the badnik to
open the door.  Inside is a skeleton.  With Tails hit the glowing orb to the
right.  Jump from platform to platform.  Hit the glowing orb and take the spider
web to the left.  Take the flasher up and grind up the stairs.  Walk through the
hall and kill the sorcerer robot.  Assume Power Formation to crush the wall.
There will be a ring capsule in here.  Crush the wall again and once more.
Activate the switch and Triangle Dive with Knux to reach the upper hallway.
Grind up the rail and fall into the pit.  You'll bounce up and see a switch.
Fly up with Tails and pull it.  Like an idiot Sonic asks what the glowing switch
does, as if he didn't learn from before.  Hit it and the statues come to life.
Butcher them and the door will open.  Kill the robot and the door will open.
Use Team Blast on the large armored robot and hit the glowing switch in the
fountain.  Jump over the rail and you'll fall to a balloon and get a checkpoint.

With Tails jump to the cart and you'll do the usual cart thing.  The armored
trains will come over and fire at you but it doesn't matter.  When you get to
the rail have Tails jump to the red rail, or face certain doom.  Another trolley,
as Tails calls it, is ahead.  Jump over the ghosts and lasers right to the
checkpoint.

Kill the badnik and the doors will open.  Enter and kill them once again.  Hit
the glowing orb and allow Sonic to do his usual wall grab technique.  Fall to
the spider web rail, but switch to Fly Formation so you can jump around and fly
around to platform.  Fly to the weight and enter the new room.  Kill the enemy
and descend down the well with the flasher.  Have each of the teammates press
the switch and then Light Dash.  We'll start with speed here.  Take the left
bridge and hit the glowing orb.  Use Homing Attack on all the orbs to get across
the gap.  Now with Knuckles leading do cross the bridge to the orb where the
formation signal indicates to use Power.  Use Triangle Dive to cross here and
kill the armored beast at the end.  Now take the path to the yellow glowing orb.
Defeat the enemies and hit the glowing orb.  You're outside and it's morning.
Hit the Goal Ring.

                         +-------------------------+
                         |    Boss: Robot Storm    |
                         +-------------------------+

Like Robot Carnival, Eggman just summons a bunch of badniks to deal with you.  I
won't bother with the whole "waves of enemies" as I did in Robot Carnival, I'll
just tell you what I do.  You have nothing to worry about with the first four
waves.  For the first just home attack and for the second and third use Knuckles.
A glowing orb appears.  Touch it and use Team Blast on the turtles.  Use
Knuckles for the next wave and the next.  The cannon is available.  Enter with
Sonic and use Knuckles on the infantry and Tails on the flying enemies.  When
the three armored beasts appear use Team Blast.  Touch the glowing orb and home
attack the many flying enemies.  Make sure you don't launch through them and
fall to your death.  Next a few jellyfish appear.  Beat them down and the
armored trains with homing attacks.  Then some infantry will fall.  Take them
down.  Get in the cannon in Speed Formation.  Now, Team Blast!  You've won.

                             +-----------------+
                             |    Egg Fleet    |
                             +-----------------+

Get to Eggman's flagship!

The final level is here!  Enjoy.  We start out with a cool cinema (Team Rose
ruins it).  You start running through cannon fire, which you obviously avoid.
At the end of the starting speed boost you are sent to a mid-air rail.  It leads
to another ship.  Run up the path and kill the enemies as you approach them.
When you do this the door opens.  Head down and use the Blue Tornado on the pole.
Now we're on the third ship.  Use the spring to bounce into the hallway.  At the
end is a cannon.  Jump in with Sonic.  Destroy the cannon to the right to reveal
a spring.  Bounce to the upper tier and grind that rail.  At the end switch to
Knuckles and use Triangle Dive on the fan.  Get the 1-UP and continue to the
next rail.  At the end you'll be on a new ship.  The Special Stage Key is here.
Hit the spring and bounce to the checkpoint.

Switch to Tails and fly from platform to platform to the ship to the right.  Now
Light Dash in the hall and you'll start grinding.  Run forward on the ship and
kill the badniks.  One is a shield robot; impossible to hit when it has its
shield up.  Use Thunder Shoot to disable the shield and Knuckles to take his
life.  After this the door opens.  Go in and use the Blue Tornado on that
propeller.  Get balloons and avoid cannon fire.  Pretty much listen to Tails
saying "Up" and "Down" should hint at where to go.  At the end you'll land on a
battleship and the checkpoint.

Use Knuckles to punch out the main cannon along the way.  A spring is under it,
so bounce up and Triangle Dive into the fan.  Now switch to Tails and fly to the
upper platform.  You'll be in a tiny hallway that you must fall from onto a
platform with a huge cannon.  Destroy the cannon to reveal a spring.  Bounce up
and use the Blue Tornado on the pole.  Destroy the cannon and the enemy, another
shield robot.  When you're done the doors open the hallway.  Go in and welcome
to just about the only time you'll ever need Rocket Accel.  Hold B and shoot
under the lasers.  At the end the ship will explode.  You'll grind down,
possibly through the three rings if you make it, and land on a platform.  Use
Triangle Dive to get to a glass platform that has a rail above it.  Grind to the
end and jump to large platform.  Kill off the enemies and press the switch to
activate the fan.  Keep Triangle Diving and soon you'll reach a series of huge
fans.  Follow them to the checkpoint.

Use the booster in front of you to blast off.  On the new ship another booster
will launch you into the hallway.  Light Dash to get to the next ship and spring
to the rail in front of you.  It will send you by some cannons, probably
directly in its line of fire.  Spring up and destroy the evil cannon and spring
to the next ship.  Destroy the cannons as you go until you reach the hallway.
Grind to the checkpoint.

Use the Blue Tornado on the propeller.  Stay up to avoid the cannon fire, then
down, then up, then down, then down, and you're done.  You'll fall to another
ship, the flagship.  Hit the checkpoint.

Light Dash across the ship and use Knuckles to destroy both main cannons.  The
second concealed a spring.  Bounce to the next level, a giant fan.  Triangle
Dive to the top and kill the badnik that appears.  Then use the fox with two
tails to fly to the top of the platforms.  This ship is built just like the
other battle ship we destroyed.  Jump down and destroy the cannon then use the
Blue Tornado.  Destroy the enemy robot and go up the path.  Once again use
Rocket Accel to destroy the ship.  There is no Goal Ring, but you just won.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Final Fortress    |
                           +----------------------+

Destroy the flagship's core!

We've destroyed so many bases.  This is the last.  You start on a rail that
leads to a collapsing platform.  Spring up and Light Dash to the other rail.
You'll be blasted to the top of the roof with an armored robot on it.  Kill the
monster hit the switch.  Light Dash across the void and use Tails to get the
balloon and jump to a lower platform with the checkpoint on it.

Jump to the lower collapsing platform.  Now get out Sonic and use the wall
technique where you home in on it to fall to the lower balloon and onto the main
pathway.  Run down with Knux and crush the block to reveal a booster.  Boost and
you'll be face to face with an armored robot.  Kill it.  Press the switch and
use the Blue Tornado on the pole.  Jump off the rail to the platform with the
pole (Which has the Special Stage Key on it) and use the Blue Tornado once more.
Use it again on the next pole and grind with Tails to the collapsing platform.
Fly to the platform branded with Eggman's face and fly on top of the large
weight.  Fly once more to the above hallway, kill the robot, and deploy Knuckles
on the iron crates.  Fall through and destroy the blocks to reveal boosters.
Kill the badniks where you're boosted and fall through the pit to another spring.
Spring to the upper area and avoid the lasers.  Kill the enemy at the end and
use Tails to fly over the lasers to the checkpoint.

One of the flying cages in here contains the Special Stage Key.  Jump onto the
large switch and ka-boom!  Normally I hate cliche terms like that but that was
necessary.  You'll be on a rail system that has spelled the demise for many a
game player.  Lasers will appear to shoot you.  Jump to avoid them onto the
available rail.  Personally, this is very difficult later because Eggman starts
sending lasers that can change from one to the other.  Have Tails out so you can
fly if you fall.  The first go to the center, second go to the left or right,
and at the end fall to the lower level and decimate the robots.  Use Thunder
Shoot on the target and Triangle Dive at the fan.  Use Sonic's wall technique to
jump around to the upper tier.  Kill the lone robot defender and fall through
the pit.  Hit the switch and use the Blue Tornado on the pole.

Destroy the block and cannon and you'll be grinding.  Use Team Blast on the
enemy and cannons, then press the switches under the upper left, upper right,
and the lower right cannons.  Use Triangle Dive at the fan and kill the two
armored beasts.  Don't worry; they're the easy kind.  Press the switch and hit
the checker thing with Knuckles.  Grind backwards on the rail and use the Blue
Tornado on the pole.  Switch to Tails instantly and fly to the upper rail.  This
gives you a level up.  Continue, fall through the three rings, and at the end of
the rail sequence you'll be on the lowest platform.

Kill the robots and on the upper bar there is a switch.  Pull it and Triangle
Dive to the left platform.  Kill the armored beast and use the checker thing
with Knuckles.  This may seem like a good time to use Team Blast, but don't.  I
learned the hard way.  Kill the robots.  Use Thunder Shoot on the target and the
Blue Tornado on the pole.  There are three armor-clad robots here.  Use Team
Blast.  The door opens to reveal the fabled checkpoint.

Press the switch for another explosion.  After a rail loop sequence the lasers
begin again.  This is the hard part, not the first time we encountered these.
Avoid the lasers until the end where there is another switch.  Press it and
you'll be sent to the area with Goal Ring.

                         +-------------------------+
                         |    Boss: Egg Emperor    |
                         +-------------------------+

This can either be really easy, or very hard.  This is the final boss in the
Team Sonic Story.  You'll be on a catwalk above the cloud that goes on forever.
Get the levels at the start and avoid his sword attack.  Don't fall behind or
he'll charge you.  At the end of the first catwalk boost to the next and repeat
what you did, but at the end use Knuckles to hit the checker switch.  In the
first arena destroy all the cannons and badniks.  Then use Thunder Shoot on his
shield and get Knuckles out using Fire Dunk repeatedly or continue to use
Thunder Shoot until Eggman starts running away.  Follow and boost to the next
catwalk and repeat.  Egg Emperor has 150 health.  Whenever you can, use Team
Blast.  This makes the Team Dark fight very easy.  Also, although it takes way
too long, his shield can be destroyed.  My strategy is to destroy enemies on the
catwalk as I go to be able to use Team Blast and defeat him, but it can be done
either way.  Once you win Sonic runs from the love of his life, Amy.
Congratulations, you beat the Team Sonic story!

================================================================================
=============================Team Dark Walkthrough*=============================
================================================================================

Team Dark is the hardest story.  The game play is about the same as in Team
Sonic, but there are many more enemies.  It is the most important story, in my
eyes, as it is not just an adventure, but also a quest for knowledge, revenge,
and money.  Plus, you find out the secret behind Shadow.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Seaside Hill    |
                            +--------------------+

Get to the whale island!

You start out running along the shoreline in a speed session that ends at a
Power Gate, making Omega the team leader.  Kill the enemy at the end of the path
and spring up through the Fly Gate.  Jump to the spring and go through the Speed
Gate.  Run through the boosters and a loop sequence will ensue.  At the end
Light Dash at the trail of rings around the corner and kill the enemies.  Use
the spring to bounce up and take out the flying enemy.  It guarded a spring, so
use it to get to the upper level.  Two blocks are in your way.  Use Omega to
crush them and you'll see the Special Stage Key.  Get it and boost down the hill
with Shadow where the Formation Signal indicates speed.  A loop takes you to the
checkpoint.

Use Rouge to fly up to the next tier and Thunder Shoot the enemies.  Use Rouge
to fly up again and take out more flying enemies.  When you're done fly to the
top of the stone platform and get the balloon.  Go through the Speed Gate.  This
is your chance to practice Light Dash.  After several loops you'll be boosted to
an island.  Kill the badniks (Enemies) and with Shadow get in the cannon.
You'll bounce up to a balloon after being fired.  With Rouge bounce on the
spring in front of you and onto the series of stone platforms.  Fly to the end
and assume Speed Formation.  You'll boost into a cart.  Maneuver around to get
balloons and capsules.  At the end hit the spring and then home attack through
the aerial booster through the three rings.  You land at the foot of the
checkpoint.

Bounce on the springs ahead and kill the robots you find on the new level.
Switch to Rouge and fly onto the stone.  Take care of the enemies, fly to the
grassy ledge, and assume Power Formation.  Decimate robots as you encounter them
and then switch to Rouge.  Jump into the cannon, then onto the boosters.  You'll
go through a Power Gate.  Break the blocks ahead and continue doing so along the
path until you reach an aerial booster.  Boost and you'll see some flying
enemies.  Do to them as you did to the previous robots and follow the trail of
rings to two boosters.  You'll be launched up a slope and into the checkpoint.

Run down the slanted stone and through the booster and three rings.  You'll land
by flying enemies and they'll say "This is a job for Rouge".  Home attack them
with Shadow because it is easier and switch to Rouge to fly up either platform.
Fly, following the platforms, until you reach two blocks.  Use Omega to break
them and the enemies behind them.  Switch to Shadow and follow the path to a
series of loops.  At the end deploy Omega on the blocks and all future blocks in
the tunnel.  At the end of the tunnel kill off the robots and break the blocks
in here.  One has the Special Stage Key behind it.  With Shadow go into the
cannon and you'll spring up the tower and boost straight into another checkpoint.

There is a cart dead ahead.  Do as you did last time but avoid the spikes.  At
the end boost through the three rings and after a loop have Omega crush some
blocks.  Continue this until you jump to a new section of the path and continue
breaking robots and pummeling blocks.  You'll pass through a Speed Gate that
signals the start of a high-speed loop.  When you reach a spring you'll enter an
area with several flying enemies.  Home attack them and then touch the Goal Ring.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Ocean Palace    |
                            +--------------------+

Flee from the ancient ruins!

After a high-speed loop and booster session you'll be at a door.  Have Omega
break it open with a punch and kill the robots behind.  Break the stone ahead
and continue until you reach the Special Stage Key.  Get it and bounce to the
platform with four robot guards on it.  Shake them down and boost.  You'll pass
through a Speed Gate, but before you'll hit the checkpoint.

Boost down and stop to destroy a few robots.  With Omega use the Triangle Dive
at the fan and ascend to the next section.  Get Rouge out and bounce through an
aerial booster and a balloon to an area where the stone collapses.  Use Omega to
terminate the robots and open the door.  Pass through the tunnel until you reach
a spring.  Bounce up, kill the robots as you see them, and boost along the path.
At the end you'll boost into a spring and encounter more enemies on a stone path.
Use Omega once more and open the door.  Now, use Shadow to home attack the wall
to perform his wall technique.  Go through the three rings and you'll land on a
platform with two sleeping robots.  Pick them off and boost across the gap to a
checkpoint.

Boost over to the springs and home attack through the three rings.  Go through
the Speed Gate to the left and saunter on over across the path to a stairway.
Use E-123 on the door above and enter.  There are several robots to massacre.
Finish them and boost.  After a loop you'll boost to a turtle with a block on
its back, containing the elusive checkpoint.  Now with Shadow jump into the
cannon.  You'll bounce to a booster.  Boost through a few aerial boosters and
you'll land on a block with the Special Stage Key on it.  Get it and kill the
enemies.  Then pass through the Power Gate to a booster and destroy all the
badniks.  Boost again and repeat.  Go to the fan and Triangle Dive, then kill
the robots on the ground.  Boost once more and you'll hit a spring and before
that the checkpoint.

Bounce up and kill the robots.  Then get Rouge out, Thunder Shoot the enemies,
and get the balloon.  Use Omega to Triangle Dive and break the block on the
platform you're on to reveal a spring.  Spring up, kill the enemies, and deploy
Shadow.  Light Dash at the trail of rings to your upper-right and you'll bounce
to a fan.  Use Omega again to Triangle Dive and kill the enemies above.  Bounce
to the next tier and kill the enemies again.  Follow the rings to a booster.
Bust the door down and use Shadow's wall technique.  Bounce up at the end, Light
Dash, and kill more enemies.  Now, on the second highest platform here is the
checkpoint.

Hit the spring with Shadow and run.  There are two giant monster wheels chasing
you.  Run for you life.  Don't stop till you hit the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Boss: Egg Hawk    |
                           +----------------------+

Chase after Eggman in his bird vehicle and Light Dash often.  This is your first
opportunity for using Team Blast, by the way, which helps in all boss battles.
Follow the bird to the first sandy arena.  Attack the head area around the
cockpit to win.  You'll get a few hits in the first time, but you'll have to
repeat the process to win, most likely.  At the end Eggman will escape defeated.

                          |    Grand Metropolis    |
                          +------------------------+

Crush the city under the control of Eggman!

You start running down a slope and being boosted to an energy bridge.  Traverse
the bridge and loop until you reach a spring.  Bounce up, home attack the flying
enemy, and get the balloon.  Head left and boost up onto normal ground.  Home
attack the flying enemies and pass through the three rings.  You'll land at the
feet of two turtles.  Use Shadow's tornado attack (Jump and press A) to flip
over the turtles and attack their delicate bellies.  When done the bridge will
take form.  Cross it and kill the badniks at the end.  Then push in the switch
to the left to open the door.  Kill the robot and the energy bridge will appear.
Cross it and pass through the checkpoint.

Boost down the energy road and kill the flying enemy.  In the shadows of the
energy bridge is the Special Stage Key.  Get it and bounce up to destroy some
robots.  When done press the switch to open the door and get the item boxes.
Then head back to the energy bridge and continue.  At the end jump and hit the
two flying enemies then go through the three rings.  Go through the loops and
boost through the window and you'll be indoors.  Hit the checkpoint.

Kill the badniks and press the switch.  In the open door kill the enemies and
push the switch in.  In the other door kill the enemies and get the item box.
This makes you faster.  Run across the bridge and bounce on the spring.  Light
Dash here and home attack the enemy, then Light Dash.  Kill the green flying
enemy in front of you and Light Dash.  Head up the energy bridge, kill the
enemies, open the door by pushing in both switches, and enter the door.  There's
a turtle to kill.  When you're done with that jump through the aerial booster.
Kill the turtle here and use the booster to get across the gap.  Kill the flying
enemy and Light Dash into the balloon.  Cross the gap with a Light Dash and fall
down.  Kill the turtle robots with the Black Tornado and press the switch.

Go through the door and kill the badniks.  Get into Fly Formation and fly
through aerial booster onto the energy road.  Take it through the Power Gate and
kick those enemies' butts!  Press the switch when all are gone and the door
opens.  Punch the turtle here and boost across the room.  Kill the flying
enemies and Light Dash.  You'll fall to a pole.  Use the Black Tornado.  Run
through the Fly Gate and fly through the aerial booster.  Keep going until you
reach a spring.  Fly to the upper level and kill the turtle.  Under him is a
switch; press it.  Use the Black Tornado on the pole ahead, boost up, and into
the checkpoint.

With Rouge get into the cannon.  Get all the balloons and grind into the aerial
booster.  You'll be on a new rail.  Spring through the three rings and keep
grinding until you reach two enemies.  Home attack them, Light Dash, get the
balloon, and fall to the rail.  Keep grinding and you'll be sent into a room
with blimps.  Kill the enemies and press the switch.  Use the Black Tornado on
the pole, spring to the next spring, and you'll fall to the checkpoint.

Kill the badnik and the bridge will fall.  Cross it and kill the enemies.  Boost
to the energy bridge, go through a few loops, and jump through the three rings.
Boost through the aerial boosters and home attack the badniks for the balloon.
Kill the turtle and company then use Shadow to home attack the blue flying enemy
and launch through the aerial booster.  Avoid the weights, kill the turtle, and
boost.  Switch to Rouge and jump into the aerial boosters.  Then walk onto the
boosters and boost again.  Boost once more through the three rings and keep
boosting until you reach the Goal Ring.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Power Plant    |
                            +-------------------+

Escape from the chaotic plant!

Attack the homing enemies that lead you to a trail of rings.  Light Dash and
you'll fall at a Speed Gate.  Run down and jump into the three rings.  You'll
bounce to an energy bridge and enter a room filled with turtles.  Punch their
lights out and an air wall will become available.  Ascend and kill all the
badniks.  Then jump from platform to platform until you reach the third.  Jump
and take the flasher up then fly to the balloon.  Get it and attack the flying
enemies.  The energy bridge forms, so take it to the next air wall.  There are
two turtles here.  Beat them down and use Thunder Shoot on the enemies in the
next room.  Jump from platform to platform to reach the next room.  Kill the
enemies, go up using the air wall, and perform the Black Tornado on the pole.
You'll go to the checkpoint.

Get the speed capsule and bounce up using the springs ahead.  Use Team Blast on
the turtle army and enter the cannon with Shadow.  Get the balloon and Light
Dash onto the rail.  Grind onto the energy bridge and use the air wall to get up.
A character will say "There's someone there" to hint at the boss.  Kill the
enemies hit the switch.  Use the Black Tornado at the pole and kill the enemies
you toppled.  Once accomplished assume Fly Formation and reach the second
platform.  Light Dash to the Flasher.  Jump to the rail and grind to the floor.
Kill the badniks, climb the platforms, and at the top bounce on the spring.
Kill the flyers and boost to the elevator.  Get rings, balloons, enemy lives,
and at the end decimate the turtle and company.  The energy bridge will activate.
Go down for a few loops and kill the trio of flying enemies at the end.  Hit the
spring and fly around getting balloons.  When you're done grab the flasher above
the ramp and go to the energy road.  Take the one here and bounce at the spring
ahead.  You'll be in a room filled to the brim with fireballs.  Dodge them and
run into the checkpoint.

Run into the booster and kill the enemies in this room to activate the air wall.
Switch to Omega and take out the turtles at the top.  Take the platforms up and
use the air wall (Position yourself where there are no fireball shadows) to make
your ascension.  Take out the flying enemies and run through the boosters.  Kill
the next enemies with Team Blast and using the platform go to the checkpoint.

Jump over the cannon to the ground level.  Kill the enemies and spring to the
turtle.  Skip him and kill the enemies on the ground level.  Get the Team Blast
Ring and fly to the boosters.  Kill the turtles and other enemies you meet and
use the Black Tornado on the pole at the top.  Hit the booster and another
elevator rises.  Do like you did last time and at the top kill the flying
enemies.  An energy bridge forms.  Follow the path for a few loops and fall into
a new section.  Light Dash and kill the enemies in this room.  Do this by using
Team Blast.  Wait for the time to wear off and go up using the air wall.  At the
top is a checkpoint.

The Special Stage Key is under the metal crates.  Use the booster with Rouge and
like in the Sonic walkthrough fly from layer to layer quickly until you reach
flying enemies.  Home attack to get to the other side and Light Dash to the next
tier.  Fly through the aerial booster and onto the flasher.  Destroy the robots
and grab the flasher.  Take the flasher at the end and spring to a grated floor
area.  Kill the enemies and spring up and out of this evil room.  The Goal Ring
is ahead.

Easy just doesn't say it.  Get in the center of the platform and use the Black
Tornado to take out the enemies.  Blow them off the field and you win.  It's
tough to blow Vector off the field, so just home attack him a lot.  I won in 22
seconds with an A rank.

                            |    Casino Park    |
                            +-------------------+

Blast through the giant theme park!

I hate this level!  Bounce up and head forward.  Kill the enemy and boost.
You'll be in a pinball machine.  Get to the top to exit it and kill the badniks
here.  Ahead is a series of bouncy squares.  Bounce across, killing the enemy,
and reaching the other side.  Kill the enemy on this side and use Shadow to home
attack the ball and Light Dash.  You'll fall to a platform with a spring and a
robot.  Destroy the latter and bounce on the former and kill the turtle and
company.  Get the Special Stage Key here and pull out the switch.  Use Omega to
break the glass and a pinball like machine area ensues.  Drop to the end and
you'll go through a half-tube to a real pinball machine.  Exit via the upper-
left exit and you'll roll to the checkpoint.

Obliterate the enemy by the wall and fly onto the die using Rouge.  Several
turtles will attack you.  Terminate them and have Omega hit the checker thing.
You'll roll on a roulette wheel and into another pinball machine.  Exit to the
top and destroy the turtle that stands at the threshold of the exit.  Use the
balls to home attack and land on the die.  Fly to the right and into the alcove
below the rightmost slot machine.  You'll fall to a spring that launches you up
to several turtles.  Team Blast them and pull the side switches with Rouge.  The
door opens.  Kill the jellyfish enemy and break the glass with Omega.  Fall
through.  The Special Stage Key is behind you.  Get it and kill the robots.  Use
Rouge to fly up to the next platform and hit the checkpoint.

Use Light Dash to get to the boosters.  They send you into a spring that sends
you in front of a turtle.  Beat it down and have Omega hit the checker thing.
You'll be on a pinball machine.  To get off, fall to the bottom.  Kill the
jellyfish enemies and fly to the die.  Thunder Shoot the enemies and bounce with
the spring.  Kill the turtle robot and hit the spring.  Another pinball machine
resides here.  Get off the machine by getting to the top of it and falling to
the checkpoint.

Home attack the ball and take the flasher up.  Use Team Blast on the enemies
here if you want and notice the lasers in front of the stairs.  Only Espio can
make it there, so look out for it when you play as Team Chaotix.  Use the
booster to get across and you'll fall to a platform chalk full of enemies.
Destroy them and use the spring to get up.  Take down the badniks and fly up to
the switch and pull it.  The door opens.  Use Omega to break the glass and fall
through.  To exit the pinball machine simply roll to the bottom.  Kill the
enemies here and touch the Goal Ring.

Try the high-speed slides!

This will be tough to describe, but I will.  The end of the first Bingo slide is
at a series of half-tubes.  Kill the enemy here and the door opens.  Kill the
next enemy and Triangle Dive at the fan.  Break the glass, kill the badniks, and
get the Special Stage Key.  Now fall through the pit and you'll spring to a
platform with two metal enemies.  Thunder Shoot them and then use Omega to crush
them.  Press the switch and use Shadow to home attack the balls and Light Dash
to the other side.  This is where the first checkpoint is.

Use Omega to hit the checker thing and you'll be hurled to a Bingo slide.  At
the end you'll be at another pinball machine.  Get to the top to exit and kill
the enemies.  Use Rouge and the ball to bounce up to the next level.  Kill the
robots as you go and follow the trail to a die.  Fly to it and hit the
checkpoint.

Bounce up and into the tunnel you go.  At the end kill the badniks to open the
door.  Use Triangle Dive on the fan and kill the enemies you find here.  Press
the switch and kill the enemies inside this area guarding the glass floor.
Break it and fall through.  At the end you'll fall to another pinball machine.
Wonderful...  Get to the bottom and destroy the flyers to hit the switch.  Use
the die to get across and decimate the enemies.  Bounce with the ball right to
the checkpoint.

Hit the checker thing and bounce up.  Kill all the enemies and spring up to the
top.  Leaving one teammate behind go in the tunnel that leads to death Bingo.
This leads to a pinball machine that leads to a pinball machine that leads to a
Bingo slide.  At the end you'll fall to another pinball machine.  Using the
flippers send yourself into the pit containing the Goal Ring.

This is just a long series of enemies attacking you.  The first wave is
comprised of flyers.  The second is a wave of metal spearman.  Use Omega.  The
third is a combination of the two.  The fourth is a group of flyers.  Between
the fourth and fifth bounce on the spring and home attack the balloon for a Team
Blast Ring if you haven't already filled your gauge.  The fifth is a series of
flyers.  The next is just like third.  The seventh is a group of metal flyers,
while the eighth is a bunch of jellyfish.  Use Team Blast on the ninth wave.
The tenth is a group of flyers once more.  The eleventh is a mix easily defeated
with Omega.  Next we have a lot of spearmen.  That's it.  You've won.

                            |    Rail Canyon    |
                            +-------------------+

Find the entrance to Eggman's base!

You start grinding down a rail.  At the end you'll encounter several robots.
Make them beg for mercy and use the spring to hit the first checkpoint.

Use the boosters to grind on the energy rail and get the Special Stage Key on
the new platform.  Use the flasher in back and fall down the rail.  The new
platform you're on has a booster.  Take it and grind.  At the end use the Black
Tornado on the pole.  Kill the enemies and jump to the checkpoint.

Wreck the robot and press the switch to open the door and jump onto the leftmost
rail.  When you can get over to avoid the bull train.  Eventually you reach a
platform.  Jump to it from the rail and use Shadow on the pole.  Home attack the
badniks to get across the gap and press all three switches.  Get out Rogue and
fly across the gap after killing all the enemies and hit the checkpoint.

Bounce to the rails and grind!  You'll be sent into the checkpoint.

Home attack up the rail, kill the enemies and hit the switch so the red energy
rail is active.  Grind and jump off when bull trains rear their ugly heads.
Take the right.  Bounce off the spring and onto the platform.  This is where you
can find the next checkpoint.

Kill the badniks by the fan and press the switch, the Triangle Dive.  Get onto
the rail, jump to activate the red energy rails as you go and grind.  Avoid the
bull trains.  You'll grind to the checkpoint.

Grind on and kill the badniks to free the booster.  Boost and grind.  When you
are released jump onto the roof and find the gap.  Jump here into the Goal Ring.

                           |    Bullet Station    |
                           +----------------------+

Annihilate Eggman's Base!

Was Rail Canyon short or what?  There were so many checkpoints.  You start by
grinding.  Cross the narrow catwalk and use the Black Tornado on the pole at the
end.  Kill the jellyfish robot and Triangle Dive over the fan.  Avoid the weight
and kill the enemies.  Then get on the rail that leads to the checkpoint.

Pull the switch out to open the door.  Get the Special Stage Key here and jump
in the, as Tails has said, internal mechanism of the cannon.  Get balloons and
grind the rail.  At the end kill the robots and break down the pods.  Use
Shadow's wall grabbing technique to get across the narrow section.  Now destroy
the pods and pass through the checkpoint to the left.

Hop onto the rail and take it to the ground rail.  Avoid the armored trains and
grind to the roof of the building.  Use Omega to break down the ground and fall
in.  Break the pods and get to the core.  Smash it and explosion and grind!
Avoid the armored train on the center rail and with Rouge fly to the top level
of the platform.  Kill the badniks and hit the upper switch.  Return to the
energy rails and grind.  You have reached the next checkpoint.

Follow the armored train on the rail to the pole.  Use the Black Tornado on it
and take the rail to the building with two pods on the side.  There are switches
behind each.  Pull them to open the door.  Go through and let Omega pound the
ground to reveal a pit.  Fall down and break the pods in your way.  Kill off the
enemies and press the switch.  Light Dash across the gap and head left.  Destroy
enemies as you find them and use the narrow catwalk to get to the other side.
Fly behind the fence and pull the switch to open the door, then go in and jump
into the cannon.  Aim for balloons and avoid spikes.  You'll end up on a rail.
Grind until you are cast at a spring.  Bounce up, kill the enemies, and use
Triangle Dive on the fan.  Ignore the enemies and weights and get the checkpoint
ahead.

Light Dash and spring to the top of the roof.  Use Omega to break the ceiling.
Break the pods and grind across the gap to the next train.  Fly to the next and
use the Black Tornado at the pole at the end of the line.  Home attack the rails
ahead and you'll be by the core.  Bypass the enemies and punch it out.  You'll
be sent to a cart.  Unlike you're pleasant experience at Ocean Palace, if you
lose Rouge you can't jump, if you lose Shadow you are slow, and lose Omega to
die.  Jump over spikes and lasers and you'll be fine.  Also avoid bull trains.
At the end you'll grind to a new platform with the checkpoint.

Pull the switch on the door.  Pull the switch behind the metal crates opposite
the door, and use Rouge to pull the switch left of the door.  Enter and jump
into the cannon.  You'll be sent into the base, destroying it.  Spring up and
get the Goal Ring.

                        +---------------------------+

Light Dash and jump to home attack the wings.  Don't falter; keep attacking the
wings with extreme prejudice until the lower half breaks off and there is only
the blimp.  This isn't too hard.  Once the blimp is out attack the tail
propeller in the same fashion, but slow down if you are over a pit and final hit
is imminent.  Unless you're really lucky and are positioned over a rail you'll
fall to your death when it blows up.  Now the Egg Hawk is revealed.  Look
familiar?  Attack the head around the cockpit to win just as you did before.
The Egg Hawk section has only fifteen health points so it is a very easy battle.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Frog Forest    |
                            +-------------------+

Get through the forest where the wild animals live!

Metal Sonic has been revealed.  He's gathered data on you're battle strategies
and thinks he can stop you later.  Now, keep grinding on the vine rail until you
hit land.  Kill the badniks and home attack the bouncy fruit.  Destroy the
turtle and run for a loop sequence.  I think it's pretty amazing that the forest
grew that way.  You'll land on a platform near a frog.  Go up to it and it will
start raining, which causes rapid growth of the forest.  Use the yellow
platforms that grow to get the 1-UP at the end and jump to the vine rail.

Grind a bit and you'll be sent into an area with a turtle robot and a formation
signal that say fly.  Get Rouge out and fly up to the trunk of the tree.  Behind
it is a frog.  Activate the rain and return to the front.  A mushroom will have
grown.  Bounce up the stream of mushrooms and burst through the wooden crates
for the Special Stage Key.  The checkpoint is ahead.

Switch to Rogue and jump across the gap from platform to platform.  Kill the
robots that appear and continue jumping around until you reach a sort of orange
lump on the ground.  This is a mushroom.  Bounce on it up to the frog and make
it rain.  Jump across the gap behind the frog with the new platforms and destroy
the golden turtle and company, then boost down for a loop session.  You'll have
activated rain during this and end at a platform against a 90-degree wall.  Fly
up and onto the new platform.  Fly across the gap to a spring.  When you land
jump to the checkpoint.

Go to the platform with the power formation signal and destroy all the robots.
Now go to the right and bounce on the released tiny orange mushroom.  Use Light
Dash to bounce to the top of a tree ledge and fly to the one with a flower on
the top.  Use the Black Tornado at the flower and maneuver about up and down to
get balloons.  At the end you'll be grinding a vine rail.  Hit the spring where
you land and go to the next island tree platform and get the Special Stage Key.

Now jump to the platform ahead that as several robots on it and terminate the
robots.  When all are dead activate the frog's rain and jump across the gap with
the newly grown platforms and bouncy fruits.  Fly to the flower and use the
Black Tornado.  You'll end up on a platform at the side of a humongous mushroom.
Use the vine swings to swing from vine to vine and get to the other side of the
gap.  Defeat the enemies on this ledge and fly to the next ledge where there is
a checkpoint.

Kill the robots along the trail and use Omega to hit the checker thing.  Jump to
the vine rail and take it to a vine sequence.  You'll fall to a platform with
enemies on the ground level.  Fly to the upper area and use the mushroom to the
left to hop onto the new upper area.  Obliterate the bad guys and free the frog,
making it rain as you go.  Go onto the "mysterious ivy" as Shadow puts it and
grind.  It grows as you go.  You end at the Goal Ring.

                            +-------------------+

Explore the deepest part of the jungle!

Jungle, no, this is no jungle.  This is a swamp.  Fly to the black mushroom and
attack the robots.  The big one at the end is an armored robot.  Throw your
partners at his head to beat him.  After you do this fly with Rouge to the newly
saved switch and bounce to the tiny mushroom that bounces you to a flying enemy.
Defeat it and grind the vine.  Follow the path to the evil black frog.  Its rain
kills plants.  Keep following the path, killing enemies, and get the Special
Stage Key.  Above that is more trail.  Follow it to the checkpoint.

Keep going and a loop session is in order.  It will end with some grinding over
armored robots and right to a black frog.  You'll inevitably trigger its black
rain and you must avoid the bouncy fruits falling at you.  Keep following the
path to some platforms Rouge must fly to.  At the end of this is a trail that
leads to a frog.  Activate the good frog's rain and fly to the large yellow
platform, then the grassy ledge.  Keep flying platform to platform until you
reach a jellyfish enemy.  Kill it and bounce on the spring on the vine.  You'll
bounce right to the checkpoint.

Jump to the vine swings and swing to the end.  You need to get proficient at
vine swinging.  At the end kill the jellyfish enemies and activate the green
frog effect.  Now run for some loops.  As it comes to a close you'll grind to a
black mushroom with a spring on it.  Spring away from the black frog onto the
green and go to the next black frog.  To the left of him is a flower.  Use the
Black Tornado here and you'll be sent to a hedge maze like thing.  Keep going
and kill the metal flying enemy with Omega.  Bounce on the large orange mushroom
and dash to the checkpoint.

Ring around the mushroom and you'll reach more armored robots.  Team Blast them
and bounce on the mushroom they guarded.  Run forward for some loops after
bouncing up and kill the jellyfish.  Jump to the island with the red flyers and
activate the frog.  Jump to the next island as it rains and you'll see
everyone's favorite evil black frog.  Use the black mushrooms to get to the next
island and kill the armored beast.  Fly up to the next tier of the level and hit
the checkpoint.

Use the Black Tornado on the flower.  Kill the armored robot you see and head
straight into the hollow tree.  Use the Black Tornado on the flower and take it
to the next section.  Kill the armored robot that fall behind you and take a hop
on the spring.  Use Omega on the checker thing and you'll activate a black frog.
Run around the tree and activate green frog's rain.  Go back to where the black
frog was and jump up the yellow platforms to a new area.  Follow the path to a
checkpoint.

Grind down the growing vine and you'll boost to a swampy area.  The black frogs
will try to sink you with their evil black rain.  Spring to the vine swings and
suddenly, formally immersed in the murky depths, a giant crocodile or alligator
comes out to chase you!  Vine swing for your life.  Keep doing it and soon
you'll swing to the Goal Ring.

Is there a word to say how easy this is?  Get in the center of the platform and
as Team Sonic comes at you use the Black Tornado right when they're on you.
They'll be blown off the course and you win.  If not, go to the edge where they
are and use it again.  I won in twelve seconds.  It is an easy A rank.  Good
luck.

                            +-------------------+

Enter the spooky castle!

You start spiraling down a tower and boosting to a new platform.  Kill the
enemies and the door will open.  Go through and touch the glowing orb.  The
castle will turn upside down.  Use Rouge to fly to the ledge dead ahead and use
Omega to obliterate the offense.  When that's accomplished, press the switch and
Light Dash.  Kill the badnik in this room and press the glowing orb.  The
Special Stage Key is to your right.  Follow the rings out of the room and
through a loop.  Here is a spring.  You should have figured this out by now, but
by hopping on all three sides you get rings.  Bounce to the upper level, which
holds the checkpoint.

Jump down the pit and kill the robots.  Then press the glowing orb.  You'll
grind and bounce to a platform with several flyers on it.  Thunder Shoot the lot
of them and have Omega punch their lights out.  Have Rouge fly to the levitating
platform and then to the next platform.  Kill the enemies here and walk forward
between the two torches.  Follow the flames; the path is solid.  At the end
decimate the machines and press the switch.  Light Dash to a new platform where
it is mandatory that you kill the robots.

Well, it isn't really mandatory, but when done fly to the levitating stone
platform.  Fly into the upside down dome and kill the badniks.  Then press the
glowing orb.  The door is now open.  Go through and kill the enemies as you find
them.  Press the switch at the end and go back.  Use the Black Tornado on the
pole.  You'll land by a few flyers.  Destroy them and round the curve.  Hit the
booster that launches you grinding down a rail and when on solid land head for
the checkpoint.

Light Dash to the booster.  After a would-be loop session you fall into a
glowing orb.  When upside down you boost to a rail.  Grind on.  Soon you'll fall
to a platform with robots inhabiting it.  Kill them if you like and jump to the
spring.  Home attack across the gap and go into the green gas room.  Defeat the
evil robots and press the switch.  Behind you is a switch.  Press it and Light
Dash to the balloon with a 1-UP in it.  Now head forward and follow the flames.
Use Rouge so if you fall you have a chance to fly back up.  At the end you'll be
by a locked door.  Break the wall to the right and pull the switch.  Go through
the door and kill the robots.  Behind the wall where the weight is positioned is
a barrier.  Get it and use the weight to fly to the next level.  Kill the
badniks here and reach the checkpoint.

Go behind the tower and kill off the enemies.  A pit will open containing the
glowing orb.  Fall in and turn your world upside down.  You'll fall onto a
circular ledge around the tower.  Go to the back of it and enter through the
door.  Kill enemies as you go and ascend the stairs.  At the end are the Special
Stage Key and the glowing orb.  Turn your world right side up and kill the
robots then press the switch.  Light Dash across the gap and kill the badniks
you encounter.  Go through the now open door and at the end hit the target with
Thunder Shoot.  Press the glowing orb and kill the robot fiends.

Then Thunder Shoot the target.  Use Shadow on the pole with his specialty Black
Tornado and break the wall with Omega.  Kill the robots you find and the door
opens.  Grind down the hallway and run down the castle!  This part is cool.
Jump to avoid spikes and get balloons.  At the end you'll hit a glowing orb and
fall down the tower.  Avoid the pumpkin ghosts and press the three switches at
the bottom.  The door opens and reveals the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+

Escape from the crazy castle!

Now you're inside the castle.  Kill the armored robot that drops in and notice
the picture of Whale Island from Seaside Hill.  Now, climb the stairs and stand
at the door.  Use Rouge to fly up and Thunder Shoot the switch opposite it.  The
door opens.  Light Dash up the rail and kill the badnik.  The door opens.  Go
behind the door and press the switch.  Then go back in front of the door and
press the glowing orb.  Kill the enemies and the door opens.  Continue and
behind the robot is the Special Stage Key.  With Rouge fly up to the platforms
and up to the checkpoint.

Kill the enemy and the door opens.  Under the wood crate to the left is a
barrier.  Get it and advance.  Kill the robots and hit the glowing orb.  The
paintings come to life.  Deal with them and go to the next room.  Triangle Dive
on the pit and slowly make your descent, not falling in the pit.  Kill your
opponents in this room and jump in the cart.  Like in Bullet Station if you lose
Shadow you are slow and losing Rouge prevents jumping.  Jump over the ghosts and
lasers.  At the end you'll be sent to the checkpoint with your teammates back.

Kill the robot to open the door.  Hit the glowing orb to the left and fly to the
top platform.  Touch the glowing orb to the left and take the spider web rail to
the left.  Take the flasher up and climb the stairs.  Go through the hallway and
kill the enemies.  Then bust down the section of the wall with the crack, repeat,
and repeat in the new room.  Kill the sorcerer robot, by the way.  Press the
switch and Triangle Dive up to the new room.  Fall in the pit to bounce and kill
the sorcerer robot.

Now enter the new room and hit the glowing orb.  Destroy the robot statues that
come to life and go through the hallway.  Kill the enemy robot to open the door
and use Team Blast on the sorry sucker who dropped in.  Go to the torches and
use Omega to light them with his Remote Power Attack.  The door opens and you
enter.  Press the glowing orb and use Omega to rough up the badniks.  The lasers
fade away and you go to the checkpoint.

Before you leave this room use Rouge to pull the switch above the doorway.
Light Dash at the trail of rings and it is time to trolley.  At the end you'll
be grinding.  Jump to the red rail.  This will send you to yet another cart.  At
the end you'll be cast out of the cart to a checkpoint.

Light the torches and the door opens.  Kill the enemies and press the glowing
orb.  Use Shadow's wall technique here and take the left spider rail.  Light
Dash at the end and decimate your robotic assailants.  Using Omega punch the
weight over the well and fall in.  Avoid the pumpkin ghost and press all three
switches.  Light Dash and press the glowing orb by the Power Signal.  Destroy
the armored robot and return to the main room.  Now go to the Fly Formation
Signal and hit the glowing orb.  Defeat the robots, return to the main room via
the glowing orb, and enter the Speed Formation Signal glowing orb.  Destroy the
robots and return to the main room.  In the central platform hit the glowing orb.
Now advance and touch the Goal Ring.

                         |    Boss: Robot Storm    |
                         +-------------------------+

This is the hardest version of this boss you can face.  Like Robot Carnival just
attack the robots.  What puzzles me though is that at the end of Mystic Mansion
it was daytime and here it is nighttime.  The first wave is a group of flyers.
Simply home attack them.  Next is an armored robot and a few mini-jets.  Use
Omega on the former and Rouge on the latter.  Next is a robot sorcerer and metal
gunners and spearmen.  The glowing orb is now available so touch it.  Use Team
Blast on the fourth wave as you fall.  The fifth wave is just a few metal
spearmen and gunners.  The sixth is simply a few robotic sorcerers, very easy to
kill.  Harder though is the armored robot that is protected by their magic.
Take out the sorcerers first and then the robot.  Now the cannon is open.  Enter
with Shadow and the next wave is unveiled.  It's just a few sharp shooters,
mini-jets, and spearmen.  Next are a robot sorcerer horde accompanied by an
armored robot and some spearmen.  Do as you did before and take out the
sorcerers then the head honcho.  Next, use Team Blast on the ninth wave.  To
reach the tenth hit the glowing orb.  They are merely a group of flyers, very
easy to home attack.  The eleventh consists of jellyfish and armored trains.
Take out the jellyfish first and home attack the armored trains.  Next are
common enemies; use Omega.  Finally, use Team Blast and you win!

                             |    Egg Fleet    |
                             +-----------------+

Land on Eggman's flagship!

It is the ultimate life form versus Eggman's air fleet.  You start running down
a ship and boosting to a rail.  Grind to the next ship and break the cannon that
blocks your path.  Destroy the other badniks and the door will lower.  Go
through and defeat the robot, then Thunder Shoot the target by flying with Rouge.
Use the Black Tornado on the pole and spring up to the side hallway.  Go through
and Light Dash across the gap.  Go to the left and spring up to the next tier.
Jump and Light Dash to the platform with the cannon and destroy the said cannon.
Then jump to the rail and grind.  The Special Stage Key is to the right of where
you land.  Head forward and Triangle Dive at the fan.  Repeat this to get to the
hovering platform.  Take out the central cannon ahead of you and jump to the
next hovering platform.  Jump to the trail of rings and Light Dash.  When you
land kill the badnik and traverse the hallway.  Light Dash to a rail and grind.
You'll stop at a checkpoint.

Destroy the enemies as you find them and Team Blast the two new enemies with
shields and laser guns.  The door lowers; go through and use the Black Tornado
on the propeller.  Avoid cannon fire, get the balloons, and fall to the
checkpoint on the giant fish like battleship.

Run forward and take out the cannon.  Underneath it is a spring.  Bounce up to
the next level and Light Dash across the gap.  Destroy the cannon you find and
fly up the platforms to a hallway.  Cross through and fly to the upper ledge
with a pole on it.  Use the Black Tornado and destroy the cannon you land by.
Now you really fight one of those new enemies.  Use Thunder Shoot on the shield
and have Omega beat it up.  The door opens when you victor in combat.  Cross
through the hallway and have Shadow use Rocket Accel to get under the lasers and
hit the core of the ship.  There is an explosion that sends you to rails (How
convenient!).  Use Triangle Dive to get to the hovering platform and hit the
switch under the cage.  Light Dash now and grind.  Triangle Dive to the next
platform and destroy all the enemies here.  Press the formally caged switch and
Triangle Dive on the small fan.  Continue doing this until you reach a bunch of
rectangular cannons.  Destroy the left cannon and bounce to the larger fan.
Triangle Dive up the platform and you'll reach the checkpoint.

Make use of the booster in front of you and boost to another ship.  Break the
cannon roadblock and head down the hallway to another trail of rings.  Light
Dash and spring to a rail.  Grind to another platform where you must bounce and
destroy a cannon then bounce on the spring behind it.  Go to the ship to the
right and head down the main path, destroying the cannon as you go.  Down the
hallway is a rail that leads to the checkpoint.

Go to the propeller and use the Black Tornado.  Avoid cannon fire and get
balloons.  Follow your teammates' directions and land on the flagship.  Hit the
checkpoint you find here and run to destroy the cannon.

Under the cannon is a spring.  Bounce to the next level and get Rouge out.  The
Special Stage Key hovers over the pit.  Get it and kill the robots to access the
spring.  Bounce through the aerial booster and run to the cannons.  Use Rouge to
fly to the top platform that connects to a hallway and fly to the cannon.
Destroy it and use the Black Tornado on the pole.  Destroy the cannon you land
by and attack the new shield robot you encounter.  Use Thunder Shoot on it and
attack with Omega.  When he's dead the door lowers.  Like before cross through
the hallway to the next and use Rocket Accel to take out the core of the engine.
You win.

                           |    Final Fortress    |
                           +----------------------+

Get to the core where Eggman is!

You start grinding down a rail.  When you land use Rouge to fly to the stable
platform beneath the shield robot with a trail of rings.  Run down and boost to
the collapsing platforms.  Quickly fly from one to the next until you reach a
hovering platform.  Get on it and jump to the next platform.  Under the upper
right cannon is a spring.  Bounce to the checkpoint.

Use Rouge to fly to the hovering platform.  Thunder Shoot the badnik standing on
the ring and the lasers will dissipate.  Fly to the collapsing platform and use
Shadow's wall grab technique to jump to and fro.  You should land by two robots
at the foot of a ramp.  Run down and break the blocks and enemies you find, and
then continue running forward to a booster.  You'll reach a cannon, dual common
enemies, and an E2000.  Destroy the robots and press the switch.  Use the Black
Tornado on the pole and jump to the pole platform.  Get the Special Stage Key
and use the Black Tornado.

Grind to the fan and use Triangle Dive to get to the rail ahead.  Keep going and
you'll land on a collapsing platform.  Use Rouge to get to the platform branded
with Eggman's face.  Get to the top and destroy the cannon to reveal a flasher.
Take it to the hallway and kill the E2000.  Use the weight to get to the switch
and pull it with Rouge.  The lasers will cease to exist.  Fall in the pit and
head forward into the robot and cannon melee.  Use the booster to boost and
bounce to another robot.  Destroy it and bounce to the upper level.  Kill the
badniks and the lasers will fade away.  Head forward and destroy the advanced
armored beast.  The door opens.  Fly over the lasers and pass through the
checkpoint.  The Special Stage Key is also here.

Jump onto the switch and the place explodes.  Luckily you'll land on a rail.
Grind down, avoiding enemies on the rail, and the lasers that are fired at you.
Switch to different rails to avoid these.  I'd stay in Fly Formation in case you
get hit and fall.  Use your Team Blast on the enemies you approach and hit the
target with Thunder Shoot.  Use the Black Tornado on the pole and use Shadow's
wall technique to cross to the other side.  Kill the shield enemy and press the
switch to activate the fan.  Use Triangle Dive and on the new level avoid cannon
fire by destroying the cannon.  Boost down the rail and destroy the cannons and
enemies in your little arena.  Under the central left cannon is a switch.  Press
it and Triangle Dive at the fan.  Now boost to the right and in Fly Formation
have one person stand on the switch.

Repeat with the left side and for the final switch grind to the rail and take it
to the fan.  Here is the last switch.  Get in Power Formation and Triangle Dive
at the fan.  You'll rise to a platform with two robots on it.  Kill them and
grind in Fly Formation.  At the very start fly to the platform in front of you,
get the barrier, and destroy the robots.  Now continue grinding.  Let's assume
you fall to the lowest platform.  Kill the enemies here and Thunder Shoot the
switch.  Triangle Dive to the next level where you must defeat an armored robot.
Use Omega on the checker thing and kill these robots without Team Blast.  Now
use Thunder Shoot on the target and use the Black Tornado on the pole.  Use Team
Blast on the enemies you land by.  The door opens.  Go through and touch the
checkpoint.

Jump on the big switch for an explosion.  Welcome to the hardest part of the
level.  It is another laser rail situation.  Stay in Fly Formation so if you get
hit you can fly up and avoid lasers, obviously.  Also, sometimes if it is
hopeless fly above the laser for a while to avoid it.  I hope you make it out
alive.  At the end you'll land by a switch.  Press it and the base blows up.  On
the platform you land on is the Goal Ring.

                         |    Boss: Egg Emperor    |
                         +-------------------------+

Talk about easy.  Maybe even easier than, dare I say it, Team Chaotix.  No, not
that easy.  But still.  At the start, avoid his sword slashes and chase after
him.  If you're too close you'll probably get hit, but being too far away will
make him charge you.  Destroy enemies along the way to collect for Team Blast.
Soon you'll reach an arena.  I doubt you'd have enough in your gauge for Team
Blast at this arena, so I'll describe the standard way to beat him.  By the way,
destroy the cannons in each arena and any easy enemies (None in Team Dark Story).
Use Thunder Shoot on the shield and use Fire Dunk with Omega over and over on
the main body until he loses (or continue with Thunder Shoot).  After the first
arena, chase after him.  When you can use Team Blast, use it when his shield is
disabled and then for fifteen seconds he is a sitting duck as time is frozen.
That's what makes it so easy.  At the end in a cinema you find out Shadow has
many clones and he may be one of them...  Congratulations, you beat the Team
Dark Story!  Keep playing more stories for a secret one.

=============================Team Rose Walkthrough*=============================
================================================================================

This is the easiest storyline.  Really, you should do it first.  Personally, I
played, but did not beat, Team Dark, and then I beat Team Rose.  I went back to
Team Dark, beat it, and beat Team Sonic.  Then Team Chaotix was left.  This is
good for honing your skills, although the characters, particularly Big, are
annoying.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Seaside Hill    |
                            +--------------------+

Get to the other side of the sea!

You really start at Sea Gate.  Although I cannot imagine how someone would need
it, I have a tutorial walkthrough but you'd have to be really dense not to beat
this level yourself.  Now, for the Seaside Hill guide.  You start running into
rings.  Go through the Fly Gate and fly to the upper platform.  Use Big to break
the blocks and jump across the water with the ruins.  Keep doing this and you'll
reach two enemies and an aerial booster.  Home attack the former and go through
the aerial booster.  From where you land head forward and get the Special Stage
Key.  Switch to Cream and fly up the ruins, getting the balloons toward the end,
and go through the Speed Gate and boost to a cart.  Get balloons and rings until
you reach the end and go to the booster ahead.  Boost through the three rings
and into the checkpoint.

Bounce on the spring ahead and through the Fly Gate.  Fly onto the block and
from there to the next level.  Switch to Big and break the blocks ahead.  At the
end there are robots to destroy.  Break the blocks behind them and bounce to the
balloon.  When you get it the platform lowers.  Jump to the next and fly to the
booster through the three rings.  From where you land follow the trail of rings
and with Cream go into the cannon.  Hit the balloon and follow the rings to a
booster.  Switch to Amy and boost through the checkpoint.

Advance forward and boost through the three rings (This gives you bonus points).
With Cream fly to the next level then Thunder Shoot the various enemies.  Now
use the spring to get to the next tier.  Go through the Speed Gate and a loop
sequence will ensue.  At the end you'll go through a Fly Gate and a Power Gate.
Keep running forward to meet a pair of blocks.  Break them and reveal the Goal
Ring.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Ocean Palace    |
                            +--------------------+

Find the ruins floating on the sea!

You'll bounce to a door.  Bust it down with Big and kill the badniks (Enemies)
behind it.  Keep heading forward, breaking debris in your way, and go through
the Fly Gate.  Fly onto the platform and fly through the aerial booster.  You'll
fall near another booster.  Boost to the checkpoint.

Switch to Amy and speed down the runway to some springs.  Bounce to the balloon
and continue forward through the Power Gate.  Use Umbrella Descent at the fan by
jumping and pressing the A Button in mid-air and levitate to a new section of
the level.  Destroy the enemy and continue.  Break the blocks and bounce on the
concealed spring.  Go through the aerial booster and hit the door in Power
Formation.  Run through the Fly Gate and bounce to the next level.  Use Thunder
Shoot to get the balloon and boost through the Power Gate.  Follow the path to a
door.  Destroy its mechanized guardians and open it as we have been opening them.

Boost down and boost again to a spring.  Take it to a Fly Gate.  Boost through
the aerial booster and use Umbrella Descent at the fan and you'll be at a
platform with two more fans.  Use Umbrella Descent on the furthest from you and
take it to a Speed Gate.  Go down and through the Power Gate.  Break the blocks
that fall in front of you and decimate the enemies.  At the top of the stairs is
another door.  Open it and switch to Amy.  At the end of a loop and boost
session you'll land at a checkpoint.

Jump in the cannon with Amy.  Use Big to break the metal crates and press the
switch beneath them.  Jump in the cannon with Amy and after you've defeated the
robot use the spring to go to yet another cannon (Which you should enter with
Amy).  Destroy the robots on the platform you land on and boost to another.
Destroy more robots and, after getting the item boxes, fly to the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+

home attack the head around the cockpit or use Big to use Body Press (Much more
effective).  This may take a few tries.  Repeat the process until you win.

                          |    Grand Metropolis    |
                          +------------------------+

Stroll through the modern city!

That really deserves an exclamation mark.  Run down the path and you'll boost to
an energy bridge.  Traverse the bridge after a few loops and you'll reach a
solid platform.  Boost again to another booster.  In the end you'll boost to a
solid platform with a flying enemy over it.  Destroy it and use Cream to fly
through the aerial booster.  You'll go through a Power Gate.  Use Big to destroy
the turtle robot and cross the energy bridge that forms.  Push in the switch and
cross the energy bridge that forms when on solid land.  Here's the checkpoint.

Run down the energy bridge and hit the spring.  Get the balloon and welcome to,
as Cream says it, "so many bad robots".  Defeat them and push the switch in by
the door.  Get the item box and get the Special Stage Key.  Now continue up the
energy bridge and boost through the three rings that follow.  After a few loops
you'll boost through a window onto the checkpoint.

Defeat the robots in this room and push the switch in by the door to the left.
Inside is an enemy.  Kill it and the other door opens.  Kill that enemy and get
the twenty rings that are now accessible.  Cross the bridge that fell down and
boost to the central spring.  Home attack the enemies in order to reach the
three rings and when you go through them you land by a small spring.  Boost on
it to aerial booster that lead to a platform with a green enemy on it.  Defeat
said robot and continue up through the Power Gate.  Defeat the robot turtle at
the door and push in both switches.  When the door opens home attack the red
robot to reach the other energy path and from here boost to the next energy path.

Jump for the balloon and upon landing switch to Big.  Attack the turtle robots
and press the switch.  Defeat the enemies in succession and bounce to the energy
path above.  Follow it to a door.  Kill the robot guard and push in both
switches.  The door opens to a booster.  Boost through the Speed Gate and at the
pole use Amy's Propeller Hammer (Jump and press the A Button) and you'll be sent
to an energy path.  Home attack the flyers to reach an aerial booster that sends
you across the gap.  Keep going through the Fly Gate and fly through the aerial
booster.  Destroy the flying enemies and hit the now open switch.  Defeat the
enemy and bounce up to a platform by a balloon.  Jump to get it and boost to the
checkpoint.

With Amy, get in the cannon.  Keep grinding (Going on a rail) until you reach a
blimp supporting the Goal Ring.

                            |    Power Plant    |
                            +-------------------+

Escape from the energy plant!

You start on an elevator.  Run around getting balloons and at the top Thunder
Shoot the flyers.  An energy bridge appears.  Cross it and boost to a loop
sequence.  At the end boost through the Speed Gate and more loops.  You'll
bounce to an energy path at the foot of the checkpoint.

With Cream, fly through the aerial booster to the next, and then the next.  Take
it to the metal platform with flashing tiles on it.  Boost under the weight and
bounce to a new room with fireballs.  Avoid them and jump through the three
rings.  You'll land in a room with several wooden crates in it.  Defeat the
turtle and an air wall starts blowing.  Ascend to a Fly Gate and destroy the
flying enemies.

Then take the flasher (The hook on a rope that flashes) up.  Jump to the air
wall and take the wall to a new tier.  Here you must destroy the enemies and fly
up to Thunder Shoot a target.  Then boost on out of here.  Attack the enemy in
this room and then Thunder Shoot the wooden crates until you've created a hole
through which you can fly.  Fly through the hole you've made to a checkpoint.

Defeat the flying enemies in this room with Thunder Shoot and then fly through
the aerial boosters.  You'll bounce to another.  Fall to the balloons in the
boosters and keep taking them until you reach a platform with a caged spring on
it.  Thunder Shoot the targets and jump on the switch.  This leads to a rail.
Grind to a spring and use the aerial boosters to get to a balloon surrounded by
a ring of fire.  Fall to a rail and grind to the Goal Ring.

your chance!  Seriously, this boss is easy.  Get in the center of the platform
and repeatedly use Propeller Hammer.  Time it when they run into the center and
you can win in under ten seconds.  The goal is to knock them off the platform.
At the end Sonic swears he didn't take Froggy or Cheese's brother, but we know
otherwise (Or do we?)

Play the giant pinball tables!

I hate this level.  You start (With another Sonic Adventure flashback to
Casinopolis) in an area that leads to a large floating die.  Under it is a
flasher.  Take it down to a platform with many bouncy squares on it and use the
spring to bound to another tier.  Jump to the floating die (I think die is
singular for dice) and take it across the gap.  Bounce with the spring, get the
Special Stage Key here, and pull the switch to open the door.  Go into the
hallway and Body Press the glass.  You'll fall to the dreaded pinball table.
Take it down to a larger pinball machine.  To exit this simply reach the top
where there is an exit!  You'll boost to a platform with metal crates lined up
on it and the checkpoint.

Break the crates with Big and then jump to the springs on the wall.  Head
forward and hit the checker thing with Big to go to a roulette wheel.  This
leads to a pinball machine.  At the top is the exit.  Take it and boost to a
large die above another pinball machine.  Jump to the left and try to exit this
machine with the alcove under the upper leftmost slot machine (So much gambling
in this game!).  You'll fall to a spring that bounces you to a platform with two
switches.  Pull both out and the door opens.  Destroy the enemy and Body Press
the glass.  You'll fall through to a new section.  Use Cream to fly up to the
new section which holds the Goal Ring.

                           +---------------------+

Try the BINGO slides!

You start on a Bingo slide.  Unfortunately I cannot describe such things.  So
when you reach the end you'll be in a half-tube.  This leads to a pinball
machine.  Exit at the bottom of the machine and you'll land by a flyer with a
searchlight.  Defeat the flyer and the door opens.  Walk through and use
Umbrella Descent at the fan.  Take this to the next level and defeat the
jellyfish robot.  Then get the Special Stage Key located by the glass and use
Body Press on the glass.  Take this to a platform with an electric flyer and
defeat it.  Then use Cream to fly to the dice and cross the gap.  On the other
side is the elusive checkpoint.

Use Mr. Big to hit the checker thing and you'll be catapulted to another Bingo
slide.  At the end you'll take a half-tube to a pinball machine.  Exit at the
top and in the area you land on spring up to the die.  Fly to the side platform
and follow the rings to some crates.  Break them, boost across the gap and get
the Special Stage Key.  The checkpoint is dead ahead.  Bounce up to the tunnel
and you'll bounce to a new area.  Obliterate the enemies here and the door will
open.  Go through and use Umbrella Descent at the fan.  Kill the badniks and
press the switch.  The door opens.

Walk through and use Body Press on the glass.  You'll fall to a pinball machine.
At the end a half-tube will take you to a pinball machine.  To exit reach the
bottom.  Break the crates behind you and press the switch behind you.  Then use
Cream to fly to the dice and take them across to springs.  Bounce over to the
jellyfish platform, defeat them, and use the bouncy ball to reach the die.  It
takes you to the Goal Ring.

This is just a whole bunch of enemies attacking in waves.  The first wave
consists of flying bombers.  Use Thunder Shoot to defeat them.  The second wave
is exactly the same.  Between the second and third use Amy to bounce up on the
spring and home attack the balloon.  The third wave is a bunch of enemies easily
home attacked by Amy.  The fourth consists of all flyers.  Defeat these with
homing attacks.  For the fifth Thunder Shoot the enemies.  For the sixth wave
simply Body Press the lot of them.  The seventh is a series of vulnerable flyers,
vulnerable to home attacks that is.  For the eighth wave use Team Blast.  That's
it; you won.

Go beyond the rails!

You begin grinding down a rail.  At the end you'll bounce to the checkpoint.

Boost to the energy rail and onto a new platform.  The Special Stage Key is here.
Bounce on the spring behind the mini-tower and grind down the rail, hitting the
switch.  The energy rails turn red.  Continue grinding and when you hit land
boost to continue grinding again.  At the end of the rail system you'll bounce
to a balloon above the checkpoint.

Defeat the enemies here and spring up to the hallway to the left.  Press the
switch here and start grinding.  When possible jump to the rail to the left to
avoid the bull train.  When you grind to an energy rail jump to the platform and
follow the rings to a pole.  Use the Propeller Hammer here and when you land
switch to Cream.  Fly to the platform ahead and repeat to be completely across
the gap.  Defeat the enemies here and jump to the rail so you may grind after a
short boost.  This rail leads directly to the third checkpoint.

Bounce up to the next rail.  Grind to the end (Ignore the armored trains) and
you'll fall to the checkpoint.

Switch to Cream and fly through the aerial booster.  Defeat the guards and press
the switch.  Now grind on the energy rail to the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+

Find Eggman's Base!

Once again you start grinding.  Trust me, this won't be the last time, either.
Keep grinding until you reach a narrow catwalk you must cross.  Use the
Propeller Hammer at the pole and you'll grind to a fan.  Use the Umbrella
Descent here and hover up the balloon.  Fall to the metal tiled platform and
boost to the rails.  These lead straight to the checkpoint.

Approach the door and it will open.  Get the Special Stage Key and jump into the
"internal mechanism of that giant cannon" (Said by Amy).  Maneuver around to get
balloons and you'll land on a rail.  After the grinding session is over use
Cream to fly to the grated metal platform and then fall down to a rail.  It will
boost you to a platform that contains the checkpoint.

Bounce onto the rail and grab the flasher at the end of it.  Take it up and
grind again.  At the end switch to Cream and fly on top of the building.  Use
Big to Body Press the grated metal and fall through.  Now you're on a train, the
Orient Express (Okay, that's not the name).  Break the crates ahead and the pods
until you reach the engine.  Hit it with Big and boom.  The train explodes.
Switch to Cream and grind down on the rail.  When you see the upper platform and
it is in range fly to it.  This saves you some time.  Enter the Goal Ring.

                        +---------------------------+

Like its predecessor, the Egg Hawk, the Egg Albatross is a bird-themed machine
controlled by the evil Eggman.  Avoid the large spike ball emitted from the body
of the ship and home attack the wings.  Destroy these and the body is dropped so
that you must fight the blimp.  Attack the tail propeller while avoiding its
cannon balls and when that is destroyed the good old Egg Hawk is unleashed.
Attack the head around the cockpit and you win.  Was that hard?  No, it wasn't.
However, that Eggman was a fake.  Where is the real Eggman and where are Froggy
and Chocola?

Explore the forest where the frogs live!

What'd I tell you?  You start grinding here down a vine rail.  You land by a
platform.  Take it up and boost for a loop session at the booster ahead.  You
land by another platform.  Go up to the frog and he'll make it rain.  Home
attack the bouncy fruits that grows and take the vine to a vine swing.  Press A
when it swings forward to jump that way.  Get the balloon and fall to Earth.
The frog will make it rain.  Use Cream to fly to the mushroom and the next.  Get
the Special Stage Key in the pit you find and pass through the checkpoint.

Boost to another frog.  It will rain again.  Fly across the platform until you
reach a large yellow one.  Take this to the platform with the small mushroom.
Bounce up and use Big to hit the checker thing.  You'll switch to Amy when you
pass through the Speed Gate.  Boost for a few loops.  Near the end you'll make a
frog croak (I made a pun).  Bounce up the side of the tree to a platform.  Fly
through the aerial booster and bounce up.  Then fly to the checkpoint.

Fly to the platform with the bad guys on it, kick their butts, and get the power
core.  Now hit the checker thing with Big and you'll head to a mushroom.  Cross
the small platforms to a larger one and use the Propeller Hammer at the flower.
Get balloons as you go and fall into the mushroom.  You'll boost to a vine rail
and straight to a vine swing (Below which is the Special Stage Key).  Fly to the
next platform and boost to the next.  Use Team Blast on the enemies and fly to
the Goal Ring.

Escape the jungle!

You start grinding on a vine rail and when you land you are near an armored
robot.  Defeat it by attacking the head with Big.  Then fly up with Cream and a
black frog will croak.  Its black rain is poisonous to plants.  Follow the path
until you see a Fly Formation Signal, at which time you should switch to Cream.
Fly up to the platform and repeat until you reach an aerial booster.  Follow the
path, get the Special Stage Key, and jump to the vine swing.  Swing up and fly
on top of the weight and then fly to the platform.  Continue until you reach a
spring.  Home attack it and you'll bounce to the checkpoint.

Jump to the vine swings and swing across the gap.  Kill the jellyfish robots and
head down the path for some loops.  You'll bounce to a platform with a booster.
Boost to a spring by a black frog (Which will make it rain).  Keep going until
you reach a flower.  Use the Propeller Hammer here and they're off.  This takes
you to a hedge maze kind of thing.  Get the Special Stage Key under the balloon
and continue.  Avoid or destroy jellyfish robots and spring up.  Keep on the
trail and you will find the checkpoint straight ahead.

Run under the mushroom and into a hollow tree.  Use Team Blast on the sorry
enemies and bounce on the mushroom.  Run forward for a few loops and hit the
Goal Ring.

Find the haunted castle!

Run down the ramp and prepare for a loop sequence.  When you bounce up get the
Special Stage Key and send the robot to oblivion.  Body Press the wooden crates
and touch the glowing orb down here.  From where you are now (The castle is
upside down) get the item box. Fly up and press the switch and then fall into
the pit.  Press the next glowing orb you find here and the door will be open.
Inside the courtyard the door leads to is the checkpoint.

Advance and destroy the enemies, then deploy Big on the checker thing.  When you
land defeat the badnik and head through the hall to a booster.  Take it down and
grind to the checkpoint.

Head forward and boost twice.  After circling around for a bit, boost again and
you'll hit the glowing orb.  You then boost to a rail.  Grind down to a platform
with a pumpkin ghost on it and use Cream to fly to the levitating platform.  Fly
up and defeat the enemy.  Then fly across the gap using the floating blocks.
Get the item box and head left into a hallway oozing with green gas.  Defeat the
enemies here (The Special Stage Key is on the roof) and jump to the platform.
Take it to the Goal Ring.

Escape from the haunted house!

Now you're inside.  Climb the stairs and defeat the enemy at the door.  When it

Defeat the enemy behind the door in the new room and then press the glowing orb
in front of it.  Defeat the enemies who appear and the door opens.  Go through
and jump onto the rising platform.  Switch to Cream and fly to the checkpoint.

Defeat the robot guardian and the door will open.  Go through and destroy these
enemies.  You should have enough for Team Blast now.  Now press the glowing orb
and the paintings come to life.  Use Team Blast to beat them and go through the
hall.  Use Amy's Propeller Hammer on the pole and from where you land get to the
top.  Take the cart.  Now this trolley is different from the one way back in
either Ocean Palace or Seaside Hill.  You must jump over ghosts and lasers.  If
you get hit you lose a character.  Lose Amy Rose and you'll go slower, but
losing Cream disables your jump.  Lose Big and it's all over.  After the first
cart you'll reach another one.  After that you'll be flung to the checkpoint.

To open the door press the switch under the wooden crate to the left.  Go in and
press the left glowing orb.  Now fly from platform to platform until you reach
the top.  Kill the robot sorcerer and hit the Goal Ring.

Here we are... at a duplicate of Robot Carnival.  The first wave is comprised
completely of flyers.  Home attack them and you'll triumph.  The second is just
four metal spearmen.  Use Big.  The third is a simple robot formation.  Use Body
Press to take them out in droves.  The glowing orb is now accessible.  Touch it
and use Team Blast on these turtle robots.  Next are a few metal spearmen and
gunners.  After you beat them the Team Blast Ring becomes available.  Get it and
use it on the fifth wave.  You've won.

                             |    Egg Fleet    |
                             +-----------------+

Find Eggman's fleet!

Mission accomplished!  No, seriously, though.  After making fun of Eggman's
rotund figure Amy and the gang take off to a rail.  Grind and you'll land on a
glass platform.  Break the crates to the right and bounce to the next platform.
Welcome to what I like to call a super spring.  Body Press it over and over to
raise it.  When it's high enough jump through the three rings.  You'll land on a
rail.  Bounce to the fan and have Big use Umbrella Descent on the fan.  Take it
to the glass platform and grind down the rail.  Use Umbrella Descent at the fan
and take it to the rail.  Grind down and you'll land on a glass platform with a
checkpoint on it.

Now jump to the cannon to the right and destroy the lower central one.  Under it
is a switch.  Press it and use Umbrella Descent on the fan.  On the next tier
press the switch under the metal crate.  Use Umbrella Descent again and then on
the fan to the left or right.  Take this to a metal platform with metal crates
on it.  Bounce up to the large fan and take it to the platform with two cannons
on it.  Jump to the platform to the side and use the spring to the upper right
to bounce to a fan.  Use Umbrella Descent here and take it to a metal arena
where you must destroy a robot.  Use Thunder Shoot to disable it and Body Press
it.  When it is dead have Cream fly up to the switch and press it.  Then jump to
the fan and use Big's Umbrella Descent.  Hover up to the top where you'll find
the checkpoint.

Boost through the three rings and you'll land on a ship.  Boost down the hall
and boost to a new platform.  From here bounce to a rail and grind.  Then bounce
again and again to Eggman's battleship.  Make your way to the hallway of the
ship use the Propeller Hammer on the propeller.  Avoid cannon fire, get balloons,
and you'll land on Eggman's flagship.  The checkpoint is at the start.

Boost down to the main cannon and destroy it.  Then use the spring beneath it to
bounce to a super spring.  Body Press it a few times and use Umbrella Descent to
get to a place with a Fly Formation Signal.  Switch to Cream and fly to the top
platform to the left.  Then go through the hallway and fly to the platform with
the cannon on it.  Bypass it and use the Propeller Hammer on the pole.  Jump
into the arena and destroy the shield robot with Team Blast.  Now the door opens.
Go through and hit the Goal Ring (Normally you destroy the flagship, but not
with easy Team Rose).

                           +----------------------+

Hurry and find Eggman!

Almost done!  Boost and you'll go to a rail.  Grind down to a flasher that
descends to a metal platform.  Jump to the ramp thing and run down.  Switch to
Cream and you'll boost to a collapsing platform.  Fly to the platform to the
right and then the one above it.  Destroy the block in the upper left corner to
unveil a spring.  Bounce up to the checkpoint.

Switch to Cream and fly to the metal platform.  Run across the collapsing
platforms to a spring.  Bounce up and get the Special Stage Key.  Then run to
the booster for a half-loop.  Defeat the armored robot here and bounce on the
spring.  Land on the rail and go to the pole.  Use the Propeller Hammer on it
and you'll be on another rail.  Take this to a spring that launches you to
another rail.  Grind down and switch to Cream.

Cross the T-shaped collapsing platforms and fly to the stable one branded with
Eggman's mug.  Now fly up to the cannon, destroy it, and spring up to the
hallway.  Use Team Blast on this fellow and Body Press the metal crates.  Fall
through and advance forward.  You'll boost to a spring that takes you to a robot
guard.  Defeat the fiend and drop into the newly opened pit.  Bounce up and
obliterate the enemy robots and the door opens.  Limbo under the laser and get
the checkpoint.

Press all three of the switches to activate the fan.  Use the Umbrella Descent
at the fan and you'll boost to a rail.  Keep grinding and avoiding spikes on the
trail.  You'll land at the Goal Ring.

                         |    Boss: Egg Emperor    |
                         +-------------------------+

The hardest part of this story is this boss, which is pretty pathetic.  Avoid
his sword slashes and follow him.  Don't be too close or you'll be an easy
target, but if you tarry behind he'll charge you.  Follow him, boosting from
catwalk to catwalk until you reach the arena.  Destroy enemies along the way, by
the way, to use Team Blast on the Emperor.  He has 150 health.  To beat him,
Thunder Shoot his shield and home attack the body where it glows (or keep on
Thunder Shooting).  I guess he can't, as Eggman says "Show you what really evil
is!" or make us "Meet our maker".  Don't get me wrong; this can be a tough boss,
but not because he's hard.  It's more the fact that you can die easily on
accident.  When you win you are reunited with Chocola and Froggy, and Amy runs
after Sonic.  Congratulations; you beat Team Rose Story.  Only one more to beat
now!

===========================Team Chaotix Walkthrough*============================
================================================================================

This may be the hardest.  In game play and difficulty it is not that hard, but
with all its stupid and frustrating missions where you have to collect stuff,
this can be hard to stand.  Also, this team has the only characters (Beside
Vector) whose names are not real words.  For anyone who wants to know a vector
is (As defined by the New College Edition of the American Heritage Dictionary of
the English Language) 1) Mathematics.  A quantity completely specified by a
magnitude and a direction.  2) Pathology.  An organism that carries pathogens
from one host to another.  3) Broadly, any force or influence.  I hope you're
happy.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Seaside Hill    |
                            +--------------------+

Find 10 hermit crabs!

To test your skill, you must collect ten hermit crabs on Seaside Hill.  For
levels like this I will just list where you can find the item you are searching
for.

1) Boost forward for some loops and then follow the trail to a block.  On it is
a hermit crab.

2) Defeat the robot in front of you from where # 1 was and get out Charmy.
Press B by the flower and jump in.  Bounce up and attack the robot enemies.
Break the block.  Under it is a hermit crab.

3) From where you found # 2 destroy the wooden crates and boost to some springs.
Bounce up and on the stone here is a hermit crab.

4) Drop down and hit the checkpoint.  Get the Special Stage Key on the next tier
and bounce up to the area with enemies.  Destroy them and use Charmy to fly to
the block to the left.  On it is a hermit crab.

5) From where you got # 4 run down through the speed gate and you'll be boosted
to an island.  On this island is a hermit crab under the block on the uppermost
platform to the right.

6) From where you got # 5 jump into the cannon with Charmy.  On the platform you
land on is a hermit crab.

7) From where you got # 6 jump back to the cannon, but not into it.  Fly to the
large platform and then to the small one with a wooden crate on it.  Beneath the
crate is a hermit crab.

8) From where you got # 7 fly to the platform with the spring ahead and bounce
to the island.  Under the large block is another hermit crab.

9) From where you got # 8 cross the ruins as they rise.  Near the booster on the
grass you find is a hermit crab.

10) From where you got # 9 boost up into a checkpoint.  Instead of boosting fly
to the stone platform and from there the stone platform with the wooden crate on
it.  Under the crate is the last hermit crab.  Mission complete.

                            |    Ocean Palace    |
                            +--------------------+

Rescue the Chao trapped in the palace!

Perhaps this is another testing mission, but you must rescue a Chao.  It is at
the end of this level so it would be more logical to do a regular level
walkthrough.  Bounce on the springs ahead and force open the door with Vector.
Go ahead, kill the robot, and break the rubble.  Keep doing this until you reach
a block you can't break.  Switch to Fly Formation and fly to the top through an
aerial booster.  One booster to leads to another, which leads to the checkpoint.

Go through the Speed Gate and run down to a fan.  Switch to Vector and use
Bubble Gum Descent here.  Defeat the flying enemy and get the Special Stage Key.
Then switch to Charmy and to the next tier, and then to the door.  Use Vector to
break open that door.  Switch to Charmy and fly up the trail of rings to a new
section.  Get the 20-ring item box and boost.  Avoid the spike balls and jump
into the aerial booster.  Follow the path to a door, which Vector must force
open.  Switch to Espio and home attack the wall.  This makes you grab it.  Press
A continually to jump from wall to wall.  From now this will be called Espio's
wall technique.  Anyway, reach the other side and go through the Power Gate.
Boost through the three rings to a checkpoint.

Use Bubble Gum Descent at the fan and again at the upper fan you find.  Go
through the Speed Gate and then the Power Gate.  Break the rubble that falls and
defeat the enemies.  Then force open the door.  Switch to Charmy and activate
the warp flower.  Jump in and get the Special Stage Key.  Now attack the enemies
and head for the fan, breaking the stone that falls.  Use Bubble Gum Descent on
the many fans and break open the cage with the Chao.  Mission complete!

                           |    Boss: Egg Hawk    |
                           +----------------------+

The definitive boss of the game (Not really) is dogging you now.  Your employer
explains that this is the devious Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, a self proclaimed
genius.  Back to the boss now.  Avoid the cannon fire and when you reach the
sandy arena use Vector's Hammer Down attack on the machine's back.  It has 100
health although it is not formidable.  To inflict damage while on the catwalk
use Espio to home attack the head around the cockpit.  When you win Eggman
escapes but you still got a mission complete.

                          +------------------------+

Clear out the enemies in the city!

Yes, you must destroy all 85 enemy robots.  Because there are so many, each
paragraph will contain ten robot kills.

Run to the bottom of the energy bridge and bounce over the energy wall.  There
are four enemies to kill here.  Now cross the energy bridge that forms and kill
the enemy on the new platform.  This is your fifth.  Now head up the energy
bridge and kill the two robot enemies you find here.  Now you have seven.
Bounce on the spring and home attack the enemies.  Kill one of the robots on the
platform.
For the first kill the other robot on the platform.  Now you have eleven.  Fly
to the turtle robot and kill it.  That is twelve.  Then the energy bridge forms.
Cross it and take out the three flyers here for fifteen.  Get the Special Stage
Key and kill the three enemies near it.  Here's eighteen.  Now fly through the
aerial booster to the checkpoint.  Boost down the energy bridge using the
booster and finish off the two flyers at the end.  That's twenty.

Now boost up and use Team Blast on the enemies.  There are seven of these
enemies.  Push in the switch on the wall and press the switch.  Get the power
core and then head up the energy bridge.  Kill three of the enemies here and
you've reached thirty.

Kill the remaining flyer and you've got thirty-one.  Boost through the loops and
through the window.  You'll land by the checkpoint.  Kill the turtle in front of
you for thirty-two.  Now push in the switches on either door to decimate a total
of four enemies.  Now you have thirty-four.  Kill four of the robots that fall
down and you've gotten forty.

After the robot-killing spree you'll have destroyed forty-three, including a
turtle.  Get in the cannon with Vector, aim, and launch each different member at
a flyer to destroy them (Launching Vector at the central one).  Now you've got
forty-six.  Defeat the two robotic gunners for forty-eight.  Now activate the
warp flower and take it.  Destroy two of the robot guards for fifty.

Kill the other for fifty-one.  Now kill the flyers along the energy path for
fifty-six.  Hovering over the gap is your fifty-seventh.  Fall down (Behind
where you fall is the Special Stage Key) and attack the turtle robot here for
fifty-eight.  Now press the switch to open the door.  Kill the flyer here
guarding the aerial booster for fifty-nine.  Then boost up and kill another
flyer for sixty.

Kill the other for sixty-one.  Follow the path to a gunner with a shield and
destroy it for sixty-two.  Now press the switch to the door.  Kill the robot
sleeping in front of it for sixty-three, then boost.  Get the checkpoint and
with Vector jump into the cannon.  Aim at the three flyers and shoot to defeat
them.  Now you have sixty-six.  Jump into the central aerial booster that leads
to three rings that sends you to an energy path.  Take it to a flyer, destroy it,
and drop down to destroy two more.  Now you have sixty-nine.  Use Espio's Ninja
Leaf Swirl at the pole and pass through the Fly Gate ahead.  Defeat the flyer
for seventy.

Fly over the HEXAeco sign and defeat two of the robots here for seventy-two.
Bounce up to your seventy-third victim, a turtle robot.  Press the switch it was
covering and the door opens.  Use the Ninja Leaf Swirl at the pole and boost up
the path to a checkpoint.  Now home attack the two flyers and destroy the robot
for seventy-six.  Behind the billboard is a Special Stage Key.  Now bounce up to
a rail, with Charmy as team leader, and grind to the flyer and destroy him with
Thunder Shoot.  While grinding you should get eighty.

When the entire grinding sequence is over you should have eighty-one.  Kill the
two flyers at the blimp and press the switch.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and use Team
Blast on the last two enemies.  You got eighty-five!

Defeat the three gold turtle robots!

Yes, another enemy-hunt.  This time it is slightly easier.  This time, though,
I'll use the standard checkpoint procedure and just have you kill the gold
turtle robots as you find them.  I believe your employer wants you to save the
city to cut off Eggman's energy source and profits and he must stop robot
production.  Have fun.

Start out by heading forward and defeat the green turtle.  There is a Special
Stage Key in this room.  Defeating the robot will make the air wall appear.
Ascend and use Charmy to take out the flyer.  Then fly up the platform and
destroy another flying enemy by an air wall.  Float up and destroying another
flyer.  The energy road now forms.  Now at the air wall you reach fly to the top
with Charmy.  Head into the next room, the congregation center of the flyers,
and Thunder Shoot them silly.  Then have Charmy fly to the flasher above the
platform.  Defeat the badniks in this room and fly from the platform that rises
to an air wall.  You are in the room with the golden turtle.  Beneath one of the
stacks of metal crates is a switch.  Press it and the golden turtle becomes
accessible.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl on it and attack its underside.  We've got one
down, two more to go.  Now head through the hall and to the first and only one
of the checkpoints.

Fly up to the furthest weight and take it to the flasher.  Jump off and you'll
see golden turtle robot # 2.  Thunder Shoot the targets around the cage and use
Ninja Leaf Swirl again on the turtle and attack its belly when the cage is
lowered.  Only one more to go.  Drop back down to where the checkpoint was and
take the energy bridge to a loop sequence.  Destroy the flyer at the end and
press the switch.  Then use Ninja Leaf Swirl by the pole.  You'll grind to an
energy bridge that leads to an air wall.

Defeat the enemies in the new room with Charmy and press the switch.  Now use
Espio to perform Ninja Leaf Swirl by the pole.  Destroy the green turtle in the
room you're sent to and fly to the platforms that extend from the wall.  Drop
down to ground level in this section and attack the turtle.  Fly from platform
to platform again until you reach the top.  Here's the third golden turtle.  Use
Team Blast to save you some time and mission complete.

out to steal Eggman's treasure, which rightfully belongs to her for some reason,
and thus they must destroy you.  Win in thirty seconds for an A rank.  To do
this you must knock them off the platform.  To do this quickly get in the center
of the platform and just as they approach use Ninja Leaf Swirl real quick and
blow them away.  Well done.

Win 200 Rings!

This is easy enough.  To infiltrate the city you must disguise yourselves as
local gamblers.  So, win two hundred rings and you've got a good disguise.  This
is a really easy mission that can be done is one paragraph.  Let's get started,
shall we?  Take the dice to the next tier and deal with the enemy.  Then bounce
up and get in the cannon with either Charmy or Espio.  You'll be shot into the
pinball machine.  Play the slot machines over and over until you have enough
rings.  Easy as that.

                           |    BINGO Highway    |
                           +---------------------+

This is an annoying level because I hate this world, but it is not that hard.
For one reason or another your employer wants you to get ten casino chips, to
get to the boss.  Here's your guide.

1) Walk forward.  The first chip is directly in front of you.

2) From where you got # 1 bounce on the springs on the side of the wall.  Press
the switch to open the door while avoiding the searchlight robot and use
Vector's Bubble Gum Descent at the fan.  At the top defeat the badniks and get
the second casino chip.

3) From here get the Special Stage Key and break the glass.  You'll bounce to a
new platform.  Thunder Shoot the metal enemy and have Vector destroy it.  Now
press the switch behind you and fly from the dice to the checkpoint.  Now use
Vector to hit the checker thing.  Destroy the enemies here and press the switch
to stabilize the dice.  Use them to get to the top and then use the Flasher.
Bounce wall-to-wall on the springs and then down a Bingo slide.  One of the
casino chips is located in the lane before you get Bingo chip # 9.

4) At the end of the Bingo slide you'll be on a pinball machine.  Exit at the
top and destroy the enemies you encounter.  Now get on the uppermost die and
rotate the camera view.  Fly to a casino chip near the roof.

5) Get back on that die and fly to the side hallway.  Cross the gap by flying to
the die.  Here is the fifth chip.

6) Jump to the checkpoint.  Now bounce up to a tunnel.  You'll roll down.  At
the end of the first tunnel use the two flippers at the start of the second to
send you above the bouncy squares.  Behind the central one is the next casino
chip.

7) Roll down the tunnel and spring up to the next level.  Use Thunder Shoot on
the electric flyer and get the casino chip it guarded.

8) Defeat all the enemies to open the door.  Go through and use Bubble Gum
Descent at the fan to levitate up.  At the top bounce from bouncy square to
bouncy square until you reach the eighth casino chip.

9) Fall down and obliterate the robot troopers.  Then press the switch to open
the door.  Use Vector's Hammer Down attack to break the glass and as you fall
get the casino chip.

10) As you roll down the Bingo slide you can get a casino chip before the Bingo
chip # 4.  When you fall down through the glass when getting casino chip # 9 you
should leave one person behind so you can have multiple tries at getting these
last two chips.  Mission complete.

                        |    Boss: Robot Carnival    |
                        +----------------------------+

Essentially Robot Carnival is just a series of robots that attack you.  The
first "wave" consists of flyers.  Attack them with Espio, using the homing
attack.  The second wave is exactly the same.  The third is similar.  For this
one just use Thunder Shoot.  However, unlike the last, there are mini-jets you
must Thunder Shoot as well.  The fourth wave is comprised of flyers in an easy
to home attack formation.  Use Team Blast on the fifth wave.  Then bounce on the
spring and home attack the balloon for a Team Blast Ring.  Use Vector on the
sixth wave infantry units and Charmy on the flyers.  For the seventh wave use
Thunder Shoot to take out the flyers in droves.  The next is made of jellyfish
robots and mini-jets.  Thunder Shoot the latter and have Vector slam the former.
Use Team Blast on the ninth wave.  For the tenth wave get out Charmy and Thunder
Shoot the flyers to their demises.  For the eleventh wave take out the turtles
first with Vector and then the flying enemies with the Charmy/Vector combo.  Use
Charmy on the mini-jets.  For the twelfth wave just use Vector to take out the
infantry units, or use Team Blast if you've saved enough up.  This will give you
major rings.  There you go; you've won.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Rail Canyon    |
                            +-------------------+

Infiltrate the terminal station!

Here's Eggman's main base.  You must destroy it (Later on).  You start grinding
down a rail.  Eventually you'll realize you're going in circles.  Switch to
Charmy and when you see a platform above the rail jump to it and grind through
the switch.  This changes the direction of the energy rail (And the color to
red).  Keep grinding and you'll boost up to a checkpoint.

Boost onto the energy rail from the checkpoint and onto a new platform.  Destroy
the robots and get the Special Stage Key behind the mini-tower.  Fly up to the
top of tower where there is a barrel and press the switch concealed in it.  Now
go and grind on the red energy rail to a new platform.  Use the booster and at
the end of the rail you'll hit a booster sending you in the opposite of the
desired direction.  Jump to the side and enter the small alcove.  Activate the
warp flower and step in.  From where you appear exit the place and destroy the
badniks.  Then use the spring to bounce to the checkpoint.

Press the switch to open the door.  Then get on the leftmost rail.  When you can,
jump to the new series of rails to avoid the bull train, and at the end jump to
the new platform.  Behind it is a trio of switches.  Press all three and use
Charmy to make the warp flower bloom.  Enter it and hit the checkpoint.

With Charmy, jump into the cannon.  Get the level up and boost down the rail.
As the grinding session ends you shall kill the robot and touch the switch.
Start grinding and jump to the right to avoid colliding with the bull train.
Fly over the fence with Charmy and fly over the next with the same bee.  Jump
onto the rail and grind.  This time jump left to the checkpoint when avoiding
the bull train.

Bounce over the fence and decimate the robot you find.  Bounce over the fence
with the spring and continue grinding on the rightmost rail.  When the timing is
perfect (Right after bull train departs) and with Charmy in the lead, jump from
the rail you're on onto the next three rails.  Then jump to the platform with
the robot on it.  Kill this and press the switch.  Then grind on your normal
rail to another platform.  On this are two robots.  Destroy both and press the
switch here.  Then get back on your normal rail and grind.  For the section
you're grinding on now you must hit the switches an odd number of times.
Accomplish this by jumping over one.  Now continue to the terminal.  Keep
grinding to the Goal Ring.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Bullet Station    |
                           +----------------------+

Destroy 30 capsules!

You start grinding.  The goal today is to destroy thirty capsules.  I will write
each paragraph for each ten you destroy.  I believe the significance of
destroying the pods is minimal.  I think your employer is just leading you to
Eggman's base using the seemingly useless capsules as bait.  Oh well.

At the end of the grinding period fall to the bottom of the platform and destroy
four of the capsules with Vector.  Now (Also with Vector) get in the cannon and
shoot yourself toward the platform with the large fence on it.  You'll bounce
behind the fence where there are two more capsules to destroy, bringing the
number up to six.  Now fly over the fence and grind back to the platform with
the cannon on it.  Go in as Charmy and destroy the capsule on the new level
you're brought to.  Also, destroy the badnik.

Press the right switch and go to the left booster to go up the rail.  Grind to
the end and you'll land near a checkpoint.  Destroy the capsule ahead for eight.
Also, the Special Stage Key is in the vicinity.  Now drop down into the gap and
destroy the capsule you land by.  Now press the switch under the wooden crate
opposite where the capsule was and bounce to the upper level.  Switch to Charmy
and fly out to the platform with the tenth capsule on it.

Fly again to the next platform with two capsules on it.  Destroy them and press
the switches that were beneath them.  The pole rises.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl here
and grind to a door.  Here, destroy the two capsules to bring your number up to
fourteen.  Press the three switches to open the door and traverse the hallway.
Then use Hammer Down on the grated metal on the floor.  You'll fall down to a
golden jellyfish.  Defeat it, advance, and defeat the next enemies.  With Espio
get in the cannon and hit the checkpoint.  Now head right over the narrow
catwalk to a new region.

Fly over the fence and destroy the capsule for fifteen.  Then press the switch
in front of the door and go inside the cannon.  Destroy the two obvious capsule
in here and then destroy the two behind the metal crate to have nineteen.  Now
jump into, as Espio said, "the internal mechanism of the cannon".  Maneuver
around, getting balloons and landing on the rail.  Make sure when you land to be
either left or right (While airborne).  Grind on and you'll find yourself by a
fan.  Use Bubble Gum Descent here and rise up.  Hit the capsule on the next tier
of this section you rise to for twenty.

Use Bubble Gum Descent at the fan again and hover to the checkpoint.  Jump to
the fan and take it up to the two capsules.  Destroy them to have twenty-two and
then continue the Bubble Gum Descent action to a new platform (Pressing a switch
on the second last fan along the way).  Grind to the springs, hit the capsule,
get the Special Stage Key behind the capsule, and bounce up on top of the
building.  Then use Hammer Down on the grated metal tiles.  You'll fall to
Eggman's train system (The rails, I ascertain, are used for Eggman's elaborate
train systems).  Grind to the second train and fly to the third (Hitting the
capsule while on the second, of course).

Destroy the three capsules here and use Ninja Leaf Swirl by the pole.  Switch to
Charmy on the fourth train and fly over the spikes.  Then use Espio's wall
technique with good timing to get across the gap.  At the end use Vector to
attack the engine's core.  When you land you'll be in a cart.  Lose Espio and
you go slowly, and if you lose Charmy you can't jump.  Losing Vector results in
death.  This is actually called a bobsled, by the way.  Jump over lasers, and
spike balls, and if you're lucky you'll hit all three of the pods here getting
thirty.  If you're not lucky, you can get the remaining capsule(s) further into
the bobsledding.  Mission complete.

                        +---------------------------+
                        |    Boss: Egg Albatross    |
                        +---------------------------+

Here we find out that the Egg Albatross is really a modified transport ship
designed to carry Eggman's secret weapons.  This is really the Egg Hawk with a
mechanical makeover, but I'll cover it nonetheless.  This boss can and should be
done completely with Espio.  At first home attack the wings.  You'll probably
destroy the laser turrets first, but that doesn't matter.  To prevent flying
into the canyon Eggman drops the body of the ship and uses the blimp part to
attempt his escape.  Home attack the tail propeller repeatedly and eventually
the blimp will be shed.  Now you have him.  He releases the Egg Hawk (Only it is
much weaker than it was; it has only 15 health) and you must home attack the
head around the cockpit until you win.  After the cinema you find out Eggman was
a fake and the detectives begin to suspect their client's real identity.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Frog Forest    |
                            +-------------------+

Get through the forest without being detected by the frogs!

This is another secluded little area where Eggman keeps an army in waiting.
There are frogs in this forest that croak and summon rain when they are
surprised.  You surprise them by them seeing you, by the way.  Your client says
the rain will make you an easy target, so you must make it through the jungle
without being detected by frogs.  To do this, use Espio's Ninja Leaf Swirl (The
side effect of using it makes you invisible).  In my guide for this level I
presume throughout it that you are under the protection of Ninja Leaf Swirl.

Jump up and home attack the bouncy fruit.  Then run up the path for a few loops.
You land by a frog.  Remember to always be under the cover of Ninja Leaf Swirl!
Home attack the bouncy fruit and jump from the yellow platform to the vine rail.
Grind it and vine swing to the upper tier.  Here is the checkpoint and the
Special Stage Key, while you're at it.

Switch to Charmy momentarily and fly through the aerial booster.  Now switch
back to Espio, use Ninja Leaf Swirl, and cross the platforms to a mushroom you
must fly to.  This bounces you up to a checker thing.  Hit it with Vector and
when you land immediately use Ninja Leaf Swirl.  Now boost for some loops and
you'll reach a mushroom.  Use it to bounce up to a yellow platform and then
switch to Charmy.  Go through the aerial booster but do not bounce on the spring.
Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and bounce up.  Now jump to the checkpoint.

Home attack across the gaps to reach a warp flower.  Activate it and use it to
fly to the top.  Now jump through the aerial booster to a platform.  Get the
item box and use Ninja Leaf Swirl by the flower.  Grab the flower and you'll
take off.  You'll fall into a hollow mushroom and be boosted onto a vine rail.
Grind to a vine swing and then home attack across the gap right in front of the
three frogs.  When you're a safe distance away switch to Vector and use him on
the checker thing.  Use Charmy to fly to the flower and deploy Espio.  Use Ninja
Leaf Swirl on it and you'll land near a checkpoint.

Use the vine swings to cross the gap.  Avoid the frog and use the next vine
swing to cross the gap again.  Follow the trail of rings to the Goal Ring.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Lost Jungle    |
                            +-------------------+

Rescue 10 Chao!

Basically, your client dislikes a certain Team Rose in this jungle.  He knows
Team Rose carries Cheese (A Chao) and wants to start a fight to delay their
progress.  So, this pointless little side quest is started.  Chao, for anyone
who's not played either Sonic Adventure game, are tiny blue creatures with
yellow orbs above their heads.  Although they didn't include it in this game, in
past games Chao Garden was where you could raise your own Chao and it was very
entertaining.  Let the guide begin.

1) Head forward and a large armored robot will confront you.  Attack him with
Vector, aiming for the head, and you'll win in no time.  When you win use the
spring to bounce up.  Also, with the spring comes a Chao.

2) You'll bounce to a black frog.  It's okay to let it rain, but black frogs'
rain kill plants.  Follow the path, killing robots along the way, and fly to the
second platform.  It has a Chao on it.

3) Conveniently located, the third Chao is on the platform behind (And above)
the one with # 2 on it.

4) Jump to the vine swing and swing to the Special Stage Key.  Get it and follow
the path to a vine swing.  Take it to a platform with a frog on it.  Make him
make it rain and home attack the bouncy fruits that grow.  Follow the bouncy
fruits up to a platform with wooden crates on it.  Destroy them and under the
upper one is a Chao.

5) From where we left off head forward and bounce up to a vine swing.  Take it
to the checkpoint and fly to the vine swings.  Take them across the gap and Team
Blast the armored robot you find.  A cage containing a Chao is now opened.

6) From here head right and onto a platform by the leaves with a Chao on it.

7) Follow the trail to a loop.  You'll be sprung to an island with several
enemies on it.  Defeat them and on the leftmost mushroom is a Chao.

8) Use Vector to hit the checker thing and bounce to the island with the black
frog on it.  Head upward and jump onto the black platform by the black frog
containing a Chao.

9) Almost done.  Go to the flower and use Ninja Leaf Swirl.  Home attack the
jellyfish from where you are and while in air get the Chao flying around.

10) For the last Chao look no further than the second tier.  Follow the trail to
a Fly Formation Signal and fly up to the second tier.  Thunder Shoot the metal
enemy and let Vector finish him off.  The Chao is released from captivity.  Get
it and you're done.

                          +-----------------------+
                          |    Boss: Team Rose    |
                          +-----------------------+

Mistaking Cheese (Cream's Chao) for a Chao they must rescue, Team Chaotix is
pitted against Team Rose for the Chao.  To win with an A rank, simply win in
less than thirty seconds.  To do this, knock your opponents off the platform by
using Ninja Leaf Swirl by them to blow them away.  Piece of cake...

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Hang Castle    |
                            +-------------------+

Get the keys inside the haunted castle!

Here's the deal.  To reach the elusive Eggman you need to get inside the castle.
To get there you must get the keys to open the door.  There are ten keys to find,
so be ready for another search level.

1) Head forward and after some loops spring up to a new platform.  On the
elevated block is the first key.

2) Get the Special Stage Key to the left and use Hammer Down on the wooden
crates to the right.  Get the item box when you fall down and go outside to
touch a glowing orb.  The horizon is turned upside down.  Now start grinding.
After grinding you are jettisoned to a floating platform.  Ride it to the top of
the platform and fly to the next platform.  Between the upside down torches is
the second key.

3) Walk between the right side up torches and cross the invisible path (The
flames that appear are the boundaries).  Defeat the enemies here and jump to the
switch.  Press it and use Charmy to make the warp flower bloom.  Enter it and
touch the glowing orb.  The world is at it should be now, except the door is
open.  Walk through and on the block is a key.

4) For the Special Stage Key break the wall to the left where the fissure is.
Now climb the stairs and jump onto the platform.  It rises to a rail.  Take it
up and follow the path to a key.

5) Return to the rail and grind down this time.  Take it to the platform with
the checkpoint on it.  Then touch the glowing orb ahead.  The key is between the
upside down torches.

6) Fly up to the flower and activate it.  In the room you're brought to kill the
guards and get the key.

7) Go through the flower again and jump off this platform to the levitating
platform.  Take it up and destroy the badniks.  Use Thunder Shoot on the targets
and when the timing is right fly to the levitating platform.  Take it up, press
the switch, and enter the area with the green gas.  Defeat the robots here and
touch the glowing orb.  Behind you is a key.

8) Head forward and follow the flames on the invisible path.  Halfway along the
invisible path is a key.

9) Use Vector to destroy the part of the wall where there is a crack and destroy
the wooden crates.  Pull both switches that are revealed and walk through the
spot where the door once stood.  Defeat the enemies and break the wall below the
door where there is a crack in the wall for the next castle key.

10) Fly up and destroy the metal flyer.  Press all three switches and the door
opens.  Pass through the checkpoint and go behind the tower.  There is a glowing
orb there.  Press it and go behind the tower.  Now climb up the sort of stairs
and destroy the enemies as you go.  At the end pull out the switch and touch the
glowing orb.  You'll fall down to the last key.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Mystic Mansion    |
                           +----------------------+

Blow out all the red torches!

Your client wants you to fight Eggman, and he is leading you to him.  The red
torches deal is bait.  I will make paragraphs for every ten torches.  Let's
start.

Use Ninja Leaf Swirl on the four red torches in here and the blue one, if you
want.  Defeat the enemy and the door opens.  Enter the hallway and press the
switch to open the door.  Pass through and go behind the door to a platform.
Use Charmy to Thunder Shoot the target above the door and go in front of it now.
Press the glowing orb and defeat the enemy to open the door.  In the hallway are
four more torches to be unlit.  There are two more by the large weight, giving
you ten red torches unlit as of now.

Get the Special Stage Key and fly to the checkpoint.  Press the switch in front
of the door to open it.  In this room there are four torches to extinguish.
Then defeat the enemies and press the glowing orb.  Use Team Blast on the
paintings, which materialized, and pass into the new room.  In this room use
Ninja Leaf Swirl on the two torches to bring the total up to sixteen.  Activate
the warp flower with Charmy and enter.  Pass through the checkpoint and blow out
the two torches.  Now you have eighteen.  The Special Stage Key is under a crate
here.  Destroy the robot sorcerer and the door opens.  Go through and press the
switch on the right.  Fly up the platforms to a warp flower.  Activate it and
you'll be in a hallway.  Extinguish two for twenty.

When the extinguishing is done in the hallway you should have exactly thirty.

To leave the hallway simply fly up with Charmy and hit the target in the room.
One of the doors open revealing a glowing orb.  Press it and you'll be in a new
hallway with the checkpoint.  Extinguish the flames here for thirty-four.  Now
use Espio's wall technique to cross the gap.  Now fall into the pit where the
door is and you'll be by a giant fan.  Get to the edge and have Vector break the
part of the wall that is cracked.  Press the switch inside and use Bubble Gum
Descent to reach the hallway.  For thirty-six strong extinguish the two torches
here and fall into the pit.  You'll bounce up to a locked door.  Have Charmy fly
to the switch above the door to open it.  Trigger the glowing orb inside and the
statues come to life.  Defeat them and exit via the door.  There are two torches
here.  Press the switch to open the door.  There are two torches in the next
room.

Team Blast the enemy and you should have forty.  When the armored foe is dead go
in the next room and extinguish both torches.  Activate the warp flower and go
in.  There are four torches to be extinguished in this room.  Breaking each
section of the wall reveals the Special Stage Key and a path.  Take the path,
blow out the two torches here, and ride the weight up.  Press the three switches
by the door to open it.  Now, for the next two use Charmy to grind on the spider
web and jump from rail to rail to get to the torches.  There are four in the
room, so extinguish two for fifty torches unlit.

Extinguish the other two for fifty-two.  Make sure when you extinguish these
torches to press the switch to open the door.  Now proceed to the next room.  In
the next room use Espio's Ninja Leaf Swirl and jump up through the lasers to the
glowing orb.  You'll fall to a room with several enemies to destroy.  Do so and
take the flasher down the well.  Blow out the torches in this room for fifty-six.
Now activate the warp flower.  Enter and use Team Blast on your assailant.  The
last four torches are here.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and you've got yourself sixty.
Mission complete.

                         +-------------------------+
                         |    Boss: Robot Storm    |
                         +-------------------------+

As Vector put it, "it's an endless sea of robots".  Not quite true, because they
do end, but somewhat true because a sea has waves.  The first wave of attack is
a bunch of flyers.  Home attack them.  The second wave consists of metal
spearmen.  Use Vector to take them out.  As for the third, use Vector to take
out the robotic gunners in droves.  The glowing orb is now accessible.  Touch it
and the world turns upside down.  Use Team Blast on the fourth wave.  The fifth
wave is a group of robot flyers, each of which can summon other enemies.  The
sixth are a few robot sorcerers and a few common flyers.  Destroy them
respectively.

To reach the next group, get in the cannon with Espio or Charmy.  The seventh
wave is comprised of gunners and spearmen.  The eighth is made of an armored
robot, many flyers, and a few infantry units.  Defeat the big guy first and then
let the chips fall where they may.  For the ninth wave use Team Blast.  Now
touch the glowing orb.  The tenth wave is a group of flyers positioned in an
easy-target home attack position.  The eleventh wave is quite irksome.  Get in
the cannon with Vector and shoot yourself at the enemies until you destroy them
all.  The twelfth wave is made of a few infantry units.  After that the cannon
becomes accessible.  Get in with Charmy or Espio and use Team Blast on the
thirteenth wave.  The fourteenth wave is a few flyers and a robot sorcerer.
Home attack them, or (For some reason I had enough to do another Team Blast
right after the using it) Team Blast them.  Also, there are two armored robots,
so the second option may be better.  You've won; the farce has been played.

                             +-----------------+
                             |    Egg Fleet    |
                             +-----------------+

Infiltrate the flagship without being detected by enemies!

You start grinding.  On today's agenda we're going to free the client from the
insidious Dr. Eggman.  However, we cannot do that until we get to the heart of
Eggman's fleet.  So, we must get to the heart of the fleet without being
detected by enemies.  The level ends when the whale shark flagship is no more.
I'm ready.

Like I said, you start grinding.  Then you grind all the way down to a ship.
Run forward and instantly use Ninja Leaf Swirl.  You should be under the cover
of Ninja Leaf Swirl constantly.  Now defeat the enemies with Espio and when all
are dead press the switch and go through the door.  Here's the first checkpoint,
right by a Fly Formation Signal.

Momentarily switch to Charmy and fly up to the next ship.  Then switch use Ninja
Leaf Swirl and decimate that robot.  When he's dead have Vector break the crates
and then become stealthy again.  Bounce up with the spring to the side corridor
and walk through the lasers.  Press the switch to deactivate them and use Charmy
to fly through an aerial booster to a rail.  Keep grinding and you'll land near
the Special Stage Key.  Get it and bounce to the checkpoint.

Jump to the cannon platform and fly to the next.  Before entering the laser
hallway use Ninja Leaf Swirl again and walk through the lasers.  Press the
switch and switch to Charmy.  Fly up to the booster and you'll grind to another
rail.  Keep going until you reach a checkpoint.

Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and destroy the robots ahead with Shuriken Stars.  When
you've sent each to oblivion get Vector out and destroy the cages.  Then step on
all three switches.  Go through the door and bounce up to a warp flower.  Enter
it and use Ninja Leaf Swirl immediately.  Destroy the sleeping robot and use the
fan to get to the next platform.  Then use Shuriken Stars on these sleeping
robots and work your way up to the booster (While still under the radar).
You'll be launched straight through a checkpoint.

Now this part is somewhat difficult.  Walk ahead and break the cages with Vector.
Then, while avoiding the laser, step on each switch.  The door lowers; go
through and activate the warp flower.  Now use Ninja Leaf Swirl and activate all
the switches on the sides.  Then fly to the right and fly up to the next
platform, avoiding the cannon and lasers.  Destroy the cannon and fly up to the
spring.  Now use Ninja Leaf Swirl and destroy the cannons and enemy in the metal
arena.  To destroy the shield robot use Team Blast.  Now the door opens.  Pass
through and hit the Goal Ring.  Mission complete.

                           +----------------------+
                           |    Final Fortress    |
                           +----------------------+

Find the keys to the cell where the client is locked up.

The final mission and then you get big bucks.  Your client has been captured,
and to open the cell he's in you need five keys.  Good luck.

1) Hit the checker thing and you'll be on the rail; grind.  When you land
destroy the sentry robots and get the first key.

2) Fly over the X sign to a metal platform then to a catwalk.  Run down the path
and bounce up.  You'll see one of Eggman's robots.  Thunder Shoot it and fly by.
Then use Espio's wall technique to cross the gap behind it.  Fly over to the
floating platform from the collapsing one and jump to the one with many cannons
on it.  Get the Special Stage Key and fly up to the flasher.  Pass through the
checkpoint and hit the checker thing.  Use Espio's wall technique to get across
and then run down the catwalk to a robot guard.  Jump over the lasers and boost
up to an armored robot.  Defeat it and get the key.

3) Bounce to the rail and grind to the platform with the caged cannon.  Defeat
the robots and enter it with Espio.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl at the pole and grind
down to the collapsing platform shaped like a T.  Jump to the platform branded
with Eggman's face and get to the top.  Under the cannon here is a spring.  Take
it up and use Team Blast on the badnik.  Then Hammer Down through the metal
crates and get the Special Stage Key behind you.  Head forward, switch to Espio,
use Ninja Leaf Swirl, and walk through the lasers to the boosters.  When you
land switch to Vector and beat up the sorry robots.  Bounce up with the spring
and fly over the lasers.  Defeat the E2000 (Gold shield robot) and the door
lowers.  Here's the third key.

4) Fly over the lasers and through the checkpoint.  Then jump onto the switch.
Grind and avoid the lasers.  At the end you'll have to fight another E2000.
Defeat it for the fourth key.

5) Almost done.  Fly to the next platform and use Espio's wall technique to
cross the gap while avoiding cannon fire.  Now destroy the cannon and bounce up.
Repeat and you'll fight a robot sentry.  Destroy it and fall into the pit.
Press the switch and use Ninja Leaf Swirl on the pole.  Now break the block and
spring up to the rail.  Grind to the cannon platform and use Team Blast on the
cannons and armored robot.  Now let Vector hit the checker thing and you'll be
launched to a booster.  Boost through the three rings and grind to the lowest
platform.  Here's the final key.  To get it defeat all of the enemies and go to
the key.

                         +-------------------------+
                         |    Boss: Egg Emperor    |
                         +-------------------------+

Here to thwart all your efforts is Dr. Eggman!  Not only that, but he's sporting
the destructive Egg Emperor.  He's a pushover, though.  As you start avoid his
sword slashes and get the level ups.  Then boost to the next catwalk.  Do not
stay too close because that's just stupid, but staying too far away results in
him charging you.  Defeat enemies as you go and use Vector to hit the checker
thing on the second catwalk.  Then you'll be taken to an arena.  Start by
destroying all the badniks and cannons and then use Thunder Shoot to disable his
shield.  Then use Hammer Down over and over to cause major damage (Hammer Down
on his glowing body).  Alternately, continue Thunder Shooting the body.  Keep
doing this until he has lost.  Also, use Team Blast whenever you like because it
does 20 damage.  All and all, he has 150 health points.  At the end you see the
Egg Emperor was controlled by a fake.  Vector breaks down the door to the cell
and the client is revealed.  Eggman!?  Why would Eggman be the client?  Trying
to lure you to your deaths?  Well, he didn't even have the money so Team Chaotix
is going to enjoy this...  Congratulations; you beat the Team Chaotix Story!

===============================Final Walkthrough*===============================
================================================================================

To unlock this level you must have all seven of the Chaos Emeralds (See my
Special Stage section) and each story beaten (See my walkthroughs).  There are
major spoilers ahead, so if you haven't unlocked this do not read.

The Final Storyline: It turns out that Eggman wasn't the real villain at all.
It was his creation, Metal Sonic!  Now he's out to get you after figuring out
all your weaknesses.  Can anyone defeat this ultimate adversary?

Note: I've pieced it all together.  It was really simple.  The photograph that
Amy, Cream, and Big had didn't show Sonic, but Metal Sonic.  Metal Sonic did
these things on purpose.  He lured the people to him to study them.  Here's what
I think Metal Sonic was thinking.

In Sonic Adventure 1 we saw Metal Sonic in a rehabilitation tube.  During this
time Metal Sonic was probably studying us.  He saw Amy, Big, Sonic, Tails,
Knuckles, and Eggman.  In Sonic Adventure 2 he probably saw Rouge, Shadow, and
further observed the others.  In Sonic Advance 2 he saw Cream.  Metal Sonic
probably thought he was helping Eggman by luring them here to be destroyed.  But
to prevent the genius scientist from getting in the way he locked him up.  What
Metal Sonic didn't predict was that Eggman called for Team Chaotix to come
rescue him, but it fit nicely into his plans.  In the meantime Metal Sonic stole
Chocola and Froggy, not only to study them, but also to attract Big, Cream, and
Amy.  He wrote a letter to Team Sonic in order to draw them closer.  In all the
boss battles he was studying their strengths and weaknesses so that in one final
battle he could put them down.  Shadow, Rouge, and Omega were unexpected, but
like Team Chaotix it worked out.  This is only my idea, but cinemas and such
confirm some of it.  Now the guide.

                        +---------------------------+
                        |    Boss: Metal Madness    |
                        +---------------------------+

You start off as Team Rose fighting Metal Madness.  His weakness is the glowing
orb thing on it that looks like the one on Egg Emperor.  You cannot home attack
it, so get out Big and use the Fire Dunk attack to target it.  This version of
Metal Madness has 99 health.  Metal Madness has three attacks in this form.  For
the first he shoots out spikes that remain in the arena after they've been.  For
the second it swings its tail around the field.  For the first just move to
avoid the spikes, for the second jump.  As for the third, he spews fire around
the arena.  Jump to avoid this.  Once you've drained his immense health with Big
the fight begins with Team Chaotix.

Now Metal Madness will have a shield around him.  If it is blue, speed attacks
are useless.  If it is red, power attacks are useless.  If it is yellow, fly
attacks are useless.  It also has a new attack.  Upon impact the missiles form
ice cubes.  Id you're caught in one you'll be frozen, and like the jellyfish
badniks, if all three are frozen you lose a life.  Aside from this, nothing has
changed.

Next up to bat is Team Dark.  There are many power cores here.  Get them to
increase strength and use Team Blast when the shield is yellow or blue.  This
way, for fifteen seconds you've got a whole lot of cheap shots.  After victory,
it seems you've won...

                        +----------------------------+
                        |    Boss: Metal Overlord    |
                        +----------------------------+

Weak and defeated, Metal Sonic is fleeing the scene.  However, Sonic still
hasn't had a chance to play.  With the seven chaos emeralds he transforms into
Super Sonic!  This is a really easy battle.  First of all, littered around the
sky are a lot of rings.  You need many rings to stay as Super Sonic.  This time
Metal Sonic has many attacks.  First, he'll use Chaos Control every now and then.
This makes you vulnerable to his other attacks.  Second, he uses the same ice
missiles he used in Metal Madness.  Third, he throws a ship from the fleet at
you.  Switch to Knuckles and use the Wide Power Attack and press B one more time
for a Super Power Attack.  This will destroy the ship.  For the fourth attack
Metal Overlord launches many regular missiles at you.  Switch to Tails and
Thunder Shoot them to take care of this.  His fifth attack is where he sends out
blocks of ice at you.  Have Super Sonic speed up by pressing B to break right
through them.

Metal Overlord isn't very tough once you figure out his attack sequences.
However, there is only one way to damage him.  You can use Super Team Blast
(Very cool) on him five times in order to win.  However, tread cautiously.
After the third Team Blast the balloons stop appearing, so you have no way of
getting rings.  Save up a lot of rings before using the third Team Blast and you
should be okay.  I won't spoil the ending for you, but let's just say Metal
Sonic will be back in future games.

CONGRATULATIONS!  You beat the game!  Still, you may not know all the secrets.
Check out the rest of the guide for more information.

=============================Challenge Walkthrough*=============================
================================================================================

Each team has different challenges.  Team Sonic must complete levels in a
certain time limit, Team Dark must defeat many enemies, Team Rose must collect
many rings, and Team Chaotix has weird missions.  Half the emblems lie in this
section.  You can't beat the game until you have all the emblems.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                            Team Sonic Challenges
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team Sonic always has time challenges.  They are often easy, but some of them
are insanely difficult.  The levels are exactly the same, so the current
walkthrough will suffice, but I have a few tips.

First off, always Light Dash whenever you can.  This saves a lot of time.  If
don't need to defeat an enemy, then don't.  Just skip them.  If you do need to
defeat an enemy then use Team Blast even if they're weak.  Always grind on rails.
Go through the three rings whenever you can to save time and gain bonus points.
Whenever you can use Sonic.  If there are two routes to take, take the quicker.
Also, don't stop for items like rings and capsules.  If you want an A rank you
may need to conflict with some of these rules, but if not these rules should
save you a lot of time.  Also, sometimes when grinding (I'm thinking of times
like in Bullet Station and Final Fortress) you're supposed to grind all the way
to the bottom platform.  If you're at a high altitude jump for the higher ones.
This saves tons of time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             Team Dark Challenges
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team Dark always has the challenge of defeating 100 enemies.  This may seem
tough, but it really isn't.  The regular walkthrough will suffice for these
missions, because the levels are exactly the same, but I have some tips.

First off, don't go out of your way to kill one enemy, or you'll die.  Use a
ranged attack, like Thunder Shoot, because I've died on multiple occasions
hunting one enemy.  Second, always take the long route.  Longer routes result in
more enemies to destroy.  Similarly, sometimes there are two routes to take, one
for Omega and one for someone else.  Take Omega's route because it probably will
have more enemies.  If both routes look good, take one and go back to the other.
Sometimes you'll skip over enemies accidentally.  Using Team Blast is a good way
to know you got them all when fighting very many.  Also, you can start a level
over if you reach the Goal Ring with less than 100 victims.  This helps, too.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                             Team Rose Challenges
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team Rose always has the challenge of collecting 200 rings.  In some levels this
is quite a hassle.  Nonetheless, you can use the regular walkthrough because the
levels are exactly the same.  I do have some tip for you, however.  First of all,
get barriers and balloons.  Balloons usually contain rings and barriers will
prevent you from losing them all if you get hit.  Second, don't go out of your
way for a few rings; I've often died doing this.  Third, get item boxes (Of
course) and if you have to, start the level over by reaching the Goal Ring.

                           Team Chaotix Challenges
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While the other teams' challenges could be summed up in a few paragraphs, Team
Chaotix has many unique challenges.  The levels change a little in some cases,
but for the most part they are the same.

Find all 20 hermit crabs!

All of the hermit crabs from the regular walkthrough are here, so I need only
list ten of them.  However, I know how annoying it is to have to go up and down
so I'll write them again.  They are in some unique places, though, I must admit.

1) Go through the loops until you reach three columns of rings.  Jump off the
side of the cliff and get the first hermit crab.

2) Spring back up and you'll notice the second hermit crab on the elevated stone.

3) Head forward and activate the warp flower.  Then bounce up and break the
stone with Vector.  Under it is the third hermit crab.

4) Break down the crates with Vector and boost to a spring.  Bounce up and on
the elevated stone is a hermit crab.

5) Jump down to the checkpoint and get the Special Stage Key.  Bounce up and
destroy the enemies.  Then fly to the top of the left stone for a hermit crab.

6) Run down the ramp and go through some loops, then you'll be sent to an island.
Get the hermit crab on the lowest left stone.

7) Using Vector break the block on the highest right stone.  Underneath is a
hermit crab.

8) Enter the cannon as Charmy and get the hermit crab.

9) Fly back to the cannon and jump onto the ruin that rises and take it to the
next with the wooden crate on it.  Underneath the crate is a hermit crab.

10) Now fly to the next platform and punch it (The block) with Vector.  Then
bounce to the island.  Punch the block with Vector and get the hermit crab.

11) Fly to the ruins with Charmy and by the boosters at the top is a hermit crab.

12) Boost to the checkpoint and fly to the platform to the left.  Under the
wooden crate at the end is a hermit crab.

13) Fall down and head through the Power Gate.  Break the blocks as you go at
the end you'll be on a half-island.  Enter the cannon as Vector and blast to the
island to the left.  Under the upper block is a hermit crab.

14) Use the ruins to get back to the cannon and enter with Charmy.  Follow the
trail through a Speed Gate to some ruins.  Boost at the end and you'll pass
through the checkpoint.  Go to the warp flower by the spring, activate it, and
enter.  In the area you're brought to there is a hermit crab.

15) Go back through the warp flower and bounce up.  Fly onto the block, head up,
and fly through the aerial boosters.  Get the invincibility and jump to the next
platform.  Punch the block and you've found another hermit crab.

16) Fall down and go to the back.  There is a block by a robot you must push.
Under it is a hermit crab.

17) By # 16 is another hermit crab under a block.

18) Enter the cannon with Charmy.  This takes you up to the path where you got
hermit crab # 15.  Take it to the end and drop down so you've crossed the water.
By a stone block (That conceals the Special Stage Key), is a hermit crab by the
water.

19) Head forward until you can go no further without jumping.  On the fourth of
the stone blocks is a hermit crab.

20) Jump into the cannon with Charmy and follow the path to a checkpoint.  Run
straight down the hill and boost to a new platform.  By the green flyer is a
hermit crab.  Mission complete.

Defeat the 5 gold turtle robots!

This time around there are five.  Because they are so far-spread I'll do a
regular one checkpoint per paragraph walkthrough.

As you start out run forward and destroy the green turtle.  Get the Special
Stage Key and ascend with the air wall.  Kill the enemy in this room and use the
platforms to get to the air wall.  Destroy the enemy here and the energy bridge
will form.  Take it up an air wall and head forward to a room with several
flyers.  Defeat them and jump onto the platform and take the flasher up.
Decimate the offense and fly to the top of the platform that rose.  Then fly to
the air wall.  Here's the first golden turtle robot.  Break the metal crate
stack and press the switch beneath.  Now use Ninja Leaf Swirl on the turtle and
attack its underbelly.  Now head out to where the weights are and pass through
the checkpoint.

Fly to the second weight and ride it up to a flasher.  Take it up and hit the
targets around the platform.  Then repeat what you did to the first golden
turtle to destroy it.  Two down, three to go.  Now backtrack to the checkpoint
and take the energy road to a few loops and then to a metal platform.  Here
destroy the robot and press the switch.  Then use Ninja Leaf Swirl at the pole.
You'll land on a rail.  Take the energy road up to a room with flyers.  Defeat
them all and press the switch formally guarded by the electric flyer.  Use Ninja
Leaf Swirl by the pole and destroy the green turtle you find.  Now fly to the
first ledge that comes out of the wall.  Now go to the third and fall off to
ground level.  Team Blast the golden turtle here.  Two remain.  Fly up and on
the next ground level Thunder Shoot all the enemies and take the platforms up to
the spring.  Bounce up and activate the warp flower.  Enter and destroy the
badniks on the other side of the pit.  Cross the energy bridge and after a few
loops you'll bounce to the checkpoint.

From here boost up the half-loop and ascend at the air wall.  You'll be by
springs.  Take the leftmost flasher up and jump to the platform with the spring
on it.  Bounce up and avoid the fireballs.  Head up the energy path and the
regular path to a room with electric flyers as the enemies.  Use the air wall to
go up and kill the lone defender of this room.  Use the platforms to get to the
top of this room and rise with the air wall.  Defeat the green turtle and boost
up the ramp.  Thunder Shoot the flyer and take the platform up to another flyer
room.  Defeat them and home attack your way across this gap.  Soon you'll take a
rail to the checkpoint.

Activate the warp flower and get in spring up.  Activate this warp flower and
get in.  There's another golden turtle in here.  Team Blast it and then go to
the electric flyers.  Destroy them and an energy path will form.  Take it for a
few loops and you'll land indoors.  Fly over the balls of fire and kill the last
golden turtle robot.  Mission complete.

Collect all 20 casino chips!

I hate this level but it must be done.  It is really hard because a lot of them
are in Bingo areas and pinball machine.  I liked getting ten casino chips better.
I'll list them here.

1) Walk forward.  The casino chip is right there.

2) Spring up the sides of the wall and defeat the searchlight enemy.  Press the
switch and the doors will open so go through.  Use Bubble Gum Descent at the fan
and in the new area defeat all the badniks for the second chip.

3) Get the Special Stage Key and use Hammer Down on the glass to fall through.
You'll roll straight to springs that bounce you to a searchlight enemy.  Fall
down to the pinball table below and get the casino chip by the lost hole.  Avoid
the lost hole and exit at the bottom.

4) Defeat the searchlight flyer and press the switch to steady the dice.  Use
them to fly up to a flasher and take it up.  Then bounce to a Bingo slide.  Take
the ramp that's here after the fifth and sixth Bingo chip and get the casino
chip in mid-air.

5) Before the ninth chip take the middle lane to get the casino chip.

6) At the end of the slide you'll be in a pinball machine.  Exit at the top and
defeat the electric flyers.  Use the die to fly to the roof where the sixth chip
is.

7) Use the furthest die to fly to the side hallway.  Follow the path to a die
with a casino chip on it.

8) From here drop to the pinball machine and get the casino chip in one of the
columns.  Exit the machine at the top.

9) Get the Special Stage Key and use the green balls to bounce up to the
checkpoint.  Spring up to the tunnel and after the first tunnel ends use the
flippers to go to the top of the bouncy squares.  The center one has a casino
chip on top of it.

10) At the end you'll be by a door and enemy.  Defeat the electric enemy and
take the casino chip it guarded.

11) Kill the other enemy to open the door.  Use the fan at the end in
combination with Bubble Gum Descent to rise up.  At the top bounce on the bouncy
squares to the casino chip.

12) Defeat the enemies here and press the switch to open the door.  Use Fire
Dunk to break the glass, switch to Charmy, and fall out to the casino chip.  Fly
and get it if you must.

13) After the second and third Bingo chip is the thirteenth.

14) On the platform after the fifth Bingo chip is the fourteenth.

15) Right before the seventh, eighth, and ninth Bingo chip is the fifteenth.

16) At the end you'll be in a pinball machine.  Below the slot machine is the
sixteenth casino chip.

17) You'll land by many springs.  Bounce up to the casino chip.

18) Drop to the lower level.  You probably missed many chips on the Bingo slide.
Activate the warp flower and take it to go again.  If not, head forward, and get
the Special Stage Key.  Take the die back up and use the green balls to bounce
to a circle of rings.  In the center is the chip.

19) Rotate the camera view and press the two switches.  Now jump back off the
place to the green balls and a door will have opened.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and
pass through the lasers.  Get the chip and return to where you got # 18.

20) Use the warp flower to go to a pinball machine.  Below and to the right of
the slot machine is the last chip.

Destroy all the capsules!

There are fifty capsules to destroy instead of thirty.  This is pretty easy, if
I do say so myself.  Because I was so thorough with my first guide of this level,
I will post it.  I'll edit it a little bit to fit the situation and save myself
a lot of time.

Press the right switch and go to
the left booster to go up the rail.  Grind to the end and you'll land near a
checkpoint.  Destroy the capsule ahead for eight.  Also, the Special Stage Key
is in the vicinity.  Now drop down into the gap and destroy the capsule you land
by.  Now press the switch under the wooden crate opposite where the capsule was
and bounce to the upper level.  Switch to Charmy and fly out to the platform
with the tenth capsule on it.

Then press the switch in front of the door and go inside the cannon.  Destroy
the two obvious capsule in here and then destroy the two behind the metal crate
to have nineteen.  Now jump into, as Espio said, "the internal mechanism of the
cannon".  Maneuver around, getting balloons and landing on the rail.  Make sure
when you land to be either left or right (While airborne).  Grind on and you'll
find yourself by a fan.  Use Bubble Gum Descent here and rise up.  Hit the
capsule on the next tier of this section you rise to for twenty.

Destroy the three capsules here and
use Ninja Leaf Swirl by the pole.  Switch to Charmy on the fourth train and fly
over the spikes.  Then use Espio's wall technique with good timing to get across
the gap.  At the end use Vector to attack the engine's core.  When you land
you'll be in a cart.  Lose Espio and you go slowly, and if you lose Charmy you
can't jump.  Losing Vector results in death.  This is actually called a bobsled,
by the way.  Jump over lasers, and spike balls, and if you're lucky you'll hit
all three of the pods here getting thirty.

After you've finished bobsledding you should've gotten thirty-six.  When you're
done grinding you'll hit the checkpoint.  Go back to the rails and hit the
spring beneath it.  This time you'll be brought to an area with four capsules.
You should have forty now.  If you missed any at the carts go to the flower and
activate it to redo that part.  Either way return to the checkpoint with forty.

Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and go through the lasers, then press the switch.  Now use
Charmy to fly up to the platform with the robot on it.  Press the switch and
drop down to destroy two capsules.  Then destroy the capsule indoors.  Bounce up
and use Hammer Down on the grated metal floor.  Head forward and destroy the
capsule.  You should have forty-four.  Activate the warp flower and enter.  Use
Espio's wall technique to cross the narrow area and repeat.  There are two
capsules to destroy here.  Press both switches and use Ninja Leaf Swirl to get
to the next train.  Fly over and destroy the capsule for forty-seven and fly
back.  Fly to the next capsule, destroy it, and jump to the next train where
there are two more capsules to destroy.  Mission complete!

Once again you need to rescue double the number of items as in regular.  This
isn't too hard, though.  I'll list them.

1) Head forward and defeat the armored robot for your first Chao, in the cage.

2) Bounce up to the black frog.  Follow the path and use Charmy to fly to the
second platform.  There's a lost Chao here.

3) Fly back; there's a lost Chao behind # 2.

4) Jump to the vine swing and jump to the Special Stage Key.  Use the vine swing
to get to the green frog and make it rain.  Home attack the bouncy fruits to get
to the next platform and repeat for the next.  Destroy the wooden crates for a
lost Chao.

5) Destroy the metal flyer and bounce to the vine swing, and then to the
checkpoint you go.  Vine swing across the gap and defeat the armored robot.  The
cage lowers, revealing a Chao.

6) Go over to the big leaf (Right).  There is a Chao.

7) Go down through some loops and spring to an island.  When you land go to one
of the black mushrooms.  On it is a Chao.

8) Hit the checker thing and bounce up to a black frog area.  Jump ahead and get
the Chao on the black platform.

9) Continue to the flower.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and you'll fall down to a hedge
maze.  Fly up for a Chao.

10) Fly backward to a platform with a Chao on it.

11) Get the Special Stage Key and use the platforms that grew to get to the side
ledge.  There's a caged Chao.  Defeat the flyer and get it.

11.5) See # 20.  Sorry about this, but I only found nineteen at first and had to
replay the level.  Do 11.5 before 12.

12) Hit the checkpoint and dash around the mushroom.  Use Team Blast on the
enemies and get the caged Chao.

13) Activate the warp flower and enter.  Descend down the flasher to the left
and follow the platforms.  Fly to the highest one with Charmy to get a Chao.

14) Take the platforms down to the hall and bypass the armored robot and caged
Chao.  Go around, get the Special Stage Key, and the Chao.

15) Return to the armored robot and defeat it.  The cage lowers, revealing a
Chao.

16) Use Ninja Leaf Swirl and head through the laser door.  Use Ninja Leaf Swirl
on the flower inside and take it to a ledge.  Defeat the flyers and make the
frog make it rain.  Head left and use the platform to fly up.  In the air is a
Chao.

17) Go right and bounce on the fruit to get a Chao in the air.

18) Go back to where the frog was and bounce to a vine swing.  Defeat the
badniks and lower the cage.  Get the Chao.

19) Wandering around is a Chao right in the vicinity.  Mission complete.

20) See 11.5.  After the checkpoint, jump on top of the mushroom.  There are two

Blow out all the blue torches!

You expected you'd have to blow out double the red, huh?  No, they are not that
cruel, but they are cruel enough to make you blow out 46 blue torches.  Each
paragraph will have ten torches in it.  By the way, since the level is the same
I re-posted my original Mystic Mansion guide and edited it for blue torches.
Enjoy.

Use Ninja Leaf Swirl on the blue torch in here.  Defeat the enemy and the door
opens.  Enter the hallway and press the switch to open the door.  Pass through
and go behind the door to a platform.  Use Charmy to Thunder Shoot the target
above the door and go in front of it now.  Press the glowing orb and defeat the
enemy to open the door.  There are three more by the large weight, giving you
four blue torches unlit as of now.  Get the Special Stage Key and fly to the
checkpoint.  Press the switch in front of the door to open it.  Defeat the
enemies and press the glowing orb.  Use Team Blast on the paintings, which
materialized, and pass into the new room.  In this room use Ninja Leaf Swirl on
the torch to bring the total up to five.  Activate the warp flower with Charmy
and enter.  Pass through the checkpoint and blow out the two torches on the roof.
Now you have seven.  The Special Stage Key is under a crate here.  Destroy the
robot sorcerer and the door opens.  Go through and extinguish the flames for
nine.  Press any one of the switches and do it again for eleven.

With the right switch fly up the platforms to a warp flower.  Press the switch
and extinguish the flames, then fly to the right switch and fly to the warp
flower.  Activate it and you'll be in a hallway.  You should have thirteen.
There are four blue torches here in the air.  When the extinguishing is done in
the hallway you should have exactly seventeen.  To leave the hallway simply fly
up with Charmy and hit the target in the room.  One of the doors open revealing
a glowing orb.  Press it and you'll be in a new hallway with the checkpoint.
Extinguish the blue flames in the air for eighteen.  Now use Espio's wall
technique to cross the gap.  Extinguish the flame over the edge.  Now fall into
the pit where the door is and you'll be by a giant fan.  Get to the edge and
have Vector break the part of the wall that is cracked.  Press the switch inside
and use Bubble Gum Descent to reach the hallway.  Fall into the pit.  You'll
bounce up to a locked door.  Have Charmy fly to the switch above the door to
open it.  Trigger the glowing orb inside and the statues come to life.  Defeat
them and exit via the door.  Press the switch to open the door.  In this room
jump for the ring and a blue flame appears (To extinguish).

Team Blast the enemy and when the armored foe is dead go in the next room and
extinguish the four torches in order to have twenty-four torches extinguished.
Activate the warp flower and go in.  There are two torches to be extinguished in
this room behind cracks.  Breaking each section of the wall reveals the Special
Stage Key and a path.  Take the path, blow out the two torches here, and ride
the weight up.  Press the three switches by the door to open it.  Now, for the
next two use Charmy to grind on the spider web and jump from rail to rail to get
to the blue torches.

After extinguishing them all you should have thirty-three torches unlit.  Go
over to the red torches to the right and press the switch.  Now proceed to the
next room.  In the next room use Espio's Ninja Leaf Swirl and jump up through
the lasers to the glowing orb.  You'll fall to a room with several enemies to
destroy.  Do so and extinguish the torches as well for thirty-six.  Put out all
four of the red torches to put out the blue ones.  Now activate the warp flower.
Enter and use Team Blast on your assailant.  Once you've extinguished all the
blue flames in this room you'll have them all.  Mission complete.

Find 10 cell keys!

I am happy because this is the last challenge.  Basically, you do what we did
last time but find five more.  Here we go.

3) Bounce to the rail and grind to the platform with the caged cannon on it.
Defeat the guards and enter with Vector.  Aim at the metal crates and destroy
them.  Press the switch and use Bubble Gum Descent at the fan to reach a
platform with a key on it.

4) Drop to the rail and grind to a collapsing platform shaped like a T.  Jump to
the platform branded with Eggman's face and get to the top.  Under the cannon
here is a spring.  Take it up and use Team Blast on the badnik.  Then Hammer
Down through the metal crates and get the Special Stage Key behind you.  Head
forward, switch to Espio, use Ninja Leaf Swirl, and walk through the lasers to
the boosters.  When you land switch to Vector and beat up the sorry robots.
Bounce up with the spring and fly over the lasers.  Defeat the E2000 (Gold
shield robot) and the door lowers.  Here's the key.

5) Fly over the lasers and through the checkpoint.  Then jump onto the switch.
Grind and avoid the lasers.  At the end you'll have to fight another E2000.
Defeat it for the key.

6) Fly to the next platform and use Espio's wall technique to cross the gap
while avoiding cannon fire.  Now destroy the cannon and bounce up.  Repeat and
you'll fight a robot sentry.  Destroy it and fall into the pit.  Press the
switch and use Ninja Leaf Swirl on the pole.  Now break the block and spring up
to the rail.  Grind to the cannon platform and use Team Blast on the cannons and
armored robot.  Now let Vector hit the checker thing and you'll be launched to a
booster.  Boost through the three rings and grind to the lowest platform.  To
get the key defeat all of the enemies.

7) Use Ninja Leaf Swirl by the pole that lowers and defeat the armored robot you
find.  Hit the checker thing and defeat the next enemy on this platform.
Thunder Shoot the target and use the pole to get to the next platform.  Team
Blast these robots and take the key.

8) Pass through the checkpoint and use the warp flower to take you to a new
region.  Break the block in front of you and you'll fall to a key.

9) Bounce up and punch the checker thing.  From where you are fly to the cannon
platform and fly down to the narrow hallway.  Use Espio's wall technique to
cross this gap (While avoiding the spikes) and kill the robot.  Get the key and
activate the warp flower by the X sign.

10) Enter it and warp.  Destroy the E2000 and get back on the warp flower.  Re-
warp so you're where the E2000 was and home attack the wall.  You may not be
able to pass over the lasers, but try to use Espio's wall technique to do so.
Bounce to the rail and bounce to the rail.  Notice you're going to end up by the
last key.  To get it fly to the right and defeat the armored enemy.  Repeat
twice and go back to the main platform.  The cage is down.  Get the key and
congratulations; mission complete.

=============================Tutorial Walkthrough*==============================
================================================================================

Let it be known, to one and all, that this is a complete walkthrough in every
way!  I even wrote this useless section.  How many people could possibly need
help on the Tutorial with the guide helping you out?  You have to be pretty
dense, but don't worry; I'm not here to judge.  Now, I will write the guide.

                              +----------------+
                              |    Sea Gate    |
                              +----------------+

Practice Team Action!

If you select to play in Tutorial Mode you'll start as Team Sonic, but if you
are beginning a file with Team Rose, you'll be brought here.  The guide is
Omochao, from SA2.  Follow him and he'll tell you all you need to know.

Head forward and Omochao will start talking about formations.  Move forward
again and the subject becomes Formation Signals.  Move forward again and he
changes the topic to Formation Gates.  Go through the Speed Gate and run down
the hill to a spring.  You'll bounce up to an empty field with a spring.  Home
attack the spring and you'll rise to some rings, which Omochao courteously
describes to you.  Get them and bounce up.  You'll see your first enemies.  Home
attack the item boxes and then the flying enemies.  Now home attack the spring.
Jump near the spring and home attack it to enter a tunnel.  Use Rocket Accel and
you'll fall into a pond.  Get the power cores and bounce up on the spring.  Home
attack the enemies and then the spring.

Now the Formation Signals read Fly.  Head forward and switch to Tails or Cream.
Fly up the cliffs and you'll see a lone enemy guarding a spring.  Thunder Shoot
it and bounce.  Thunder Shoot these enemies too and fly onto the pillar.  Fly up
again and the Power section begins.

Switch to Knuckles or Big and break the blocks.  Keep doing so until you reach a
few sleeping enemies.  Destroy them and bounce up.  Destroy these robots and
bounce.  Bounce again and get the Team Blast Ring.  Then use Team Blast on the
enemies.  Bounce up to the Goal Ring.

=================================Ranking Guide*=================================
================================================================================

There is a reason there are ranks.  They're used to unlock Super Hard Mode.  You
can get an E (Blue), D (Purple), C (Yellow), B (Red-Orange), or an A (Red).  Of
course, A is the best.  Every level has different point requirements for you to
get an A.  Every boss has a time limit.  A ranks don't matter too much if you
just want to beat the game, but some people are only satisfied when they've
unlocked everything.  Here are the points you need for each level to get an A
rank.

Here's how it works.  After the setup below, the list begins.  Note that points
are a minimum, but times are a maximum.

==========================Super Hard Mode Walkthrough*==========================
================================================================================

This is for really advanced players.  To unlock Super Hard Mode you must have an
A on every mission and every emblem.

Super Hard Mode is like regular mode with a few exceptions.  It has no bosses.
It has no emblems.  It has no Special Stages.  It has no rankings.  It has no
Continues.  It is pure game play for experts.  You play the whole thing as Team
Sonic.  Also, if you get a game over you start back at Seaside Hill.  It's just
like playing the first and second Sonic the Hedgehog games (Which I've written
walkthroughs for).  So really, there is no reward for beating this, just
satisfaction and bragging rights.  Beating this means you've truly beaten the
game.  There is nothing to do after this.  However, to test your skill (And
quite frankly, because there's no point to this mode) I'm not going to write
detailed guides for these levels.

When it comes down to it, experts are experts, and they probably won't be using
my guide (If they're experts).  So, I'll just give a few tips here and let you
play.  Once again, there's no point to playing this, so a guide would be a waste.

Pretty much, you better be good at Light Dash.  There are a few tricky parts
involving this, but they can be found when playing as Team Dark (You home attack
enemies that leads to a trail of rings).  Also, there are generally more enemies
and obstacles.  They aren't necessarily difficult, but there are so many it can
be.  Also, in Casino Park and Bingo Highway, get lots of rings (Every 100 rings
you get results in a 1-UP) or you may start back at Seaside Hill.

The Reward: I said there was no reward but man did I lie!  The reward is this:
after beating Final Fortress a screen comes up that says "Thank you for
playing!" and it shows Team Sonic.  Was that worth it or was that worth it?

==================================Enemy Index*==================================
================================================================================

For this July 11, 2005 update, I decided to add this enemy section with names
and strategies and the like (mostly names).  Looking for the enemy names, I
found them listed at a great web site:

http://ghz.emulationzone.org

This Sonic fan site has the names of Eggman's robotic army units, and so I can
make this section.  Here's how things work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name

Notes:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Above is the setup.  Pretty self-explanatory, huh?  As it turns out, many units
are named after chess pieces.  Anyways, here's the list, listed by series and
then by rank (in terms of difficulty).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Egg Pawn

Notes: These are the most basic infantry units of Eggman's army.  They have no
attacks, but touching them will hurt you.  Almost any form of attack will defeat
them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gun Pawn

Notes: These are Egg Pawns decked out with machine guns.  They're still just as
vulnerable and easy to beat, though.  Make sure you attack while they aren't
firing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cannon Pawn

Notes: These are Egg Pawns equipped with laser blasters.  Their lasers move
pretty slowly, though, and beating them is just the same as Egg Pawns.  Just
make sure you aren't hit by a blast when trying to hit them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spear Pawn

Notes: These are Egg Pawns with long spears.  They charge forward, spear
extended, for a certain distance to attack.  Beating them is still simple,
though.  Attack them with almost anything.  When they have a raised spear, do
not use airborne attacks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shield Pawn

Notes: These are Egg Pawns equipped with shields only.  Their shields give them
extra stamina and defense, and the weaker types of Shield Pawn can be taken out
with repeated attacks.  But, you can use the speed character's wind attack to
rob them of their shields, turning them into normal Egg Pawns.  Do not touch
them (as in walking into them).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Solid Pawn

Notes: These are a mix of the Gun/Cannon Pawn and Shield Pawn; they have both a
shield and a machine gun/blaster.  However, the power formation character can
defeat them in one attack, and the shield can be removed as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Egg Knight

Notes: The captains of a squadron of pawn-type enemies, these are Egg Pawns with
shield and spear.  If you defeat them, their accompanying units will also be
destroyed.  If you use a wind attack to remove their shields, they become Spear
Pawns.  Otherwise, attack with the power character.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flapper

Notes: These are similar to Egg Pawns, but are airborne.  Sometimes, they move
around a small, designated area.  Since they are offense and defenseless, a
simple home attack will do (plus almost anything else).  They can be used to
reach new heights by home attacking them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gun Flapper

Notes: These Flappers have miniature machine guns on them with small range.
They are really not much harder them Flappers, but don't try to attack them when
they're about to fire.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cannon Flapper

Notes: Quite tough in large groups, these are Flappers that fire lasers with
considerable precision.  But, the lasers are slow and easy to avoid.  They too
are weak to most forms of offense.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bomb Flapper

Notes: These Flappers wander about and drop bombs that detonate shortly after
being dropped.  They're pretty easy to avoid, though, and Bomb Flappers are
equally vulnerable to attack as other Flappers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Laser Flapper

Notes: Similar to Cannon Flappers, except these have designated spots to target.
They wander around, shooting lasers in predetermined places.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Needle Flapper

Notes: These Flappers are stationary and are usually positioned over gaps,
requiring you to home attack them to get by.  But, spikes pop out of their
frames occasionally, which makes them dangerous if you time your attack
incorrectly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Search Flapper

Notes: Flappers with searchlights, they are not any better than Flappers by
themselves.  But, they can attack indirectly by summoning pawn-series units to
attack you.  Fortunately, this is triggered only when you pass under their
searchlights.  Avoid them to avoid battle.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Solid Flapper

Notes: These are armored Flappers that only a power character can destroy (or
Team Blasts, of course).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Falco

Notes: These are flying robots modeled after falcons.  They fly in circular
patterns, firing lasers at you all the way.  Defeating them is just as simple as
defeating Flappers, though they are faster and thus harder to hit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Klagen

Notes: These are jellyfish robots that hover about a given area looking for life.
If they find you, they will move forward and try to abduct one of your team
members.  The character will be unusable until you defeat the robot (most forms
of attack work).  If three Klagens abduct all members of the team, you lose a
life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gold Klagen

Notes: These are gold jellyfish robots very similar to Klagens.  The only
difference is that this type will flee once they've captured a character.  If
you don't defeat it before it leaves the area, your character will be gone until
you beat the level or use Team Blast next, whichever comes first.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rhino Liner

Notes: These are small, robotic badniks that run along rails.  Although many
attacks work, it is often difficult to hit them as you are grinding rails, and
should just be jumped over (or dodged by switching rails) when possible.  These
are not the impassable red bull-looking trains (those are obstacles, not
enemies).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cameron

Notes: These are turtle robots with laser cannons mounted on their shells.  They
fire arcing blasts, but can be defeated with persistent attacks or power
characters' moves.  For a quicker kill, flip them over with a wind attack (speed
formation) and then attack their underbellies.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gold Cameron

Notes: Simply a golden version of Camerons that are invulnerable to all attacks.
To defeat them, you must flip them over with a wind attack (speed) and then
attack their underbellies.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Egg Bishop

Notes: These are irksome enemies that can float in place and heal other units
(and themselves).  Coupled with other enemies like Egg Hammers, they can be very
dangerous.  Either beat them in one blow with a power attack or use a wind
attack to turn them into an Egg Magician.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Egg Magician

Notes: These sorcerer robots cast spells that affect certain segments of the
ground (the one you're on, of course).  If caught in the spell, you're ring
count will rapidly decrease.  Defeat them quickly (they're vulnerable to most
attacks).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Egg Hammer

Notes: Large, brutish robots with tremendous hammers in hand, they walk around
in search of your characters.  Upon locating them, they swing their hammer
around in a full circle, which causes them to lose balance.  If you attack them
then, they fall over, leaving them vulnerable to attack.  Attack their heads
when they are down, by the way.  You can also attack their heads when they are
upright, but it's far more dangerous.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heavy Egg Hammer

Notes: An armored version of the Egg Hammer, these are definitely the toughest
enemies in the game.  You must expose their weak point - a flashing spot on
their head - by knocking off their helmets.  To do that, you must knock them
down like any regular Egg Hammer, lure them toward you, let them swing their
hammer, and knock them down while they are dizzy and unbalanced.  Then they are
like normal Egg Hammers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E2000

Notes: The newest models and makes of the E-series of Eggman's army (E-123 Omega
is one of the originals; these are mass-produced), these are pretty cool robots
that fold up and fire a large laser blast in a circular manner at you.  They are
weak when firing the laser and can shield themselves otherwise.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E2000R

Notes: A faster, golden version of the E2000 series, these move more quickly,
shield themselves at the first sign of attack, and act like their counterparts
in almost every other respect.  Attack them as their lasers are being fired.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And those are the enemies in the game.  I have a suspicion that Klagen and
Cameron are Japanese words (probably for jellyfish and turtle, respectively.
After all, I know that "kame" is "turtle" in Japanese), but I cannot check this
out.  In any case, that's all you need to know about non-boss units.

==============================Two Player Section*===============================
================================================================================

Yes, there's more!  If you thought this walkthrough was long so far, you haven't
see anything yet!  There are seven games to play in multiplayer.  The more
emblems you get the more you unlock.  Here's the list.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Action Race    |
                            +-------------------+

Race on one of several courses to the end, all the while trying to beat your
opponent.  Use Team Blast, attack enemies, and set up traps to catch your
opponent off guard.

                               +--------------+
                               |    Battle    |
                               +--------------+

A battle to blow your opponent off the field.  Use Team Blast, get power cores,
and use special moves.

                           +---------------------+
                           |    Special Stage    |
                           +---------------------+

Get the Chaos Emerald before your opponent.  Push them into bombs, run in front
of them, and win at all costs.

                             +-----------------+
                             |    Ring Race    |
                             +-----------------+

It's a race to get the most rings.  Attack enemies so that they lose their rings
and beat them to item boxes.

                            +--------------------+
                            |    Bobsled Race    |
                            +--------------------+

Take a cart for a race to the finish line.  Dodge spikes and get balloons.

                             +------------------+
                             |    Quick Race    |
                             +------------------+

A high-speed race like Action Race.  Use all the cheap moves you can.

                            +-------------------+
                            |    Expert Race    |
                            +-------------------+

A race like Quick Race or Action Race with tough obstacles.

These are the mini-games.  Every twenty emblems you earn unlocks a new one.
Personally, I prefer Battle...

================================================================================
====================================Extras*=====================================
================================================================================

There are several unlockables in the Extra section.  You can unlock (In CG
Theater) the Opening, Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, Team Chaotix, and Last
cinemas by beating that story (Excluding Opening).

In Audio Room you can unlock all of the music by hearing it on the game.  Now
the Options section has Audio Settings, Game Data, Language Setting, Anti
Flicker, and Rumble Setting.

================================================================================
===============================Cheats and Codes*================================
================================================================================

As far as I know there is only one cheat (Without using a cheat system like Game
Shark).  If you know any send them in, please.

Sleek Metal Characters: This only works for two-player mode.  Hold the A and Y
Buttons after selecting a playing field and your characters will be metallic
versions of themselves.

That's the only one I know.  Submit if you know any.

================================================================================
=================================Special Stage*=================================
================================================================================

The only way to get the chaos emeralds (And a lot of extra lives) is to play the
Special Stage.  How, you ask?  Finish the stage with the Special Stage Key and
you'll play it.  The second level in every region (Like Ocean Palace in the
Seaside Hill series) has an Emerald Challenge.  Here are some common objects.

Power Sphere: The most common item in the Special Stage is the Power Sphere.  It
increases your speeding gauge a little.

Power Item: I don't know what to call these, but they give a major speed
increase.

Bomb: Bump into these and you'll not only slow down but you'll be blown back a
bit.  Avoid these.

Chao Balloon: When not playing an Emerald Challenge near the end the Chao
Balloon comes out.  Angel Chao will throw you Power Items, while Devil Chao will
throw bombs.

Booster: A Rainbow colored booster that increases your speed momentarily.
Booster Ball: Sometimes when you boost you'll bounce on these.  Just go with the
flow.

Chaos Emerald: The goal of the Special Stage is to get these.  When all seven
are brought together they generate tremendous power.  The only force in the
world that can negate them is the Master Emerald (Which Knuckles is the guardian
of).  When all seven are assembled Sonic and Shadow can become Super Sonic and
Super Shadow.

Those are all the items and objects, but what is the goal of Special Stage?  The
goal, put quite simply, is to get the Chaos Emerald.  It floats around the
tunnel and you must catch it.  You'll be moving constantly whether you are
pressing forward or not, but pressing forward helps.  To help you reach the
emerald collect Power Spheres and Items to build up your speed gauge.  Press B
to give a boost of speed and avoid bombs.  Hope that helps.  But when it comes
down to it, only your skill can unlock the Last Story.

==============================Question and Answer*==============================
================================================================================

Here I answer questions, and I hold no punches, either.  Let it begin.

Question: I'm stuck in (Level name).  How do I beat it?
Answer: Usually you just misread the guide.  Sometimes a glitch causes a problem
(One time when I played as Team Dark I fell through the floor).  Sometimes,
though, I may've made a mistake.  E-mail me and ask your question and I'll look
into it.

Question: Is there a Chao Garden in this game?
Answer: No.  Although we all enjoyed it in past games, the GBA cannot hook up to
the PS2 or XBOX, and so a Chao Garden would be impossible to make for those
versions of the game.  There are Chao in the game, though.

Question: You made an error in section such-and-such.
Answer: Not really a question, but I'll run with it.  Tell me what the problem
is and I'll look into it.  If I was wrong, I'll change it in an update and add
you to the credits.

Question: Can I use your walkthrough on my site?
Answer: No.  Read my legal section for specific details.

Question: What other guides have you written?
Answer: This is my fifth guide, but the list has greatly expanded since I wrote
this.  Check out this link to see all my work:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/46879.html

Question: How can I contact you?
Answer: First, I'd like to set out a few guidelines.  All contact occurs through
e-mails (not IMs or anything else), which must relate to the guide (no chain
letters, socializing, etc.).  Please put "Ocarina of Time" or the name of the
guide in the subject.  Make sure to examine the entire guide before e-mailing me.
In my prime, I answered e-mails pretty regularly, but now it's on a very
irregularly basis with lots of gaps, so it's in your best interest to read the
guide instead of waiting for me to answer your questions.  I don't open
attachments.  Finally, be specific in your question.  Thanks in advance.  You
can e-mail me at:

=========================Credits and Legal Information*=========================
================================================================================

                              +---------------+
                              |    Credits    |
                              +---------------+

First, the credits.  I know all of you pressed CTRL + F and went here right away
because this is everyone's favorite part.  Okay.  I'd like to thank myself.  I
did the writing, the playing, and modesty isn't exactly my strong suit.  I'd
also like to thank the Sonic Team for making it, and the rulebook for providing
ample information for Section 1.

Recently more people have helped me.  Here are some people who've helped with
the guide and here are their contributions.

- GameFaqs.com for posting my guide.

- Green Hill Zone, a web site devoted to Sonic and all his games.  From them, I
learned the names of Eggman's enemies and the names of the Team Blast attacks.
You can reach their wonderful web site with the below address:

http://ghz.emulationzone.org/

- lite_speed32, who told me that Espio can remain on walls during a triangle
jump.  He also pointed out that you have to hold forward to move during such
jumps, which I had previously left unsaid.  He also told me that, when flying,
there's a limit to how high you can ascend (otherwise, the game would be very
easy).

- 04edfl, who corrected me on the plural form of Chao (I originally said
"Chaos," which could be confused with the "chaos," as in the emeralds, quite
easily).

- PV, who told me that instead of Fire Dunking/Home Attacking/Hammering Down
against the Egg Emperor's body, you might just as easily continue to Thunder
Shoot.

That's it for now.  I'm open to friendly donations, though, so send in if you
have useful information.  Now the legal information.
