                               1. Introduction
===========================================================================

The final 'creators message' is probably the final item that people will
unlock in Resident Evil and is certainly one of the most special.  It's not
often anyone from the design team leaves a simple note of thanks but Capcom
did and it is much appreciated.

This FAQ covers how you can unlock the message and also what it says on the
message.  When you unlock the message you can also view costume designs.
Some of these were not used in the final game so they are quite interesting
to look at.

===========================================================================
                         2. How to Earn the Message
===========================================================================

To unlock the message you must first clock the invisible mode with any
character on any difficulty in a time no great than 5 hours.  I suggest
using Jill on easy for the best chance of achieving this time.  There are
plenty of FAQ's on GameFAQ's that relate to both clocking the game quickly
and clocking the invisible mode so please look them up if you need help.

To unlock the invisible mode you must either beat real survivor mode or
beat the normal difficulty with both characters.  Again there are plenty of
FAQ's about to help you achieve this if you have problems.

When you do beat invisibility mode in less than 5 hours you will get a
congratulations screen that have a comic photo of Jill and Chris.  They are
both smiling and Chris is wearing Jill's S.T.A.R.S cap.  The picture is
dated 24/7/98 and has a big kiss mark on it in red lipstick.  After that
screen you go to a menu where you can choose to read the message or view a
selection of costume sketches and renders.

                               3. The Message
===========================================================================

Thank you for taking the time to play all the way through "biohazard"
(Resident Evil). If you're reading this letter I salute you!  You are truly
a remarkable player! I imagine you must have had some pretty memorable
experiences along the way.

The pain of seeing the "Game Over" screen time after time... The sweet
taste of Victory after you finally beat the game... The feelings of
camaraderie you shared with your character... The excitement and
overwhelming sense of dread.

We believe that games are more than just the product of a team of
developers.  It takes the support of dedicated players like you to make a
game worthwhile. For this reason, we are truly delighted when someone
enjoys one of our games as thoroughly as you have.

Therefore on behalf of the entire staff please allow me to express our
gratitude and congratulate you on a job well done! Thank you very much for
playing!

===========================================================================

These are fairly basic descriptions of the costumes represented in the
pictures.  I'm no fashion guru so my language is simplistic.  Unlock them
for yourselves to get a better idea.

                        5. Frequently Asked Questions
===========================================================================

I unlocked the message and after I read it I saved my file but I can't
access the message or costume designs from the menu, where are they?

From my understanding you cannot view the message or costume designs other
than directly after you finish the invisibility mode in less than 5 hours.
I suggest you have two saves, one just before you finish the game by the
lift and another with your normal game save so you can keep playing the
other modes.

Does finishing invisibility mode in less than 5 hours unlock anything else?

Unfortunately, no.

Is it hard to get a time of less than 5 hours?

Not really.  If you've got the skill to unlock the invisibility mode then
you have got the skill to beat it in less than 5 hours.  I suggest using
Jill on easy and go for the worst ending as it is the most efficient way of
scoring a low time.
