1p.INTRODUCTION!

This is my very first Faq and I hope it is both useful and helpful
to the masses of Pikmin 2 Players. Pikmin 2 is a very fun and amazing
game to which many corners of it remain hidden. This Faq is meant for
those trying to complete the Piklopedia, a new addition that allows
the gamer to see what enemies they have conquered and learn about them.
There is also a section on what monsters appear where. Have fun!

4p.PIKLOPEDIA EXPLANATION
################################
The Piklopedia is a list of Monsters that you have defeated or Plants you have
seen. It also lists how many Pokos you get for a certain monster, how many
Pikmin you lost to it, and how many of them you have defeated. Also as an
added bonus, you can feed Pikpik carrots to the Monsters and watch them eat!
=D Kind of like your own Pikmin Zoo. There are notes that Olimar has written
down about the family a certain enemy comes from and its "scientific" name.
The Piklopedia updates after you either defeat an enemy and bring it to the
ship, defeat an enemy that CANNOT be picked up, walk through a plant,
or when you use certain plants. I hope you enjoy and use my Piklopedia faq to
its full potential!

Red Bulborb

The Red Bulborb looks like a giant red ball with white spots
o its back and a huge yellow snout. Is eyes are at the end of
two antennae and the whole thing is supported by two scrawny
legs.

This large organism has the familiar mandibles and cranial morphology of the
grub-dog family, as well as the characteristic bulging eyes. As with most
grub-dogs, the creature's cranium comprises half of its total length and
girth. Showing a scarlet abdomen with white spots, this creature is primarily
nocturnal, choosing to prey upon smaller creatures returning to their nests.
Originally classified as the spotty bulborb, further research has reclassified
this species as the red bulborb. Subspecies of varied colors have recently
been discovered, but academics are divided into two rival camps over how to
handle their classification.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Like all Bulborbs, the easiest way to get at them is by
sneaking up behind them. Just bring 10-15 Pikmin and you should just toss them
on relentlessly. An easy win.

Hairy Bulborb

The Hairy Bulborb is the same shape and size of the Red Bulborb except the
skin is white and the nose and feet are brown. It also has a very hairy back.
Until it gets past half health, then the hair falls of. Hey, stress does that
to you!

This subspecies of grub-dog has a thick coat of soft white fur that obscures
its abdominal markings. The fur also warms its vital organs, making this
species well adapted to colder climates. However, its hair follicles are
surprisingly frail, which can result in immediate hair loss if the creature
is surprised.

This guy is no different from the Red Bulborb. Except
his hairy back. Just the same it may help to bring 1 or 2 Purple Pikmin to
stun it.

Orange Bulborb

Again, same as the Red Bulborb except the skin is orange and the spots,
feet, and nose are black. Its eyes are also yellow. And he will wake
up even before you touch him.

This bulborb species boasts a garish color pattern, with deep orange body and
black spots. The orange bulborb's yellow, bloodshot eyes make it clear that
this grub-dog is excessively edgy and high-strung, making it much easier to
wake from deep sleep than other species in the bulborb family.

One major difference in this Bulborb. YOU CAN'T SNEAK
UP ON IT!!!!! So don't try the whole "walk slowly up to the enemy while he is
sleeping to get the first attack" thing. Just grab a Purple Pikmin and then
run and toss it on top of him. While it is stunned just keep the Pikmin flow
steady.

Dwarf Red Bulborb

Imagine a Red Bulborb. Now make it shrink to about a tenth of its size. THAT
is a Dwarf Red Bulborb.

Breadbug family
Although initially identified as a juvenile red bulborb, groundbreaking new
research indicates that this creature is in fact a member of the breadbug
family. A close relative of the vanilla breadbug, it escapes predation through
mimicry. Unique adaptation of the red bulborb's crimson coloration allows the
species to safely commingle. Such effective adaptation and obfuscation by a
prey species is rare, indicating this clever creature is a master of mimicry.

Not even worth a strategy, but meh. When they are alone just swarm them
with your Pikmin. When they are in groups of 3 or more then try luring one out
at a time. Also you can kill it instantly if you toss a Pikmin perfectly on
top of it.

Snow Bulborb

The miniature version of the Hairy Bulborb.......without the hairy. You can
see the blue spots on its back now due to the lack of hair.

Like the dwarf red bulborb, the snow bulborb is a member of the breadbug
family that seeks to survive through imitating the appearance and behavior of
a bulborb. Its pale coloration and blue spots make easy identification. In
particular, this organism mimics the hairy bulborb, but it is of course unable
to grow the hair that gives the hairy bulborb its name. However, as the hairy
bulborb has been known to lose its hair in certain circumstances, the snow
bulborb is an effective mimic that is often mistaken for a member of the same
species.

Swarm them with Pikmin armies. Even if they get one of your Pikmin they
will spit them out if you kill them soon after. They also are susceptible to
the one-hit k.o. thing.

Dwarf Orange Bulborb

Orange Bulborb......the miniature series! Yep, another Bulborb wannabe.
Nothing new.

Just as dwarf red bulborbs mimic the appearance of red bulborbs, it was
theorized that an orange bulborb-mimicking variant must also exist. Recent
fieldwork has confirmed this theory.

Like their bigger versions, they also are able to sense you when you are
further than normal. But not by much. So just swarm them to death!

Spotty Bulbear

The Spotty Bulbear is a giant ball with big lips. The back half of it is
black with red spots. and a tan frontal nose. IT can walk over any terrain
with its slightly thicker legs. Its eyes are also purple.

A midsize subspecies within the grub-dog family, the spotty bulbear's unique
feeding habits set it apart from other grub-dogs. The spotty bulbear patrols
a set path searching for prey, instead of passively feeding on creatures that
wander into a limited territorial range. When entering bulbear habitat, it
is wise to proceed with extreme caution until the bulbear's patrol path can
be clearly identified.

These guys can surprise you at any moment since they can walk over most
terrain! You can't sneak up on them so try the ol' bait and switch trick.
Just walk in front of it and when it is about to attack, just step out of the
way and run behind it and throw on your Pikmin.

Dwarf Bulbear

They look exactly like the Spotty Bulbear except smaller. Even their lips
are big like its parents!

A grub-dog larva in its third stage of development, this creature's body
structure is nearing maturation. However, unlike mature bulbears, it has not
yet to claim its own patrol route, and thus is dependant upon its parent for
guarding direction.

These guys are usually around an adult Spotty Bulbear, so be careful! But
anyways, they are just like the other Dwarfs. Just swarm them until they cry!

Bulborb Larva

To me the grossest monster on the list. It is a slug with a bulborb face that
crawls around on the ground. They are spit out of the Empress Bulbax's butt.
Which is disgusting to see and hear.....

Grub-dog family
As its name implies, this creature is a bulborb in an early stage of
development. Its distinct bulborb coloration has yet to appear, but it
already exhibits other uniquely bulborb characteristics. It is capable of
hunting nourishment independently without the help of its parents.

These guys are so weak that the Captains can kill them in one hit.
But if you feel like using perfectly good Pikmin on them then just bring
3 or 4. But watch out, if you let them be they multiply like crazy! @_@

Fiery Bulbax

This looks like a Bulborb with a jagged looking jaw and forked toes. One of
its eyes are smaller than the other. Oh yeah...and did I mention its back
is on fire?

Grub-dog family
Bodily excretions of a highly flammable waxy substance interact with the cell
structure of this grub-dog's skin, causing a chemical reaction that produces
extremely high temperatures. The skin benefits from a spongy cell structure
that diffuses the surface heat, protecting the creature's inner organs. Due to
the astonishing amount of heat produced by this beast, it should be observed
with great caution.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Unless they are near a water source these guys can only be taken down with
Red Pikmin. They sleep too so sneak up on it and toss them Reddish on him. Any
other types of Pikmin will fall of in flames. If they ARE near a water source
then you can lure them into it and use blue Pikmin. But I suggest just
sticking with the Red guys. Its health regenerates even after it dies so take
it back to your ship quickly.

Water Dumple

It looks like a blue oval with dark blue lines randomly spread throughout.
And it has a long flat tailfin. And the eyes are unseen.

Ichthyosa felinis
Grub-dog family
A resident of freshwater pools and marshes, this aquatic creature regularly
feeds on insects that land on the surface of the water. It shares a nearly
identical skeletal structure with its close relative and terrestrial cousin,
the bulborb. This may offer clues to its evolutionary origin and suggests that
it only recently immigrated to an aquatic habitat.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Since these guys are water creatures, you can only use Blue Pikmin most of
the time. They attack big and are usually in groups of 2-3. Just swarm them
with an army of Blue Pikmin and you should be fine.

Bulbmin

Bulbmin are actually parasitic versions of the Pikmin. But the monster it
infests is what looks like a Dwarf Red Bulborb. IT looks just like one except
for the lone leaf coming from its back. It is followed around by tiny versions
of itself that are the size of Pikmin and can be commanded once the parent is
killed.

This loathsome creature is in fact a parasitic form of Pikmin that has
infected a bulborb. Unlike Pikmin that nest in Pikmin Onions, this parasitic
relative spends its life inside the body of a host, usually a bulborb.
Juveniles fall in line and mimic the actions of their parent until maturing
to full independence. By burying its root like limbs into the nervous system
of the host bulborb and infusing it with natural hormonal excretions, the
bulbmin is able to control virtually all of the host's bodily functions.
However, the host's voracious appetite seems impossible to suppress.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
The mother is easily picked of with 10 Pikmin of any type. The babies,
however, will follow you and act like Pikmin. They have every advantage of
the White, Blue, Red, and Yellow Pikmin!!!!! =D

Fiery Blowhog

It is basically a blob of white fat with a long snout at the end. The lips of
this creature are red because it breathes fire. Very small legs.

This creature expels a volatile phosphorous compound from its snout that
combusts upon contact with air. This fire-breathing ability is dependent upon
the air-to-fuel ratio at its mouth, catalyst reaction within the expelled
compound, and purification of the compound. Thus it is highly unlikely such a
complex process could cause the spontaneous explosion of a fallen blowhog.
(This process is also perhaps to avoid risk of spontaneous combustion in the
belly of a live specimen.) However, one should still threat a fiery blowhog
with great care, even after its life functions have ceased.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Red Pikmin only please. If you bring any amount of Red Pikmin it is a
guaranteed win against it. It can either blow fire, which red are invulnerable
to, or blow away your Pikmin, which doesn't kill them, so there you go.

Watery Blowhog

It looks just like the Fiery Blowhog except its lips are of the blue color
instead of the red. Also have very small legs.

A variant subspecies of the fiery blowhog, the watery blowhog lacks several of
the dominant genes necessary for the production of fire-producing catalysts,
and thus expels jets of nonflammable liquid. This subspecies appears to have
only recently evolved. However, the hereditary traits of his variant are
dominant and highly robust, so its population is rapidly increasing.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
The blue Pikmin totally own this enemy. They are immune to its water shot.
And they just get blown away from the only other attack.

Armored Cannon Beetle Larva

It is a giant caterpillar with a large snout that it uses to shoot out
boulders that roll straight ahead.

This specimen is a lithopod larva. This expedition was unable to confirm the
existence of any mature lithopods, leading to concerns that the species was
extinct on this planet, but the discovery of the creature in larval form
eased such concerns. Lithopods, like flint beetles, use internal metabacteria
to aid chemical digestion. These metabacteria can only survive in certain
environments, such as within the body of certain insects, so lithopod larvae
do not contain any metabacteria immediately after hatching. Larvae feed on
partially digested ore regurgitated by mature lithopods, ensuring the larvae
obtain metabacteria they would not normally have acquired.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Before fighting it, get it to shoot its rock attack at you and hit all the
other enemies around you. Then run behind it and throw on some Pikmin. He
usually throws them off before it dies so quickly whistle them to you before
it shoots a rock and squishes them. Then toss them on again until it is dead.

Decorated Cannon Beetle

The hide of this monster is the same shape as the Armor Cannon Beetle Larvae
except that it is red and has slight spikes on the humps. It also shoots out
boulders from its snout but instead they follow the prey it shoots at until it
is stopped by another solid object.......or another enemy.......

This creature is the larval form of a cannon beetle variant known for a diet
consisting entirely of eating stones. The decorated cannon beetle favors
stones with high iron content,which contributes to its brilliant red torso.
The stones these creatures launch are wrapped in a powerful magnetic field from
their launch trajectory when other objects with high metal content, such as
space suits, are nearby. Extreme caution is recommended for explorers wearing
steel-plated armor in close proximity to this fearsome creature.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Use the rocks as a weapon against other enemies in the immediate area. Then
toss some Pikmin on it. Watch out for its rocks because they follow your
current captain. Just make sure to move your Pikmin out of the way and keep it
up until it dies.

Puffy Blowhog

Looks like a Purple and Blue striped balloon with spikes on its back. Two
fish-like fins come of its sides. And a long snout, which it uses to
blow puffs of air at you. It also flies through the air. Not deadly, but
annoying to the armies of Pikmin you have. You will be taken down if you don't
have the special shoes

This species of blowhog uses internally generated hydrogen to inflate a
flotation bladder and hover above the ground. The creature's electrified pulse
creates a sash of color that flows along the surface of its body, making it a
particularly beautiful blowhog species. Precisely how it is able to internally
stabilize its highly explosive hydrogen and simultaneously generate
electricity remains a mystery. The puffy blowhog blows leaves and grass around
to eat the insects underneath. It maintains midair buoyancy by using its fins
and releasing air through blowholes. This enables it to float effortlessly,
even in the breeze. In times of danger, the puffy blowhog can decompress its
flotation bladder for a rapid escaped from predators.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
Grab some yellows for this guy. They are not necessary but are better to
get on it. It will try and blow them away so be quick when confronting it.
It is easy to kill once you get some Pikmin on. They will be thrown off but
you simply need to whistle them in and toss them up again. Simple.

Withering Blowhog

To me it looks like a flying Fiery/Watery Blowhog without feet. It is an
orange color and if you look closely it has a flame design on it. It has no
bodily marks accept the fins and long snout. Beware for it too will blow of
the flowers on your Pikmin and leave them as leaves blowing in the wind.

The withering blowhog is a close relative of the puffy blowhog, but its breath
is significantly weaker. However, its breath does contain a petal withering
plant hormone that causes flowers to instantly lose their petals. Although its
breath has not been studied in detail, analysis of the chemical compounds
involved hold great promise for the biotechnology sector.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
EXCATLY THE SAME AS THE PUFFY BLOWHOG!!!!! Except his air blasts will ruin
their flowers and revert them to leaves. So be careful if you want to keep
your perfect flower army.

Gatling Groink

It looks like a basketball with a glass mask and a fishtail. There is a pair of
chimney stacks that have smoke coming out of them. Also when he is attacking
a cannon comes out of the mask and fires a bomb that whistles loudly. Its
round body is held up by two scrawny legs.

This beastly predator's aggressive ejection of high-speed projectiles makes it
one of the most fearsome creatures in the ecosystem. Its body seems to
comprise of both biological and mechanical components, and represents one of
the most evolutionarily advanced specimens ever observed. The chamber within
its torso gives it rapid-fire bio-pellet launch capabilities. What appears to
be a tail fin is in fact the base if its counterweight and ammunition cylinder,
so immobilizing this appendage will prevent the groink from attacking...at
least in theory. Confirmation of this suspicion remains elusive, as nobody has
volunteered to test it.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
This guy can be either dangerous or simple. If you attack it head on you
are almost guaranteed to lose some Pikmin. Wait for it to attack and then run
in and instruct your army to attack. He will eventually wiggle them off and
try to clobber them with his guns. Once he is defeated, hurry and bring him
back to your ship before it revives itself.

Iridescent Flint Beetle

Pikmin is thrown directly on top of it. Then will disappear eventually)
The flint beetle looks like a small oval gem. With a shiny blue-green color.
There are also four small legs that move it around quickly and two antennae.

-Flint beetles are nocturnal, choosing to hide in the grass by day and stay
active at night. These creatures keep undigested food pellets in their
stomachs to sustain them through winter, but given the right stimulus they
will spit them out. Recent research has revealed that these pellets are
enveloped in a membrane that seals and preserves them in a sterile, airtight
environment. If kept at room temperature, it seems that this pellet membrane
will keep for up to six months. The membrane may be made from the same
substances that gives the exoskeleton of the flint beetle its beautiful sheen.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
You can't kill it. It doesn't attack you. All you can do is get stuff from
it. Just toss a Pikmin on top of it and it will flip over.

Iridescent Glint Beetle

none (it has no health, but it will give you red, purple, or gold nectars if a
Pikmin is thrown directly on top of it. It may even have a Treasure in some
places. Then will disappear eventually)
It looks like the Flint Beetle except it is a sparkling Golden color all over
its body. And the ends of its antennae are red.

This variety of beetle consumes subterranean materials. Due to the fact that it
rarely emerges above ground, sightings of this particular species are
extremely rare. While minerals are this beast's primary source of food, the
beetle itself does not have the ability to digest these minerals. Instead,
metabacteria living inside the beetle's stomach chemically break down the
minerals. The resulting purifies metal is discharged, but rare metals such as
gold and platinum crystallize onto the iridescent glint beetle's shell,
resulting in the beautiful laminated shimmer.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
You can't attack this guy. Good thing he doesn't attack you either. Just
toss a Pikmin on it and you will get something good!

Doodlebug

none(it has no health, but it will give you red, purple, or gold nectars if a
Pikmin is thrown directly on top of it. It will disappear eventually)
The Doodlebug looks like a brown Flint Beetle with flies flying around it.
Beware of the gas it farts out, for if your Pikmin aren't White ones. Then
they will be inflicted by poison. The Doodlebug seems to stay above ground
longer than any other flint beetle.

While life-forms that excrete foul musk to warn of danger are not rare, the
doodlebug is the only species known to release flatulence when active above
ground. Interestingly enough, since it is merely releasing the gas created by
decay of the contents of the creature's intestines, it does not have a special
musk-producing organ. This means the creature is in fact merely flatulating.
Spectral analysis of the rank gas indicates it contains not only methane, but
hydrogen sulfide as well, making the flatulence a Grade XIII biohazard.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
You cannot kill it....only problem is that IT CAN KILL YOUR PIKMIN! Be
careful when using any non-white Pikmin around it.

Female Sheargrub

Simply put, they are little pink blobs that wiggle around on the ground.
They are a minor threat to your Pikmin.

Mandiblard family
The males of this species are purple and black with tapered mouths, while the
females are lighter in color and lack an armored exoskeleton. As with most
mandiblards, these creatures have regressed to the point where they have lost
both legs and wings. They can be seen crawling around on the ground and are
believed to feed on the vegetable extracts from the congealed fluids of
expired Pikmin.

It is utterly defenseless. It doesn't attack you. SO lets leave it be.
Yeah right! Attack its defenseless state with any amount of Pikmin you choose.

Male Sheargrub

Little blobs with purple and blue coloring. And also tow little jaw-like
things coming out in front of them.

Mandiblard family
This specimen is a male sheargrub. Having lost both legs and wings, the male
burrows into the sol and waits to ambush small creatures that pass by. This
beast's mandibles can be dangerous, making creatures such as Pikmin easy prey.

This guy attacks you, but he’s not very strong. It only eats one Pikmin at a

cloaking burrow-nit's back also provides a frame that fixes its muscular
structure in place, and appears to give the creature its powerful
needle-launching attack.

The Burrow-nit comes out of the ground but needs to turn around most of the
time. So use that time to move your Pikmin onto it and take off a nice bit
of its health. Once it shakes them off whistle them to you and swarm them
over it again. Doing this will prevent you from losing any Pikmin to its
weird tongue thing.

These guys pose no threat to you because they only want the flower fruits that
make potions for you. If you never destroy those weird spider web-like things
you may never even meet one. If they are up on one of the flowers, just send
some Pikmin up after it and it will fall off. Then just attack it and there
you go.

are yellow. They generate electricity that connects any two that are close
enough to each other. You can only hurt them if you flip them over first.

electrifical field. As this field reaches critical levels, surplus electricity
is emitted between specimens. It can shock other creatures in the immediate
vicinity. Considering this process, it can be surmised that the largest

pack as it is to take advantage of this most effective means of group
preservation.

I suggest bringing in yellow Pikmin for this part. They are immune to
electricity. The Anode Beetle doesn't attack you directly but when one or more
are around they send currents of electricity to one another. Throw a yellow
Pikmin on it to turn it over, and then just move your Pikmin to attack it.

white in color. There are also a few legs coming out of it. They scare Pikmin

creatures that pass by its lair, dragging them inside to eat them.

move out of the way. That is when you attack its weak piont, the fleshy part
that was hidden before. When he wiggles them of whistl then to you and wait

short time. The reason for this behavior is unknown, but I look forward to
future research in the area.

DO not fear of losing Pikmin to this thing, he only re-plants them. Wait for
him to grab some of your Pikmin and either move out of the way or let him get
them. Once he starts moving back up then throw your Pikmin (preferably Yellow)
on him. THey should make him fall adn thats when you have all your Pikmin
attack.

Be very careful of this guys bombs. Once he drops one. RUn away and wait for
it to blow up. Then run in and throw as many Pikmin on it as possible. Its
balloons will pop and thats when you strike hard with the rest of your Pikmin.
Keep throwing Pikmin on him and he shouldn't be able to get out another bomb.

discarded containers. For this reason, it's wise to thoroughly ventilate any
specimens that are recovered. Lifting off with one of these creatures in the
hold can lead to a rupturing of the specimen during decompression, resulting
in an explosive mess.

This one is annoying to kill. It will try to makes your Pikmin randomly
follow it for no reason. When he falls down, or trip, move all your Pikmin to
attack him. He will jump and your Pikmin will fall off, but they won't die.
Just keep repeating this until it dies.

and it should die after 3-4 times of doing that.

clearly makes it a rather dangerous insect, it is best not to linger directly
in front of it.

Any type of Pikmin can take this down, but to be safe bring reds. Throw them
onto the dweevil because they cannot attack from the ground. He uses a fire
attack that won't affect reds. If they pick up something just throw Pikmin
on it the item will fall off.

with ambulatory root structures. This creature is known as a "mimic," but

Pikmin, perhaps because they share a similar heritage. It relies on preying
upon other creatures to provide sustenance, so it has no need of leaves for
photosynthesis. Generally speaking, the role of plants within an ecosystem is
as a producer species, and thus plants are generally found at the bottom of
the food pyramid. However, on this strange planet the line between producer
plants and consumer plants is blurred.

Ok, start by walking close to the flower with eyes. Then right as you get near
run away so that it doesn't stun you or your Pikmin when it reveals itself.
Run up to it and bait it to snap at you. Run back and it should bite itself
and fall over. That is your chance to strike! Throw or move your Piks to it
and wait for it to start getting up. Once it does whistle them back and bait
it again. It will bite itself again and you can finish it off.

First get its attention by getting near it. Once it starts running at you,
retreat. It will start walking back and that’s when you toss some Pikmin at it,

for now. Once it plants your first wave. Whistle the others back and repeat
the process. This one may take a little longer than most enemies.

or the underground ship and it will be damaged. Also throwing Pikmin on top of
them hurts them.

This is an easy battle. Just kill anything around you. Once the breadbug grabs

another monster. Then drag the Breadbug again. This time it should be killed.

plant, and many mysteries remain over precisely what sort os relationship it
has with the Pikmin. It would appear that the Pikmin gain all of the benefit
from the relationship... Perhaps it is simply a different variety of Pikmin to
begin with?

family, the fact that these plants reach maturity so quickly and that their
pellets contain such high concentratons of the natural nutrients in the soil
explains why the Pikmin and so many other indigenous species are so reliant on
these pellets for sustenance.

represent a sudden deviation in genetics of the species, the red coloration is
much more likely an anomaly. Additional readings suggest no significant

support a strong ant or beelike social structure, but recent studies show the
family is capable of such complexity. The egg sac of the largest female

femlaes temporarily take on the role of the pack matsiasch. Also, in pack
formation it has been observed that nearly all males not involved in species
reproduction undergo natural sex changes. The characteristics of such
specimens are quite intriguing indeed.

Ok, for the bosses I will write the strategy in steps:
1.Get all your Pikmin with you.
2.Kill any of the Bulborb Larva near you and on the way to the front of the
Empress
3.Throw As many Pikmin as you can onto the Empress until she starts to shake.
4.By the second shake whistle your Pikmin back to you.

5.Anyways, she will flatten any Larvae that were chasing you when she rolls
around. So don't worry about those.

bird head!! It will snatch up any Pikmin in front of it very swiftly.

a body type perfectly adapted to such sudden strikes. It violently attacks
small, surface dwelling insects. Distributed across a relatively wide range,
subspecies of snagret suited to the varying soil conditions have emerged,
making the snagret the most geographically represented species besides the
bulborb. Visually resembling the burrowing snagret is the burrowing snarrow,
the range of which partially overlaps with the snagret's range. While the two
may appear similar, when pulled from the ground they can be distinguished by
the presence or absence of tail and wing markings.

Prepare for the easiest boss battle of the game.
1.Grab 15-20 Pikmin, leave the rest near the edges.
2.Walk into the center of the area. If the Snagret comes out so that he is
very high above you, run back to the edge.
3.If not, and he is low to the ground, then toss the Pikmin you have on him.
4.He will eventually dive back underground and leave you with your Pikmin on
the surface.
5.now repeat steps 2-4 until the Burrowing Snagret is dead.

It is a golden orb with four long legs protruding out of it, which make it very
tall. It stomps around trying to catch any wandering Pikmin of guard.

Although this creature is commonly associated with spiders, it is actually the
result of a separate evolutionary line of insectoid creatures. Since the
spherical body section supported by the creature's legs carries most of its
internal organs, there appear to be no other features that would correspond
to a head or abdomen.

This boss does not require you to have Yellow Pikmin, but I found them more
helpful to use than the others.
1.Take your Pikmin (either your Yellows or whatever army you decide) about
10-15 of them. you do not want to big of an army for this one.
2.Once the Beady Long Legs falls down. Stay underneath its head while he
stomps around.
3.It will eventually get tired and slump down. That is when you throw your
Pikmin at its head.
4.When it starts to twist whistle your Pikmin so they don't get scattered.
5.Repeat steps 2-4 until it explodes.

mossy rock and his face is large and yellow. His eyes are atop his head on
stalks. When undisturbed, his eyes are the only thing you see. He uses his
large tongue to lick up items to eat them whole! mmmmmm....Pikmin

The largest member of the grub-dog family is normally found buried in the
ground, with only the stalks of its eyes exposed. This camouflage allows the
predator to surprise smaller creatures and use its long, adhesive tongue to
capture prey. The thick hide and angular hump give the organism a distinct
rocklike quality. During the rainy season, moss grows freely on its hump,
making it nearly impossible to distinguish this lethal predator from a stone.

I was very dissapointed at this battle being so easy after how hard he was
in the first Pikmin. All you need is 10 Purple Pikmin at the most.
1.Head out to the center area and Emperor Bulbax will reveal himself.
2.Walk up to him and he will open his mouth, as if to yawn, run away.
3.He will lick at all areas in the areas in front of him. That is when you run
up to him.
4.Toss all the Purple Pikmin on him and they will make quick work of him.

This guy is an enlarged breadbug with a more squarish hide. He does the same
thing as normal breadbugs and steals items lying around, except you need many
more Pikmin to drag him.

This gargantuan species of the greater breadbug family has a torso so
perfectly square that it almost seems like it was formed in a mold. For a
brief period after birth, the giant breadbug competes for food with smaller
breadbugs, but upon reaching maturity it seeks out much larger prey. This is
the primary reason that two species with similar feeding habits can coexist in
the same habitat. Hordes of Pikmin appear to pose the only plausible threat to
this massive creature's life.

This guy gives the Burrowing Snagret a run for his money in the easiest boss
department. Yellow Pikmin are a must.
1.Take all your Yellow Pikmin and go kill the Anode Beetles around the area
and destroy the generators.
2.The Giant Breadbug will try and steal one of the Anode Beetles.
3.Use as many Pikmin as you can and grab onto the Anode Beetle that it did.
4.It will be dragged to the ship and damaged to half health.
5. Follow it until he grabs another Anode Beetle or other object
6.Overtake him with that to and he will lose the rest of its health at the
ship.

Imagine the original Snagret. But now with one leg and a greenish scaly skin
instead of blue. Also its head is red and it has a longer beak. It can pick up
Pikmin three at a time.

it. Its earthly red coloration and distinct yellow ear and eye markings make
it immediately recognizable. Despite featuring a chimeralike mergin of serpent
and avian features, the pileated snagret has poor eyesight for a bird, perhaps
due to extended periods spent underground. To compensate for this, its nose
features a thermal-sensing organ common to many snakes, making it a
dangerously effective hunter.

This thing has the same basic strategy as the Burrowing Snagret, except a
little different.
1.Grab a group of Pikmin ranging anywhere from 15-20.
2.Go into the arena and it should pop out of the ground.
3.Just like the Burrowing Snagret, if it is completely above ground, run away
until it goes back underneath.
4.Also, if not then it will only be half revealed and you will not see its
legs. Throw your Pikmin on it then.
5.Repeat steps 2-4 until it is dead.

This guy looks like a boiler when below ground. And when it comes to the
surface it looks like a boiler with legs! When it gets attacked, it retracts

This species of the arachnorb family fuses with machinery at a crucial point
in the maturation process, giving it the ability to fire energy bursts from
the launcher beneath its orbular torso. However, the man-at-legs itself is not
in control of this weapon. Instead, the mechanical portions of its body
structure appear to automatically acquire and attack targets. The man-at-legs
has a gentle disposition, and as a member of the arachnorbs species, it has no
natural enemies. It is particularly difficult to understand why this species
would develope such awesome offensive capabilities, leading to rumors among
the scientific community that it was the machinery that approached the
arachnorb and proposed the symbiotic relationship.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
This guy requires some planning before hand. Remember that cunning is as
useful as force. >_>
1.First, walk around and looks for any metal structure that you can walk over
but is still fairly high.
2.Walk up to the "boiler" in the center of the room. Man-at-Lags will reveal
itself.
3.Just like Beady, it will rest after walking around for awhile. Throw your
Pikmin at it then.
4.When it starts to twist, whistle you Pikmin to you and run to your area you
picked out before the battle.
5.Man-at-Legs will start shooting a type of gun at you, but it can't hit you
if you are hiding behind your structure.
6.Once he stops firing, usually 3-4 rounds, run back to him and repeat steps
3-5 over and over until it dies.

A giant slug with a Christmas ornament on its tail. It will follow your
captain and attack when you are close. Use Pikmin to attack its ball ornament.
He can eat a lot of Pikmin at once.

What appears as a flower-shaped protrusion on its back actually functions as
its gills. The ranging bloyster ensnares small animals with its sticky

creature exhibits a keen interest in flashing objects. It often tries to
capture and ingest these objects. Researchers and explorers equipped with
flashing identification beacons should be wary when in close proximity to this
dangerous predator.

My strategy is not very good. you may want to go to another guide to get
a better one. But here it is anyways.
1.Have all your Pikmin with you.
2.Run up to the Bloyster and its eyes will turn red and it will chase after
you.
3.Simply run around the Bloyster at a close range until you are able to toss
some Pikmin on its tail.
4.It will eventually try to shake them off. Continue to throw Pikmin on it so
it doesn't get the chance to attack you.
5.Repeat steps 2-4 until dead.

This guy is funny looking. It is a watery human-like body. He rolls around on
two cylinder rocks. It also seems to be humming a strange song....
He will rock and roll over any of your Pikmin as he wishes.

All that is known about this creature stems from a few sightings deep
underground. All reported sightings feature the same core sets of details: a
giant, viscous form with a clear, hazy sheen not unlike hard candy. One theory
holds that it may be the ectoplasmic incarnation of a kind of psychic
phenomenon, but as is usually the case with such theories, it is very
difficult to prove. All witnesses report being suddenly overcome with fear
upon sighting the creature, approaching a state of panic and near insanity. In
fact, every report contains an inordinate amount of extremely vague details,
which has led to suspicion that exhaustion and fear have caused some simple
natural phenomenon to be viewed as a living creature.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
For the first few levels of the cave WW is in will have him appear on every
level. But he is invulnerable until the end.
1.When you get to the last level. Prepare your Purple Pikmin and at least 15
others.
2.Once you enter battle with him, throw a Purple Pikmin near him and he will
turn solid.
3.Toss all of your Pikmin you can onto it until it becomes solid again.
4.Kepp repeating this process until his health is depleted.
5.This is not the end though, once he loses all his health his rollers will
dissapear and he will run around.
6.Simply chase it until he gets tired and stops to catch its breath.
7.Thats when you throw a Purple Pikmin. It will become solid and you can
attack it.
8.Repeat steps 5-7 until it dissapears.

The main part of this creature looks like a giant blue lobster. Its head is a
redish color and it has one giant white claw. When it rolls around to attack
you or your Pikmin, it may run into something and its soft, fleshy core will

This gigantic beast is wrapped in a hard shell. In an atypical evolution, the
right front leg of this creature is hypertophic, taking on the function of an
arm, rather than a leg. Its asymmetric physical development is unique in the
natural world. One unlucky explorer's incorrect conclusion that this creature
adheres to a pattern of peaceful, quiet behavior led to an unfortunate
incident. In fact, this beast exhibits intensely hostile, aggressive
tendencies, aiming at prey and ramming them at full speed.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
you can make this guy very easy or very hard. IT all depends on how fast
you are.
1.Get around 15 Pikmin and enter the arena.
2.Get close enough in front of it so that it rolls around after you.
3.Get close to a wall and get out of the way just as it gets near you.
4.It will open up, but watch out for the rocks that fall down!!!!!!
5.After the rocks clear, get close to it and toss your Pikmin on the colorful
part of it.
6. When it rolls back over, call back your Pikmin and do the steps over again
until it is killed.

There is a huge purple and black ball for this creature. At the top there are
the beginnings of four skinny legs, with big feet at the ends. There is also
weird substance at each of the connection points. It just stomps around slowly
until it gets to low health then it starts stomping much quicker.

Arachnorbs boast a wonderous biological composition, with a silicon-based
exoskeleton and innards coated with malleable heavy metals. However, much
about these creatures remains a mystery, as specimens regularly explode when
they are dissected. These explosions produce scorching flames that completely
melt all internal organs, leaving us with a dissappointing lack of information
on the inner workings of the species. We must await the development of new
dissection processes and more specialized research before we can better
understand this enigmatic creature. However, the following observation notes
have been recorded: appears to be leveling terrain for some unknown purpose...
Location of eyes and ears not readily apparent...Freezing a specimen may yield
new research opportunities.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
In my opinion, Raging Long Legs is the easiest of the Arachnorbs.
1.First you have to get rid of the Jellys.
2.After you do that Raging Long Legs will appear and start stomping around.
3.Once it rests like the other Arachnorbs do, throw your Pikmin on it.
4.After a short while it will twist. Whistle Your Pikmin and step back.
5.After half its health is gone, it will stomp faster, nothing else changes
much.
6.It will take a little longer than the other Arachnorbs, but repeat steps
3 and 4 until it explodes.

Ok, there are two forms of the Titan Dweevil:
1.Before you take off all his weapons, he is metalic looking and has four
different weapons on him. They are a water spout, a flamethrower, an
electric generator, and a poison bomb.
2. After the weapons are gone he looks like a crab without the shell. If you
have ever eaten crab legs you know what I mean. If you haven't he is a pale
yellow color.

The largest member of the dweevil family, this fearsome predator carries
protective components that frequently exhibit offensive capabilities, an
evolution that may be attributed to mere chance. Another evolutionary theory
is that the chemical contents of the containers carried by titan dweevils
contribute to possible gene splicing. While other dweevils do not seem to
choose the objects they carry, the titan dweevil appears to prefer shiny
objects above all others.
<>A Strategy by Jamie:
This guy will have the most complicated strategy because it has weapons to
disable.
1.Leave your Blue Pikmin at the side and go to Louie in the center of the
arena.
2.Once Titan Dweevil appears, start attacking the water Pump. Careful to avoid
all his attacks.
3.After the Water Pump falls of. Have your Pikmin grab it and take it back to
the ship.
4.Now leave all your Pikmin and grab your Red ones. Go back to the battle.
5.Start attacking the Flamethrower thing. It will start using it more once it
starts to smoke. Which is why you have the Red Pikmin.
6.Once it falls off. Take it back to the ship and switch the red for yellow.
7.Bring them in and start attacking the Electric Generator. Once it falls off

You get these after saving Louie from the Titan Dweevil. I will use the term
save even though some argue he actually controlled it. Whatever. But anyways,
this section is incredibly yummy. (You wouldn't believe how many times this
part made me hungry while writing it!)

Mitites are strange creatures that freak out your Pikmin. They are found
randomely inside eggs anywhere in the game. They also appear from under ground
to mess you up in some areas. So there is really no precise area you can get
them. Just find a place with a lot of eggs and open them and just cross your
