Once again I have created a FAQs/Guide out of my own boredom and the
fact that someone more qualified hadn't already done so. This time it
is for the newest version of PSO. This guide covers the special
evolutions that your Mag can make once it reaches level 100 or beyond.
Many players refer to these as "Episode 1 & 2 New Mags" because they
were not a feature in the original on Dreamcast and were solely created
for the new version on Gamecube and Xbox. I only own a Gamecube so I've
not tested this on the Xbox version, but it should work all the same.

-EVOLUTION REQUIREMENTS- [3EVO]

At level 100 and every 10 levels after your Mag has a chance to evolve
into one of the special Mags. Your Mag's evolution is based on your
Section ID and class. These evolutions are permanent so your Mag will
not change again even if you alter their stats or use a Mag Cell.

Say Bolder, a Viridia RAcast, wanted to make his Kama into a Pushan he
could give it the following level 100 stats:
DEF = 10
POW = 50
DEX = 40
MIND = 0
But say that he got the numbers wrong off by even 1 point, his Mag
would stay a Kama for the next 9 levels, however he would have another
chance at level 110. If his stats were as followed he would still gain
a Pushan:
DEF = 13
POW = 55
DEX = 42
MIND = 0
However maybe Bolder didn't want a Pushan, maybe instead he wanted say
a Sato. He could level up his Mag to 99 as normal then give it to his
friend Pharah, a Redria FOmarl, and have her raise it to level 100.

-MAGS' BATTLE REACTIONS- [4MAG]
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Your Mag will react and aid you in four situations: When the PB gauge
maxs, when you encounter a boss, if you become low on HPs, or if you
die. Like a nomral Mag the likelihood, power and longevity of these
reactions is based on the Mag's IQ.

Seeing as you'll most likely gain these Mags when they are around level
100 you'll want to continue to feed them and raise their stats.
Remember you have to get a stat's bar up to 100 to gain a level in that
stat.
