Welcome to my first ever FAQ which is being created for my favourite game type
racing. So Need For Speed Most Wanted is the 9th installment in the series and
I sure hope it isn't the last.
This is going to be a though adventure so feel free to read this but I'm not
sure this will be a spoiler free FAQ so don't get to worked up if I slip
something before it is said/shown in the game.
Anyway this was an awsome game to play the first time so now I'm playing the
second time to get 100% in everything cause when I need to play a game I
need to complete it 100%. Oh, and If you are wondering if this game worth's
your hard earned 50 $, believe me it does.

Being my first guide I wish you woun't send me any criticysm about my English

11/01/2006 - Version 0.1 Restarted this guide after losing my whole work after
a electricity failure which made my 2nd partition where this FAQ was saved
blank. I had to re-install every game on my D: partition and copy my whole
music and neccesary kits on the hardrive again.

Hi, you guys. My name is Buica Laurentiu, I'm 18 and I'm from Romania. For all
of you who don't know where is Romania just look it up on a map In Europe.
Anyway, I'm not writing this FAQ to show my origins I'm just writing this FAQ
for all of you who want to know the insigths of our favourite game series
produce by EA Games, which is NEED FOR SPEED. Now when NFS serie celebrates
10 years of existence the EA produceres wanted to create something so close
to reality in terms of racing so that's how it was borned Need For Speed
Most Wanted a realistic racing game with action thrilling cut-off the scenes
Hollywood police chases, something more exciting than "Worst drivers caught
on tape". Some people disagree with this game saying that NFS UG2 had better
graphics or Most Wanted has too little pimping possibilities; but hey! let's
get serious: no game before Most Wanted had this kind of graphics(maybe just
GTA San Andreas and the last FPS's) and you can't compare NFS UG2 with
NFS MW in terms of graphics and also MW doesn't have the purpose to pimp your
ride(your not on "Pimp my Ride"): it's purpose is to successfully evade the
P.D's(fuzz, police, turkey's - whatever you like to call them).
Also I played many games before, and I could say I've got gaming in my blood
because all the games I played it I finished them. My favourite games genders
are: RACING, Sports Simulators(something like NBA/FIFA), Strategy games
(something like Age of Empires III{I hate Warcraft series}), FPS(Max Payne,
Quake 4, Area 51, COD 2) and Actions(POP:SOT,WW,T2T).
Don't you think I'm a freak just because I like playing games(I know to
do other stuffs with the PC), I have a social life you know so I woun't always
sit out and write this FAQ or play games. I have hobby's you know. Oh, and I'm
single too(I have no girlfriend) If any girl is"interested".
In the end of this I would like to state that every question, correction,
problem, love letter(girls only) about the game you should send me an e-mail

4. About The NFS World 4NFS .

Ok, guys EA Games surprised us every year with their NFS games. Since
2003 they've released the Underground series which featured "illegal"
street racing that took place at the cover of the night and these
2 games featured mean tuner imports ranging from European pussy cats
to Asian and American wild tigers and muscle cars, because the whole
purpose of these 2 games was to tune up your ride with the best&
fastest parts to become the Ultimate Street Racer. These 2 games where
just a little something to add to the fame of the recent movie releases
in that period, "The FAST and The Furious" and "2FAST - 2FURIOUS" that
featured also pimped out japanese import tuners with highly turbo-charged
engines and NOS systems.
Back in 2002 they released NFS HOT PURSUIT 2, the sequel of NFS 3, which
featured an awesome collection of cars ranging from street cars to famous
expensive exotics with no customization features.
But now in the fall of 2005 we will be blessed with the new NFS. This
16th November release will be a bang in this year game production. Action-
thrilling illicit street racing + Hollywood-style high speed police chases
will be the order of the day, because this game will take place between
sun shine and sunset, for you to become no.1 again.
And yes, your not seeing things. YA, high speed police chases are back from
NFS HOT PURSUIT 2, now with highly improved arsenal and tricked-out rides and
lots more.

Ok, you need for speed junkies, here's the basic section in which you'll be
able to understand the proper basics of the game and also familiarize yourself
with the characters and the story.

Even if somebody said to me NFS UG2 seemed better in graphics, I have say to
you my dear friend who tryed to argue with me: NFSMW rocks in terms of
graphics so you woun't need a monster to run the game but you really don't
need to play this game on a 64 Mb GF2 mx 440 graphics cars.
So here are the minimum requirements:
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional,
or Windows XP Home operating system
Intel Pentium 4 (or equivalent) CPU running at 1.4GHz or higher
32MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (Geforce2 MX or higher) using a
supported chipset
256 MB RAM
DirectX compatible sound card
3 GB of HD space
8X CD-ROM
But this are minimum so let's pass to my pretty decent specs:

And the game runs pretty smoothly with this specs on 1024x768 resolution with

5.B Gameplay 5BGY .

THE Gameplay! Well the gameplay remains the same like in the UG series but
with a few worthy improvements.
The improvements are:
1. Speedbreaker - An option that helps you slow down the time and pass threw
unexpected situations without getting a scratch. It's useful in tight
situations like 90 degree turns or passing threw a police roadblock/spike
strip or for dodging the famous Rhino units. If you like this option is
a replica of the bullet time sequnce in Max Payne or the slowdown feature in
the Prince of Persia series.
2. Heat Level - Since you'll end up dealing with the 10-4's a lot in this game
the heat level shows how much heat you bring on your car. A high heat level
means a lot of police with new means to stop you. The heat level in career
mode ranges from 1-5 reaching 6 at the last pursuit but in challenge series
you'll have 2 races with the last 2 heat levels(6-7).
3. Pursuit Breaker Icons - Again like the speedbreaker this is a new addition
in the game and it helps you escape the police. This icons are shown on the
map with red triangle(just when you're chased) and the effect is instant in
the meaning that when you pass threw it makes the police cars crash threw it
and wreck themselves and you can successfully escape the fuzz.
4. Cooldown - This is again a new addition to the game and in a chase they
represent hiding spots where you can:! obviously hide. They're shown on the
map as dotted circles only when you enter cooldown mode after you reached
to the limit of the evaded bar.
At least this are the new improvements to the game so there isn't anything new
added besides this. I think the biggest improvement of this game was the one
that the steering system remained the same sturdy no errors system not like
the one in Juiced where at a touch of a button your car started to fishtail
like heal and I don't really have anything with this game but the steering
system spoils the fun in Juiced.

right now and go home. Did you hear me, clown? The park has been closed
for years, but if you bring the sickest car to the race you might have
the ride of your life.
3.Point Camden
With all the new construction around here, there are tons of obstacles
to get in your way … or to put in front of anyone on your tail. Play it
right and you can use the building boom to lower the boom on the cops,
or to blow away some fool who doesn’t know what’s up.

This ain’t the place for a quiet round of 18. Nope, this is where you
come to rip up the fairways and tear up the greens, tuner-style. And if
the regulars start chasing you with 9-irons, put the pedal to the metal
and shout out "it’s all good."

It’s all about big money on the Westside, and the cars are no exception.
Those jokers in the financial district think they rule the Universe.
Well, they’re living in a dream world, baby. Wake ‘em up with the roar

Some folks think culture is all about fancy museums and restaurants.
Nah, culture is two tricked-out rides going head-to-head with the
beats blasting through the ozone layer. And if someone doesn’t like it,
give ‘em some earplugs and a one-way ticket home to mama.
3.Eastside
You don’t want to break down here … ever. Don’t even think about hitting
the Eastside until you trick out your ride like never before. Crazy stuff
happens here, but you’ll be alright as long as you keep blowing the doors
off anyone in your way.

The game contains different tracks which you can play with and they differ in
amount from one race type to another:
- DRAG Racing - Has a total of 11 races, 2 of them you can play right away;
The other ones you have to unlock them by playing threw career.
- SPRINT Racing - Has a total of 46 races, 5 of them you can play right away;
The other ones you have to unlock them by playing threw career.
- CIRCUIT Racing - Has a total of 29 races, 6 of them you can play right

The game offers all kind of turnovers but what will be this turnovers without
some spicy characters. This game has 2 kinds of characters: Main and Blacklist
characters. As shown below the game is spyced up with different situations.
I. Main Characters
1. Mia Townsend(interpreted by Josie Maran)
- All Mia will tell you about herself is that she loves to win and hates
to lose. Find out more about her when you make eye contact with her at 180
MPH.Mia is a drop dead gorgeous woman who has, against the better judgment
of her father, joined into the "Family Business" where she’s proven herself
to be hard working, determined and assertive.
Mia is the first women in her family to actually join the business and
in doing so has struggled both at work and at home to prove she can do the
job just as good as her father and cousin’s.
What is this family business?
2. Sgt. Cross
- one mean male police officer that want's to put out illicit street racing in
the city of Rockport and he hates you from the moment you show up into town.
3. Sgt's. Cross secondary
- a female officer escorting sgt. Cross is seen in the cinematics
and by the looks of it shes's pretty tough plus she smacks you in the face
when she busts your ass.
4. Clarence Callahan "Razor"
- The guy who you challege at the beggining because you want to take his 15th
spot in the Blacklist but he ends up being No. 1 after stealing your ride.
II. "BLACKLIST" Characters
Blacklist No.1 - Clarence Callahan "Razor"
Ride: BMW M3 GT-R
Strength: Everything
Bio: Razor rocketed to the top of the Blacklist using your ride. Now he's
he's holding it down and rolling the streets like he owns them. He'll do
anything he can to give himself an edge. That includes messin' with your
head. Remember you can't trust anything he says.
Blacklist No.2 - Toru Sato "Bull"
Ride: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
Strength: Sprint Races
Bio: If it weren't for Razor, Toru would still be hanging down at the docks
dreamin' of the Blacklist. This fool thinks he's got a sleeper, calls it
reverse psychology. The only thing stock on his ride is the paint. Toru
likes to keep his car mint so give him a bump when you can.
Blacklist No.3 - Ronald McCrea "Ronnie"
Ride: Aston Martin DB9
Strength: Immobilizing Police Vehicles
Bio: You know Ronnie. He's one of those rich freaks that thinks he's ghetto.
He definitely ain't from around the way. Got his car as a graduation gift
from his parents. Don't be fooled though, the guy knows how to drive. He's
been to every race school you can think of.
Blacklist No.4 - Joe Vega "JV"
Ride: Dodge Viper SRT-10
Strength: Speedtrap Races
Bio: I don't know how JV does it, man. His nights are spent in the clubs
and days on the streets. This guy's got a lot of street rep. Cops hate him
and racers want to be like him. His flash green Dodge Viper has cops
swarming around it all the time.
Blacklist No.5 - Wes Allen "Webster"
Ride: Corvette C6
Strength: Escaping Pursuits
Bio: Webster's always talking about rides, performance, racers, blah, blah,
blah. Won't shut up. He's got some crazy idea that he's gonna make it big.
When he ain't street racing, he's hanging out at shops. His ride is tuned to
the max. Apparently the interior is stripped of everything that isn't
related to speed.
Blacklist No.6 - Hector Domingo "MING"
Ride: Lamborghini Gallardo
Strength: Photo Tickets
Bio: This here is Ming. He prides himself on keeping his ride looking stock.
He's fast and shreds radar traps everywhere he can. He's the straight goods.
Word is he got his ride from some rich cat who talked when he should have
been listening. Don't take 'm on until you're ready.
Blacklist No.7 - Kira Nakazato "Kaze"
Ride: Mercedes-Benz CLK 500
Strength: Cost To State
Bio: Kaze is crazy. What she can't conquer with skills, she demolishes
with speed. Don't let her sweet looks fool ya. She'll trash anything
she sees, including you. She's not afraid to ding her ride to put you
out of commission.
Blacklist No.8 - Jade Barrett "Jewels"
Ride: Ford Mustang GT
Strength: Drag Races
Bio: This sweet thing goes by the name Jewels. She's all about big block
and muscle. She's got a lot of mileage under her wheels so don't be
tempted to do anything stupid> She's got some serious power under the
hood.
Blacklist No.9 - Eugene James "Earl"
Ride: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII
Strength: Sprint Races
Bio: This guy hails from the lower eastside of Rockport but now rides on
the coast. He's a big fan of imports and goes out of his way to take on
the big blocks.
Blacklist No.10 - Karl Smit "Baron"
Ride: Porsche Cayman S
Strength: Infractions
Bio: This flake calls himself "Baron". He's a rich guy from the coast. He
thinks garage custom is an excuse for being broke. As far as he's
concerned, "if it's not a name brand, it's nothing." Go show'm what home
grown rides can do.
Blacklist No. 11 - Lou Park "Big Lou"
Ride: Mitsubishi Eclipse
Strength: Tollbooth Time Trials
Bio: This slab of Korean muscle considers himself a real ladies man. He's
all show. Rumor has it; he panics around cops and bails on races the first
chance he gets. Along with that they say he has problems working the clutch
so he's slow off the line. I wouldn't count on it if I was you.
Blacklist No.12 - Isabel Diaz "Izzy"
Ride: Mazda RX-8
Strength: Lap Knockout Races
Bio: Izzy is definitely a chick you don't want to mess with. She knows
everything there is about cars, on and off the road. She's got her ride
wired tight. She comes from a long line of race fanatics. Everybody she
runs with is either a cousin, friend or uncle. They all stick close so
don't get on her bad side.
Blacklist No.13 - Victor Vasquez "Vic"
Ride: Toyota Supra
Strength: Pursuit Length
Bio: This dude's been holding it down in the #13 slot for a while now. He
can't break out of his rut and no one can run him out. He's slack and
dangerous but knows how to handle his ride. He'll smoke you if he gets the
chance.
Blacklist No.14 - Vince Kilic "Taz"
Ride: Lexus IS 300
Strength: Sprint Races
Bio: This crazy fool is a major heat score. Blacklist gave him the name
"Taz".He hates cops and they hate him. Watch yourself around this guy.
He prowls the streets of Rosewood lookin for newbies.
Blacklist No.15 - Ho Seun "Sonny"
Ride: Volkswagen Golf GTi
Strength: Circuit Races
Bio: This here is Sonny. He's dumped a whole lot of cash into his car. That
