-------------------------
1.) Introduction
-------------------------
Last summer, NBA Street for the Sony Playstation 2 was released to the public,
and I, as well as many others, fell in love with the game. Street basically
took the "NBA Jam" ideas to another level: Fake, cartoony, street ball with
real players. Street was a product of EA Big, who used the elaborate trick
system of SSX Snowboarding, and put it into a basketball game. The idea worked,
and the game was a hit. Now, the sequel, NBA Street Vol. 2 has come out, and I
have fallen in love with it as I did the original. The game keeps the
multiplayer playback of the original game, but adds Legends, and a new single
player game mode, Be a Legend. With only minor errors, this game should last
you for a long, long, time. This FAQ has general information about all parts
of the game. Keep checking for updates. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

3.) Be a Legend
-------------------------
Be A Legend is the new single player mode where you bring your created player
through the street rankings from pick up games to legend.

If you are having the 440 Points problem, check the General FAQ section,
as the answer is there.

Start off by creating a baller (My Team in the menu, then Create A Bawler).
I would suggest starting NBA Challenge first, because you can get some reward
which can start you off with some more development points. I suggest trying to
max out your favorite style of play. For me, it was shooting.

----------
Development Points in Be A Legend
----------
Tricks: 10 Points per 100,000 trick points
Level 1 Gamebreaker: 10 Points
Level 2 Gamebreaker: 25 Points
Win: 100 Points
Completed Court: 100 Points

As you start to win more, your reputation increases, as your reputation
increases, you get rewards:
Level 1 (Rookie): Jerry West Jersey, 10 Points
Level 2 (Baller): David Thompson Jersey, 10 Points
Level 3 (All Star): 10 Points
Level 4 (Superstar): Dominique Wilkins Jersey, Boss Move "The Nique", 10 Points
Level 4 (Legend): George Gervin Jersey, 10 Points

----------
Time To Play
----------
Now you begin to play. Start by chosing some ballers and head to New York City.

*New York City*
Rec Center: Pick Up Game
To Unlock: Available from Start
Required Points For Progression: 15 Progress Points
Win 5 Games (3 Points Each) to achieve 15/15 points which will unlock Philly,
and a Pick Up Game there. Win that to unlock the Soul in the Hole Tournament,
and head back to NYC.

Soul in the Hole: Tournament
To Unlock: 17 Progress Points
Required Points For Progression: 25 Progress Points
This single elimination tournament requires three straight victories to win.
Nothing too challenging. You will play Stretch in the finals, and after beating
him, you unlock him and have the option to put him on your team. You also get
the boss move 'Stretch', and access to The Cage in NYC, The Soul in the Hole
Street Challenge, and Foster Beach in Chicago.

Soul in the Hole: Street Challenge
To Unlock: Win Soul in the Hole Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 0 (win the challenge once)
This game is 'old school rules'. 1 Point per shot, 12 Second Shot Clock, and a
12 Point game. After a win, you unlock the move 'The Pistol', and Pete
Maravich's throwback jersey.

The Cage: Pick Up Game
To Unlock: Complete Soul in the Hole
Required Points for Progression: 30
Win 5 Games (6 Points Each) to progress.

Uptown: Pick Up Game
To Unlock: 130 Progress Points
Required Points for Progression: 40
After earning 130 PP's in various tournaments, come back here to rack in
another 40.

Rucker Park: Tournament
To Unlock: 300 Progress Points
Required Points for Progression: 100
This is another Single Elimination Tournament, 3 straight wins required. The
boss you play in the finals is Bonafide, and when you get him you get Bonafide
as a charachter, the move "The Bonafide", and the Rucker Park court.

Rucker Park: Street Challenge
To Unlock: 450 Progress Points
Possible Progression: 50
Unlocking this is extremely confusing, and for the third time in the FAQ, you
get the extra 10 Progress Points by doing the Rucker Park Tourny again. Now,
this game is hard, because everthing is only worth one point and you are
playing an excellent dunking team in Julius Earving, Connie Hawkins, and Earl
Monroe, and unluckily for you, Monroe isn't limping. Just play more of a post
games and worry less about the jump shot. If you win, you get throwback jerseys
of them all, all of them as unlocked charachters, and a trophy (get the one
from NBA Challenge and Street School to unlock 85 Jordan).

*Philly*

Broad Street: Pick Up Game
To Unlock: Complete NYC Rec Center
Required Points for Progression: 20
Win one game here and go back to NYC for the Soul in the Hole tourny. After,
come back here and play a few more games to progress.

Broad Street: Street Challenge
To Unlock: Complete Broad Street Pick Up Games
Required Points for Progression: 0, just beat it.
This is a trick point challenge: First to 250,000 trick points wins. Just do
tricks and dunks to get the 250. For winning, you get the moves Chocolate
Thunder and The Glide.

*Chicago*

Foster Beach: Tournament
To Unlock: Win The Soul in the Hole Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 30
Yet another Single Elimination Tournament where you need 3 straight wins. You
play Biggie Littles in the finals, unlocking him, his move, the Foster Beach
court, the Foster Beach Street Challenge, and access to the Greenlake Tourny
in Seattle.

Foster Beach: Street Challenge
To Unlock: Complete the Foster Beach Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 0, just beat it.
Only dunks count, and there is a 12 second shot clock. Just keep dunking and
watch out for the accidental double tap giving you a lay up. When completed,
you unlock Wilt Chamberlain's throwback jersey and the move 'The Big Dipper'.

*Seattle*

Greenlake: Tournament
To Unlock: Win the Foster Beach Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 35
This is a Double Elimination Tourny for a change. Even though you have the
security of a loss, its a hell of a lot easier if you just win them all. In
the first match you play Whitewater, then you play another round, and then
Whitewater again in the finals. If you beat him again in the finals, you
unlock him as a street legend charachter, his boss move, access to the
Greenlake Street Challenge, and access to LA.

Greenlake: Street Challenge
To Unlock: Whin the Greenlake Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 0, just beat it.
All this is, is a game with no gamebreakers. Kill this one softly by just
hitting a few long range shots and not worrying about high score dunking and
tricks. By winning, you get a Larry Bird throwback jersey, and the boss move
"The Legend".

*Los Angeles*

Lincoln College: Tournament
To Unlock: Win the Greenlake Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 40
This is a best of 3 Series, so try to win the first 2 to end it quickly and
easily. After the finals against Dime, you unlock her street legend charachter,
her move "Droppin' Dimes", and access to the Lincoln College Street Tournament
and Oakland aswell as the court.

Lincoln College: Street Challenge
To Unlock: Win the Lincoln College Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 0, just beat it.
In this challenge, you play to 50 with NBA Rules against a real NBA Team. An
inside shot is worth 2, and long range shots are 3. I played the Lakers, so I
grabbed Shaq afterwards. I suggest taking a player from the other team
strongly. After winning, you get a player from the opposing team, Magic
Johnson's throwback, and the boss move 'Magic'.

*Oakland*

Mosswood: Tournament
To Unlock: Win the Lincoln Center Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 65
This is another Double Elimination Tournament. You play Osmosis in the finals,
and after completion unlock him, his boss move "The Oz", access to the Mosswood
Street Challenge, aswell as the court.

Mosswood: Street Challenge
To Unlock: Win the Mosswood Tournament
Required Points for Progression: 0, just beat it.
This is first to a Level 2 Gamebreaker. Always cancel their first if you have
the chance. Remember, lots of combos. Pumpfakes and dishes work great. Do a
trick, make a pumpfake, and pass it, do that untill you have 10 left on the
shot clock, and then do a dunk and you'll get your combo isnanely quick. After
winning, you'll get Dr. J's throwback and the boss move "The Doctor".

-------------------------
4.) NBA Challenge
-------------------------
NBA Challenge is very similar to the original single player mode in Street.
Pick a team, and play them against other teams untill you have beaten everyone.
NOTICE: The personal strategy is just that, my personal strategy. Therefor, it
may not apply to the way you play. Also, depending on your level of play,
certain aspects may not show up as much. For example: On Legendary Mode, Shaq
may have 10 blocks against you, while on Got Game Mode he'll have 1.

North West:
Court: Greenlake
Teams:
Golden State Warriors
Personal Strategy: Richardson is your only real threat. Try not to let him
pull off the open jumper, and take the open dunk through the lane.

Portland Trailblazers
Personal Strategy: They have a good team: Wallace, Pippen, and Wells. Wallace
can control the post, so he'll be the dunkig force for the team. Pippen and
Wells are both good shooters, so take precaution with open jumpers.

Sacremeneto Kings
Personal Strategy: Another good team. Webber will block some outside shots and
get some rebounds so you may want to focus more on the lane. Bibby and Peja
will both nail the outside jumper, so watch out for them.

Seattle Supersonics
Personal Strategy: The major force here is Ray Allen. He has excellent shooting
as well as good handeling and dunking. He just doesnt have height. Again, be
precautious with leaving him with the open jumper. Rashard Lewis is decent,
he's agressive but doesn't have height. His shot is good enough for him to hit
and open jumper.

Utah Jazz
Personal Strategy: Stockton has awesome handeling and shooting. Malone will get
some blocks and dunks, and Harpring will hit an open jumpshot if neccisary.

Denver Nuggets
Personal Strategy: Horrible team. Camby isn't aggressive in the post. He may
do one of the goaltending blocks, but you can dunk right over him. Howard is
a decent player, and can hit an inside jumpshot and pick up some blocks, but
is really useless besides that. Whitney is a respectable shooter but has
nothing else.

Boss: North West Legends (Pete Maravich, George Gervin, David Thompson)
Personal Strategy: Well, they are legends, they are obviously good. Marachich
is an outside shooting threat. He will make most of his jumpshots, gaurded or not.
His flaw is his lack of dunking. He just can't do it. At all. Gervin is
the worst of the three, and Thompson is an awesome dunker and shooter.

South West:
Court: Lincoln College
Teams:
Dallas Mavericks
Personal Strategy: A great team right here. The Mavs have an excellent shooting
team. No one, and I stress that, can be left open. All three will hit any
jumpshot. They lack on defense though, no one is that great at blocking shots
which will allow you to hit your jumper.

Houston Rockets
Personal Strategy: Francis has good handles and, along with Mobley, will nail
an outside jumper. Yao brings the team together on defense though, and will
smack down an outside jumper. Try  distracting him or knocking him down before
shooting, or just resort to the lane. He is very fragile so you'll knock him
down with ease.

Los Angeles Clippers
Personal Strategy: Miller has good handles so he'll most likely be the main
handler. His shot isn't perfect so he may not hit a jump shot white covered.
Brand will be your major threat, getting a good amount of blocked shots and
inside dunks. Odom will hit the open jumper and make some dunks, but is nothing
else.

Los Angeles Lakers
Personal Strategy: Shaq is the perfect defensemen for this game. The only way
to really get around him is to dunk with someone with full power and almost
full dunks, or have your post guy knock him down and hit a jump shot. I would
got for the latter. Kobe is another threat. He'll hit the jumper and also dunk
right on top of you. Just make sure to get a hand in his face when he's taking
a shot, and that you also have someone under the basket for a turbo block.

Phoenix Suns
Personal Strategy: Lucky for you, they start Hardaway over Stoudemire leaving
them with little post defense. Marion will dunk and steal like crazy,
Marbury will hit the outside jumper, and Penny will hit his open shots. You
can make up for their great offense by killing their defense.

San Antonio Spurs
Personal Strategy: The Spurs have Duncan and Robinson, who will kill you in
the post. Luckily, their outside shooting is sub-par. You're going to need
someone who can block them on the inside. If you have a backup big guy, I
suggest throwing him in. 2 Big Guys and 1 Shooter would be ideal.

Boss: South West Legends (Dominique Wilkins, James Worthy, Earl Monroe)
Personal Strategy: Well, again, these guys are legends so they are good. Nique
is one hell of a dunker, so watch out for him. Worthy and Monroe both have
average shooting, so cover them in front of the 3 Point Line.

North East:

6.) General FAQ
-------------------------
Please e-mail all questions you have to [email protected]; I will answer them
here.

Q. I am stuck on Be A Legend. I have 440 Points and need 450 to get up to
the last Street Challenge. Everything is checked off. What am I doing wrong?
A. This is probably the most frequently asked question so far. For some
reason, you have to play the first two rounds of the Rucker Park Tournament
again, or any street challenge to get the remaining 10 points. Anything
but a Pick Up game.

Q. Who is the last Street Legend, you can't see him.
A. He is the 1985 Michael Jordan, who you get by getting all the trophys.

Q. How do I get a Level 2 Gamebreaker?
A. After you have a Level 1 Gamebreaker, hit up on the control pad, that will
"pocket" the Gamebreaker. After it's pocketed, you can build up your trick
point bar untill it is full and you have another Gamebreaker, which will be a
Level 2 Gamebreaker.
