Sasuke is a decent overall character. He's not particularly strong, but he's
not weak either. As a special bonus, Sasuke can throw kunais while running,
and continue running at the opponent. From far distances he can throw a few
sets and they will all combo. Sasuke can follow with a combo after using them.

A bit different than the normal characters (only similar to Ino), the first
difference with Sakura is that her throw does not launch. However, she can get
a free quick hit if it connects. Another difference is that she has a lot more
projectile attacks than the normal character. With three sets in the air and a
heat-seeking L2 charged ground projectile (that launches!), Sakura isn't bad.

Rock is very unique in that he has two different super moves. His primary
Initial Lotus is his basic super, but he can also perform the Ura Renge by
first opening additional gates. Once he has performed the gate opening

Kiba is one of the characters that actually has a "helper" in battle. While

Ino doesn't benefit from multiple projectiles like Sakura. Also, her super is
very true to the anime in that, if you miss it, Ino is left wide open for a

same push throw that Sakura has.

Gai is basically a Rock clone with a few minor changes. First of all, he can't

lacks a legitamate launcher and his overall combo damage, for what few combos

Kankuro is one of the trickier characters in the game because he actually
fights with his doll, Karasu. With good doll-management, Kankuro can be a very

it seals the opponents chakra meter for the rest of the round. What this means

Interestingly enough, Karasu has permanent armor. What this means is, when he
is hit, his does not need to recover before performing another action. This
allows him to stay in the opponents face while being struck and counter attack

Karasu to interrupt with an attack of his own. Karasu has no super.

Akamaru has both a big benefit and a big disadvantage. The benefit is his
obvious size. It's incredibly hard to hit him. His main disadvantage is that

This Sasuke is unique in that he has two supers. One on the ground (Chidori,
which can be charged for max damage), and Air Katon. When Chidori is charged
to the max level, it auto releases and the camera will change to show Sasuke's
face. Aside from minor changes, this Sasuke is almost identical to normal
Sasuke. Don't miss his active Sharingan eyes (although he can't copy stuff).

While Sharingan Kakashi is not much different from regular Kakashi, he has a
couple of features that make him much better. His b+A counter teleports
behind the opponent allowing for different mixup opportunities. Also, if
opponent tries to use their super attack, Kakashi can grab it with the b+A
and he will perform their super on them. This technique cannot be used on
Neji, Hinata, Haku, Kankuro, Gaara, or Gai.

The purpose of this section is to help you understand the different menus and
icons throughout the game. I'm not really that concerned with listing the
exact order and cost for every single item, but moreso what they represent. In
the case of icons, this section should help you decide what is worth unlocking
first, and what is better left for later. Actual costs are unimportant.
[ MENU TRANSLATIONS ]
In order to know where to start on the menu, locate the black/white Yin-Yang
graphic on the left. When the head of the black portion is up, and the tail is
pointing straight down, this is Single Player Mode. To make sure you have it
aligned properly, the "eye" of the black graphic is directly above the "eye"
of the white graphic. When selected, the first graphic will match "Arcade"
below. This is one of the easiest ways to figure out where to start.

==============================================================================
[ ANKO'S SHOP ]
In order to unlock items, you must first make some money. Do that by playing
in any of the single player modes. Once you have money, head into Anko's Shop
and purchase away! In order to make the best out of your trip to Anko's Shop,
match up the icon shown with the listing below. This should help you to choose
what to buy first, and what to wait on.
- Characters: blue icon, white silhouette
Basically keep buying them until they stop appearing. The only character that
requires something other than purchasing the characters before him is Extra
Sasuke. In order to get Extra Sasuke, you must have Orochimaru unlocked, then
purchase the 10th additional story mode battle (Battle #30). This will make
Extra Sasuke appear in Anko's Shop. In order for character icons to start
appearing, you must beat the first 20 scenes in story mode.
- Game Modes: red icon, white kunai
There are three additional game modes to unlock: CPU Battle (beat story mode
one time), Team Battle (score first in Time Attack), and Shadow Fighting (just
unlock Team Battle Mode). Quite honestly, if you are looking to make some
serious cash, work on opening up Shadow Fighting first, then spend some time
in there collecting money. It's a lot faster and easier than playing story
mode over and over again.
- New Stage: orange icon, white square/trapezoid
These appear one after another. You must unlock one for the next to appear.
- Additional Difficulty / Damage: dark blue icon, gray swirls
In order to make the Additional Difficulty swirl to appear, place first in
Survival Mode. To make Additional Damage appear, place first in Time Attack.
- Stat Menus: green icon, 3 white papers
Beat the first 20 scenes of story mode to unlock. Basically it opens up the
stats screen in Omake (the one with the Rock Lee graphic). This area lets you
check some of the stats you've piled up while playing.
- Character Profile: indigo icon, white forehead protector
Beat the game with a character and the icon for that character will appear.
Both Karasu and Akamaru do not have profiles.
- Character Sounds: light green icon, white thought bubbles
Beat the game with a character and the icon for that character will appear.
Karasu, Akamaru, Extra Sasuke, and Sharingan Kakashi do not have special SFX.
- Additional Story Mode Battles: light blue icon, white scrolls
Beat story episode 20 and the icon for battle 21 will appear. Beat story
episode 21 and the icon for battle 22 will appear. Do this until you've
unlocked all 10 extra battles (there are 30 total).
- Background Music: yellow icon, white cd
After purchasing all of the extra stages (orange icon, white square/trapezoid)
the BGM icon will appear. Buy it, and you can listen to all the tracks.
- Battle Sound Effects: purple icon, white boot on puddle
This icon is for the the general game sounds.
- Versus Mode Options 1: burgundy icon, arrows pointing up
- Versus Mode Options 2: reddish icon, white scroll
- Versus Mode Options 3: light blue icon, white fan
See the Versus Mode Options translation area for info on these. They unlock
one after another. Buy one, the next appears... and so on.
