Its still a work in progress, but I’ve had some decent games
so far with these sliders.
The CPU will change out its pitchers regularly and not leave
their starters in for too long. Your pitchers will start
to tire in late 6th to 7th inning if their stamina is
in the 80's then they can go a little longer (8th +) and if their
in stamina is in the 90's and haven't given up too many hits.
I have no problem with the CPU attempting steals and
my errors and injuries and been pretty realistic. The
CPU power may still need to be increased because i don't
think they hit enough HR's, but my HR's have been pretty
realistic (not arcadish).
Comments are welcome and encouraged.

There! Here is a list of improvements this version addresses:
-Stealing. Better catchers can actually get the fast
runners.
-Double Plays: Transitions, and chances of completion
-Offensive production and more varied games.
-Pitch counts refined.
-Runner aggression - produces more movement by the CPU on
the field
-CPU contact and power balance. Make sure to waste
pitches to setup the CPU batters or you will PAY!
-Fielder injuries lessened.
Some notes:
-I have not done any testing on any other levels, as I still
have much more to look at on the All-Star level.
-Pitch counts will vary depending on your patience at the plate.
-Some sliders have a zero value b/c they really do not need
tweaking.
-The set has taken shape and is very much close to completion.
Constructive comments/feedback always welcome!
Enjoy!
PHEW! As you can see the list is long, but I have to give lots of
credit to the MVP development team, as this game was
REALLY great out of the box. Even though it is great out of the box,
here is a list of improvements this version addresses:
-Pitch counts; Increased for both User and CPU
-The slow baserunners can no longer be thrown out on plays where
the fielder dives, spins, adjusts his crotch, checks out the hot girl
in the third row, and then throws to first. Ichiro/Pierre still blaze
down the line, but not unbelievably so.
-CPU Batters will now take a first pitch strike here and there, plus
can get caught looking with proper pitching strategies. Their contact
was raised to allow more solid contact and to also offset the
increased number of fouls.
-Increased number of foul balls hit.
-User has a LOT less control when pitching. Missing the perfect zone
allows for pitches to miss their spots immensely, directly correlated
to the meter.
In other words, the further you are from the Perfect zone, the more
you will
see how off the pitch is from the initial spot.
-Meter is a bit tougher to hit the Perfect spot all the time.
You really must
work for it.
-Baserunners are more aggressive. I'm not done with steal delay and
steal speed.
The steal delay has to be a lot less, so you can get the impression
that a runner "takes off" as soon as they think the pitcher commits
to home. Must be offset by Steal speed, however.

Welcome on, welcome all.... it seems that it is that time of the year
again, where we are all glued to our TV's playing MVP Baseball! Not that
it's a bad thing, keep in mind.
I have not released any sliders so far this year, for one reason, I wanted
to test them, tweak them, etc. I have looked at -0- slider sets, I wanted
these to be based 100% off my gameplay experience that I had. I'll explain
them in a second here:

Oh... what's that? These look hard? Your right they do. I personally
always like to challenge myself and get better at the game, some
people might get scared from the -15 user contact, but you know what
.. if I have it higher than that right now I am getting too many hits,
and with the way the sliders are set up, you don’t have to just get HITS
to score runs.
If you don't work the count with these sliders, you are dead, plain
and simple. You NEED walks and you NEED to tire out their pitcher.
Also, Outfielder and Infielder Speed has been reduced to provide more
realistic doubles into the gap, and seeing eye singles, on default I
found the computer and myself able to get to just flat out too many
gapers. With these, the computer and yourself will get some more doubles,
and all around have a better experience. Defense plays damn near spot
on for me.
Pitching is difficult with lesser pitchers, but you should be able to
command some great games with your studs. These are designed to make
it difficult to always place your pitch right where you want, as to
provide a new level of realism.... Hey, I was a pitcher who was offered
a scholarship, so I know a thing or two about pitching =D
I'm sure I could have rushed these out sooner, and had them be of less
quality, but as is right now I think they are (Super) good, and I hope
you all enjoy them... I will obviously be making additions and what not
to these, and I will keep everyone updated as such. With that said, I
present my first slider set of the year, have fun!
