I recommend "Courier New" font @ 10 points to view this document.

This FAQ lists, by level, the Enemies Encountered, New Weapons & their
locations, Upgrade/EUKs & their locations, Batteries & their locations,
Power-ups & their locations, and Special Secondary Weapons & their locations.
All levels are covered, but things may have been missed.

*Gold Washers may be added later.*

These lists are meant to provide only occurrences of enemies, and occurrences &
locations of items. For descriptions, see Mike McDevitt's (pikmario's)
Items/Weapons/Enemies FAQ at <www.gamefaqs.com>. I suggest reading his FAQ,
Items/Weapons/Enemies are described in detail. I use (for the most part) the
same nomenclature presented in his FAQ.

A note on saves: Saves are at level beginning. And there is only one game-save
per profile. You can NOT replay a level for anything other than secret chips.
If you have a mem card, you can use it to store multiple saves (use different
profile names). You will have to transfer a save after every level (by exiting
the game). I strongly recommend this if you have a mem card! AGAIN, when you
finish a level there is NO GOING BACK to improve your ammo, or washer
situation without a mem card backup.

If you spot any errors, or have any suggestions, please contact me at
[email protected] Include "Metal Arms" in the subject line. Any changes made
due to feed-back will be credited, of course.

These are what I found, listed by level. I almost certainly I missed some. I
did not find a Level 3 Scatter Blaster or Ripper EUK (but did find three
Rocket Launcher EUKs, Level 4?) Any help would be appreciated (and duly
credited, of course).

Types of enemies encountered in the level are listed (for Grunts, the type of
weapon carried is listed in parentheses).

Also listed are New Primary Weapons, Upgrades/EUKs, and Batteries. As are are
Special Secondary Weapons (Recruiter Grenades, EMP Grenades, Cleaner-paks,
Magma Bombs), and power-ups (Morbot Shield, Fleet-Foot, Spring-Foot artifacts,
and the Mil Fire-buddy).

***EUKs found in the field _may_ appear as ammo, if the weapon already has an
upgraded. I haven't nailed down the upgrade system yet. I have seen EUKs appear
as ammo after purchasing a level 2 EUK before-hand (Scatter Blaster, Mining
Laser, Tether). On the other hand, I've seen an EUK work as a Level 2 and Level
3 EUK (Ripper). Any feed-back regarding the upgrade system would also be
appreciated.***

The primary weapons offered by the Barter Droids (Scatter Blaster, Rocket
Launcher) will be found later in the game for free. (They will be found soon
after they are offered. They may even be in the game before they are offered. )
IMO, it's better to save your washers for upgrades, ammo, and special secondary
weapons.

All of the upgrades except for the Level 3 Scatter Blaster and Ripper can also
be found. (These two may also be there, but I did not find them.) Upgrade
prices will drop (drastically in some cases) as the game progresses. For the
most part, once an upgrade is offered by the Barter Droids, it will be continue
to be offered until you buy it, or can not use it. (I will only list the _first
occurences_ of the primary weapons and for-purchase EUKs. So you may see more
than listed when you visit the Barter Droids.) When a weapon is maxed out (see
the "Items/Weapons/Enemies FAQ" mentioned above) EUKs for it will appear as
weapons in the field, and will no longer be offered by the Barter Droids.

It can be beneficial to have the upgrades earlier, but it's also nice to have
plenty of washers for secondary weapons (expensive), ammo, and health. (Health
and ammo can be a major factor on NoS diff setting. And the perceived
difficulty can be affected considerably by secondary weapons.) There are quite
a few washers to be found in the game, though. I would guess somewhere near
1500. (Washers are dropped by some enemies, and some shootable inanimate
objects. Gold washers can also be found loose.)

Ammo (weapons), Energy, and secondary weapons may be dropped by enemies. What
is dropped varies somewhat by level. _In general_, Grunts will drop primarily
what Grunts are using for weapons in the level (including secondary weapons).
Titans will generally drop Rocket Launchers, or SPEWs. Guards, Scientists, and
Troopers will tend to drop EMP Grenades, and Cleaner-paks. ZombieBots tend
toward Scatter Blasters. Recruiter Grenades are rarely dropped. Energy is
commonly dropped by all enemies (and some inanimate objects).

I mention the most commomly dropped ammo, and try to give locations of the
rarer ammo. (Keep in mind that Rivet Gun and Scatter Blaster ammo fills a
weapon, but Rockets come in paks of four. So even if Rockets are listed as
frequently dropped, you may actually get more kills out of a rarer ammo in a
level.)

black rocks to the rear of the tunnel opening is a jump-booster).

The Shield power-up is on a roof at the end of the zip-line from the Rocket-
Launcher alcove. Another Cleaner-pak is at the end of one of the elevated
passage-ways in the second area. The Battery is at the end of the tunnel to the

"hanging out". *The first Scatter Blaster (there are many) is just across the
bridge you start the level on.*

There is a mega-energy in the large room just past the dry bridge (alcove above
the big nut).

Coring Charges, as well as SPEW, Rocket Launcher, and Scatter Blaster ammo are

The Fleet-Foot Power-up is in the covered hole nearest to where you begin the
level. (Get Kingie to drag his spiked ball across the cover.) It is recurring.

Very near that hole is a vertical pipe with two bends. There is a mega-energy
that will fall if he hits near it with the spiked ball. Another covered hole
also has mega-energy.

SPEW, Rocket Launcher, Scatter Blaster, and Rivet Gun ammo are all recurring.

You start the level with Moser's Level 2 Rivet Gun. The first EMP Grenade is
behind a big rock after you jump up out of the trenches. The Rocket Launcher
EUK is in the trench section that is blocked by rocks. (You can drop down to it
from above, between the turret and where you find the EMP Grenade, or blow the
rocks with a Coring Charge.) The Cleaner-pak is along the left wall, in the
open area that the first tower is in (second open area). The second EMP Grenade
is in an alcove in the wall near the second tower. The third EMP Grenade is in
the bunker with ramps, in the last area.

There is Scatter Blaster ammo in the first side room after, riding the first
elevator down to the tunnels. (Trigger the first alarm (Scout) or press the red

onto the catwalk above the last area, one of the Grunts should have a Scatter
Blaster. There is Scatter Blaster ammo in the bunker below the zip-line, in the
