'Embark on a single-player journey here!'

In Solo Mode, you can embark on an exciting single-player quest for coins and
Stars! The mini-game you play is determined by the type of space you stop on
when you move around the board. Because it's so packed with mini-games,
playing Solo Mode is a great way to collect lots of them. You can even get
Rare Mini-Games if you're lucky.

Source: Mario Party 6 Manual

So basically, you can fill your Star Bank really quickly with Solo Mode, you
can also get most of the Mini-games here. The boards are very small so they
are not boring or anything.

One more thing I forgot to mention, the space placing on the board is RANDOM,
except for some spaces like the ? spaces or the Rare Mini-game space obviously.

============================================
             1. Overview
============================================

Unlike Party Mode boards, Solo Mode boards are one-way paths that have an end.
If you walk past the last space, you'll lose all the coins and mini-games
you've collected (you collect a mini-game ONLY if you win that mini game)
along the way. Either stop on the Rare Mini-game space (which is at the end),
or call it quits early to keep the mini-games you've earned. You will then
be able to play them in Mini-Game Mode.

If you end the game without walking over the edge of the board, you may win
Bonus Stars depending on how well you did (1 Star = 20 coins).
Brighton will give you Stars in exchange for any coins you've collected and
store them in the Star Bank for you.

You will be the only one rolling the dice block, the maximum number you can
roll is 6 (unlike Party Mode, where the highest is 10) and also the spaces
you land on determine the kind of mini-game you'll play. Oh and each time
you win a mini-game you get 10 coins.

Before you start playing Solo Mode, you'll have to choose your character and
your partner, after that, you'll choose the difficulty setting and the
board you want to play.

The space placing on the board is random except for some spaces like the
? spaces or the Rare Mini-game space.

============================================
               2. Spaces
============================================

Vs 4
-A blue space with Vs4 written on it
When you land on this space you'll play a 4-Player mini game.

1 vs 3
-A red space with 1vs3 written on it.
When you land on this space you'll play a game against the Koopa Kids.

2 vs 2
-A yellow space with 2vs2 written on it.
When you land on this space you'll play a game with your partner (CPU) versus
2 Koopa Kids.

Battle Mini-game Space
-A purple space with a B on it.
A Battle Mini-Game will begin if you landed on this space.

Rare Mini-Game Space
-A colorful space with a big and a small star.
If you happen to land on this space, you'll get one of the 4 Rare Mini-games
and 50 coins. Note that you can only get 3 out of the 4 Rare Mini-games,
the last one (Seer Terror) must be bought from the Star Bank.

Bowser Space
-A black space with Bowser's face on it.
You'll play a Mini-Game hosted by Bowser (1 vs 3 most of the time) and if
you lose, he could take away all of your coins.

Duel Mini-Game Space
-A space that can be either red, green or blue.
When you land on this space, you'll duel a Koopa Kid, the Koopa Kid that you
duel depends on the color of the space.

? Space
-A green space with a ? written on it.
You'll get backtracked if you land on this space, useful if you want more
coins/minigames. Note: If you land on a ? space in Astro Avenue, instead
of getting backtracked, you'll get closer to the end.

Orb Space
-A colorless space with an orb on it
You'll get an orb whenever you pass this space, please note that this space
DOES NOT count towards your 'Spaces Left' counter.

============================================
                3. Orbs
============================================

There are only 2 kinds of orbs in Solo Mode, and unlike Party Mode, you
can't buy them in Orb Huts, you'll get them whenever you pass the Orb Spaces
scattered around the board.

Sluggish Mushroom Orb
-A green mushroom.
Effect: The dice block will roll slowly.
Hint: Try to hit the Dice Block one number before the number you want to hit.
Example: If you want to hit '6', wait till '5' shows up and hit the Dice
Block.

Cursed Mushroom Orb
-A purple mushroom.
Effect: The dice block will only cycle from 1 to 3.

--------------------------------------------
| IV. B O A R D S                            |
--------------------------------------------

There are 3 different boards in Solo Mode.

============================================
             1. Thirsty Gulch
============================================

This sunbaked board features lots of 2-Vs-2 Mini-game spaces. If you stop
on a ? space, you'll cause a landside that will send you back toward the
Start Space, the landside will backtrack you 5 spaces. Again, if you wish
to earn more mini-games, you'll want to land on thees spaces.

Thirsty Gulch is helpful if you just want to get 10+ stars really quickly and
do not want to spend much time playing.

This board has:

1. 15 Regular Spaces
    -5 2-Vs-2 spaces
    -3 Duel spaces
    -2 ? spaces
    -1 1-Vs-3 space
    -1 4-Vs space
    -1 Battle space
    -1 Bowser space
    -The Rare Mini-game space

2. 2 Orb Spaces

============================================
             2. Astro Avenue
============================================

Take a stellar stroll on this cosmic board that's packed with 1-Vs.-3
Mini-game Spaces. Stop on the ? Space to rocket your way closer to the
end of the board.

I personally love this board, I don't know why, maybe the whole space theme
makes me happy or something.

This board has:

1. 25 Regular Spaces
    -9 1-Vs-3 spaces
    -3 4-Vs spaces
    -3 2-Vs-2 spaces
    -3 Duel spaces
    -2 ? spaces
    -2 Battle spaces
    -2 Bowser spaces
    -The Rare Mini-game space

2. 2 Orb Spaces

============================================
            3. Infernal Tower
============================================

Beware of Bowser's brutal tower! This board has lots of 4 Player Mini-game
Spaces. Stop on the ? Space to get a Chain Chomp to take you back to the
Start Space.

This is the longest board of Solo Mode, you can earn tons of Stars here, it's
very easy to get backtracked to the Start space. Try to do a lot of runs in
here for many bonuses/stars!

1. 31 Regular Spaces
    -11 4-Vs spaces
    -4 1-Vs-3 spaces
    -4 2-Vs-2 spaces
    -3 Bowser spaces
    -3 Battle spaces
    -3 Duel spaces
    -2 ? spaces
    -The Rare Mini-game space

2. 3 Orb Spaces

--------------------------------------------
| V. S O L O   M O D E   B O N U S E S       |
--------------------------------------------

Each time you finish/quit a Solo Mode board, you get bonuses depending on
how well you did or what difficulty level you chose. These are similar to
Super Smash Brothers Melee bonuses.

I have not unlocked every single bonus, if you have any idea what happens
if you get them, contact me. I'm missing only 2 as of now! Thanks for
your help! You're the ones helping me make this FAQ better ^^.

NOTE: You can check your current bonuses in Options Mode.

*If cumulative has an X, it means the bonus can be rewarded with coins
multiple times. For example, if your difficulty level was set to Normal
and you won 3 Mini-games, then you get 30 coins + the 15 coins you get
for beating the Mini-games on normal. Considering you got 30 coins in
the board for beating those mini-games, then your total comes to 75
coins!

Here are some of the secrets and unlockables that help enhance the Solo Mode
experience. Hope you enjoy them.

============================================
               1. Secrets
============================================

-Use the Mic to roll the dice, you have a chance that that number will pop up.
Note: You must wait at least 2 seconds to make the game interpret your
command, then press A.

-Use Sluggish Mushrooms to your advantage! If you want to land exactly
on the final space, save one mushroom for the end!.

============================================
             2. Unlockables
============================================

There are a couple of things you can unlock in the Star Bank that affect
Solo Mode or have to do with it.

Harder Difficulty Level
Cost: 30 Stars
You can get more coins if you use this difficulty.

Toadette
Cost: 30 Stars
You can play as Toadette! Play as her in Solo Mode! =P

Mic Secret 3:
Cost: 10 Stars
'In Solo-Mode, try saying the number you want to hit on the Dice Block.
Maybe that number will pop up... but let's keep that between you and me.'
Not really an unlockable but if you buy it, the game tells you about it.

Solo Mode Sound Check
Cost: 30 Stars
You can listen to the Solo Mode music! What's that 'Gift' BGM I see?
Perhaps the reward of getting every Solo Mode bonus?

------------------------------------------

There are 3 Rare Mini-games that you can only get in Solo-Mode. You win
Rare Mini-games by landing on a Rare Mini-game space. The last Rare Mini-game
must be bought from the Star Bank in order to play it.

============================================

street ball!

Controls:
Control Stick: Dribble and move
A button: Shoot or jump
B button: Pass to a teammate or steal
X button: High pass

Advice:
Jump under the hoop to slam-dunk the bal. For the ultimate b-bal
insult, try catching air off a rival's head and dunking it over them!

============================================
              2. Lab Brats
============================================

Rules:
Find the end of Prof E. Gadd's maze! You'll get a rank based on your speed
and how many friends you find.

Advice: Use the overhead view to find the path to the exit and where the
lost characters are.

============================================
              3. Block Star

Clear away all the Star Blocks to beat the level.

Advice:
Clear away the Time Block to add an extra 15 seconds to the timer!

Blocks will flash red and drain precious seconds from the timer if they stack
too high.

============================================
              4. Seer Terror

Bowser will peer into his crystal ball and predict your future!
